- 0:56Speaker 4: colored for five days.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Oh oh for five days.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Yeah, for five days. You're supposed to just like white.
- 1:00Speaker 4: And I'm like, you don't realize it as you don't
- 1:04Speaker 4: even know how much color you eat until you're in it.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 6: Yeah, sitting on the counter, Could you have spaghetti through
- 1:13Speaker 6: a straw?
- 1:14Speaker 5: No? I just had chicken.
- 1:20Speaker 2: That was really funny. People loved it.
- 1:22Speaker 4: By the way, I saw when Haley left that you
- 1:24Speaker 4: made her cute little to go breakfast burrito and wrote
- 1:27Speaker 4: their names on it. And I was like, whoa Becca
- 1:30Speaker 4: is being extra cute these days.
- 1:33Speaker 6: I yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 3: They they left like super early, Haley and Marla to
- 1:38Speaker 3: go to New York, and so I was like, oh,
- 1:40Speaker 3: do you want me to make you like a breakfast
- 1:42Speaker 3: burrito so you can just heat it up and ticket
- 1:44Speaker 3: And then I was like, oh, make Marlon wan too,
- 1:46Speaker 3: and so she posted it and Ali wrote me was like,
- 1:49Speaker 3: you're like domesticated.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Huh.
- 1:51Speaker 6: He's like, yeah, breakfast burrito.
- 1:54Speaker 3: It's simple. It's really simple. It's scramp soft, scrambled eggs soft.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Haley wanted have varty cheese, and then I did mozzarella
- 2:05Speaker 3: for a vari I don't really know. It's a little sharp,
- 2:09Speaker 3: Like I don't really like it. It's a little strong
- 2:10Speaker 3: for me. And then I put it in the burrito
- 2:14Speaker 3: that and just cheese an egg, yeah, just SGG and cheese,
- 2:18Speaker 3: and then I just like toasted it on the pan.
- 2:23Speaker 3: But they were both like this was the best, Like
- 2:26Speaker 3: Marlasa was life changing. She's like, what did you put
- 2:28Speaker 3: in there? So I guess I make really good So
- 2:32Speaker 3: it's a little bit about me.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Wow.
- 2:35Speaker 2: So yeah, if you ever.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Wanted to bring those in for a scrubbing in session,
- 2:38Speaker 1: you know, there'd be no complaints.
- 2:40Speaker 6: I would be so happy to do that if you
- 2:42Speaker 6: don't mind.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah, just egg and cheese. Correct, no protein? Let me,
- 2:46Speaker 2: I guess eggs are protein.
- 2:47Speaker 5: I'll just take the eggs. Maybe little turkey bacon in mine.
- 2:52Speaker 6: I could do that.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Turkey bacon chopped up in there.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but you have to have it with the tortilla.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Fine, okay, gluten free?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Did they have a gluten free do you like the cassava? Yes?
- 3:11Speaker 5: They have tons of gluten free ki.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Okay, okay, okay, Yeah, I would love to do that
- 3:16Speaker 3: for you'all. And y'all can let me know how if
- 3:18Speaker 3: they're really good or if they just tasted good, because.
- 3:20Speaker 6: It sounds like the way you put it on the.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Get a little browned, the fine that a breakfast brito.
- 3:30Speaker 5: They always put so many tricks.
- 3:32Speaker 4: And stuff in there, and it's like it doesn't you
- 3:34Speaker 4: know that I would enjoy a little potato in they're that.
- 3:39Speaker 5: A hash frown or just a thick potato like whatever.
- 3:43Speaker 5: But then they throw in the pico.
- 3:45Speaker 4: De gao and the green sauce graandmon like multiple cheeses
- 3:51Speaker 4: and like maybe some beans, maybe some rice.
- 3:54Speaker 5: I'm like, I don't need any of this.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I'm the same.
- 3:58Speaker 6: I don't need any of that.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Oh really shook right?
- 4:03Speaker 3: Well, I'll bring you all a simple ah add some additions,
- 4:06Speaker 3: but I'll keep it simple.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Dear Bonnie episode. So let's let's get to the listener.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Well, we've got a lot of response to the boudoir shoot.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Oh oh yeah, we still have to do that.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Like Alyssa, for example, says, listening to Tany talking about
- 4:19Speaker 1: giving Robbie a boudoir shoot as a wedding gifts and
- 4:22Speaker 1: have a few thoughts.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Do it.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It's something you'll treasure forever and look back on. It
- 4:26Speaker 1: did both my husband. I look back at it often
- 4:28Speaker 1: after a baby. It's such a beautiful reminder of how
- 4:30Speaker 1: amazing women's bodies are.
- 4:32Speaker 6: We just talked about that on Monday and.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Will forever bring back the emotions you had while doing it.
- 4:36Speaker 1: The modern woman energy is unmatched, and the emotions when
- 4:39Speaker 1: you gave it to Robbie. It's expensive, but spend the money.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Something you don't realize looking into it is the poses
- 4:46Speaker 1: and how it's not natural to pose in lingerie or
- 4:49Speaker 1: even nude. That's where a reputable photographer comes in. I
- 4:53Speaker 1: was hesitant to spend that much on it, but it's
- 4:54Speaker 1: one of the best things I've ever spent money on.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I would argue is the best investment made in our wedding. Whoa, Tanya.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I also ripped out journal entries of when I first
- 5:03Speaker 1: met my husband and put them in there with it.
