- 0:00She can keep in the line, everything's fine, you got all that you need, with Curry and the Keeper.
- 0:13Yeah, Curry and the Keeper.
- 0:15Curry and the Keeper, Wednesday, January 21st, episode 147.
- 0:19Curry and the Keeper.
- 0:22And hello, my queen.
- 0:26better than any queen I've seen on screen.
- 0:29And I've seen a lot of them the past few weeks.
- 0:32Did you just come up with that?
- 0:34I wrote it down just before the show.
- 0:36Nice.
- 0:36Cheers me, baby.
- 0:37Cheers me.
- 0:38Let's hit it.
- 0:39Oh, wow.
- 0:40That sounded like heavy glass.
- 0:43Drinking Topo Chico.
- 0:44Topo Chico.
- 0:45That's right.
- 0:46It is only me drinking the grape once again.
- 0:49I will have a...
- 0:50I did drink, though, last weekend.
- 0:52Yeah, hold on.
- 0:53Let me drink this.
- 0:54This is the show for today.
- 0:57No, this is good.
- 1:00This is what the bank manager gave us.
- 1:05Gave you.
- 1:06He gave it to us.
- 1:07He likes you.
- 1:09He's like, who are you?
- 1:11His assistant?
- 1:11He was so upset about his flabbergasted response to your beauty that he texted me.
- 1:20He was like, I'm sorry.
- 1:21I came across as a fool.
- 1:23I sounded dumb.
- 1:26I don't even know what he said.
- 1:28He was just googly-eyed over you.
- 1:30Like, oh, Mr. Curry, Mr. Curry.
- 1:32This is a Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain.
- 1:38Yeah, you've been enjoying that.
- 1:40It's really good.
- 1:41Yeah.
- 1:41It's almost done.
- 1:42It's almost done.
- 1:43No, you're putting yourself down.
- 1:46That's ridiculous.
- 1:47It's funny.
- 1:47He was flustered.
- 1:49The only thing I remember about him is he was taller than you, which is a rarity.
- 1:52And when you said that, he was like, and his name is Adam too.
- 1:57So there was like a whole bunch of stuff.
- 1:59It's anyway.
- 2:00Yes.
- 2:01He's been trying to get me for coffee for, I don't know, a year.
- 2:04Yes.
- 2:05Well, they love you there.
- 2:07They know you.
- 2:08They're always offering you cookies and dog biscuits.
- 2:11Yes.
- 2:11Would you like, would you like a cookie, Mr. Curry?
- 2:14Would Phoebe like a dog biscuit?
- 2:15Yes.
- 2:16Because I'm always in the drive-thru.
- 2:17Yes.
- 2:18Yes.
- 2:20I think, I think.
- 2:21It has been a day.
- 2:22I made advances today.
- 2:24Yes.
- 2:25We have to, we, before we even talk about today, we have to talk about leading up to today,
- 2:29but we'll get to that in a second.
- 2:31Oh, I guess I'm, I mean, just why don't you shut me down?
- 2:34No matter what I was going to say.
- 2:35I have a list.
- 2:36Can I just say one thing to start us off?
- 2:38I'm starting to finally understand the biblical worldview.
- 2:42Oh.
- 2:42That is what I wanted to say.
- 2:44We just got back from WWJD.
- 2:46Yes.
- 2:46But leading up to it, there were some things that took place today.
- 2:51I know.
- 2:52I have to repent tomorrow.
- 2:55You're so mean.
- 2:56Hello, Vineyard Nation.
- 2:57It's time for Curry and the Keeper once again.
- 3:00We're excited to be here.
- 3:01Confession time for Tina Curry.
- 3:02We're excited to be with y'all today.
- 3:04Yes, yes.
- 3:04But first things first, if people haven't heard the good news, you want to talk about the good news?
- 3:09We're going to be grandparents.
- 3:10We're going to be grandparents.
- 3:11I know.
- 3:11How awesome is this?
- 3:13Finally, one of our daughters have stepped up to the plate.
- 3:15Yes.
- 3:16Luckily, this one forgot the whole BMW thing.
- 3:19I haven't heard anything about that.
- 3:22You just want to tell everyone how they did it?
- 3:25No, it's your daughter.
- 3:26I think you get to tell the story.
- 3:28Well, she's my daughter too, but she's from your lineage.
- 3:33Yes, from my loins.
- 3:35Yes.
- 3:35Exactly.
- 3:36They were here, Kevin and Christina, for Christmas.
- 3:39Yes.
- 3:39We were very excited to have them there.
- 3:41They won an old-fashioned American Christmas.
- 3:44Everything was that.
- 3:44It was everything perfect.
- 3:46The weather was a little too warm for an old-fashioned American Christmas.
- 3:49But it was perfect for Kevin, though.
- 3:51So it was summer for them, but they came in from Austin.
- 3:55So, you know, that's like a nine hour flight.
- 3:59Then they had to drive from, well, they didn't drive.
- 4:01We had Robert pick them up, drove here.
- 4:04So, you know, they were tired.
- 4:06We had food for them and they said, well, we have to give you one of your Christmas gifts now.
- 4:12And I'm like, no, just do it on Christmas.
- 4:14It's a couple of days.
- 4:15No, no, it's important.
- 4:16I give it to you now.
- 4:17Well, can I just interject real quickly?
- 4:20We had no idea because we knew that she had a miscarriage in September.
- 4:25So we weren't thinking anything along those lines at all.
- 4:29No, no.
- 4:31And also not asking, just like letting them heal, et cetera.
- 4:36And so we had to close our eyes.
- 4:38And there was a lot of rustling and bustling.
- 4:39We opened our eyes.
- 4:41And there's for each of us a T-shirt with our grandparent name.
- 4:44And on the back, it says, coming July 2026.
- 4:47and they had the whole role of, what is it called?
- 4:53Ultrasound.
- 4:54Ultrasound.
- 4:54They call it echoes.
- 4:55Echo pictures.
- 4:56Yeah.
- 4:57Of the grandchild.
- 4:59Yes, yes.
- 5:00And we were sworn to secrecy.
- 5:02Right.
- 5:03Because it was still a little on the early side.
- 5:05And wow.
- 5:06I mean.
- 5:07We were shocked.
- 5:08We were completely blown away.
- 5:10And so she was 10 weeks.
- 5:12And so now I think she's 14 or 15 weeks.
- 5:15So she's in her second trimester.
- 5:17Yes.
- 5:17And she's already done, they've already done their, their pictures, their announcement pictures.
- 5:22No, they haven't done the gender reveal.
- 5:24They just did their announcement pictures.
- 5:26All we're doing now is we're really praying for a bigger apartment for them.
- 5:33The Netherlands in general, but Rotterdam is the worst housing situation.
- 5:38There is such a shortage of houses and it's just so difficult to find something within their price range.
- 5:44So we've just been praying.
- 5:45Yes, we are praying.
- 5:47Praying that God brings them something.
- 5:50But I like how when they were here, you were like, I don't want you doing this with my grandchild, and I don't want you doing that with my grandchild.
- 5:57Like what?
- 5:58I can't remember, but I looked at you, I'm like, Adam, it is not your baby.
- 6:02It's my grandchild.
- 6:03I want my grandchild to grow up here.
- 6:06You're going to be one of those.
- 6:08Probably.
- 6:08Yes, probably.
- 6:10I just might be.
- 6:11I really doubt that they'll move here because Kevin's just, Kevin even said, my whole family, my whole community is there.
- 6:17And Christina has to be close to her mom because her mom is getting older.
- 6:21For a while.
