- 1:03Speaker 2: once a year, it's always a great time.
- 1:05Speaker 4: It's a good time, a great time.
- 1:06Speaker 2: It really is, because sometimes you get in here and
- 1:08Speaker 2: you're like, maybe this, maybe this is just for us,
- 1:11Speaker 2: and then you do it in front of people and.

- 1:25Speaker 2: Forty six und do I'm gonna go first, I'm gonna
- 1:27Speaker 2: say that. Just keep that in the hopper.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Go ahead. A coin flips don't mean anything anymore.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Not in the Year of Our Lord twenty twenty eighth.
- 1:35Speaker 2: They don't you stop using coins years ago?
- 1:39Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Rebecca Elevich Elevic speak for yourself is suing Malcolm A.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Laney for three thousand, nine and four dollars and seventy cents.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Life is unfair different Malcolm.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I know that, Rebecca says Malcolm.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And I worked for a landscaping company and I was
- 2:06Speaker 2: in charge of all the landscapers on for certain activities,
- 2:09Speaker 2: and one of those activities is Tuesday mornings. Tuesday mornings
- 2:12Speaker 2: is a little different at the old landscaping shop.
- 2:14Speaker 1: How could it be?
- 2:15Speaker 3: Well, it's Phillip Day, first of all, so every pill
- 2:18Speaker 3: everybody's yeah, all the tractors.
- 2:20Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:20Speaker 4: So the two things that happen on Tuesday, yeah, not Phillips.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They don't.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Only yards with the name Philip.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Basically every landscaper, Rebecca drives a truck every landscaper, brings
- 2:34Speaker 2: their gas can, puts it in her truck. Then they
- 2:36Speaker 2: all take the blades off of their tractors. Then they
- 2:38Speaker 2: get in their trucks. They follow her out of the
- 2:42Speaker 2: parking lot to a gas station, get their gas can
- 2:45Speaker 2: out of the back of her truck, fill up all
- 2:47Speaker 2: the stuff, come back, reset the razor blades. Start the day.
- 2:51Speaker 2: That's what they do every time. Wow, nobody leaves until
- 2:54Speaker 2: she leaves. She needs you to know that up. So, uh,
- 2:58Speaker 2: on this Tuesday morning, all the guys are putting their
- 3:00Speaker 2: gas tanks in my truck, in my truck, and uh,
- 3:03Speaker 2: there are several are still under the hoods of their
- 3:05Speaker 2: tractors replacing these blades right the dry It's a paved driveway,
- 3:10Speaker 2: but it's cluttered everywhere. I realize I left something inside.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I put my purse down right by my truck on
- 3:15Speaker 2: the driveway, on the ground, and I run inside. Within
- 3:20Speaker 2: a minute, Malcolm ran over in his truck one of
- 3:24Speaker 2: my back Judge mill Young.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Where was Malcolm going?
- 3:28Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 3:29Speaker 2: He shouldn't have been driving anywhere on Tuesday mornings. I
- 3:32Speaker 2: leave first, everyone follows me. No one gets in their truck.
- 3:34Speaker 2: He ran over her purse. Yeah, he said, so the
- 3:37Speaker 2: purse is on the ground in the driveway.
- 3:39Speaker 4: He's moving.
- 3:39Speaker 2: He's driving a truck for some reason, and he runs
- 3:42Speaker 2: it over, tired right.
- 3:44Speaker 4: On it blast flat.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Okay uh, And she goes, he shouldn't have been going anywhere.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Nobody leaves until I leave. There's people still changing the
- 3:52Speaker 2: blades and their tractors. It's a safety issue. You just
- 3:54Speaker 2: would never remove your truck. Judge will Yonaon's like, did
- 3:58Speaker 2: you ask him where he was going? She said, he
- 4:01Speaker 2: told me he was told to move the truck and
- 4:04Speaker 2: didn't look where he was going. But he shouldn't have
- 4:05Speaker 2: been moving the truck. Million's like, but why are you
- 4:09Speaker 2: Why are you gonna leave your person on the ground on
- 4:10Speaker 2: a driveway? Why are you gonna do that? And She's like,
- 4:13Speaker 2: there are people under the hoods of their tractors working.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I forgot something. I ran in to get it, knowing
- 4:19Speaker 2: that on Tuesday mornings, no one moves until I move
- 4:22Speaker 2: my truck. I'm the leader of this thing. It's every
- 4:25Speaker 2: Tuesday morning. People would come in and tell you it's
- 4:28Speaker 2: phill up day. That's right, it's fill up day. Phill up.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Wow, it's time to landscape, my yard.