- 5:05Speaker 1: He's a big swiftie, so I also wrote Taylor's lyrics
- 5:07Speaker 1: to Wildest Dreams in there. Needless to say, I'm a
- 5:10Speaker 1: big advocate for this. Paying someone to give you one
- 5:12Speaker 1: of the best and most fulfilling moments of your life
- 5:14Speaker 1: as a woman and as as soon to be wife,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you will not regret it. I am not rich. I
- 5:19Speaker 1: was literally a professional dog walker and saved up a
- 5:21Speaker 1: long time to do this. Love you guys a day
- 5:24Speaker 1: one scrubber, Alissa, it.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Sounds like you need to call them the professionals. I'm
- 5:28Speaker 2: feeling intimidated by that.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Let me tell you something.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I'm just let me tell you, have you ever tried
- 5:32Speaker 3: this one kidnap position?
- 5:35Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll just take all of Sabrina Carpenter's positions from
- 5:38Speaker 4: Taylor and just slap that on a photo.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Respectfully. Alyssa, I'm not one.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I do not judge anybody on what they want to
- 5:49Speaker 4: invest their money in.
- 5:51Speaker 5: You know what I mean.
- 5:51Speaker 4: If this was what you wanted and you feel strongly
- 5:55Speaker 4: about it, go all out and are all in for me.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I have so much faith in the world in Becatilly
- 6:04Speaker 4: as my photographer. I feel safe in your hands, I
- 6:08Speaker 4: feel gorgeous behind your lens, and there's nothing else I
- 6:14Speaker 4: need more than that. So why would I have a
- 6:18Speaker 4: stranger take a picture of me in a very vulnerable
- 6:21Speaker 4: state when one of my best friends will do it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Here's what I'm thinking, And I don't.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Want, I don't need.
- 6:27Speaker 4: I'm gonna like get white lingerie, maybe throw a pearl
- 6:30Speaker 4: necklace on and call it a day.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Like I'm not like changing into all.
- 6:33Speaker 4: These hoops and tricks and like crotchous panties and stuff.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we set a date.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I do the photos, and if we're like dying and
- 6:43Speaker 3: like laughing over them, and you still want to do
- 6:46Speaker 3: it a little more like elevated, then.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You do it. But like we do it, we do.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Like grision, right, because then we just go to like CBS,
- 6:57Speaker 4: yeah and print them. You're gonna help me find a
- 6:59Speaker 4: photo album on Etsy?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Uh huh? We need to do that fast though.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Oh really I think so, Etsy, do be taking time.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Do be taking time.
- 7:08Speaker 4: A lot of people love Etsy, let me tell you
- 7:10Speaker 4: he's great. Had a lot of Etsy recommendations.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Because it's it's fun to shop from people who make
- 7:16Speaker 3: it part on like a grand scale and not have
- 7:19Speaker 3: like amazing talents.
- 7:21Speaker 4: I know, and I realized I have had one bad
- 7:23Speaker 4: experience with Etsy, so too bad experiences with Etsy. So
- 7:27Speaker 4: it has thrown me off of my Etsy game and
- 7:29Speaker 4: I have not partaken in Etsy since. But I think
- 7:32Speaker 4: I might dip my toe back in.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I had a bad experience too.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I bought a coffee table but it had termites from Turkey.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Wow, termites from Turkey.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 3: But then Etsy, I just like reported because then I
- 7:45Speaker 3: went to I went to like messages a guy and
- 7:48Speaker 3: the page wasn't there anymore.
- 7:50Speaker 2: So he either blocked me.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I don't know what happened, but uh anyways, Etsy was like,
- 7:54Speaker 3: we're so sorry.
- 7:55Speaker 2: They refund and me gave me a credit.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Like all those things we bought, like soapholders on Etsy
- 8:00Speaker 4: and my first bathroom they were like the size of
- 8:06Speaker 4: like half of the palm of my They're like miniature.
- 8:08Speaker 5: They're like.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Your fault because the.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Measurement soap container that doesn't even hold a bar.
- 8:19Speaker 3: So Kanya, All I'm saying is, I know those measurements
- 8:23Speaker 3: were listed and one someone chose to ignore and just
- 8:26Speaker 3: went based off.
- 8:28Speaker 5: That was not my fault.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Okay, I'm just saying, you can't blame Etsy for a
- 8:32Speaker 3: user error.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Who is buying a bar of soapholder that can't even
- 8:37Speaker 4: hold a bar.
- 8:38Speaker 5: From who has mini soap?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Maybe it's for like a doll doll.
