Why Isn’t One Job Enough Anymore? · Becoming Financially Confident

• 1:20
  Hey,
• 1:20
  for
• 1:20
  a
• 1:21
  long
• 1:21
  time,
• 1:21
  one
• 1:21
  paycheck
• 1:22
  felt
• 1:22
  normal,
• 1:22
  didn't
• 1:23
  it?
• 1:23
  Just
• 1:24
  one
• 1:24
  job,
• 1:24
  one
• 1:25
  employer,
• 1:25
  just
• 1:26
  one
• 1:26
  source
• 1:26
  of
• 1:26
  income
• 1:26
  I
• 1:27
  can
• 1:27
  still
• 1:27
  think
• 1:27
  about.
• 1:27
  My
• 1:28
  grandfather
• 1:28
  had
• 1:29
  that
• 1:29
  job
• 1:29
  with
• 1:29
  the
• 1:29
  dupont
• 1:30
  company,
• 1:30
  and
• 1:30
  he
• 1:30
  had
• 1:31
  it
• 1:31
  for
• 1:31
  his
• 1:31
  almost
• 1:32
  his
• 1:32
  entire
• 1:32
  life.
• 1:34
  And
• 1:34
  maybe
• 1:34
  that
• 1:34
  worked
• 1:35
  for
• 1:35
  a
• 1:35
  season.
• 1:36
  But
• 1:36
  now
• 1:37
  you're
• 1:37
  thinking,
• 1:37
  ralph,
• 1:37
  that
• 1:38
  feels
• 1:38
  really
• 1:38
  risky,
• 1:39
  friend,
• 1:40
  if
• 1:40
  you've
• 1:40
  ever
• 1:40
  thought,
• 1:41
  if
• 1:41
  this
• 1:41
  job
• 1:42
  disappeared,
• 1:43
  I
• 1:43
  really
• 1:43
  don't
• 1:44
  know
• 1:44
  what
• 1:44
  I
• 1:44
  do.
• 1:45
  That's
• 1:46
  not
• 1:46
  you
• 1:46
  being
• 1:46
  dramatic.
• 1:47
  You're
• 1:47
  actually
• 1:48
  paying
• 1:48
  attention.
• 1:48
  And
• 1:48
  paying
• 1:49
  attention
• 1:49
  is
• 1:49
  a
• 1:49
  good
• 1:50
  thing.
• 1:51
  And
• 1:51
  I
• 1:51
  just
• 1:51
  want
• 1:51
  to
• 1:52
  say
• 1:52
  it
• 1:52
  gently.
• 1:53
  You're
• 1:53
  not
• 1:53
  crazy
• 1:54
  for
• 1:54
  feeling
• 1:54
  this.
• 1:55
  You're
• 1:55
  living
• 1:56
  in
• 1:56
  a
• 1:56
  world
• 1:56
  that's
• 1:56
  changed.
• 1:58
  So
• 1:58
  here's
• 1:58
  the
• 1:59
  question
• 1:59
  we're
• 1:59
  answering
• 1:59
  today.
• 2:00
  Why
• 2:01
  isn't
• 2:01
  one
• 2:01
  job
• 2:02
  enough
• 2:02
  anymore?
• 2:03
  And
• 2:04
  by
• 2:04
  the
• 2:04
  end
• 2:04
  of
• 2:04
  this
• 2:04
  episode,
• 2:05
  you're
• 2:05
  going
• 2:05
  to
• 2:05
  walk
• 2:05
  away
• 2:05
  with
• 2:06
  a
• 2:06
  common
• 2:06
  explanation
• 2:07
  for
• 2:07
  why
• 2:07
  one
• 2:07
  income
• 2:08
  feels
• 2:08
  so
• 2:08
  fragile.
• 2:09
  I'm
• 2:09
  going
• 2:09
  to
• 2:09
  give
• 2:09
  you
• 2:10
  a
• 2:10
  simple
• 2:10
  way
• 2:10
  to
• 2:10
  think
• 2:10
  about
• 2:11
  multiple
• 2:11
  streams
• 2:12
  without
• 2:12
  overwhelm.
• 2:13
  And.
• 2:13
  And
• 2:13
  one
• 2:13
  small
• 2:14
  step
• 2:14
  you
• 2:14
  can
• 2:14
  take
• 2:14
  today
• 2:15
  to
• 2:15
  start
• 2:15
  building
• 2:16
  stability.
• 2:16
  And
• 2:17
  we're
• 2:17
  going
• 2:17
  to
• 2:17
  do
• 2:17
  it
• 2:17
  without
• 2:17
  panic.
• 2:18
  We're
• 2:18
  going
• 2:18
  to
• 2:19
  do
• 2:19
  it
• 2:19
  without
• 2:19
  pressure.
• 2:20
  And
• 2:20
  most
• 2:20
  of
• 2:20
  all,
• 2:21
  we're
• 2:21
  going
• 2:21
  to
• 2:21
  do
• 2:21
  it
• 2:21
  without
• 2:21
  fear.
• 2:22
  You're
• 2:23
  going
• 2:23
  to
• 2:23
  be
• 2:23
  okay,
• 2:23
  friend.
• 2:24
  Let's
• 2:24
  talk.
• 2:46
  Hey,
• 2:47
  friend.
• 2:47
  Ralph
• 2:47
  Estep
• 2:48
  Jr.
• 2:48
  Here.
• 2:48
  Welcome
• 2:49
  to
• 2:49
  Financially
• 2:49
  Confident
• 2:50
  Christian.
