- 0:01Speaker 1: Mommy, I know.
- 0:16Speaker 2: All right, what's going on? Everybody? I am the one,
- 0:19Speaker 2: the only, the w o Okay, I e one misfit
- 0:23Speaker 2: short of a happy meal this week. But we do
- 0:25Speaker 2: have ogre.
- 0:27Speaker 3: How's it going?
- 0:28Speaker 2: We have the evil one Zach, every crime, we have
- 0:36Speaker 2: Dexter and his very lovely mother.
- 0:40Speaker 3: He everyone, and we have coal.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Eh.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Hello everybody, kids, remember to eat your wheaties, eat your
- 0:47Speaker 4: wheaties and tell your mom you love her tonight. I'm
- 0:51Speaker 4: just saying, and everybody tell Dexter's mom you love her.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That's true. She's a very lovely lady.
- 0:57Speaker 5: We love you, Dexter's mom, and we really hope you
- 0:59Speaker 5: enjoy the crock thought that your son got you lest
- 1:01Speaker 5: yet instead of going out and shopping for a good gift.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yeah, she needed a seventh that's what I heard. We're
- 1:07Speaker 2: not the story.
- 1:08Speaker 3: What kind of a should you gift? Are you going
- 1:10Speaker 3: to get her for Christmas? What we got to ask
- 1:14Speaker 3: the one that's true?
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16Speaker 3: What kind of rallies or what kind of a yeah
- 1:19Speaker 3: gift rallies? Have you you entered it lately?
- 1:22Speaker 6: That out?
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:23Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:23Speaker 6: I haven't entered in any but you know, something can
- 1:26Speaker 6: always happen.
- 1:27Speaker 3: That's right?
- 1:30Speaker 2: Are you are you gifting gift? Like? What what are
- 1:34Speaker 2: these rallies?
- 1:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:35Speaker 5: Well, one thing we have to keep in mind, like
- 1:37Speaker 5: we're giving them a hard time, right, But also, Dexter
- 1:41Speaker 5: is an eighteen year old in college. Yeah, and I'm
- 1:44Speaker 5: I'm thinking back to the time when I was eighteen
- 1:47Speaker 5: and in college and how poor I was. Yeah, and
- 1:53Speaker 5: I think I'm I think I'm ready to forgive him.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Nah, I'm not, No, no, not yet, maybe.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Later, Okay. Well, he has money to spend on altered.
- 2:02Speaker 3: He has money to spend out. His mom does because
- 2:04Speaker 3: he never spends it un altered either.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Instead of doing a faction break, he could have bought
- 2:09Speaker 2: his mom a nice sweater.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Well, he didn't do the faction break. He only spends
- 2:14Speaker 5: money on Keythorge.
- 2:15Speaker 3: That's gonna say. He flew He flew up to play
- 2:17Speaker 3: key Forge for Worlds.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, in that and it's a nice sweater yep.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Time to go over the Unique of the week because
- 2:27Speaker 2: he decides to not show up and then flaunt his
- 2:31Speaker 2: brand new unique in front of us. This is his unique, right.
- 2:34Speaker 3: It is open, just opened, and I was so excited
- 2:38Speaker 3: to talk.
- 2:38Speaker 2: About rash out the kitchen.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Huh yeah, of a gold god Teer pack that of
- 2:45Speaker 3: which I got fucking jack ship.
- 2:50Speaker 5: No you got a unique, Oh yeah, yours didn't know
- 2:52Speaker 5: his didn't come out of the god pack though.
- 2:55Speaker 2: How many cards are the pack? Fifteen?
- 2:58Speaker 6: Uh?
- 2:59Speaker 5: In a God practice ten uniques?
- 3:01Speaker 2: Ten and not one of those was Lyra.
- 3:04Speaker 3: No.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I feel like these either. I feel like I'm going
- 3:08Speaker 2: to the casino and just getting robbed every time.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I alle the luck came to me. I say, like
- 3:17Speaker 3: two weeks in a row, you've got. Two times in
- 3:20Speaker 3: a row you've gotten.
- 3:20Speaker 5: I will say most of the us, like across the
- 3:23Speaker 5: board that were open tonight were garbage, but there were
- 3:26Speaker 5: there were three. There were three good ones that I marked.
- 3:31Speaker 5: One was Cole's, one was C's, one was yours, Wookie,
- 3:34Speaker 5: and then there were two that I considered playable of
- 3:38Speaker 5: the good ones.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So my crummy robinhood is playable in my fen deck.
- 3:43Speaker 3: You think I think it's good in a fin deck.
- 3:46Speaker 4: I don't even think I can second abilities.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I only need two more uniques now to actually have something,
- 3:53Speaker 2: because every unique I've ever pulled either a isn't like
- 3:57Speaker 2: this will be my second literally second Liray unique. I
- 4:02Speaker 2: now own two.
- 4:04Speaker 4: I'll send you one of my skalds.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Oh, thanks, appreciate to look.
- 4:07Speaker 5: I don't even know if I have any. I have one.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I don't think they exist, but we'll come. We'll come
- 4:13Speaker 2: to that in a future segment. Let's go through the
- 4:17Speaker 2: Hatter real quick.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Okay, I'm excited about this one. I made us pivot.
- 4:23Speaker 5: We had a red picked out that Cold had supplied.
- 4:27Speaker 5: But I just think this Hatter is super dope. So
- 4:29Speaker 5: it is a five to five. Cost stats are zero
- 4:34Speaker 5: seven to four, which all of this pretty much what
- 4:37Speaker 5: you'd expect for a Hatter, like they usually always have
- 4:39Speaker 5: a zero stat I think their normal stats are zero
- 4:41Speaker 5: five to five, so this is upwards one point one
- 4:47Speaker 5: stat point compared to normal. But then the first ability
- 4:52Speaker 5: is if you control one or more landmarks. Mind you,
- 4:54Speaker 5: this is in Bravos. I don't know if we said
- 4:57Speaker 5: reduce my cost by one. So if you're in brav
- 5:00Speaker 5: you're probably running a haven because they're incredible. Maybe you're
- 5:07Speaker 5: running Boundary Kojo. You probably have the landmark. This isn't
- 5:13Speaker 5: a faction that's lacking them, so that makes this a
- 5:16Speaker 5: four to four. Quite often for zero seven to four
- 5:20Speaker 5: which is just good before we talk about anything else.
- 5:24Speaker 5: And then you have, oh he is four by normal
- 5:28Speaker 5: or for cost normal. Sorry, my crew just provided for
- 5:31Speaker 5: me what the like rare card looks like. So normally yeah,
- 5:36Speaker 5: four five five zero, So it's a stat shift and
- 5:39Speaker 5: we net a point for.
- 5:41Speaker 3: One cost I guess.
- 5:44Speaker 5: But anyways, the second ability is what blew my mind.
- 5:49Speaker 5: When a character you control gains one or more boosts,
- 5:54Speaker 5: draw a card in Bravos.
- 5:56Speaker 2: It seems pretty good.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Holy hell, like you're in a faction that an a character,
- 6:05Speaker 5: any character anywhere on your board, doesn't matter what expedition.
- 6:08Speaker 6: It's then two other little guys you're playing that are
- 6:10Speaker 6: getting Haven boosts, you're getting draws.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I had to go back. I was like, was it
- 6:15Speaker 2: is it any character any character control control? Oh yeah,
- 6:21Speaker 2: not any character. It might be busted, it'd be nuts.
- 6:25Speaker 5: So but even even without that, you pay this thing
- 6:28Speaker 5: you play at four. Yeah, you pay four for this thing.
- 6:32Speaker 5: And notably, if you're running Haven, whenever you play this
- 6:39Speaker 5: from reserve, it doesn't say other than me. So you'll
- 6:44Speaker 5: you'll get a draw off of just playing this card.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Because he'll hit the board, Haven'll give him a boost.
- 6:53Speaker 5: He'll see that trigger to draw card. So we're already
- 6:57Speaker 5: at four zero seven to four for haven trigger and
- 7:01Speaker 5: if you're in foundry you can do that both from
- 7:03Speaker 5: hand and from reserve. If you've ramped and you have
- 7:08Speaker 5: some more manuta to spend. After that, you can turn
- 7:11Speaker 5: cards like Physical Training into plus three boosts and draw
- 7:15Speaker 5: two cards for three, which is nuts. Any of the
- 7:21Speaker 5: like Chiron, like the Little Boost Suite all turn into
- 7:25Speaker 5: staple a draw onto them that turn, and this isn't
- 7:28Speaker 5: a faction that is starved for card draw So I
- 7:31Speaker 5: think this unique is nuts and we're not even to
- 7:34Speaker 5: the end of its end of its things yet. It
- 7:38Speaker 5: also has a quick action. It's the standard discard one
- 7:42Speaker 5: target character with hand cost three or less can gain
- 7:44Speaker 5: anchored So I'm probably never using that, but like, maybe
- 7:48Speaker 5: it wins somebody a game at some point when they
- 7:50Speaker 5: don't need to draw cards.
- 7:52Speaker 6: Yeah, so this is pretty similar to the Shin Long
- 7:54Speaker 6: that we discussed I think like four weeks ago, except
- 7:58Speaker 6: the Shin Long costs more and Shinlong just gets less
- 8:01Speaker 6: play so it's less useful, and it required the boost
- 8:05Speaker 6: to be on itself the draw card, and that was
- 8:07Speaker 6: still a great card. This one is when any character
- 8:10Speaker 6: gets a boost draw card. So that's a lot more
- 8:13Speaker 6: utility right there, especially since the other cards that could
- 8:16Speaker 6: be getting boosts have seasoned as well well.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I believe any card that says do a thing your
- 8:23Speaker 2: faction normally would do draw card is good in this game. Yeah,
- 8:27Speaker 2: it doesn't matter. It could read zero zero, zero, and
- 8:30Speaker 2: just the fact that it says do the thing your
- 8:32Speaker 2: faction wants to do draw card. That seems pretty good.
- 8:36Speaker 5: And one of the things I think is really neat
- 8:38Speaker 5: about this card is in most cases, when you get
- 8:41Speaker 5: a U for any pick a faction right, very seldom
- 8:46Speaker 5: is every U good for every hero in that faction.
- 8:51Speaker 5: I could make an argument for every hero out of problems.
- 8:55Speaker 2: The second ability says good.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah, for sure. But think about like we talked
- 9:02Speaker 5: about it before the cast, but if you play this
- 9:04Speaker 5: with Utsadi, you get the discount. So normally, like the
- 9:09Speaker 5: four or five rare Hatter, that rare four hand cost
- 9:13Speaker 5: means that you can't trigger the UTSADI draw with it.
- 9:16Speaker 5: But this one, being five to five with the discount
- 9:19Speaker 5: off of a haven means that you could play this
- 9:24Speaker 5: get a draw for Atsadi's trigger. If you're playing it
- 9:28Speaker 5: from reserve. You can then get the draw from playing
- 9:31Speaker 5: it with the haven and then carry on about your
- 9:34Speaker 5: business and you know, fill your hand.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Up and do all the things. I think it's just cool.
