- 0:20Hey!
- 0:29There we go.
- 0:39We are the Mob Guys on KSEV Radio.
- 0:45My name is Craig Coglianese. He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 0:49I am full of Antonio's flying pizza from yesterday, which was a great it's great
- 0:54spot And you ordered like all of the appetizers.
- 0:58I think oh my gosh Just I don't know what it is.
- 1:02I go to a restaurant Well, you know, I don't often eat lunch because when I eat
- 1:06lunch, I fall asleep Yeah after lunch, right so I and that's not a good look
- 1:11probably so I I but I ordered like everything.
- 1:15First of all, I love Clams Aragonata.
- 1:19Right? I could eat those things all day and I ordered pizza and pasta and
- 1:24salad. Meatballs and salad. Meatballs.
- 1:27Some Muts. Yeah, it's great. Muts.
- 1:30You like when I said that? Yeah, I did.
- 1:32I like some Muts. I did and the mozzarella was very good for anyone that doesn't
- 1:35know what that was. Antonio's flying pizza is great, man.
- 1:37The only complaint I have, and I do have a complaint, is I didn't see any pizzas
- 1:41fly and I feel like maybe the flying people were not working.
- 1:46I don't know. Yeah, no, I think you back.
- 1:50So Craig and I and his lovely wife Boito, when yeah, we went
- 1:56to dinner last night. It was our first social outing, I guess.
- 2:02It was right as a show. Yes. Yeah, it's it's the last but no, but it was fun one
- 2:07time. No, But we went to Antonio's Flying Pizza, which is over on
- 2:13Hillcroft, just south of Westheimer, little plug for Antonio's.
- 2:19So I told you this, and I'm going to share it with our millions of listeners this
- 2:25morning, that Antonio had the pizzeria
- 2:31by my house in Brooklyn when I was a baby.
- 2:36He's 85 now. I've known him for 60 some odd years.
- 2:43And when we moved to Texas in 1968,
- 2:49Antonio moved the same year to Texas.
- 2:52We were like the first wave of New Yorkers.
- 2:56I was part of the early wave. I was a pioneer to Texas.
- 3:01And Texas really didn't become a cultural mecca until my family moved here.
- 3:06But but but my dad in the 70s used to go to
- 3:12Antonio's flying pizza all the time and they my dad and Antonio would sit there
- 3:17in jibber jabber in Italian and I've been going there ever since And
- 3:23so I so so I had to take you to that place It was nice of Antonio to
- 3:29follow you it was nice could like when we moved when I was a kid and we moved
- 3:33from Jersey to Indiana, nobody came.
- 3:36Nobody came. There was no New York that came with us, which was very sad.
- 3:39I've been to Indiana, so I understand that there's not a whole lot of people that
- 3:45are living there. No, there were not a whole lot of people there.
- 3:47But Antonio's Flying Pizza is incredible.
- 3:49The food was great, everything was great.
- 3:52It's just a joke that I'm making that I wish the pizza flew a little bit more.
- 3:55Yeah, but back then, they used to throw the pizza dough across the
- 4:01room. That's hilarious. Like literally across the room.
- 4:05They'd be like a guy standing by a table and they'd throw it all the way from the
- 4:08pizza oven to him like 15, 20 feet.
- 4:12And it was part of the floor. It was part of the show.
- 4:16But the neighborhoods have changed a lot.
- 4:19Obviously, I've been here since dirt.
- 4:22So I've been here a while. But the neighborhoods change, right?
- 4:27that they go through evolutions, right?
- 4:31And it's just, it's an interesting, but I had a good time.
- 4:34Then I came home in that stupid baseball game.
- 4:38It got both of us last night, which is kind of funny, because you were texting me
- 4:42to like 10 o 'clock with some topics, which is pretty normal.
- 4:45But the baseball game kept going, and I couldn't turn it off.
- 4:48You couldn't turn it off. I'm amazed with how it ended, by the way, because the
- 4:52Rays definitely seemed like they were not going to win.
- 4:55They definitely seemed like their offense was giving up.
- 4:56And then what was it like five straight hits without an out in the 11th 12th
- 5:01inning To go ahead and force one extra game and then they play tonight and who
- 5:04knows what happens So does that does that really change the ultimate outcome for
- 5:09you? How many people are watching the world series?
- 5:11I this is the first game I watch that up It wouldn't normally but as people know
- 5:16by now because of all the constant Yankee hats I am a Yankee fan and I remember
- 5:21the Red Sox coming all the way back from a 3 -0 to defeat the Yankees in 2004.
- 5:26So it's not impossible. It's just incredibly unlikely.
- 5:30The game tonight is in Tampa Bay.
- 5:32Yes. Right. So they could win tonight and make it at least look like, you know, I
- 5:37like I said, I haven't really watched right.
