- 0:10March 21st. Truth over tricks It is amazing
- 0:13how easy it can be to. Justify a small lie.
- 0:15Sometimes it feels harmless, sometimes it feels necessary.
- 0:19Sometimes it even feels smart. A shortcut in a conversation.
- 0:24A hidden. Detail and.
- 0:25Exaggerated Story A. Version of events that makes us
- 0:28look. Better or keeps us out of
- 0:30trouble. In the moment, tricks can seem
- 0:32easier than truth. But what?
- 0:35Feels easy for a moment. Can create.
- 0:36Trouble that. Lasts much longer.
- 0:39Proverbs chapter 12 verses. 21 to 22 says no harm befalls.
- 0:44The righteous but the wicked are filled with trouble.
- 0:47Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord.
- 0:50But those who act faithfully are his delight.
- 0:53That is strong language, and it reminds us how.
- 0:55Deeply God cares about truth. Truth.
- 0:59Matters to Him because he is truthful.
- 1:01Faithfulness matters to Him because he is faithful.
- 1:04When we choose honesty, we are not just following a rule.
- 1:08We are reflecting the character of God.
- 1:11Then Judges chapter 2 verse. 11 says and the.
- 1:14People of Israel did. What was evil in the sight of
- 1:17the? Lord.
- 1:18And served the Bales and the Ashtaroth.
- 1:20That verse shows how. Quickly, hearts can drift when
- 1:23people stop staying faithful. To God.
- 1:26The people did not fall apart all at once.
- 1:29It happened through choices, compromise and repeated
- 1:32disobedience. One wrong turn led to another,
- 1:35and soon they were trapped in cycles of regret and trouble.
- 1:39That still happens today. One dishonest choice can lead to
- 1:42another. 1 hidden thing can become a pattern.
- 1:46One compromise can turn into a cycle.
- 1:48That feels hard to break, but the opposite is true.
- 1:51Too 1 truthful choice can begin healing.
- 1:54One honest confession can restore peace.
- 1:57One act of faithfulness can rebuild.
- 1:59Trust God. Is not asking you to.
- 2:02Be clever. He is asking you to be true.
- 2:04Even when honesty cost you something, it protects something
- 2:07deeper in you. It protects your heart.
- 2:10It keeps your conscience tender. It helps you walk in peace.
- 2:14The world may reward tricks for a moment.
- 2:16But God. Delights in faithfulness and his
- 2:19way leads to. Stability.
- 2:21So today, choose truth. Over image choose honesty.
- 2:24Over escape. Choose faithfulness over
- 2:26shortcuts. The path may feel.
- 2:28Harder for a moment, but it leads somewhere better.
- 2:31Let's pray, Heavenly Father. Thank you for being true and
- 2:35faithful in every way. Help me resist the.
- 2:38Temptation to. Lie.
- 2:39Hide. Or take dishonest shortcuts.
- 2:42Give me courage to choose truth. Even when it.
- 2:44Feels difficult. Keep my heart close to you.
- 2:48And protect me from patterns of compromise that lead to.
- 2:50Trouble. Let my life be marked by
- 2:53faithfulness that delights you in Jesus name, Amen.

- 4:27World English Bible. No mischief shall happen.
- 4:30To the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil.
- 4:33Lying lips are an abomination to.
- 4:35Yahweh but those who do the truth are his delight.
- 4:38Judges chapter 2 World English Bible.
- 4:42Yahweh. 'S Angel came up from Gilgal to
- 4:44Botcham. He said I brought you out of.
- 4:46Egypt and have brought you to the land which I swore.
- 4:49To give your father's, I said. I will never break my covenant
- 4:52with you. You shall make no covenant with
- 4:54the inhabitants of this land. You shall break down their
- 4:57altars, but you have not listened to my voice.
- 5:00Why have you done this? Therefore I also said.
- 5:03I will not drive them out from before you, but they shall be in
- 5:06your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you when Yahweh's
- 5:10angels. Spoke these words to.
- 5:11All the children of Israel. The people lifted up their.
- 5:14Voice and wept. They called the name of that
- 5:16place Bochum, and they sacrificed.
- 5:18There to Yahweh. Now, when Joshua had sent the.
- 5:21People away. The children of Israel each went
- 5:24to his inheritance to possess the land.
- 5:26The people served Yahweh all the days of Joshua.
- 5:29And all. The days of the elders who
- 5:31outlived Joshua Who? Had seen all the.
- 5:33Great work of Yahweh that he had worked for Israel.
- 5:36Joshua, the son of Nun. The servant of Yahweh died.
- 5:39Being 110 years. Old they.
- 5:42Buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath.
- 5:44Here's in the Hill Country of Ephraim, on the north of the
- 5:47mountain of Gosh. After all.
- 5:49That generation. Were gathered to their.
- 5:51Fathers. Another generation arose after
- 5:54them who didn't know Yahweh. Nor the.
- 5:56Work which he had done for Israel, the children of Israel.
- 5:59Did that. Which was evil in Yahweh's sight
- 6:01and served the. Bales they abandoned Yahweh, the
- 6:04God of their fathers. Who brought them out of the land
- 6:06of Egypt and followed other? Gods of the Gods of the.
- 6:09Peoples who were around them and bowed themselves down to them
- 6:13and they provoked Yahweh to anger they.
- 6:15Abandoned Yahweh. And served Baal and the
- 6:17Ashtaroth. Yahweh's anger burned against
- 6:20Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of Raiders who
- 6:23plundered them. He sold them into the hands of
- 6:26their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand
- 6:29before their enemies. Wherever they went out, Yahweh's
- 6:32hand was against them for. Evil as Yahweh had.
- 6:35Spoken and as Yahweh had sworn to them, and they were very.
- 6:38Distressed, Yahweh raised up judges.
- 6:41Who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them, Yet
- 6:44they didn't listen to their judges.
- 6:46For they prostituted themselves to other.
- 6:48Gods and bowed themselves down to them.
- 6:51They quickly turned away from the way in which.
- 6:52Their fathers walked. Obeying Yahweh's commandments.
- 6:56They didn't do so. When Yahweh raised up judges for
- 6:59them. Then Yahweh was with the.
- 7:00Judge and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all.
- 7:03The days of the judge for it grieved Yahweh because.
- 7:06Of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and
- 7:09troubled them but when the. Judge was dead.
- 7:11They turned back and dealt more corruptly than their fathers in
- 7:15following other gods to serve them and to bow down to them.
- 7:18They didn't cease what? They were doing or give up their
- 7:21stubborn ways. Yahweh's anger burned against
- 7:23Israel, and he said, because this nation transgressed my
- 7:27covenant, which I commanded their fathers, and has not
- 7:30listened to my voice, I also will no longer drive out any of
- 7:34the. Nations that Joshua left.
- 7:35When he died from before them, that by them I may.
- 7:38Test Israel to see if they will keep Yahweh's way to.
- 7:41Walk therein. As their fathers.
- 7:42Kept it or not? So Yahweh left those.
- 7:45Nations without driving them out hastily, he didn't deliver them
- 7:49into Joshua's hand. Thanks for joining us on Bible.