- 9:39Speaker 5: I think it's a really neat unique.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I f C does not like this. One just has
- 9:48Speaker 4: to borrow it, put it on the IOU.
- 9:50Speaker 5: She Yeah, he's a hard banda please, so we'll see.
- 9:54Speaker 2: He can report back next week. Perfection And I don't
- 9:58Speaker 2: know if that exists in.
- 9:59Speaker 5: This specifically in use, like you're playing against the algorithm lottery.
- 10:06Speaker 2: There's a handful of them out there that are like, wow,
- 10:09Speaker 2: chef's kiss, right, but like those are few and far between,
- 10:14Speaker 2: and they're in and they're all.
- 10:18Speaker 4: I saw some really good Muna ones in one of
- 10:21Speaker 4: the tournaments this week. It was basically someone just collected
- 10:25Speaker 4: uniques that just anchor, anchor, anchor, and it was very
- 10:30Speaker 4: good because it was all three of them had different
- 10:33Speaker 4: ways to anchor stuff. And then yeah, it's just unstoppable.
- 10:38Speaker 4: So we've seen a lot more people seeking out very
- 10:42Speaker 4: specific uniques to get three of them and then that's
- 10:47Speaker 4: the main staple of their deck.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Yeah, and I think you know it like anything else
- 10:53Speaker 5: as more cards are opened as people are out there
- 10:57Speaker 5: hunting and making trades and making purchases and sales and
- 10:59Speaker 5: everything else, Like we'll start to see more and more
- 11:02Speaker 5: of because it's an algorithm, right, Some cards are gonna suck,
- 11:05Speaker 5: some cards are gonna be really good, and it's going
- 11:07Speaker 5: to take a while for all the really good ones
- 11:09Speaker 5: to kind of circulate upwards where we'll see them, and probably,
- 11:15Speaker 5: like I don't know, some large percentage of all the
- 11:19Speaker 5: US that were generated we'll never lay eyes on because
- 11:23Speaker 5: it's it's casual players at the house with cards that
- 11:26Speaker 5: are secondary market.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Kid, that's like, this card's cool, and like you stuck
- 11:31Speaker 2: it in his bike spoke wheel, like to make the motorcycle.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Noise that never even scanned.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It never be scanned. It'll never see the light of day.
- 11:40Speaker 2: That's where they all are.
- 11:42Speaker 5: Yep, And that's that's unique of the week, really busted
- 11:48Speaker 5: in my opinion.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Had brought to you by Carl's. Oh wait, no we did.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Carls were brought to you by Burger King.
- 11:54Speaker 6: Yep.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Ah, okay, why are playing permanence? This is the thing
- 11:58Speaker 2: we're talking about this week?
- 12:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it is the metal line for this week
- 12:05Speaker 3: because I still have not. I played a game of
- 12:09Speaker 3: Trace and wasn't I wasn't feeling it too much. But
- 12:12Speaker 3: we'll see. But yeah, this week when and when not
- 12:16Speaker 3: to play to permaments. So one of the things you know,
- 12:19Speaker 3: with a lot of these decks, permanents are very big
- 12:22Speaker 3: with that very important. It really depends on the deck, right, Like,
- 12:27Speaker 3: so I started going through a lot of them, and
- 12:30Speaker 3: for instance, before the Robin Hood, nerve bautiful metal for
- 12:36Speaker 3: uh for bureaucrats, right, make a bureaucrat cheaper, one cheaper
- 12:40Speaker 3: on the turn two costs it. It's it's very just
- 12:46Speaker 3: like with any other decisions you're making in the game,
- 12:48Speaker 3: it's all about timing. And if you could get that
- 12:50Speaker 3: on your first turn and play another bureaucrat, that's great
- 12:53Speaker 3: because then it's going to be benefiting you for the
- 12:54Speaker 3: full rest of the turn. But I can tell you
- 12:57Speaker 3: in some of the games that I have played with Waru,
- 12:59Speaker 3: and I know this happens with other ones, that I
- 13:01Speaker 3: might try to hit some of those, but like with Waru,
- 13:03Speaker 3: I have maybe like if I see about a fa
- 13:05Speaker 3: meadow in my hand turn three, turn four, turn five,
- 13:11Speaker 3: it's likely not going to get played because at that point,
- 13:15Speaker 3: your opponent or yourself, you've already generating your turns. You've
- 13:18Speaker 3: already generated kind of like the path that you're going
- 13:20Speaker 3: to be following, and you by the tradeoff on playing
- 13:27Speaker 3: any permanent is that you are kind of taking a
- 13:30Speaker 3: turn off and with you know, with the ortis one,
- 13:33Speaker 3: that's a little bit cheaper. But if we go to
- 13:35Speaker 3: the other ortis one, the Bastion or even the carriers, right, Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 3: you're taking a turnoff to play those cards. So when
- 13:45Speaker 3: or when not to play these same thing with brass
- 13:47Speaker 3: bag hive right six costs, but it does it's going
- 13:50Speaker 3: to generate so much value for you as you're going further.
- 13:54Speaker 3: What are some of the other ones?
- 13:55Speaker 6: Uh?
- 13:55Speaker 3: Haven? Right? Haven's a pretty big one because it is
- 13:59Speaker 3: only two cause either yeah, yeah, I feel like that's
- 14:02Speaker 3: kind of like an always play because it is going
- 14:04Speaker 3: to it's not really taking a turnoff, but you are
- 14:07Speaker 3: benefiting yourself so much from then on out.
- 14:10Speaker 5: It kind of cheats too in that it gives you
- 14:12Speaker 5: an immediate benefit and then you can.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Resupply And I was gonna say that one immediately you
- 14:18Speaker 3: can see value out of right because you're you're resupply
- 14:21Speaker 3: and you're putting a card in reserve and then you
- 14:23Speaker 3: can immediately get that bonus. The same thing or that
- 14:25Speaker 3: that same turn same thing with meadow, right, if you're
- 14:28Speaker 3: going to be able to get that discount, technically you're
- 14:31Speaker 3: only paying the one for the meadow, but it's I
- 14:35Speaker 3: don't know, So the trade off is when to play
- 14:38Speaker 3: it when not? And it's really like I was thinking
- 14:42Speaker 3: about this today and before, it's really can you afford
- 14:46Speaker 3: to take that turn off to play one, to play
- 14:51Speaker 3: a card that's going to benefit you potentially the rest
- 14:53Speaker 3: of the game, unless, as happened when I played Traced
- 14:56Speaker 3: earlier yesterday, it was cloth Cocoon, my havens, every single
- 15:02Speaker 3: one of my havens, Cocon Cocoon, Cocon just gone right. Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 3: that was That was pretty devastating because like I had
- 15:09Speaker 3: invested at the time, I invested the resources and I
- 15:12Speaker 3: got nothing for it. Same thing with Bassian Right. You
- 15:16Speaker 3: play the orders bassion either the depending on how you're
- 15:18Speaker 3: playing it, that's four or five mana for either all
- 15:22Speaker 3: characters are non token like that that gets bounced either
- 15:26Speaker 3: you know, back to your hand or to you know,
- 15:28Speaker 3: to your discard. Like not only did you take a
- 15:31Speaker 3: turn off, but how you were going to build off
- 15:33Speaker 3: of that is now gone too, So it's you know,
- 15:38Speaker 3: it's it And I think that a lot of decks
- 15:39Speaker 3: you have to be running removal of those things. Spindle.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Spindle is another one too, for oh yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 4: It's a lot hard to get out and in the
- 15:54Speaker 4: same turn and then so easy to remove.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, only B and three costs, right, and it's
- 15:59Speaker 3: like unfortunately Like itself doesn't have tough, which is kind
- 16:02Speaker 3: of it's kind of sad like and there's.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Only one pan that has tough, yeah, the whole game.
- 16:11Speaker 3: So it again, if you feel like that you can
- 16:15Speaker 3: take the turn off and still benefit it from the
- 16:18Speaker 3: next turn, it's kind of going to be worth to
- 16:21Speaker 3: play it. Keep it in mind that that card could
- 16:23Speaker 3: get bounced just as quickly as you play it. But Haven,
- 16:26Speaker 3: like Haven, and I think Mountiful Meadow, those ones are
- 16:30Speaker 3: are pretty good because you can see almost results immediately.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Even with the carrier you know you're taking. It's the
- 16:37Speaker 3: next day, right, so you're it's it is what it is.
- 16:41Speaker 5: So that one that feels that always feels rough to me,
- 16:44Speaker 5: like which one what carrier? When I'm evaluating with it? Yeah,
- 16:48Speaker 5: the fact that it costs three and gives you nothing
- 16:50Speaker 5: on the.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Immediate Yeah, that one. That one's a little rough, and
- 16:53Speaker 3: like I was looking at so I've looked through all
- 16:55Speaker 3: of them. Now, uh the baba isba. That one gives
- 16:57Speaker 3: you a immediate play, right, you get a draw card
- 17:00Speaker 3: and then you could do the after you or that turn.
- 17:03Speaker 3: The other one, I think is the rare brass bug.
- 17:05Speaker 3: High right, you're creating a brass bug and anytime any
- 17:08Speaker 3: robots join and gets a boose. But it's six, right,
- 17:11Speaker 3: it is six, and it is it is a removal magnet.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Like oh yeah, oh yeah, I think I'm never going
- 17:19Speaker 5: to argue that. Like Sierra is super good right now.
- 17:24Speaker 6: I just today when I was on.
- 17:28Speaker 5: Well, So the one thing that she does that I
- 17:31Speaker 5: think is interesting and with regard to this conversation is
- 17:35Speaker 5: theoretically she turns off some of the penalty of having
- 17:40Speaker 5: to find that that correct rhythm to play permanence in
- 17:44Speaker 5: because if it costs three or more, she can.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Get a brass bug out of it.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Now, is is a brass bug going to help you,
- 17:52Speaker 5: really like stop somebody from getting a double advance on
- 17:56Speaker 5: turn three, turn four?
- 17:59Speaker 2: Really like?
- 18:04Speaker 3: But that's the choices, right, Like, you have to understand
- 18:07Speaker 3: if it if you're going to use it now and
- 18:09Speaker 3: it's gonna benefitulator, or if you're going to pay that
- 18:12Speaker 3: three four, five six or whatever it is and it's gone,
- 18:16Speaker 3: you know, and then well, I mean, only only monsters
- 18:22Speaker 3: play that, So it's a that's fine.
- 18:26Speaker 4: So I don't know if if you're tracking conversation earlier today,
- 18:29Speaker 4: but it's absolutely in line with what we're talking about.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I was playing Tasia up against one of those evil,
- 18:38Speaker 4: evil Akesha decks. They I'm I'm.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Have you switched? Have you switched? What your buggeyman is?
