- 0:50Speaker 1: cooler this weekend and see us to Key than it
- 0:53Speaker 1: is here, and that's frustrating. Yeah yeah, well it's yes, yeah, yeah,
- 0:56Speaker 1: it's just part of the deal.
- 0:57Speaker 2: It's a it's ocean, I know, but it still seems
- 1:00Speaker 2: it's so sad, so hot.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It's so hot here right now unless you're listening to
- 1:04Speaker 1: us later and maybe it's cool, maybe it's winter, maybe
- 1:07Speaker 1: it's Christmas. Merry Christmas. Boy. It's great to be back

- 1:27Speaker 1: I can't forget it if I write it down, day right,
- 1:30Speaker 1: And you went over to who.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I went over to Judge Mathis. That's what I did.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I was looking at our reviews and I think, oh,
- 1:36Speaker 2: how are we doing? No, this is the same same
- 1:38Speaker 2: we have. We have no new reviews since the last
- 1:40Speaker 2: time we talked. So if you could, maybe, if.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You're listening to us in twenty twenty four on the
- 1:47Speaker 1: Briental Jam plus feed, go over to the Yo Gavel
- 1:49Speaker 1: gavel feed and leave a review? Could you? Yeah?
- 1:53Speaker 2: The who what Win feed? Leave a review, just frand
- 1:57Speaker 2: do it? Do it all while you're doing thousands.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Of reviews for that show in three years?
- 2:02Speaker 2: Three really thousands? Who blew up it did? It's amazing
- 2:07Speaker 2: we still do this. You know, we're traveling the country
- 2:09Speaker 2: doing who when it's televised now, which is crazy, dude,
- 2:14Speaker 2: we're doing. We bring our whole set with us. We
- 2:15Speaker 2: have Aaron just haul it around in her carry on.
- 2:18Speaker 1: We care a lot. Yeah, we don't pay. We don't
- 2:21Speaker 1: pay for her. She has to use her carry on.
- 2:24Speaker 1: That's right. Let's we fly southwest.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yeah, bags included, bags included two two. But we don't ever,
- 2:29Speaker 2: We don't know, we would not. We're famous now. The
- 2:32Speaker 2: people's corpse is where I am. Can I go first?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Yeah? Sure, man? Whatever.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Brian O'Gorman living, Brian O'Gorman, Brian O'Gorman, you made that
- 2:41Speaker 2: name up.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Brian O'Gorman is suing Casey, no last name. Don't look
- 2:45Speaker 1: her up. She doesn't want to be found. Uh. He's
- 2:48Speaker 1: suing her for seven hundred and fifty five dollars for
- 2:51Speaker 1: the cost to fix a lap, not even a new
- 2:54Speaker 1: one to fix here. It's been seven fifty five to
- 2:56Speaker 1: fix a Let fix it. What year is it? That
- 2:58Speaker 1: seems like a few, Yeah, it seems like a few. Yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 1: it was uploaded recently, but seems like a few. You
- 3:05Speaker 1: know how they do that sometimes? Yeah? Oh I know.
- 3:08Speaker 1: So it's New Year's eve. I want you to It's
- 3:10Speaker 1: New Year's Eve? What are you doing? New Year's Eve?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Can I ask you that? Uh? Making a resolution? You
- 3:18Speaker 1: hear the song what do you do? I don't know?
- 3:21Speaker 1: That's literally don't know it what? I don't know what
- 3:26Speaker 1: you're talking about. Maybe it's just too early in the game,
- 3:33Speaker 1: is John legend? It's a classic Christmas line I guess
- 3:37Speaker 1: played every year on the radio. Literally never heard it.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Never mind. Antecdote dead. Antecdote has always been dead because
- 3:45Speaker 1: it's not a word. Brian oh Gorman is wanting to
- 3:50Speaker 1: put together, put put together, a little get together, put
- 3:53Speaker 1: together together with some friends. Okay, okay, and he's twenty one.
- 3:57Speaker 1: All of his friends are twenty one, but they're freaking
- 3:59Speaker 1: respond Onnile because they know they want to have a
- 4:02Speaker 1: good time. So they get some hotel rooms, fifteen of them, guys, girls,
- 4:08Speaker 1: separate hotel rooms. What responsible? Responsible twenty one year olds?