- 8:41Speaker 5: It must have been for a dollhouse. It was crazy.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:47Speaker 3: So we're gonna do a test shoot for the boudoir shoot.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Like with me, We're not a test shoot, but like
- 8:52Speaker 3: we're gonna I'm gonna put my best foot forward. You're
- 8:55Speaker 3: gonna put your best positions forward, and then we'll just
- 9:00Speaker 3: if we need to bring in how we'll see how
- 9:02Speaker 3: good I am.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Listen to Julie.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Julie says, I've never emailed in before, but given time
- 9:06Speaker 1: its predicament, I thought it was time. I may or
- 9:08Speaker 1: may not have given my husband the same gift. It's
- 9:10Speaker 1: totally worth it. Such a gift to yourself too. For me,
- 9:13Speaker 1: it was a big confidence building something called treasure best
- 9:15Speaker 1: ship in my life, same as Alyssa, but she says
- 9:17Speaker 1: the professional price was way too much. A twenty five
- 9:20Speaker 1: dollars camera tripod ring light went a long way. It
- 9:23Speaker 1: was so fun to have a modern woman playlist going,
- 9:25Speaker 1: just me and a clicker and the camera tripad posting
- 9:28Speaker 1: however I wanted. Because there were no witnesses, I researched
- 9:31Speaker 1: more high security picture book websites and found MPIs to
- 9:34Speaker 1: be the most recommended. It cost fifty two bucks, delivered
- 9:37Speaker 1: within two weeks, and I've not seen any sexy photo
- 9:39Speaker 1: of me on the internet yet. Have so much fun
- 9:43Speaker 1: with it, having your girls hype you up. It's great,
- 9:45Speaker 1: so she says.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Okay, So I was inundated with DMS about this last week.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Really yeah, And I want to say thank you for
- 9:53Speaker 4: the respect of not putting it in the Facebook group
- 9:55Speaker 4: because I don't want to spoil it for Robbie.
- 9:56Speaker 5: So everybody went straight to my DMS.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Listen, one name about our scrubbers.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yes, they love us, love They're gonna they're gonna spoiler.
- 10:03Speaker 3: There are girls girls. Yeah, yeah, I was.
- 10:06Speaker 4: I appreciated that, but I was inundated with d MS
- 10:09Speaker 4: about people that have done this same boudoir photo shoot
- 10:14Speaker 4: for their husbands.
- 10:15Speaker 5: It's very popular.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Well, so that was two different pieces of advice. One
- 10:20Speaker 3: was like high end, go for go photographer. The other
- 10:22Speaker 3: one was like, get a tripod on your phone and
- 10:25Speaker 3: we're doing it in between ya because I have some
- 10:27Speaker 3: nice cameras, nice cameras, and I know Angles knows the angles.
- 10:32Speaker 5: If there's something back at Tilly knows, it's angles.
- 10:35Speaker 2: And unfortunately no one knows my angles.
- 10:38Speaker 5: I'm willing to learn.
- 10:40Speaker 2: That's good. That's all I need is a willingness to learn.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Yeah, all right.
- 10:43Speaker 6: It's a quickie from Courtney.
- 10:44Speaker 1: She wants to know the name of the pasta, the
- 10:46Speaker 1: gluten free pasta that Tanya mentioned.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Oh yes, so my apologies. I am locked out of
- 10:53Speaker 4: Facebook for some reason again because I don't even know
- 10:57Speaker 4: why this time. However, I do have the name of
- 11:01Speaker 4: it and.
- 11:03Speaker 5: Stand by. It is called.
- 11:07Speaker 7: La Okay Sulla de Abruso is the brand? You spell
- 11:16Speaker 7: that r r U s t I c h E
- 11:20Speaker 7: l l A d okay? Oh yeah, the apostrophe a
- 11:26Speaker 7: b r u z z o abruzio and they use corn.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Okay, maybe you could just link it in your story, yes,
- 11:35Speaker 3: in your story.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I think that's an easier way for her for Courtney
- 11:39Speaker 2: to get the box.
- 11:41Speaker 3: You were fan that that wasn't a riveting segment of
- 11:45Speaker 3: this spelling out.
- 11:47Speaker 4: But I wanted to put it in the Facebook group,
- 11:50Speaker 4: but I'm locked out of my Facebook.
- 11:52Speaker 5: I asked Robbie.
- 11:52Speaker 4: I hit babe, can you put this in the Facebook
- 11:54Speaker 4: group so that they can see the thing?
- 11:55Speaker 2: And he was like, he's a top contributor, he can't
- 11:58Speaker 2: be just lobby and just sorry.
- 12:02Speaker 5: I don't know if I can because I have a
- 12:04Speaker 5: brand deal right now.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Or have Crystal do it on the scrubbing it. This
- 12:08Speaker 3: has really turned into a thing.
- 12:10Speaker 6: All right, Now we get onto some actual advice.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Actually, oh, let's take a break.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, you're so on top of that. Back
- 12:16Speaker 6: a good job.
- 12:33Speaker 2: All right, we're back.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Now it's time that we were reading advice from our scrubbers,
- 12:39Speaker 3: and now it's time to give our advice.
- 12:41Speaker 6: That's right, scrubbers.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Anonymous needs career advice. Hi Becatanya, marcro and Easton. I've
- 12:47Speaker 1: been at my current company for just over twelve years,
- 12:49Speaker 1: moving to a few different roles. I've now landed a
- 12:51Speaker 1: position where I love what I do. When the people
- 12:53Speaker 1: I work with and including my boss. The job's also
- 12:55Speaker 1: in the field. I got my degree in the cons
- 12:58Speaker 1: After twelve.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Years, I feel like I've towd here.