• 2:51
  We
• 2:51
  learn
• 2:51
  how
• 2:51
  to
• 2:51
  walk
• 2:52
  through
• 2:52
  life
• 2:52
  and
• 2:52
  money
• 2:53
  with
• 2:53
  wisdom,
• 2:54
  with
• 2:54
  peace,
• 2:55
  and
• 2:55
  with
• 2:55
  a
• 2:55
  heart
• 2:56
  anchored
• 2:56
  in
• 2:56
  God's
• 2:56
  truth.
• 2:57
  My
• 2:57
  mission
• 2:58
  is
• 2:58
  to
• 2:58
  help
• 2:58
  you
• 2:58
  break
• 2:58
  that
• 2:59
  cycle
• 2:59
  of
• 2:59
  financial
• 3:00
  shame
• 3:00
  and
• 3:00
  build
• 3:00
  steady
• 3:01
  habits
• 3:01
  rooted
• 3:02
  in
• 3:02
  faith,
• 3:03
  and
• 3:03
  become
• 3:04
  financially
• 3:04
  confident
• 3:05
  Christians.
• 3:06
  I'm
• 3:06
  really
• 3:07
  glad
• 3:07
  you're
• 3:07
  here
• 3:07
  today.
• 3:08
  Yesterday,
• 3:08
  we
• 3:09
  talked
• 3:09
  about
• 3:09
  growing
• 3:09
  your
• 3:10
  income
• 3:10
  without
• 3:10
  burning
• 3:11
  out.
• 3:11
  We
• 3:11
  talked
• 3:11
  about
• 3:12
  scaling
• 3:12
  with
• 3:12
  wisdom
• 3:13
  and
• 3:14
  not
• 3:14
  pressure.
• 3:15
  And
• 3:15
  today's
• 3:16
  show
• 3:16
  builds
• 3:16
  right
• 3:16
  on
• 3:17
  top
• 3:17
  of
• 3:17
  that.
• 3:18
  Because
• 3:18
  one
• 3:18
  of
• 3:18
  the
• 3:19
  wisest
• 3:19
  ways
• 3:19
  to
• 3:19
  grow
• 3:20
  isn't
• 3:20
  always
• 3:21
  working
• 3:21
  harder.
• 3:23
  Sometimes
• 3:23
  it's
• 3:23
  simply
• 3:24
  making
• 3:24
  sure
• 3:24
  everything
• 3:24
  doesn't
• 3:25
  depend
• 3:25
  on
• 3:25
  just
• 3:25
  one
• 3:26
  paycheck.
• 3:27
  And
• 3:27
  it's
• 3:27
  not
• 3:27
  because
• 3:28
  you
• 3:28
  don't
• 3:28
  trust
• 3:28
  God,
• 3:29
  but
• 3:29
  because
• 3:29
  you've
• 3:30
  learned
• 3:30
  to
• 3:30
  steward
• 3:31
  the
• 3:31
  life
• 3:31
  he's
• 3:31
  given
• 3:32
  you.
• 3:33
  And
• 3:33
  here's
• 3:33
  something
• 3:34
  I
• 3:34
  hear
• 3:34
  all
• 3:34
  the
• 3:34
  time,
• 3:35
  Ralph.
• 3:36
  Is
• 3:36
  it
• 3:36
  wrong
• 3:37
  that
• 3:37
  one
• 3:37
  paycheck
• 3:38
  doesn't
• 3:38
  feel
• 3:39
  safe
• 3:39
  anymore?
• 3:40
  Or
• 3:40
  maybe
• 3:40
  you're
• 3:41
  thinking
• 3:41
  this.
• 3:42
  Am
• 3:42
  I
• 3:43
  being
• 3:43
  faithless
• 3:44
  for
• 3:44
  wanting
• 3:45
  a
• 3:45
  backup
• 3:45
  plan?
• 3:47
  And
• 3:47
  let
• 3:47
  me
• 3:47
  say
• 3:48
  this
• 3:48
  clearly,
• 3:48
  friend.
• 3:49
  Wanting
• 3:50
  stability
• 3:50
  isn't
• 3:51
  a
• 3:51
  lack
• 3:51
  of
• 3:51
  faith.
• 3:52
  It's
• 3:53
  actually
• 3:53
  a
• 3:53
  human
• 3:54
  response
• 3:54
  to
• 3:54
  a
• 3:54
  very
• 3:55
  uncertain
• 3:55
  world.
• 3:56
  And
• 3:56
  we're
• 3:56
  certainly
• 3:56
  living
• 3:57
  in
• 3:57
  an
• 3:57
  uncertain
• 3:57
  world,
• 3:57
  aren't
• 3:58
  we?
• 3:59
  So
• 3:59
  if
• 3:59
  you
• 3:59
  felt
• 4:00
  anxious
• 4:00
  about
• 4:00
  layoffs,
• 4:01
  if
• 4:02
  you
• 4:02
  watch
• 4:02
  prices
• 4:03
  rise
• 4:03
  While
• 4:03
  your
• 4:03
  paycheck
• 4:04
  stayed
• 4:04
  the
• 4:04
  same.
• 4:05
  If
• 4:05
  you've
• 4:05
  had
• 4:05
  that
• 4:06
  quiet
• 4:06
  thought,
• 4:07
  I'm
• 4:07
  just
• 4:08
  one
• 4:08
  emergency
• 4:08
  away
• 4:09
  from
• 4:09
  a
• 4:09
  real
• 4:09
  mess.