- 5:40And I was thinking Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, I don't, you know, they're down only 6 %
- 5:45ratings wise from last year, 11 .5 million people are watching on average, each
- 5:49world series. I'm kind of surprised, right?
- 5:52I guess that's sort of the myth of major markets, right?
- 5:54That if two, like no offense to Milwaukee, you know, but I don't really care.
- 5:59But, you know, who wants to be in Milwaukee?
- 6:04Well, it does say that just a couple years ago, 15 million people watched when it
- 6:07was the Dodgers and the Blue Jays, because you had one of the major market teams
- 6:10in there. So you know, I don't know.
- 6:14But yeah, we'll see what happens with it.
- 6:16Well, last year was Dodgers Blue Jays.
- 6:18So we'll see. Okay, I had a little politics this morning.
- 6:22Sure. Because, you know, it's no one's really talking about politics.
- 6:28But before I even get there, you were talking last night, as you always do in
- 6:34every conversation we have, about robots.
- 6:37I did bring up robots. Yeah, I don't even know what to tell you.
- 6:41But weirdly, I was scrolling through videos last
- 6:47night. First of all, it is incredibly ugly out there.
- 6:51The things people are saying to each other.
- 6:53Yeah, it is not good. And they're posting about each other.
- 6:56Yeah, they're saying. Just represents an animus that I just don't think
- 7:01is healthy for either party. And I'm going to be interested in that.
- 7:07Do you think it's new? Do you think this level of it is new?
- 7:10Or do you think it's always existed?
- 7:11No, I think it's always existed because if you look back and look at some of
- 7:15these races Because in the 1800s, people were shooting each other, the name of
- 7:20them were calling each other. I don't mean 1800, man.
- 7:23Let's do 1900s on. OK, well, I wasn't here in the early 1900s.
- 7:28I know. I know you were. So it's hard for me to evaluate.
- 7:32But it just seems. So let's forget when duels existed, and people were getting
- 7:36beat inside the White House chambers or whatever they were.
- 7:40Well, yeah, but when you read old newspaper articles, they were calling each
- 7:43other names, Dan. But it just, I don't know, it just strikes me as
- 7:49so angry in a
- 7:55way that leads to violence angry, right?
- 8:00And I've been doing lots of stories in Corpus Christi and there was like a,
- 8:06one guy was in another guy's face with a camera, a volunteer, and the volunteer
- 8:10hit his phone. I mean that became a big deal in Corpus Christi because it's like
- 8:14we can't intimidate people Right, you can't you can't attack people at a polling
- 8:19place. Look, I I may disagree But not me I do disagree with someone who votes
- 8:25for Democrats, right? But but at the same time I just it just
- 8:31seems so Angry. Yeah, I know the other way to say no it does It seems
- 8:37like the kind of thing and I was making a joke about this yesterday there's
- 8:40another Monty Python clip that I really liked that I didn't play yet.
- 8:43I did play the one about the woman where the guy's pretending he's a woman and
- 8:47the other guy's like you can't have a baby.
- 8:48But there's another one out there that says the only way to enjoy yourself
- 8:52politically is be on the far extreme and then hate everybody that's not you.
- 8:56And there's a lot of people that seem to do that and the funny part of the joke
- 8:59is you excuse the anger by pretending the people that you're mad at deserve it.
- 9:04And then it allows you to take out your anger on whatever else is going on in
- 9:07your life on this thing. Like I really do think there are people out there who
- 9:10you didn't get the raise you wanted at your job or you know Maybe your girlfriend
- 9:14cheated on you like something happened in your life that made you mad and instead
- 9:18of being mad at the thing That's hurting you you go scream about the political
- 9:22party That's opposite you and you're like now my anger is coming out and it's
- 9:25coming out to something that I think Deserves it and a lot of other people will
- 9:28echo it our Tiktok page which we do have one at Radio Craig C is still the
- 9:34handle of it but it's KSEV mornings with Craig Wayne.
- 9:37Why is it called that? Why is it called Wayne and the other guy?
- 9:41All of my social media handles were at Radio Craig C, and I made it before you
- 9:45and I became a show. And then I repurposed it to us, and it's only got like 20
- 9:51videos of us on it. One of them now has 6 ,000 views.
- 9:54Which is crazy because, yeah, it's crazy because the profile is like 50
- 9:59followers, but it's the one with the Talarico serendipitous audio where the woman
- 10:04like captured him saying something about how he's getting clipped and don't
- 10:07believe it. I'm going to do what I've been saying all along.
- 10:11And to your point, a tremendous amount of the comments are just angry.
- 10:15And I think you also said that you have comments on your Facebook page that you
- 10:20might want to read. Yeah, so I we had posted something where where I think I was
- 10:25Criticizing CNN because you know they were talking about Nicki Minaj's but and
- 10:30and is that really the closing argument?