- 4:34Speaker 1: It's so.
- 4:36Speaker 2: But she goes, Okay, I understand that, but your purse
- 4:39Speaker 2: isn't just a purse. I have a list here. It's
- 4:42Speaker 2: a four hundred dollars Kate Spade purse with three hundred
- 4:45Speaker 2: and forty five dollars Gucci sunglasses, a Chi hair straightener. Uh,
- 4:51Speaker 2: and what you claim two iPhones and what you claim
- 4:55Speaker 2: is one thousand dollars in essential oils. Why are you
- 4:59Speaker 2: leaving that purse on the ground. Why are you doing that?
- 5:05Speaker 3: And she goes, I will say, though that if if
- 5:07Speaker 3: that purse got ran over, like, no one's gonna have
- 5:11Speaker 3: an energies, it's gonna be crazy.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It's just in the general vicinity. It's gonna be right.
- 5:16Speaker 1: He doesn't stand it. Forget about it.
- 5:19Speaker 2: She then goes, you're honor. I understand why it sounds crazy,
- 5:22Speaker 2: but you don't. On Tuesday mornings, no one leaves till
- 5:25Speaker 2: I leave. It was one minute, no one leaves till
- 5:28Speaker 2: I leave. That's how that works. On Tuesday morning, no
- 5:31Speaker 2: one leaves till I leave. Million's like it's as driveway.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Though you put that purse's expensive, You put it on
- 5:37Speaker 2: the groundhy not put it in your truck. She goes,
- 5:39Speaker 2: I ran in for one minute. I just I couldn't
- 5:42Speaker 2: you know. I had to run in for one minute.
- 5:43Speaker 2: And I was like, okay, let me hear from you.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Malcolm is there with his parents. Malcolm is maybe twenty
- 5:47Speaker 2: two years old. Pa, and Malcolm's like, I worked for
- 5:51Speaker 2: this company for two years and then I left and
- 5:53Speaker 2: Million goes, did you leave because of this? He said, yes,
- 5:55Speaker 2: I left because of this incident and judgement. I was
- 5:59Speaker 2: like why, and he goes, it became uncomfortable to work there.
- 6:01Speaker 2: We used to talk with each other. She used to
- 6:04Speaker 2: help me out a lot, and now we stopped talking
- 6:06Speaker 2: because she wanted me to pay for her bag and
- 6:08Speaker 2: I didn't think I should have to pay for it. Uh, Millions,
- 6:11Speaker 2: do you have pictures of this stuff? Rebecca brings a
- 6:14Speaker 2: lot of the items to court, and Millions like, why
- 6:18Speaker 2: did you bring this stuff to court? This hair straightener
- 6:21Speaker 2: doesn't work, this phone doesn't work, and she said, I
- 6:24Speaker 2: brought it to court because I knew I was going
- 6:26Speaker 2: to have to file a claim when he said he
- 6:28Speaker 2: wouldn't pay me.
- 6:29Speaker 1: So that's why I have.
- 6:30Speaker 4: All these things. So you can see that they're all broken.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I'm just not making up a number, right.
- 6:36Speaker 2: And uh, Millions like, did you ask your boss about this, Malcolm?
- 6:40Speaker 2: And Malcolm says I did, but he said it wasn't
- 6:42Speaker 2: his issue and that y'all should just try to figure
- 6:44Speaker 2: it out together. And Millions, do you think he took
- 6:47Speaker 2: her side there? And Malcolm says, they have a pretty
- 6:50Speaker 2: personal relationship. I don't know what it is, but they
- 6:53Speaker 2: have a very close personal relationship. And I knew he
- 6:56Speaker 2: didn't want to get involved, I thought, especially on Philip. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 2: I feel that I don't think it was smart. He
- 7:02Speaker 2: thought it was smart for her to leave her bag
- 7:04Speaker 2: on the ground, but he just didn't want to get involved.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So, Uh, Malcolm's dad gets involved and says, I did
- 7:13Speaker 2: speak with Rebecca initially.
