- 0:05Speaker 1: On it options. That's us.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Hi.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Welcome the book watchers. Yeah, I'm recording and it's been
- 0:32Speaker 3: recording this whole time. Who cares. Yeah, I am recording.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Uh.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Hi, Welcome the book watchers. I am one of your hosts, Devin.
- 0:43Speaker 3: And today, of course, we have the one, the only,
- 0:47Speaker 3: thea a faggot. It's gum coum to the bottom of
- 0:55Speaker 3: the gum, bottom of the of the bottom of your shoe. Okaying, Yeah,
- 1:00Speaker 3: the beautiful, studying, the amazing, the annoying, overcaffeinated, over caffeinated.
- 1:10Speaker 1: No, there's no such thing as overcaffeinated.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yes there is, Yes, there is.
- 1:14Speaker 1: There's such thing as not enough caffeine.
- 1:16Speaker 3: That means a drug, you know, Jacob, A legal drug,
- 1:20Speaker 3: A legal drug. You're right, a legal drug. You're right,
- 1:23Speaker 3: You're right.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So life has been lifing.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Life has been lifing.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yes, we are, Like, we're almost halfway through Pride Month,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and we were planning on doing a lot more Pride content,
- 1:42Speaker 1: but life was literally fucking us the last couple of weeks.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yeah, and we're gonna have all the episodes done for
- 1:49Speaker 3: Pride Month, but I want but we wanted them done
- 1:51Speaker 3: sooner than last minute. But life is lifing.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So life is lifing. It's homophobic that life has life
- 1:58Speaker 1: this on the sacred month. Yeah, and you know, now
- 2:01Speaker 1: that we're on the topic of pride, I learned something
- 2:03Speaker 1: interesting recently that, like, you know, with like with with
- 2:06Speaker 1: the political situation here in the US, like especially with
- 2:11Speaker 1: Trump pushing out like pride related LGBTQ related holidays and
- 2:17Speaker 1: you know support uh. You know, other states, like especially
- 2:22Speaker 1: like Red states are like also jumping on that bandwagon.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So in certain states, their pride Pride Month is no
- 2:31Speaker 1: longer has completely been like replaced with Family month or
- 2:35Speaker 1: family like something to do with family, right, because like somehow,
- 2:39Speaker 1: like because somehow being gay challenges the idea of family
- 2:44Speaker 1: apparently apparently like we have families, like gay people have
- 2:49Speaker 1: families too. You know, we may not be we may
- 2:51Speaker 1: not you know, be able to pop out kids every
- 2:53Speaker 1: few years like normal traditional families are. But we have families, Okay,
- 3:00Speaker 1: but still, you know, I'm sure we're trying not to
- 3:03Speaker 1: let that bother us.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Hayter's gonna hate.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Hater's gonna hate. We're still here, We're loud, we're gonna get,
- 3:09Speaker 1: We're allowed and in your face about it. So yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 1: get because just as they're loud and they're in our
- 3:14Speaker 1: faces about it too, so.
- 3:17Speaker 3: We don't Yeah, no, yeah, I know, my faggy ass
- 3:21Speaker 3: ain't going anywhere. Du fuck mm.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Hmmm, No, no sir, We're here to stay, all right.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So and so we're gonna we're gonna continue celebrating. You know,
- 3:34Speaker 1: we we have pridelyging scoring on like all month, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: we're gonna be doing some stuff like we're gonna be
- 3:39Speaker 1: doing some like gay ship like we're gonna be making
- 3:42Speaker 1: some gay concert for you guys. Yeah, all right, all.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Right, So before we get to today's episode on more
- 3:50Speaker 3: Gate our queer content, if you look at the description blow,
- 3:55Speaker 3: you'll see a link he link to a link tree
- 3:56Speaker 3: that I'll take you to the other podcast I'm being
- 3:59Speaker 3: on avoid family podcasts, as well as the Patreon place
- 4:02Speaker 3: goes to grab all that usual shtick. I yeah. So
- 4:08Speaker 3: getting in today's episode, we're continuing on with our Pride
- 4:11Speaker 3: Month theme, of course, and today is not gonna be
- 4:15Speaker 3: a smutty book. That's next week. Today we're doing a cute,
- 4:20Speaker 3: cutesy gay love story with the one the Only Jacob
- 4:27Speaker 3: because he hates smut No, he doesn't, he doesn't hate smart.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Smart's my department.
- 4:32Speaker 1: So yeah, Devin, it's clear that Devan does better in
- 4:35Speaker 1: the smut department. I've read my fair fair Shriff smut,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and I was thinking about reviewing more smutty books for
- 4:42Speaker 1: you guys, but but I said, let's do something a
- 4:45Speaker 1: little bit more wholesome.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yes, you got some wholesomeness too.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yes, because the thing is that, unfortunately, the unfortunate thing
- 4:52Speaker 1: about our community is that sex is a very big
- 4:57Speaker 1: part of the gay community. Is because that's really well,
- 5:00Speaker 1: because I mean unfortunately, like it's not just like because
- 5:02Speaker 1: that's what we made our community about. It's also like
- 5:05Speaker 1: what the haters have made our community about, because they
- 5:08Speaker 1: make us out to be sexual devians and we're here,
- 5:11Speaker 1: like we're here to prove them. Well, we kind of
- 5:14Speaker 1: prove them right, but in a good way, in a
- 5:16Speaker 1: good way, all right, we prove them right, Like yeah,
- 5:19Speaker 1: we yeah, we're not having sex traditional way. Oh my god,
- 5:23Speaker 1: we're not having missionary sex. I mean some of us are.
- 5:25Speaker 1: But you know, anyway, let's like, like today I wanted
- 5:30Speaker 1: to like not make it about sex. Okay. Sex is great, okay,
- 5:35Speaker 1: all right, especially when it's two dudes in my opinion,
- 5:39Speaker 1: but like, we need more wholesome content. Yes, our community
- 5:45Speaker 1: isn't always about sex, Okay, It's also about family, it's
- 5:48Speaker 1: about coming together, it's about building it's about building relationships,
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's about all right, it's about coming together as a community. Okay,
- 5:56Speaker 1: we need we need more wholesome stuff. So I decided
- 6:00Speaker 1: today we're gonna review a an l an lgbt I
- 6:05Speaker 1: ah QT book called All That's Left in the World
- 6:10Speaker 1: by Eric J. Brown. So this is a this is
- 6:12Speaker 1: actually a young adult novel. H Yeah. When I for this,
- 6:18Speaker 1: this book was on my read was on my Amazon
- 6:21Speaker 1: reading list, and I had gotten it as a I
- 6:24Speaker 1: think it was either a birthday gift or a Christmas gift.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And I finally gotten around to reading a couple to
- 6:28Speaker 1: reading it a couple of months ago, and it was
- 6:31Speaker 1: really nice. It was a nice little break from all
- 6:34Speaker 1: the serious novels that I've been reading and also some
- 6:36Speaker 1: of the smutty novels that I've all that I've been
- 6:38Speaker 1: reading too, because there's no smut it's uh, it's it's
- 6:43Speaker 1: definitely like it's it's a coming it's a some somewhat
- 6:46Speaker 1: of a coming of age novel as well. As a
- 6:51Speaker 1: like coming together. It takes place in a poke poke
- 6:55Speaker 1: pop the post. Yeah, I need to like hello, Hello.
- 7:07Speaker 1: It's up my eyeside my ear, like like Joe Sanagato
- 7:11Speaker 1: in the basement yard whenever he likedrips whatever he stutters,
- 7:15Speaker 1: he's just like turns around, picks up his phone, just
- 7:17Speaker 1: like hello. Anyway, it's a pope. It is a post
- 7:28Speaker 1: apocalyptic novel. This book was actually uh. This is actually
- 7:34Speaker 1: released like post in the post pandemic world. So it's
- 7:39Speaker 1: definitely written at the height of the pandemic scare, all right,
- 7:43Speaker 1: because by in twenty twenty two, life had more or
- 7:47Speaker 1: less got me most of us, most of you guys
- 7:49Speaker 1: know what life was like during during the pandemic and
- 7:52Speaker 1: after the pandemic. For for all of our overseas listeners.
- 7:56Speaker 1: In the US, it was a mess, okay, because people
- 8:00Speaker 1: don't listen, all right, and the rest of the world,
- 8:04Speaker 1: the pandemic only lasted a few months or like a
- 8:06Speaker 1: few weeks. Because you listen to your government. You you
- 8:10Speaker 1: listen to the UH to UH to the who. You
- 8:12Speaker 1: listen to the World Health Organization. You stayed inside. He
- 8:15Speaker 1: does social distance. You wore masks, okay, you you put
- 8:19Speaker 1: your lives on hold just for like a few months, right,
- 8:23Speaker 1: just a few months, and it went away, all right.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You were able to go back to go back to
- 8:28Speaker 1: your life like normal. Here in the US, it was
- 8:31Speaker 1: not that. It was not that simple. Because here in
- 8:34Speaker 1: the US we are called the land of the Free
- 8:36Speaker 1: for a reason, because we have the right of we
- 8:38Speaker 1: have the freedom to choose. And unfortunately, when the government
- 8:41Speaker 1: starts telling us that, hey, you're not going to be
- 8:44Speaker 1: for the next few months, you're not going to have
- 8:45Speaker 1: the freedom to go out and get a haircut like
- 8:49Speaker 1: you want, or go do or go to a bar
- 8:52Speaker 1: like you want, or or have fun like you want.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You need to stay inside. You need social distance, You
- 8:56Speaker 1: need to wear your masks. No, because Americans being Americans,
- 9:00Speaker 1: wanted to fight every step of the way. And because
- 9:04Speaker 1: of that, the pandemic for us. Did it last a
- 9:07Speaker 1: few weeks or a few months. It lasted almost two
- 9:10Speaker 1: fucking years. Yeah, I sure did, Okay, So because like so,
- 9:17Speaker 1: the thing is is, like we followed the who the
- 9:19Speaker 1: like most of us did follow the follow the World
- 9:23Speaker 1: Health organizations. Uh they we followed their guidelines. We social distance.
- 9:29Speaker 1: A lot of us did social distance. We did stay
- 9:31Speaker 1: home if we were exposed. All right, we quarantined and
- 9:35Speaker 1: there was like a solid like month month and a
- 9:37Speaker 1: half where we were like all at home, pretty much
- 9:40Speaker 1: everything paused. Frontline workers were still on the front lines
- 9:43Speaker 1: at the time. Devin and I were fortunate enough to
- 9:46Speaker 1: have been employed by Wait, Devin, were you still working
- 9:49Speaker 1: at the museum at that time, or did they already
- 9:51Speaker 1: let you go.