- 10:32And I yeah, I you you share one of your robots Because apparently I gave you
- 10:38editorial access to my page You don't know what I was thinking but you know some
- 10:43guy goes I didn't know you were a Trump supporter And I said I'm a conservative
- 10:48Republican in my personal life, but I will investigate Republicans I voted for
- 10:54all Republicans because Democrats raised taxes spend money on stupid crap and
- 11:00teach people to be dependent on the government Trump is not on the ballot and I
- 11:04like America. Yeah, right. That seems good and then
- 11:10Somebody said pretty nasty things to me.
- 11:15And they also said nasty things about Trump, of course.
- 11:18Is that hour and a half, because I mentioned that he mentioned Nicki Minaj for
- 11:22like 30 seconds, and he spoke for an hour and a half.
- 11:24Someone wrote in that hour and a half did Trump talk about releasing the Epstein
- 11:29files. And then some guy named Bob Millard, if that's his real name, and I have
- 11:35no reason to doubt that it is. there was a time when exposed fraud, now he
- 11:40endorses fraud. Tables have turned.
- 11:44And so I am coming out today in support of fraud.
- 11:50I think I'm staking out a position that I believe as much fraud as humanly
- 11:55possible should occur to America.
- 11:58To be honest, it's good for your business.
- 12:00The more fraud, the more you then get the uncover.
- 12:02So you could actually support fraud because it keeps you working.
- 12:06You know what? I didn't think about it that way.
- 12:08Yeah, no, that's ridiculous. It's crazy the way that people behave.
- 12:12And it is also funny. I'll say this more after the break.
- 12:16When someone thinks you're on the same team as them politically, and then they
- 12:19find out you're not, and this can be in just your everyday life or maybe in
- 12:23Wayne's case, somebody on his social media page, they get so much angrier when
- 12:27they discover like, wait a minute, I thought you were one of us and you're one of
- 12:30that other side. And they've known you for years.
- 12:32They've liked you for years. Nothing about you changed.
- 12:35They just suddenly found out you're politically different in how you think yeah,
- 12:38they hate you and somebody else said I was in a cult.
- 12:41Yeah. Well, I mean I'm in a cult.
- 12:43Yeah, that's not so bad this cult is Alright, we'll take a break a lot more
- 12:48coming up. It's Craig and Wayne KSEV mornings the mob guys on the voice of Texas
- 12:52a SUV radio. This is the voice of Texas He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 12:57I am Craig Coglianese as we call ourselves the mob guys, which I enjoy a lot.
- 13:02And I was explaining yesterday partially as a reflection on who the actual
- 13:06mobsters are, which is politics, the politicians, but also because we're both
- 13:10from the East Coast and we're Italian, or originally.
- 13:13And we're stereotyping. And a lot of other stuff.
- 13:18I wanted to read through some of the comments on one of the TikToks that we have
- 13:21up right now on social media at Radio Craig C, which we'll probably try to
- 13:25change. I don't know how to actually change the handle, but it's Craig and Wayne,
- 13:29KSEV mornings, for the actual name of the thing.
- 13:32A lot of these comments are crazy.
- 13:33So here's one of the ones I thought was most interesting.
- 13:35A lot of people who hate Paxton, who love Talarico, they somehow
- 13:41find our videos. I don't think they follow our, I don't know what goes on here,
- 13:44but this guy goes, at least Talarico didn't cheat on his wife and let a kid
- 13:50bleeper get off with one day in jail and no sex offender list or get impeached by
- 13:56his own party.
- 13:58The reason I want to say something about this is it sounds unhinged and there's a
- 14:03lot of these comments where people are just saying crazy unhinged stuff and angry
- 14:07stuff and and cursing and yelling and the funny thing about it is this these
- 14:12people go home and think they're nice.
- 14:14They think they're like the kind nice party that votes for the people that do
- 14:18good things and and help each other and all that crap all that Kumbaya stuff,
- 14:22they say, and then they go on social media and violently attack, whether it's
- 14:27rhetoric or actual physical violence, the people they disagree with.
- 14:31To me, you can see which party is more radical, just by the way that they
- 14:35communicate. Yeah. And I mentioned the cult thing, like somebody accused me of
- 14:40being in the Trump cult. And look, I'm a pragmatic voter, I think.
- 14:45But I overlook, or I choose to overlook, stuff
- 14:51that Trump does that I don't like.
- 14:54Sure. Because at the end of the day, there are two choices, right?
- 15:00And they're wildly different directions for our country.
- 15:05And I get to the fork in the road, I know which way to go.
- 15:11It's not like I have to think about it, right?
- 15:14you say, well, maybe Tallahassee goes, you know, not that bad.
