up in classic, which is like my last goal before wrath Lich King

excellently. Well, except for the fact that

everyone Almost everything it seems is also trying to do the

same thing before the expansion hits.

And so I'm basically basically just relying on the dailies and

not being able to let get too many of the eggs that make it

exponentially easier to get that rep.

So, yeah, it's, it's been a little bit slower of a long bit

slower process than I was originally anticipating.

But it's coming along nicely and I should definitely be writing

another Drake before the expansion launches which is all

I have not been playing much classic after unlocking.

The Death Knight starting experience getting myself the

Really love that mount other than that, of course, being

doing Mount hunting. And then first, with the ray

team, we've been going through the faded ones.

We've done all of the normal and heroic level.

And then starting next week, we're going to be pushing into

the Mythic to try and get those or at least trying to get some

of the other sort of achievements that you can get

within that. Because, as we will be talking

about soon, there are Things that are becoming a lot more

That's kind of the first part of the news because you getting

So, yeah, things are moving along very quickly blizzard, put

Pretty meaningful spaces in in, everyone's hearts that have

played this game because it's a, it's a pretty, pretty big moment

that leads to a lot of things happening including shadowlands,

where, if that event hadn't happened, we wouldn't have

So, Yeah, some fantastic. You should definitely check it

out. And then also related to Classic

that one. It's like, we haven't, we

haven't actually gotten into the meat and potatoes of Wrath

classic, and they're already already putting feelers out for

How do you feel about them asking about cataclysm already?

So it sort of makes sense. I think that, they already have

had internal discussions, of course.

And I don't know where people think classic was kind of going.

Obviously, there was always the initial question when we were

going into thinking about burning Crusade.

The Vanilla and does, like a else World sort of like, how do

we develop it without going into the expansion models that they

did before? Kind of like they have done with

other games, not blizzard but other games have gone along with

that or if it was going to go along the lines that it has,

these definitive releases with like, one sort of patch balance.

That would take it all the way through and We're really

clamoring to get to wrath, right?

But really I want to get back to wrath and that's that's World of

Warcraft, the golden age as it were.

So now that we're at this point, the question is, where do we go

next? And of course, blizzard should

be asking those questions. I think that cataclysm kind of

gets a bad rap because of the end game and people were quote

unquote parked and the major cities between raids.

And that led to, where things started developing from there

Mists of Pandaria with the tons and tons of dailies the daily

overload, then into all the expansion since where the end

game and what we do in between stuff, has been something that

we've been looking at to a point where we're at now, in

dragonflight where that path that we went down.

About doing stuff in between raid and making content in

between raids, led to us having the quote-unquote chores, daily

chores callings emissaries. What have you the zones that you

had to get all of this stuff in order to be quote, unquote

prepared for the raid? And did that start in cataclysm

or is that where we want to put the blame because it actually

didn't start in cataclysm? I think cataclysm was the most

separated you could be. From the game and still be up to

date. You could basically raid log

outside of the Firelands. Hmm front that you would do a

little bit. I don't recall there being any

really required content to be raid.

Ready in terms of the last raid in there.

They were some dungeons that took you back in the time.

I'm but yeah, dragon soul I don't think had much requirement

outside every implicitly Rogue and working on those legs unless

you were going for fangs of the father.

That was yeah, that I don't really think like outside of

outside of farming raid. Consumables.

I don't really think that there was much interaction to be had

and that's so that even is it kind of a departure from wrath

itself because in Wrath, you still had you still had to get

like you had to find out which reputation gave your So shoulder

in chant, which is similar thing for cataclysm as well.

Like, that was something They carried over for Math and to

Caddo was like, you had to know which rep gave your your

appropriate shoulder. Enchant, you had to grind that

reputation out in in the first, you know, before the first raid

you had to do that. And once you did that, like, you

didn't really have to think about it again, beyond that.

