- 0:15SPEAKER_00: So take a moment, quiet your heart, and open your spirit.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Let's get into the Word of God together.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: This is Ian Green, and this is today's message.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Grace for the Humble.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Today's key scripture comes from James 4.6.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: There are some things in life that God will not bless.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Not because he doesn't love us, not because he doesn't have a purpose for us, but because there are things in our hearts that can prevent us from receiving what he wants to give us.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And one of those things is pride.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: The Bible says God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Think about that.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: God gives grace to the humble but he resists the proud.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: That means pride doesn't just affect how people see you, pride affects how God deals with you.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: And humility doesn't mean thinking less of yourself.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Humility means understanding that without God you are nothing, and with God you can become everything He has called you to be.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: See, pride will take you where grace cannot keep you.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 16:18 says, Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Notice the language, pride goes before destruction.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: The fall doesn't usually come first, the pride comes first.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: The elevation of self comes first.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: The independence from God comes first.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: The attitude of I know better.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: I don't need anybody, I don't need correction.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Nobody can tell me anything, I've got this.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And eventually we discover that what we thought was strength was actually self-reliance.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Pride can make you resist the very correction that was sent to save you.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Pride can make you reject the person God sent to help you.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Pride can make you defend something God is trying to remove.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Pride can make you hold on to something God is asking you to surrender.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And the most dangerous thing about pride is that you could be proud and not know you're proud.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Because pride doesn't always look like arrogance.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Sometimes pride looks like I don't need forgiveness, I don't need to apologize, I won't admit I was wrong, I'm not going back there.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: They don't deserve my forgiveness.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Sometimes pride sounds religious.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: I know the Bible, I've been saved for years, I know God, but knowledge without humility can become spiritual arrogance.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: See, pride costs more than you think.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Look at Lucifer.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Isaiah 14 describes the heart of the one who said, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne, and I will be like the Most High.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: The language is I will, I will, I will.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Pride always wants the throne, and that's the problem.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: There is only one throne in your heart, and if self sits there, God doesn't.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Pride says, My will.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Humility says, your will.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Pride says, look at me.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Humility says, look at him.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Pride says, I deserve recognition.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Humility says, God gets the glory.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: And this is why humility is so powerful.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Because humility puts God back where he belongs, at the center.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: See, God doesn't just give grace, he gives more grace.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: James 4 6 says, He giveth more grace.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Because some of us don't need more talent, we don't need another opportunity, we don't need another connection, we don't need another platform, we need more grace.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Grace to endure, grace to forgive, grace to love, grace to obey, grace to keep going, grace to withstand opposition, grace to remain faithful when nobody is applauding, grace to walk away from what God says walk away from, grace to say no when your flesh says yes, grace to humble yourself when everything inside you wants to defend yourself.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: And God says, I give more grace, but to whom?
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: The humble.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Humility attracts the grace of God.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Grace is God's undeserved favor and empowering presence.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Grace is God saying, You couldn't do this by yourself, but I'm going to help you.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And there are some battles you will never win through strength alone.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: You need grace.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: There are some doors you cannot force open.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: You need grace.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: There are some people you cannot love naturally.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: You need grace.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: There are some situations you cannot survive without God's sustaining power.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: You need grace.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: And God says, humble yourself before me and I will give you grace.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: 1 Peter 5 5 says, God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: And then verse 6 says, Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exhort you in due time.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Notice something important.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: It doesn't say exhort yourself, it says humble yourself.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Because when you humble yourself, you don't have to fight for elevation.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: God knows how to lift you.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Humility doesn't mean you will never rise.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Some people think humility means staying at the bottom, but no, humility doesn't prevent elevation.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Humility prepares you for elevation.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Jesus said in Matthew 23:12, Whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: God can lift a humble person without destroying them with the elevation.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Because humility teaches you, this platform isn't mine, this ministry isn't mine, this gift isn't mine, this success isn't mine, this testimony isn't mine, it belongs to God.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: And when you understand that, God can trust you with more.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Let's look at Jesus.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: If you want to understand humility, don't just study humility, look at Jesus.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Philippians 2, verse 5 to 8 says that Christ made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant, and then he humbled himself, became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Jesus had every right to glory, he had every right to honor, he had every right to the throne, but he chose the cross, he chose obedience, he chose servanthood, he chose humility, and look what happened next.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Philippians 2 9 says, Wherefore God also have highly exalted him.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: There it is.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: Humility came before exaltation, the cross came before the crown, the suffering came before the glory, the surrender came before the elevation.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: And somebody needs to understand this.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: You don't have to promote yourself when God has purposed to exalt you.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: A humble spirit is so precious to God.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Isaiah 66 2 says, But to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Do you see what gets God's attention?