- 9:53Speaker 3: For the initial Yeah, for the initial pandemic when we
- 9:58Speaker 3: were on lockdown for those few months, I was still
- 10:01Speaker 3: working there. I didn't get let go till the till
- 10:04Speaker 3: that October when we were already back on like working
- 10:07Speaker 3: every day.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Yeah. So, so we were fortunate because we worked for
- 10:13Speaker 1: a museum which was a nonprofit, and the board actually
- 10:16Speaker 1: voted to the board of directors of the museum actually
- 10:19Speaker 1: voted to not only keep all of their employees, but
- 10:23Speaker 1: they voted to continue to pay us all right, so
- 10:26Speaker 1: we were still getting were still getting paid. Okay, they
- 10:29Speaker 1: still needed security staff at the museum, so, but it
- 10:34Speaker 1: was very skeletal and we were all social distancing. So
- 10:37Speaker 1: we so we literally one day out of the week
- 10:38Speaker 1: we would just come in sit at the desk for
- 10:41Speaker 1: maybe like four like about four hours half the day
- 10:43Speaker 1: and then once the next person comes in and releaves us,
- 10:46Speaker 1: we like come thoroughly wipe down the station we were
- 10:48Speaker 1: at and then we can leave.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Yep.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Right, so it was pretty good. We were all chilling.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Like literally, I've been so many TV shows I like,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I went played like so much many games, like video
- 11:01Speaker 1: games that I've been on the back burner for years, right,
- 11:04Speaker 1: all these like I played so many games. It was
- 11:07Speaker 1: like I missed honestly, I missed the pandemic because like
- 11:10Speaker 1: it was just like I'm an introvert and that was
- 11:13Speaker 1: like a that's an introvert sweat dream, just literally staying
- 11:15Speaker 1: home getting paid to do nothing. All right, I was living.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Everyone else was crying and like, oh I can't be
- 11:21Speaker 1: a social butterfly, and I'm over here like pathetic, I'm
- 11:26Speaker 1: in my lane. I'm chilling all right. Built near the end, admittedly,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I wanted to start working out more. But and I
- 11:33Speaker 1: started going on hikes some like, and ORD find like
- 11:35Speaker 1: hiking trails that were very like you know, not very
- 11:38Speaker 1: like not well used or like very like more the
- 11:40Speaker 1: lesser known hiking trails in my area. And I was
- 11:43Speaker 1: like doing that more often. I was taking my dog
- 11:45Speaker 1: with me. I wanted to buy a bike, but unfortunately
- 11:48Speaker 1: everyone else was buying bikes because they had nothing better
- 11:51Speaker 1: to do, so I couldn't buy it. Because so the
- 11:53Speaker 1: one bike that I was able to that I wanted,
- 11:55Speaker 1: that was perfect for me was gone, like was already
- 11:58Speaker 1: sold out. So I missed out on that. Yeah, but anyway,
- 12:02Speaker 1: it took almost two years for the United States to
- 12:05Speaker 1: get back pretty much more or less back to normal. Right,
- 12:09Speaker 1: even though we all went back to we all went
- 12:11Speaker 1: back to work, we still had to social distance to
- 12:14Speaker 1: the extreme. We had to quarantine if we were exposed.
- 12:17Speaker 1: We uh, and then like for a solid year, we
- 12:21Speaker 1: still had to wear masks in social distance. Yeah, okay,
- 12:24Speaker 1: And then it wasn't until like twenty twenty, like closer
- 12:27Speaker 1: to twenty twenty two, like halfway through twenty twenty two.
- 12:29Speaker 1: That's when they started like loosening up the rules on
- 12:32Speaker 1: wearing masks, and a lot of people in America really
- 12:35Speaker 1: hated wearing the masks. I didn't like wearing the mask,
- 12:37Speaker 1: but I weren't anyway because I did not want to
- 12:39Speaker 1: catch COVID period. I really did not want to catch
- 12:42Speaker 1: COVID all right, especially at least not before we got
- 12:45Speaker 1: our vaccines, like we and we didn't get the vaccinations
- 12:48Speaker 1: until like mid like early mid twenty twenty one. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: or was it twenty twenty two?
- 12:54Speaker 3: It was twenty twenty one. Yeah, Its finny why I
- 12:56Speaker 3: think it was twenty twenty one.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I think it was like the first rounds and then
- 12:59Speaker 1: the second rounds in the boosters. You know, I'm twenty two.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And either way, like it was hell for us, and
- 13:05Speaker 1: it's our own fault because we unfortunately our country is
- 13:09Speaker 1: full of stupid people. I mean, you find stupid people anywhere,
- 13:11Speaker 1: but you know here in America we have to be
- 13:13Speaker 1: very extra about it because you know America, all right,
- 13:18Speaker 1: And you know, I like my mother was a hairstylist,
- 13:21Speaker 1: and so many of her clients were were like getting
- 13:23Speaker 1: up her ass trying to get her to like do
- 13:25Speaker 1: house calls for them so they can like continue with
- 13:28Speaker 1: their routine of making sure their hair is pretty. Like
- 13:30Speaker 1: I'm like, bitch, you are at home. Who are you
- 13:35Speaker 1: trying to impress the husband that you don't want to
- 13:37Speaker 1: sleep with anymore? Like who are you trying to impress? Okay, damn,
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm really no. I'm like this is like like it's
- 13:47Speaker 1: twenty twenty six. There's so much repressed anger from that
- 13:50Speaker 1: time period that like every now and then, I just
- 13:53Speaker 1: have to let it out because I just want to
- 13:54Speaker 1: remind the people, like my fellow Americans, my fellow Americans,
- 13:58Speaker 1: we're we are all fucking idiots, all right, if you like.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure most of us know at least one
- 14:06Speaker 1: or two people who was exactly like that during the
- 14:08Speaker 1: pandemic who was crying because they couldn't go to the bar,
- 14:11Speaker 1: go play golf with their buddies, who was crying because
- 14:14Speaker 1: they couldn't get their hair done. Okay. I literally had
- 14:17Speaker 1: an uncle who did not get his haircut for three
- 14:20Speaker 1: years straight, all right. By the end of it. That
- 14:22Speaker 1: dude had a long had a Maine. Okay, that dude
- 14:26Speaker 1: had a Maine. Still he was like, no, like I'm
- 14:28Speaker 1: not going I'm not getting a haircut on soul. We're
- 14:30Speaker 1: like absolutely certain that like it's okay to like start
- 14:33Speaker 1: going out and doing this, yeah, all right, like when
- 14:36Speaker 1: like restrictions have been let up. Okay. He was smart
- 14:39Speaker 1: about it. Okay, me I was too, But luckily for me,
- 14:42Speaker 1: my mom's a hairstylist, so she could cut my hair
- 14:44Speaker 1: at home, so like it's it was a win and.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Win for me, but still I did not go out.
- 14:50Speaker 4: But yet there were so many people crying about not
- 14:52Speaker 4: being able to go out, and it would still go out,
- 14:54Speaker 4: and and the fucking virus kept getting spread left and right,
- 14:59Speaker 4: y'all they were.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You know, my country is full of idiots, and that's
- 15:03Speaker 1: why our country took so long to recover from COVID
- 15:06Speaker 1: all right, to go back to normal, you know, And
- 15:10Speaker 1: most other countries don't really have that much that you know,
- 15:12Speaker 1: as far as I know, COVID is not really like
- 15:15Speaker 1: doesn't really have that any major outbreaks in other countries. Here,
- 15:19Speaker 1: we literally have COVID season. Now, COVID season has inserted
- 15:25Speaker 1: itself in our yearly to do we have flu season
- 15:29Speaker 1: and we also have rona season.
- 15:32Speaker 3: It's the same season for those years.
- 15:33Speaker 1: It's literally the same season. So like now instead of
- 15:36Speaker 1: wondering like if the flu is going to come to knocking, no,
- 15:39Speaker 1: you gotta worry about miss Rona knocking too.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 1: So anyway, now that so Brant's over, this book is
- 15:46Speaker 1: taking place was definitely written like it was written in
- 15:50Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. It was it was published in twenty
- 15:53Speaker 1: twenty two, I should say, and it was definitely writing
- 15:56Speaker 1: the post pandemic fears because you know, a lot back then,
- 16:01Speaker 1: a lot of people were very scared about, like what
- 16:04Speaker 1: if this happens again, what if there was another pandemic,
- 16:06Speaker 1: because especially here in America, we can't we can't afford
- 16:09Speaker 1: to go through another pandemic like that. Literally, So in
- 16:15Speaker 1: this so in all that's left in the world, that
- 16:18Speaker 1: is exactly what happens. So like COVID did happen in
- 16:20Speaker 1: this book, all right, they recovered from it, but then
- 16:23Speaker 1: a few years later, the superflute happens. This time it's
- 16:27Speaker 1: even worse than the coronavirus. It actually kills billions of people.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Society collapses, all right, and now what's left is basically
- 16:39Speaker 1: this kind of this post apocalyptic Last of Us style
- 16:45Speaker 1: type world. All right. People are trying are struggling to survive,
- 16:48Speaker 1: all right. There's rumors going around of like government organizations
- 16:52Speaker 1: trying to like, you know, gather up the survivors, you know,
- 16:57Speaker 1: like trying to like re establish order like across the
- 16:59Speaker 1: world world. But you know, it's all at this point,
- 17:03Speaker 1: like in the beginning, it's all just that just rumors
- 17:06Speaker 1: but the story centers around two young two younger guys,
- 17:12Speaker 1: Jamie and Andrew. So Jamie, so each one comes from
- 17:18Speaker 1: different backgrounds. Jamie, he comes from a more or less
- 17:22Speaker 1: privileged background. His mom was a doctor. She was actually
- 17:26Speaker 1: on the front lines of both the both pandemics, and
- 17:30Speaker 1: when this super flu occurred, she instead of staying around
- 17:33Speaker 1: to try to help more and more people, she actually
- 17:35Speaker 1: got smart and decided, all right, there's She figured. She realized, this,
- 17:40Speaker 1: this flu is just too much. We don't have enough support.
- 17:43Speaker 1: So she packed up her son and they drove up
- 17:46Speaker 1: to their cabin. They drove to the cabin. This is
- 17:50Speaker 1: all happening in the This is all happening like in
- 17:53Speaker 1: the in the northeast, like in the New England area.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think this is like somewhere between Boston and New York,
- 18:01Speaker 1: so like fairy rural area. She took her son Andrew
- 18:04Speaker 1: to excuse me, she took her son, Jamie to to
- 18:08Speaker 1: their to their family cabin. They she had stopped up
- 18:11Speaker 1: on like like meats, can can goods, excuse me, medical supplies,
- 18:20Speaker 1: all this shit right, so they were ready to like
- 18:23Speaker 1: they were ready to survive. Unfortunately for Jamie, his mom
- 18:27Speaker 1: ended up contracting the super flu and she died. And
- 18:30Speaker 1: this was very traumatic for Jamie because the thing is
- 18:33Speaker 1: his mom being very practical. She had written an entire
- 18:37Speaker 1: journal for him listing like different ailments, different treatments like
- 18:41Speaker 1: for like common like injuries like broken legs all right,
- 18:46Speaker 1: like broken legs, abrasions, burns right, treating certain sicknesses right
- 18:51Speaker 1: like easy things that like things that even a kid,
- 18:55Speaker 1: like a teenager can do right. And when she contracted
- 19:00Speaker 1: the virus, she also had a planned because she did
- 19:03Speaker 1: not want to suffer the way she did not want
- 19:07Speaker 1: herself want to suffer the way other people she had
- 19:09Speaker 1: seen other people suffer from this virus, because like towards
- 19:12Speaker 1: the end, the virus causes extreme delirium, so like you're
- 19:16Speaker 1: basically going they're basically going through like a massive freak
- 19:20Speaker 1: out towards the end, delirium to the point where you're
- 19:24Speaker 1: not it's not you're it's not pretty, you're not just
- 19:27Speaker 1: going peacefully, all right. And she now this is where
- 19:31Speaker 1: it kind of gets fucked up, because she wanted her
- 19:34Speaker 1: son to administer a lethal dose of medications to her,
- 19:41Speaker 1: or like she was going to try to do it
- 19:42Speaker 1: herself before she got she was too far gone, and
- 19:46Speaker 1: she wanted her she wanted Jamie to help her do it.