- 6:22Yeah.
- 6:22Yeah.
- 6:22Until we have to send, you know, an escape plane because they'll have to escape from the horrible, fiery pit of hell that the EU is becoming.
- 6:32I'm just saying.
- 6:33Yeah.
- 6:33It's okay.
- 6:35The world is their oyster.
- 6:37Yes.
- 6:37They can do whatever they want.
- 6:39We're just super excited.
- 6:40Yes.
- 6:40I could not be more excited.
- 6:42I know.
- 6:43We're very excited.
- 6:44And when we see them at the end of February, she's really going to be popping.
- 6:47It'll be huge.
- 6:48She's going to be popping.
- 6:49She's already popping.
- 6:50It's crazy.
- 6:50We're getting regular updates.
- 6:52Yes.
- 6:52And they've heard the heartbeat.
- 6:54No.
- 6:54And the kid's already doing like finger guns.
- 6:58Yeah.
- 6:58Well, you showed me some pictures.
- 6:59I said, look at the little feet.
- 7:01Yeah.
- 7:01You could see the feet.
- 7:02They were my feet.
- 7:03They were huge curry feet.
- 7:04No.
- 7:04Huge flappers.
- 7:05They're baby feet.
- 7:06Huge flapper feet.
- 7:07They're so cute.
- 7:08It's just such a miracle how God just knit that baby together.
- 7:13I just love that.
- 7:14I love that.
- 7:15So, yes, so that was the big news.
- 7:16That was the big, big news.
- 7:17Yes.
- 7:18Super excited.
- 7:19Yes.
- 7:19And I fell off the alcohol, no alcohol wagon again.
- 7:24Were you like in a sobriety mode?
- 7:26Well, we went, we went, remember we were going to go to a hilltop cafe and we ended up going
- 7:31to Otto's and we both had the Root Awakening cocktails.
- 7:35Oh my Lord.
- 7:36they were delicious.
- 7:38That was good.
- 7:39I know.
- 7:40And it's even more fun to know that the owner of Otto's is a No Agenda fan.
- 7:45I know.
- 7:45Young guy.
- 7:46Yes, I know.
- 7:47Yeah.
- 7:48The Root Awakening.
- 7:49Yes.
- 7:49It's made with beets?
- 7:51Beet sap?
- 7:52Beet vodka.
- 7:53Yeah.
- 7:53It was very good.
- 7:54It was very good.
- 7:55Yeah.
- 7:55So we each had two of those.
- 7:57So yeah, that didn't last long.
- 7:58And then we went out with Pastor Jimmy and Annette last weekend, and I had a glass of wine
- 8:03and a half.
- 8:05All right.
- 8:05Are you looking for me to scold you or to applaud you?
- 8:10No, I want you to say that it's all your fault.
- 8:12OG Salmonier and Michael Anastasio is like, should I send this wine?
- 8:17Like, yes, yes, don't worry, it will be taken care of.
- 8:21Pastor Jimmy, you know, he's always eyeing my wine.
- 8:24He's like, oh, that looks pretty good.
- 8:27I love my one glass, usually one glass an evening.
- 8:31I'm just not drinking to excess anymore like I did on New Year's Eve.
- 8:35You were never drinking to excess.
- 8:37On New Year's Eve, I felt like I poisoned myself.
- 8:39Well, New Year's Eve, you set yourself up.
- 8:41We were going out to do it.
- 8:42I know. I said, I'm going to be tipsy.
- 8:43I'm going to get tipsy.
- 8:44I'm like, okay, well, we'll be a Bill Gates tonight.
- 8:49It's so good.
- 8:50I'm driving, so I'm going to be a good man.
- 8:55Moderation in moderation.
- 8:57Yes.
- 8:57Yes.
- 8:57Everything in moderation, including moderation.
- 9:00Exactly.
- 9:01Exactly.
- 9:02So what you got on your list?
- 9:04I have nothing on my list.
- 9:05You drive everything.
- 9:06I just want to talk about our-
- 9:08Let's talk.
- 9:09Let's go there then.
- 9:11Let's go there.
- 9:12This is last week.
- 9:13Tina has been-
- 9:15What are you going to talk about?
- 9:16Wait.
- 9:17Go ahead.
- 9:18You're on the right train track.
- 9:20So Tina has been bugging me for years.
- 9:24You've got to check your health.
- 9:27You've got to make sure you're healthy.
- 9:28Let's just put that out there.
- 9:29men most men don't care about their health they don't no i wake up i feel good everything's good
- 9:36rock and roll let's go baby let's do another show that's my life basically so i finally you know i
- 9:44finally relent and i'm the complete opposite i go every year i have not had my blood taken i've
- 9:51certainly never had a blood panel but i i don't even i don't remember if i've ever had my blood
- 9:55actually taken that I can remember.
- 9:58But the only shot I've had, well, that's not true.
- 10:01When I went to Iraq, I had a couple, but that was different.
- 10:04But I had my IV, when I had my mouth done.
- 10:07And honestly, I'm not, needles I've kind of gotten over because of the IVs that Maverick
- 10:15was jabbing in me.
- 10:16But the idea of a tube of my blood going into test tubes.
- 10:21Let's back it up a little bit.
- 10:23Let's back it up.
- 10:24Okay.
- 10:25So you agree to do this?
- 10:27Of course.
- 10:27I might as well relent.
- 10:29Adam, don't you want to know if your A1C is inching towards type 2 diabetes?
- 10:34No, no.
- 10:34No.
- 10:36It's like, oh, go ahead.
- 10:38Have some chocolate.
- 10:39Your A1C is off the chart.
- 10:41You could be pre-diabetic.
- 10:42You're pre-dead, son.
- 10:44You're on your way to that grave.
- 10:47And I get so tired of it.
- 10:49I'm like, all right.
- 10:52I love you.
- 10:53If it will make you happy to see that I am super healthy, let's do it.
- 10:58And you're like, I can't wait till they take my blood because they're going to see the super specimen that I am.
- 11:05Exactly.
- 11:05That's what you, yes.
- 11:06That was my attitude.
- 11:08Now, we first had to go and do the blood panel.
- 11:11Yes.
- 11:11So that was, so we're going, it was last Monday.
- 11:16We had to go, we had to go.
- 11:18And I could just tell you were just irritated.
- 11:22You were grouchy in the car.
- 11:25You were snippy at me.
- 11:27You were just, you were not happy.
- 11:30Isn't that true?
- 11:30You're really exaggerating.
- 11:32I was not snippy.
- 11:33Yes, you were.
- 11:34No, you kept saying, you're snippy.
- 11:37I'm like, no, I'm actually just quiet.
- 11:39I'm actually just quiet.
- 11:41I've known you for 11 years.
- 11:43I know when your mood changes.
- 11:44You are the same almost every single day.
- 11:46You weren't.
- 11:47You weren't.
- 11:47You were short.
- 11:48I wasn't short.
- 11:50I was just being calm.
- 11:51calm all right whatever what has wait what is but of course as i told you i said
- 12:01i'm nervous i don't like this that was after the fact you told me i was just trying to be quiet
- 12:08during the entire drive oh my gosh i wish i could have recorded this because it would have been a
- 12:16lot of silence i wish i turned to you at one point because you were moaning and groaning i was
- 12:20What was I moaning and groaning about?
- 12:22I don't want to go.
- 12:24I don't want to go.
- 12:26These are lies.
- 12:28That's what I heard in my heart.
- 12:29That's what I heard in my heart.
- 12:30That's understanding.
- 12:31That's what you heard in your heart.
