Matthew 13:34-50 The Harvest Is Coming
After leaving the crowds, Jesus enters the house, where His disciples ask Him to explain the Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds.
Jesus removes the mystery: the sower is the Son of Man, the field is the world, the good seed represents the sons of the Kingdom, the weeds represent the sons of the evil one, the enemy is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.
This is one of Jesus’ clearest explanations of why evil continues in the present age and what will happen when that age ends. The world is presently a mixed field, but it will not remain mixed forever…