- 15:17If you look at voting records, and the things people say, you know, look,
- 15:23you could tell me now, you believe in two sexes, but when you believed in six
- 15:29before,
- 15:31just a couple of years ago, sure, I know you and I have a complete different
- 15:37cultural view of the world. And
- 15:42it's important, I mean, and people will say, well, you know, I've criticized the
- 15:47trans ads because I mean, I think it seems like that's what we got.
- 15:50We got trans, we got terrorists.
- 15:51But I understand because I feel very
- 15:57strongly about, look, I don't know the name of the biggest
- 16:02drag show person. Me neither. Somebody asked me just like stop me in the street
- 16:07and say, hey Wayne, you know how you doing?
- 16:10And said, you know, hey, who's your favorite drag queen?
- 16:12I would say, I don't have a clue.
- 16:14Right. Right. I've been to a drag show one story, Mardi Gras and Galveston.
- 16:19I've also been to one drag show in my life, WGN Radio, Made us go.
- 16:23Yeah. But even if I had been to four, right, I, it's, you know, as adults,
- 16:30I think people should be able to pretty much do what the hell they want.
- 16:32Sure. just me. But it's the kid thing and it's the sort of
- 16:38normalization of it that I have a problem with it.
- 16:43It's a very sliver of the population who likes to wear, what was the
- 16:49Monty Python thing? I like to wear women's clothing.
- 16:53I want to wear women's clothing because I am a woman.
- 16:55I want to wear women's clothing and hang around in bars or something like that.
- 16:58And then the guy also says he wants to have children.
- 16:59Yeah, exactly. So to me, it's a very
- 17:05clear distinction. And there are things that Ken
- 17:10Paxton has done that I disapprove of.
- 17:15But again, to me, the people that stay home in
- 17:21any election now, the people who stay home are just abdicating
- 17:27their responsibility. Yeah, I just believe that I believe Republicans.
- 17:31I'm told her like normally up about 400 ,000 Sure at this point down a hundred
- 17:37thousand right now. I heard last night.
- 17:39I mean that is scary And there is a real
- 17:45chance that Governor Abbott Would be in trouble if that's true, right?
- 17:51You hear you see those ads with Gina.
- 17:53He knows. Yeah, she's like, you know Like, I don't know, I'm just happy, I'm
- 17:58against income taxes, I don't believe that.
- 18:02I don't believe these people are against higher taxes, but if you think about it
- 18:07and then I'll shut up, it's, look at Harris County, that we literally,
- 18:13people are literally going to elect people who have doubled their budget in the
- 18:17last eight years, who have raised taxes 41%, and they're going to all win.
- 18:22Yeah, I know. And honestly, I was talking even more about Karla Wai yesterday,
- 18:27who's also probably going to win.
- 18:29I hope people vote for Mark Coward.
- 18:31I really hope they do, but I don't think they're going to, to the degree
- 18:35necessary to actually get him elected.
- 18:36And she's DUI after DUI person.
- 18:39But I do want to go back to something else you said about like holding your nose
- 18:42and voting for someone. I have long believed that if I'm to judge the
- 18:48personal character of the people I want to send to Washington, there's nobody I
- 18:53can send. Most of the people who run have something that they've done, some part
- 18:57of their life that I probably won't approve of.
- 19:00Honestly, if you look, like, this is the more Christian or Catholic way to
- 19:03describe it, I can't throw stones if I have a glass house.
- 19:07There's a lot of people in this life.
- 19:09Your neighbor has probably done something that if you find out about them, you
- 19:12might not like them as much. I know.
- 19:14I know. Whatever it is.
- 19:16I know. What's funny about that is like in politics, they go find that stuff.
- 19:20So the difference between me and Ken Paxton is anything he's ever done that's
- 19:25even remotely close to perceived as horrible has probably been heavily researched
- 19:29and put out there into the world.
- 19:31And so I usually dismiss a decent amount of that stuff if I think it's not
- 19:37relevant at all to doing the job of being a politician.
- 19:39And I care much more about what you do in the role you have in
- 19:45politics. And Talarico has continued to represent things I don't believe in.
- 19:49So when I choose who to vote for, I vote for the person who, as you said, does
- 19:53what I want, but also represents the things that I believe, at least in the job
- 19:58he's doing. Does he represent them in his own life?
- 20:01Maybe not, probably not. In this case with Paxton, there's a few no's that I can
- 20:05think of there. But that to me has always been a silly bar for politicians.
- 20:11Now, granted, there's exceptions.
- 20:12I'm not going to vote for somebody who is at one time like murdering someone
- 20:14else. I think if that comes out, you're like, all right, that's probably not
- 20:18good. And there's things like it where you say to yourself, all right, in this
- 20:21situation, I might decide this is too far.
- 20:24And I'll say one last thing about Paxton too, and then I'll also shut up.