- 12:33It is not what I said.
- 12:35Nothing was coming out of my mouth.
- 12:36And that was what you thought.
- 12:38He's not talking, so therefore he must be grumpy.
- 12:41No, you said something.
- 12:42And I said, look, we don't have to go if you don't want to go.
- 12:45We'll turn around.
- 12:46And you're like, I didn't say that.
- 12:48And I'm like, and so then I'm driving.
- 12:50because you're like, can you drive?
- 12:52I'm too weak to drive.
- 12:53And I'm driving.
- 12:54Oh my gosh, I can't believe.
- 12:57And I'm driving and I hear the Holy Spirit say,
- 13:00keep your mouth shut.
- 13:01Just keep your mouth shut.
- 13:02It's funny because I was praying,
- 13:04Holy Spirit, tell her to keep her mouth shut.
- 13:08Prayers answered right there.
- 13:11But I was, I was praying
- 13:14because I have a very irrational fear of this process.
- 13:18I don't know why,
- 13:19It was not something I wanted to bring up in the car on the way because I'm like, look, I'm just doing this.
- 13:26You're going to be okay.
- 13:27Just do it.
- 13:30You're like coaching yourself silently.
- 13:33Meanwhile, you're like, because something was weird about the time.
- 13:37And this is very you.
- 13:39Weird about the time.
- 13:40Yeah, it was 7 a.m.
- 13:41It was 9 a.m.
- 13:42And you're in the car.
- 13:44If they have our time wrong, I'm just going to leave.
- 13:46and sure enough after an hour's drive we get to the to the place in a strip mall which always
- 13:52makes the guy who's worried about this stuff feel so much better there's like you know chinese
- 13:57takeout that wasn't a blood draw place like you know literally like okay this looks this looks
- 14:07sus as the kids would say we roll up to the window and like hmm that's interesting i don't have you
- 14:15So you're like, I can see you.
- 14:18And we're sitting on the couch and you said, if they don't have this time, we're just going to leave.
- 14:23And I'm like, Lord, let the time be wrong so we can just leave.
- 14:28But the Lord heard me and went, no, no, you got to do this.
- 14:32You're doing this today.
- 14:34No, the Lord heard me.
- 14:35He's like, don't worry, Tina.
- 14:36We're going to figure this out.
- 14:38So I go first.
- 14:42So you're tense.
- 14:43Can I just set the stage?
- 14:44Yes.
- 14:45okay we're ready for you this 12 year old girl she's 15 she takes us back to like a supply closet
- 14:55there there there tool boxes and hammers there all kind and there a chair that looks like an electric chair like a literal electric chair that you sit in where a thing comes down And you strap in put the helmet on they shoot you with 10 volts
- 15:12It's literally a supply closet.
- 15:14There's not a door.
- 15:15It's like, hey, just sit.
- 15:17It was like a cubby hole in the back.
- 15:20The thing is, you never get blood drawn.
- 15:23That's how the...
- 15:24I'm expecting...
- 15:27Like a triage room?
- 15:28A triage room.
- 15:30I'm expecting nurses in uniforms.
- 15:33I'm expecting spotless.
- 15:35No, it's literally in a tool closet.
- 15:37There's a computer running, you know, like Windows 95.
- 15:42The whole thing is disastrous.
- 15:44You are totally exaggerating.
- 15:46And then this old, it looked like an old chair from like 1950s with old cracked red leather.
- 15:53That is so not true.
- 15:53I'm also expecting to be strapped in with, and then, and so you, and then this thing comes down.
- 16:00You put your arm out there and they're like, here's the ball to squeeze on.
- 16:04So I go first because you're shaking in the corner.
- 16:06You're like in the fetal position.
- 16:08I was not.
- 16:09Shaking in the corner of the supply closet.
- 16:12I was not shaking or in a fetal position.
- 16:14I was not happy.
- 16:15But let's keep it within the realm of reality here.
- 16:19Okay, so then I go first.
- 16:21And then she gives you this orange ball to squeeze.
- 16:23That's what you have to do to get your vein popping.
- 16:25I wouldn't know.
- 16:26And then you actually said, no, that's to keep your vein popping.
- 16:30Your vein pop.
- 16:31And I'm like, oh, no, I feel weak now.
- 16:34And I see you squeezing this ball.
- 16:35I saw you went pale.
- 16:37You went pale.
- 16:38No, I didn't.
- 16:38Yeah, you lost all color.
- 16:40No, I did not.
- 16:40You did.
- 16:41I was looking at you.
- 16:42And then the thing goes in, I'm just seeing this black goo coming.
- 16:46I'm like, is my wife even human?
- 16:48What is coming out of her?
- 16:50She goes, wow, you got fast flowing blood.
- 16:53Do you drink a lot of water?
- 16:55And I'm like, well, yes, I do.
- 16:57And so because they pulled out seven vials of blood.
- 16:59That did not make me happy because I saw vial after vial.
- 17:03That's the exact, and I forced myself to look.
- 17:06I'm like, I got to watch this.
- 17:08Excuse me.
- 17:09I'm burping just thinking about it.
- 17:10Nice.
- 17:12All right.
- 17:12So then it's my turn.
- 17:14Yes.
- 17:14And I'm just like, okay.
- 17:16And she gives me the ball to squeeze.
- 17:17Do you want me to hold your hand?
- 17:18And all I had to do was, our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
- 17:26Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
- 17:29And she says, are you with me?
- 17:30Are you okay?
- 17:31Yeah, I'm just doing the Lord's Prayer.
- 17:33Because she thought I was fading away.
- 17:35I think she saw your eyes roll into the back of your head.
- 17:38That's what I think.
- 17:39And the Lord got me through it.
- 17:40It was actually pretty good.
- 17:43What?
- 17:44Well, you saw me.
- 17:45I was okay.
- 17:45Yes, I did.
- 17:46And I heard you a million times say, no, not a million, maybe 10.
- 17:53I'm so proud of myself.
- 17:55I am so proud of myself.
- 17:58I am so proud of myself.
- 18:01I was like, I'm proud of you too, honey.
- 18:04And you were patting yourself on the back.
- 18:06I did a good job.
- 18:07I did it.
- 18:08Oh, and she gave you a lollipop.
- 18:10Remember?
- 18:10No, I took the lollipop.
- 18:13Actually, I was like, I need some sugar real quick.
- 18:14We had to fast.
- 18:15We couldn't eat anything.
- 18:18And didn't this come on the heels?
- 18:19Wasn't this our first day of the church fast as well?
- 18:22Yes, it was.
- 18:23And I'm going to lead into that.
- 18:25But I, yes, your mood changed instantly as soon as we were done.
- 18:31So instead of mocking me, you could just love me.
- 18:35I did.
- 18:35I didn't.
- 18:36I saved it for the show.
- 18:38In your own special way.
- 18:39Yeah.
- 18:39In your own special way.
- 18:41You're snippy.
- 18:42Not for a second thinking, oh, poor man.
- 18:45He's nervous about this.
- 18:47I guess maybe.
- 18:47You snippy.
- 18:48You know what?
- 18:49I guess because you had all your teeth pulled out and you you're handing instruments now to your dentist and you're doing things without even Novocaine.
- 18:58I know.
- 18:58It's not.
- 18:59But in your mouth.
- 19:00It's not a pain thing.
- 19:02That's that's what's.
- 19:02No, I guess it is.
- 19:03It's not a pain thing.
- 19:05Yeah.
- 19:05It's not even the needle.
- 19:06It's just it.
- 19:07I just had this thing of blood flowing.