- 13:00Speaker 1: There isn't much of a ladder in terms of growth opportunities,
- 13:03Speaker 1: and there's very little chance to make much higher of
- 13:04Speaker 1: a salbary despite adding on in my workload. I've asked
- 13:07Speaker 1: for a raise in the past. I know that here
- 13:09Speaker 1: I am just another number, and sometimes I feel undervalued.
- 13:12Speaker 1: A former colleague reached out about an opening at her company.
- 13:15Speaker 1: The job is not anywhere near as exciting as mine,
- 13:17Speaker 1: but the pay could almost double my current salary, and
- 13:20Speaker 1: the benefits are big, including work from home days, four
- 13:23Speaker 1: weeks paid time off to start, incredible for a one
- 13:27Speaker 1: K match, and yearly bonus potential. I am drowning in
- 13:30Speaker 1: student loan debt while also hoping to get my own place.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I know this would help me immensely. I'm interviewing, but
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm struggling with the right choice. If they make me
- 13:37Speaker 1: an offer, do I give it my current role that
- 13:39Speaker 1: I'm great at, where I love what I do, but
- 13:43Speaker 1: there's no room for growth and I can barely make
- 13:44Speaker 1: ends meet. Or do I step out of my comfort
- 13:46Speaker 1: zone to something unknown that would provide a lot of
- 13:48Speaker 1: opportunities for me, but may not be as exciting I
- 13:50Speaker 1: am in my early thirties. I would love your advice
- 13:52Speaker 1: and love you all and the space that you've created.
- 13:56Speaker 5: This seems like a no brainer.
- 13:58Speaker 2: To I was going to say, you know what to do?
- 14:00Speaker 2: You just wanted you.
- 14:02Speaker 3: You needed the three of us to say tis time.
- 14:07Speaker 4: When you say no room for growth, that is that's
- 14:10Speaker 4: stop right there, and you've been there for twelve years.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I im plateaued, Yeah, it's time, girl.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You're about to step out.
- 14:19Speaker 3: You're about to get that PTO work from home.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Let me tell you what the double the salary.
- 14:25Speaker 4: You can maybe find something else that's gonna incite, excite
- 14:28Speaker 4: you creatively that you can now pay for.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Ye know where life begins outside of your Yeah, yeah,
- 14:35Speaker 2: let's go. Yeah, I'm excited. That got me like pumped
- 14:38Speaker 2: for you.
- 14:39Speaker 3: There's there's no part of me that says you have
- 14:42Speaker 3: anything to think about no h ott og o, that's right.
- 14:46Speaker 6: You're excited. You love the job, you're good at it.
- 14:48Speaker 5: There's literally not one percent of me that says you
- 14:51Speaker 5: should say.
- 14:52Speaker 6: What's the alternative.
- 14:53Speaker 1: You're gonna just keep making that salary till you're what
- 14:55Speaker 1: you're fifty years old?
- 14:56Speaker 6: Yeah, No, now's the time.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 6: I love the easy ones.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Allison, Hi, Beka, Tanya market Nastin First love you All.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I'm a day one scrubber. I've been listening. I've been
- 15:07Speaker 1: re listening to the pop from the beginning in between
- 15:09Speaker 1: new episode drops. You've given me so much hope and
- 15:12Speaker 1: have inspired me to be the modern woman I am today. Second,
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'm in a dating era and want to hear what
- 15:17Speaker 1: y'all think on this topic. I want to save sex
- 15:19Speaker 1: for a relationship and have always liked the idea of
- 15:21Speaker 1: waiting for marriage. But I also know that I may
- 15:23Speaker 1: change my mind once i'm inde a new relationship. Tanya, Becca,
- 15:27Speaker 1: when you were in your dating eras you set expectations
- 15:29Speaker 1: with the people you were dating about physical stuff, can
- 15:32Speaker 1: you talk about when and where you had these convos?
- 15:34Speaker 1: Was it while you were out to dinner? Was it
- 15:36Speaker 1: while you were already making out on the couch before that?
- 15:38Speaker 1: How many dates in What was your approach in terms
- 15:41Speaker 1: of getting the message across that you're still super attracted
- 15:43Speaker 1: to them. I've had conversations like this before that went okay,
- 15:47Speaker 1: But I'd love to hear how y'all went about it.
- 15:49Speaker 1: For reference. I'm almost twenty eight. I'm dating more seriously
- 15:52Speaker 1: now with marriage in mind and not.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Just for fun.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Well, I talked about it on national television.
- 15:57Speaker 6: Okay, that's an option.
- 15:58Speaker 2: So that was one way of going about it.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Yeah, you also put it in your dating profile, you know,
- 16:04Speaker 4: like on Hinge no sex before marriage.
- 16:06Speaker 5: Yeah, no, just gets it out there.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you could, but I think it's just
- 16:14Speaker 3: if things start. Well, you actually did kind of do
- 16:17Speaker 3: this while you were dating. Yeah, I'll let you touch
- 16:19Speaker 3: on this because I don't really Mine was like The
- 16:21Speaker 3: Bachelor and then Haley and I didn't wait. Yeah, we
- 16:26Speaker 3: were like said, we were in love in two weeks.