• 4:10
  You're
• 4:11
  not
• 4:11
  weak,
• 4:12
  you're
• 4:12
  not
• 4:12
  ungrateful,
• 4:13
  and
• 4:14
  you're
• 4:14
  not
• 4:14
  bad
• 4:14
  at
• 4:15
  trusting
• 4:15
  God.
• 4:16
  You're
• 4:17
  just
• 4:17
  feeling
• 4:17
  what
• 4:17
  it's
• 4:17
  like
• 4:18
  to
• 4:18
  carry
• 4:18
  adult
• 4:18
  responsibilities
• 4:20
  in
• 4:20
  a
• 4:20
  time
• 4:20
  when
• 4:21
  the
• 4:21
  ground
• 4:21
  feels
• 4:22
  shakier.
• 4:23
  And,
• 4:24
  friend,
• 4:24
  today
• 4:24
  you
• 4:24
  deserve
• 4:25
  a
• 4:25
  plan
• 4:25
  that
• 4:25
  helps
• 4:25
  you
• 4:26
  breathe
• 4:26
  again.
• 4:27
  Because
• 4:28
  here's
• 4:28
  the
• 4:28
  reality.
• 4:29
  One
• 4:30
  income
• 4:30
  stream
• 4:31
  is
• 4:31
  one
• 4:32
  point
• 4:32
  of
• 4:32
  failure.
• 4:33
  We
• 4:33
  talk
• 4:33
  about
• 4:33
  systems
• 4:34
  we
• 4:34
  try
• 4:34
  to
• 4:34
  build.
• 4:34
  Systems
• 4:35
  have
• 4:35
  multiple
• 4:36
  points,
• 4:36
  so
• 4:36
  you
• 4:36
  don't
• 4:36
  have
• 4:37
  one
• 4:37
  point
• 4:37
  of
• 4:37
  failure.
• 4:38
  And
• 4:38
  if
• 4:39
  everything
• 4:39
  depends
• 4:39
  on
• 4:40
  just
• 4:40
  one
• 4:40
  job,
• 4:41
  then
• 4:42
  any
• 4:42
  disruption
• 4:42
  at
• 4:43
  all
• 4:43
  feels
• 4:43
  catastrophic.
• 4:45
  A
• 4:45
  layoff,
• 4:46
  maybe
• 4:47
  a
• 4:47
  health
• 4:47
  issue,
• 4:48
  a
• 4:48
  business
• 4:49
  slowdown
• 4:49
  or
• 4:50
  a
• 4:50
  company
• 4:50
  change.
• 4:51
  It's
• 4:52
  not
• 4:52
  that
• 4:52
  the
• 4:52
  job
• 4:52
  is
• 4:53
  bad.
• 4:53
  It's
• 4:53
  that
• 4:54
  the
• 4:54
  system
• 4:54
  itself
• 4:55
  is
• 4:55
  fragile.
• 4:57
  And
• 4:57
  when
• 4:57
  your
• 4:57
  system
• 4:58
  is
• 4:58
  fragile,
• 4:59
  your
• 4:59
  nervous
• 5:00
  system
• 5:00
  never
• 5:00
  relaxes.
• 5:01
  You're
• 5:01
  always
• 5:02
  tensed
• 5:02
  up.
• 5:03
  And
• 5:03
  that's
• 5:04
  why
• 5:04
  this
• 5:04
  feels
• 5:04
  heavy.
• 5:05
  Not
• 5:05
  because
• 5:06
  you're
• 5:06
  being
• 5:06
  dramatic.
• 5:07
  It's
• 5:07
  because
• 5:07
  your
• 5:07
  body
• 5:08
  knows
• 5:08
  this
• 5:09
  matters.
• 5:10
  And
• 5:10
  see,
• 5:10
  I've
• 5:11
  walked
• 5:11
  with
• 5:11
  families
• 5:12
  through
• 5:12
  job
• 5:12
  losses.
• 5:13
  I've
• 5:13
  seen
• 5:14
  what
• 5:14
  happens
• 5:14
  when
• 5:14
  a
• 5:14
  paycheck
• 5:15
  disappears
• 5:15
  overnight.
• 5:17
  And
• 5:17
  I've
• 5:17
  also
• 5:17
  seen
• 5:18
  the
• 5:18
  piece
• 5:18
  that
• 5:18
  shows
• 5:18
  up
• 5:19
  when
• 5:19
  income
• 5:19
  isn't
• 5:19
  coming
• 5:20
  from
• 5:20
  only
• 5:20
  one
• 5:20
  place.
• 5:22
  Even
• 5:22
  a
• 5:22
  small
• 5:22
  second
• 5:23
  stream
• 5:23
  can
• 5:24
  change
• 5:24
  the
• 5:24
  way
• 5:24
  you
• 5:24
  sleep
• 5:25
  at
• 5:25
  night.
• 5:26
  And
• 5:26
  I'll
• 5:26
  never
• 5:27
  forget
• 5:27
  I
• 5:27
  talked
• 5:27
  with
• 5:27
  somebody
• 5:27
  once
• 5:28
  who
• 5:28
  said,
• 5:28
  I
• 5:28
  love
• 5:29
  my
• 5:29
  job,
• 5:29
  Ralph,
• 5:29
  but
• 5:29
  I
• 5:30
  can't
• 5:30
  sleep
• 5:30
  at
• 5:30
  night.
• 5:31
  And
• 5:31
  this
• 5:32
  person
• 5:32
  wasn't
• 5:32
  greedy.
