- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Trump's leadership.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm Christy nom the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 0:29Speaker 1: lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred thousand illegal
- 0:33Speaker 1: aliens have been arrested. If you are here illegally, your
- 0:37Speaker 1: next you will be fined nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and deported.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You will never return.
- 0:44Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 0:47Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 4: What made you say okay instead of opening, I want
- 1:03Speaker 4: to shop in new work. I want to shop and broken,
- 1:04Speaker 4: but it's gonna be What made you want to just
- 1:06Speaker 4: say I want to do franchises?
- 1:07Speaker 5: And have other people and I left this out.
- 1:09Speaker 6: I did own another location at that point, so I
- 1:13Speaker 6: owned two locations and I was working on three. But
- 1:16Speaker 6: I was like, I don't I can't handle it on
- 1:19Speaker 6: my own.
- 1:19Speaker 7: Why so why did you? Why did you call you?
- 1:22Speaker 6: I wanted to maintain some free time for my family,
- 1:26Speaker 6: for my leisure, and for work, so I didn't There's
- 1:29Speaker 6: a lot of business owners who just run around all
- 1:33Speaker 6: day long to multiple locations and then burn out at night.
- 1:37Speaker 6: But I always wanted to leave time for myself because
- 1:40Speaker 6: I felt like that's important and I didn't want the
- 1:42Speaker 6: business to overrun me. So I wanted to allow other
- 1:47Speaker 6: people to open. And I realized that in the United States,
- 1:51Speaker 6: you have to franchise. If you allow somebody else to
- 1:54Speaker 6: use your logo and your business name.
- 1:57Speaker 7: Can you talk about that? I just found that out.
- 1:58Speaker 4: So unless somebody else use it, unless it's a franchise.
- 2:03Speaker 5: And there's a lot of people who like license their method.
- 2:08Speaker 6: There's there's stores, but you actually cannot you're not supposed to,
- 2:13Speaker 6: and if you get caught, it's a it's a big fine.
- 2:16Speaker 6: You have to become a franchise if they are following
- 2:19Speaker 6: your trademarks.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Logos and name.
- 2:23Speaker 8: So your trademark is the Kika method, Kika.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Stretch Studios, the Kika method.
- 2:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 6: So I also franchise, I mean franchise trademarks, most of
- 2:36Speaker 6: the trademarks myself. I just sat in front of a
- 2:39Speaker 6: computer for hours until.
- 2:42Speaker 5: I figured it out.
- 2:44Speaker 4: And so so all right, so so so you look
- 2:47Speaker 4: at the consulting firms and what happened at that point.
- 2:50Speaker 6: So the first one that called me back the guy
- 2:53Speaker 6: Chris Connor out of Atlanta Franchise Marketing Systems, and he
- 2:59Speaker 6: pitched the whole content of working with me, like I
- 3:01Speaker 6: think this could work. I'll be on a flight tomorrow
- 3:04Speaker 6: and I'm like really, okay, mind you. He was the
- 3:08Speaker 6: only one that called me back. The other people called
- 3:12Speaker 6: me back like three days later.
- 3:13Speaker 5: I'm like not. And so he came.
- 3:16Speaker 6: He looked at my studio, he listened to the whole model,
- 3:19Speaker 6: and he's like, you could definitely do this. He helped franchise Massage,
- 3:23Speaker 6: Envy and a lot of other big franchises. So and
- 3:27Speaker 6: his price was also like lower than all of the
- 3:30Speaker 6: other franchise company fifteen thousand, okay, yeah, most of them
- 3:35Speaker 6: are twenty and up.
- 3:37Speaker 7: And what do you get put for that. Like he
- 3:39Speaker 7: sets it up.
- 3:40Speaker 6: He sets up the whole franchise model, the FDD.
- 3:43Speaker 7: All right, So okay, so he came and then he's
- 3:45Speaker 7: the one that set it up for you.
- 3:47Speaker 6: He's the one that pulled the resources out of me,
- 3:52Speaker 6: the procedures. I had the strategies, and he helped draft.
- 3:57Speaker 8: The whole that you said, the an FDD. What does
- 4:01Speaker 8: that stand for again?
- 4:01Speaker 5: Federal disclosure document And.
- 4:03Speaker 4: That's what you have to do in order to yes,
- 4:06Speaker 4: to have to open up a franchise, you have to
- 4:08Speaker 4: do the first thing I do is an FDD, right
- 4:11Speaker 4: disclosure document. Yes, and you do that. You do that
- 4:14Speaker 4: with the United States government. Yes, and each state has
- 4:17Speaker 4: its own it's.
- 4:19Speaker 6: The same FDD, but each state has its own laws
- 4:25Speaker 6: as far as submission. So like New York, you have
- 4:28Speaker 6: to submit your FDD. It has to be approved by
- 4:31Speaker 6: the state each year before you can sell a franchise.
- 4:35Speaker 6: New Jersey, I can just give you my FDD and
- 4:37Speaker 6: have you sign up on the spot. New York they
- 4:41Speaker 6: have to approve it each year.