- 19:10So I'm over it.
- 19:12Yes.
- 19:12I'm really.
- 19:13Because we go back.
- 19:14Wait, wait.
- 19:14I'm healed.
- 19:15I'm healed.
- 19:16I'm healed.
- 19:16And so we go back in March to have more blood drawn.
- 19:20I'll be okay now.
- 19:22Yeah.
- 19:22It's not that bad, right?
- 19:24No.
- 19:25I was very proud.
- 19:26I just want to go on record.
- 19:27I am proud of you.
- 19:28And thank you for doing this for me.
- 19:29Well, of course, between now and the analysis, which was today.
- 19:35Yes, we had to drive.
- 19:36You still continue to say, oh, yeah, have some more sugar.
- 19:38Your A1C is going to be.
- 19:40I'm like, my ACL what?
- 19:41It's like, what are you talking about?
- 19:43What is going to.
- 19:44I don't know what you're talking about.
- 19:45You've got A1Cs, your hemoglobins, and your slicking la cajones, and all of this, and you're pre-diabetic.
- 19:52And you can't, pre-diabetes, it's all happening.
- 19:57This is it.
- 19:57We're going to find out.
- 19:59And oh boy, your life's going to change, Curry.
- 20:01You're going to have to change.
- 20:03Because, you know, I have like four squares of chocolate for dessert.
- 20:08Or maybe, okay, I've indulged a bit on the Dutch licorice.
- 20:11Really?
- 20:11What did you say?
- 20:12No, I've wolfed it down.
- 20:14but it's all it's almost gone now so that's the beauty of dutch licorice it has to come from
- 20:19dutchland and if it's and it's not here anymore so it's gone but anyway it's god okay so it didn't
- 20:26stop you from telling me that i was pre-dead i did i didn't say you kept saying well we're gonna
- 20:33say oh are you sure you want to have that wine because you know it's all sugar and that's insulin
- 20:38resistance because you know you're pre-dead you've been watching too much instagram doctors you know
- 20:43like i know a lot about a lot i know but but you're telling me that you know insulin resistance you
- 20:50know this is what's going to happen and you know you're going to have to be walking around in
- 20:53crutches because they're going to take your feet off and like i'm just all this stuff is happening
- 20:57it's horrible okay yes yeah so then what so today we go we have to go we have to get our results and
- 21:06Meet with the PA.
- 21:07Now, this is, at this point, I'm super calm.
- 21:12Well, when you weren't getting stuff in the portal, because you didn't set your portal up right,
- 21:16you were like, why can't I get my, I can't get my results in the portal?
- 21:19Yeah, because you're talking about your ferrites or whatever.
- 21:22Ferrites.
- 21:23What are my ferrites?
- 21:25Ferriton, not ferrites.
- 21:27My ferrites are.
- 21:28And it's like, oh, you're not connected.
- 21:30Of course I'm not.
- 21:31You know, because obviously, you know, well, you're here, connect to a provider.
- 21:35Oh, there's no provider named that.
- 21:38Whatever.
- 21:39I'll just wait.
- 21:40Now, the appointment, and this is actually a show prep day, but that's okay.
- 21:48The appointment, your appointment's at 1240.
- 21:51My appointment's on 141 after another.
- 21:54So we do our little things here in the morning.
- 21:57I'm ready to go.
- 21:59I'm good on time.
- 22:00Like, boom, 11 a.m.
- 22:01I'm standing by the door.
- 22:02We're good.
- 22:03We're walking out.
- 22:04We're driving.
- 22:05and we drive down Route 87 and...
- 22:09Which is a two-lane road.
- 22:11Yeah, it's the road through Comfort to I-10,
- 22:18and there's an accident,
- 22:20and it pops up on the screen.
- 22:22Accident, it's like, okay, slow down.
- 22:24There were already some weird cop cars much further back
- 22:28that we didn't quite, you know...
- 22:29That could have told us that the road was closed
- 22:32to get to the highway.
- 22:33And so we're...
- 22:35We're there and like people are turning back almost right away.
- 22:39So like, well, why don't we, we still have, we might be a little late,
- 22:43but why don't we turn back, go back over 16 all the way back to I-10.
- 22:48And then it's at least another 20 minutes longer than this road,
- 22:52but then we'll get there.
- 22:52And so, and I will take this on me, but already you're in the car like,
- 22:58oh, I can't believe we're going to be late.
- 23:00I hate being late, which you do.
- 23:01I do.
- 23:02I don't.
- 23:02Oh, it's going to be late.
- 23:03It's going to be late.
- 23:04Can't be late.
- 23:05This could be late.
- 23:05Okay.
- 23:06And I'm just quiet, you know.
- 23:07And then we're going through town.
- 23:10You're like, it's 40 here.
- 23:11I know.
- 23:11I'm going 45.
- 23:12I'm trying to make up a little bit of time.
- 23:14Oh, only because the Fredericksburg cops on that stretch, they'll pull you over.
- 23:19Right.
- 23:19I just didn't want you to get pulled over.
- 23:21That's why.
- 23:21But I know you were trying to make up time because I was stressing in the passenger seat.
- 23:26So we're looking at alternate routes and ways, which, by the way, ways should have told me in the first place.
- 23:32this isn't this supposed to be the big community crowdsource right the road is closed no none of
- 23:39that and so i'm like hey look at this here's an alternate route and it goes to i-10 and we i look
- 23:44all the other ones said 87 this did not say 87 it was like the old kerr road highway yes the back
- 23:52roads and and we're going around like this is cool we can go yeah we'll make it we're gonna make it
- 23:5645 here we're gonna make it we're gonna make it and it dumps us out on 87 right in front of the
- 24:01accident and as we're pulling out we see a sheriff and like roll down the window it's mike the sheriff
- 24:10and mike comes over hey mike the sheriff with the anger management problems i'm like hey man
- 24:17have you been demoted that you're on traffic duty he's like no man i don't have enough guys who've
- 24:22been here since 4 a.m and and so uh luckily no one was serious well someone went to the hospital
- 24:29No one died, but it was a big rig, and they were now trying to extract it.
- 24:35So he said, it's going to take a while.
- 24:37So we're already in the car an hour, so we basically went in a big circle.
- 24:41One hour long circle.
- 24:42And I, okay, Mike, hey, brother, got to see you soon.
- 24:46Wish I could be on the force and help you.
- 24:48I'm too old.
- 24:48Okay.
- 24:51And as we're driving back, I think you, what's the term?
- 24:55You lost it.
- 24:55you lost it i did i was even a net goes you kind of yelled at me i didn't yell at you i was very
- 25:06because i waited three months for this appointment you mentioned this several times in your tirade
- 25:13yes i waited and you were i won't repeat the words yes and i have to repent tomorrow morning
- 25:17on my prayer walk because i was not i was so in my flesh and and pastor jimmy was talking about
- 25:24God being in control. He's sovereign. And, you know, he just, he, it's all him. And I was so
- 25:31in my flesh about it. And I, I recognize that I really do. And that's why I kept apologizing to
- 25:36you. Like I feel, you don't have to apologize. I do because you sat there and you didn't say much
- 25:42at all. You just let me. And then, so finally we have to go all the way around again in the circle
- 25:48again. And I'm like, we're not going to make my appointment. We're not, we're going to miss it.
- 25:53And so I ended up calling the office and luckily your appointment was at 140.
- 25:57So we just took your appointment, but we're driving there and we get in.
- 26:01It's 70 miles an hour and we get in front of a car going 45 behind the car.
- 26:06Oh, behind the car.
- 26:07Yes.