- 7:15Speaker 1: My son.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Forwarded me a.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Text that he got from her where she asked for
- 7:20Speaker 2: amount of money that was less than the amount she's
- 7:24Speaker 2: asking for now. And Million's like, what did she ask for?
- 7:27Speaker 2: And Malcolm's like, Malcolm's dad's like, I gotta pull up
- 7:29Speaker 2: this text. So he's getting it out. Malcolm's like the
- 7:32Speaker 2: owner and he goes, did you go home right after
- 7:34Speaker 2: it happened? And Million asked, Malcolm was like, yeah, the
- 7:37Speaker 2: owner of the company sent me home after I ran
- 7:39Speaker 2: over her purse, but I wasn't fired. I did quit
- 7:44Speaker 2: and this is She's like, what kind of truck is this?
- 7:46Speaker 2: It's a big truck, she said. He says, it's a
- 7:47Speaker 2: flatbed Ford F five point fifty, so it's a massive truck.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Can I ask just a quick question now, like I
- 7:55Speaker 3: would imagine that if I was going to put my
- 7:57Speaker 3: purse on the ground, I would like put it close
- 8:01Speaker 3: to my truck, like I'd maybe lean it up against
- 8:03Speaker 3: my tire or something like that. Where is her purse
- 8:07Speaker 3: on the ground where a giant truck can run over?
- 8:11Speaker 2: So it depends on who you ask. Rebecca says, when
- 8:16Speaker 2: we're doing Phillip Day, the driveway is very tight. All
- 8:20Speaker 2: the trucks and tractors are out there. It was a
- 8:22Speaker 2: tight That was the other thing. It's a tight fit
- 8:24Speaker 2: for him to drive an F five point fifty through
- 8:26Speaker 2: this space. So that's another reason why I thought my
- 8:29Speaker 2: bag was safe on the ground. Malcolm said, I was
- 8:31Speaker 2: supposed to go take a load of mulch to a
- 8:33Speaker 2: buddy's truck who asked me to do it before we
- 8:36Speaker 2: went for Philip Day. And that's why I was driving
- 8:38Speaker 2: and I was safe and I didn't hit any cars.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So if you ask Malcolm, there's plenty of rooms she
- 8:43Speaker 2: should have put it. She should have hung it on
- 8:44Speaker 2: her rear view mirror or just thrown it in the truck.
- 8:46Speaker 2: If you ask Rebecca, she's saying, hey, it's a tight driveway.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Nobody leaves till I leave.
- 8:51Speaker 2: So we find out that basically she just says it's
- 8:54Speaker 2: a four hundred dollars purse, nine hundred for the phone
- 8:56Speaker 2: and two hundred for the straightener, and there's some makeup
- 8:59Speaker 2: and perfume, but doesn't give it specific number.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Judge Willyon's ready.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Wow, I don't have a lot of info that I
- 9:09Speaker 3: would like. I just I have a hard time with
- 9:15Speaker 3: this because you did put on the ground, man, Like
- 9:23Speaker 3: that's tough, like anything, anything can.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Happen, a fool with your person, that's exactly right, Like
- 9:29Speaker 1: even like something else could have happened.
- 9:33Speaker 3: To the person on the ground, like it could like
- 9:37Speaker 3: they're dealing with with blades.
- 9:40Speaker 1: There's people walking around unil you got kicked something.
- 9:42Speaker 3: It's just not a wise place to put it. And
- 9:46Speaker 3: if you are gonna put on the ground, you should
- 9:48Speaker 3: put it close enough to your truck to where no
- 9:52Speaker 3: matter what, someone can't run over it or something like.
- 9:57Speaker 3: This was clearly like I'm imagining, like this is her
- 10:00Speaker 3: truck and her purse is just like out in the
- 10:02Speaker 3: middle of nowhere, Like for someone to be able to
- 10:06Speaker 3: drive over the person, it has to be nowhere near
- 10:09Speaker 3: her truck. I just don't I don't know. I think
- 10:12Speaker 3: it's super weird. I'd like, he did it, so I
- 10:18Speaker 3: gouts give her the money. He did it, like it
- 10:21Speaker 3: is said before, give her the money. Judge bill Yon
- 10:24Speaker 3: is with you.
