The Black Canyon Fire has burned over 3,200 acres since July 30th, sparked by lightning and now 61% contained. Firefighters are deploying a massive force—four aircraft, ten engines, thirteen crews, one dozer, and more than 500 personnel—to battle stubborn embers and tricky terrain, including aerial water drops from helicopters. Backhaul operations are underway to clear equipment from safe zones, while recent showers offered little relief.