- 18:45Speaker 2: It's no longer, it's no longer. All of artists.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Yeah, orts artists made sense to me, so it was
- 18:54Speaker 4: never that bad. I still think they have the most tools,
- 18:57Speaker 4: but it didn't really aggravate me. And Akesha does she
- 19:06Speaker 4: They played, they played the categear and then they immediately
- 19:11Speaker 4: tapped it for a celestial blast, and that's for free.
- 19:17Speaker 4: So when it's for free, it ignores tough. It got
- 19:22Speaker 4: rid of my hydra and my spindle in one go.
- 19:26Speaker 5: But also what this means is that they played a
- 19:28Speaker 5: categear and you didn't have.
- 19:30Speaker 6: You did it? Take it out.
- 19:32Speaker 4: You can't it when it comes down.
- 19:35Speaker 3: You can't can't if you quick action after.
- 19:38Speaker 5: You play a card.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Well yeah, I guess I could have done it the
- 19:43Speaker 4: next turnover.
- 19:44Speaker 5: But yeah, yeah, so when they play categear, they're not
- 19:47Speaker 5: allowed to use it's it's tap that same Yeah, so
- 19:52Speaker 5: that's maybe so the way that I play into those,
- 19:56Speaker 5: Like even if I see removal on turn one when
- 19:59Speaker 5: I'm into perp will uh Akesha, I will, I will
- 20:05Speaker 5: just leave it in the pocket and tell it because
- 20:08Speaker 5: I know eventually they're going to hit me with the
- 20:10Speaker 5: stupid tower and I'm gonna need it and I don't
- 20:13Speaker 5: want to be without it.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I just can't trust Akesha players anymore because I
- 20:18Speaker 4: was like, maybe this one's good and nope, nope.
- 20:23Speaker 2: So that to the point, I don't know, kind of
- 20:28Speaker 2: come to the point where it's like if the bastion sticks, yes,
- 20:32Speaker 2: it is my end game piece, right, Like it helps
- 20:35Speaker 2: you push, Like how many times are your landmarks actually sticking?
- 20:43Speaker 5: Well, I'll tell you when I played race, is it
- 20:45Speaker 5: not very often?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Is it a high enough percentage? Like it's almost to
- 20:49Speaker 2: the point where it's like, man, I'm thinking maybe some
- 20:51Speaker 2: of these should just they should be cut from the list.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I don't know, Like I know that's a crazy thing
- 20:56Speaker 2: to say, but it's like, well, man, it's taking up
- 20:59Speaker 2: three cuts, taking a two to three cards in your
- 21:02Speaker 2: in your list, right some in some cases three raars.
- 21:09Speaker 2: There's got to be a better choice because if they're
- 21:11Speaker 2: just getting bounced, no no, no.
- 21:13Speaker 3: No no, because you're anticipating that someone's going to have
- 21:19Speaker 3: the right answer right as you play it. Right like
- 21:22Speaker 3: so it reminds me of like what we were discussing
- 21:24Speaker 3: anyways about having a like on the opposite side, right,
- 21:27Speaker 3: you see, that's going to get the perman's going to
- 21:29Speaker 3: get played. Playing against playing at our local, I played
- 21:32Speaker 3: against the store owner and he resupplied into a brass
- 21:36Speaker 3: bug hive, And so I knew like the first turn,
- 21:39Speaker 3: and so I knew it was coming right like I
- 21:41Speaker 3: saw it like turn six, I knew he was going
- 21:43Speaker 3: to play it. I had removal in my hand, and
- 21:46Speaker 3: I kept that removal card the entire time, knowing that
- 21:49Speaker 3: was going to hit the table, and then as soon
- 21:51Speaker 3: as it did, I blasted it either because like there's
- 21:53Speaker 3: no way that I could have contended with that. But
- 21:55Speaker 3: at the same time, like for the havens. You play
- 21:58Speaker 3: them and you say answer it or you know that
- 22:01Speaker 3: you're going to get flooded as the player that plays
- 22:03Speaker 3: it right, And if they don't, then you're just going
- 22:06Speaker 3: to keep on pushing that, pushing that, pushing that. Even
- 22:08Speaker 3: then by them answering it, they're still spending resources to
- 22:12Speaker 3: attempt to slow you down. And I think that's why
- 22:14Speaker 3: it stays in the deck.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it depends, right, Like, certainly I've played
- 22:21Speaker 5: decks where I'm trying to make permanence like off meta
- 22:23Speaker 5: permanence work and because there are so many meta permanents,
- 22:29Speaker 5: people are packing like they're ready to deal with it,
- 22:32Speaker 5: and so off meta can feel very rough because you
- 22:35Speaker 5: get hit by all the collateral of people that are
- 22:38Speaker 5: ready to snipe havens, just all the time, people that
- 22:43Speaker 5: know that spindle's coming and want it gone, categyar whatever,
- 22:48Speaker 5: even foundry to some extent.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Right, I mean Ortis has no way to get rid
- 22:52Speaker 6: of havens.
- 22:55Speaker 3: That's not true. Ortis has h Colenbers, right, does Ortists
- 23:00Speaker 3: have Kellen Burst?
- 23:01Speaker 6: Yes it does, But I who runs you don't?
- 23:07Speaker 3: You just don't run it, and so then nobody else
- 23:09Speaker 3: runs it.
- 23:09Speaker 2: They're called good players Dexter, I don't know if you've
- 23:13Speaker 2: heard of them.
- 23:14Speaker 6: I guess I don't know.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Yes, although like up until recently, Ortis has never needed
- 23:21Speaker 5: to worry about haven.
- 23:22Speaker 3: No because they had a robin Hood, which that's and
- 23:25Speaker 3: that's what I was talking about like a couple of
- 23:27Speaker 3: weeks ago with the robin Hood nerve right like is
- 23:29Speaker 3: that was one of the things that you and I
- 23:30Speaker 3: discussed taking robin Hood out what you replaced it with
- 23:33Speaker 3: Kellen Burst, right, because again it's going to answer that
- 23:37Speaker 3: small window that Waru had at that time where it was,
- 23:42Speaker 3: you know, not able to contend with Kellen Burst. Would Yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 3: it's hand target hand costs four or less or permanent
- 23:49Speaker 3: with hand costs four or less. That hits the haven
- 23:51Speaker 3: I don't know if you could do math or not,
- 23:53Speaker 3: but four is greater than two, so two I.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Cannot worry that. So thank you for explaining that.
- 23:57Speaker 3: That was for that was for Dexter bros.
- 24:00Speaker 2: And like doing his calcol work right now.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Like he was like, man, he's he's trying, he's struggling.
- 24:06Speaker 3: I'm sure it's not going well.
- 24:09Speaker 2: It definitely isn't.
- 24:10Speaker 3: But all right, I'm.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Calling an audible on these sheet you know what they say,
- 24:20Speaker 2: when daddy's away, the sheep will play I am the
- 24:25Speaker 2: naughty one of the group. Right, Take that how you will,
- 24:29Speaker 2: Because I don't know how this didn't make the sheet?
- 24:32Speaker 2: How did the marketplace update not make the sheet?
- 24:39Speaker 3: It's right?
- 24:40Speaker 2: Roe seven row seven, okay, live.
- 24:44Speaker 4: I mean we didn't put market.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I'm talking about the print. Like, how does didn't is
- 24:54Speaker 2: beyond me?
- 24:55Speaker 5: That is fair because Cole is the one that put
- 25:00Speaker 5: the sheet together and is nicer than the rest of us.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Okay, yeh there eeehaw.
- 25:08Speaker 2: So we'll go over the marketplace check deck construction. There's
- 25:11Speaker 2: a tryst deck over on our Patreon if you want
- 25:14Speaker 2: to go check out these deck construction that he had
- 25:16Speaker 2: done for that. People suck it altered. We know this, dexter.
- 25:20Speaker 2: You sucked marketplace, all right.
- 25:23Speaker 6: So.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Skip rights.
- 25:26Speaker 2: We're going right through it because like this is not
- 25:29Speaker 2: a bigot, Like we had all hope that we had
- 25:31Speaker 2: heard by the end of the fourth quarter this year
- 25:33Speaker 2: they were hoping to have the marketplace up to take
- 25:37Speaker 2: care of your foilers and reprint cards and all that
- 25:42Speaker 2: kind of fun stuff and kind of like, I guess
- 25:45Speaker 2: I didn't have any of this information. So I found
- 25:47Speaker 2: this information like super relevant and interesting, so I'm going
- 25:55Speaker 2: to assume everyone else does too. Agreed, Yeah, oh you
- 26:01Speaker 2: want to Yes, I want to go through this article.
- 26:05Speaker 2: So yeah, they came out about three days ago, so
- 26:08Speaker 2: that would be right before Thanksgiving ish, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
- 26:14Speaker 2: The new launch date will be communicated once the test
- 26:18Speaker 2: deemed conclusive and only when confident enough to move to
- 26:22Speaker 2: the open beta phase. We aim to achieve this in
- 26:24Speaker 2: the first quarter of twenty twenty five. Yay, So they're
- 26:30Speaker 2: looking more towards twenty twenty five.
- 26:33Speaker 6: Which is what long expected.
- 26:36Speaker 2: That I'd expected.
- 26:39Speaker 3: I got caught off guard, but I guess, like you
- 26:42Speaker 3: didn't think it was going to be ready at Q
- 26:43Speaker 3: one twenty twenty five, Like, oh.
- 26:45Speaker 5: No, sorry, I thought it was going to be ready
- 26:47Speaker 5: by Q four twenty twenty four. I didn't see the
- 26:49Speaker 5: delay coming. A yeah, I delay coming.
- 26:53Speaker 2: I kind of like, I just thought, I know how
- 26:56Speaker 2: these things work, and I've been a part of enough
- 26:58Speaker 2: game where I'm like, ooh, probably not next year, not
- 27:02Speaker 2: really going to happen this year.
- 27:03Speaker 4: This is just a total guess. But I would think
- 27:08Speaker 4: that one of the biggest hang ups when you do
- 27:10Speaker 4: something like This is one taxes for every single country
- 27:16Speaker 4: that you're operating in, and two the app fees which
- 27:21Speaker 4: they do mention in here. Like Apple wants to take
- 27:24Speaker 4: a cut and they have very strict rules. Google takes
- 27:27Speaker 4: a cut as well. They don't have as strict as rules,
- 27:30Speaker 4: but they still take a cut. Things like that. I
- 27:33Speaker 4: do think that people don't understand how massive of a thing.
- 27:39Speaker 2: This is and how difficult it is.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Yeah, so I understand if people.
- 27:44Speaker 2: The printing cards and getting them to people isn't the
- 27:47Speaker 2: difficult part, right, It's the market. It's the logistics of
- 27:52Speaker 2: all of it. So number one, it's going to operate
- 27:55Speaker 2: in euros and dollars. That's it. So anything else, if
- 27:59Speaker 2: you operate rate outside of euros and dollars, you will
- 28:03Speaker 2: now be operating in euros and dollars. I don't know
- 28:05Speaker 2: how they're gonna do so. Now they gotta. So now
- 28:07Speaker 2: they're gonna pay somebody to do some sort of weird
- 28:09Speaker 2: conversion I'm sure right, like to figure out the conversion
- 28:12Speaker 2: rate and to put that into their system. You will
- 28:17Speaker 2: put money into a wallet, and then you will be
- 28:19Speaker 2: able to spend the money in your wallet. And it
- 28:23Speaker 2: says one for one. I don't know how true that is.