• 5:33
  They
• 5:33
  weren't
• 5:33
  trying
• 5:34
  to
• 5:34
  get
• 5:34
  rich.
• 5:35
  They
• 5:35
  were
• 5:35
  just
• 5:35
  scared
• 5:36
  because
• 5:36
  everything
• 5:36
  depended
• 5:37
  on
• 5:37
  one
• 5:38
  check.
• 5:39
  So
• 5:39
  they
• 5:39
  didn't
• 5:40
  do
• 5:40
  anything
• 5:40
  dramatic,
• 5:40
  didn't
• 5:41
  quit
• 5:41
  their
• 5:41
  job.
• 5:42
  They
• 5:42
  didn't
• 5:42
  start
• 5:42
  a
• 5:43
  new
• 5:43
  company
• 5:43
  overnight.
• 5:45
  They
• 5:45
  added
• 5:45
  just
• 5:46
  one
• 5:46
  small
• 5:46
  system.
• 5:48
  Something
• 5:48
  simple,
• 5:49
  something
• 5:50
  steady.
• 5:51
  And
• 5:51
  I'll
• 5:51
  never
• 5:52
  forget,
• 5:52
  six
• 5:52
  months
• 5:52
  later,
• 5:53
  they
• 5:53
  told
• 5:53
  me
• 5:53
  that
• 5:54
  extra
• 5:54
  income
• 5:54
  didn't
• 5:55
  replace
• 5:55
  my
• 5:55
  job,
• 5:56
  Ralph.
• 5:56
  But
• 5:57
  one
• 5:57
  thing
• 5:57
  it
• 5:57
  did
• 5:57
  replace.
• 5:58
  It
• 5:58
  replaced
• 5:59
  my
• 5:59
  fear.
• 6:01
  See,
• 6:01
  friend,
• 6:01
  that's
• 6:02
  what
• 6:02
  we're
• 6:02
  after
• 6:02
  today.
• 6:03
  It's
• 6:03
  not
• 6:03
  about
• 6:03
  hustle.
• 6:04
  Today.
• 6:04
  It's
• 6:05
  about
• 6:05
  peace.
• 6:07
  So
• 6:07
  here's
• 6:07
  the
• 6:07
  real
• 6:07
  question
• 6:08
  today.
• 6:09
  How
• 6:09
  do
• 6:09
  you
• 6:09
  build
• 6:10
  stability
• 6:10
  in
• 6:11
  an
• 6:11
  uncertain
• 6:11
  world?
• 6:11
  Now,
• 6:12
  we
• 6:12
  could
• 6:12
  probably
• 6:12
  take
• 6:12
  an
• 6:12
  hour
• 6:13
  to
• 6:13
  talk
• 6:13
  about
• 6:13
  that.
• 6:15
  But,
• 6:15
  friend,
• 6:15
  I'm
• 6:15
  going
• 6:15
  to
• 6:16
  tell
• 6:16
  you
• 6:16
  right
• 6:16
  now,
• 6:16
  the
• 6:16
  answer
• 6:17
  isn't
• 6:17
  panic.
• 6:18
  It's
• 6:19
  preparation.
• 6:19
  It's
• 6:20
  quiet
• 6:20
  preparation.
• 6:21
  It's
• 6:22
  faithful
• 6:22
  preparation.
• 6:24
  It's
• 6:24
  the
• 6:24
  kind
• 6:24
  that
• 6:25
  says,
• 6:25
  I'm
• 6:25
  trusting
• 6:25
  God
• 6:26
  and
• 6:26
  I'm
• 6:27
  going
• 6:27
  to
• 6:27
  steward
• 6:27
  wisely.
• 6:29
  And,
• 6:29
  friend,
• 6:29
  I
• 6:29
  want
• 6:29
  to
• 6:30
  give
• 6:30
  you
• 6:30
  a
• 6:30
  simple
• 6:30
  way
• 6:31
  to
• 6:31
  think
• 6:31
  about
• 6:31
  this,
• 6:32
  because
• 6:32
  this
• 6:32
  topic
• 6:33
  itself
• 6:33
  can
• 6:33
  feel
• 6:34
  overwhelming.
• 6:35
  Here's
• 6:36
  the
• 6:36
  big
• 6:36
  idea.
• 6:37
  Multiple
• 6:38
  income
• 6:38
  streams
• 6:39
  aren't
• 6:39
  greed.
• 6:40
  They're
• 6:41
  about
• 6:41
  resilience.
• 6:41
  I've
• 6:41
  had
• 6:42
  a
• 6:42
  lot
• 6:42
  of
• 6:42
  people
• 6:42
  say,
• 6:42
  well
• 6:42
  Rob,
• 6:43
  you're
• 6:43
  just
• 6:43
  talking
• 6:43
  about
• 6:43
  how
• 6:44
  to
• 6:44
  build
• 6:44
  more
• 6:44
  income
• 6:44
  and
• 6:45
  get
• 6:45
  greedy
• 6:45
  and
• 6:45
  greedy.
• 6:45
  That's
• 6:46
  not
• 6:46
  what
• 6:46
  I'm
• 6:46
  talking
• 6:46
  about.
• 6:46
  I'm
• 6:46
  talking
• 6:47
  about
• 6:47
  building
• 6:47
  resilience.
• 6:48
  It's
• 6:48
  kind
• 6:48
  of
• 6:48
  like
• 6:49
  a
• 6:49
  stool.
