0:26
SPEAKER_01: A lot of G's.

0:41
SPEAKER_00: Sitting about thinking about going and sitting in the hot tub.
0:45
SPEAKER_00: Um, nice.
0:46
SPEAKER_00: It's kind of chilly here this morning.
0:50
SPEAKER_00: Um up all night with my very old dog.
0:54
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't, I don't, I don't, I'm curious about this.
0:58
SPEAKER_01: Like, why like the dog will he you know or bar?
1:01
SPEAKER_01: Like, why do you have to be up with the dog?
1:03
SPEAKER_01: Why can't you just close the door to your room and let the dog do what the dog's gonna do?
1:07
SPEAKER_00: Um that's a real question.
1:10
SPEAKER_00: Well, okay.
1:11
SPEAKER_00: Um let's just I I I don't like talking about bathroom stuff.
1:17
SPEAKER_00: So let's just say the dog was having tummy troubles.
1:21
SPEAKER_00: Uh okay.
1:22
SPEAKER_01: So there you go.
1:23
SPEAKER_01: Right.
1:23
SPEAKER_01: That's that's somebody right now is eating their lunch or breakfast when they're listening to the T.
1:29
SPEAKER_00: Right.
1:30
SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm helping I'm right, exactly.
1:32
SPEAKER_00: So you don't TMI.
1:35
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
1:36
SPEAKER_00: Don't need that much information.
1:39
SPEAKER_00: Have you ever been to a harbor freight?
1:42
SPEAKER_00: Um I don't think I have.
1:46
SPEAKER_00: I don't have.
1:47
SPEAKER_00: Aren't aren't aren't they wonderful?
1:49
SPEAKER_00: Isn't it one of those things that once you go you can't not ever go, you can't not ever go anywhere else.
1:57
SPEAKER_00: Or you can't ever go anywhere else, whatever.
2:00
SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't have that feeling about it.
2:02
SPEAKER_01: Um, but for me it's the closest place to my work that I can get like little things that I need.
2:08
SPEAKER_01: It's like the closest hardware store, adjacent hardware store that I can go to.
2:13
SPEAKER_01: But I'm one I'm curious, I was gonna ask you like, do they have drop cloths in in Harbor Freight?
2:17
SPEAKER_00: And I might have to go to Lowe's, which is further down the road.
2:20
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't I guess I don't know then.
2:22
SPEAKER_01: They have tools, it's good, it's good for tools.
2:25
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've bought tools here, cheap tools.
2:27
SPEAKER_00: You can buy like power tools and you know, chainsaws, and you know.
2:30
SPEAKER_01: But the thing is, some of the tools, if you buy they're cheap tools, but then they if you don't need them all the time, it's fine.
2:36
SPEAKER_01: But if you're using it all the time, you don't need to buy uh these crappy tools.
2:39
SPEAKER_01: They're not that they're not that oh okay.
2:42
SPEAKER_01: But if you need a wrench or something, then it's great for that.
2:45
SPEAKER_01: It's cheap wrenches, you know.
2:47
SPEAKER_01: Right.
2:48
SPEAKER_01: All right.
2:48
SPEAKER_01: Well, what about your so I was telling you about my problem, and then you said today we're gonna talk about your problem.
2:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, my problem is I don't know that there's enough time.
2:56
SPEAKER_01: Well, you know what?
2:57
SPEAKER_01: There's tomorrow there's the rest of our lives, Steve.
3:00
SPEAKER_01: We don't you know uh yeah Can you just can you can you can you give me a little like can you touch on it?
3:07
SPEAKER_00: Well, there's no name for it.
3:09
SPEAKER_00: That's this that's the first thing is there's no name, there's no like clinical, you know, you can't be there's no treatment for what I have.
3:20
SPEAKER_00: Well there's medicine that'll help, I'm sure.
3:21
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm not sure.
3:23
SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, I'm not sure.
3:25
SPEAKER_00: It's it's I guess after after talking with therapists and trying to talk, you know, talk through it, the best way I can describe it is that I live on Mars.
3:38
SPEAKER_00: That's where I live.
3:39
SPEAKER_00: I live on Mars.
3:41
SPEAKER_00: And um you know, uh the the the best the the best way to kind of um describe it in a real world way is if you put your hand up in front of your face, which you probably can't do because you're driving.
4:03
SPEAKER_00: No, now I'm at Harbor Freight.