- 4:43Speaker 7: New York's always the words and everything.
- 4:45Speaker 5: California same.
- 4:47Speaker 7: It seems so all right, So what's in the FDD?
- 4:50Speaker 6: So within the FDD, it's basically like the role book
- 4:53Speaker 6: for the franchise, like, this is what we're going to
- 4:56Speaker 6: do for you. This is your role as a franchisee.
- 4:59Speaker 5: This is my role.
- 5:00Speaker 6: It basically puts on the table every cost that you
- 5:03Speaker 6: could incur with a business like this. It discloses to
- 5:07Speaker 6: the franchisee everything that you would have to deal with
- 5:10Speaker 6: if they decided to join your organization, every possible element
- 5:14Speaker 6: of everything.
- 5:15Speaker 7: How long? Like how long is it?
- 5:17Speaker 8: So?
- 5:17Speaker 5: Mine is about three hundred pages?
- 5:20Speaker 7: Three hundred pages, yes, and that's where he helped you
- 5:23Speaker 7: write that.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Yeah, so he has a team of people that helped
- 5:25Speaker 5: put it all together.
- 5:26Speaker 7: So how do you all? Right?
- 5:27Speaker 4: So is it like a set template to say like
- 5:30Speaker 4: or like, how do you come up with three hundred
- 5:33Speaker 4: pages of items?
- 5:34Speaker 9: Or was you using that that when you find yourself
- 5:37Speaker 9: you had so much writing already built up?
- 5:40Speaker 5: I did so.
- 5:41Speaker 6: Within the FDD, so we do three weeks of training
- 5:44Speaker 6: for each of the franchises. So it lists how much
- 5:48Speaker 6: time is spent on this topic in training, like it
- 5:52Speaker 6: spells out the whole training by minutes, thirty minutes on this,
- 5:55Speaker 6: thirty minutes on that. It shows you the least possible
- 5:59Speaker 6: amount of money you could use to open in the highest,
- 6:02Speaker 6: so there's a range. It spells out liability of the
- 6:07Speaker 6: franchise or like what are we liable for?
- 6:10Speaker 5: What are we not liable for? So once the franchise.
- 6:16Speaker 8: Erness, what's up.
- 6:16Speaker 10: You ever walk into a small business and everything just

- 8:06Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 8:10Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 8:14Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas. Man of Venezuelan charged with
- 8:18Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 8:22Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 8:26Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the.
- 8:29Speaker 1: United States Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted
- 8:33Speaker 1: illegal border crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and over one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested.
- 8:41Speaker 1: If you are here illegally, your next you will be

- 8:48Speaker 2: Deported, you will never return.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 8:53Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Under President in Trump, America's laws, border and families will
- 9:03Speaker 1: be protected.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Reads it, they understand what they're getting themselves into, and
- 9:10Speaker 6: once they sign it, you can't say I didn't tell you.
- 9:13Speaker 5: You know this is going to happen.
- 9:15Speaker 4: So that the FDD actually is the instruction manual. Yes, yeah,
- 9:20Speaker 4: you don't have like another one on top of that.
- 9:22Speaker 8: We do.
- 9:23Speaker 4: So what's the other one you So there's a reason,
- 9:28Speaker 4: So now we know why you're the youngest One's all right,
- 9:33Speaker 4: So we got the FDD. That's pretty watch the whole
- 9:35Speaker 4: instruction manual. So what's on top of that.
- 9:36Speaker 6: So the FDD, right is so legally it allows you
- 9:39Speaker 6: to sell a business to someone, right, So that's the FDD.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Then there's an operations manual, So that's where all my strategies, concepts,
- 9:51Speaker 6: all of my material as far as like how to
- 9:53Speaker 6: find staff, it's in the operations manual. So the operations
- 9:58Speaker 6: Manual is what teaches them what to do. So that's
- 10:01Speaker 6: a whole nother document which came hand in hand with
- 10:04Speaker 6: the FDD.
- 10:05Speaker 9: And once they signed that document the FDD, they can't deviate.
- 10:09Speaker 8: From that operational agreement.
- 10:10Speaker 7: No, So how how many pages is the operation.
- 10:15Speaker 4: It's about two hundred, so it's five hundred together. Yes,
- 10:19Speaker 4: it's like loaded the rings. So okay, so how long
- 10:23Speaker 4: how long did it take you to put together.
- 10:25Speaker 7: All of that?
- 10:26Speaker 6: So, I mean they were prepared to put it together
- 10:31Speaker 6: within a month, but I needed more time, so it
- 10:35Speaker 6: took me about four months.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Okay, So you did you actually write it yourself or
- 10:39Speaker 4: you just dictated.
- 10:40Speaker 7: It to them?
- 10:40Speaker 5: Dictated it to them?
- 10:41Speaker 7: So what you ever suggested, Mike can do it them.
- 10:44Speaker 6: There's some things you don't want to do yourself. One
- 10:47Speaker 6: of those things is messed with the law.
