- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. Back in twenty nineteen, when Jeffrey Epstein was arrested,
- 0:10the FBI reached out to authorities in New York and
- 0:14ordered the authorities in New York to stand down and
- 0:18see their investigation to the federal government. And usually I
- 0:22just shrug my shoulders. Right, the Feds think that they
- 0:24have a better case, or maybe they believe they have jurisdiction,
- 0:28whatever it might be. But that's only for people that
- 0:30get the benefit of the doubt. And when it comes
- 0:32to the FBI and the DOJ and their behavior in
- 0:36the realm of Epstein, I don't think anybody should be
- 0:39giving them the benefit of the doubt. And honestly, I
- 0:42don't think I'm the only one. I think that the
- 0:45vast majority of people are sick of the nonsense, sick
- 0:48of the lies, and sick of the bs. And I
- 0:51don't just mean with Epstein, I mean in general, and
- 0:53considering all of that, and considering the piss poor job
- 0:56they've done, do you think they've earned the benefit of
- 0:59the doubt? Well? I have a funny feeling after we're
- 1:02done with this article and this email if you didn't
- 1:05have any questions before, you might have some now. So
- 1:09why don't we just start with this email? And this
- 1:11was an email that was sent from you guessed it
- 1:14redacted or redacted, but it's obviously federal agents talking about
- 1:18the case and what's going on in New York. So
- 1:22let's start with the first message. On July tenth, twenty nineteen,
- 1:27Jeffrey Berman wrote, I spoke to Sweeney. Will be going
- 1:31forward with the compromise. CFI in the room, but interview
- 1:35conducted by AUSA and agent. There will be a strategy
- 1:38session with CFI before each interview, and any suggestion from
- 1:42CFI will be incorporated by us in the interview to
- 1:46the extent we can. If CFI feels that they have
- 1:50to interject during the interview, they can, or they may
- 1:53talk to us outside the room. We of course will
- 1:56be solicitous of CFI. They're the experts. Does this work
- 2:00for everyone? And then there's a response from somebody who
- 2:05is not notated, This is fine with me if they
- 2:09can be nimble. For example, the agents and redacted or
- 2:12in Florida. As we speak, agents are doing approaches and
- 2:16interviews lined up for tomorrow. We can't let the bureaucracy
- 2:19stand in the way, have to delay things, etc. I
- 2:23suppose we go with it for now and see if
- 2:26that becomes a concern. Oh yeah, that's not concerning. Huh,
- 2:29can't let the bureaucracy stand in the way. What does
- 2:32that even mean? The next response in the chain is
- 2:35from the same person. It looks like sorry, interviews lined
- 2:39up for Friday, not tomorrow. Here's another fire. DA n
- 2:43Y District Attorney in New York is proceeding with their
- 2:46investigation and already reached out to NBC News victim to
- 2:50arrange an interview. I'm not sure what the point is
- 2:53given both their double jeopardy and sol issues. Let's discuss
- 2:57outreach to them. Extra response, same person, also as redacted
- 3:03is pointed out, DA and Y is presumably working with NYPD,
- 3:08but NYPD, through the Task Force, is working with us
- 3:12and even stood up to announce the charges with US,
- 3:15so we may also want to conduct outreach that way.
- 3:20Final message redacted just called FBI reached out to NYPD
- 3:25leadership already and they were told the SPU has been
- 3:28directed to stand down and that all the Epstein stuff
- 3:31needs to go through us DA and y could still
- 3:35try to go forward with their own investigators, so I
- 3:38think it's worth a call over. So what you see
- 3:41here is the FBI and the US Attorney's Office trying
- 3:45to figure out how to get the District Attorney of
- 3:49the State of New York out of the way so
- 3:52they can pursue their case in a way they want
- 3:54to pursue it. And look, under normal circumstances, this wouldn't
- 3:57be weird, right, you'd be like, all right, cool, this
- 3:59is what happened. But when we look at it, added
- 4:03to everything else we know about and all the other
- 4:05behavior of the federal government when it comes to Epstein
- 4:08and protecting them, it's very concerning. And it all goes
- 4:12back to the scope. The federal government wanted this case
- 4:17so they could control the scope so that blast radius
- 4:20was limited, and I think the more evidence that we're seeing,
- 4:23especially recently, really reinforces that point. So in this episode,
- 4:28we have an article from AlterNet and the headline FBI
- 4:33told NYPD to stand down probe into Jeffrey Epstein. This
- 4:38article was authored by Sarah K. Burris. Ryan Goodman, editor
- 4:43in chief of Just Security, uncovered a document in which
- 4:46the New York police department was told by the federal
- 4:49government to stand down on its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
- 4:54In a video posted on Monday, Goodman said that he
- 4:57found documents in which the FBI sent the instructions to
- 5:01the NYPD just five days after Epstein's arrest. Goodman said
- 5:05he found it surprising that the order also applied to
- 5:08the SVU Special Victims Unit, and Goodman explained that it's
- 5:12the key part of law enforcement that is specially trained
- 5:16and equipped to investigate crimes against miners and crimes of
- 5:20such abuse. Well, the Feds have their own department, so
- 5:23they're going to bring in their own people BAU you know,
- 5:27crimes against Victims CEOs, a whole bunch of different divisions
- 5:31that they use when they're pursuing crimes like this. The
- 5:34problem is they didn't utilize any of it, and instead
- 5:37they narrowed the scope so that the only targets would
- 5:40be Epstein and Maxwell her self. And that was all
- 5:43by design. It has nothing to do with them not
- 5:45having evidence. They have mountains of it. And that's why
- 5:49it's so annoying when you have people out here who
- 5:51try and rely on this initial investigation as something that
- 5:56is worthwhile as something that you can look at and say,
- 5:58you know what, every single door was kicked in, every
- 6:02bush upturned, because we know that's not true. And before
- 6:08it was just me telling you that. Now it's obvious
- 6:11from these documents that it's true. They didn't pursue this
- 6:15investigation the way that they usually do, especially when we're
- 6:18talking about organized crime, when we're talking about criminal enterprise.