- 16:28Speaker 3: So it was quite quick. Everything happened very fast.
- 16:31Speaker 4: I I was, uh, I mean, is it celibate is
- 16:36Speaker 4: the word?
- 16:37Speaker 2: Yep?
- 16:37Speaker 4: Didn't have sex for four years because I decided that
- 16:42Speaker 4: I was like in this perpetual pattern of pain where
- 16:44Speaker 4: I was giving my body before I was getting the
- 16:46Speaker 4: commitment that I wanted, and so I made the decision
- 16:49Speaker 4: to not have sex outside of.
- 16:50Speaker 5: A committed relationship.
- 16:52Speaker 4: And it's very weird once you make that decision for yourself,
- 16:56Speaker 4: and you're so convicted in that decision, it really doesn't
- 17:01Speaker 4: become a weird thing like for somehow. It always came
- 17:04Speaker 4: up in conversation very early on. I only really remember
- 17:08Speaker 4: with Robbie previously with other guys too, Like I had
- 17:12Speaker 4: had the conversation very early, one date in or two
- 17:15Speaker 4: dates in, and it wasn't like I made it seem
- 17:19Speaker 4: like it was like a weird thing. I was just
- 17:21Speaker 4: I would just say, yeah, you know, I've chosen not
- 17:23Speaker 4: to have sex outside of a committed relationship. I was
- 17:27Speaker 4: hurting myself a lot, and I'm looking for commitment, and
- 17:31Speaker 4: so like it was, it just kind of came out
- 17:33Speaker 4: in conversation. It was never like a thing that I
- 17:35Speaker 4: presented as something weird or off putting. It was just
- 17:38Speaker 4: like a part of who I am and a decision
- 17:40Speaker 4: that I made. And if it deterred some If it
- 17:43Speaker 4: deterred some guys, I wouldn't know because they just dropped off.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 5: And screw them. I didn't didn't need them anyway, you know.
- 17:55Speaker 4: So if it deterred some guys, I'm sure, which I'm
- 17:57Speaker 4: sure it did, good riddance for me. But it didn't
- 18:00Speaker 4: deter the one that I'm ending up with Hu and
- 18:05Speaker 4: here we are today.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I always felt very confident in that decision. So
- 18:10Speaker 3: I think that's another thing. And like you were saying,
- 18:12Speaker 3: you're conviction about it. Like I think, when you have
- 18:14Speaker 3: confidence and a decision you're making for yourself, the conversation
- 18:18Speaker 3: becomes a little more. It happens naturally as you're like
- 18:23Speaker 3: getting to know someone and you're getting to like a
- 18:25Speaker 3: more physical stage because you're able to just be like, hey,
- 18:28Speaker 3: I really like you.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I'm attracted to you.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I don't want this to come across in any way
- 18:32Speaker 3: that that is in.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Involving my attraction towards you.
- 18:36Speaker 3: But I have been heard a lot from giving myself
- 18:40Speaker 3: prematurely and I don't I'm not doing that anymore. So
- 18:43Speaker 3: if that's a problem for you, I totally understand. But
- 18:45Speaker 3: that's that's where I'm at with that, and just be
- 18:47Speaker 3: like confident in it.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Because but it's funny, you say, because it's when it
- 18:50Speaker 4: is your decision, it comes across so different than if
- 18:52Speaker 4: it's something that you're doing because you think you're supposed
- 18:55Speaker 4: to be doing it or.
- 18:56Speaker 5: Somebody else wants you to be doing it. Oh, I
- 18:58Speaker 5: think it's what you should be doing.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Different, totally different on both ends, choosing not to and
- 19:04Speaker 3: choosing to do it right. It's like, if you have
- 19:06Speaker 3: the confidence in making that decision for your own self,
- 19:09Speaker 3: that that's the difference.
- 19:11Speaker 5: Yeah, agreed.
- 19:12Speaker 1: It's a great way to separate the uh yeah, the
- 19:16Speaker 1: hook the good ones. Yeah, the hookups from the because
- 19:18Speaker 1: my wife said this to me early on in our
- 19:20Speaker 1: relationship that I'm not looking to do that until until marriage.
- 19:23Speaker 1: And I said, Okay, that's that's fine with me, and
- 19:25Speaker 1: I didn't go anywhere, and that ended up not being
- 19:27Speaker 1: the case. We ended up making that decision together. But
- 19:31Speaker 1: I think it was valuable that you knew that I'm
- 19:33Speaker 1: not in this for that I'm not going anywhere, And
- 19:36Speaker 1: I think that's a good thing.
- 19:37Speaker 6: You find out who's legit this way.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Yeah, And I remember with Robert, it gave me so
- 19:43Speaker 3: much respect for him because he obviously was not a
- 19:47Speaker 3: virgin and he was so respectful and that decision. I
- 19:50Speaker 3: never felt like pressured or anything. And that's how that's
- 19:52Speaker 3: what I was gonna say. Like, you, when you're with
- 19:54Speaker 3: a good guy and someone who respects you, you orger
- 19:59Speaker 3: if you're with a good guy or girl, you will
- 20:01Speaker 3: feel that respect from someone.
- 20:03Speaker 5: Yeah. I felt the same way with Robbie.