- 10:25Speaker 2: She can't get over that this woman put her purse
- 10:28Speaker 2: in a driveway and expects to get reimbursed. She was like,
- 10:33Speaker 2: that is, like you you have an inherent risk there.
- 10:37Speaker 2: She said, how is This is her exact quote, and
- 10:39Speaker 2: she starts to amp up, and by the end of
- 10:41Speaker 2: this she is actually yelling at this woman, how is
- 10:44Speaker 2: a driveway a place for your purse? I'm kind of
- 10:46Speaker 2: stunned that you're here asking this gentleman to pay you
- 10:49Speaker 2: four thousand dollars because he should have known where a
- 10:52Speaker 2: purse would be in a driveway. And if you put
- 10:55Speaker 2: your purse down on the driveway, maybe don't have four
- 10:59Speaker 2: thousand dollars worth of stuff in it judgment in favor
- 11:03Speaker 2: of the defend that you get nothing.
- 11:04Speaker 1: It's it's it's good, it's good.
- 11:06Speaker 3: My My whole hang up was that he did he
- 11:08Speaker 3: did do it, did do it, he did do it,
- 11:10Speaker 3: and so like I don't know how much of that
- 11:12Speaker 3: is his responsibility, Like you know, yeah, that's tough. Yeah,
- 11:17Speaker 3: it's tough, tough for sure. I guess it's right. Let's
- 11:20Speaker 3: go to Judge Faith. I haven't been to Judge Faith. Well,
- 11:22Speaker 3: Judge Faith, Judge Faith Left. I believe she's not a
- 11:25Speaker 3: judge of paternity court, which we don't do here because
- 11:27Speaker 3: it's sad, but she used to have a regular courtroom show,
- 11:32Speaker 3: which is where we are today. And this could not
- 11:33Speaker 3: be further from paternity court. We're gonna go to Tony
- 11:37Speaker 3: Tony Dower, Tony dour.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Ridiculous.
- 11:43Speaker 3: It is suing Kirk and Susan Morrow for forty six
- 11:48Speaker 3: hundred dollars the cost of coins.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 3: So years ago Tony found coins. Uh, Tony fell in
- 11:57Speaker 3: love with coins. He became a collector of coins, stamps,
- 12:03Speaker 3: the sorts, get a very large collection of coins, and
- 12:08Speaker 3: over the years he'd go to Kirk, and Kirk would
- 12:13Speaker 3: sell some of them, you know, if he you know,
- 12:14Speaker 3: I don't need these or I gotta I gotta do
- 12:16Speaker 3: it or something like that, you know, maybe I can
- 12:18Speaker 3: sell him and Kirk would do that for him.
- 12:22Speaker 1: So, uh, he would go to Kirk, who is a
- 12:25Speaker 1: professional coin of.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Valuator, and he would.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Right, he would uh.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Sometimes he'd say, here's a check, here's the money, here's
- 12:39Speaker 3: the go ahead, you can cash itel good. Sometimes he
- 12:43Speaker 3: would give me a check for the amount that he
- 12:45Speaker 3: thinks it's going to sell for, but he would say,
- 12:48Speaker 3: wait until I give you the a.
- 12:49Speaker 1: OK.
- 12:50Speaker 3: If it's a coin that he's not super sure apout,
- 12:53Speaker 3: he would say, wait.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Here's the check.
- 12:55Speaker 3: But wait of course, and he would always listen and
- 13:00Speaker 3: follow what Kirk would tell him to do. But typically
- 13:04Speaker 3: he'd call him. He would say, hey, cash that check, baby,
- 13:06Speaker 3: catch that check. Problem, We're good to go. Because Kirk
- 13:08Speaker 3: was good at his job. Kirk's a good coin a
- 13:12Speaker 3: valu evaluator. Yeah. So in this situation, he was getting
- 13:17Speaker 3: ready to downsize in November, go to a smaller place,
- 13:21Speaker 3: so he he was ready to part with almost all
- 13:25Speaker 3: of his coins. So he goes to Kirk with five
- 13:28Speaker 3: what he says, he's spent new five to six thousand
- 13:33Speaker 3: dollars worth of coins. He understood though, that these are
- 13:36Speaker 3: now second hand coins and so he wasn't gonna get
- 13:40Speaker 3: five to six thousand dollars for But Kirk does give
- 13:43Speaker 3: him a check for forty six hundred dollars.