- 19:48Speaker 1: The thing is, Jamie did not want to do that
- 19:50Speaker 1: because this is his mother. Okay, he's just a kid.
- 19:53Speaker 1: He did not want to kill his own mother, right
- 19:57Speaker 1: to to oh like cause like to cause an overdose
- 20:01Speaker 1: in his mom. So what he ended up doing was
- 20:04Speaker 1: he ended up hiding her medicine and hoping for and
- 20:07Speaker 1: wanted to hope for the best. Unfortunately, the best did
- 20:10Speaker 1: not happen, and her death was very I don't want
- 20:13Speaker 1: to say violent, but it was very It was brutal,
- 20:17Speaker 1: you know, she was she went, she went, She entered
- 20:19Speaker 1: the delirious state before eventually dying from from the complications
- 20:24Speaker 1: of the virus. UH. He was forced to bury her
- 20:27Speaker 1: in their outside their cabin, and for months or guy,
- 20:31Speaker 1: he was alone. But eventually our second protagonist stumbles into
- 20:37Speaker 1: the stumbles into the story. Our second protagonist is a
- 20:41Speaker 1: boy about the same age, like seventeen eighteen years old,
- 20:45Speaker 1: same as Andrew. Now Andrew comes from like a completely
- 20:48Speaker 1: different walk of life.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Like.
- 20:51Speaker 1: So the thing about Andrew is that like he like,
- 20:54Speaker 1: he was raised by a single by a single dad,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and he had a and he had a He had
- 20:59Speaker 1: a younger sister, and I think he had another. He
- 21:01Speaker 1: had a couple of other siblings, but doesn't really like
- 21:03Speaker 1: go in so much detail of that. During the pandemic,
- 21:07Speaker 1: during the second outbreak, his dad was traveling for work.
- 21:11Speaker 1: His dad was like stuck around, but it was often
- 21:14Speaker 1: but part of his work, he was often traveling, and
- 21:17Speaker 1: towards the end, his dad actually like his dad, contracted
- 21:20Speaker 1: the virus, and rather than stay and expose his children,
- 21:24Speaker 1: he ends up leaving and or Andrew doesn't know like
- 21:28Speaker 1: like what exactly happened to his dad, but it is
- 21:31Speaker 1: assumed that his dad, in order to protect his kids,
- 21:34Speaker 1: left and later died from the virus, so Andrew was
- 21:38Speaker 1: left fending for himself and his younger sister. Unfortunately, his
- 21:41Speaker 1: sister also contracted the virus and dies, So rather than
- 21:44Speaker 1: stick around in Boston, he decides to leave and head
- 21:48Speaker 1: south because he learned that there was possibly He learned
- 21:54Speaker 1: it as like after the worst of it had ended
- 21:57Speaker 1: and like pretty much society had fallen apart. He learned
- 22:00Speaker 1: that the like this world's version of the World Health
- 22:03Speaker 1: Organization was gathering was actually had actually like organized enough
- 22:12Speaker 1: to like beg in like re establishing border. Like they
- 22:16Speaker 1: heard rumors that in Europe the virus had been better
- 22:19Speaker 1: taken care of, so that the the European Union had
- 22:23Speaker 1: decided to send aid to the US. Right, But the
- 22:26Speaker 1: thing is is that they weren't really going to stay
- 22:29Speaker 1: in the US. The aid was basically just an evacuation.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So if you and he started seeing like graffiti signs
- 22:38Speaker 1: popping up everywhere saying like go to Washington, d C.
- 22:41Speaker 1: To meet the to meet the EU relief forces. And
- 22:46Speaker 1: there's like a certain time limit for when like they're
- 22:49Speaker 1: going to like completely pack up and just leave. So
- 22:55Speaker 1: Andrews starts making his way down south. He wants to
- 22:58Speaker 1: make it see d see so he can because he
- 23:01Speaker 1: hopes that there's a chance that they would be able
- 23:04Speaker 1: to that he would be able to find the relief
- 23:10Speaker 1: the relief forces and maybe find safety. Now, Andrew, Something's
- 23:15Speaker 1: happened to Andrew across along this along his journey, and
- 23:21Speaker 1: some things that he actually ends up later keeping from
- 23:24Speaker 1: Jamie because he's afraid of what would what would happen
- 23:27Speaker 1: if he told Jamie what happened, Because you know, in
- 23:29Speaker 1: this kind of in this kind of world, you do
- 23:31Speaker 1: what you need to do to survive.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah, and he had.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Unfortunately, some things happened he had to he was forced
- 23:41Speaker 1: to defend himself and now he like it. And because
- 23:45Speaker 1: of that, he is living what he lives now with
- 23:47Speaker 1: a lot of regret, a lot of guilt, and there's
- 23:52Speaker 1: a part of him trying to reach the the the
- 23:55Speaker 1: ease relief forces. He also wants to try to make
- 23:59Speaker 1: amends with some people that with some people that he
- 24:03Speaker 1: had that he had met along the way. But while
- 24:08Speaker 1: he's traveling, he's taking he's taking a lot of like
- 24:11Speaker 1: he's trying his best to stay off the road, try
- 24:13Speaker 1: not to like stay on He's trying not to stay
- 24:15Speaker 1: anywhere near the main roads because it because that's pretty
- 24:18Speaker 1: much where like how he got in that situation in
- 24:19Speaker 1: the first place. So he goes off. He goes off
- 24:22Speaker 1: the road, takes a lot of back roads and trails,
- 24:25Speaker 1: and at one point he ends up stepping in a
- 24:28Speaker 1: bear trap so severely injures his leg, injures his leg,
- 24:32Speaker 1: you know, lacerations in his leg and breaks and it
- 24:35Speaker 1: actually breaks his leg too. So fortunately for him, he
- 24:39Speaker 1: wasn't that far from Jamie's cabin. So he ends up
- 24:43Speaker 1: managing to stumble his way to the to the cabin,
- 24:46Speaker 1: where he or Andrew encounters Jamie. Jamie, being scared of
- 24:50Speaker 1: the strain of a strange boy showing up on his doorstep,
- 24:53Speaker 1: pulls his rifle, the rifle his mom left for him,
- 24:56Speaker 1: and uh and threatened, threatened to Andrew, like own company
- 25:00Speaker 1: culture all, pull the trigger. But Andrew, like with his
- 25:06Speaker 1: legs so badly hurt, couldn't go and couldn't go any
- 25:09Speaker 1: further and couldn't bring himself to leave, so he just
- 25:11Speaker 1: basically like fell to his knees and just like I
- 25:14Speaker 1: can't go anywhere my leg's hurt. I'm like, you do,
- 25:19Speaker 1: do what you have to do, Like I can't go
- 25:21Speaker 1: any further. And Jamie taking kitty on on Andrew and
- 25:26Speaker 1: also and also Jamie being unable to pull the trigger,
- 25:29Speaker 1: ends up taking Andrew in and nurses him back to health.
- 25:33Speaker 1: So it's a little cautious at first, he administers He's
- 25:36Speaker 1: a little cautious at first, of course, he administers first
- 25:39Speaker 1: aid and splints Andrew's leg. He's cautious and very hesitant
- 25:45Speaker 1: to like reveal too much to Andrew, But as they
- 25:48Speaker 1: spend more time together, they begin to learn to trust.
- 25:53Speaker 1: They begins to trust each other more, and the thing
- 25:56Speaker 1: is they both are hiding stuff from each other. Jamie
- 26:01Speaker 1: doesn't really want to talk about what happens to his mom,
- 26:03Speaker 1: and Andrew doesn't want to talk about what happened like that,
- 26:07Speaker 1: what happened to him with some strangers he met on
- 26:10Speaker 1: the On the road, Andrew does tell Jamie that he
- 26:14Speaker 1: was trying to make his way south to d C
- 26:17Speaker 1: because of the European Union's relief effort, and even offers
- 26:22Speaker 1: to take Jamie with him because he points out that
- 26:25Speaker 1: while his cabin is very well stuck and he can
- 26:28Speaker 1: he can stay probably for like a a couple of
- 26:31Speaker 1: years there with no like without needing any new supplies.
- 26:36Speaker 1: He points out that eventually it's going to run out.
- 26:39Speaker 1: He can't stay here alone. Jamie's reluctant and wants to
- 26:42Speaker 1: just stay, and at one point Andrew, like after like
- 26:45Speaker 1: becoming more friendly with Jamie, actually wants to stay too,
- 26:49Speaker 1: but unfortunately things don't work out that way. While while
- 26:56Speaker 1: Jamie was doing his chores around the house and around
- 26:58Speaker 1: his around the problem, he notices that by one he
- 27:02Speaker 1: noticed he started, he finds some burned cigarette butts near
- 27:06Speaker 1: one of the near like one of the outhouses of
- 27:09Speaker 1: his cabin, and like near the barn outside his cabin,
- 27:12Speaker 1: like the little storage barn by his cabin, and make
- 27:15Speaker 1: being extra cautious. Jamie tries to keep stay on alert.