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Not arrogance, not self-promotion, not reputation, not popularity, a contrite heart, a humble spirit.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: Someone who says, Lord, search me, Lord correct me, Lord change me, Lord forgive me, Lord, I don't want my way, I want your way.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: That heart is precious to God.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: See, humility makes room for God to lead you.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 3 verse 5 to 7 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: And be not wise in your own eyes, but fear the Lord and depart from evil.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: One of the greatest expressions of humility is saying, God, I don't know everything.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: God, I don't understand everything.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: God, I can't see what you see.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: But God, I trust you anyway.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: That's humility.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Because pride says, I need to understand before I obey, but faith says I will obey even when I don't understand.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: Humility brings wisdom.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 11 2 says, When pride comes, then comes shame.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: But with the lowly is wisdom.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: There is wisdom in humility.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: A humble person can listen.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: A humble person can learn.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: A humble person can receive correction.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: A humble person can say, I was wrong.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: And there is an incredible freedom in those three words.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: I was wrong.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: You don't become smaller by admitting you're wrong.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: You become wiser because the person who refuses correction will repeat the same mistake until the mistake becomes a lifestyle.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: But the humble person says, Lord, teach me.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: God can teach somebody who is willing to listen.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Humility changes the people around you.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: This is where humility becomes bigger than you.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: Because your humility doesn't just affect you, it affects your marriage, it affects your children, it affects your church, it affects your friendships, it affects your workplace, it affects your ministry, it affects everybody connected to you.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Imagine a husband who can say, I'm sorry.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: Imagine a wife who can say it's wrong.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Imagine a father who can say, Forgive me.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Imagine a pastor who can say, I don't know, let's pray about it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Imagine a leader who can say, Tell me what you see.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: That's strength.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Because humility creates an atmosphere where people can breathe.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: Pride makes people afraid to speak.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Humility makes room for truth.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Pride says, You better not challenge me.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: But humility says, help me become better.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: And when God gives grace to a humble person, everybody around them can experience the benefit of that grace.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: So walk humbly with your God.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: Micah 6 8 says, What does the Lord require of thee?
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: But to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Not just walk with God, walk humbly with God.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: That means every day you are saying, Lord, you are God and I am not.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Your word is higher than my feelings.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Your wisdom is greater than mine.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Your plans are better than mine.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Your correction is good for me.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Your timing is better than mine.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: That's humility.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: And sometimes humility means waiting.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Sometimes humility means serving.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Sometimes humility means being silent.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Sometimes humility means forgiving.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Sometimes humility means walking away.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Sometimes humility means staying.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And sometimes humility means letting somebody else receive the credit.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: And sometimes humility means doing what God told you to do even when nobody notices.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Because humility isn't concerned with being seen by people, humility is concerned with being pleasing to God.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: So the danger of touching God's glory.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Herod is a sobering example.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Acts 12 tells us that Herod gave a speech, and the people cried out, It is the voice of a God and not of a man.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: And Herod accepted the praise.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: And Scripture says, Immediately the angel of the Lord smote him.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: The Bible says he was eaten by worms and died.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: That's serious.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: Because God will not share his glory with pride.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: And Isaiah 42 8 says, I am the Lord, that is my name, and my glory will I not give to another.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: So we must be careful.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: When people praise you, give God the glory.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: When people celebrate you, give God the glory.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: When God uses you, give God the glory.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: When the song succeeds, give God the glory.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: When the sermon touches people, give God the glory.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: When the ministry goes, give God the glory.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: When the door opens, give God the glory.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Because the moment you start believing I did this, you have forgotten.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: God gave me the ability to do it.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: So humility before God brings security.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: Psalms 25:9 says, The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: What a promise! God guides the humble, God teaches the humble, God leads the humble.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: And sometimes we are asking God, Lord, show me your will.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: But God is asking, are you willing to submit to my will?