- 20:05Speaker 4: I never felt like he was like trying to change
- 20:08Speaker 4: my mind or anything.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Torri has a question about how to talk to girls.
- 20:14Speaker 6: Hi, I'm Tory. I'm twenty years old. I've never been
- 20:16Speaker 6: in a relationship.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I've been out as a lesbian since i was sixteen,
- 20:19Speaker 1: but I've still never kissed a girl. I'm confident in
- 20:22Speaker 1: my sexuality, but I have no idea how to talk
- 20:24Speaker 1: to girls. When I do talk to someone I like,
- 20:26Speaker 1: they often turn out to be straight, which is tough
- 20:28Speaker 1: because I'm more attracted.
- 20:29Speaker 6: To feminine women.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Anyone who has listened to Haley Kyoko's curious or He'll
- 20:33Speaker 1: never love you know It's how difficult it can be
- 20:35Speaker 1: navigating feelings for more feminine or straight looking and quotes
- 20:38Speaker 1: women you never know if they're gay or just playing
- 20:40Speaker 1: with you. I'm also very shy, which stems from a
- 20:43Speaker 1: physical disability. I have a form of muscular dystrophy, meaning
- 20:46Speaker 1: I can only walk short distances before getting tired, and
- 20:49Speaker 1: I also have breathing issues. I've used a BiPAP machine
- 20:53Speaker 1: at night since I was four. I had scoliosis or
- 20:55Speaker 1: a back brace for eight years, had surgery for it.
- 20:57Speaker 1: At school and longer routings, they use a wheelchair, and
- 21:00Speaker 1: I still sometimes use one now. Although I've lived with
- 21:02Speaker 1: these challenges my whole life, I've always felt a bit
- 21:04Speaker 1: of an outcast, especially in dating. I worry people might
- 21:07Speaker 1: judge me or not take me seriously, even though no
- 21:09Speaker 1: one has ever made me feel that way directly. Because
- 21:11Speaker 1: of these insecurities, I feel like I lack the confidence
- 21:14Speaker 1: to talk to girls, and I don't know how to
- 21:15Speaker 1: start conversations with someone I'm interested in. I worry about
- 21:18Speaker 1: coming off as the weird, awkward, disabled girl or making
- 21:20Speaker 1: anyone uncomfortable. Because I'm attracted to straight looking women. I'm
- 21:23Speaker 1: also a huge people pleaser, which doesn't help. Whenever I
- 21:26Speaker 1: try to talk to a girl I like, I freeze
- 21:28Speaker 1: up or find out they're straight. It's hard and it's
- 21:30Speaker 1: a somewhat discouraging cycle. I love some advice, I would say, Torri.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I would say that sometimes.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Like I never went through this, especially dating women, because
- 21:45Speaker 3: I met Haley and that was very instant, and that's
- 21:48Speaker 3: the only woman I've date, Like, I haven't had to
- 21:52Speaker 3: write myself out there I literally don't know how I
- 21:55Speaker 3: would date, like.
- 21:56Speaker 5: I know, I think I don't even know how to
- 21:58Speaker 5: answer this question. I would have no idea.
- 22:01Speaker 3: But I also think it's this it would be the
- 22:03Speaker 3: same as if, like.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Yeah, like dating up, like hitting on a guy and
- 22:08Speaker 4: realizing he's married, right yeah, or in a relationship right,
- 22:12Speaker 4: So it's a little different.
- 22:13Speaker 3: It's a little different, but it's it's basically they're not
- 22:15Speaker 3: available to you, correct emotionally, regardless of what the reason
- 22:20Speaker 3: is for it. So I wouldn't be embarrassed by finding
- 22:23Speaker 3: out that someone's straight. And I think the only way
- 22:26Speaker 3: that you keep finding someone is by putting yourself out there.
- 22:30Speaker 3: So like when you put yourself in a situation to
- 22:32Speaker 3: meet people, that's how you're going to meet someone. And
- 22:35Speaker 3: sometimes it might be easier to talk to someone on
- 22:37Speaker 3: like a dating app where you're getting to know them
- 22:39Speaker 3: and you can especially if you're setting your like settings
- 22:43Speaker 3: to women, yeah too like women instead of that way
- 22:48Speaker 3: you don't have to question if they're into girls.
- 22:50Speaker 5: So the girls, I feel like she's talking more like
- 22:52Speaker 5: in real life.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think in real life, you just shoot your shot,
- 22:55Speaker 3: just like a guy like shoots a shot with a girl.
- 22:58Speaker 3: And she's like if if a guy shoots a shot
- 23:00Speaker 3: with the feminine lesbian, and she's like, I'm not into guys,
- 23:04Speaker 3: it's he's still shot, you know, it's still like a
- 23:06Speaker 3: respectable action to make a move, just like we would
- 23:09Speaker 3: encourage a guy to do with a girl. So I
- 23:12Speaker 3: think you keep putting yourself out there and there's no like,
- 23:16Speaker 3: with the right person, how you flirt isn't going to.
- 23:20Speaker 5: You can say that again, what that was horrible flirt?
- 23:24Speaker 3: Well granted you did have people doing it for you
- 23:28Speaker 3: for a little bit, I.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Know, but like in real life, you can't have anybody else. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 4: straight raw dog you.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes you just got a raw dog the flirt and.