- 26:08There was a truck behind that car and we were behind the truck.
- 26:11And so I was thinking about that when Pastor Jimmy was talking about not getting all worked up, you know, about situations out of your control.
- 26:19I'm like, I that drove me crazy.
- 26:21You were, I hate these people.
- 26:24I didn't say that.
- 26:25I said, I hate when people do not drive the, I don't hate the person.
- 26:29I hate when they.
- 26:30Don't hate the player, hate the game.
- 26:32Yes.
- 26:33Well, and here's what I was thinking.
- 26:37God's got a reason for this.
- 26:38I knew you were going to say that.
- 26:39Because I really thought that.
- 26:41And at a certain point, you were like, someone doesn't want us to get there.
- 26:45Someone doesn't want us to get there.
- 26:47And I said, maybe someone doesn't want us to get in some kind of weird situation.
- 26:52Maybe this was protective measure.
- 26:54I'm pretty sure I said something like that.
- 26:56You did say that.
- 26:56And I really felt that.
- 26:58I'm like, this is going to be okay.
- 27:00Whatever is going to, and it was, it was liberating because, and this is maybe the first time in my life I've actually felt this way.
- 27:10I'm like, nah, I'm not in control.
- 27:13Tina's not in, no one's in control of this.
- 27:15Let's just see what happens.
- 27:17If it's too late and it doesn't happen or doesn't work, whatever, we'll see what happens.
- 27:22I understood your frustration.
- 27:25What is this face you're making?
- 27:27It makes me feel even worse for you saying that.
- 27:30No, why?
- 27:31Because I was all in my flesh.
- 27:33Babe, it was not only three days earlier that I had lost my crap over something else.
- 27:38So it's not like, you know, I'm close, but I'm not perfect.
- 27:42Oh, brother.
- 27:43my eyes just rolled so far back into my head yeah but anyway so long story short we got there
- 27:52about a half hour late wasn't too bad actually all things considered it took us two almost two
- 27:58and a half hours for an hour and 15 minutes and you're talking to people on the phone oh we've
- 28:02been driving for eight hours i didn't say that it sounded like it i didn't say that we've been in
- 28:08the car now for two and a half hours i'm like and shall i drive home on the way back i'm like no i
- 28:13kind of enjoyed i never drive so i'm kind of you know the car drives itself kind of you know so i'm
- 28:18having a good time you know we're on the highway you're doing your your typical thing like you need
- 28:22to get over into the right lane tapping the window which by the way i love i love i can't help it
- 28:29because i don't think you plan ahead when you drive you don't plan ahead a problem for me you
- 28:34don't plan it i'm like our exit's a half a mile away and he's all the way in the left lane we have
- 28:39It should be all the way in the right lane.
- 28:40It's never been less than a mile.
- 28:42So I start tapping the window like...
- 28:44How do you put up with me?
- 28:47I'm the worst.
- 28:49But see, you're misunderstanding it.
- 28:51I love it.
- 28:52If you didn't do it...
- 28:53Do you really?
- 28:54I really do.
- 28:54Okay.
- 28:55I turned that around a long time ago.
- 28:58I can't help it.
- 28:59I really can't.
- 29:00I know.
- 29:00I can't help myself.
- 29:02I'm in control in the car.
- 29:04And I think, okay, she thinks she's in control.
- 29:07That's fine.
- 29:08That's good.
- 29:09that's fine i'm so bad no you're but this is what i'm trying to tell you you're not you're not it's
- 29:14okay it's okay it's really okay it is what makes you you at this moment yes so we got there and
- 29:20she went through all of your labs first and for the most part what wait wait yes
- 29:27she first said i'll just go through adam's it'll be quick
- 29:35because she said men are quick anyway that's what she said true but i didn't care about anything she
- 29:43said except your a1c she's like no this is good i'm like excuse me doc i'm gonna get my hands in
- 29:53the air i'm i'm like i'm like doing the robot i'm doing the running man i'm doing all that i'm like
- 29:59oh oh wow my a1c is not all that bad now is it everything now testosterone of course for a man of 61 i could use a little more tea i like you got low tea man i got low tea man okay that really fixable that not a problem uh but in general i would say
- 30:21you're you're doing pretty well i'm doing pretty good yeah so that made me feel good and then for
- 30:26the next hour i had to listen to all your problems oh my lord what is all this stuff
- 30:32You got Hashimoto, you got Satoshi Nakamoto, you got your open kimono, your closed kimono.
- 30:41All this stuff is going on.
- 30:42I know.
- 30:43Women.
- 30:43And the solution is just give blood from time to time.
- 30:46Like, holy moly, that's my nightmare right there.
- 30:49What is the solution to your iron whatever?
- 30:52Like, just give some blood.
- 30:53I'm like, what?
- 30:55That would be a death sentence to me.
- 30:57I don't want that.
- 30:59It was amazing.
- 31:00and i was and i was just sitting like oh i feel so good i gotta oh i gotta have some d3 and b12
- 31:06obviously not dead yet curry's gonna live forever
- 31:12and so she says well with the testosterone you could have the cream
- 31:19or you could you can do injections you like cream cream cream cream cream cream cream
- 31:27the cream. I'll do the cream. Yep. Yep. Yep. Cream. Cream is good.
- 31:34Yes. I have a lot of problems. My, so my B12 is off the chart. I don't know why.
- 31:41That's what she said. Just give some blood. It'll go down.
- 31:43That was my ferritin. My ferritin levels.
- 31:45Your pheromones, your ferritines, whatever it is. Your ferrites.
- 31:49Go, go, go. Donate some blood. You'll be fine.
- 31:51It's amazing. What a death sentence for me. I don't like so happy.
- 31:55anyway so we got through it
- 31:57and I'm so happy that we both did it
- 32:00and also thank you for making me do this
- 32:03you're welcome
- 32:04it was time
- 32:04I'm happy I know it
- 32:06no I just know
- 32:06I'm good
- 32:08I'm kind of worried about the B12
- 32:11it was exceptionally high
- 32:14she didn't seem to be too worried about it though
- 32:15she was like
- 32:16anyway
- 32:19yes we got through it
- 32:20and you're a healthy specimen
- 32:22as you predicted with low T
- 32:24it's not super low no but she said you'll feel better she wants you to double it yeah so you
- 32:33get your little cream you'll be all good yeah oh good that's all i mean yeah i'm doing the shots
- 32:39i'm doing testosterone shots yeah that's great hi it's tina curry to keep her i'm like adam

- 34:02into it i'm like yeah exactly i know i know no it's good no this is i need i need to know this
- 34:10How am I ever going to just let go?
- 34:15And I'm typically not like this, but today I would.
- 34:18What?
- 34:21No, not at all.
- 34:23Typically not.
- 34:24I'm not this bad.
- 34:26You control the schedule of your day from the moment you wake up.
- 34:30Well, I have to.
- 34:33I'm like, good morning, Holy Spirit.
- 34:34Good morning, my love.
- 34:36Yes, I'm going walking.
- 34:37and then you have the eggs ready when I come back
- 34:40because I've got coffee with this person
- 34:42and lunch with that person.
- 34:43I have a newsletter to do.
- 34:45I've got to be at the church for the women's ministry.
- 34:48What are you doing today?
- 34:52I have to, well, all right, I'm the worst.
- 34:56No, you're not.
- 34:58Stop saying that.
- 34:59Let's talk about our fast.
- 35:00Let's stop saying that you're the worst, okay?
- 35:02Because you're not.
- 35:03Okay, you're the worst.