- 13:46Speaker 1: He says, don't cash it yet. Catch the check. Don't
- 13:49Speaker 1: cash a check yet.
- 13:50Speaker 3: A couple days later, Kirk calls him and says, hey, man,
- 13:54Speaker 3: there's no way I'm going to sell these coins for
- 13:56Speaker 3: that much. Checks void, and there's nothing I can.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Do about it.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Basically seems pretty strateful, and so uh, Tony's like, I
- 14:06Speaker 3: just want I want my coins. I want my coins,
- 14:09Speaker 3: I want my money or whatever. Like you told me
- 14:12Speaker 3: I was gonna get forty six hundred dollars. Now, I
- 14:14Speaker 3: just don't have anything. You never you never gave me
- 14:16Speaker 3: another check, You never give me an update. You just
- 14:19Speaker 3: have my tol give me h Kirk says, oh boy,
- 14:23Speaker 3: Tony's been banned from the coin club.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Oh no, I know.
- 14:28Speaker 3: There are people that believe that Kirk is a fraud.
- 14:33Speaker 3: That Kirk comes in here claiming to have coins that
- 14:37Speaker 3: are of higher value than they actually are in this situation.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Kirk brings me a box of coins and also says
- 14:45Speaker 3: that brings me sorry. Tony brings me a box of coins,
- 14:49Speaker 3: and he claims, here's some coins, and also in there
- 14:52Speaker 3: are is a certain amount of gold. It's like a
- 14:56Speaker 3: few ounces or whatever. And uh, that was what really peaked. Uh.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Kirk's interest was the goal.
- 15:04Speaker 4: The goal.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I don't want to know where the goal is. And uh.
- 15:08Speaker 3: When he goes to that the forty six dollars was
- 15:14Speaker 3: including what he thought was going to be gold goal
- 15:16Speaker 3: in the box, turns out no gold. Turns out no gold.
- 15:19Speaker 3: He says, I did sell some of the coins. I'm
- 15:22Speaker 3: a twenty two point fifteen. I have brought the unsold
- 15:25Speaker 3: coins to court.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Here they are. Faith asks if Tony.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Has a pair of everything he gave oh, oh oh
- 15:36Speaker 3: it has Uh has a list of everything that he
- 15:38Speaker 3: gave him so that he can get some sort of
- 15:39Speaker 3: itemized list, yeah of like what should he have.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Gotten for these coins?
- 15:45Speaker 3: And he says, I do not have an itemized list
- 15:48Speaker 3: of my coins that I gave too.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Okay, Kirk, and Judge Faith's ready to rule.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Judge Faith is gonna that's gonna be good enough, twenty
- 15:55Speaker 2: to fifteen plus the coins good enough.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Pretty straightforward, she says, since I don't know what you had,
- 16:01Speaker 3: I only know what they sold. They sold twenty two
- 16:03Speaker 3: fifteen worth of coins. He's gonna give you that money,
- 16:06Speaker 3: and he's gonna give you the unsold coins backs.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Lemon squeeze.
- 16:11Speaker 3: They do talk a little trash to each other in
- 16:14Speaker 3: the hallway there. Tony says that Kirk is Uh has
- 16:20Speaker 3: turned the coin world against him, and Kirk says he's
- 16:24Speaker 3: never gonna do business.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Wow, unbelievable.
- 16:27Speaker 3: And you hate to see that coin friendship thrown away
- 16:30Speaker 3: like that. But sometimes sometimes you had some Sometimes you
- 16:34Speaker 3: get tails in the situation. Yeah, and I think this
- 16:36Speaker 3: is tails. We're gonna be back next time with another one.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Until then, all right.