- 20:27The thing about the guy who only tried to spend one day in jail, everyone
- 20:32misunderstands and purposefully misuses that story because the victim did not
- 20:38want to testify again. And when Ken Paxton is bringing a case about sexual
- 20:43assault and the victim says, I don't want to go back in a courtroom and retestify
- 20:47to what happened to me, you don't have the same case you had when she testified
- 20:52the first time. So if she has to come back in, if she has to talk about something
- 20:55and she doesn't want to do it, you have a very different challenge in how you
- 21:01hold someone responsible. That is not Paxton's fault.
- 21:04And to be honest, I'm actually kind of glad that no one tried to pressure her to
- 21:07go into a courtroom she didn't want to be in again.
- 21:10Hey, look, if Paxton goes down, it's going to be Republicans fault that I'll
- 21:13explain on the other side. Okay, there you go.
- 21:14That's great. Wayne Dolcefino will tell us all how it's our fault if Paxton
- 21:18loses in the Senate race, which feels more and more like it's possible.
- 21:23Hopefully not likely, but possible.
- 21:24Quick break a lot more KSEV mornings the mob guys on the voice of Texas KSEV
- 21:30radio The voice of Texas. He is Wayne Dolcefino.
- 21:34I am Craig Coglianese. He will tell us why Ken Paxton losing in the
- 21:40Senate race will be our fault will be conservatives fault if it happens But first
- 21:44we'll go to a phone call Wayne if you want and then you can tell us why it's all
- 21:48why we're to blame George and Tom Ball.
- 21:50What do you want to say about the election?
- 21:52Hey, thank you. I think it's a very good point that you brought up earlier when
- 21:57you were talking about the transgender issues and
- 22:01things like this, which highlights the following.
- 22:07The family court judge race is one of the most critical races that you can have
- 22:13in Harris County. And the reason why is because it has so much broad impact on
- 22:18society. For example, children suddenly deciding with their chief teacher's input
- 22:24that they want to become the opposite gender or one of the other
- 22:29four that James Callerena claims to say.
- 22:34Well done. And that can be very
- 22:39influential. You know, just a whole invasion of
- 22:47The propaganda but left this problem.
- 22:49I don't want to say leftist because I am one but the Hold I want you to better
- 22:54define that you've said that more than what what do you mean?
- 22:57You are one give me give me more.
- 22:59No, I first of all, I've been a government employee my In my entire life and so I
- 23:04wasn't sure most of my education as a youth was in in
- 23:09came from socialist organizations,
- 23:16community action things. And honestly, I've never been educated
- 23:22and I'll shoot you an email on where I went to after school program.
- 23:27To be honest, George, you don't sound crazy.
- 23:29You and I might disagree, but you don't sound insane.
- 23:32So I don't, I don't consider one of the crazy leftists.
- 23:34is not judged.
- 23:36I've actually got documents that say I am crazy.
- 23:41Fair enough. But what I'm going to, but what I will say to you is I had a chat
- 23:47with a Rose Cardenas who's the Republican candidate for a
- 23:53judgeship for a 280 family court.
- 23:56I sent you her contact information.
- 23:58I encouraged her to call KSEV and that's pretty much all they can do To
- 24:03try to get her message out because sure, you know, a lot of the judge races are
- 24:08very low budget Races. Yes, and they don't take advantage of the airwaves
- 24:14like they should but anyway I just wanted to say that no the family court races
- 24:19is so critical It's probably more critical than the Harris County
- 24:25judge positions because yeah I can afford to pay a couple you know I'm not that I
- 24:30can afford I don't prefer to pay more property taxes but I definitely don't
- 24:34prefer a child being taken from the parent and getting mutilated.
- 24:40Yeah sure. I just wanted to point that out.
- 24:43Rose Cardenas. Rose Cardenas. Yeah,
- 24:48Judge District 280. Okay cool. In Harris County.
- 24:53Yeah that's the protractor word.
- 24:54Okay, thank you very much. Thank you very much, George.
- 24:56That's the protective order court, which is being abused both by illegals,
- 25:02making allegations against their husbands so that they can get a special visa to
- 25:07stay in the country. You can go in there and I, as a parent, could say the
- 25:13other parent did something and they issue like these protective orders, like
- 25:18these lifetime bans keeping you away from your kids just because your spouse and
- 25:22maybe legitimately said something but sometimes not.
- 25:25I could use those false allegations.
- 25:28We do a lot of work on family stuff here at Dolce -Fino Media and
- 25:33he's absolutely right. These people get to the bottoms of the ballots with all
- 25:38the judges, races and all these other jobs and they say like, you know, who
- 25:42cares, right? I don't even know these people.
- 25:44And they don't, but they should.
- 25:47And I think one of the mistakes of the parties, the Republican Party,
- 25:53I don't know much about how the Democratic Party works, but that there's not a
- 25:57lot of money spent. You know, we're talking about all this outside, you know, all
- 26:00this money, Elon Musk money, whatever, left wing money from California.