- 10:49Speaker 5: So you really get a professional.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Get a professional and do your research because a lot
- 10:55Speaker 6: of people rip people off just to create that document.
- 10:58Speaker 6: So you have to do your research so you know
- 11:00Speaker 6: what you're getting into.
- 11:01Speaker 7: All right.
- 11:02Speaker 4: So now, okay, so you have the FDD done, yes,
- 11:05Speaker 4: and then you got approved.
- 11:07Speaker 7: It's he it take to get approved.
- 11:08Speaker 6: So like, once it was done, I could sell in
- 11:11Speaker 6: many states. Like, once it's done here you go kick it. Okay,
- 11:14Speaker 6: you want to open in New Jersey.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Great, but do they have to approve it?
- 11:17Speaker 5: No, unless you go to a state like New York California.
- 11:21Speaker 9: So you were in Montclair, right, the first one in
- 11:25Speaker 9: New Jersey Jersey imagery fortunately, right, So like to put
- 11:29Speaker 9: one in Brooklyn?
- 11:30Speaker 5: Now yes?
- 11:31Speaker 8: Different?
- 11:31Speaker 5: Right requires the state to approve it?
- 11:33Speaker 7: All right?
- 11:34Speaker 4: Okay, so you have the you have the fd D,
- 11:37Speaker 4: then you have the operational agreement. So now you're up
- 11:39Speaker 4: and running as far as you can. Now you can
- 11:42Speaker 4: have people buy your franchise. Right, that's only have to
- 11:45Speaker 4: battle because people have to actually buy your franchise. Yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 4: So what's the process for that? How did how did
- 11:51Speaker 4: you get the word out? How did you get people
- 11:53Speaker 4: interested in buying?
- 11:54Speaker 8: Like?
- 11:55Speaker 7: How did that? How was the first, the first person
- 11:57Speaker 7: that brought a franchise. How did that?
- 11:58Speaker 11: So?
- 11:59Speaker 6: I had so I owned a studio in Westfield, Montclair,
- 12:02Speaker 6: in Westfield, So in Westfield, I had a manager that
- 12:06Speaker 6: was so amazing. She was doing better than I could have.
- 12:11Speaker 6: And when you see talent like that on your staff,
- 12:14Speaker 6: you have to do something about it or else they'll leave,
- 12:17Speaker 6: They'll find another job. So I knew this position like.
- 12:20Speaker 6: She outgrew the position. So I talked to the company.
- 12:23Speaker 6: I spoke to you guys about and I was like,
- 12:26Speaker 6: how do I open up the first one?
- 12:28Speaker 5: How do I find people?
- 12:30Speaker 6: And they talked about a pizzeria that sold their first
- 12:33Speaker 6: one to their manager. They let their manager in, it
- 12:37Speaker 6: was already up and running. It would be great to
- 12:39Speaker 6: start with someone who knows the system. So I proposed
- 12:43Speaker 6: that offer to her and her husband, and she took it.
- 12:46Speaker 6: So actually she became the first franchise ee.
- 12:50Speaker 9: We have a slight franchise e story, like twelve years
- 12:54Speaker 9: ago we tried to get into a franchise Clostal I
- 12:58Speaker 9: said in an early episode.
- 12:59Speaker 8: But it was like, Yo, we needed five hundred.
- 13:01Speaker 9: Thousand, and we're like in our twenties, how are we
- 13:04Speaker 9: going to do this, but you've created a different that's
- 13:07Speaker 9: for people who wanted to get into the franchise position.
- 13:11Speaker 7: Yeah, can you talk about that.
- 13:13Speaker 5: I'm not gonna talk about it.
- 13:14Speaker 4: That's interesting because, like he said, a lot of France,
- 13:16Speaker 4: like McDonald's think is the most expensive.
- 13:18Speaker 5: A million dollars to get I think now is like right,
- 13:21Speaker 5: see what y'all did.
- 13:24Speaker 8: Shout out the homemade right all right?
- 13:27Speaker 4: So yeah, because it's like a lot of these franchises
- 13:30Speaker 4: like a million dollars, a million and a half, and
- 13:32Speaker 4: then you have to some of the franchise you have
- 13:34Speaker 4: to buy three locations.
- 13:36Speaker 7: But you can't just buy one location.
- 13:37Speaker 4: You got to have like a million dollars in investable assets,
- 13:40Speaker 4: all kinds of stuff.
- 13:41Speaker 7: It's not easy to open a franchise.
- 13:44Speaker 4: So, but your your moodel is different, right, Yes, so
- 13:47Speaker 4: before we've been talking, you have a you have a
- 13:49Speaker 4: sliding scale of the price range, right, Yes, anywhere from
- 13:52Speaker 4: thirty to ninety correct, depending on geographic locations.
- 13:56Speaker 11: Exactly.
- 14:21Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 14:24Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 14:28Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 14:33Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 14:37Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President

- 15:10Speaker 1: to return legally.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