• 6:50
  If
• 6:50
  your
• 6:50
  stool
• 6:50
  has
• 6:51
  one
• 6:51
  leg,
• 6:51
  guess
• 6:51
  what's
• 6:51
  going
• 6:51
  to
• 6:52
  happen.
• 6:52
  It's
• 6:52
  going
• 6:53
  to
• 6:53
  fail.
• 6:54
  Add
• 6:54
  a
• 6:54
  second
• 6:55
  leg
• 6:55
  and
• 6:55
  suddenly
• 6:56
  there's
• 6:56
  a
• 6:56
  balance.
• 6:58
  Add
• 6:58
  a
• 6:58
  third
• 6:58
  leg
• 6:58
  and
• 6:59
  hey,
• 6:59
  now
• 6:59
  you've
• 6:59
  got
• 7:00
  stability.
• 7:01
  So
• 7:01
  let's
• 7:01
  make
• 7:02
  this
• 7:02
  practical.
• 7:03
  There
• 7:03
  are
• 7:03
  basically
• 7:04
  two
• 7:04
  kinds
• 7:04
  of
• 7:05
  income.
• 7:05
  There's
• 7:05
  active
• 7:06
  income
• 7:06
  and
• 7:07
  there's
• 7:07
  building
• 7:07
  income.
• 7:08
  Let's
• 7:08
  talk
• 7:08
  about
• 7:08
  that
• 7:09
  active
• 7:09
  income.
• 7:10
  This
• 7:10
  is
• 7:10
  what
• 7:10
  you
• 7:10
  trade
• 7:11
  your
• 7:11
  time
• 7:11
  for.
• 7:11
  Your
• 7:12
  job,
• 7:12
  your
• 7:13
  overtime,
• 7:13
  those
• 7:14
  side
• 7:14
  gigs
• 7:14
  you're
• 7:14
  doing.
• 7:15
  It's
• 7:15
  the
• 7:15
  income
• 7:16
  you
• 7:16
  earn
• 7:16
  because
• 7:16
  you
• 7:17
  showed
• 7:17
  up.
• 7:17
  You're
• 7:17
  just
• 7:17
  getting
• 7:18
  paid
• 7:18
  to
• 7:18
  show
• 7:18
  up.
• 7:19
  But
• 7:19
  then
• 7:19
  there's
• 7:20
  also
• 7:20
  building
• 7:20
  income.
• 7:21
  This
• 7:21
  is
• 7:22
  income
• 7:22
  you
• 7:22
  build
• 7:22
  slowly,
• 7:23
  like
• 7:23
  a
• 7:23
  small
• 7:24
  business.
• 7:25
  Maybe
• 7:25
  it's
• 7:25
  a
• 7:25
  service
• 7:25
  you
• 7:26
  offer,
• 7:26
  a
• 7:27
  product
• 7:27
  you're
• 7:27
  selling.
• 7:28
  Investments
• 7:28
  are
• 7:29
  a
• 7:29
  great
• 7:29
  example
• 7:29
  of
• 7:30
  this.
• 7:30
  Maybe
• 7:30
  it's
• 7:30
  a
• 7:30
  rental
• 7:31
  property
• 7:32
  or
• 7:32
  even
• 7:32
  a
• 7:32
  skill
• 7:33
  that's
• 7:33
  become
• 7:33
  valuable.
• 7:34
  Now
• 7:34
  these
• 7:34
  things
• 7:35
  don't
• 7:35
  happen
• 7:35
  overnight.
• 7:36
  That's
• 7:36
  the
• 7:36
  whole
• 7:36
  point
• 7:36
  of
• 7:36
  why
• 7:36
  we
• 7:37
  say
• 7:37
  it's
• 7:37
  building.
• 7:37
  But
• 7:38
  they
• 7:38
  build
• 7:38
  up
• 7:38
  over
• 7:39
  time.
• 7:40
  And
• 7:40
  friend,
• 7:41
  here's
• 7:41
  the
• 7:41
  best
• 7:41
  part.
• 7:42
  I
• 7:42
  want
• 7:43
  you
• 7:43
  to
• 7:43
  breathe
• 7:43
  this
• 7:43
  in.
• 7:44
  You
• 7:44
  don't
• 7:45
  need
• 7:45
  eight
• 7:46
  streams.
• 7:47
  You
• 7:47
  just
• 7:47
  need
• 7:47
  one
• 7:48
  small
• 7:48
  second
• 7:48
  stream
• 7:49
  that
• 7:49
  reduces
• 7:50
  that
• 7:50
  fear.
• 7:50
  And
• 7:50
  then
• 7:50
  you
• 7:51
  build
• 7:51
  it
• 7:51
  gradually.
• 7:52
  Not
• 7:52
  because
• 7:53
  you're
• 7:53
  acting
• 7:53
  frantically,
• 7:54
  because
• 7:55
  you're
• 7:55
  wise.
• 7:57
  So
• 7:57
  what
• 7:57
  could
• 7:57
  it
• 7:57
  look
• 7:57
  like
• 7:58
  in
• 7:58
  real
• 7:58
  life?
• 7:59
  Maybe
• 7:59
  for
• 7:59
  you,
• 8:00
  it's
• 8:00
  a
• 8:00
  job
• 8:00
  plus
• 8:00
  a
• 8:01
  Saturday
• 8:01
  service
• 8:01
  you
• 8:02
  can
• 8:02
  do
• 8:02
  twice
• 8:02
  a
• 8:02
  month
• 8:02
  just
• 8:02
  to
• 8:03
  add
• 8:03
  a
• 8:03
  little
• 8:03
  bit
• 8:03
  extra
• 8:04
  to
• 8:04
  the
• 8:04
  margin.