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: Because God doesn't have a problem revealing his direction.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: Sometimes our problem is that we've already decided where we want to go.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: But humility says, Lord, wherever you lead me, I'll go.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: So here's the blessing of humility.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Let's look at what Scripture says God does for the humble.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: The humble receive grace, James 4 6.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: The humble receive exhortation in God's timing.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: 1 Peter 5 6.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: The humble receives wisdom, Proverbs 11 12.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: The humble receive guidance, Psalms 25 9, the humble receive God's attention, Isaiah 66 2.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: The humble receive God's favor.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Proverbs 3 34 says, Surely he scorns scorners, but he gives grace unto the lowly.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: The humble are positioned to receive God's instruction, correction, favor, guidance, and grace.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: And here's the beautiful thing.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: When God blesses a humble person, the blessing doesn't have to destroy them because humility keeps them anchored.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: The grace you receive can flow through you.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: God doesn't give grace to you simply so you can hold it.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Grace is meant to flow.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: When God gives you grace to forgive, your family benefits.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: When God gives you grace to endure, your children see perseverance.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: When God gives you grace to overcome, your testimony gives somebody else hope.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: When God gives you grace to remain faithful, someone watching your life learns what faithfulness looks like.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: When God gives you grace to love your enemies, somebody sees Christ.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: When God gives you grace to humble yourself, somebody else learns how to walk humbly.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: That's why humility matters, because God can make your life a channel of His grace.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Jesus said, Learn of me.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: In Matthew 11, 29, it says, Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Jesus didn't say learn how powerful I am.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: He said, Learn of me.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And one of the things he wants us to learn is meekness, lowliness of heart, servanthood, humility.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Because the world teaches climb over people.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: Jesus teaches serve people.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: The world says make them respect you.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Jesus says, let your character speak.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: The world says promote yourself.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Jesus says humble yourself.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: The world says get even.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Jesus says forgive.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: The world says protect your reputation.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: But Jesus says, follow me.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: There is grace for the humble.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've made mistakes.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've fallen.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've been proud.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've resisted correction.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've allowed your ego to get in the way.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've hurt people because you wouldn't humble yourself.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've walked away from God's instruction because you thought you knew better.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: But here's the good news: there is grace for the humble.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: You don't have to remain where you are.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: You can repent.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: You can turn around.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: You can say, Lord, forgive me.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Lord, change me.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Break pride out of me.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Lord, give me a clean heart.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Lord, give me a right spirit.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: David prayed in Psalms 51, creating me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: That's humility.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Not pretending, not hiding, not making excuses.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Just coming before God and saying, Lord, it's me, change me.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Don't wait for God to humble you.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: This is where the urgency comes in.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: There are two ways to become humble.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: You can humble yourself, or you can wait until circumstances humble you.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: Peter says, humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Don't wait until you lose something before you appreciate it.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Don't wait until relationships break before you learn to apologize.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Don't wait until the ministry collapses before you realize you were building it around yourself.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Don't wait until the door closes before you recognize you were trying to force it open.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: Don't wait for God to bring you low.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Choose to bow low because there is safety in surrender.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: See, the cross is the ultimate picture of humility.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: The cross shows us something powerful.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: Jesus humbled himself, he became obedient, he surrendered, he suffered and he died.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: But death wasn't the end.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Resurrection came, and after resurrection came exaltation.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: That's the pattern.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Humility before exaltation, surrender before victory, the cross before the crown.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: So don't despise the season where God is teaching you humility.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Maybe God isn't withholding the blessing, maybe he's preparing you to carry it.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Maybe the reason God is dealing with your character before your platform is because he loves you too much to give you an elevation that your character cannot sustain.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: A humble person is dangerous to the kingdom of darkness.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Because pride can be manipulated, but humility is surrendered to God.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: A humble person doesn't need to win every argument, they don't need to have the last word.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: They don't need everybody to agree with them.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: They don't need applause.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: They don't need recognition.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: They don't need revenge.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: They can simply say, God knows and keep walking.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: That's powerful.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: When people misunderstand you, stay humble.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: When people criticize you, stay humble.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: When people reject you, stay humble.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: When God promotes you, stay humble.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: When God blesses you, stay humble.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: When nobody notices you, stay humble.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: And when you are celebrated, stay humble.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: When you're being opposed, stay humble.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Because your confidence isn't in people's opinions, your confidence is in God.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: So in conclusion, bow before you break.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: James gives us the answer.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Submit yourselves therefore to God.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Then resist the devil and he will flee from you.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Then draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: And finally, humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: There is the promise.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Humble yourself and he will lift you up.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: You don't have to lift yourself.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: You don't have to manipulate people.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: You don't have to chase recognition.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: You don't have to force doors.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: You don't have to defend yourself against everybody.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: God knows how to lift his children.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: So today let's put pride down.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: Put the ego down.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Put the need to be right down.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: Put the need to be recognized down.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Put the bitterness down.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: Put the unforgiveness down.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: Put self-reliance down.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And lift your hands and say, Lord, I surrender.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Lord, I need you.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Lord lead me.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Lord correct me.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: Lord teach me.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: Lord, break everything in me that stands against your will.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Because there is a grace that God gives to the humble.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: And I don't want to spend my life fighting against the God who is trying to bless me.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: I want to come underneath his mighty hand.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: I want to walk humbly with my God.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: I want a broken and contrite heart.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: I want a spirit that trembles at his word.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: I want to be teachable.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: I want to be correctable.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: I want to be usable and I want to be faithful.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: And when God raises me up, I want to remember who raised me.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: When God opens the door, I want to remember who opened it.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: When God gives me the platform, I want to remember who gave me the gift.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: And when God blesses my family, I want to remember where the blessing came from.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: When God uses my life to teach somebody else, I want to say, to God be the glory.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Because I'd rather be humble in God's hands than impressive in the eyes of men.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: I'd rather have God's grace than man's applause.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: I'd rather have God's presence than people's approval.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: I'd rather walk with God in humility than walk alone in pride.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: So humble yourself.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Come back to God.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Bow your heart before Him.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Because the promise is still true.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: And if you will humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, He will lift you up.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Not when you demand it, not when you manipulate it, not when you promote yourself, but in His time.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: And when He lifts you, you'll know it was grace.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Grace for the humble.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Amen.