And the only reason you went to go do dailies, was to make gold,

or in the case of the Firelands. It has owned and the the daily

Hub that opened up there. Really, the only thing you were

doing with dailies was just to go make gold and that was that
14:16
was like the main incentive to go do that daily content.

Whereas I think you're right in that the I think the major shift

in like the quote unquote mundane in-game content of the

The Daily Grind. Really didn't get cemented into

what it kind of is today until Mists of Pandaria.

So that's I have had very conflicted feelings about where

I would like to see classic go in that.

I'm not opposed to to them going into cataclysm classic.

But with each expansion that they introduced with each

expansion that they subsequently go to Beyond The Wrath of the

Lich King, I think there are going to be more and more and

more. Splinters within the player base

of people that want to be playing that and it for all
15:16
intents and purposes is basically free content for
15:18
blizzard, right? Like it's something that they're

able to they're able to get these servers spun up, get the

you know basic Bug fixing out of the way to make sure that the

the game environment is running on their servers properly.

So that we don't have like, major game-breaking issues,

which is basically an MMO in maintenance mode already.

So they don't really have to put too much effort into it because

they're not developing anything new for it, so it's it's just
15:52
easy for them to produce. And to keep people playing the

game because it's it is something that they have done a

very smart thing of just saying. Hey, if you have a wow,

subscription, you just get access to this for free and it's

kind of just been bundled up into it and so, having that as a

source of content for them is, is good.

Because people obviously want to be playing it, right?

Like it's something that people have been asking for for years

and years and years, we finally have it and Rath itself is the

single most asked for your version of the game that we've

wanted to get back to in the classic community.

So anything beyond Wrath of the Lich King, I feel like is just

going to be splintering. The player base a little bit

further because there's going to be people that want to go back

and like we got we got to play through vanilla.

We got to season our Mastery for for vanilla that was also

popular. Simultaneously running alongside
17:07
burning Crusade classic which had the majority of the of the

classic players in it. Mind you.

And I feel like a similar thing will happen with Rekha Lich

King. Although what they're doing with
17:19
classic is their kind of bringing the season or Mastery
17:23
crew and the burning Crusade classic crew together into Rath.

And then are then going to be looking at ways that they could

bring back something similar to what?

They've done with season. Our Mastery, with vanilla and

burning crusade to run. Alongside wrath classic after
17:43
the fact. So like There's going to be that

kind of continuing that kind of same cycle of they they come out

with the come out, the expansion and they do a season of Mastery

after that's kind of a sped-up version of it.

And so the more expansions they add to that, the more kind of

fractured, I feel like things are going to be unless they do

it very controlled where they only have like one season or

Mastery and then wherever current classic is at the time.

So, I don't know. I don't know what the future of

classic looks like. And I think the most important

thing to me right now is just to be excited about wrath and then

worry about what happens once we've gotten once, we've gotten

a good ways in to interact, then I'll start worrying more about

like, okay, like what does this actually mean?

What is, what is cataclysm classic actually mean to me?

And then we can go from there or I can go from there on how I

feel about it anyway, but yeah. Classic come September 26th.

So the question for you and for the audience and for everybody

who maybe doesn't like the thought of cataclysm or doesn't

want to think about it right now, but where else would you

want Warcraft to go? Would you want them to be

forever in Wrath and no new content comes out for classic?

This week, we had the valve drakon realm, open up and this

is an endgame test realm, kind of.

A gear which is where you're going to be.

When you're starting to do, endgame content, you are still

stuck in Stormwind, stuck in Orgrimmar, and unable to go out

into the world. So we're unable to test one of

the big question marks that I've had, which is what's our daily

routine. What's that time in between

that? We're just talking about with

cataclysm and wrath and all of that.

But you are able to test the solo Shuffle which is PVP,

literally One V, one kind of round robin tournament that they

introduced a little while back and have been refining.

Their further refining it now. So that based on your

performance, you could, you can actually gain and lose rating.