- 4:14Speaker 1: And Casey was one of those friends of Brian that
- 4:19Speaker 1: was going to come to this get together. They've been
- 4:21Speaker 1: friends for about seven years, not anymore, not any more.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So he and his buddies are getting their room ready
- 4:28Speaker 1: for the folks to come, and they're all going to join, uh,
- 4:31Speaker 1: come to Brian's room for some drink in New Year's
- 4:34Speaker 1: Eve and then we'll retreat to their own hotel hotel rooms.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That's exactly right. And he wants to play some music
- 4:43Speaker 1: set the atmosphere, maybe maybe playing what do you Do
- 4:46Speaker 1: in New Year's Eve? A very popular song, and uh,
- 4:50Speaker 1: who's the artist? A lot of people, a lot of
- 4:53Speaker 1: people have done it for many, many years. Could have been.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Original song a very famous singer of Christmas music.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Ella, it's right. It could have been on Scotty's list. Wow. Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 1: that's how old it is. Yeah, I've never heard of it.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So he wants to put on some music. And the
- 5:12Speaker 1: way that he does that is he takes a laptop
- 5:15Speaker 1: just like this, a MacBook laptop, opens it up, keeps
- 5:21Speaker 1: it open ninety degrees yep, plays some music. Okay, cool,
- 5:26Speaker 1: And that's how he's gonna do to do a speaker No,
- 5:29Speaker 1: this is just it's using the speaker on the MacBook.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That's exactly right. And he puts it up high so that,
- 5:36Speaker 1: you know.
- 5:37Speaker 2: The sound disperses a little bit closer to the ceiling.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Also out of the way of everybody. Yeah, you know,
- 5:43Speaker 2: anybody knocking it over makes sense. So that's the scene, okay,
- 5:49Speaker 2: And she's going to use her tiptoes to put her
- 5:51Speaker 2: drink on it.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I already don't like Casey, So right now, the friends
- 5:54Speaker 1: will show up to his room. About forty minutes later,
- 5:59Speaker 1: Casey puts a drink down on the laptop and it
- 6:02Speaker 1: spills all over the laptop. They try to blow dry it,
- 6:05Speaker 1: put the drink anywhere else, and no such luck. Judge
- 6:09Speaker 1: then asked if she was drunk. She's and he says,
- 6:12Speaker 1: he speaks something. Who says the night it was an
- 6:14Speaker 1: early night. It was early in the night, early in
- 6:17Speaker 1: the night. None of us are drunk yet, okay. Casey's
- 6:21Speaker 1: version of the story is that they were having a
- 6:24Speaker 1: good time. Folks started to take pictures. Casey twenty one
- 6:28Speaker 1: years old, trying to become a professional. No, just like
- 6:32Speaker 1: she's you know, she's a young professional. They all are
- 6:34Speaker 1: trying to become professional, right but I'm talking about Casey
- 6:38Speaker 1: right now. Casey twenty one years old, trying to be
- 6:40Speaker 1: a young professional. Doesn't like to take pictures where she's
- 6:43Speaker 1: holding an alcoholic back. Okay, so everybody starts taking pictures.
- 6:48Speaker 1: She's like, hold on, she's looking around for a place
- 6:51Speaker 1: to put her drink. Behind her is an armoir. That's
- 6:55Speaker 1: where he he has it on top of an arm ware.
- 6:58Speaker 1: She claims that the armor about ten feet high. She
- 7:01Speaker 1: has to say it on her tippy toes.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Is she an eight foot tall woman? No, she is
- 7:09Speaker 2: less than six feet. If it's ten feet tall, I
- 7:11Speaker 2: am not placed on my I can't dunk a basketball jumping,
- 7:15Speaker 2: So my tip toes is eight and a half feet.
- 7:19Speaker 1: She says it's eight to ten. All that she knows
- 7:24Speaker 1: she's less than six feet. She has to stay it
- 7:27Speaker 1: on her tippy toes to put because it's the only
- 7:29Speaker 1: flat service that she could find. It's not the only
- 7:31Speaker 1: flat service in a hotel room close to it, Okay,
- 7:34Speaker 1: puts it up there.