- 28:28Speaker 2: So it says during the deposit, banking and service fees
- 28:30Speaker 2: will apply. I'm assuming that is like your bank, if
- 28:34Speaker 2: you have any fees that you have to pay for,
- 28:36Speaker 2: you know, using a checking or debit card or whatever
- 28:38Speaker 2: that is. Does that even a thing anymore? Are there
- 28:41Speaker 2: debit and are there bank fees that you Does anybody
- 28:44Speaker 2: pay bank fees?
- 28:47Speaker 4: Maybe just with PayPal?
- 28:49Speaker 2: It might be a thing on PayPal, maybe like cash
- 28:52Speaker 2: app stuff like that too. I can see that we're
- 28:56Speaker 2: working on offering discounts equivalent to these fees that you
- 28:59Speaker 2: can use the print on demand services i e. Or
- 29:02Speaker 2: e g. One dollar in fees would grant you one
- 29:06Speaker 2: dollar to sprint spend on print and demand. So how
- 29:11Speaker 2: it's going to work is you will be able to
- 29:13Speaker 2: order twenty card packs for reprinting, with a maximum of
- 29:17Speaker 2: fifteen packs per order. So I'm assuming I can't order
- 29:21Speaker 2: a card I have to have at least twenty before
- 29:24Speaker 2: I'm even to even able to make an order. Is
- 29:28Speaker 2: that what I'm reading here?
- 29:30Speaker 4: I don't believe that's the case, but it will cost
- 29:34Speaker 4: you more to do one by one.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Because it says a pack could either contain nonfoil cards
- 29:40Speaker 2: or foil cards, but not together. You can order both
- 29:45Speaker 2: foil and nonfoil card packs in the you can order
- 29:48Speaker 2: packs in the same order, so you either have to
- 29:51Speaker 2: do all just reprints or all foils.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so there will be more hard information coming out
- 29:59Speaker 4: in a week or two, and then after after the
- 30:04Speaker 4: beta test as well. I think there's supposed to be
- 30:07Speaker 4: a follow up article next week, if not the week after,
- 30:11Speaker 4: with how to sign up for the beta, what it entails,
- 30:14Speaker 4: all of that, But I don't think the hard financials
- 30:18Speaker 4: are in place yet.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Here's where I get confused. Marketplace right to buy and
- 30:23Speaker 2: sell your cards. You will access the service through a
- 30:26Speaker 2: dedicated marketplace space. Purchasing will be made card buy card
- 30:32Speaker 2: for each seller. You can select multiple copies of the
- 30:36Speaker 2: same card from a single seller, depending on the availability.
- 30:41Speaker 2: So it's just like I am making a trade for
- 30:43Speaker 2: you digital for digital, and I have to do it
- 30:45Speaker 2: out of market I have to do it at a marketplace.
- 30:49Speaker 5: No, so this is only for buying, right like trading
- 30:52Speaker 5: is gonna is gonna operate the same things as it
- 30:54Speaker 5: does today. It's a separate function of the app. You're
- 30:58Speaker 5: going to you know, go in it's like your trade,
- 31:00Speaker 5: send it to somebody, They look at it and, you know,
- 31:02Speaker 5: put up whatever their rebuttal is, and then you guys
- 31:04Speaker 5: go back and forth until you agree this is only
- 31:08Speaker 5: for buying. And I'm pretty sure what that line means.
- 31:10Speaker 5: It's just that, like, let's say that you need to
- 31:12Speaker 5: buy three copies of a given rare card, right any
- 31:16Speaker 5: any individual seller may only have one of them, and
- 31:20Speaker 5: so when you go to buy your three, you may
- 31:21Speaker 5: end up buying from three different people. And the marketplace
- 31:27Speaker 5: is going to anonymize sales in such a way that
- 31:30Speaker 5: you don't actually know who you're buying from. Ever, I
- 31:35Speaker 5: think you're basically just I'm gonna make the assumption because
- 31:39Speaker 5: people are gonna be able to put whatever price they
- 31:41Speaker 5: want on a thing. You're going to look at a
- 31:43Speaker 5: price listing for a thing. So I go to that card,
- 31:46Speaker 5: I see all the listings, you know what prices it's
- 31:49Speaker 5: being sold at. I pick one of them that has
- 31:53Speaker 5: a given price. And if I you know, there's like
- 31:55Speaker 5: three of these things being sold at five bucks, I'm
- 31:59Speaker 5: going to say I want three of these for five dollars.
- 32:01Speaker 5: And it's going to go out and say, okay, Bob
- 32:03Speaker 5: selling one, Terry is selling one, Stevens selling the last one.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Those three will comprise your purchase of three. And then
- 32:12Speaker 5: you know how they're going to pull from each of
- 32:14Speaker 5: those and make it happen.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 32:17Speaker 2: Okay? If Alice example, if Alice is offering two copies
- 32:21Speaker 2: of Cardocks at a dollar at one euro each, and
- 32:25Speaker 2: Bob is offering a copy of the same card at
- 32:28Speaker 2: a euro, you will need one transaction to buy two
- 32:30Speaker 2: copies from Alice and one tran and two transactions to
- 32:34Speaker 2: buy three copies total.
- 32:36Speaker 5: Yeah, so one transaction to each one transaction well now
- 32:43Speaker 5: for each seller each seller, which I think only.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Matters, but two transactions to buy three copies.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Too to get your three copies totally makes sense.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Purchases will be instant in real currency from your the
- 33:00Speaker 2: ownership rights transferred immediately upon.
- 33:03Speaker 3: That, and I like the ownership rights being transferred as
- 33:06Speaker 3: part of the marketplace by like you don't have to
- 33:07Speaker 3: go in there and separately that that'll be really nice.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Your purchases and sales will be fully anonymized. The buyer
- 33:15Speaker 2: will not see the seller's name, and the seller will
- 33:17Speaker 2: not see the buyer's name. Kind of nice.
- 33:23Speaker 5: The one thing that I that that does make me
- 33:25Speaker 5: question though, is so let's say that like one hundred
- 33:30Speaker 5: people have all decided that the price of a.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Given card is two dollars. How are they prioritized?
- 33:39Speaker 6: It's random? I'm sure.
- 33:40Speaker 4: I I think that is maybe why the anonimity is there,
- 33:46Speaker 4: because like, you don't want, you know, a big name
- 33:49Speaker 4: to come in and be the only one that is
- 33:52Speaker 4: able to sell on the market. And I don't know
- 33:56Speaker 4: for sure if this is how it'll work out, but
- 33:58Speaker 4: I kind of look at it as as the same
- 34:01Speaker 4: as the Wow auction house. So the collective public decides that,
- 34:06Speaker 4: you know, rares of a certain variety are two dollars,
- 34:11Speaker 4: someone could try to start selling like a hundred of
- 34:15Speaker 4: that rare if they got it somehow for you know,
- 34:18Speaker 4: a one dollar and undercut. But most often, if anyone
- 34:24Speaker 4: tries to sell for more, they're just not gonna sell.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Yeah, they're not gonna sell that. I guess.
- 34:29Speaker 5: The thing that I'm worrying about is eventually there's gonna
- 34:32Speaker 5: be a ton of you know, insert specific card here
- 34:36Speaker 5: wears on the marketplace. And if I'm a seller of
- 34:39Speaker 5: that rare, once I put it up on the marketplace,
- 34:45Speaker 5: as long even if I'm just doing like whatever the
- 34:48Speaker 5: accepted prices for that moment in time, it's gonna be.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Very difficult to like work your way through that queue. Right.
- 34:57Speaker 3: I guess if a die gets rolled every time and
- 35:01Speaker 3: it just picks some.
- 35:02Speaker 6: One out of like a thousand, you might just never
- 35:04Speaker 6: get picked.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:05Speaker 3: But it also could be the ordering of which people
- 35:07Speaker 3: listed it for sale to though, Like I could see that,
- 35:10Speaker 3: like it internally keeps a list of Okay, player X,
- 35:13Speaker 3: player Y, player Z listed these copies of the same
- 35:17Speaker 3: card in this order, and so that would player X,
- 35:20Speaker 3: player X would be divvied off for first, then player WY,
- 35:23Speaker 3: then player Z.
- 35:24Speaker 5: I think that's.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Probably the best way that you can have that problem.
- 35:28Speaker 4: So I think it's just wild market again, Like if
- 35:34Speaker 4: it's the market's flooded, you just leave it up and
- 35:38Speaker 4: if it sells, you get the money in your wallet
- 35:40Speaker 4: and you're good.
- 35:42Speaker 2: So here's my question. I play Lyra, right, and I
- 35:48Speaker 2: have six allans, three of which I use. Three I
- 35:55Speaker 2: am able to part with. How do I know which
- 35:59Speaker 2: ones I'm able to use which ones I'm not?
- 36:04Speaker 5: What do you mean it doesn't matter? Well, the licenses
- 36:07Speaker 5: aren't card specific.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Except for the Kickstarter and the.
- 36:12Speaker 5: If you have a Kickstarter code, you can use a
- 36:15Speaker 5: retail card.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Right, but then why do they have them separate in
- 36:20Speaker 3: your card collection?
- 36:21Speaker 5: I have no.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Idea the potential problem for the marketplace as well, and
- 36:26Speaker 3: that's what I think Wookie's asking about.
- 36:28Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure they've made it clear that in either direction,
- 36:33Speaker 5: if you have a common code, but you have a
- 36:37Speaker 5: KS print of a card, you're good to play it.
- 36:41Speaker 5: If you have a KS code, but you have a
- 36:43Speaker 5: retail print of a card, good to play it.
- 36:46Speaker 2: In your inventory to play card, you're able to play cards.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Is it annoying that you could wind up with like
- 36:57Speaker 5: the weird mismatch?
- 37:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 37:00Speaker 5: It is, But well, I think.
- 37:02Speaker 2: From us could cause potential problems for a large event, right.
- 37:07Speaker 2: We just had this in key Forge. I hate to
- 37:10Speaker 2: keep bringing them up, but we did because deck ownership
- 37:13Speaker 2: is a real thing in key Forge. Who you're able
- 37:16Speaker 2: to use and borrow decks from. Somebody came to Worlds
- 37:20Speaker 2: with a deck that they thought they were friends with
- 37:23Speaker 2: a person and thought they had the ability to use
- 37:25Speaker 2: to find out they did not. So all of a sudden,
- 37:29Speaker 2: you show up with your your your your Kickstarter version
- 37:33Speaker 2: or you know, and you show up and you're you
- 37:36Speaker 2: only own the regular versions, but those are sitting thousands
- 37:39Speaker 2: of miles back at your house.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Row. I like, but I think what you're I think
- 37:45Speaker 3: what you're saying is is right, like you, there is
- 37:48Speaker 3: no difference to tell between the digital version and the
- 37:51Speaker 3: physical version. You're not selling the physical version with this, right,
- 37:55Speaker 3: You're only selling the digital copy, especially because the.