- 27:20Speaker 1: But fortunately his extra caution doesn't really come to anything,
- 27:23Speaker 1: because doesn't really stop anything, because a few days later
- 27:28Speaker 1: he finds that a group of people are approaching his cabin. Now,
- 27:33Speaker 1: of course, he gets his gun tells him to stay back,
- 27:35Speaker 1: but they have guns of their own. And the people
- 27:37Speaker 1: tell him that they know that he has stockpile supplies,
- 27:42Speaker 1: and they tell him that there is that there's actually
- 27:44Speaker 1: a large community not that far from the cabin, and
- 27:48Speaker 1: the problem is is that this community had The problem
- 27:52Speaker 1: is this community had pretty much stripped the entire surrounding
- 27:57Speaker 1: area clean of any like salvageable resources. So like they've
- 28:02Speaker 1: already ransacked the local supermarkets, other supply stores, they ransacked
- 28:08Speaker 1: pretty much every pharmacy, every hospital in the area. And
- 28:12Speaker 1: they're very and they're running very low on supplies. Uh.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Jamie had actually encountered these guys, had actually had a
- 28:19Speaker 1: run in with these guys at one point, because at
- 28:21Speaker 1: one point he did need to run into into town
- 28:25Speaker 1: to try to find more supplies like mainly just supplies
- 28:28Speaker 1: like mainly medical supplies, as well as some hardware hardware
- 28:33Speaker 1: supplies to make some repairs around his house. And then
- 28:35Speaker 1: he ran, of course ran across these people. He managed
- 28:38Speaker 1: to avoid them, but still he knew that these guys
- 28:43Speaker 1: were bad news. The thing is is that because there
- 28:45Speaker 1: was more of them and only him and Andrew and
- 28:48Speaker 1: only Jamie and Andrew in the house, they were able
- 28:50Speaker 1: to they threatened them enough. They basically intimidated the boys
- 28:54Speaker 1: enough to where uh, Jamie was forced to put his
- 28:57Speaker 1: gun down. They uh, these guys came into the house,
- 29:02Speaker 1: they took all of the can goods, and they didn't luckily,
- 29:07Speaker 1: they didn't see the They didn't see that there was
- 29:10Speaker 1: a freezer full of venison and other meats, so they
- 29:14Speaker 1: didn't take that, and they didn't take and they while
- 29:18Speaker 1: they ransacked the house, they didn't find and they didn't
- 29:20Speaker 1: find Jamie' hidden supply of medicine and they didn't see that.
- 29:25Speaker 1: They didn't notice the journal that he has that is
- 29:28Speaker 1: his mother's journal full of like you know, medical full
- 29:31Speaker 1: of medical tips. So they mainly take the just all
- 29:35Speaker 1: the can goods and other like other household essentials. And
- 29:39Speaker 1: now basically Andrew and Jamie are left with nothing only
- 29:43Speaker 1: just like with meat goods, like frozen meat goods that
- 29:46Speaker 1: would probably only last them for a few months. So
- 29:50Speaker 1: after these guys leave, like one of them, the one
- 29:54Speaker 1: of the like, it's funny, these guys robbed them, right,
- 29:56Speaker 1: and then as they're they're like, if you want, like,
- 29:58Speaker 1: if you want, you could come join us, all right,
- 30:02Speaker 1: and like both Andrew and Jamie kind of give each
- 30:04Speaker 1: other this side. I like, yeah, right, join the people
- 30:06Speaker 1: who literally just robbed us at gunpoint, right, so Jamie.
- 30:12Speaker 1: So the thing is is that like both boys are
- 30:15Speaker 1: feeling very like down on their luck. Andrew feels guilt
- 30:20Speaker 1: ridden because he feels like his arrival had somehow brought
- 30:24Speaker 1: these people to Jamie's door step, which it wasn't, because
- 30:29Speaker 1: the thing is is that these guys had already discovered
- 30:32Speaker 1: the cabin, they'd already discovered that Jamie had been there
- 30:35Speaker 1: for a while. Now, they left him alone because at
- 30:38Speaker 1: that time they didn't need anything from him. But now
- 30:41Speaker 1: that they've pretty much like they've been irresponsibly like like stealing,
- 30:46Speaker 1: like like ransacking supplies and like and like harve like
- 30:50Speaker 1: harvesting and like stockpiling all of like the supplies from
- 30:54Speaker 1: the surrounding area. They weren't actually doing anything to like
- 30:58Speaker 1: conserve or to conserve their resources, right, so they were
- 31:03Speaker 1: like they were recklessly and irresponsibly using their supplies. So
- 31:07Speaker 1: which is why they were desperately trying to why out
- 31:10Speaker 1: of desperation they started robbing, uh, pretty much robbing their neighbors.
- 31:15Speaker 1: So Andrew, feeling guilt read and he stocks up whatever
- 31:18Speaker 1: little supplies he can that he has, making sure not
- 31:21Speaker 1: just not to like take too much from Jamie. He
- 31:24Speaker 1: packs up his things and he leaves. He leaves about
- 31:28Speaker 1: the next day Jamie, while Jamie like realizes that he
- 31:34Speaker 1: is not like he does not want to be alone.
- 31:36Speaker 1: The thing is is that Jamie himself he is gay.
- 31:39Speaker 1: He knows that he's gay, but when Andrew comes along,
- 31:41Speaker 1: he doesn't. He's not really sure if Andrew is the same.
- 31:45Speaker 1: And he's actually kind of grown a bit of grown
- 31:48Speaker 1: pretty attached to Andrew because you know, he'd been alone
- 31:51Speaker 1: for months and the two get along very well. And
- 31:54Speaker 1: he also realizes that wait a second, like Andrew is
- 31:58Speaker 1: still recovering from his injury. So I mean he can
- 32:02Speaker 1: walk and move around a little bit easier now, but
- 32:04Speaker 1: he's still recovering and he's still vulnerable. So after he
- 32:08Speaker 1: realizes that Andrew left, he packs up whatever supplies he
- 32:11Speaker 1: can get, takes the takes the medical journal, and goes
- 32:15Speaker 1: after Andrew. Excuse me, The two of them meet up,
- 32:20Speaker 1: like he the two of them do encounter each other
- 32:23Speaker 1: gain and after a little bit of a like then
- 32:28Speaker 1: it's kind of like like Andrews actually surprisingly relieved and
- 32:31Speaker 1: that Jamie followed him, and it's like, okay, well, we're
- 32:36Speaker 1: heading to d C. So they start making their way
- 32:39Speaker 1: down south, trying to just as before, they try to
- 32:44Speaker 1: avoid any like major roads, but they know, like once
- 32:47Speaker 1: they get close to DC, they will have to get
- 32:49Speaker 1: onto the main roads to get to the airport. Now
- 32:52Speaker 1: while they're going through DC. Once they like start getting
- 32:54Speaker 1: closer to d C, Andrew Andrews trying to like subtly
- 32:59Speaker 1: shift the direction from the actual like DC International Airport,
- 33:04Speaker 1: which is where the EU was supposed to be. But
- 33:07Speaker 1: he wants to shift slightly to like try to go
- 33:10Speaker 1: a little off trail to a neighborhood. He tries to
- 33:13Speaker 1: like hint to Jamie that he wants to like split
- 33:15Speaker 1: at least temporarily so he can go take care of
- 33:17Speaker 1: some unfinished business. Eventually, after like after several like like
- 33:25Speaker 1: carrowing encounters, and Andrew finally confesses to Jamie what secret
- 33:32Speaker 1: he's been keeping m And that secret in particular is
- 33:39Speaker 1: that in his journey before he had met or before
- 33:42Speaker 1: Andrew had met Jamie, he was traveling on the main
- 33:46Speaker 1: road and he met an older couple, and this older couple,
- 33:50Speaker 1: like you know, at first he thought they were nice.
- 33:52Speaker 1: They were like him, trying to make it south to
- 33:54Speaker 1: d C. But and they travel together for they decided
- 33:59Speaker 1: to travel together. But thing is, literally the first night
- 34:02Speaker 1: that they that they like made camp together, Andrew woke
- 34:06Speaker 1: up in the middle of the night to find the
- 34:08Speaker 1: older couple. This older couple, they were going through his stuff,
- 34:14Speaker 1: and he overheard the husband like saying, like, we need
- 34:19Speaker 1: this more than him, all right, We're like basically they
- 34:22Speaker 1: were robbing him. They were gonna rob him and leave
- 34:24Speaker 1: him with nothing, so Andrew, So Andrew got up and
- 34:28Speaker 1: confronted them, and there was a scuffle. And the thing
- 34:31Speaker 1: is Andrew he did have a gun, and he ends
- 34:35Speaker 1: up shooting. He ends up shooting and killing both of them.
- 34:39Speaker 1: And this left Andrew with a lot of guilt because
- 34:45Speaker 1: like he thought that these guys were friendly. He thought
- 34:47Speaker 1: that they could like you know, make it together down
- 34:50Speaker 1: to d C to meet the relief aide. And while
- 34:53Speaker 1: he was in the short period that he spent with
- 34:55Speaker 1: these two, he'd learned that they were also trying to
- 34:57Speaker 1: reach their children because they had a The thing is
- 35:01Speaker 1: is that they have a they had a like a
- 35:03Speaker 1: son or a daughter that lived outside of d C,
- 35:05Speaker 1: in a neighborhood outside of d C, and they were
- 35:09Speaker 1: trying to make it down there to meet up with
- 35:11Speaker 1: their kids as well as their grandkids. And afterwards, like
- 35:17Speaker 1: after Andrew killed them because he he killed them in
- 35:20Speaker 1: self defense they attacked him and they were trying to
- 35:22Speaker 1: rob him, he still felt guilt and he felt like
- 35:25Speaker 1: he needed to like he needed closure, He needed to
- 35:28Speaker 1: see like maybe, like I guess like the best word
- 35:32Speaker 1: would be absolution, because you know, he felt he felt
- 35:35Speaker 1: really guilty over killing these people. Right, so, he knew
- 35:40Speaker 1: where their their kids were, He knew where their family
- 35:45Speaker 1: was supposed to be, right so art so what he
- 35:47Speaker 1: wanted to do was before heading to the rendezvous point,
- 35:52Speaker 1: he wanted to go to that neighborhood, the kid's neighborhood,
- 35:55Speaker 1: try to find their you know, try to find the kids,
- 36:00Speaker 1: tell him what happens to the parents, and you know,
- 36:02Speaker 1: face whatever consequences. Right. Well, he finally reveals that to Jamie.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Jamie like doesn't judge him. He's like, well, you know understand,
- 36:10Speaker 1: was understanding and told him, well, this we're literally in
- 36:13Speaker 1: the post We're literally in a post apocalyptic adventure. You know,
- 36:18Speaker 1: like this is there's like lawlessness and you have to
- 36:22Speaker 1: do what you you gotta do what you gotta do
- 36:23Speaker 1: to survive. So he agrees to go. So he tells
- 36:28Speaker 1: Andrew that he's not gonna He's not just going to
- 36:30Speaker 1: leave him to deal with this alone. They go together
- 36:32Speaker 1: to that to the neighborhood that Andrew knows that this
- 36:37Speaker 1: couple's family was supposed to be. The thing is is
- 36:39Speaker 1: that they find the house. They go in and after
- 36:42Speaker 1: searching the house, they find the they find they find
- 36:48Speaker 1: the family all together, and they were dead. They had
- 36:53Speaker 1: they had died from the They had died from the virus.