- 7:36Speaker 2: She claims, did not see the laptop see it ninety degrees,
- 7:41Speaker 2: I know, did not.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Hear the music. Puts it on, falls down. She's like,
- 7:45Speaker 1: oh no, so then that's at this point. She gets
- 7:49Speaker 1: a chair, stands on top of the chair, looks sees
- 7:52Speaker 1: it as the laptop. They blow dry it, as mentioned,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and it worked for a couple of minutes. Then it stopped. GARYO.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Burman's getting his money back, so he takes his laptop
- 8:05Speaker 1: and he brings it to an Apple store and they
- 8:07Speaker 1: quote him seven hundred and fifty dollars to fix it.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Uh so it's been a few years, Casey says, Listen,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I'm not responsible for this. You throw a party, you
- 8:20Speaker 1: know that, and there's gonna be drinking. There's risk there,
- 8:23Speaker 1: and you shouldn't leave your laptop open. Part of leaving
- 8:26Speaker 1: your laptop open is you know someone might spill all
- 8:30Speaker 1: over the laptop. That's something that you decided to do.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And Judge Millian is like, how did you not see
- 8:37Speaker 1: the laptop though? And she's like, I don't know. I'm
- 8:39Speaker 1: sure it's very high. I couldn't see it. She says
- 8:43Speaker 1: that she offered to pay for half. Okay, I'm half responsible,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and then she says five hundred, so I don't know.
- 8:50Speaker 1: She says she was willing to pay my feet, you know,
- 8:52Speaker 1: half five hundred.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It's exactly right, half a seven fifty five five hundred,
- 8:55Speaker 2: that's exactly right, he says.
- 8:58Speaker 1: He says, that's true. She did offer to do that,
- 9:00Speaker 1: but then later she said that it was gonna have
- 9:02Speaker 1: to be later in the summer when I get a
- 9:04Speaker 1: job and get money and I just feel like she's
- 9:06Speaker 1: never gonna pay. Yeah, so that's why we're here today.
- 9:09Speaker 3: He then says, I have a picture of the armoire. Okay, okay,
- 9:16Speaker 3: my Guyah went back to the hotel. Motel said hey,
- 9:21Speaker 3: can I go into this room and just take a
- 9:23Speaker 3: picture of the arm and they said yes. And the
- 9:27Speaker 3: picture presented shows him standing next to the armoire, where
- 9:34Speaker 3: he is the exact same height as the armoir, so
- 9:40Speaker 3: not ten feet tall, he.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Is six feet tops. Judge Million trad.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Judgementleon follows the law typically, which makes this tough because
- 9:51Speaker 2: I think that Tommy o torman should get Brian O'Gorman.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Bryan O'Gorman, that's the one. Brian o gorman should get
- 9:59Speaker 2: all the money. I think she's either gonna come up
- 10:02Speaker 2: with some dumb nonsense about you inherent risk at a
- 10:05Speaker 2: party or it was a hotel room you split seas
- 10:08Speaker 2: final answer, she's gonna have him split it.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Final answer, She's not gonna have him split it. She's
- 10:12Speaker 1: he's gonna get all the money. Dude. I love judgment.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Judge money On says it's all your faults. He was
- 10:18Speaker 1: in hide in the laptop. In fact, you open it
- 10:20Speaker 1: up and put it so high because he didn't want
- 10:23Speaker 1: this to happen.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And I also don't believe you that you couldn't see it.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I see a picture where he's the same height as
- 10:32Speaker 1: the height of it, and I know that you can
- 10:34Speaker 1: see the top of his head. It's key seven hundred
- 10:36Speaker 1: and fifty.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Dollars plus tax plus court costs.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Let's go dip it low, let's split. How about that?
- 10:43Speaker 1: Good for her? Casey get lost?
- 10:46Speaker 2: Hey, you want to take a break. It's something that
- 10:48Speaker 2: we haven't done in a while, and I take it.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I need to stretch after that because I was really
- 10:52Speaker 2: fired up there. Gott all all sit back down.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Stand back up. Welcome back, oh, gavel, gavel. We just
- 11:02Speaker 1: exiited the courtroom of Judge Million and we're heading into
- 11:07Speaker 1: the courtroom of Judge mat Mathos.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Thank you, Debity. Brandon Randall no last name. He doesn't
- 11:15Speaker 2: care if you know him. In fact, he would actually
- 11:17Speaker 2: like that you know him. I just didn't give his
- 11:19Speaker 2: last name. I didn't write it down. Casey specifically doesn't
- 11:22Speaker 2: want to last I was like going really fast on
- 11:25Speaker 2: the laptop, and I was like, I'll go back and
- 11:27Speaker 2: rewind it, and then I couldn't find it and it
- 11:28Speaker 2: was a whole thing. So I just I don't have it.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I don't have it gang and it is what it is.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:33Speaker 2: So Randall's suing Arthur Young for two thousand and four
- 11:36Speaker 2: hundred and ninety five dollars for car repairs. H big money.