4:04
SPEAKER_00: Okay looking for truck claw.
4:06
SPEAKER_00: Right.
4:06
SPEAKER_00: So put your hand up in front of your face.
4:09
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
4:10
SPEAKER_00: Right?
4:10
SPEAKER_00: So your hands in front of your face, right?
4:12
SPEAKER_00: Now look past your hand to whatever's beyond it, right?
4:18
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
4:19
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
4:19
SPEAKER_00: So now you're you can you can see the thing that's past your hand, right?
4:25
SPEAKER_00: Right.
4:26
SPEAKER_00: And you can kind of see your hand, right?
4:29
SPEAKER_00: Like it's there, it's there.
4:31
SPEAKER_00: A lot of your hand, yeah.
4:32
SPEAKER_00: You can tell there's a hand there, but you're not focused on your hand, because you're focusing on what's past that.
4:39
SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
4:40
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
4:40
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
4:41
SPEAKER_00: Gotcha.
4:42
SPEAKER_00: So so the hand represents like to me the room I'm in or the people I'm talking to.
4:55
SPEAKER_00: Like, they're there, it's there, but I can't really see it because I live on Mars.
5:04
SPEAKER_01: You're looking at something else.
5:05
SPEAKER_00: Well, it's it's not like I'm looking towards like um I'm looking towards the person.
5:12
SPEAKER_00: Or I'm or I'm look or I'm or there I know I'm in a room, but I don't really I can't really focus on the room.
5:20
SPEAKER_00: Like I can't really see it because I'm somewhere else all the time.
5:26
SPEAKER_00: I you know, like I inhabit this body and this and and I'm kind of going through the motions of life, but I'm not really here.
5:37
SPEAKER_00: I'm like on Mars.
5:39
SPEAKER_00: So I don't know what that is.
5:40
SPEAKER_01: I don't know where are you?
5:42
SPEAKER_01: But but but you're not on Mars, that's a planet.
5:44
SPEAKER_01: You're you're at work, you're thinking about something else.
5:48
SPEAKER_00: It's anytime, it's any time, it's any time.
5:51
SPEAKER_00: If I'm sitting around talking to people, I'm like, yep, there's people here in this room, and I acknowledge that I can I I I'm in the same room with them, but I'm not I'm not really looking at them.
6:03
SPEAKER_00: I'm not really seeing them.
6:07
SPEAKER_00: I'm not, I don't know, it sounds so weird.
6:10
SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, it's a it's a hard one.
6:14
SPEAKER_00: It's a hard one to describe.
6:17
SPEAKER_00: Have you ever seen those paintings that or those those um it's kind of like your art where you'll see like lots of dots, but if you kind of defocus your eyes, you can see, oh, it's a horse or something.
6:28
SPEAKER_00: Ever seen those?
6:30
SPEAKER_00: Right?
6:32
SPEAKER_00: So defocusing your the what it takes, I can see those all the time without even having to try.
6:41
SPEAKER_00: Because my mind is always defocused.
6:45
SPEAKER_00: If that makes any sense.
6:59
SPEAKER_00: It's a weird ailment, and there's no cure except for drinking coffee.
7:07
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
7:08
SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
7:12
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
7:13
SPEAKER_00: That's it.
7:14
SPEAKER_00: Well, you did you did it.
7:15
SPEAKER_00: I guess I did it.
7:16
SPEAKER_01: You described it, but I mean you described it, and now give now I've got to spend 24 hours trying to figure out how I'm gonna fix you.
7:22
SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
7:23
SPEAKER_00: I described it, but not in any kind of way that makes any sense.
7:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
7:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
7:28
SPEAKER_01: So yeah, but there's gotta be some other other things going on besides just the hand in your face and the focus.
7:34
SPEAKER_01: There's gotta be well Can we wrap it up?
7:36
SPEAKER_01: Where are we doing?
7:37
SPEAKER_01: How are we doing on time?
7:38
SPEAKER_01: You I mean, do you know that eight minutes is like this is not seven and a half minutes.
7:44
SPEAKER_00: I know it's seven thirty.
7:46
SPEAKER_00: All right, so yeah.
7:47
SPEAKER_00: Um I here's what I tomorrow I think I I have some let's let's let's give some meetings.
7:54
SPEAKER_00: Let's start giving you some life hacks.
7:57
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
7:58
SPEAKER_00: All right, wrapping it.