- 37:58Speaker 2: The the and oh my gosh, thank you yep, I
- 38:04Speaker 2: have a problem with that word.
- 38:05Speaker 3: The anonymity of the buyer and seller. You would not
- 38:08Speaker 3: be able to probably unless somehow you figure that out,
- 38:11Speaker 3: sell and send the physical copy, which is probably what
- 38:15Speaker 3: they're trying to do, right, Oh, you bought the digital diverse,
- 38:17Speaker 3: you know how the physical you should do print on demand.
- 38:19Speaker 5: And yeah, they're they're not going to give away to.
- 38:23Speaker 2: That's part of this. What happens with my physical card.
- 38:26Speaker 2: They're just dead now they're dead. Yeah, they become dead.
- 38:29Speaker 2: So well, I say dead, you've sold your life. Let's
- 38:32Speaker 2: say you've got three copies of a rare. Sure you
- 38:35Speaker 2: sell all three.
- 38:36Speaker 5: You now have those three cards, but you don't have
- 38:39Speaker 5: three licenses. The intent like when it was discussed way
- 38:44Speaker 5: back when a million years.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Ago you could just toss those cards.
- 38:48Speaker 5: You could throw them, but you can also just leave
- 38:51Speaker 5: them in your collection. And then when you need to
- 38:54Speaker 5: go to an event and it's like, oh, hey, I
- 38:56Speaker 5: am going to run a deck that has this. Either
- 38:57Speaker 5: a I can hop on the market place and buy
- 39:00Speaker 5: back three licenses real quick, and I already have the
- 39:03Speaker 5: three cards.
- 39:03Speaker 3: I don't have to wait for the print on demand.
- 39:05Speaker 5: Or I can call up my buddies at and be like,
- 39:08Speaker 5: hey man, can you hop on and give me a
- 39:11Speaker 5: one day rental of these three cards that features Another
- 39:16Speaker 5: one that's coming the ability to like temporarily loan out
- 39:18Speaker 5: licenses so that you don't have to trust.
- 39:20Speaker 3: The other person.
- 39:22Speaker 5: So having a physical copy of a card that you
- 39:26Speaker 5: don't have a license for is not a bad thing.
- 39:29Speaker 3: It's going to let you be flexible.
- 39:31Speaker 5: So like a lot of if you're a casual player,
- 39:34Speaker 5: it's gonna make a lot of sense to get all
- 39:35Speaker 5: your cards, find the ones that you really care about,
- 39:38Speaker 5: and then all the ones that you don't sell your licenses,
- 39:41Speaker 5: get on the marketplace, put them all up there, keep
- 39:43Speaker 5: your cards for playing at your house, and then when
- 39:47Speaker 5: it comes time to like you decide maybe you want
- 39:49Speaker 5: to actually go play in op you want to go
- 39:51Speaker 5: play in tournaments, whatever, you have all the physical cards there,
- 39:55Speaker 5: it should be a very quick endeavor for you to
- 39:58Speaker 5: hop on purchase the rest of what you need for
- 40:02Speaker 5: like license wise out of the marketplace, and if you've
- 40:04Speaker 5: already got them, if your local store has them, if
- 40:06Speaker 5: your friend has them, you know, physical copies of those cards.
- 40:11Speaker 5: It should let trading, borrowing, switching decks up last minute.
- 40:18Speaker 5: Like even if, like you just said, right, you have
- 40:22Speaker 5: copies of the cards physically, but you realize when you
- 40:24Speaker 5: get all the way out there to worlds, oh crap,
- 40:27Speaker 5: I don't have the licenses that I need for this.
- 40:30Speaker 5: You just happen to let the marketplace in the lobby.
- 40:34Speaker 5: By the licenses you need, you're good to go.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Yeah, so or have a friend send them over.
- 40:39Speaker 3: So, Tom, if I said your name wrong, I apologize.
- 40:43Speaker 3: But thirty nine cards dot Com is in the audience,
- 40:46Speaker 3: and he said that they have said multiple times that
- 40:48Speaker 3: the card version will not matter and any card with
- 40:50Speaker 3: the same English name is the same for deck check purposes.
- 40:53Speaker 3: They even said that you'll be able to play with
- 40:54Speaker 3: art cards even if you don't own the digital al
- 40:57Speaker 3: art version, So it's yeah, I think is long the
- 41:01Speaker 3: only way that it could work. Yeah, as long as
- 41:04Speaker 3: you if your deck physically matches what you have in
- 41:09Speaker 3: your altered account ownership, you know, card per card, then
- 41:13Speaker 3: it's yeah's not going to really be able to show
- 41:16Speaker 3: that this is the Kickstarter version and this isn't the
- 41:18Speaker 3: Kickstarter version.
- 41:19Speaker 4: So yeah, I throw around cards, probably a little more
- 41:24Speaker 4: than I should. Like, I just traded with some person
- 41:27Speaker 4: I don't even know, and I don't even know where
- 41:29Speaker 4: those cards are that I gave away, but they're artists,
- 41:32Speaker 4: so I don't care.
- 41:34Speaker 3: That's that hurts me. That hurts my soul.
- 41:37Speaker 2: It was just a.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Sandman and a well or Despy. They're both pretty good cards.
- 41:48Speaker 4: But hey, I got a Capellia and a Chronicler, so
- 41:53Speaker 4: I'll there you go.
- 41:54Speaker 3: Thought I gave you the Capellia Axiom.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Oh Roger, they didn't have any muna that I wanted.
- 42:02Speaker 4: But I'm trying to get better at organizing my cards.
- 42:04Speaker 4: I have a binder and stuff now. But if it's ortists,
- 42:06Speaker 4: I'm just like here, throw it.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Minor on a desk. They're between a desk and a
- 42:10Speaker 2: coffee table right now. So well, you don't.
- 42:12Speaker 6: Have that mini Wookie, so it's not that much of
- 42:15Speaker 6: a problem for you.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Motherfucker. I probably got more than you.
- 42:18Speaker 3: That's true.
- 42:22Speaker 2: We're doing a box break this week. Yeah, and I'm excited.
- 42:27Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not exactly as excited, but they do
- 42:29Speaker 2: again now talk about due to taxes and the Apple
- 42:33Speaker 2: App Store and Google Play platforms, along with existing legal precedents,
- 42:37Speaker 2: and to ensure the financial viability of the project, we're
- 42:40Speaker 2: deciding not to integrate these services directly in the app. Instead,
- 42:44Speaker 2: short clubs, shortcuts within the Apple redirect you to the
- 42:48Speaker 2: web version of Altered where you need to log into
- 42:50Speaker 2: your account services, so on and so forth. And actually
- 42:53Speaker 2: they cite the epic games Fortnite versus Apple that ensued
- 42:59Speaker 2: a few years ago.
- 43:00Speaker 6: Money.
- 43:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I I love this, and I know some people
- 43:04Speaker 4: are going to complain about it, but it is so
- 43:06Speaker 4: incredibly smart. And there is one note that Loki provided
- 43:12Speaker 4: in the discord which could be changed in the future.
- 43:16Speaker 4: But because of things like this, if you load money
- 43:20Speaker 4: into your wallet, you might not be able to withdraw
- 43:24Speaker 4: that money back out specifically, but for all the cards
- 43:29Speaker 4: you sell, you'll be able to withdraw that money. So
- 43:32Speaker 4: like if you're hurting, if you're hurting for cash or something,
- 43:36Speaker 4: you sell a bunch of cards, you know, put that
- 43:38Speaker 4: in your bank account, you're good to go.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Yeah, money you would load on, you're unable to get out.
- 43:44Speaker 5: It's very strange, the basic I think the basic I
- 43:48Speaker 5: don't know. I am less positive about all of it
- 43:51Speaker 5: than cold is, so I'm trying to be a good boy.
- 43:53Speaker 5: But the I think the well, it's commonly digital platforms.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Right, if I load five dollars into Steam, I can't
- 44:02Speaker 4: withdraw that back out in debit, can I?
- 44:07Speaker 2: Or if I do it on Go loaded money into
- 44:11Speaker 2: a wallet, I've always just linked my card.
- 44:14Speaker 3: I just buy what I need Steam.
- 44:16Speaker 4: I I won't begin to pretend I know why that's
- 44:20Speaker 4: the thing, but I think it is very common with
- 44:24Speaker 4: anywhere you load money.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Hmm. I feel like that. The I mean, like like
- 44:28Speaker 3: the Nintendo Online like you said, Steam, Yeah, Blizzard, like anything.
- 44:34Speaker 3: I feel like if you load money into the game,
- 44:36Speaker 3: you're paying the game at that point, right, and then
- 44:39Speaker 3: to have online money or digital currency right.
- 44:42Speaker 5: Fortunately, though that there is a difference between what you
- 44:47Speaker 5: guys are talking about is a place for you to
- 44:52Speaker 5: go buy a thing, not as a seller versus a
- 44:56Speaker 5: marketplace that is designed for buyers and sellers to interact,
- 45:01Speaker 5: complicating the process of Okay, some of the money that
- 45:04Speaker 5: is in my wallet I have access to, and some
- 45:06Speaker 5: of the money that is in my wallet I did
- 45:07Speaker 5: not have access to.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Ye, I don't know how it's going to play out,
- 45:13Speaker 4: but like this is this is one of the reasons,
- 45:15Speaker 4: you know, they're doing a beta first and testing how
- 45:20Speaker 4: how everything works out.
- 45:22Speaker 5: It The whole thing blows my brain just just a
- 45:25Speaker 5: little bit that this is part of.
- 45:28Speaker 3: My my.
- 45:30Speaker 5: I don't know, confusion, pessimism about this whole thing.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Is that like.
- 45:35Speaker 5: They how long ago now, like the first thing that
- 45:42Speaker 5: anybody heard about this game, people were talking about this
- 45:47Speaker 5: marketplace and the way that the cards were going to
- 45:50Speaker 5: be scanned and sellable and tradable and all this kind
- 45:54Speaker 5: of stuff before they were even before they knew how
- 45:56Speaker 5: the game played, they knew that this was going to
- 45:58Speaker 5: be a thing. Right, It's the first thing that was
- 46:00Speaker 5: market It's the first thing that was talked about. We
- 46:02Speaker 5: hadn't even really seen cards yet, and we knew this.