- 36:55Speaker 1: So Andrew feels like he still feels a lot of guilt,
- 36:58Speaker 1: but at the same time, he feels like a kind
- 37:01Speaker 1: of like bittersweet relief because like the very least like
- 37:07Speaker 1: at least now he knows what happened to the family,
- 37:10Speaker 1: and there's part of him that still carries the guilt
- 37:12Speaker 1: of what he had done, but as a way of
- 37:14Speaker 1: like trying to like make amends, he ends up burying
- 37:18Speaker 1: the family. Uh. Andrew Andrew Jamie spend the night at
- 37:22Speaker 1: the at their house before before setting out to the
- 37:27Speaker 1: to the DC International. Here's where things. So here's where
- 37:33Speaker 1: this is like the reveal of like like okay, are
- 37:36Speaker 1: they there. So it turns out there was going to
- 37:39Speaker 1: be there was initially going to be like an European
- 37:44Speaker 1: Union relief relief effort at d C, but unfortunately the
- 37:50Speaker 1: virus had the super flu had re emerged in the
- 37:56Speaker 1: EU and they collapsed. So they found there wasn't there
- 38:01Speaker 1: that there was like a plane there like that was
- 38:05Speaker 1: sent from the European Union and this was like a
- 38:07Speaker 1: this plane was sent there as like sort of like
- 38:09Speaker 1: a kind of like an initial scout to like secure
- 38:12Speaker 1: the area, right, get get the airport ready for the
- 38:14Speaker 1: rest of the relief team. But the thing is is
- 38:17Speaker 1: that the crew contracted the flu and they also got caught.
- 38:21Speaker 1: They also had received a communication from their European Union
- 38:25Speaker 1: that it had it had collapsed because the flu had
- 38:27Speaker 1: overrun everything, so no one was there. They found the
- 38:31Speaker 1: dead pilots and the dead crew. They did find another
- 38:36Speaker 1: another kid about their age, and he was taking he
- 38:39Speaker 1: was taking care of his younger siblings. This this kid
- 38:43Speaker 1: tells him that, yeah, we found the logs and no
- 38:46Speaker 1: one's coming. They asked him, like, well, why are you
- 38:49Speaker 1: still here, Like, well, I was hoping I could figure
- 38:51Speaker 1: out how to find the flat this plane because we're
- 38:53Speaker 1: because we're going to try to go. Because this kid
- 38:55Speaker 1: and this siblings try to make it to Chicago run
- 38:58Speaker 1: there so they know what their family is. And uh,
- 39:03Speaker 1: the thing is is that they decided to stay for
- 39:05Speaker 1: the time being to try to warn anybody who's you know,
- 39:10Speaker 1: who comes along hoping to find relief. But they say
- 39:13Speaker 1: that they're but they say that they're gonna leave soon
- 39:16Speaker 1: because you know, there's no they've already pretty much they
- 39:19Speaker 1: pretty much already like picked the area clean. There's no
- 39:23Speaker 1: there's no food, there's no supplies. They sure what little
- 39:27Speaker 1: they share what little they have with with Jamie and Andrew.
- 39:30Speaker 1: But the two of them are like, well, what do
- 39:33Speaker 1: we do now? So they decide, well, let's just continue
- 39:39Speaker 1: south because they also heard that there was other uh,
- 39:43Speaker 1: they heard other rumors that there might be some big
- 39:46Speaker 1: there might be like some communities some So they said,
- 39:50Speaker 1: all right, let's just keep going, like we'll just kind
- 39:53Speaker 1: of like plan like we'll just kind of plan things out.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Take it by played by ear. So they leave DC
- 40:01Speaker 1: keep making their way south, and eventually they come across
- 40:04Speaker 1: the neighborhood. Uh. They come across another abandoned neighborhood, and
- 40:07Speaker 1: they encounter an old lady. And they encounters an elderly lady.
- 40:14Speaker 1: She's actually very spry, this old this old lady, she's
- 40:16Speaker 1: very spryed, very like uh and very like capable. You know.
- 40:21Speaker 1: She's she's been hold up in her home, uh for
- 40:23Speaker 1: the entire time, for the entire pandemic, and she's been
- 40:27Speaker 1: doing very well take care of herself. She has she
- 40:29Speaker 1: knows where she can get her supplies and she takes
- 40:32Speaker 1: she's been doing a really good job. She actually sneaks
- 40:36Speaker 1: she actually manages to sneak up on the boys and
- 40:39Speaker 1: uh and takes them by the surprise. But rather than
- 40:43Speaker 1: hurt them, she sees that, oh, they're just kids and
- 40:46Speaker 1: invites them into her home, so she gives them shelter
- 40:48Speaker 1: for the night. She tells them her story how she's been,
- 40:51Speaker 1: like her husband's been dead for a while, and she
- 40:54Speaker 1: has she has other kids, but she's sure that some
- 40:57Speaker 1: of them have already have did not survive the panic
- 41:00Speaker 1: because they were closer to home, but she knows. But
- 41:02Speaker 1: she reveals that she has a daughter and a granddaughter
- 41:06Speaker 1: who lives in the Key in Miami Keys who lives
- 41:09Speaker 1: in South Florida, Miami like closer to Miami in Key West,
- 41:13Speaker 1: and she's hoping, she was hoping that at one point
- 41:16Speaker 1: of possibly making the journey down south. But the thing
- 41:19Speaker 1: is is that she's old, she's not capable of making
- 41:22Speaker 1: the journey on her own, and she'd rather and she decided, well,
- 41:25Speaker 1: she she doesn't really want to leave because this is
- 41:27Speaker 1: her home. This has been like, you know, it's been
- 41:29Speaker 1: her home for most of her life. She raised her
- 41:32Speaker 1: kids there, her husband died there. She doesn't really want
- 41:34Speaker 1: to leave, you know, overnight. While they were staying, they
- 41:37Speaker 1: also noticed that they also noticed that they're strange, like noises,
- 41:41Speaker 1: like there's definitely like some like coming from like some
- 41:44Speaker 1: sort of large animal in the area. And okay, so
- 41:49Speaker 1: the old lady's name is Henry, and the thing is
- 41:53Speaker 1: and so. So Henry tells them that ever since the pandemic,
- 41:56Speaker 1: she's been hearing a lot of strange noises, like there's
- 41:59Speaker 1: some sort of big animal won't wandering the area. And
- 42:02Speaker 1: she also reveals that she doesn't live that far from
- 42:07Speaker 1: the let me see, she doesn't live that far from
- 42:12Speaker 1: their local zoo from our area's local zoo on the
- 42:18Speaker 1: Smithsonian National Zoological Park. Interesting, So she gives the boys
- 42:25Speaker 1: some supplies. She and they decide, well, we are, we're
- 42:28Speaker 1: heading south anyway, might as well go and we'll see
- 42:31Speaker 1: if we can find your daughter for you let her
- 42:33Speaker 1: know that you're still alive. So she leaves. They say,
- 42:37Speaker 1: give a heart a heartwarming goodbye. She gives them some
- 42:41Speaker 1: extra supplies and they start making their way south as
- 42:44Speaker 1: they're not even that far. They don't make it that
- 42:46Speaker 1: far when they encounter a sign that says Smith's Smithsonian
- 42:50Speaker 1: National Zoological Park, and they're like, huh. Interesting. And as
- 42:56Speaker 1: they keep traveling, they pass by an area like a
- 42:58Speaker 1: construction site. When they hear they hear growling, and when
- 43:06Speaker 1: they turn around. As it turns out, after the pandemic,
- 43:11Speaker 1: the animals were still there and the Smithsonians the Smizonian
- 43:18Speaker 1: Zoo's uh.
- 43:21Speaker 5: Lions managed to escape. Uh so, so this forces the
- 43:29Speaker 5: boys to run, like they know, like they're not they can't.
- 43:33Speaker 1: The boys know that they like if you run, they're smartens,
- 43:36Speaker 1: you know, like don't run immediately because then that will
- 43:39Speaker 1: trigger the animals to chase them. So they slowly back
- 43:42Speaker 1: away from the lions. They can see that they're being
- 43:44Speaker 1: they're being cornered by uh several by several lionesses and
- 43:49Speaker 1: one big male. Yeah, so it wasn't. So they actually
- 43:55Speaker 1: encounter Henry after they go to the house. After they
- 44:00Speaker 1: go to that neighborhood to find the family of the
- 44:04Speaker 1: couple that Andrew killed, and then that's when they encounter Henry.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Then they start making their way to the DC International
- 44:13Speaker 1: and that's where they passed through the bar. They passed
- 44:15Speaker 1: through the zoo, like close by to the zoo, and
- 44:18Speaker 1: the lions attack them. Okay, I'm sorry, I mean a
- 44:20Speaker 1: miss I got my timelines mixed up. So neighborhood they meet,
- 44:25Speaker 1: they bury, the family, meet Henry, She gives them food.
- 44:29Speaker 1: They start making their way to the airport, they encounter
- 44:32Speaker 1: some lions that escape from the zoo from the Swissonian Zoo,
- 44:36Speaker 1: and uh they get separated. They get temporarily separated because
- 44:42Speaker 1: while because Jamie is the one who's carrying the rifle,
- 44:47Speaker 1: because he has the Bold Action rifle his mom left
- 44:50Speaker 1: him and James and Jamie just has a small gun
- 44:52Speaker 1: but it doesn't have a lot of ammunition and it's
- 44:54Speaker 1: not very powerful. So luckily for them, they were near
- 44:58Speaker 1: a construction site and so Jamie tells Andrew to be
- 45:04Speaker 1: ready to run. He tells it. So Jamie tells Andrew
- 45:08Speaker 1: to run. He pulls up his rifle and manages to
- 45:12Speaker 1: shoot the shoot one of the lionesses that was closest
- 45:14Speaker 1: to him, which is a big Like this is kind
- 45:17Speaker 1: of like a big moment for him, Like he kind
- 45:20Speaker 1: of breaks a big barrier because several times he's had
- 45:23Speaker 1: to use the rifle and he hasn't been able to
- 45:25Speaker 1: actually like bring himself to pull the trigger. But in
- 45:30Speaker 1: this moment, when he realizes that him and him and
- 45:33Speaker 1: Andrew are going to be you know, their lives are
- 45:35Speaker 1: in danger, he manages to like finally break that barrier,
- 45:38Speaker 1: pull the trigger. He puts down several of the He
- 45:41Speaker 1: actually like injures, you know, he manages to like shoot,
- 45:47Speaker 1: he manages to put down several of the lionesses. And
- 45:50Speaker 1: he does scare off the mail lion, at least he rather,
- 45:54Speaker 1: he scares it enough to give him a chance to
- 45:56Speaker 1: uh to run away. Like while Andrew manages to run
- 46:03Speaker 1: away from the lions, Jamie is forced to run to
- 46:07Speaker 1: the nearest construction site and runs. And what he does
- 46:11Speaker 1: even climbs into one of the tractors that we're still
- 46:15Speaker 1: there and locks himself inside. And unfortunately, and because of that,
- 46:18Speaker 1: he can't get away from the lions. He's stuck. He's
- 46:21Speaker 1: stuck in there. So Jamie manages to escape the lions
- 46:28Speaker 1: by climbing into uh into an abandoned tractor, one of
- 46:35Speaker 1: those construction what do they call us, Like it's like
- 46:40Speaker 1: one of those big scoops or oh my god, it's
- 46:47Speaker 1: the one with the big arms. Like you know, you
- 46:48Speaker 1: think i'd know this, like one of the things we
- 46:50Speaker 1: learn about as kids.