• 8:05
  Maybe
• 8:05
  it's
• 8:06
  a
• 8:06
  job
• 8:06
  plus
• 8:06
  a
• 8:06
  skill
• 8:07
  that
• 8:07
  you
• 8:07
  can
• 8:07
  offer
• 8:07
  on
• 8:08
  the
• 8:08
  side.
• 8:08
  We
• 8:08
  talked
• 8:08
  about
• 8:09
  these.
• 8:09
  Bookkeeping.
• 8:10
  Maybe
• 8:10
  you're
• 8:10
  good
• 8:10
  with
• 8:11
  that.
• 8:11
  Tutoring,
• 8:12
  maybe
• 8:12
  some
• 8:13
  handiwork.
• 8:13
  Hey,
• 8:14
  maybe
• 8:14
  you
• 8:14
  like
• 8:14
  to
• 8:14
  bake.
• 8:15
  Or
• 8:16
  maybe
• 8:16
  child
• 8:16
  care.
• 8:17
  Maybe
• 8:18
  it's
• 8:18
  a
• 8:18
  job
• 8:18
  plus
• 8:19
  a
• 8:19
  long
• 8:19
  term
• 8:19
  plan
• 8:19
  to
• 8:20
  invest
• 8:20
  consistently,
• 8:21
  even
• 8:21
  small
• 8:22
  amounts.
• 8:22
  We've
• 8:22
  talked
• 8:22
  about
• 8:22
  that
• 8:23
  on
• 8:23
  the
• 8:23
  show.
• 8:23
  That
• 8:23
  5,
• 8:24
  10,
• 8:24
  $20
• 8:25
  a
• 8:25
  month.
• 8:26
  And
• 8:26
  friend,
• 8:26
  I'm
• 8:26
  not
• 8:26
  asking
• 8:27
  you
• 8:27
  to
• 8:27
  become
• 8:27
  an
• 8:27
  entrepreneur.
• 8:29
  I'm
• 8:29
  just
• 8:29
  asking
• 8:30
  you
• 8:30
  to
• 8:30
  become
• 8:30
  prepared.
• 8:32
  Because
• 8:32
  preparedness
• 8:34
  feels
• 8:34
  like
• 8:34
  peace.
• 8:36
  Which
• 8:36
  leads
• 8:36
  me
• 8:36
  to
• 8:36
  today's
• 8:37
  scripture
• 8:37
  verse.
• 8:37
  It
• 8:37
  comes
• 8:37
  to
• 8:38
  us
• 8:38
  From
• 8:38
  Ecclesiastes
• 8:39
  chapter
• 8:40
  11,
• 8:40
  verse
• 8:40
  2.
• 8:41
  Invest
• 8:42
  in
• 8:42
  seven
• 8:43
  ventures.
• 8:43
  Yes,
• 8:43
  in
• 8:44
  eight.
• 8:45
  For
• 8:45
  you
• 8:45
  do
• 8:45
  not
• 8:46
  know
• 8:46
  what
• 8:46
  disaster
• 8:47
  may
• 8:47
  come
• 8:47
  upon
• 8:48
  the
• 8:48
  land.
• 8:49
  Now
• 8:49
  friend,
• 8:50
  you
• 8:50
  might
• 8:50
  Think
• 8:50
  about
• 8:50
  that
• 8:50
  and
• 8:51
  say,
• 8:51
  well,
• 8:51
  that's
• 8:51
  fear,
• 8:51
  but
• 8:52
  that's
• 8:52
  not
• 8:52
  fear.
• 8:53
  That's
• 8:54
  wisdom.
• 8:54
  See,
• 8:54
  Scripture
• 8:55
  saying
• 8:55
  this,
• 8:55
  you
• 8:56
  don't
• 8:56
  control
• 8:56
  the
• 8:57
  whole
• 8:57
  world,
• 8:58
  so
• 8:58
  plan
• 8:58
  with
• 8:59
  humility.
• 8:59
  And
• 9:00
  I
• 9:00
  love
• 9:00
  that
• 9:01
  because
• 9:01
  it
• 9:01
  leaves
• 9:02
  room
• 9:02
  for
• 9:02
  trust
• 9:02
  and
• 9:03
  stewardship
• 9:03
  together.
• 9:04
  It's
• 9:04
  not
• 9:04
  about
• 9:05
  panic.
• 9:05
  It's
• 9:06
  not
• 9:06
  about
• 9:06
  denial.
• 9:07
  It's
• 9:07
  about
• 9:08
  faith
• 9:08
  with
• 9:08
  wisdom.
• 9:10
  So
• 9:10
  here's
• 9:10
  your
• 9:11
  simple
• 9:11
  step
• 9:11
  for
• 9:11
  today.
• 9:12
  I
• 9:12
  want
• 9:12
  you
• 9:12
  to
• 9:12
  grab
• 9:12
  a
• 9:12
  piece
• 9:13
  of
• 9:13
  paper,
• 9:14
  and
• 9:14
  on
• 9:14
  that
• 9:14
  paper
• 9:14
  I
• 9:15
  want
• 9:15
  you
• 9:15
  to
• 9:15
  write
• 9:15
  this
• 9:15
  heading,
• 9:16
  my
• 9:17
  second
• 9:17
  stream.