So they're upping the stakes in this, for the PVP enthusiasts,

that's going to be a big thing. You're also going to be able to

in the future, Sure, be able to test out the professions Mythic

plus. And of course rating when those,

those become active and I have already seen people data miners

on many different sites including MMO-Champion in a data

mining Discord that I'm in and of course Wowhead pulling out

things from the back. So we know things such as maps

of the raid itself and how that's being laid out.

And we're also seeing things like what dungeons we're going

to have for the Mythic plus pool.

Remember that this season Mythic plus is going to be a

combination of 4 dungeons that we're going to see as we level

up and hit the cap. And for legacy, dungeons is what

I will call them. Now this means that season one

is going to have the Ruby Life Pools.

The gal fire academy. The Knockout defend so offensive

And the Azure vault. From the new Dungeons and the

other four will be in season 2. And then returning from Legacy

content is going to be Shadow Moon, burial, grounds Temple of

I already said shadowmoon, burial grounds, but the one that

I missed was the halls of Valor so for people who have done

Opportunity for people to be creative in the runs and to pull

that one little trick where if you have the right professions

you can run through it faster which is something that I'm not

too much a fan off in the Mythic plus environment.

You're already having to balance which classes you bring and Best

professions for for a 20 plus quarter Stars run.

Not my cup of tea. I know that Mythic bus, isn't

is the display changes, a heads-up.

Display is finally, including our character bar and resource

Display is, is quite literally how you interact with the World

of Warcraft. And I'm so glad that it's

getting refurbished and updated to 2022 for the last few months

before it becomes 2023. Then we also have crafting

Crafting stations have been added for testing including out

in the world. So you don't always have to head

to Val Dragon to to do that, that's going to be great because

that sort of availability is going to improve the feedback

that we're getting. These professions seem to be a

major part of what we're going to be doing past level 70 in

dragon fight. And I'm really looking forward

to seeing like, How exactly they interact and what you can do

with that because I want them to realize the goal of being able

to identify yourself. As much as say, a Alchemist or

an enchanter, as you would a priest or a warlock, it might be

that when you're thinking about your alt it is not just oh what

spec? And class I am playing but what

There are some people who already kind of do that.

They're like, you know, I always play spell, spell casters, and

for that reason like enchanting has always appealed to me as

already working with that kind of magic and kind of reinforcing

deliberate Choice rather than sort of an afterthought very

much about great. Very, very much agree with that,

and it looks Like I've said this before but it looks like

professions are shaping up to be like the endgame thing, it just

like for me it's going to depend more on.

Like if that becomes the reality of it is going to depend on

whether or not the implementation in the open world

is something that that you can, you can jump into and is well

supported in the end. Game systems themselves aside

from rating and Mythic plus and the EVP and like getting the

resources that we can get from them, it's going to be going

into the going into the max level Zone and having things

that are engaging to do there that also affect how the the the

profession system as a whole is going to operate day-to-day.

So it that's that's what I'm looking for the most in how the

end game is going to work out. Yeah.

So I think Professions need a good looking at from people who

are really invested and people who are really not invested,

both in equal quantity because part of making these more
31:52
intrinsic and making these more intricate, it's going to be how

much people would bounce off of them.

If they're not people who have been Auction House goblins but

for anything like that. Moving on from that, the Legacy

content is getting rescaling, Andre re-engineered.

So scaling from Level 10 to 60, that was adjusted earlier and

then the that was adjustments were removed and now we're

seeing them come back again. So you're seeing a lot less of

the experience needed to get there, especially in that little

last run from 50 to 60 because that's where We were initially

doing are quote unquote, last expansion and game content in

our current expansion and that's going to get rolled in, with

chromey time. So again, you'll do one to ten

as a starting experience, either Exiles reach of your new player,

you are always going to be doing XLS, reach.

If you are a quote-unquote veteran player, or if you've

just done any of it before, you can do the original starting