- 46:52Speaker 3: I have a way of what they're called, but I
- 46:54Speaker 3: know what you're talking about, scoops up the dirt when
- 46:57Speaker 3: they're in the on the construction site.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, thankfully so but yeah, he thinks what he
- 47:09Speaker 1: manages to hide away, but he's trapped in there because
- 47:11Speaker 1: the lions are pacing outside the tractor. He's hoping that
- 47:16Speaker 1: Andrew managed to get away. Andrew, on the other hand,
- 47:18Speaker 1: he's losing his ship because he he did manage to
- 47:20Speaker 1: get away from the lions, but he realized he left
- 47:23Speaker 1: Jamie behind in the process, and which fuels his guilt
- 47:26Speaker 1: even more. And without anything to do, he's like, not
- 47:33Speaker 1: sure what what else he can do. He makes his
- 47:36Speaker 1: he continues his way onto their like he continues his
- 47:40Speaker 1: way on to his destination, which is the which is
- 47:45Speaker 1: the house, which is the Foster's house. I'm sorry, and
- 47:50Speaker 1: I was trying to I couldn't. I just got their names.
- 47:52Speaker 1: So like there so the couple that he had killed
- 47:56Speaker 1: in self defense. They their family name was Foster, and
- 47:59Speaker 1: he knew that their children were living somewhere in outside
- 48:03Speaker 1: of d C. So he makes so he starts making
- 48:05Speaker 1: his way to the neighborhood that the Fosters, they knew
- 48:09Speaker 1: the Fosters lived in, and while he was there, he
- 48:11Speaker 1: realized somebody was following him, and he hides for a bit,
- 48:14Speaker 1: but then he realizes that that it's actually Jamie. So
- 48:20Speaker 1: Jamie did. Man, it doesn't really like specify how like
- 48:23Speaker 1: doesn't go into too much detail of like how Jamie
- 48:26Speaker 1: managed to get away, but let me see here, like, uh,
- 48:36Speaker 1: while Jamie was trapped this, the weather ended up turning
- 48:40Speaker 1: taking a turn, and a large thunderstorm came through, and
- 48:43Speaker 1: because it started rating lions, I guess because they're they're
- 48:47Speaker 1: meant for more drier climates, they didn't like being stuck
- 48:50Speaker 1: out in the rain, so they ended up taking off
- 48:52Speaker 1: to find shelter. Uh. So that gave Jamie the opportunity
- 48:56Speaker 1: to get out of the tractor and make his way
- 48:59Speaker 1: to the neighborhood. So he meets up with he meets
- 49:01Speaker 1: up with Andrew and then I'm sorry, guys, I got
- 49:05Speaker 1: the timelines completely up so early mixed up. So this
- 49:07Speaker 1: actually happened before they got to the so like getting
- 49:11Speaker 1: to the Foster's house happened before, like of course obviously
- 49:13Speaker 1: happened before they went to the to the airport to
- 49:16Speaker 1: find the relief, to find the European Union's relief. But
- 49:22Speaker 1: they ended up but that's when they also they met Henry,
- 49:26Speaker 1: the old Lady Henry, and then of course the lions,
- 49:29Speaker 1: and now they're dealing with the foster situation. So after
- 49:33Speaker 1: burying the Fosters and like Andrew gets his closure more
- 49:36Speaker 1: or less, they they began making their way to Reagan International,
- 49:40Speaker 1: which is the airport, which is the airport that the
- 49:43Speaker 1: EU was supposed to be meeting at. There that they meet,
- 49:46Speaker 1: that's of course, where they meet the other They meet
- 49:48Speaker 1: the other kids. They tell them. The kids tell them
- 49:51Speaker 1: that there's no supplies here and there's also no European
- 49:54Speaker 1: there's no European aid. The EU has completely collapsed and
- 49:58Speaker 1: now left with nothing else to do, Jamie Andrew decide, well,
- 50:01Speaker 1: I guess it's time to keep making our way south.
- 50:03Speaker 1: We promised to start making our way to Miami because
- 50:09Speaker 1: they know they because they've they've heard rumors that there's
- 50:13Speaker 1: possibly a safe community there. And Henry's daughter is also
- 50:17Speaker 1: supposed to be there as well, So they decide, well,
- 50:20Speaker 1: while we go down there, we'll find her and tell
- 50:22Speaker 1: her mom still alive. Uh Now, as they're making their
- 50:26Speaker 1: way making their way down south. Sorry that was bad. Sorry,
- 50:33Speaker 1: that's a bad reference.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Crickets, crickets, crickets, cricket sounds and sort of here mm
- 50:42Speaker 3: hmm yep.
- 50:47Speaker 1: So as they continue they make their way down south,
- 50:49Speaker 1: they run, they actually fine, they accidentally stumble across another community.
- 50:57Speaker 1: So I will I will tell you this. This next
- 51:00Speaker 1: part of the story was a little bit disturbing because
- 51:04Speaker 1: as we all know, like in the event of like
- 51:06Speaker 1: total government collapse, you know, people are going to naturally
- 51:10Speaker 1: want to create safe communities for themselves, right And oftentimes though,
- 51:15Speaker 1: like the kind of people that come together that make
- 51:17Speaker 1: these communities are that they'll often be of like minded individuals.
- 51:22Speaker 1: So you know, best case scenario, you find in the
- 51:25Speaker 1: community that is accepting of all people and it is
- 51:28Speaker 1: just more focused on keeping everybody alive and restore re
- 51:31Speaker 1: establishing order, right, building state, building safe spaces. Right. But
- 51:37Speaker 1: then you have others who want to who would who
- 51:40Speaker 1: want to actually like build their own idea what a
- 51:43Speaker 1: civilized society should be like. And this is the community
- 51:47Speaker 1: they find. So this is like the community they come
- 51:49Speaker 1: across is uh, it's definitely a socialist community because everything
- 51:55Speaker 1: everybody should is shared together, Like no one really owns
- 51:58Speaker 1: anything all right, like it all belongs to the community.
- 52:03Speaker 1: The community they come across is I'm gonna be just
- 52:06Speaker 1: straight up with you. It's like something out of The
- 52:07Speaker 1: Handmaid's Till. Because yeah, so the like they encounter this
- 52:14Speaker 1: community because they're in the middle of a Fourth of
- 52:16Speaker 1: July celebration, so they're shooting off fireworks and they approach
- 52:20Speaker 1: to these people thinking they might be friendly, and for
- 52:23Speaker 1: the most part, they are. But when they're brought back
- 52:25Speaker 1: to the community, when they're brought back to the community,
- 52:28Speaker 1: they their stuff is like almost immediately taken from them,
- 52:32Speaker 1: their weapons, their supplies, and they're told that their supplies
- 52:37Speaker 1: will be added to the community supply stockpile, right, and
- 52:41Speaker 1: if they want their guns back, they have to go
- 52:42Speaker 1: check them out, like register and check them out red
- 52:45Speaker 1: flags because like they weren't planning on staying. But these
- 52:48Speaker 1: people immediately assume that, well they're going to stay, right,
- 52:51Speaker 1: That's not like there's no efans buttz or ores. But
- 52:55Speaker 1: it's also very obvious that this community is being built
- 52:58Speaker 1: under like bid look whole ideologies, so like very conservative,
- 53:04Speaker 1: Like the men are in charge, the women are like
- 53:07Speaker 1: they have the women have their own roles. They notice
- 53:10Speaker 1: that like like when when they were they noticed that
- 53:14Speaker 1: when people were celebrating these people were celebrating the Fourth
- 53:17Speaker 1: of July, they noticed that there was like a strong
- 53:19Speaker 1: lack of women there, and the few women that they
- 53:24Speaker 1: do encounter, they're they're in these roles that are not
- 53:27Speaker 1: like roles of like positions of power. They're like subservient roles.
- 53:33Speaker 1: And Andrew and Jamie are both freaked out, are freaking
- 53:36Speaker 1: out because they know, like, well, if this is this
- 53:39Speaker 1: kind of community, then they're definitely going to be very
- 53:41Speaker 1: very homophobic. Because I haven't really talked about this much
- 53:46Speaker 1: about the two of them, But the thing is is
- 53:49Speaker 1: that both Andrew and Jamie, like Jamie of course being
- 53:52Speaker 1: the gay one openly gay when he of course told
- 53:54Speaker 1: he did actually come clean to Andrew about his sexuality, right,
- 53:59Speaker 1: and Andrew isn't really thought much about it for him.
- 54:01Speaker 1: It was just more of like it's kind of assumed
- 54:03Speaker 1: that he would be straight and he would eventually, like
- 54:07Speaker 1: if life went on, he would just eventually get with
- 54:09Speaker 1: a girl. So I never really thought about it, so
- 54:13Speaker 1: it'd be like that. But there's the two so like
- 54:19Speaker 1: Jamie is definitely developing feelings for Andrew, but he is,
- 54:23Speaker 1: but he's reluctant to come clean about it because like
- 54:27Speaker 1: he doesn't want to ruin the he doesn't want to
- 54:29Speaker 1: ruin their friendship. He doesn't want to lose Andrew and
- 54:32Speaker 1: be alone and end up being alone again, So he
- 54:36Speaker 1: hasn't really come clean about that. But they're both slowly
- 54:40Speaker 1: like starting to like admit their feelings for each other. Right,
- 54:43Speaker 1: they definitely care about each other a lot, and they know,
- 54:48Speaker 1: like if it's found out that the two of them
- 54:50Speaker 1: have a closer relationship like that, especially for Jamie, they're
- 54:54Speaker 1: gonna get these people are probably going to end up
- 54:56Speaker 1: killing them. So they barely spend less than a day,
- 55:00Speaker 1: barely spend a day here. They do encounter some other women,
- 55:04Speaker 1: some women there. They're set up in a hotel for
- 55:08Speaker 1: the night. And while they're and while they were given
- 55:10Speaker 1: a tour the people like the community actually goes into
- 55:13Speaker 1: the room, takes their ship, goes through everything. And Andrew
- 55:17Speaker 1: and Jamie like they split up, wanting to get their
- 55:19Speaker 1: stuff back. They actually uh they actually use this socialist
- 55:22Speaker 1: system against them. Go then they go to like the
- 55:25Speaker 1: supply houses, uh to check out their stuff again, like, hey,
- 55:28Speaker 1: come we get our stuff back. We have our like
- 55:30Speaker 1: and like they're given vouchers for supplies, like for like
- 55:34Speaker 1: weekly supplies. So they're like, well, hey, we're gonna trade
- 55:37Speaker 1: in our vouchers and like get our stuff, like get
- 55:39Speaker 1: our basically get our supplies back. Right, So they much
- 55:42Speaker 1: everything back and they unfortunately lose one of the guns.