• 9:18
  And
• 9:18
  then
• 9:18
  I
• 9:18
  want
• 9:18
  you
• 9:18
  to
• 9:19
  answer
• 9:19
  two
• 9:19
  questions,
• 9:19
  just
• 9:20
  two
• 9:20
  very
• 9:20
  basic
• 9:21
  questions.
• 9:22
  What
• 9:22
  skill
• 9:23
  do
• 9:23
  I
• 9:23
  already
• 9:23
  have
• 9:24
  that
• 9:24
  could
• 9:24
  create
• 9:24
  income?
• 9:25
  That's
• 9:25
  your
• 9:25
  first
• 9:25
  question.
• 9:26
  What's
• 9:26
  one
• 9:26
  skill
• 9:27
  that
• 9:27
  I
• 9:27
  already
• 9:27
  have
• 9:28
  that
• 9:28
  I
• 9:28
  could
• 9:28
  create
• 9:28
  income
• 9:29
  with?
• 9:30
  Second
• 9:30
  question.
• 9:31
  What
• 9:31
  problem
• 9:31
  could
• 9:32
  I
• 9:32
  solve
• 9:32
  for
• 9:32
  someone
• 9:33
  once
• 9:33
  a
• 9:33
  week
• 9:33
  or
• 9:33
  twice
• 9:34
  a
• 9:34
  month?
• 9:34
  Again,
• 9:35
  what
• 9:35
  problem
• 9:36
  could
• 9:36
  I
• 9:36
  solve
• 9:37
  for
• 9:37
  someone
• 9:37
  once
• 9:38
  a
• 9:38
  week
• 9:38
  or
• 9:38
  twice
• 9:39
  a
• 9:39
  month?
• 9:39
  That's
• 9:39
  it.
• 9:40
  No
• 9:40
  pressure
• 9:41
  to
• 9:41
  start
• 9:41
  today.
• 9:41
  Just
• 9:42
  clarity.
• 9:43
  And
• 9:43
  if
• 9:43
  you
• 9:44
  want
• 9:44
  to
• 9:44
  take
• 9:44
  one
• 9:44
  more
• 9:44
  tiny
• 9:45
  step,
• 9:46
  circle
• 9:46
  one
• 9:47
  of
• 9:47
  those
• 9:47
  ideas
• 9:47
  that
• 9:47
  feels
• 9:48
  doable
• 9:49
  and
• 9:49
  write
• 9:49
  this
• 9:50
  one
• 9:50
  sentence.
• 9:51
  This
• 9:51
  week,
• 9:52
  I
• 9:52
  will
• 9:52
  explore
• 9:53
  whatever
• 9:53
  that
• 9:53
  is.
• 9:54
  Now
• 9:54
  I'm
• 9:55
  saying
• 9:55
  explore.
• 9:56
  I'm
• 9:56
  not
• 9:56
  telling
• 9:56
  you
• 9:56
  to
• 9:56
  go
• 9:56
  conquer
• 9:57
  it.
• 9:57
  I'm
• 9:57
  not
• 9:57
  trying
• 9:58
  to
• 9:58
  tell
• 9:58
  you
• 9:58
  to
• 9:58
  go
• 9:58
  build
• 9:59
  it.
• 9:59
  Just
• 9:59
  explore
• 10:00
  it.
• 10:01
  That
• 10:01
  can
• 10:01
  make
• 10:01
  a
• 10:02
  huge
• 10:02
  impact
• 10:02
  on
• 10:02
  your
• 10:03
  life.
• 10:04
  Lord,
• 10:04
  thank
• 10:05
  you
• 10:05
  for
• 10:05
  providing
• 10:05
  for
• 10:06
  us.
• 10:06
  We
• 10:07
  see
• 10:07
  the
• 10:07
  uncertainty
• 10:08
  and
• 10:08
  the
• 10:08
  pressure
• 10:08
  we
• 10:09
  feel.
• 10:10
  You
• 10:10
  see
• 10:10
  the
• 10:10
  bills,
• 10:11
  you
• 10:11
  see
• 10:11
  the
• 10:11
  responsibilities.
• 10:13
  Give
• 10:13
  my
• 10:13
  friend
• 10:14
  wisdom
• 10:14
  and
• 10:14
  not
• 10:15
  panic.
• 10:15
  Give
• 10:16
  them
• 10:16
  creativity
• 10:17
  and
• 10:17
  steady
• 10:18
  courage.
• 10:19
  Help
• 10:19
  them
• 10:19
  take
• 10:19
  one
• 10:20
  small
• 10:20
  step
• 10:20
  towards
• 10:21
  stability
• 10:21
  while
• 10:22
  keeping
• 10:22
  their
• 10:22
  heart
• 10:22
  anchored
• 10:23
  deeply
• 10:23
  in
• 10:23
  you.
• 10:24
  And
• 10:24
  we
• 10:24
  ask
• 10:24
  this
• 10:24
  in
• 10:25
  Jesus
• 10:25
  name,
• 10:26
  Amen,
• 10:27
  friend.
• 10:28
  If
• 10:28
  this
• 10:28
  topic
• 10:28
  hit
• 10:29
  home
• 10:29
  today,
• 10:30
  if
• 10:30
  you
• 10:30
  want
• 10:30
  to
• 10:30
  know,
• 10:31
  you
• 10:31
  don't
• 10:31
  have
• 10:31
  to
• 10:31
  figure
• 10:32
  it
• 10:32
  all
• 10:32
  out
• 10:32
  alone.