- 35:04Well, no, that's clearly not true.
- 35:07Yes, we know.
- 35:08You're the perfect specimen.
- 35:10I have all these names for our show.
- 35:12No, I am just not dead yet.
- 35:15Don't count me out yet.
- 35:17Not dead yet.
- 35:17Not dead yet, but that's a good one.
- 35:20So let's talk about our fast.
- 35:22So we did a week-long fast.
- 35:24This was hard for me.
- 35:25It was hard for you.
- 35:26It was harder than, for some reason, harder than the last time.
- 35:29So you fasted, you ate one meal a day and no wine.
- 35:33You had no wine.
- 35:34And I fasted from social media.
- 35:36and I started reading a book by Derek Prince that one of our listeners sent us.
- 35:41I think it's the fundamentals of Christianity.
- 35:44Very interesting.
- 35:45And this is a church fast.
- 35:47So the whole church does it and you can do many different ways.
- 35:50It's different ways to fast.
- 35:51As long as you're, you know, as long as you, to me, I get a lot of clarity.
- 35:55It really does help in that, but it was, I don't know.
- 35:59It was just, it felt physically harder for some reason.
- 36:02Yeah. A little bit.
- 36:03Yeah.
- 36:03I noticed for me, it was so interesting because I'd open my iPad and without even thinking about it, I would open up Instagram and I'd be like, oh my gosh, no.
- 36:14You said it happened three times in a row.
- 36:16Yeah, three times where I automatically just went to it without even thinking, which showed me how addicting it is.
- 36:24And I kind of went through withdrawals and I couldn't wait to get back on it, to see it, to see what was on it.
- 36:31Yeah, that's bad.
- 36:32That's bad.
- 36:33I'm not going to say anything, but I remember when he broke our fast, the first thing he
- 36:39did was get on Instagram.
- 36:40Yeah.
- 36:41I had to check and see all my Insta families, see how they're doing.
- 36:44Make sure they were still alive.
- 36:47Yeah.
- 36:48They're all fine.
- 36:51As long as it brings you joy, baby.
- 36:54I don't know.
- 36:54I know.
- 36:55Sometimes I'll look over your shoulder.
- 36:56I'm like, okay.
- 36:58All right.
- 36:59I look at streams.
- 37:00Food, dogs.
- 37:01I look at streams.
- 37:02I like looking at happy people.
- 37:03But during this fast, we've been watching only one type of program in general after we watched Victoria.
- 37:11Actually, it started with...
- 37:14The Gilded Age.
- 37:15The Gilded Age.
- 37:15Then we watched Downton Abbey.
- 37:17And then we watched Victoria.
- 37:18Yes.
- 37:19And now we're going through The Crown.
- 37:21And what a miserable life.
- 37:24No kidding.
- 37:26And I've met this woman.
- 37:27I have met this queen.
- 37:30How long ago did you meet her?
- 37:312000?
- 37:3225 years ago?
- 37:34No, no, no.
- 37:34It was 20 years ago, 2005.
- 37:37Five.
- 37:38So she was probably, what, 75 at the time?
- 37:40Something like that?
- 37:41Yeah, up there.
- 37:42Didn't she die at like 95?
- 37:43Yeah.
- 37:44From the moment she had to take the throne, she was unhappy.
- 37:49She was miserable.
- 37:49And kind of, you know, as we've been doing this, particularly tonight, you know, they call themselves the sovereign.
- 37:58Oh, my gosh.
- 37:59And then as I'm listening to, and we're reading scripture about God being sovereign and how God crushes kings and build kings up.
- 38:08And I'm like, these people who consider themselves sovereign next to God.
- 38:14I mean, you really had the Anglican Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
- 38:19The Roman Catholic Church there, the Pope is the connection to God.
- 38:23and the Anglicans, the Church of England,
- 38:25it's the sovereign who clearly are just very normal people
- 38:30with a lot of normal people issues.
- 38:33And their lives just seem crushing.
- 38:35It just seems bad.
- 38:37They live in that dark, drab palace.
- 38:39When I went there, it was a dark, I mean,
- 38:42it was the picture hall that we keep seeing.
- 38:45It was that.
- 38:45And it was cool because it was like, oh, I've never seen that Rembrandt.
- 38:49But it's just the whole thing.
- 38:51It's dusty and dank.
- 38:52And it's so different from Victoria because the Victorian age was much more glamorous and beautiful.
- 39:00And I look at the crown and, you know, which goes from like the 30s.
- 39:04Well, we're now in season two.
- 39:07Yes, we're in the 60s now.
- 39:08So in the 60s.
- 39:10But this is exactly what London has always been to me when I lived there.
- 39:14Cold, wet, dark, drab, stinky, depressing, greasy.
- 39:21Yes.
- 39:21Yeah. No offense, Brits. No offense. I mean, there's also, I like a lot of their humor. I've always liked their humor, but, oh man, it's just like when you call yourself sovereign and it's almost like God's like, yeah, I don't think so.
- 39:38yeah and maybe i don't know maybe we're glued to it now and we are oh yeah the historical nature
- 39:43yes and i and i even said to you last night i said i am so interested in history now i wish i
- 39:48would have been as interested in that when i never too late to learn no and that's why partly why
- 39:54we're watching this is because we watched that one um mini series about james garfield the 20th
- 40:01president yeah oh that's right we had that yeah which was it was really interesting i didn't know
- 40:06I didn't know anything about that either.
- 40:08That was good.
- 40:09So, yeah.
- 40:09So we, that's one thing we did on the fast.
- 40:12We did watch the crowd.
- 40:14We did.
- 40:14Yeah, it was good.
- 40:15So I have on my list here.
- 40:16Can I just say something?
- 40:17Yes.
- 40:18I love you.
- 40:18I love doing all this stuff with you.
- 40:20My life is so rich because of all the things we do together.
- 40:23Even when I tap on the window?
- 40:25Oh, that is like a cherry on top of the ice cream sundae, baby.
- 40:29It's awesome.
- 40:30I love you too, baby.
- 40:31It's awesome.
- 40:31And I appreciate that you did this with me too.
- 40:33No, thank you.
- 40:34Because I need you around.
- 40:35I need you.
- 40:37I know.
- 40:37I know what it's all about.
- 40:38Yeah.
- 40:39Yeah.
- 40:40What's it all about?
- 40:42Safety, security.
- 40:43No.
- 40:45Well, no, but there's like, I was also sick for about, actually, it was probably about
- 40:4910 days, which was partially the flu.
- 40:53And then it morphed along with some allergies.
- 40:58When I'm not strong, you hate that.
- 41:03You really don't like it.
- 41:04And you actually get a little bit mean.
- 41:06You don't know it, but you get a little bit like, he's so weak.
- 41:12I do not say that.
- 41:14I don't say that.
- 41:15No, you don't.
- 41:15But you don't like it.
- 41:17I don't like it.
- 41:19I don't like when you're sick.
- 41:20I don't.
- 41:20But if I needed to jump up and save you from the burning building, don't worry.
- 41:24I'll be there.
- 41:25I'll be there.
- 41:25I get a little mean.
- 41:26I don't like that.
- 41:27Well, I'm horrible.
- 41:29This is roast Tina show.
- 41:31No, you're not.
- 41:31Yes, it is.
- 41:32You're not.
- 41:33You are...
- 41:34You are the woman that was meant for me.
- 41:37It's so obvious.
- 41:38So obvious.
- 41:39All right.
- 41:40I have on my list here.
- 41:41Back to you, Bob.
- 41:42Moans and groans on show days unless he likes what he's doing.