- 55:46Speaker 1: But but Andrew manages to get the Andrew manages to
- 55:51Speaker 1: get the rifle back at the very least because or
- 55:54Speaker 1: rather Jamie manages to get the rifle back because they
- 55:58Speaker 1: won't they wouldn't let him check out both guns at
- 56:00Speaker 1: the same time. And like while they were when they
- 56:03Speaker 1: were alone and it's late, they actually managed to, uh,
- 56:06Speaker 1: they managed to leave and escape the community. Now, before
- 56:09Speaker 1: they escaped, they they met this one young girl. She
- 56:13Speaker 1: it's not really like it's not really like put out there,
- 56:17Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure this girl is autistic because she's
- 56:23Speaker 1: very quiet, she keeps to herself, and just the way
- 56:26Speaker 1: like later on we she actually becomes a part of
- 56:28Speaker 1: her She actually becomes a part of her team. Look
- 56:30Speaker 1: at her name, Uh, well her name is in hereimon
- 56:51Speaker 1: So her name is Kara. And the thing is is
- 56:54Speaker 1: that they she's the receptionist at the hotel they put
- 56:57Speaker 1: her that they put that they were put up in
- 56:59Speaker 1: and they know that she's very like that the men
- 57:02Speaker 1: put like brush her aside and don't pay much attention
- 57:05Speaker 1: to her. And they also can tell like she don't like.
- 57:08Speaker 1: They can tell that she does not like the system
- 57:10Speaker 1: that she's put in, and they Jamie being more he's
- 57:15Speaker 1: definitely a lot better at like talking to like who
- 57:20Speaker 1: is it. Yeah, Jamie actually manages to befriend her and
- 57:26Speaker 1: tells her like hey, like manages to like convince her
- 57:30Speaker 1: to help them like plot out, like use a map
- 57:34Speaker 1: and plot out their route down to Miami, and she
- 57:40Speaker 1: being very like detail oriented, she actually like takes the
- 57:44Speaker 1: atlass that that they gave her and she plots out
- 57:47Speaker 1: a very detailed route down to South Florida like she
- 57:52Speaker 1: even like she even highlights several like alternate routes to
- 57:55Speaker 1: take right stuff that routes that are very direct but
- 57:58Speaker 1: also avoid any major road or any like large communities
- 58:01Speaker 1: or cities. And they feel bad that they used her
- 58:06Speaker 1: that way, but it's very clear that it was very
- 58:08Speaker 1: obvious that she didn't like the system and she wanted
- 58:11Speaker 1: out too, So they ended up leaving their following the route.
- 58:15Speaker 1: The sheriff of Fort Caroline and one of the deputies
- 58:17Speaker 1: had tracked them all the way down south. They were like,
- 58:21Speaker 1: by this point, they were hundreds of miles away from
- 58:23Speaker 1: Fort Fort Caroline. So for some reason, the Fort Caroliners
- 58:27Speaker 1: were like, this is where like in these kind of situations,
- 58:30Speaker 1: like in this kind of situation, these kind of people
- 58:33Speaker 1: scare me because like they don't just like let it go.
- 58:38Speaker 1: They literally like used up a lot of resources just
- 58:41Speaker 1: to find these two boys. And mainly, like the sheriff's
- 58:45Speaker 1: motivation was because he suspected that they were gay. So
- 58:48Speaker 1: it was clear he was doing this out of like homophobia,
- 58:52Speaker 1: wanting to like wanting to put down the gay kids. Right.
- 58:55Speaker 1: And the thing is, though, Jamie was actually really smart
- 58:59Speaker 1: in this uh, in this situation. Let me pull out
- 59:02Speaker 1: the scene here, let me see you. I'm gonna pull
- 59:11Speaker 1: out the scene. It's a river, yeah, it's a river. Yeah.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: So Jamie here gets really smart because when he sees
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: when he sees the sheriff, the guy's name is Harvey Rosewood,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: and the deputy he gets it, he gets an idea
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: because he's because the because Harvey had grabbed had grabbed
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: uh had grabbed his backpack from the from the bank,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: and he knew that and Jamie could see that inside
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: like the backpack was kind of slightly open, and he
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: could see that the gun was that one, that one
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: of their guns was still inside it. And Jamie gets
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: an idea. He stands up right up out of the right,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: up out of the river because like they were still
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: like they were close enough to the bank where the
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: river wasn't going like all the way up to their waists,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: so he was like kneeling down in it. So he
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: gets an idea, stands pull ups buck ass naked, right,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and it has the intended effects. As soon as like
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: the deputy and the Sheriff's seem like stand up naked,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: they immediately look away, like like because you know you're
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: about to kill a kid for you mean, these guys
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: are about to kill a kid for being for being
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: like for stealing from them and as well as like
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: for being gay. Right, But you're still prudes enough to
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: where like you like look away from a from a
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: naked kid. Like, I don't know about you, but like
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: if I'm about to kill somebody and they're buck ass naked,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I don't think i'd look away from them for a
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: single second, you know, mainly because like, well I look away,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: that'll give him a chance to like retaliate, yeahs. But
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: either way he gets up out of the water. You know,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: buck ass nude guys look away all because it has
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the intended effect. They up away all like like, no,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I don't want to look at some dude naked, right,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: and he's and he convinces and like, Mick, can I
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: at least put something on and crazy, but like without looking,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: like Harvey hands over the backpack, like, yeah, I just
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: put something on, right, we're gonna if we're gonna do this,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I want I want to be able to look you
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: in the eye, you know, not in the dick. Wow.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: So the thing is is that well, while Harvey like
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: just hands over the bag, uh, Jamie immediately just put
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: his hand, puts his hand in the pack, pulls out
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: the gud, blows out Harvey's head.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Damn headshot. I mean, to be fair, they had to
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: or they were going to die.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: So I mean.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: They had it coming.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Yep. Yeah. The thing is before he can like shoot,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: before he can shoot Harvey, he tells Andrew to get
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: up out of the water. And the thing is when
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Andrew stands, he's also naked, and both both Harvey and
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Uh and the duties with like look away all like,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: oh God, like another one right, And that's when and
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: that's when Jamie moves. He first first pulls out the gun,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: shoots the deputy in the in the stomach, and the
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: and the deputy drop immediately drops and Jamie, I think
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: it is Jamie. Like when Jamie turns his gun on Harvey,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Harvey had had Harvey had confiscated their rifle. Problem is
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: is that the rifle was out of bullets, so he
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: was using their He was gonna try to use their
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: own rifle to shoot at Jamie and Andrew. But like when
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Harvey pulled up the rifle and pulled the trigger and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: it clicks. All here is a click and and like
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: barely said, Harvey barely has a second to uh, to realize,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: like he's fucked, huh, and he pulls it. He barely
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: has a second to realize that he's fucked. And when
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Jamie like shoots him in the head.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Damn headshot. God damn, he had it coming, He had
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: it coming. He only had himself to blame.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Yeah, fortunately he only had himself to blame. You know,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: when Jamie has to run in like so the thing
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: is the deputy is still a lot because Jamie only
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: shot him in the stomach. Yeah, And the thing is,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: the deputy manages to get away, but but Jamie Andrew
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: are not worried about that. Jamie quickly rinses off because
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: when he shot Harvey, his blood got all over him.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: They quickly, they quickly grabbed their stuff, dress, and they
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: run away, really run away, they managed. So they realized that, like,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: these guys are scouting, like before he shot Harvey, they
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: had Harvey let slip that there's like an entire search
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: party looking for them, So they realized they're gonna need
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: to that one. They're afraid that maybe Karas somehow gave
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: away their the routes that they're taking, so rather than
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: do anything else, they decided to take one of the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: lesser known routes that she had highlighted, one of the
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: smaller routes she had highlighted, hoping that maybe like they
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: wouldn't be discovered again. Not long after their encounter, they
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: realized someone is someone else is following them, and after
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: hiding a bit, they quickly hide and they watch out
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: for who's approaching, and they see that it's actually Kara.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: She's on bike and she's and she's running down the street.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: She's just riding down the street. They come out, confronts
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: her and quickly interrogate her. She she reveals that she
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: didn't she didn't know that they were following, that they
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: were being followed by the by the Fort Caroline people.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: She tells them, says she wanted to leave because place
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: wasn't that place wasn't good for her either. So reluctantly
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: they decide, well, brother, they're not going. It's best not
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: to just leave her because she knows. Because she knows
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: exactly where they're going. So if Fort finds her and
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: interrogates her or even takes the at List from her,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: her own copy of the Atlast from her, they know
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: exactly where the boys would be. Yeah, so they take
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: her with them. They take her with them. They keep
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: going further further south. They're making They make it about
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: like a good way down, like about halfway down the panhandle,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Like okay, on on the Panhandle is the leg that
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: goes down into like the Atlanta right because like you know,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: like the way Florida shaped, Like, there's the top part
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: that like connects with like the the other states, and
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: then there's the leg that goes down into the Gulf
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: to the Atlantic. So that's the pan right, yeah, yes, okay,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: So they make it about halfway down the Panhandle when
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: unfortunately they run in to the Fort Caroline search party again.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Unfortunately they they were ambushed and let me see yep,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: so they get they get it captured by then. And
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the thing is is that r V, being the son
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: of the community of Fort Caroline's leader, since they killed him,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: he ends up going on a complete like revenge chase.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Like gets he gets a huge revenge boner and ruthlessly
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: pursues these boys. They get ambushed outside of a of
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: a shopping mall, and the cool cool thing is is
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: that only Andrew and Jamie get captured. They don't realize
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: that Kara is also with them, so Carl manages to
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: create a distraction and Andrew and Jamie managed to get
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: away long manage to get away and hide. But when
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: they escape, the Fort Caroliners start shooting at them, and
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: unfortunately Jamie gets shot in the Stumm.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: No, m hm, they can't do this to me.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Yeah. So the thing is is that when they get shot,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: they actually also managed to like shoot back, and some
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: of the Fort Caroliners get hit and they also go down.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: They managed to hide from the Fort Caroliners because it's
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: very dark and they don't have enough light, so the
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Furth Caroliners aren't able to find them, so they while
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: they're hiding. They while they're hiding, they hear the four Caroliners.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: The rest of the search party from the Fort Caroliners
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: gather around and the leader shows up. The leader shows up,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: he's he's really pushing for them to keep searching for
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: these boys. But the thing is is that his own
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: deputies turn on him and tell him that we've had enough. Okay,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: normally don't we don't waste resources on stuff, on stupid
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: stuff like this. All right, Already we wasted a lot
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: of resources trying to find the boys in the first place,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: and as a results, they killed your son, okay, and
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: now we've wasted even more resources trying to find them
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: to bring them, to bring them to justice quote unquote justice.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: And they're like this, that's it. We have to call
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: it here. We're wasting too much resources on these kids
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: and they keep getting away, that's it. So they basically
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: they twist his arm tell them and I'm like, you're
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: not We're not going any further. We've already lost too
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: many men, We've used up too many resources on your
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: stupid little revenge quests. So they so basically they mute
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: me against the lead, this dude, their illustrious leader, and
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: pack up and go back to Fort Caroline. Kara finds
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Andrew and Jamie. But this is when Andrew realizes that
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Jamie has been shot and Jamie is deteriorating very quickly. Uh.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Luckily for them, Luckily for them, Jamie's uh, Jamie's mother's
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: notebook had uh had just the right, had like a
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: section about treating gunshot wounds, so they were able to,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: for the most part, treat Jamie make sure they managed
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: to stop the bleeding. Unfortunately, infection does begin to see
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: set in and and and a few days later, Jamie
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: starts becoming feverish, and they don't know exactly like what
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: part of his like if like he's bleeding internally or
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: he has been if he like if maybe one of
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: his intestines were nicked. They know that he's deteriorating fast,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: so Kara and Andrew managed to put together a makeshift
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: stretcher and they tie it to the back of Carral's
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: bike and they quickly start making their way further down south.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: They eventually come across the route that they take eventually
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: hits a gate, huge gate, clearly something that wasn't there,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: that wasn't there before the pandemic, and they can't get
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: through it. And Andrew he's crying, he's losing his shit
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: because like it's at this point of course, when when
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Jamie is dying that he finally confesses, like I love you,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I can't lose you.