- 46:06Speaker 5: How was were some of these things not like researched
- 46:12Speaker 5: and known way back then? Right, Like, was it pitched
- 46:18Speaker 5: as an idea and it is like, well, we'd like
- 46:19Speaker 5: to do this, but we need enough money to on
- 46:23Speaker 5: the kickstarter to be able to like make it a
- 46:25Speaker 5: viable route. Because that's not That's never the way that
- 46:27Speaker 5: it felt, because I know when I would make arguments
- 46:30Speaker 5: because it got there was a couple communities I was
- 46:32Speaker 5: in that it just got trashed basically over these things,
- 46:36Speaker 5: right Like people did not like the idea of this
- 46:40Speaker 5: digital marketplace superseding what they were used to because they're
- 46:43Speaker 5: conditioned to like TCG player and stuff like that. And
- 46:50Speaker 5: I was like, listen, read this article. They they have
- 46:54Speaker 5: a plan, they're going to do these things. They know
- 46:58Speaker 5: about it well in advance of the game releasing, well
- 47:01Speaker 5: in advance of the kickstarter coming out, Like all of
- 47:04Speaker 5: this stuff is already in the works. It's already being
- 47:10Speaker 5: worked on and solved, so that when you know, we
- 47:14Speaker 5: hit release, naive me way back then thought the release
- 47:18Speaker 5: was you know, it was all going to kind of
- 47:20Speaker 5: happen at the same time whenever the kickstarter delivered. So
- 47:25Speaker 5: I guess that's why I am less. I don't know
- 47:32Speaker 5: what the right word is.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Optimistic.
- 47:36Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's not that I'm met at them, which
- 47:38Speaker 5: I think maybe it could, it could come across that
- 47:40Speaker 5: way a little bit. I just think that it it
- 47:43Speaker 5: confuses me.
- 47:45Speaker 4: We're not mad, we're disappointed.
- 47:49Speaker 3: It's mostly just confused. I don't know, it's it's confusion.
- 47:52Speaker 2: I don't and I think a lot of the confusion
- 47:54Speaker 2: comes with like.
- 47:57Speaker 6: This.
- 47:58Speaker 2: I don't know how a world why this became. And
- 48:02Speaker 2: a law that is in France is different than a
- 48:04Speaker 2: law that is in the US. That is different than
- 48:06Speaker 2: a law that is in Canada, that is different than
- 48:08Speaker 2: a law that's in Germany, China, Russia, all these different
- 48:13Speaker 2: all these laws are different on what you can and
- 48:16Speaker 2: cannot do online. And it has a lot to do
- 48:20Speaker 2: with gambling. I know that much that it was a
- 48:25Speaker 2: big thing for c us go when the loot box
- 48:31Speaker 2: it like there are some countries you're not you cannot
- 48:33Speaker 2: buy the loot boxes that are out there because they
- 48:37Speaker 2: consider it gambling. And like the v bus and all
- 48:41Speaker 2: this other things, like there's a lot of laws that
- 48:44Speaker 2: get into it, and you have to code for each
- 48:49Speaker 2: one of these countries, and then how do you bridge
- 48:52Speaker 2: the gap between somebody trying to sell something in France.
- 48:56Speaker 2: That is, he's trying to sell it and somebody in
- 48:59Speaker 2: England is trying to buy it, and those laws clash
- 49:03Speaker 2: as far as online commerce goes.
- 49:06Speaker 5: But but if it's you, let's say this is your project,
- 49:10Speaker 5: how deep are you into those weeds before you make
- 49:13Speaker 5: any promises?
- 49:15Speaker 6: Uh?
- 49:17Speaker 2: I mean if it's me, I don't even make these promises.
- 49:20Speaker 2: I saved this as a thing that happens later, like
- 49:25Speaker 2: and if it happens, it happens, and great under. I
- 49:28Speaker 2: am of the age old under promise, under, promise, over deliver, right, Okay,
- 49:35Speaker 2: if this is me and created company, I don't say
- 49:38Speaker 2: Jack squat about this quote unquote marketplace. Maybe I put
- 49:42Speaker 2: it on my website and do the coming like they
- 49:44Speaker 2: have now, But I don't tell anybody what it's for.
- 49:48Speaker 2: And I have an idea, and then I work towards
- 49:50Speaker 2: that idea, and then once I get it, I release it.
- 49:53Speaker 5: Absolutely so so the things that I think in my
- 49:57Speaker 5: head right of why why is it still, at this
- 50:05Speaker 5: point in the game, still on such rocky footing when
- 50:08Speaker 5: it's something that theoretically like they've been working on this
- 50:11Speaker 5: game for a lot longer than we've been playing it,
- 50:16Speaker 5: talking about it.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Podcasting like rocky footing. Like that's not the vibe I
- 50:22Speaker 2: get out of this article that it's like super rocky
- 50:25Speaker 2: and they don't know. I think a lot of it
- 50:28Speaker 2: has to deal more with just okay, the coding issues, right,
- 50:32Speaker 2: Like that's the struggle you're going to have.
- 50:35Speaker 5: It could be, But it does make me wonder if
- 50:37Speaker 5: they got rubb pulled, you know what I mean, Like
- 50:40Speaker 5: I feel like just trying to put myself in their shoes.
- 50:45Speaker 5: For me to have been comfortable making as many promises
- 50:49Speaker 5: and being like leading with this foot I would have
- 50:53Speaker 5: had to have been very confident in delivering that thing.
- 51:00Speaker 5: So I wonder if they had everything lined out, they
- 51:02Speaker 5: had agreements in place, they had like technical partners that
- 51:06Speaker 5: they were they were working with on all of these
- 51:09Speaker 5: platforms that said absolutely, you do this, this and this,
- 51:12Speaker 5: you're good. And then somewhere down the line something got pulled,
- 51:19Speaker 5: maybe maybe a law pass that they weren't like you
- 51:21Speaker 5: were alluding to earlier. Something changed and it part of
- 51:26Speaker 5: their plan.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Something did change. I mean I don't think they, I
- 51:30Speaker 2: mean doesn't f FG now has a hand in this,
- 51:34Speaker 2: right not FG.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Oh that's okay.
- 51:41Speaker 2: So that is assuming something back in the day when
- 51:45Speaker 2: they were first starting this. I don't think they plan
- 51:50Speaker 2: on partnering or selling or whatever is going on with
- 51:54Speaker 2: Asthma day.
- 51:57Speaker 5: And that's an angle ahead and considered.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Once you get with a larger company, sometimes rules change.
- 52:04Speaker 2: When you're a tiny company, you have to buy rules X.
- 52:08Speaker 2: When you are a multi huge company, multimillion dollar gigantic company,
- 52:14Speaker 2: you have to apply by a whole different set of rules.
- 52:19Speaker 2: That might it might have something to do it, it
- 52:20Speaker 2: might have nothing to do with it. I don't know.
- 52:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's really just the easiest explanation in
- 52:30Speaker 4: you can have plans to do things, but once you
- 52:34Speaker 4: go to do them, you're going to run into all
- 52:36Speaker 4: sorts of issues, even with like you know, development of websites, apps,
- 52:42Speaker 4: code things like that. Like sure, you can think you're
- 52:47Speaker 4: gonna release on this date, but if something throws a
- 52:50Speaker 4: wrench in that, then you're not.
- 52:52Speaker 2: All sudden some code clashes or just in trouble.
- 52:57Speaker 4: I am more surprised that it's not launching with like
- 53:02Speaker 4: only in the US and EU countries for now. Coming
- 53:08Speaker 4: later will be like UK and other stuff.
- 53:13Speaker 2: I mean they might we're going to do this and
- 53:16Speaker 2: then we're going to do this because.
- 53:18Speaker 4: As of now, they are trying to make it accessible
- 53:23Speaker 4: to every single country like it in the whole world.
- 53:29Speaker 4: Well and then a lot of differences.
- 53:30Speaker 5: Them limiting the finances available to uh uh dollar pound
- 53:37Speaker 5: may help simplify that a bit, like they're making other
- 53:40Speaker 5: people jump through the hoops of conversion before they get there,
- 53:44Speaker 5: which which simplifies that problem a little, not a lot.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Aren't they a front they are?
- 53:54Speaker 3: Indeed, the.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Dollar makes sense.
- 54:02Speaker 5: Oh what did I say pound? It's not pounds?
- 54:05Speaker 3: Yeah, heero it is zero.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you did say pound. And then I just kind
- 54:09Speaker 2: of ran with it because that's how we roll sometimes
- 54:12Speaker 2: interesting stuff. Go check out the article if you want
- 54:15Speaker 2: to read it for yourself. I do think it is
- 54:18Speaker 2: a good article. Kind of just peruse and read, maybe
- 54:23Speaker 2: get excited about something. But it's time for the marketplace.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Should we see what a box is going for right now?
- 54:31Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 54:31Speaker 3: I have eleven Black Friday specials.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Black Friday specials. It is Black Friday as of the
- 54:37Speaker 2: time of recording this.
- 54:39Speaker 4: The tinfoil is that Gamers Guild raised their prices so
- 54:45Speaker 4: that they could lower them back down for Black Friday.
- 54:47Speaker 4: So let's see if that's true.
- 54:49Speaker 2: So I am showing here. I found an ebayed seller
- 54:51Speaker 2: Flower Cities Games and more. Usually they're selling their boxes
- 54:57Speaker 2: for one seventy. I don't know if this is a
- 54:59Speaker 2: an eBay thing or they lowered it for good, or
- 55:01Speaker 2: if it is a Black Friday thing, but one forty
- 55:04Speaker 2: right now is what you can get eight.
- 55:05Speaker 6: I'm saying a few different things on eBay for like
- 55:08Speaker 6: one for one.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and it might just be a Black Friday thing.
- 55:11Speaker 2: They might end up going back up.
- 55:13Speaker 5: I'm sorry, was that one forty for retailer ks KOs? Okay, okay,
- 55:17Speaker 5: all right?
- 55:17Speaker 2: Cool retail is pretty much sitting strong. Actually, I found
- 55:21Speaker 2: another one on eBay here regular just beyond the gates
- 55:25Speaker 2: eighty bucks.
- 55:27Speaker 6: So these is actually five kid starter right now.
- 55:32Speaker 5: Yeah, eighties an all time low, isn't it?
- 55:35Speaker 2: But this might just be a Black Friday thing too.
- 55:38Speaker 5: I've seen eighty five. I don't think I've seen eighty.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Are Our typical go to has been Gamerskilled Arizona, right, and.
- 55:48Speaker 2: They are still at eighty nine ninety nine. But there
- 55:50Speaker 2: are a lot of seventy nine ninety nine out there
- 55:53Speaker 2: right now. Again, it is Black Friday. It is Black Friday,
- 55:58Speaker 2: So take these with a great AsSalt next week Friday
- 56:02Speaker 2: might be right back to where it was.
- 56:05Speaker 4: Yeah, gamers Guild actually does not have it on sell
- 56:08Speaker 4: at all. They have it at one seventy five for
- 56:11Speaker 4: the Kickstarter and I did read more of an explanation
- 56:17Speaker 4: of why gamers Guild has so many and why they
- 56:20Speaker 4: keep getting them in stock. Basically, they ordered so many
- 56:25Speaker 4: that Asthma Day did not have their full order when
- 56:29Speaker 4: they ordered it, and have been giving them batch orders.