- 26:05But the races that really make a difference come from the ground up.
- 26:10Sure. They do. And it's a few votes probably that actually wins those races, like
- 26:15you and George are saying that some of those races are so close and so little
- 26:19that it's a little bit to get maybe we'll try to talk to Rose in the next couple
- 26:22days if we have her contact information.
- 26:24Sure. By the way I talked to Mays last night we were texting back and forth Mays
- 26:29Middleton and he's gonna try to squeeze in a phone call to us I gave him the
- 26:33number but he was talking about how great it was to be out and I think it was
- 26:37Lubbock with Trump I think Trump was in Lubbock I'm not exactly sure.
- 26:41I think so yeah. And just how great it was to see all these cars lining the road
- 26:46and all these people out, it sort of makes you feel good because you see what's
- 26:52happening in the big cities, like Houston and Dallas and San Antonio.
- 26:58You sometimes say, where are all the people that think like me?
- 27:03Yeah. Right? And then you get to see them out.
- 27:06I live in the Heights and I have an American flag hanging outside my place.
- 27:12and you know, but you see a whole bunch of places that there are rainbow flags
- 27:16instead. I mean, I'm not to whatever, but not to disparage anyone, but I, that's
- 27:22the, oh, when I see that I say, well, gay people must live there.
- 27:26I don't, I don't really know. That's not.
- 27:29I don't even think that's true, by the way.
- 27:31I think that a lot of people who throw those flags out now are just Democrats
- 27:34that want to, I think, start a fight that they think they're going to make that I
- 27:38don't care about. I also don't care.
- 27:39You were telling us that if Republicans or if Ken Paxton loses, it's Republicans
- 27:44fault. Yeah, I think the impeachment.
- 27:47I got this whole move by what I call center, left of center
- 27:53Republicans to go after Ken Paxton in the impeachment when
- 27:59they did not, in my view, have the goods, right?
- 28:03But you could surmise and suspect all day long, and I'm not defending Kim
- 28:09Paxton in that regard. I'm just saying it was the splintering of the Republican
- 28:14Party. It led to all kinds of fights over, you know, whether we have closed
- 28:20primaries or open primaries. It's led to all kinds of internal schisms within the
- 28:26Republican Party. It's why you had the Paxton -Cornyn thing, I think, in the
- 28:30first place. It's sort of a you now see the former House Speaker Dade Phelan
- 28:35who was you know The speaker then going on CNN now is like a commentator,
- 28:40right? Because he says nasty things about Ken Paxton Sure, it's gonna be the
- 28:45Republican infighting that I've always thought was not a smart play
- 28:51And they then when there was a house speaker race last time between Burroughs and
- 28:56cook There was anyone that voted for Burrows was a traitor even though there
- 29:01were reasons that people wanted boroughs not cook It just it's a Republican
- 29:07Civil War in this state that will be the cause of our defeat Yeah, I
- 29:13think you're onto something very very important and actually whenever I've looked
- 29:18into the impeachment itself I always come back with the same question because I
- 29:22wasn't living in Texas at the time that it first started why did they choose to
- 29:26move when they did? From what I understand, they had some whistleblowers that had
- 29:30come forward after reporting something to the FBI, and they had what looked like
- 29:34an improper relationship with a donor and maybe some things that were being done,
- 29:38but they didn't really have prevent it.
- 29:40Honestly, when the whole thing plays out in the Senate and he gets acquitted,
- 29:43most people, rational people who watch that, and you can go back and see it, they
- 29:47come away with the same understanding, like, yeah, he doesn't seem guilty of
- 29:49anything, or at least you're not proving he's guilty of anything.
- 29:52I think it's more that to me right that you know is some it was some of the
- 29:57conduct Suspect I think a fair observer would say yeah,
- 30:02but but again it was Republicans Who really allowed the impeachment
- 30:08to happen. Sure. And look, we all hear stories about politicians,
- 30:13right? We know the ones that are, you know, squeaky clean and like, I like like
- 30:19Mayes Middleton. I don't think there's a crooked bone in his body.
- 30:23He seems like a squeaky clean guy.
- 30:25He's just a squeaky clean guy. And then you got a guy like Ken Paxton, right?
- 30:29Who doesn't seem like a squeaky clean guy.
- 30:32Who made some judgments that I would have made, right?
- 30:34especially if I was in public office.
- 30:36But, but, but I want the guy who's going to vote with me.
- 30:41Yeah. I think it's even more than that.
- 30:44And I don't mean to compare you to Ken Paxton, but I'll do it for a second.
- 30:48You are someone from afar that someone could judge if they chose to.