- 11:41Speaker 2: So Randall is in a three piece suit with pastel colors.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Is church red d. He says, you're on our families.
- 11:50Speaker 2: This young man in my families have been neighbors for
- 11:52Speaker 2: over fifty years and have a long term relationship.
- 11:55Speaker 1: That's excellent.
- 11:56Speaker 2: My mom and his grandma went to school together. This
- 11:59Speaker 2: commune means a lot to me. I was in prison
- 12:02Speaker 2: as a young man. I wrote a book after I
- 12:05Speaker 2: got into prison. I have a copy for you. Now
- 12:09Speaker 2: Mathis is Mathis isn't having it. He said, you're not
- 12:11Speaker 2: going to come in here and promote your stuff. You
- 12:13Speaker 2: think because I went because Mathis is a felon. Matthis
- 12:15Speaker 2: went to prison. You think because you went to prison
- 12:18Speaker 2: and I went to prison, I'm won't come in here
- 12:20Speaker 2: and promote your stuff. But this sounds like you're trying
- 12:22Speaker 2: to glorify your past of crime. I wrote a book too,
- 12:26Speaker 2: but I gave a lot of insight in my past,
- 12:27Speaker 2: and the crux of it was instructional, not glorification. And
- 12:30Speaker 2: the name of that book is Inner City Miracle, and
- 12:32Speaker 2: he smiles.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Wow. Wait for it though.
- 12:35Speaker 2: So the guy goes, you're one of the reason I'm
- 12:37Speaker 2: telling you this is because one I care about the
- 12:40Speaker 2: community a great deal.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I got out of the community.
- 12:42Speaker 2: And then I ended up we ended up adopting eight
- 12:46Speaker 2: boys because they I didn't want these kids to grow
- 12:49Speaker 2: up in the community, to grow up without a last
- 12:51Speaker 2: name and end up in juvenile services. So I wanted
- 12:55Speaker 2: to be have something, be something, and so I did that.
- 12:58Speaker 2: We're all twenty to three years older.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Okay. He's like, I'm an advocate for the community.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I'm advocate for the youth in our community, and as
- 13:05Speaker 2: an advocate, it behooves me to sue this young man.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Wow. And Mathis goes, wh Where you're from? He says Detroit?
- 13:11Speaker 2: And Mathis all of a sudden starting to change his
- 13:13Speaker 2: tune about Randall because Mathis is from Detroit.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Where are you from? He says?
- 13:17Speaker 2: He says the East side of Detroit. He goes, oh,
- 13:19Speaker 2: that's a tough neighborhood. And then Randall says, well, we
- 13:23Speaker 2: have actually a history, believe it or not. And Mathis goes,
- 13:27Speaker 2: were you in jail with me? And he says, no,
- 13:30Speaker 2: years ago, when I was in college, I did my
- 13:31Speaker 2: internship at this he names this community center and this person,
- 13:35Speaker 2: and Mathis.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Goes, yeah, that's my guy. It's a mentor.
- 13:39Speaker 2: And then he's basically and he goes, and this is
- 13:42Speaker 2: when you were a young lawyer, just starting to practice law,
- 13:45Speaker 2: and you would come over to the community center. Wow,
- 13:47Speaker 2: this guy is helping you out. And I literally watched
- 13:50Speaker 2: you like to step up the ladder. Yeah, and I
- 13:54Speaker 2: gotta be honest. Mathis almost in tears. Wow, it's pretty beautiful.
- 13:58Speaker 2: It's a pretty cool scene. Math is almost in tears,
- 14:02Speaker 2: and he's like, all right, thank you very much. We
- 14:03Speaker 2: got to get back to the case. But then he
- 14:05Speaker 2: does give the name of his book, which is just
- 14:07Speaker 2: about that. So let's go over to Arthur. Arthur's like,
- 14:10Speaker 2: your honor. I'm twenty one years old. I attend it
- 14:13Speaker 2: t I'm a trustee at my church. I play drums,
- 14:15Speaker 2: I attend every Sunday. Math does a full bit about church.
- 14:18Speaker 2: We don't have time for it, about how you didn't
- 14:20Speaker 2: tell your pastor's name. Your pastor's gonna be mad at you.
- 14:22Speaker 2: How many titles does he have? Apostle, disciple, PhD, blah
- 14:25Speaker 2: blah blah's old ship.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Arthur's like your honor. I'm a nice guy.