- 56:33Speaker 4: So the next batch will go to gamers Guild in December.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Oh, so they're gonna get in like waves.
- 56:40Speaker 4: Yeah, that's how much they ordered.
- 56:42Speaker 2: Got it?
- 56:42Speaker 3: Really?
- 56:43Speaker 2: God good on them, man, keep them coming.
- 56:47Speaker 5: I how many thousands must must they have purchased.
- 56:50Speaker 4: It's got to be a little over two thousand by now.
- 56:56Speaker 2: I'm not sure your altered accessories now on Amazon.
- 57:01Speaker 6: Probably just got like three hundred cases or something.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Wild stuff.
- 57:06Speaker 5: Man, I mean, good on them for betting so so
- 57:09Speaker 5: big on the game. I just wish I wish that
- 57:13Speaker 5: the event that they hosted had gone a little better.
- 57:15Speaker 2: I wish there was a stronger US presence. Yeah, hopefully
- 57:20Speaker 2: most of the games I play, I wish there was
- 57:22Speaker 2: a stronger US presence.
- 57:24Speaker 5: Hopefully starting in like January February, they'll see a return
- 57:28Speaker 5: on that that initial investment and they'll start getting if
- 57:33Speaker 5: they're if they're going to stay involved on that level,
- 57:36Speaker 5: like hosting big events and stuff. If they do another one,
- 57:41Speaker 5: I'll try to make it out there, just see you
- 57:43Speaker 5: know what it's what it's like, because I don't know
- 57:44Speaker 5: anything about them, so maybe maybe you know, I'm going
- 57:48Speaker 5: to assume that they're a pretty nice place.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Next week, yeah, yep, two weeks next week.
- 57:55Speaker 4: Next week, I got to lie out in one, two,
- 57:59Speaker 4: three or five five days.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Basically I thought about flying out, not gone for for
- 58:06Speaker 2: reasons aforementioned.
- 58:08Speaker 4: Yeah. So anyways, uh a season two? Yeah, we are
- 58:16Speaker 4: good to go for a season two starting the Tuesday
- 58:20Speaker 4: that this episode should drop. So if you're listening to
- 58:24Speaker 4: this before six thirty pm Central Time, hop in. Uh
- 58:31Speaker 4: egis is it is? That? How we're saying it is?
- 58:34Speaker 4: Egis right?
- 58:34Speaker 2: I always said ages, But what are you?
- 58:37Speaker 4: I think I think they asked Julia.
- 58:40Speaker 5: Oh, we got a confirmation we did, and I.
- 58:45Speaker 2: It's not what I wanted to know.
- 58:48Speaker 3: I'm terrible with names and so I've forgotten.
- 58:50Speaker 4: But anyways, uh agous creative company. Uh, there is a
- 58:57Speaker 4: link to their website for the Saturday Weekly on our
- 59:04Speaker 4: website and then there's information that we post with each event.
- 59:09Speaker 4: If you're in the Houston area, definitely check them out.
- 59:12Speaker 4: But that means we will have prizing again for season two,
- 59:19Speaker 4: so for the weeks before the championship, it'll be your classic.
- 59:26Speaker 4: First place gets a unique foiler, second place gets a
- 59:29Speaker 4: rare foiler, but the top two of each week do
- 59:34Speaker 4: get a invite to the championship. And the prizing for
- 59:38Speaker 4: the championship is basically a whole box and then split
- 59:42Speaker 4: down the tiers first, second, third, top four, top eight, etc.
- 59:49Speaker 4: And just to rattle off all of the online tournaments
- 59:55Speaker 4: we have going now, we have Keelon Guy who started
- 59:59Speaker 4: his new weekly which is on Tuesdays, should end a
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: couple hours before ACE, so you could play in both.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: A Wall now has a Monday tournament that is more
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: EU time centered and a Wednesday and Go for Altered
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: is doing another tournament coming up on a Sunday. I
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: can grab that information really quickly. Yeah, so it'll be
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: on the first, So this Sunday at eight pm CET.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: A lot of those should be on Board Game arena.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: But if not, you can look up the name that
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: I listed there and as what you mentioned, I will
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: be at packs next week and there's some events there.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: If you haven't gotten tickets for the ones that are ticketed,
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: I would highly suggest doing so as soon as you can,
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: and I'll give you a recap when I'm back.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Uh yeah, and ask Cole. He'll he'll have signed eight
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: by tens of himself. You should form they're five yep,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: and we should.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: We should in the same breath that you're mentioning, like
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: just how many tournaments there are? Now? We should shout
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: out somebody that's in the audience right now. Tom's site
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: continues to pay dividends thirty nine cards dot com is awesome.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: I'm still saying that he needs to put buy me
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: a Coffee or something like that on the website so
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: people can start tipping him. And I not linked on
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: the website as far as I know. But you can
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: also go to Altered Corner dot com and go to
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: the tournament's tab. You'll see the season one champion picture
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: and you'll see a link to the deck and decklists
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: provided by Tom.
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: So m.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Alrighty, moving on forward. We got our biggest wishes coming
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: up for each faction in TVF. I guess, Cole, We've
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: been split out. We've been divided into our colors, right
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: like like the Power Rangers. We all have our own
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: own faction, right.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: All right, I'm gonna flip the script and let Zach
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: go first, because I have had two tall glasses water
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: and I really got a pee.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: I'll be right back, fair, all right, Well hit it, Zach.
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: All right. So my biggest wish for Christmas, for trials
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: by Frost, for artists.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: I mean, I would like Robin Hood out.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: No, no, no, I know Robin Hood. Robin Hood has
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: seen his time of glory. I think that there's I
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: wish that there's going to be a new broken bureauqut
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: so that people go Robin Hood wasn't so bad, but
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: this new guy. And no, I don't want it to
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: be broken. I don't want to. I do wish, in
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: all seriousness, for more bureaucrats to to get a better
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: option flow to you know, to put you know, more
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: is still good, but you know, to kind of to
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: keep I think on pace with everything else, but more bureaucruts.
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: The wrong with that.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Dexter has an idea for Bravos. So what's your idea
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: dexter for Bravos.
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: So what I'm thinking, so Trial by Frost, this whole
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: ice theme. I'm assuming there might be some more put
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: in to sleep stuff going on. So Bravos, they're all
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: like expedition people and they're trying to rush early on.
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: So maybe if they have some anti sleep tech to
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: be really cool, just because I think we'll see an uptech,
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: an uptick in cards that put stuff to sleep in
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: this set. So if.
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: War warming fires as an equipment or something, and that
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: is that is something that we haven't outside of fleeting,
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: there's not really much that removes statuses. Like a lot
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: of things remove fleeting, but I can't think of anything
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: that's removing.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Anchor instead of us sleep A d boost that's interesting. Oh,
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: that a negative boost. I could see that for the Frost.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: Possibly that's it. That's you can have like a.
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: Cup of coffee we've already got We've seen the milk
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: expedition gear for Bravos, right, you could have a cup
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: of coffee to go with it.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: Characters in my expedition cannot be put to sleep.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: Olger for Axiom.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: Okay, so I what I want? This is kind of esoteric.
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: The good Axiom stuff right now is pretty straightforward, right,
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: Like you put your Haven on the board and then
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: you play cheap things and those things get boost and
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: that's how you win. I would like to see something
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: that has me building a machine on the board, Like
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: give me something where like I have to I have
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: to build an engine that is competitive, right, so that
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: I can sort of live that Axiom mechanical flavored dream.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: Maybe that comes in the form of more robots, energies,
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: or just more robots that interact with one another so
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: that you can get different effects depending on like what
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: components you have on the board. Stuff like that, Like
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: give me a line that I can take that Aby
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: crazy talk here doesn't include Haven that sort of.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: When I looked at Axiom, I did not think that
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: it was going to be the most straightforward faction to play,
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: But it kind of is the most straightforward faction to play,
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: at least like with top Dog Turbo, who is pretty
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: much the only character that you see from that faction
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: in big lists. Subah shows up, you know, every now
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: and again. But give me some like me, give me
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: some crazy mechanical hoops I got to jump through.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: I like it if it's right in line with my
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: wanting more beercrats, right, like more paperwork for for WARU.
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: All right, Zach. Since since you oh god damn it,
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: I don't have this cord nitro. Uh, since you said
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: a bureaucrat, what about this character do you think? Because
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: if you recognize it, it's actually the character that is
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: on a token, but she now has a huge shield
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: and is on the trial by Frost Booster. What do
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: you think that's about?
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: That is the Uh, but let's see the recruit ask
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: access details.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, is it the recruit female? Uh?
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the one on the right here.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: Are you sure because the hair is sun up a
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: lot different?
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: I am sure.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Okay, it looks like that's a big shield, like that
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: is some heavy duty defensive stuff, and.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: She's and she's gotten a lot of armor. Maybe she's
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: maybe she's been promoted from recruit to full blown character squire.
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: Maybe you have the ability to make bigger recruits maybe
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: or upgrade recruits.
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: Where's her friend?
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: He died at the hill or he's still reading that book?
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: I don't know frozen.
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: He listen, Zachie's cracked it. She's a bureaucrat. She went
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: the soldier route. She's gotten promoted, she's gotten armor. Homie there,
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: he said, Nah, I'm into I'm into law.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: That's right, paperwork, bureaucratic.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: Else in the snow, I don't know if that's like
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: an astral projection or it's snow obscuring them. But there
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: are two people on that cover.
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: Yeah, for a second, I thought it looked like her
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: using like a shield bashability and like that was her
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: after image. But if you look, the person behind looks
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: to have facial hair and long hair.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Yeah, almost like a Kojo or something.
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: It's not Coojo.
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: There's too much hairror on that guy.
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: It's like a wise old yeah, a little older.
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: It's like full Jesus hair.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: That's more that that's like, that's like down to his ass,
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: Like that's really hard. We will have.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: A spoiler episode coming up when spoiler season kicks off,
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: and I will give you a little hint here if
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: you haven't connected the pieces. A lot of spoilers are
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: going to start kicking off next week when Peck starts.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Seems fair, you still got to give a smoonacle.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys, You guys had such easy wishes. How
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: is it to already have almost everything you need? I
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: will say, Mona really needs more viable, low cost options.
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: I think it's really hard right now, especially with how
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: we mentioned a lot of the permanent removal being in
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: every deck. It's really hard that basically every well almost
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: every good Muna deck relies on a hydra that's a
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: very big spend. Also a little later in the game,
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: depending on if you ramp or not, and it's becoming
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: easier to remove based on how the meta has shifted.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: So I think that I think there are enough ways
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: to anchor. I just think there's not enough hards to
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: anchor that are worth it. Maybe something that anchors over
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: three would be cool. Good tech.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: Is very terrified.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Yeah, so we we've seen.
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: For a way to protect your anchored cards. Because that's
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: that's the big problem, right is that, like, yeah, once
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: anchored goes on a thing, it becomes a giant cloth cocoon, magnet.