- 23:37Speaker 3: The right person the way you flirt, even if it's
- 23:41Speaker 3: not like the cool way or the the way like
- 23:45Speaker 3: how taun your thought, like the cool girl way of
- 23:47Speaker 3: doing it, the right person is going to like the
- 23:50Speaker 3: way that you approach things.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yeah, And I.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Think that I think if anything, being confident in who
- 23:56Speaker 3: you are with all those things that you listed are
- 23:59Speaker 3: just a part of you.
- 23:59Speaker 2: They're not they're not who you are as a whole.
- 24:02Speaker 3: And I think if anything, they make you, I'm like, Wow,
- 24:06Speaker 3: she's so strong and amazing.
- 24:08Speaker 2: That you have gone through life with.
- 24:11Speaker 3: All these health issues and physical disabilities and still put
- 24:16Speaker 3: yourself out there is so incredible. So, if anything, I
- 24:18Speaker 3: think that is such an attractive quality, and I hope
- 24:21Speaker 3: that you keep putting yourself out there. And like I said,
- 24:23Speaker 3: I think if you're trying to avoid the being disheartened
- 24:26Speaker 3: by someone being straight, go on the dating apps and
- 24:30Speaker 3: make sure you're only looking for woman like want something
- 24:32Speaker 3: to that.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I think that's pretty good advice actually, the dating apps,
- 24:36Speaker 1: so now you both know what's going in. Now you
- 24:37Speaker 1: can just focus on the connection you make or won't make,
- 24:40Speaker 1: but that you don't have to worry about that element
- 24:43Speaker 1: of it.
- 24:43Speaker 6: It removes it completely.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I agree.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it kind of takes away the not knowing and
- 24:48Speaker 3: then the fear of being rejected simply based on sexual sexuality.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:56Speaker 1: All right, I think we should take a break because
- 24:57Speaker 1: we have a light one and a heavier one coming up.
- 25:21Speaker 2: All right, we are back with two more.
- 25:25Speaker 1: All right, First the light one from page. Hey friends,
- 25:29Speaker 1: your podcast is saving me during the middle of the
- 25:31Speaker 1: wakings of my newborns by keeping me awake and entertained.
- 25:34Speaker 6: Bravo. Page We salute you and what you've gone through.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I don't know if you're Amanda Stanton or but anyway, Tanya,
- 25:43Speaker 1: in episode thirty, you talk about a guy using a
- 25:45Speaker 1: straw being a deal breaker.
- 25:46Speaker 6: Because Robbie use a straw, Why was it a deal breaker?
- 25:51Speaker 4: Did you ever watched a guy drink an alcoholic beverage
- 25:56Speaker 4: through a straw?
- 25:57Speaker 6: He's still a deal breaker, she gets worked out about.
- 26:00Speaker 2: But only uh wait, but only an alcoholic beverage.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yes, So, like Robbie drinks the straw out of his
- 26:06Speaker 4: like you know cup that he takes around town Stanley
- 26:09Speaker 4: if you will, sure, that's fine. But if he were
- 26:13Speaker 4: to be slurping down.
- 26:14Speaker 2: His his vodka soda?
- 26:16Speaker 5: Yeah, or what's the other one, like the.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Skinny margarita? Anything fashion? An old man?
- 26:23Speaker 5: If he's slurping that through a straw, he.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Is getting the boot that night mobile, so he's kind
- 26:28Speaker 1: of chasing it with his mouth.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Okay, but does anyone drink an old fashion with a straw?
- 26:37Speaker 3: I've never seen anyone.
- 26:38Speaker 4: I've never seen anyone drinking with a straw either, But
- 26:40Speaker 4: a vodka sodada with a straw so much better.
- 26:45Speaker 2: But margarita, because you have the salt.
- 26:47Speaker 3: You can't have a strop Oh my gosh. Really, only
- 26:49Speaker 3: vodka or tequila soda is okay.
- 26:52Speaker 2: With the straw.
- 26:52Speaker 4: But to be honest, if Robbie drink anything from a straw,
- 26:54Speaker 4: I'm sure I'd be like, OK.
- 26:57Speaker 5: Just goes to show you can't do the wrong thing
- 26:58Speaker 5: with the right person.
- 26:59Speaker 2: That's oh, that's so true.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Melissa Dear Tanya beca marcron Easton. First off,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I want to stand a huge fan of Day One Scrubber.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I love the episodes and it's just the four of
- 27:10Speaker 1: you laughing together. It's like I'm catching up with my friends.
- 27:13Speaker 1: My now fiance, Brandon and I met November twenty nineteen
- 27:16Speaker 1: and we got engaged in September twenty four. I was
- 27:18Speaker 1: single forever before meeting my fiance, and we always say
- 27:21Speaker 1: there was an invisible string tying us together and that
- 27:23Speaker 1: we met it exactly the right time. We planned a
- 27:26Speaker 1: wedding for September of twenty five. We secured a beautiful
- 27:29Speaker 1: venue just outside of Semecula. Sadly, we just had to
- 27:32Speaker 1: cancel it because we lost our home in Altadena due
- 27:35Speaker 1: to the Eaton fire. We lived with my ninety three
- 27:38Speaker 1: year old Japanese grandfather who had been in his home
- 27:40Speaker 1: for sixty eight years. We are fortunately all safe, even Grandpa,
- 27:45Speaker 1: but we lost everything, my car, all our photos, personal items, documents,
- 27:49Speaker 1: my grandmother's urn who passed away in twenty twenty. It
- 27:52Speaker 1: is devastating not only for us, but for our beautiful
- 27:55Speaker 1: community of Altadena and all those who.