- 14:29Speaker 2: My mom raised me to be good, to be respectful
- 14:31Speaker 2: to elders. And mathis has one you go to Wednesday
- 14:34Speaker 2: night service? He goes, yes, sir, I got a Wednesday
- 14:36Speaker 2: night Bible study. This guy's very kind, very like soft
- 14:38Speaker 2: spoken man. He's like, okay, so what's going on here?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Why are you two like you?
- 14:42Speaker 1: Just us guys?
- 14:44Speaker 2: March twenty nine, four thirty am. I here a loud
- 14:46Speaker 2: crash outside, gunshot. I look outside and the utility poll
- 14:52Speaker 2: across the street is down and it's laying across their cadillac.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Then I look over his Cadillac, not his Arthur Cadillac. Oh.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Then I look over and that utility pole going down
- 15:04Speaker 2: has pulled down my utility pole strung across and my
- 15:08Speaker 2: car basically looks like a hot dog bun the middle
- 15:10Speaker 2: where the cabin is has been smashed.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Pizza pizza, hot dog, pizza, pizza hot or French fried.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That's right.
- 15:16Speaker 2: So I'm like, oh, my goodness. So I call the
- 15:18Speaker 2: energy company to complain. Uh and well, once the you know,
- 15:22Speaker 2: the cops come, blah blah blah. I call the energy company,
- 15:25Speaker 2: I call the telephone company, and both of them say, hey,
- 15:27Speaker 2: this is not our fault. This is this young man's fault.
- 15:30Speaker 2: His car hit the pole. You have to get your
- 15:32Speaker 2: money from him. You don't get to sue us. This
- 15:35Speaker 2: is we will come out there, but our claim will
- 15:37Speaker 2: say it's this guy's fault. He owes you money, so
- 15:39Speaker 2: you've got to sue him. Wait, he was calling the
- 15:41Speaker 2: energy company to have them pay for the power.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll get there. Because it gets a little complicated,
- 15:47Speaker 1: but well, okay, so he wants to pay for the
- 15:50Speaker 1: power lines and his car and his car his car
- 15:53Speaker 1: is needs three dollars worth of damage. I mean, I
- 15:56Speaker 1: think the power company should pay for half of that,
- 15:59Speaker 1: so power lines.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Arthur is like, I've always had the most respect for
- 16:03Speaker 2: Randall and his entire family. Whole situation could have been easy.
- 16:07Speaker 2: His niece turned this into a nightmare.
- 16:09Speaker 1: She was there.
- 16:10Speaker 2: She came out screaming, cussing, and I was scared.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I didn't know what to do.
- 16:14Speaker 2: And matthis like, well she's supposed to come out smiling
- 16:16Speaker 2: like a telephone poles on top of her car, and
- 16:18Speaker 2: he's like, I just went inside to get my phone
- 16:20Speaker 2: to take pictures. My mom is trying to keep me calm,
- 16:23Speaker 2: assuring it's an accident. And Mathis goes, do you think
- 16:26Speaker 2: you're responsible? He goes, no, your honor, it was an accident,
- 16:30Speaker 2: and it was an accident. He goes and the pole
- 16:32Speaker 2: and he stopped, and he goes, did you hit the pole?
- 16:34Speaker 2: He goes, I, Gray, I rubbed against it. I grazed it.
- 16:38Speaker 2: This isn't It's like, it's like, okay, kid, but wait
- 16:41Speaker 2: for it.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Uh.
- 16:43Speaker 2: He's like, you grazed a telephone pole and it fall
- 16:46Speaker 2: and he says, your honor, it was rotted out. Our
- 16:49Speaker 2: neighborhood's terrible. The power lines haven't been fixed and that's
- 16:52Speaker 2: why it fell. And I have pictures. Matthis says, So
- 16:57Speaker 2: your defense is the pole was rotted. You make a
- 16:59Speaker 2: mistake you should have avoided. That's calling negligence. You're always
- 17:03Speaker 2: responsible for negligence. And he goes, you're on The street
- 17:06Speaker 2: lights were also out. So it's four three in the morning.
- 17:09Speaker 2: The street lights aren't working.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 17:11Speaker 2: We don't get that information because he was leaving his
- 17:14Speaker 2: house though he wasn't show interesting. He was backing down
- 17:17Speaker 2: the driveway and he's like, the street lights were out,
- 17:19Speaker 2: the pole was rotted. It's hard to see, okay, all right,
- 17:22Speaker 2: So Mathis gets picks and we see the base of
- 17:26Speaker 2: these telephone poles in it is unconscionable. The polls are like,
- 17:32Speaker 2: it looks like termites have gotten it looks awful, like
- 17:36Speaker 2: it looks like a strong push.