- 6:23This is usually their favorite thing to go after because
- 6:26it makes headlines, it's a gigantic slam dunk, and it's
- 6:29a career builder. But they didn't do it, did they.
- 6:32They narrowed the scope and they were only focusing in
- 6:35on Jeffrey Epstein and Glenne Maxwell. And in pursuit of that,
- 6:39they had to make sure that the case was kicked
- 6:40down from state to federal because remember DOJ main office
- 6:45has no jurisdiction over state level law enforcement. So they
- 6:49wanted to be in control of everything from actual boots
- 6:53on the ground to the actual narrative. They wanted to
- 6:56be in control of all of it. And now we
- 6:58know why. I mean, you have all these crimes that
- 7:01were committed in New York and you don't want the
- 7:04assistance of the SVU, one of the most premier svus
- 7:09in the country, by the way, But now we'll have
- 7:12them step aside. We got this and I know it's
- 7:15just another coincidence, right. The documents showed that the existing
- 7:19District Attorney of New York was in an ongoing investigation
- 7:23into Epstein and was communicating with the victims. Some of
- 7:26those victims then began to speak out, including a twenty
- 7:30nineteen interview with Savannah Guthrie on NBC. Goodman said that
- 7:35they considered the DA reaching out to the victims of
- 7:38fire that needed to be put out. All of this
- 7:42was during President Donald Trump's first administration. It's quite stunning
- 7:46because a large part of the allegations against Epstein and
- 7:49Glenn Maxwell and the allegedal conspirators happened in New York
- 7:53that would be the epicenter of a lot of the
- 7:55crimes of the trafficking of the young girls and women.
- 7:59The sexual abuse of the young girls and women happened
- 8:02in a townhouse in the Upper East Side of Manhattan,
- 8:04good Men explained. So you'd think you'd want the New
- 8:07York Police helping you out, have their assistance and work
- 8:12in coordination with them, but No, the whole last thing
- 8:15had to be run from Maine Justice and who was
- 8:17in charge at that time. Oh, that's right, Bill Barr.
- 8:20So to close off such an investigation from those on
- 8:23the ground, he said, is astonishing, as it would be
- 8:26the most productive avenue of getting at the other men
- 8:28involved in crimes. While the federal government may have assumed
- 8:32that the NYPD and DA stopped, they actually continued the
- 8:35probe through a robust investigation. I highly doubt it was robust,
- 8:39by the way, including speaking to the survivors through their attorneys.
- 8:44One part of the investigation focuses specifically on Leon Black,
- 8:47a private equity investor, whom Business Insider reported on last week.
- 8:52Black has never been charged. Well, I'm sure it's because
- 8:56there's no evidence, right. Has nothing to do with the
- 9:00poor job of the federal government or them snatching jurisdiction
- 9:03and providence from the local districts. Nothing to see here, though,
- 9:08Just how things work, folks. The office of the New
- 9:12Mexico Attorney General, Ronald Torres said last week that in
- 9:15twenty nineteen it was also told to stand down facts.
- 9:19That is true, one hundred percent, but they didn't have
- 9:22to listen. They could have had their own investigation running concurrently.
- 9:28The investigation was closed in twenty nineteen at the request
- 9:32of the U. S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District
- 9:35of New York. Torres said he wants them to be reopened.
- 9:39The U S Attorney in twenty nineteen was Jeffrey Berman,
- 9:42who was also actively investigating potential financial abuses related to
- 9:46Donald Trump's twenty seventeen presidential inaugural committee and pursuing investigations
- 9:53into Michael Cohen from twenty eighteen to twenty nineteen. The
- 9:58document showed that on December sixth, twenty eighteen, the NYPD
- 10:02SDNY n FBI Child Exploitation Human Trafficking Task Force opened
- 10:07a case on Epstein. On July tenth, twenty nineteen, and
- 10:12Epstein's survivor, Jennifer ARREOs, was interviewed by Guthrie for The
- 10:16Today Show. She said, the recruiter knew she was fourteen.
- 10:20Wait a minute, I thought nobody was young here. I
- 10:23thought there was no children who were harmed. Isn't that
- 10:25what some of the Epstein apologists are telling us? A
- 10:28bunch of jerkofs. After the interview aired, ARREOs submitted a
- 10:32New York State court filing seeking information from Epstein about
- 10:36how a recruiter who allegedly worked for him Recruiteder. Her
- 10:41lawsuit against Maxwell and then assistant was filed on August fourteenth,
- 10:45twenty nineteen, just four days after Epstein was found dead,
- 10:49so she filed the suit against his estate. The stand
- 10:54down directive came in twenty nineteen. On July tenth and eleven,
- 10:58one month later, Epstein went dead. By January twentieth, email
- 11:03showed that the FBI was discussing the NYPDS probe of Epstein.
- 11:08So the pieces of the puzzle are certainly all coming together,
- 11:11and all these receipts are piling up, and all this
- 11:14circumstantial evidence that has been compiled are now, in my opinion,
- 11:18turning into the foundation for the biggest cover up in
- 11:21the history of the United States. And if you were
- 11:24wondering why they want you to move on, well here
- 11:28it is. All the information that goes with this episode