- 30:52Like there's enough things out there that have been said about you or or people
- 30:56who've come after you that in some way there's there's a little bit of blood on
- 30:59the canvas. The same is true for Paxton, but he's one of those people who was
- 31:03fighting the thing that not many people fight, kind of like Trump.
- 31:07And so even if some of the things about Ken Paxton wind up being accurate and
- 31:12aren't just manufactured to attack him, part of the reason people go so hard at
- 31:16these individuals and people like Ken or people like President Trump is that
- 31:20they're actually fighting the system for real.
- 31:23And I think, again, to go back to an example of you, one of the reasons that
- 31:26people have come after you that you've been thrown in jail and stuff, or whatever
- 31:29has happened, I think I've been arrested at least a few times.
- 31:32Most of it completely crap. It's because people are trying to hurt you, because
- 31:36you're hurting the system that they want to succeed and you actually, I don't
- 31:41know if I should do this. I'll just do a real quick version because it's not my
- 31:44story. It's yours. You told my wife last night about something that's going on,
- 31:47where the whole way that some company is going to make a bunch of money is to
- 31:52call you off. Like Wayne has to stop.
- 31:56And if things happen and people wind up getting like payments on lawsuits and
- 32:00whatnot. And I kind of find that impressive and amazing that like you alone are
- 32:05this force that people are so terrified of.
- 32:08And I think Ken Paxton is cut from a similar cloth.
- 32:12Yeah, no, look, I think he's been a very aggressive attorney general in some
- 32:17areas, right? I have criticized him.
- 32:19I believe their open records division is like lost, right?
- 32:24I don't believe there's enough consumer fraud investigations because I think a
- 32:29lot of people are ripped off. We need an attorney general that fights
- 32:35aggressively for consumers. We use like a Marvin Zindler as an attorney general.
- 32:40That'd be nice. We just do. But having said that, he's done a lot of
- 32:46really good things as attorney general.
- 32:49And I say I don't need personally to judge
- 32:55someone's, you know, worst moments, right?
- 32:59I don't. I want someone who politically is in
- 33:05line with me. And that was my biggest problem with James Talarico,
- 33:11Beto O 'Rourke. I mean, you know, it'd be one thing if these were like
- 33:14conservative blue dog, East Texas, Sure old Democrats right running for governor.
- 33:20Yeah, you could say well, you know, we've had the same guy for a long time Let's
- 33:23do something else. I you could live with that But that's not what this is.
- 33:29These are people with fundamentally different visions And I think the
- 33:34fact that we're even talking about it is like if this is Texas Yeah, I know we
- 33:39really gonna elect a senator. That's like doesn't like oil and gas
- 33:44Really? Well, to your point, like a John Whitmire is more of the typical type of
- 33:50Democrat that seems to at least, and I've been surprised at this living here in
- 33:54Houston now for a little while, a lot of Republicans don't hate the guy.
- 33:57A lot of Republicans are like, ah, he's okay.
- 33:59He's fine. He's what we get. Republicans have to elect him.
- 34:01I know. So they usually say some version of he's the best we can do in a place
- 34:06like Houston. We're not going to get a real Republican elected, so why don't we
- 34:09get a John Whitmire? And that's not at all what Talarico is.
- 34:12that's not at all what Beto O 'Rourke was, they're far leftists.
- 34:16And they pretend for a few weeks that they're not, and then they go right back to
- 34:20being insane leftists when they get into office.
- 34:23So yeah, you're right. As far as Texas is concerned, it makes no sense.
- 34:27You can't hate one party so much that you elect someone who so doesn't represent
- 34:32you. I don't get it. All right.
- 34:34We got to take another break. We'll come back in a little bit.
- 34:36It's KSEV mornings, the Mob Guys on The Voice of Texas.
- 34:53All right, before we take a break, actually, we should talk about American
- 34:56medical plans. American medical plans is the place to go if you've dealt with
- 35:00anything that is the crap fest that is Obamacare.
- 35:03If you're on any version of it, Wayne, and you say to yourself, this is extreme,
- 35:08and it's about to get even worse.
- 35:09The prices are going to get even more the wrong way.
- 35:13Go to americanmedicalplans .com, call Scott Ferguson, and say, give me a better
- 35:17solution. Give me something that's cheaper.
- 35:20On average, he saves people 60 % on the health cost that they're paying if they
- 35:24go through Obamacare or anything other than that.
- 35:27And he'll walk you through all of it.
- 35:28He'll tell you, this is the option you have if you go through the government.
- 35:32This is the option you have if you choose for yourself.
- 35:36833 -500 -7526 is the phone number, 833 -500
- 35:41-7526 to call Scott Ferguson's American Medical Plans.
- 35:45What do you want to say about it?
- 35:47I just want to say that Obamacare is a crap show.