- 41:46Dinner with Mitch.
- 41:47Okay.
- 41:48Yes.
- 41:49So typically.
- 41:50What are we doing?
- 41:51So typically, I have to figure out what I put in.
- 41:54You really wrote something down.
- 41:55Okay.
- 41:55So typically, if I plan something on show days, you're just, oh, oh.
- 42:01Yeah, that's true.
- 42:02That is true.
- 42:02But then when you were having dinner plans with Mitch, you were like, I'm excited.
- 42:08Maverick.
- 42:08You're excited.
- 42:09Well, first of all, it's only because he has an office now in Fredericksburg and he's only here on Thursday.
- 42:15And when he texted me during the show and said, I have to delay until like 6, 630 or 7.
- 42:24I was like, ugh.
- 42:25I said, well, you go ahead.
- 42:27You were fasting too.
- 42:28You go ahead and you change the reservation because I'm not going to do it.
- 42:33So I was a little perturbed about that.
- 42:37But when you had made the plans, you were excited to go to dinner with him.
- 42:41And what I'm saying is typically if I make plans on Thursday, you're moaning and groaning to me about it because it's just me.
- 42:48But that was Maverick and you were excited.
- 42:51Oh, is that the way you took it?
- 42:52Yes, that is exactly how it is.
- 42:54That's why I wrote it down.
- 42:55Okay.
- 42:56Anyway, I just wanted to bring that up.
- 42:57Okay, well, there you go.
- 42:59Slap me back one.
- 43:00Good job.
- 43:01You nailed me.
- 43:02You got it.
- 43:03You got it.
- 43:04But I like when you go out to dinner with your friends.
- 43:07I do like that.
- 43:08I mean, we had some, I won't tell his stories, but we had some good stories to exchange.
- 43:14Yes.
- 43:15Yeah.
- 43:15And he's a good guy.
- 43:18Yeah.
- 43:18I really like him.
- 43:19I do too.
- 43:20He's a good guy and he's fun.
- 43:21Yes.
- 43:22And he helped Dame Annette with some stuff.
- 43:25Yeah.
- 43:26No, it's just good.
- 43:26It's good to have super talented people in our friend circle.
- 43:34There's nothing like sitting in a sushi restaurant, texting the lieutenant of the Gillespie County Sheriff Department saying,
- 43:43Hey man, is the road clear? Can I drive back that way?
- 43:47And getting a text back. Yeah, no problem. It's all cool. You know, we got to have dinner sometime.
- 43:52That's what you said. It's good for us to know him. I mean, we love Mike anyway.
- 43:55Mike, we've known Mike since we...
- 43:56He was one of the first people we met here in Fredericksburg.
- 43:59I was going to say we met him right when we moved into this house.
- 44:01He helped us with a lot of things.
- 44:03And that's when he told us all his cool cop stories.
- 44:05That's what you're like.
- 44:05We have to have dinner because we need more cool cop stories.
- 44:09He has the best.
- 44:11So you want to talk about what you're doing for the church?
- 44:16What am I doing?
- 44:17The briefing?
- 44:18Oh, the cultural briefing?
- 44:19Yes.
- 44:20Oh, yeah.
- 44:21This is actually quite fun.
- 44:23And Pastor Jimmy asked me two weeks ago, he said, hey, because I was talking about Iran, because we're always texting and talking about stuff.
- 44:31And he said, hey, can you write me like a little boots on the ground type thing?
- 44:35Yeah, sure.
- 44:37And so I wrote a little bit and I kind of enjoyed it.
- 44:41I'm not a writer at all.
- 44:43So I wrote like three stories and then he delivered them in the cultural briefing during, you know, before he started the sermon.
- 44:51I was like, wow.
- 44:51And they said, well, would you do another one?
- 44:54And so I did another one.
- 44:55And I'm like, I really, it's short.
- 44:58You know, it's kind of bullet point.
- 45:00It's going to be shorter still.
- 45:02And I'm like, I'm really liking this.
- 45:04And they said, well, would you mind writing this every week?
- 45:08I said, hold on.
- 45:10I said babe would you edit these for brevity and grammar Yeah of course So we writing it not you No that what I told him right away I said Pastor Jimmy he said Tina agreed to edit it for brevity
- 45:22And so, yeah, I'm very excited about it.
- 45:23And then, you know, after he's done it,
- 45:25I want to put it on, I put it on a sub stack.
- 45:28So maybe other churches can benefit from it.
- 45:30Yes, I think it's good.
- 45:31And I think it's good.
- 45:32And I told you what to do with the sub stack.
- 45:34You could just repurpose it and put it out there.
- 45:36Yeah, and I got the sub stack app
- 45:39against all of my uh uh everything i stand for and it's amazing the first person who read and
- 45:46liked my cultural briefing that i repurposed on stuff was rob kirkpatrick i know focus on the
- 45:52family holy crap people are reading this okay yeah because you posted it on x right no oh you didn't
- 46:00no no how did he get to it then i don't know it's the magic you should post it on x no i'm gonna
- 46:06Keep it on Substack.
- 46:07No, but you post the link.
- 46:09I hate X.
- 46:10Okay.
- 46:11X is this.
- 46:12Well, how are you going to draw people to it then?
- 46:15Well, clearly, people are already drawn to it.
- 46:18I don't know what it is.
- 46:19I'm seeing like 15 people a day subscribing to my Substack.
- 46:22Are you serious?
- 46:23Yes.
- 46:24I had no idea.
- 46:25And you're not even promoting it?
- 46:27No.
- 46:27No.
- 46:28I was going to like, maybe I'll send it to someone, let them know that it's there.
- 46:32No.
- 46:32I go like, subscribe, subscribe, subscribe.
- 46:35Why wouldn't you put it on X?
- 46:37Then it'll draw more people to, we get to do this.
- 46:40Yeah.
- 46:41Yeah.
- 46:41Yeah.
- 46:41Yeah.
- 46:42Okay.
- 46:42And I can do, I can just do a piece of art for you that is, you can use over and over
- 46:46and over again.
- 46:47Cause it's nice to have an image.
- 46:48You're going to do some art for me now?
- 46:50Yeah.
- 46:50Wow.
- 46:51Thank you.
- 46:52I was so mean to you today.
- 46:53Well, then you should do lots of art for me.
- 46:56Make up for that.
- 46:57Cause I was mean to you when you were sick.
- 47:00No, you're not mean.
- 47:02I just, I can just tell that you despise it.
- 47:05you just don't like it when I'm not,
- 47:07when I'm not feeling.
- 47:08No,
- 47:08I don't.
- 47:09I worry.
- 47:09I get it.
- 47:10I get it.
- 47:10I get it.
- 47:11But it's because I am constant.
- 47:14I know.
- 47:15You are.
- 47:15I know I am.
- 47:16You're constant.
- 47:17Exactly.
- 47:17I know I'm constant.
- 47:19Yes.
- 47:19Yeah.
- 47:19Yeah.
- 47:20Okay.
- 47:21All right.
- 47:21You're doing the God shots.
- 47:22Oh,
- 47:23yes,
- 47:23I am.
- 47:24Yeah.
- 47:24So on top of all this,
- 47:26he's like,
- 47:26Hey,
- 47:27you're doing the God shot.
- 47:29Sure,
- 47:29babe.
- 47:30Without hesitation.
- 47:32It's time for Adam's God shot.