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: Yep yep. I. I I will open this up to
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: everyone though, when they read the Yeddie card, it was
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: the first The first part of the text is from hand,
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: you may put me to sleep. If you do, then
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: there's more to the card. What would you think that
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: would be.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: I think it's going to be something simple like I
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: gained boosts. I think it's going to be a way
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: to ramp his stats. I think it gets anchored. Anchor.
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: Anchor and sleep don't work. You lose both at the
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: same time.
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: It would come off together. Uh, draw a card would
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: be really great for Muna.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: I would just try to think thematically.
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: But yeah, it could be though. Uh at noon, I
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: gain angered. If you're trying to say, like the cost
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: of sleeping him, he will anger himself.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I.
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: Oh, it would be always Okay, that's basically you're right.
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: The way that works doesn't work.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: If if we go super on theme from hand, you
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: may put me to sleep. If you do, I gain defender.
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: It's like the yetti is freezing that expedition. I don't
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: think it would be very good.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: That's awful.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: It is a possibility.
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: No, but what could you want? What if it's what
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: if it's so if you're imagining him like calling a
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: snowstorm in it could be what if he's like it's
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: a tack on a stick.
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: Yeah, that could be super cool.
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be nice because Muna does not have
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: a talk.
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: I actually really like that idea.
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: That would be nutso though, like imagine that you're playing
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: into a late game uh Dracana or hydra Cana and
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: they've got like a sixteen dragon on one side and
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: then they yetti the other.
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: That would be me.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: I don't like it all right, Dexter, what do you
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: got for ismir?
- 1:13:37Speaker 6: Okay? So for yzmir uh, Linde does not have enough
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: tools at all. We just need to have more sacrifice abilities,
- 1:13:47Speaker 6: have more cards that when they get sacrificed they do
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: stuff and am.
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: That is when you play another character into my lane,
- 1:14:01Speaker 5: sacrifice it.
- 1:14:03Speaker 6: Okay that the.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Text on that is paraphrase, but basically if he's in
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: a lane, every character that you play there after that
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: is gonna get auto sacked.
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: Uh huh. I would love to see some like spells
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: and effects that be like sacrifice a character. If you
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: do give boost, give anchored, give us leap, do stuff,
- 1:14:23Speaker 6: that could be cool. Just give more Lindway some more tools.
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: You could give her some sustain even and like sacrifice
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: a character right to do a thing, but have the
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: sacrifice character because we know one of the mechanics that's
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: coming with Tilvey Frost is I think they called it
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: cool down in the thing that I saw. Basically, it
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: goes to reserved, but it's exhausted and it cannot be
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: played from observed while it's exhausted. So you sack a thing,
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: but instead of it like fully losing it, it gets
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: sent to reserve exhausted, and then you get to play
- 1:14:59Speaker 5: with being able to sack things without losing them forever
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: a and you can start playing with that other exhausted
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: card in reserve mechanic.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: That'd be super cool.
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: For sure.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: All right, And I have Lyra. Y'all went like super
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: like meta and like thematic. Mine is a little more
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: What do I want to say? Mine's a little more greedy.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Please make uniques that don't suck.
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: Look, look, I told you I'll send you a call.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: Yeah again, we're still in the same lane.
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: I feel what Wookie wants for Christmas is an algorithm updates.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Yes you just, I was gonna say, rising to the floor,
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: I just.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: You know, I don't know. Out of all the stuff
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: I've I've bought paid for it open. I now have
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: two Lyra uniques. One's one's playable, one's.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: Not, or just better.
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: More and better.
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: You can have this one.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Raise the pole, like I don't know, Like I don't
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: see a lot of liar uniques, and I've spent a
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: lot of time on eBay and as the game uniques
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: for Lyra or like yeah exactly, Like I.
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: Know five of them are Lyra. The majority of my
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: uniques are Lyra.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: Because that has not been my experience whatsoever. And I
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: want I want Neveca to be tournament playable. I don't know.
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: I'm not a game designer. I thought we were just
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: wishing for things.
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: Yeah, we know the heroes are not changing though, so
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: that's like.
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: A hero. I just said, give her more support to
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: make her more turn.
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: So one easy card you could make for Novenka that
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: is in line so you we now know you have
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: to have Martin Gil's basically because it's almost better than
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: having the landmark. What about a card that is, you know,
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: a character that lets.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: You re roll once that that might work? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: I work. Just I want I want to roll dice.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: Yeah, addition fixing, I want to.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: I want to ruin someone's day by complete random wants
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Zach because I'm just like, all right, man four up
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: and you lose, right, and it's just and I hit
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: it and just the whole the crowd goes wild. How
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: like that is such an awesome feeling. It doesn't happen
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: in Zach. It's not just because it would be against Zach.
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: But the number one unique on Uniques ranking right now
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: is a Lyra Martin Gelle.
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: For seventy. I don't know it.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: Yeah, you just you never played around on unique ranking.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: I'd never heard of it, never heard of it.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: I like what Tom said in the chat. He said,
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: a gear So for those that don't know, the gear
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: is a new permanent type that's coming. It's played into
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: an expedition, so one lane or the other, and it
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: stays there until that expedition advances. So if you had
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: a gear played into a lane, right, it's there until
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: you advance in that one lane. And it either has
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: a diar roll trigger or booststye rolls in the same
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: way that the.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: Martingale does, or lets me roll more.
- 1:19:09Speaker 5: Yeah, in any of those three things, because that lets you,
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: particularly if it's on a gear, you could put it
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: on in a lane that you're not intending on, like
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: winning and basically have a third permanent slot to fix
- 1:19:23Speaker 5: your dice until you're ready. They are permanent, yep. So
- 1:19:33Speaker 5: any uniques that you have that that care about having
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: a permanent in play count for gears so far as
- 1:19:40Speaker 5: we know. I'm pretty sure the one that we were
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: shown in the preview their permanence, but not landmarks.
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: Thanks Tom.
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: So if it says you must have one or more landmark,
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: not so much one or more permanent.
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: Though, good to go.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I mean, that's all I want. I like,
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: that's all I just, I just I'm just asking you
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: to change your entire algorithm and little things, you know,
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: the little it said wishes, I didn't think they'd come true, y'all.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Was like, y'all went with like very like very like
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: small like, oh, these are all kind of possible. And
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, I read that completely differently than everybody else.
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: Well, there's there's a reason that I don't ask Santa
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: for a yacht at Christmas.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Right, Like, I mean, don't ask, don't get, man, That's
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: all I'm saying, right Like, maybe if you ask, you get,
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: and now all of a sudden these things will come true.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: I do want to point out. I think it's kind
- 1:20:41Speaker 5: of neat that outside of Wookie uh coal, well not cool.
- 1:20:48Speaker 5: So Zach asked for additional bureaucrats, so additional support for
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: a theme that's already there. I asked for something that
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: kind of boils down to maybe like more robe of
- 1:21:00Speaker 5: robot synergies. Dexter asked for more sacrifice synergies. We sort
- 1:21:05Speaker 5: of basically said, Hey, this stuff that the game lets
- 1:21:08Speaker 5: us do is cool, we'd like more of it please.
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that's neat, Yeah, because like there could be like
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: the gear stuff isn't getting introduced right like as a
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: new concept. I do like when card games do that
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: when they introduce new concepts for the new sets. But
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: it's like, as far as in my mind, I'm picturing
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: this set one, two, three, four, you know, as all
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: like quote unquote one release, because they're not changing heroes,
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: there's nothing changing with that in my mind at least, right. Yeah,
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: obvious that could block that's of course, that's yeah, that's
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: kind of like how like I'm currently picturing it. I'm
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: waiting for that next hero set to see like the
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: quote unquote big gameplay changes or something. But there's obviously
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: could be introduced in the next you know, couple releases too,
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: So yeah, it'll be interesting.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah again, I'll ask for the very reasonable things.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: And I went the opposite to direction. I'm sorry, I
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: want to.
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: I want to.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: I want to add a wish to Bravos. I so
- 1:22:08Speaker 5: there's been they've hinted that.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: They make a fire cat, so these ship makes sense
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: fire dogs, fire dogs dog. I want to see. It's
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: got me sand is now.
- 1:22:21Speaker 5: I think that I would love one of the things
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: that's kind of like they've hinted it. Uh, they're going
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: to do something that nobody thinks about today, Like they're
- 1:22:29Speaker 5: adding some mechanic that's going to uh make us look
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: at things that we've never looked at up till now,
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: or that we kind of take for granted. And my
- 1:22:39Speaker 5: suspicion is that that is something to do with uh
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: the mana zone. And so what I would like is
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: if Bravos, because they already have a ton of cards
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: that ask them to either add a card at random
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: to their menizone or uh to like I have some
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: uniques that ask me to set to basically sacrifice one
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: and they have that one removal card also that you
- 1:23:06Speaker 5: you have to discard a mana to use. I'd like
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: to see some things that let you either trigger them
- 1:23:14Speaker 5: from the manizone, like quick actions that are some weird
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: like if I'm in the manazone, you can discard me
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: to do X cool thing, or cards that let me
- 1:23:27Speaker 5: bring things from my manizone back into my hand m
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: something like paying with that zone.
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: Some sort of recursion in that area.
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: We'll say that. It's like you're almost like, at least
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: for that faction, you're playing with a third zone of play, right,
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: you have your hand, you have your reserve, and then
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: you have your manozone. If that's the case, and that
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: like that's really powerful.
- 1:23:52Speaker 5: I feel like, I think if there's a faction that
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: deserves it, like we talked about earlier, they struggle so
- 1:23:58Speaker 5: much with drawing cards. Yeah, like that's their their biggest
- 1:24:03Speaker 5: weakness is the fact that they have a hard time
- 1:24:05Speaker 5: keeping their resources up. If they had some limited way
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: to pull the things that they're randomly dropping into their
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: manna with their ramp or basically like when I draw
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: my card that I need, like imagine you're a fire
- 1:24:23Speaker 5: you're uh, you're asadi, right, You're playing with all these big,
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: huge things in your deck, you draw a handful of
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: them you can't do anything with. You're gonna need it
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: late game, but you can't play it right now. You
- 1:24:34Speaker 5: drop it into MANA knowing that later you've got, you know,
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: some Explorer card that's gonna pull one of those back
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: and put it in your hand so they can play
- 1:24:43Speaker 5: it again.
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: That's an interesting idea too, because then you have to
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: make that a choice, like if that is the case, right,
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: you're making a choice about to one lower Mano zone
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: to get that card back, but also get the abilities
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: of that card that you put in there as like
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: a like I said, an untouchable play zone. At that point,
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: it's kind of been interesting.
- 1:25:01Speaker 5: Yeah, sorry, I just I saw something.
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: No, that's that's cool. I like it. I I've I've
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: always liked cards that kind of are card games that
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: do things like with either deck manipulation or discard manipulation
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: or you know, in this case it'd be manzone manipulation.
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: So I think that's kind of a unique. And even
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: with the one that you said, the exhausting the cards
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: in the reserve and you can't use them, that's I
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: like that.