- 35:50It is. It just is. And American Medical Plans gives you an alternative, and I
- 35:56think a lot of people need to understand that there are alternatives to like just
- 36:00some government insurance, a one size fits all kind of insurance plan.
- 36:04plan when Scott can give you lots of options.
- 36:08Yeah, 25 years of experience, licensed, independent, 100 % no cost guidance,
- 36:12meaning he'll do a sit down conversation with you, he'll walk you through prices
- 36:16of all the plans, and you don't owe him anything for that.
- 36:18You have more knowledge now. Does he do car insurance?
- 36:22Because if he did, I would hire him because my insurance company is throwing
- 36:27me off because I have too many wrecks.
- 36:30Yeah, I don't think he does, but he probably knows a guy.
- 36:32I think we're going to have him on tomorrow, actually.
- 36:34Oh, we'll just ask him. We'll have him on tomorrow.
- 36:36We'll set up pure auto insurance with him.
- 36:38But honestly, you got to talk to this guy because really he'll set it up for you
- 36:41very easily. AmericanMedicalPlans .com.
- 36:44It is insurance chosen by you, not the government.
- 36:48KSEV radio, 700 a .m., the voice of Texas.
- 36:53He's Wayne Dolcefino. I am Craig Coglianese.
- 36:56Russell is choosing the music and we're rocking hard this morning, I think.
- 37:00There we go. The devil horns baby.
- 37:02The devil horns. The long horns.
- 37:05Let's go to Alan who called in about Cam Paxton.
- 37:08Alan, what do you want to say? Yes, good morning.
- 37:13I want to say something about Cam Paxton.
- 37:16I think I compare him to what President Trump went through, the
- 37:22impeachment, especially with the Rhino
- 37:27in Texas.
- 37:31If you go again to Green, people will come after you.
- 37:37Yes. The question is, do you have the courage to do it when you know that they're
- 37:42going to come after you? So I voted for Ken.
- 37:48His political vision is aligned with mine and with what
- 37:54President Trump want to do. We are on the curves of a booming economy
- 38:00if the system that the Trump cabinet want to do, which is
- 38:06bringing back the American, the American economy.
- 38:10Yeah, the American manufacturing.
- 38:12Yes,
- 38:15which is in line with what they call Hamilton economy.
- 38:21Many of his cabinet have mentioned so repeatedly about that, and most
- 38:27people just don't listen. Sure.
- 38:30No, I appreciate it, Alan. And I want to say something in response to something
- 38:34you said a second ago, because it is courage.
- 38:36And it's not courage to just step out and then get that first blow that people
- 38:41get, the first punch. I think the real courage is after you've been punched a lot
- 38:46and in some cases maybe taking some bruises to keep going and People like Ken
- 38:51Paxton did keep going they they took bruises.
- 38:53They took hits There's blood on the canvas as we were talking about before and
- 38:57then you keep doing it That shows the people that were punching you that it
- 39:01doesn't matter how many times you punch you get back up It's the Rocky Balboa a
- 39:05version of a way of winning a fight that I do admire from a lot of people Yes, he
- 39:11was the only one who sued the federal government in the 2020 election
- 39:17where the six states have a goal against their own election rule, you
- 39:22know, during the COVID. He was the only one.
- 39:27And that's take courage. It does.
- 39:30Yeah, absolutely. Thank you so much for the call.
- 39:33And we really do appreciate it.
- 39:35What do you want to say in response to that?
- 39:36I mean, he's absolutely correct.
- 39:38And that's why I say that it's not a close call for me.
- 39:43Right? It's not even a remotely close call for me.
- 39:46I do think, and I have said this to you, that I think Ken Paxton made a mistake
- 39:53by not addressing these things.
- 39:56I mean, you can't change the reality that it's sort of like, you know, 20 people
- 40:01are in a room and 19 people are talking about the same person.
- 40:04And the person just like doesn't respond The reality is it is an issue.
- 40:10And I think you have to, at least my recommendation to political people when they
- 40:15hire us is to say you've got to sometimes deal with this.
- 40:20Yeah. Early. And then you can say, well, I haven't asked that question a hundred
- 40:25times. The answer is still the same.
- 40:27I was innocent then, I'm innocent now, whatever.
- 40:29But the failure of the campaign,
- 40:35if it fails, is in part messaging.
- 40:39And how they brought him out to the public.
- 40:43Sure. Yeah. And unwillingness to attack some of the issues that he was being
- 40:48shot at from afar. Like, you needed to own your response to that stuff, and he
- 40:54never did. We've got to take a break.
- 40:55After the break, we'll play Mike Waltz audio.
- 40:57Mike Waltz is the US ambassador to the United Nations and he absolutely was not
- 41:03having it when a Cuban diplomat tried to go a certain road with him.
- 41:06So we'll get to that and a bunch more on the next hour of the Mob Guys KSEV
- 41:10radio, Voice of Texas.
