A woman in Alaska was violently attacked by a mother bear and her cubs on her deck early Thursday morning after she fired a shotgun in defense of her dog. The bear, undeterred by the gunfire, charged her — but was eventually driven off by a neighbor who yelled at it. The woman suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.
