- 0:04The red light. On I'm just waiting.
- 0:06For the change. Welcome back to the Slippery
- 0:11Slope podcast. I'm Jay Fallon.
- 0:14Today I want to look at something that tells us far more
- 0:16about Australia's spiritual condition than it does about
- 0:20geopolitics, the protests, outrage and legal battles
- 0:25surrounding the visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
- 0:31So while he was in Australia, and while Israel was dealing
- 0:36with the aftermath of a terror attack that killed 15 people and
- 0:41wounded more than 40, an attack driven by Islamic State
- 0:46ideology, Australia was busy arguing over whether the Israeli
- 0:51president should be arrested. And if that sounds insane,
- 0:56that's because it is. This isn't just about politics.
- 1:00This is, I believe, Romans one playing out in real time.
- 1:05And I've spoken about this several times.
- 1:08So what is actually happening? Let's lay out the facts from
- 1:13several articles. OK?
- 1:14We've got Herzog visits Australia at the invitation of
- 1:19the federal government. He meets leaders and survivors
- 1:22of the Bondi terror attack. Under international law, he has
- 1:27head of state immunity, which means he cannot be arrested.
- 1:33Despite this, Green senators, activists and even an
- 1:38independent MP were still calling for his arrest.
- 1:42Nationwide protests were being organised.
- 1:46NSW Premier Chris Mins declared the visit a major event giving
- 1:52police expanded powers to block movement in Sydney.
- 1:56Protest groups ended up taking the government to the Supreme
- 2:01Court, claiming these powers are emergency style and unlawful.
- 2:08So instead of uniting around the victims of a terror attack,
- 2:12remember that terror attack that happened in December, which, you
- 2:16know, just seems to have disappeared into the ether.
- 2:19Instead of uniting around the victims of a terror attack where
- 2:23fellow Australians were killed, Australia is tearing itself
- 2:28apart over whether the President of Israel should be treated like
- 2:33a criminal. This is not normal political
- 2:38disagreement. This is moral confusion.
- 2:41So why is Australia getting this so wrong?
- 2:47Here's the uncomfortable truth. Australia has embraced a pro
- 2:51Palestinian movement that is not grounded in truth, justice or
- 2:57moral clarity. It is grounded in ideological
- 3:02activism, selective outrage, and a deep hostility toward anything
- 3:08associated with Israel. The same people who ignore
- 3:14Islamic State ideology in the Bondi attack are the ones
- 3:18demanding the arrest of Israel's president.
- 3:22The same people who claim to defend human rights A silent
- 3:26when Hamas uses civilians as Shields.
- 3:30The same people who scream about genocide refuse to acknowledge
- 3:35that Israel is responding to terrorism.
- 3:39This is not compassion. This isn't justice.
- 3:44This is moral inversion, and scripture has a name for it.
- 3:51So this is the spiritual layer. This is what I believe Romans
- 3:56chapter 1 describes. A society that knows the truth
- 4:01but rejects it, and as a result, God gives them over to a
- 4:08reprobate mind, a debased mind, a mind that cannot think
- 4:14straight, it cannot think clearly.
- 4:18Let's connect the dots. Number one, they suppress the
- 4:22truth in unrighteousness. Australia suppresses the truth
- 4:27about terrorism, ideology and moral responsibility.
- 4:32It's easier to chant slogans than confront evil #2 they
- 4:38became futile in their thoughts and their foolish hearts were
- 4:43darkened. We see this in the way activists
- 4:47reinterpret reality. Terrorists become victims.
- 4:52Victims become oppressors. Israel defending itself becomes
- 4:58genocide #3 professing to be wise, they become fools.
- 5:06We see academics, politicians and activists claiming moral
- 5:12superiority while defending movements that openly celebrate
- 5:16violence #4 God gave them over to a debased mind.
- 5:24This is the key. A debased mind cannot discern
- 5:30good from evil. It cannot recognise truth, even
- 5:35when it's obvious. It calls evil good and good
- 5:39evil. When a nation reaches this
- 5:42point, you get exactly what we're seeing Outrage directed at
- 5:49the wrong people, sympathy directed at the wrong causes,
- 5:54and hostility directed at the wrong side of history.
- 5:59Australia isn't neutral. Australia isn't confused.
- 6:04Australia has been given over, so now we are facing the
- 6:12consequences. When a society rejects God, it
- 6:18loses the ability to make moral judgments.
- 6:22Romans one lists the fruits of a reprobate mind, their envy,
- 6:27murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness,
- 6:31untrustworthiness, unloving, unmerciful.
- 6:35Look at the protests, look at the rhetoric, look at the hatred
- 6:40directed at Jewish Australians, look at the willingness to
- 6:45excuse terrorism. This is not political activism,
- 6:50this is spiritual decay. And where this leads, when a
- 6:56nation embraces lies, it inevitably embraces tyranny.
- 7:02Have you noticed what's happening?
- 7:05NSW grants police expanded powers.
- 7:08Protest groups challenge those powers.
- 7:11The government Shields a visiting head of state.
- 7:14Activists demand his arrest. Courts are dragged into
- 7:18ideological battles. We've got chaos, confusion,
- 7:22division. This is what happens when truth
- 7:26is abandoned. As Christians, we're not called
- 7:32to follow the crowd. We are not called to adopt the
- 7:37world's moral framework. We're called to discern.
- 7:41Romans 1 isn't just a warning, it's a diagnosis.
- 7:46Australia is not drifting. Australia is not confused.
- 7:51Australia is being given over. And unless we return to truth,
- 7:58God's truth, the chaos we're seeing now is only the
- 8:02beginning. Of course, all this is my
- 8:08opinion. I am Jay Fallon.
- 8:11Thank you for listening to The Slippery Slope.
- 8:32It's going to stop me now. No one tears to be the sound of
- 8:37my soldiers. That is on me.
- 8:42And nothing's going to stop me now.
- 8:45And nothing's going to hold me down.
- 8:47Got my eye on the eyes, got my sight on the clouds, it seems no
- 8:51sight. Nothing's going to, nothing 's
- 8:59going to stop me now.