- 1:11:44Speaker 6: Yeah, because the thing is that both boys up put
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: to this point have been like secretly crushing on each
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: other because like Andrew eventually realizes that he actually cares
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: about Jamie a lot. Okay, he never really thought of
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: a boy like that before, but this boy in particular,
- 1:11:59Speaker 6: he's like, I can't lose you.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I love you. Like like, oh my god, you're I
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: don't mean to make fun, but like you know, it's
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: it really be that type.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: Shit, really be like that. Yeah.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just like I don't want to admit my
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: feelings for this guy. Boom, oh my god, he's almost dead.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I love you. Please don't die.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: Don't die on me, bitch the fuck.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Yeah. So the cool thing is is that the gate
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: had its own surveillance, and uh the whoever was watching
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: saw the saw the kids come up, and they sent
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: a guard up to the gate to investigate. So a
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: truck pulls up to the gate. The guards come out.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: You know you have guns. They say, like, what are
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: you doing here? Andrew Begson, Please, my friend has been shot.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Please help us, like we've like, we've come so far,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: tried so hard. In the end, it doesn't even matter.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: Oh my god, canceled, canceled, fired.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: You can't cancel me.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: I can't to delete. I would never.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Yeah, So the guards take pity on them. They load Andrew,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: they load Jamie up in the truck and take Andrew
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: and car for the South and they take him to
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: a medical facility. Uh deep within Miami. Uh so what
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: had happened? So as they learn is that within Miami
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: South Beach there there was like a bit of a
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: relief There actually was a relief effort that was set
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: up by local government. And the thing is is that
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: they had set up a safe zone in and around
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Miami and the Florida Keys. So this safe zone, there's
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: like actually a lot of people living there. Uh. The
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: communities are it's safe, there's no infection, there's actually electricity,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: running water, and uh, they also have a state of
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: the art medical facility. So they bring Jamie in. They
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: treat him, they give him man much needed antibiotics, and
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: he makes in actually makes full recovery. So after he recovers,
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: you know, he and and He and Andrew have a
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: heart to heart they at this point, that's when like
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: they finally like fully confess their feelings for each other,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: and they also decide, like, hey, we still got some
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: unfinished unfinished business. They go down they uh they inquire around,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: and they actually find out that Henry's daughter is living
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: in the community, So she's alive and she's there, so uh,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: their appointed liaison within the community takes them to there,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: uh takes them to her house. They meet her, they talk,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: They tell her about Henry and how she's still alive.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: She's saying she's surprised but thankful that she now knows
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: like what happened to her mom, and there's a part
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: of her that wants to find her and possibly bring
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: her down here. But the boys point out that she's
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: old and stubborn get lucky atting her leave, but still
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: they want to do what they can to try to,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: like because they had to take care of her, right, Like,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: they can't just leave an elderly woman like that alone,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: especially in the area she's in because she's not that
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: far from where the lions.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Have been prowling exactly.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean she has a gun, so she could
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: probably take care of herself, but nope, one mistake in
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: those lions will get her. So this is pretty much
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: where the book is coming to an end. Andrew and
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Jamie are given a house together, are given a cabin together,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: and it's it doesn't really say like how much of
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: a time gap happens, but there does happen to be
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: like a bit of a significant time gap, but like
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: a time jump. They're living together. One of the boys
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: is starting to feel restless. Let me see, let me see.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: It doesn't actually say who. Yeah, in the end, it
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: doesn't really say who's like the one like, so, like
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: the thing is that like it's there's like a bit
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: of a there's a few months time gap in the end,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Like in the apologue, there's like a bit of a
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: time jump. Boys have settled into a cabin together and
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: they were actually they've been they're actually making plans with
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: the community, with their new community to go to go
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: and pick up Henry, okay, because they can't leave real long.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: But they've also been talking together about possibly permanently leaving
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: the Miami Settlement the South Beach Settlement because both of
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: them realize that, like they can easily survive on their
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: own without needing the community's help. There's both both of
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: them have been feeling like this sort of this feeling
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: of restlessness and also this sense that like this is
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: not going to last, like for them at least it's
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: not gonna last. And they're also worried that, Like, they're
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: also worried about a few things because they know that
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: the settlement is trying to get in touch with other
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: with other major settlements that have popped up in the area,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: including the Fort Caroliner Settlement, So they don't want to,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Like there's a part of them that's afraid that if
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: the Fort Caroline are set up like a steady communication
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: and they learn that the boys are there, it's going
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to cause issues. So they're both trying to decide whether
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: or not, like when they go get Henry, whether or
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: not they're gonna come back with the expedition group with her,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: or if they're just going to send her back to
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Miami and then just go and just go on their
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: own way. So there's decisions that are gonna be made.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: I've just really I just learned recently that this is
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: actually this is actually a two part series. So this
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: is only book one. Oh yeah, and there is a
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: book two on let me see what's book two? Uh
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: So Book two is called The Only Light Left Burning,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: And like in that one, you know, that's where like
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: they they both begin facing like their own desires, like
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Jamie wants to go on the road, Andrew wants to
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: stay in a safe like in a safe, safe environment.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: You know, they still have to go back into the
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: wilderness to get Henry. But like that's where like we'll
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: see the conclusion of that story. But this is the
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: conclusion of this story. They decide, like at this point,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: they decide they don't have to decide, they don't have
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to make these decisions right now because like it's in
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: like it's good close to winter, Hurricane season is almost over,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: and they and they're just trying to make sure that
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: like you know, things are safe and like safe and
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: favorable for them before they head out, all right, so
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: that's the end of all that's left in the world.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: It was definitely it was cute, It was wholesome, and
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: you know, it was refreshing, you know, it was definitely
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: like there was definitely like many like points in the
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: book where it was like intense, you know, life threatening,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: you know, like have you on the edge of your seat,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: But the ending was very it was bittersweet. I would
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: say it's bittersweet because you know, they're together, they're finally together,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: they're in a safe community, but yet there's still some
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: like there's still a sense of restlessness between the two
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: of them, Like they care about each other, but they
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: both have their own wants and they both have their
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: own wants. One of them wants to leave, other one
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: wants to stay, you know, like like that classic song
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: should I Stay? Should I go? Now?
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, we'll have to do the next book at
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: some point.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, eventually we'll do the next book. It's gonna be
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: like near the bottom of my reading list because like
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I just barely started. A Parade of Horribles by Matt Dinman.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: This is the let Me See You one, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: book eight of the Dungeon Crawler series Dungeon Crawler Carl series,
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: Like I'm barely like past the first chapter, uh like
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: first couple of chapters that and like already I'm like.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Okay, some things we're going somewhere, like there's ship starring
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: like I gotta tell you though, like book seven, cause
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I'll it caused a lot of shit. They they really
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: upset the balance of power. So now we're seeing is yeah,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: so hoping to get that done soon. I've been taking
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: my time with it, like I usually read when like
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I have free time, or like when I'm at work
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: and there's like a lot of debt, like you know,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: there's not a lot of calls that'd take because I
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: work at a call center. I usually read between calls.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: But lately, whenever I try to read, as soon as
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I open my book and settle in, I get a
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: new call. Like I'll even like give myself a few
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: minutes like before, like all right, well it's kind of dead,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: no one's calling. Opens book takes out, uh takes out, bookmark,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: finds the place I left off on the page. Call
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: comes in. I usually be type shit right there. But anyway,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: that was all that stuff in the world. And this
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: is what the third book, for the third book that
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: we're reviewing for for Pride month, we got how many
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: weeks have we gotten this year? In this moment, all right?
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: Next week will be the last one for Pregnant.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: At the time it's recording, we're already like it's already
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: like we're already halfway through the month, right right. I
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: haven't yet to do anything for Pride.
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: Neither have I. It's just been rainy. Granted, I'm going
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: down to a theme. I'm going down to Disney World
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: and Universal during Pride months. I'm hoping, I know Disney
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: does stuff for Pride. I'm hoping they do something for Pride.
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: They're doing something like something so I can enjoy the.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: Gay I was in Miami. I was in Miami at
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: the beginning of the month, and I didn't have enough
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: time to do a lot of Pride stuff. I tried
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: to go into some Pride stores, but Miami is so
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: freaking expensive that I spent more money on than I
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: did on doing stuff I actually wanted. And the most
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: they did was go to a gay bar. Like I
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: went to a gay bar and it was karaoke night.
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: E which way gay bar.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I was like, I felt like a loser. I felt
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: like such a loser being there because it was it
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: was like June first when I went beginning of Pride,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: and I felt like it's a loser because I didn't
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: know anybody there. I didn't want to get up and
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: singing like do like do assuming for karaoke, like I
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: didn't want to, like I'm too shy for that. And
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: I was just sitting there and I'm like, I'm missing
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: my boyfriend. I was like, I wish my boyfriend was here,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: be a lot more fun. But oh well, got hopefully
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: we're gonna be doing some like a couple more Pride
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: like Pride themed events throughout this month though, Like I'm
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: also moving this month, so that's good. Things are overlapping
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: and I we're in the worst way possible.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: I no, no, no, no no. What you're doing and moving
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: is pretty gay because you're moving in with your boyfriend
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: during Proud month, No Rose, but.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: I actually want to go out and enjoy being gay
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: almost sexual.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Moving in with a boyfriend couldn't be me?
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Is me? Literally has been me, has been you. It's
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: literally you right now you live with your boyfriend.
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: Oh you, and it's lovely.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and you're going to Disney World with your boyfriend.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: I am oh my god.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Oh that couldn't be me.
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: Bullshit, it is me. I am doing that said thing.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: But that is to end up today's episode. Catch us
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: next week as we finish off with a going back
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: to the smut, because you know it's me, it's gonna be.
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: Next week's gonna be a shorter episode because why you
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: listen to a podcaster in Pride Month. I mean, great,
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: give us the views, give us the listeners, but like,
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: go do some pred events next week. It's gonna be
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: a shorter episode just for that. Go enjoy Pride Month.
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: Pregnant harr Krastler until then, Bye bye,
