- 0:19Speaker 1: Find a nice comfortable place to sit or lie down
- 0:23and just relax. Go to bed if you want to
- 0:29take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly
- 0:35and gently breathe out through your mouth. Again, Deep breath
- 0:45in through your nose and slowly and gently breathe out
- 0:52through your mouth. One more time. Deep breath in through
- 1:00your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through your mouth.
- 1:11Now bring your breathing back to its normal rhythm. Feeling
- 1:17your chest rise and fall gently, feeling all warm and safe,
- 1:24feeling peaceful and calm and very relaxed. And with each
- 1:31breath you take, you can feel yourself becoming more and
- 1:36more relaxed. You feel so peaceful right now, you feel
- 1:47very happy and light, and you're breathing. It's almost still.
- 1:52You're so relaxed. Now, imagine yourself sitting on an old
- 2:01wooden bench in a very beautiful and very big garden.
- 2:07And this garden has a very old brick wall running
- 2:10all the way around it, and there are flowers growing
- 2:13on some part of the wall, and ivy too, and
- 2:16it really does look very beautiful. But some of the
- 2:22wall you can't see, as there is a wooded area
- 2:25filled with many tall trees. You can feel the warmth
- 2:30of the sun as it touches your skin, and you
- 2:33look up at the beautiful blue color of the sky
- 2:38and you can feel a gentle, cool breeze on your face.
- 2:44You see a few fluffy white clouds slowly floating past,
- 2:48just drifting along with nowhere special to be, just like
- 2:53you at this moment in time, just drifting along with
- 2:58nowhere special to be, but here right now, in this moment.
- 3:07You look over towards the trees and decide to take
- 3:11a look, because it kind of looks like a mini forest.
- 3:15And as you get nearer, you see some very big, beautiful,
- 3:19weeping willow trees and their branches are so long they're
- 3:23almost touching the ground. Their leaves glisten in the sunlight,
- 3:28and they shimmer and shine with beautiful, silvery green color.
- 3:34You walk amongst them, touching their leaves with your fingers
- 3:38and they feel smooth and silky to the touch. And
- 3:42as you look up, you can see the sun shining
- 3:45through the branches, almost making it look as if the
- 3:49tree is moving and swaying in the cool breeze. You
- 3:54can hear the rustling of the leaves, and it's like
- 3:57the tree is speaking to you. You just can't understand
- 4:01the words. Suddenly you hear a voice and you think
- 4:08to yourself, who could that be? Maybe it is the
- 4:10tree talking. You hear the voice again and realize that
- 4:16it's coming from above you, and with astonishment, you realize
- 4:21that the tree is talking to you. How cool is that?
- 4:28As you look at the tree, you can see it's
- 4:30a beautiful face just above you. And the tree has
- 4:34the most amazing face. It has a beautiful big smile
- 4:39and incredible, big, soft brown kind eyes. The tree smiles
- 4:47down at you and asks you if you would like
- 4:50to climb up onto one of its branches so you
- 4:52can both have a little chat. Well, that would be good.
- 4:57The tree explains that sometimes he gets a even though
- 5:02his brothers and sisters are nearby. The tree tells you
- 5:07and his brothers and sisters can't talk human talk, but
- 5:11he can, and they talk to each other with their
- 5:15minds and the swishing of the branches in the wind.
- 5:19But the tree likes to talk to humans, but not
- 5:22many of them come to this special place, so he
- 5:25is really pleased that you've come today. So he climb
- 5:30up and to one of his branches and make yourself
- 5:32comfortable and begin to listen to the beautiful weeping willow.
- 5:38As he begins to talk, he tells you his name
- 5:44is Benny, and you tell him your name too. Benny
- 5:48tells you that you can ask him any questions you want,
- 5:52and he will always tell you the truth. He says,
- 5:56the trees can only ever tell the truth because that
- 5:58is who they are. They are truth. Tell us they
- 6:02stand tall and proud and always stand in their own
- 6:06truth because it's impossible for them not to. Benny asks you,
- 6:13if you stand in your truth, the truth of who
- 6:16you are, the truth of what you believe in. He
- 6:22says that sometimes he has noticed that some people say
- 6:25things that they don't really mean, but they say it
- 6:28anyway because they think it will make other people happy,
- 6:31even if it's not what they believe themselves. Benny says
- 6:36that this is not a good thing to do. He says,
- 6:39you must always say what you believe to be the truth,
- 6:42your truth. He says, you should always speak your truth,
- 6:47but to do it with kindness in your heart and
- 6:50in your voice. Benny says it's okay to have a
- 6:55different opinion from some one else, because that is their truth,
- 6:59not yours. Benny then asks you if you would like
- 7:04to sing your truth from the top of his branches
- 7:07without any fear of judgment. Hmm, you think about it.
- 7:12M okay, he says, to try to lett exercise with
- 7:18and he will help you to sing your truth. So
- 7:23you climb up to Benny's highest branches, feeling very safe
- 7:28and secure as Benny will not let you fall. Benny
- 7:35says to repeat after him.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I use my voice to always speak my truth.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Now you say it out loud from the top of
- 7:46the tree, shout it out for all to hear.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I use my voice to always speak my truth.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Again, out loud from the top of the tree.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I use my voice to always speak my truth.
- 8:06Speaker 1: One last time.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I use my voice to always speak my truth.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Benny says that now is the time. If there's anything
- 8:18else that you wish to say, be in your own truth.
- 8:23Say your own truth, shout it out now. In fact,
- 8:27Benny suggests you sing it, make a little rhyme of it,
- 8:30and just sing it out loud and allow the truth
- 8:36to fly all the way through you. Be true to
- 8:40you always. Benny says that you were fantastic and he
- 8:47loved how he sang the words out loud. So for
- 8:51a few moments, just sit with Benny and sing out
- 8:55your truth as loud as you can, sing out all
- 8:59of the things you know to be true, and remember,
- 9:07be kind with your truth, but most of all, be
- 9:11kind with yourself. Nat you feel so free here, so
- 11:44relaxed and peaceful and calm, and it feels so wonderful
- 11:49to just sit with Benny and chat and sing your
- 11:53truth out loud from the treetops. But now, though, it's
- 11:58time for you to return. So you climb down from
- 12:03Benny's branches, and when you reach the ground, you throw
- 12:07your arms around his trunk and give him a great,
- 12:10big hug. And Benny is so happy he slowly moves
- 12:16his lower branches and wraps them around you, too, giving
- 12:20you a warm and squishy hug. So you say goodbye
- 12:26to Bennie and tell him you will come back very
- 12:29soon to see him. Maybe next time you can both
- 12:33sing a song together. You wave, and you turn and
- 12:39begin your journey home. And you realize now that you're
- 12:44back in your very own bed, breathing softly and gently,
- 12:51and each time you breathe in, you take in all
- 12:54the good thoughts and positive feelings, and you're drifting deeper
- 13:00and deeper into the most wonderful night's sleep ever. So
- 13:05turn over onto your side and snuggle down. You feel
- 13:10so safe, so protected, so loved. And when you wake
- 13:17up in the morning, you will feel completely refreshed, bright
- 13:24and a late and ready to begin the new day ahead.
- 13:31And each night from now on you will sleep better
- 13:35and better, deeper and deeper. But for now, just rest
- 13:43your weary head and just sleep. Night night.
