- 0:21Edison successfully tested a practical incandescent
- 0:25light bulb that glowed steadily using a carbon
- 0:28filament and improved vacuum conditions. This
- 0:32achievement marked a major milestone in electric
- 0:34illumination, inspiring broad development of
- 0:38electric lighting systems and practical applications
- 0:41that transformed homes and industry. So now you
- 0:45know. And now, it's time for the weather report.
- 0:52This morning it's mostly sunny and it feels like
- 0:5646 degrees with 12 mile per hour wind. The sunset
- 1:01will take place at 550 and it will rise again
- 1:04tomorrow at 705. It looks like grin for a sunny
- 1:09Tuesday with a high near 65 and a breezy southwest
- 1:12wind at 8 to 12 mile per hour, gusting up to
- 1:1624 mile per hour. Tonight. Expect cloudy skies

- 1:25around 53, and a light south wind. For all you
- 1:29beach runners out there, the first high tide
- 1:31Tuesday will be at 11 .45, with the low tide
- 1:35at 6. The nearshore buoy at Cape Cod Bay reads

- 2:49Sunny mornings send you. In local news, this
- 2:54has Saturday on Boston Common, thousands gathered
- 2:58for the No Kings protest, a massive peaceful
- 3:01demonstration. Drone and helicopter footage captured
- 3:05the crowds, while local stations covered the
- 3:08event live with thousands of photos taken and
- 3:11shared. However, within hours, social media erupted
- 3:15with false claims that MSNBC had aired recycled
- 3:19footage from 2017. This misinformation spread
- 3:24rapidly, fueled by an AI tool called Croc, which
- 3:28mistakenly misidentified the protest. Although
- 3:32PBC Verify later confirmed the footage's authenticity,
- 3:36the swift spread of disinformation highlights
- 3:38our tendency to believe technology over reality.
- 3:42So, before sharing, consider were you there,
- 3:45or are you just trusting a machine? Now onto
- 3:53sports. The Toronto Blue Jays are heading to
- 3:57their first World Series since 1993, powered
- 4:01by George Springer's go -ahead three -run homer
- 4:04in Monday's 4 -3 victory over the Seattle Mariners
- 4:08in Game 7 of the American League Championship
- 4:11Series. World Series Game 1 will take place on
- 4:14Friday at 8 p .m. Eastern Time. Springer's 7
- 4:19-dinning blast set off a frenzied celebration
- 4:21at Rogers Center. Toronto now advances to face
- 4:25the Los Angeles Dodgers after overcoming a challenging
- 4:29series. And in football, the Lions remain competitive
- 4:33in the National Football League's toughest division,
- 4:36following a decisive victory over the Tampa Bay
- 4:39Buccaneers. Baker Mayfield struggled against
- 4:42Detroit, completing just 228 yards with an interception
- 4:47in a 24 -9 loss. With this win, the Lions improved
- 4:52their record to five wins and two losses, sitting
- 4:55in second place in the National Football Conference
- 4:58North Division, trailing the Green Bay Packers
- 5:00by mere percentage points. The Division has seen
- 5:04a remarkable 16 victories so far, with no team
- 5:07below a 500 record. Detroit's continuity and
- 5:12offensive strength make them a formidable contender
- 5:15this season. In local sports, the Celtic star
- 5:20Jalen Brown provided an update on his hamstring
- 5:24injury. Brown said he wasn't too concerned when
- 5:27the injury occurred. He practiced fully on Monday
- 5:31and stated he feels great after tweaking his
- 5:34hamstring during the preseason finale against
- 5:36the Raptors. When asked about playing in the
- 5:39regular season opener against the 76ers this
- 5:43coming Wednesday, Brown said, we'll see. His
- 5:47departure from the Toronto game seemed to be
- 5:49a precautionary measure. Brown appeared to be
- 5:53moving well after practice and mentioned he is
- 5:55taking it one day at a time. In top news, gone
- 6:01in seven minutes is how the Lou Heist unfolded.
- 6:06France's crown jewels are missing, stolen from
- 6:08the world's largest museum in a plot straight
- 6:11out of a film script. It took less than seven
- 6:14minutes to pull off one of the world's most spectacular
- 6:18heists. A gang of brazen burglars targeted the
- 6:22Louvre in broad daylight and fled with priceless
- 6:25jewels. The theft occurred shortly after the
- 6:28museum opened on the first weekend of the All
- 6:31Saints Day holiday. Alarms were triggered. but
- 6:34the thieves managed to steal eight items of priceless
- 6:37heritage value. Investigation efforts are underway,
- 6:42with about 60 investigators involved. The Minister
- 6:46of Culture stated that organized crime appears
- 6:49to be involved. In business news, Wall Street
- 6:54is starting to get a little defensive as utilities,
- 6:58health care stocks, and consumer staples lead
- 7:01the S &P 500 this month. These sectors tend to
- 7:05perform well regardless of economic conditions,
- 7:08with electricity, drugs, and groceries always
- 7:11in demand. However, investors are pulling back
- 7:15from more sensitive sectors, like regional banks
- 7:18and airlines, raising concerns about potential
- 7:20weaknesses. The recent market turbulence, fueled
- 7:24by trade war rhetoric, has investors worried,
- 7:27while major stock indexes remain close to record
- 7:30highs. Analysts expect strong corporate earnings
- 7:34growth, but caution that a sluggish labor market
- 7:37may impact consumer spending. In crypto movement,
- 7:42Bitcoin is down 3 % to $108 ,000. Ethereum is
- 7:48down 4 % to just under $3 ,900. And HexRP is
- 7:54down 1 % to $2 .43. Moving on to a more local
- 8:01vibe. In our community spotlight on health and

- 8:47Let's talk tech. Your browser sends a lot of
- 8:50information with each website you visit, which
- 8:53can be used to track you across the internet.
- 8:56You are constantly leaving your fingerprint all
- 8:59over the internet with personal information you
- 9:01share voluntarily and involuntarily. Most targeted
- 9:06advertising uses fingerprinting instead of cookies,
- 9:09allowing advertisers to track your behavior online
- 9:12without needing unique identifiers. There are
- 9:16no laws banning browser fingerprinting, but companies
- 9:19must comply with privacy regulations if they
- 9:22create unique identifiers. To enhance privacy,
- 9:26consider using browsers like Brave or Firefox,
- 9:30which offer fingerprinting protections. And in
- 9:35entertainment news, many of this year's busiest
- 9:39films are struggling to profit at the box office.
- 9:43For instance, The Smashing Machine experienced
- 9:45a 70 % decline in its second weekend, generating
- 9:49$18 .8 million. Similarly, Roof Men debuted with
- 9:55only $8 million. Box office analyst Sean Robbins
- 10:00notes that these prestige -type films have not
- 10:03created enough excitement. Warner Bros. spent
- 10:07over $130 million on one battle after another,
- 10:12which is projected to lose $100 million. Despite
- 10:17the challenges, Analyst Hope Studios will continue
- 10:20producing varied films to boost attendance. Well,
- 10:25alrighty folks, it's time for the quote of the
- 10:28day. And today, our quote comes from the American
- 10:32author and philosopher, Will Durant. And he said,
- 10:38And that's a wrap for this morning. You can check