- 47:35so this has um has a lot to do with situations in my life this particular um proverb yes that i'm
- 47:50going to read a little bit from today and has partially to do with uh social media when people
- 47:58say things and how if you respond which I'm kind of over but really there were some situations in
- 48:06my life um with people who I respect and and I disagreed with and I wanted to I really I really
- 48:15had to think about how do I handle this what what is wisdom in how I deal with because I get a lot
- 48:21of people who are um particularly uh no agenda listeners who are very and people who i know
- 48:30and they're very um rude like black pill no like everything sucks it's nothing's gonna change
- 48:40it's you know which to me is mocking like uh whatever it's all it's all no good it's all of
- 48:48the same nothing ever changes nothing ever happens and i'm just not like that but not at all
- 48:55particularly when people i know whether i know them like really personally or i've known them for
- 49:01years of interaction and it bothers me um and you know it's not my place to change people per se but
- 49:10this helped me just reading this proverbs 9 uh 7 to 9 and this was kind of like a warning anyone
- 49:17who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. And boy, is that true. There's another
- 49:26problem. Anyone who rebukes a mocker. Yeah. So if I say, hey, you know, stop it or whatever,
- 49:31all you're going to do is get an insult in return. There's another proverb that says,
- 49:34don't try to converse with fools for you will become a fool yourself. But even if you say,
- 49:39I'm going to pray for you. Oh, that's even worse. Okay. Anyone who corrects the wicked
- 49:44will get hurt.
- 49:46So that's kind of telling me
- 49:48I should just let that go.
- 49:50So don't bother correcting mockers.
- 49:53They will only hate you.
- 49:54Well, I don't want people to hate me.
- 49:56So do as you must.
- 49:59But correct the wise
- 50:01and they will love you.
- 50:04Instruct the wise
- 50:05and they will be even wiser.
- 50:07Teach the righteous
- 50:08and they will learn even more.
- 50:10I've had a few people
- 50:11who I respect who are smart and wise,
- 50:14who I corrected and it really was beautiful.
- 50:18Well, that's because that relationship is built on respect, right?
- 50:23Yeah.
- 50:24You think the mockers, people that you...
- 50:26No.
- 50:27Is that a relationship that's built on respect?
- 50:29Some of them.
- 50:30Yeah?
- 50:31Some of them, yeah.
- 50:32But just when people get into mocking, you should just let it go.
- 50:36And this is also in a way about social media in general,
- 50:41not that I'm a big responder to stuff,
- 50:43but when people just mock them if you respond to that it's just it's not going to do anything
- 50:49it's only going to get worse they're going to hate you you only get insults in return
- 50:54and so this to me this was i wrote this down today before you even asked me for the god shot
- 50:59and i'm like you know this is a good rule to live by if people are mocking and saying stuff
- 51:06particularly on social media no need to respond because you you will guarantee here it is it's
- 51:13written get insults in return yes yes if you're trying to correct someone who's saying something
- 51:19horrible it's not worth it yeah it's the they will only hate you and i just felt like this was
- 51:28i hope this is okay for the god shot yeah it's perfect babe this is good job because this good
- 51:33A plus.
- 51:34Good job.
- 51:34A plus plus.
- 51:36It just, the more I read the Bible, and thank you, by the way, for my Pray for America Bible,
- 51:44and also Christina's devotional book that she gave me, that's magnificent.
- 51:52And it's just, especially the Pray for America Bible is so good because you're reading three different,
- 52:01you know, it's like Old Testament, Gospels, Psalm, Proverbs.
- 52:07And they start off with, you know, praying.
- 52:09Old Testament, New Testament?
- 52:11Old Testament, Gospels, typically.
- 52:13Gospel, okay.
- 52:13A Psalm and a Proverb.
- 52:17And it's big, big pieces.
- 52:19It's not like a little blap, blap, blap, blap.
- 52:21Not like you version, which I also look at still.
- 52:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:24But it's really helping me to pray for our country, pray for all our representatives.
- 52:36And I won't call them leaders as some people do.
- 52:38It's elected representatives.
- 52:41And it makes me feel really good.
- 52:43What a great gift that was.
- 52:45Thank you so much for that.
- 52:46You're so welcome.
- 52:46And for my saved hoodie.
- 52:49That was for your birthday.
- 52:50Yeah.
- 52:51Well, it feels like I just got it for you.
- 52:53Okay.
- 52:53Well, I've started the Bible recap again, and I've been reading.
- 52:59Which is where the original Godshot comes from.
- 53:01Exactly, yeah.
- 53:02What's the name?
- 53:03Terri Cobble.
- 53:05And it's hitting so differently the second time around.
- 53:10So I've read the New Testament twice, and I've read the Bible, the whole Bible once.
- 53:16But the second time, I'm learning even more, which is amazing.
- 53:21oh i'm really enjoying it i don't think that stops yes yeah no i know i'm very hungry for it
- 53:27i really enjoy it because pastor jimmy was talking about um joseph tonight yes kind of
- 53:33just offhanded and i've been reading uh genesis yes i've been reading about that whole story and
- 53:40i'm like wow this is this is i'm in the beginning of genesis we're not quite to joseph yet but we
- 53:45I studied Joseph in one of the Bible studies I went to.
- 53:49This was about a year and a half ago.
- 53:51So it's nice to know the stories, but I'm learning more of the layers.
- 53:57Anyway, good cut shot, babe.
- 53:59Well, thank you very much.
- 53:59Thank you for doing it.
- 54:00I appreciate it.
- 54:00No, it's my pleasure.
- 54:01Now it's time to hear from the Corksokers.
- 54:06Let's talk to those Corksokers out there.
- 54:09We got to hear from those Corksokers now.
- 54:13Oh, what did you say there?
- 54:15What do you say?
- 54:17Now it's time to hear from the Coke Sockers.
- 54:22Yes, we are value for value.
- 54:24We love it when you send us some blessings,
- 54:26either through the modern podcast apps or through our PayPal
- 54:29or even through Stripe, which works in the Fountain app.
- 54:34And we did get a few donations for this week.
- 54:37Now, $33 from ATC Consulting.
- 54:43ATC.
- 54:43This does not ring a bell.
- 54:45ATC.
- 54:47ATC.

- 57:37You get your revenge.
- 57:40That's right. Here's where Tina has a question. She already knows your answer, of course, so it puts me on the spot.
- 57:48Here we go. Question of the week.
- 57:50Okay. This is contrary to what this whole show is about, me being the worst wife in the world.
- 57:55You're not. You are the best wife ever.
- 57:58All right. Here we go. What is the most attractive thing I do without realizing it?
- 58:03to me when you are in the zone working on anything related to marketing writing
- 58:18which kind of goes hand in hand that is incredibly attractive to see you in your zone at your
- 58:27profession, what you are at the top, have always been at the top of your game, how we met, that is
- 58:33super attractive. And you know, this is coming right from the heart because I didn't do my typical
- 58:38when I see you just boom, doing, doing your thing, which is unique to you. You are very good at it.
- 58:50Oh, thank you. The first time we met, I said, where were you when I was hiring people for this?
- 58:55So yes, that is very attractive.
- 58:59Oh, thank you.
- 59:00That's very sweet.
- 59:01Mine is very similar.
- 59:04And I've said this to you before, when I see you in your element, when I see you creating, you're such a visionary.
- 59:11I see you bringing it to fruition.
- 59:13I mean, I see all of it.
- 59:15I see you roll it out.
- 59:17I see your excitement.
- 59:18When you're in your element, it's the same thing.
- 59:20It's very, very attractive.
- 59:22Yeah, absolutely.
- 59:23You want to see me do some more creating?
- 59:25some stuff. Let me see your brain, baby.
- 59:30Hey, man.