- 17:37Speaker 1: This is when Gino would bring out.
- 17:39Speaker 2: A an expert, an expert now when you see these
- 17:45Speaker 2: and and then so Mathis is like, Sarranda, what do
- 17:47Speaker 2: you say to this? He's like, well, nobody knew the
- 17:48Speaker 2: poll was rotted because it was still standing and the
- 17:51Speaker 2: city said it wasn't. And matthis is like, of course
- 17:53Speaker 2: they're going to say that it wasn't rotted. It's if
- 17:56Speaker 2: they say it's rotted, then they have to fix it.
- 17:58Speaker 2: And he said, you're on our All I know is
- 18:01Speaker 2: my car. He's twenty four hundred and ninety five dollars
- 18:04Speaker 2: worth of maintenance or fit like repairs. I called the
- 18:09Speaker 2: energy company. I called AT and T. They both told
- 18:11Speaker 2: me that this was not their problem. Maths is ready
- 18:14Speaker 2: to rule who is suing who. Randall is suing Arthur
- 18:18Speaker 2: for two ninety five dollars to fix his car. The
- 18:23Speaker 2: power company's fixing the telephone poles the car. His car
- 18:27Speaker 2: is broken because the kid hit the telephone pole and
- 18:30Speaker 2: knocked him down. But the kid's cars also yes, well
- 18:33Speaker 2: we're not No, it's just Randall for his own car.
- 18:36Speaker 2: He can't drive it. Four and ninety five dollars. This
- 18:39Speaker 2: is a very tough case. It's really very tough.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And I think if this maybe took place anywhere other
- 18:48Speaker 1: than the east side of Detroit, maybe we have a
- 18:51Speaker 1: different verdict here. But I think I think that math
- 18:55Speaker 1: Is is gonna be like, you know what, I grew
- 18:57Speaker 1: up in neighborhoods like this where these type of things
- 19:01Speaker 1: weren't taken care of. And this kid is a young kid.
- 19:05Speaker 1: You know, the street lights weren't being maintained, the telephone
- 19:09Speaker 1: poll was rotted. I think we're gonna give the kid
- 19:12Speaker 1: a break here. I think I think we should give
- 19:15Speaker 1: the kid a break here. Is that so crazy?
- 19:17Speaker 2: It is not so crazy? Brand but matthis gives Randall half.
- 19:21Speaker 2: He says, you know what you need to do. You
- 19:23Speaker 2: need to take both the phone company and the power
- 19:25Speaker 2: company the small claims court, and he lists the specific
- 19:29Speaker 2: court in east side Detroit. You go to this court,
- 19:32Speaker 2: you file these papers, and you take him to court,
- 19:34Speaker 2: and you sue him, because that's who's responsible, at least partially.
- 19:37Speaker 1: This kid shouldn't hit the pole.
- 19:39Speaker 2: He's half responsible, the power company and the telephone company.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Whichever one you decide is the other fifty percent responsible.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I'm giving you half.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I don't hate that. I loved it. I thought Matthews
- 19:49Speaker 1: did the right thing. Fun time.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I love that. I love that, and I love this.
- 19:53Speaker 2: I love what we did today. Yeah, we took a break.
- 19:55Speaker 2: We told everybody to sit down. It was different. It's different.
- 20:00Speaker 2: People think we can't evolve, but we can't grow in here.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I think everybody can learn something every day and just
- 20:06Speaker 2: keep slowly but surely get better or take a break.
- 20:09Speaker 1: This is really good stuff. Back tomorrow, next week, tomorrow
- 20:13Speaker 1: later all right. Yo. Gabble Gavel and the Ramble Dans
- 20:21Speaker 1: is times by Aaron Shay. It's written by Brandon Gray.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I wrote it, wrote it. That's right.
- 20:26Speaker 2: You can find more information on Yo Gabble Gavel at
- 20:28Speaker 2: bramblejamplus dot com, or you can watch these episodes years early.
- 20:31Speaker 1: We already know who won the election. Uh yeah, that's it,
- 20:36Speaker 1: David the Company. You're about to hear some ads that
- 20:44Speaker 1: helped keep the lights on here in the old studio.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Thanks for listening, or don't listen. It's really up to you.
- 20:51Speaker 1: At this point is at the end of the show.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I mean, you're listening to me Hi. But here they come.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I promised they're coming. Yep, here they are happy