- 27:57Speaker 6: Were displaced because of the fires.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I'm not necess sssarily looking for this to be public
- 28:01Speaker 1: or gather sympathy, because we are fortunate to have a
- 28:03Speaker 1: great community surrounding us. Tanya, I saw your video of
- 28:07Speaker 1: your bride's maid surprising you, and it reminded me of
- 28:09Speaker 1: my best friends, who, the day after losing our home,
- 28:11Speaker 1: surprised me and my fiance with brand new clothes, comfort snacks,
- 28:15Speaker 1: and replaced some of the things we lost in the fire.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I cried uncontrollably over a puffer jacket they replaced. I
- 28:21Speaker 1: just wanted you all to know there are people who
- 28:23Speaker 1: appreciate what you all do. The morning of the fires,
- 28:26Speaker 1: I was out of town, so I didn't know what
- 28:28Speaker 1: I was coming home to. I listened to the Year
- 28:30Speaker 1: of the Nines that day. I was so excited to
- 28:32Speaker 1: be a twenty twenty five bride and that my date
- 28:35Speaker 1: was in the month of September, the ninth months Tanya.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You recently posted it within All the Wedding Planning US
- 28:41Speaker 1: twenty twenty five brides get to marry our best friend.
- 28:44Speaker 1: It was a great reminder that while my dream wedding
- 28:46Speaker 1: looks different, I still get to spend forever with my
- 28:48Speaker 1: number one teammate. Thank you for all you do and
- 28:51Speaker 1: the support you have given to the victims of this
- 28:53Speaker 1: horrible tragedy.
- 28:54Speaker 6: The fire may have.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Destroyed my home, but it also ignited my love for
- 28:58Speaker 1: this amazing community of Los.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Angle, Angelus.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Wishing you a true year of the Nines and an
- 29:03Speaker 1: amazing twenty twenty five.
- 29:04Speaker 6: Full of love. Melissa with a y m hy lsa.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Sad just I mean that just puts everything into perspective.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Wow.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Something that I like noticed a lot. I feel like
- 29:25Speaker 4: with people that lost their homes is this like crazy
- 29:29Speaker 4: positivity where I feel like I would sulk and I
- 29:31Speaker 4: would be so sad about the things that I lost,
- 29:34Speaker 4: and like I feel like if I put myself in
- 29:37Speaker 4: their shoes, like I don't think I would handle it,
- 29:39Speaker 4: you know. Like she's literally just writing us to like
- 29:41Speaker 4: I don't even know who say thank you, and like
- 29:44Speaker 4: not even ask for anything, and she just lost everything,
- 29:52Speaker 4: and I'm sad that you had to push back your wedding,
- 29:54Speaker 4: like it all just sucks.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's such a great like perspective shift
- 30:04Speaker 3: of thinking someone who lost everything and still being able
- 30:07Speaker 3: to find joy and getting to marry her best friend
- 30:11Speaker 3: even though it's not what she expected. And I truly
- 30:15Speaker 3: believe that what your wedding ends up being, Melissa, is
- 30:18Speaker 3: going to mean even more after this.
- 30:21Speaker 2: And I truly I think.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Reading that my heart like dropped and also was just
- 30:30Speaker 3: like expanded because I was like, what a testament to
- 30:34Speaker 3: the type of person she is and who she's surrounded by,
- 30:37Speaker 3: and like thinking about even just a puffer jacket, and like, how.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Are things are.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Valuable to us? And yet the thing that she mentioned
- 30:48Speaker 3: was people.
- 30:49Speaker 4: You know, you know what's better than nine year Melissa?
- 30:54Speaker 4: A ten year Wow, the year of the ten. I
- 30:58Speaker 4: don't have on the tip of my fingers what the
- 31:00Speaker 4: ten year means, but I know it's gonna be good.
- 31:03Speaker 2: It's gonna be really good.
- 31:04Speaker 5: It's gonna be really really good.
- 31:05Speaker 1: And there's that feeling that with your partner, you can
- 31:09Speaker 1: get through anything. Yeah, And you're finding that out now unfortunately,
- 31:13Speaker 1: But that's the feeling when you've got that person and
- 31:15Speaker 1: you're going to get married, that no matter what life
- 31:17Speaker 1: throws at us, we've got each other, no matter what.
- 31:19Speaker 6: And that's so comforting.
- 31:21Speaker 4: There really is like something I feel like that you
- 31:24Speaker 4: don't understand until like you're in a committed.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Relationship like that we're in.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Is that level of safety, you know, Like I totally agree,
- 31:35Speaker 4: Like I feel like anything that came our way, like
- 31:39Speaker 4: having Robbie by my side.
- 31:40Speaker 5: I could get through it.