• 10:32
  Come
• 10:33
  join
• 10:33
  us
• 10:33
  at
• 10:33
  our
• 10:33
  community
• 10:34
  at
• 10:35
  financiallyconfidentchristian.com/join.
• 10:38
  That's
• 10:38
  financiallyconfidentchristian.com/join.
• 10:41
  And
• 10:41
  it's
• 10:42
  what
• 10:42
  people
• 10:42
  tell
• 10:42
  me
• 10:42
  about
• 10:42
  the
• 10:43
  community.
• 10:43
  They
• 10:43
  say
• 10:44
  they
• 10:44
  feel
• 10:44
  safe
• 10:44
  there,
• 10:46
  like
• 10:46
  they
• 10:46
  finally
• 10:47
  have
• 10:47
  a
• 10:47
  place
• 10:47
  to
• 10:47
  talk
• 10:48
  about
• 10:48
  money
• 10:48
  without
• 10:48
  being
• 10:49
  judged,
• 10:49
  without
• 10:49
  being
• 10:50
  shamed,
• 10:50
  and
• 10:51
  honestly
• 10:51
  without
• 10:51
  feeling
• 10:52
  behind.
• 10:53
  It's
• 10:53
  just
• 10:53
  real
• 10:54
  people
• 10:54
  with
• 10:54
  real
• 10:54
  struggles
• 10:55
  experiencing
• 10:56
  real
• 10:56
  grace
• 10:57
  and
• 10:57
  steady
• 10:57
  steps
• 10:58
  forward.
• 10:58
  And
• 10:59
  friend,
• 10:59
  you
• 10:59
  belong
• 11:00
  there.
• 11:00
  And
• 11:01
  let
• 11:01
  me
• 11:01
  leave
• 11:01
  you
• 11:01
  with
• 11:01
  this
• 11:02
  Today.
• 11:03
  God
• 11:03
  is
• 11:03
  your
• 11:03
  provider,
• 11:05
  but
• 11:05
  wisdom
• 11:05
  helps
• 11:06
  you
• 11:06
  steward
• 11:06
  how
• 11:06
  provision
• 11:07
  flows.
• 11:08
  You
• 11:08
  don't
• 11:08
  need
• 11:08
  to
• 11:09
  panic,
• 11:09
  you
• 11:09
  don't
• 11:10
  need
• 11:10
  to
• 11:10
  rush.
• 11:11
  You
• 11:11
  just
• 11:11
  need
• 11:11
  one
• 11:12
  wise
• 11:12
  next
• 11:12
  step.
• 11:13
  And
• 11:14
  friend,
• 11:14
  you're
• 11:15
  going
• 11:15
  to
• 11:15
  be
• 11:15
  okay.
• 11:16
  Tomorrow
• 11:17
  we're
• 11:17
  going
• 11:17
  to
• 11:17
  talk
• 11:17
  about
• 11:17
  this
• 11:17
  idea
• 11:18
  from
• 11:18
  a
• 11:18
  deeper
• 11:18
  faith
• 11:19
  angle.
• 11:19
  We're
• 11:19
  going
• 11:19
  to
• 11:19
  really
• 11:20
  get
• 11:20
  into
• 11:20
  the
• 11:20
  nitty
• 11:21
  gritty
• 11:21
  of
• 11:21
  this.
• 11:21
  And
• 11:21
  I'm
• 11:22
  going
• 11:22
  to
• 11:22
  pose
• 11:22
  this
• 11:22
  question.
• 11:23
  Who
• 11:24
  really
• 11:24
  provides
• 11:25
  your
• 11:25
  income?
• 11:26
  It's
• 11:26
  going
• 11:26
  to
• 11:26
  get
• 11:27
  deep
• 11:27
  tomorrow.
• 11:28
  And
• 11:28
  if
• 11:28
  today
• 11:29
  helped
• 11:29
  you,
• 11:29
  I
• 11:29
  want
• 11:29
  to
• 11:29
  encourage
• 11:30
  you
• 11:30
  to
• 11:30
  share
• 11:30
  with
• 11:30
  somebody
• 11:30
  who's
• 11:31
  been
• 11:31
  quietly
• 11:32
  scared
• 11:32
  about
• 11:32
  money.
• 11:32
  There
• 11:33
  are
• 11:33
  so
• 11:33
  many
• 11:33
  people
• 11:33
  out
• 11:33
  there
• 11:34
  scared
• 11:34
  about
• 11:34
  money.
• 11:35
  Just
• 11:35
  share
• 11:35
  the
• 11:35
  show
• 11:36
  with
• 11:36
  them.
• 11:37
  Because
• 11:37
  this
• 11:37
  show
• 11:37
  isn't
• 11:38
  about
• 11:38
  financial
• 11:38
  shame.
• 11:39
  It's
• 11:39
  about
• 11:39
  learning
• 11:40
  to
• 11:40
  walk
• 11:40
  in
• 11:40
  wisdom,
• 11:41
  staying
• 11:41
  anchored
• 11:42
  in
• 11:42
  Christ,
• 11:43
  and
• 11:43
  truly
• 11:44
  becoming
• 11:44
  a
• 11:45
  financially
• 11:45
  confident
• 11:46
  Christian.
• 11:46
  God
• 11:47
  bless
• 11:47
  you,
• 11:47
  friend,
• 11:47
  and
• 11:47
  make
• 11:48
  sure
• 11:48
  you
• 11:48
  come
• 11:48
  and
• 11:48
  join
• 11:48
  me
• 11:48
  tomorrow
• 11:49
  on
• 11:49
  the
• 11:49
  show.
