  [SPEAKER_00]: My question though, is are the jackwares actually going to pick at 56 overall?

  [SPEAKER_00]: for the Jaguars to trade their first pick and to actually use it again, the first pick got 56 overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The most likely scenario, probably a trade down, but a trade into the first, in my opinion, still is not outside of the realm of possibility.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It seems like this is a year where teams are wanting to move down in that range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because it's just not a consensus objectively strong first round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a good amount of depth in this draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think a lot of teams or analysts analysts that are in touch with teams believe teams think this is a good first round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So maybe they could get back up into the first round if they want to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a trade into the 30s.

  [SPEAKER_00]: early day too into the 40s could happen as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you could certainly trade down several spots and still land a player that you potentially like a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna explore those different options here today just to kind of get a framework of what this stuff might look like who might be available in some of these scenarios.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So first scenario we're gonna talk about is trading back into the first round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There are a couple teams that potentially make sense

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the one that everybody points to and rightly so is this Seattle Seahawks with Pick 32, the final pick in the first round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That is a team that only has four picks in the draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So if they're like, hey, we need some more players.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We want to have a bigger draft class than four players, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they'd be willing to potentially listen to a trade offer.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The one I put together here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good bit to give up, but you're only doing this.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're not doing this to trade back into the first round.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're doing it to acquire a player that is available that you think is going to change your football team in a big way in the short and long term, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So there's a few guys that I think they might feel that way about at 32.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Will they not be there?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Don't know, this draft is so unpredictable with which players will come off of the board in which order.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you tried 56 obviously, gave up 124 as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And 164, it's a lot to give up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Moving up though, 24 spots.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a long way to go.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But in exchange, the seahawks are getting two more picks in this draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're trading one pick for three picks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And 56, 124 and 164, I think are all within a range that you could feel reasonably confident and your ability

  [SPEAKER_00]: to land good players with those picks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's where the meat of the 2026 NFL draft is in that range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If that wasn't enough and they really valued somebody, you could throw in a 2027 day three pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The reason the Jaguars do not have Devon Lloyd or Travis ETN is because they're playing the Compick formula.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're projecting to have

  [SPEAKER_00]: Compick in the fourth round for Devon Lloyd, a Compick in the fifth round for Travis ETF, and a Compick in the sixth round for Greg Newsome, in 2027.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you can get a little aggressive there if you want to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But again, it's not just for any player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's for you value this player at such a premium that you're willing to give up capital to go get this player, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I could see Christian Miller at a Georgia, the defensive tackle,

  [SPEAKER_00]: such a smart, tough football player, a leader, trains with Trayvon Walker, which is obviously a good thing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like 320 pounds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he plays the run with incredible discipline, strength, and he wins with leverage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got big strong hands, too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: underrated past rusher at Georgia.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It can be difficult for players to look like really good past rusher because of the way they operate.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think he's ever going to be like this splashy three-tech dominant past rusher, but he can't explode off the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I've seen that many times, he can explode off the ball with leverage, he has multiple moves you can put together to get into the backfield, he can also bull rush you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And his past rush win rate and true past sets is the best among this class of interior defense of Lyman.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At 17.4%, he was a hit and when I say best among this class, that's among the top 10 guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Peter Woods, who's another name, I think the Jaguar could be interested in trading up for.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Better than certainly Caden MacDonald, who I think really is more of just a run defender, knows tackle type.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Better than you insert top 10 prospect in this class at the interior defensive line spot, he's actually got better numbers as a pass rusher.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That would not be surprising at all if they're really into Kristen Miller and he falls to that spot or that range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Another team that could make sense is the 49ers at pick 27.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have obviously would be trading up into a similar range, but they have six picks in this draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So they might be interested in acquiring more picks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One thing about the 49ers picks though, I think.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're all in the top four to five rounds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's really nice for them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Six picks that early is good, but they could potentially want to have more bites at the apple in this one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Peter Woods just, even though he's coming off a down year, everything about his character that you hear out of Climpson and you hear from scouts is like really strong, hard worker, leader,

  [SPEAKER_00]: going into this season, I thought he was going to be a top five pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I could still see them being excited about that skill set.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then wild card, I would love to see them get Blake Miller.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Blake Miller is a stud in this offensive tackle class.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And to me, getting somebody who can come in and be a backup for you immediately and elevate the ceiling long-term, like, look, I know the Jaguar sign

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that gives Blake Miller a runway to potentially compete to start early.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he is so damn good because he's athletic, he's strong, he's got good tape, played right tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you have ants on Harrison and Blake Miller is your one-two punch at tackle long term and that's like a really

  [SPEAKER_00]: The only player the Jaguar is right now have on their offensive line that I can 100% say is a high ceiling player, is Anton Harrison.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And look, Colby and Lannon.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have him under contract for the next couple of years coming off injury, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can still, at his price tag, I think 17 million, you could still just play him at guard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You could still just have him as a six, like you don't have to lock yourself into him being your starting left tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It could be hands on him like I would like to see that honestly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The way I did it here, is 56, 164, 203, and a 2027 fifth.

  [SPEAKER_00]: To get into the mid 40s, and you could also just do 56 and 124.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You could just give up your fourth round pick this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I like the idea of giving up later around picks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: To move up here and to pick 45, I believe it was with the Ravens.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But at that range, there's all sorts of possibilities.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I've got a long list of players that I think the Jaguar could potentially be interested in trading up for at those spots.

  [SPEAKER_00]: at 45, uh, Lee Hunter, if all your top defensive tackles are off the board, I like Lee Hunter a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be a great run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he has a great personality.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can elevate that ecosystem by being nothing more than himself, uh, stout run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not as clean as Kristen Miller, but I think he's going to be a damn good, strong defensive tackle who has some actual past race juice as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It would be surprising to me if they go linebacker that early, but Jacob Rodriguez might just be that guy that they're willing to break a tendency for because he is elite in like every sense of the word.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Great run defender, great in coverage, punches the ball out like no one other, other than like Red Murdock, but and you have Red Murdock out of Buffalo.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Jacob Rodriguez, he's a playmaker, he's smart, he's instinctive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna get away from Texas in a second, but these guys, I mean, I'd be fired up to see any of them in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, I talk about having some high ceiling players on that offensive line, Chase Basantis is that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not the same athlete in my opinion as as a Chase Basantist, but tough as nails.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to upgrade that run game with either of those guys in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Malachi Lawrence, I don't think we'll still be on the board, but he could be potentially and ever know he is a eddressor that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't think the Jaguar is really probably are going to be interested in trading up for an adressor, just based on the fact that they have two starters for the next three plus years locked in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Oscar Delpe, tied in out of Georgia, unbelievable athlete, tough blocker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's another one that fits that DNA.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think that the most likely scenario is like, James Gladstone, like, how can I find a competitive advantage here?

  [SPEAKER_00]: but when I rather take Grace and Houghton at 60, we're after trade up for Peter Woods.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What the Jaguars could be looking for if you're really trying to fill Devin Lloyd's shoes and have that in a very similar role.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, if you're trying to elevate that offensive line, maybe Caleb Tiernan in this range, Jennings Dunker could still be available.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think killing Rutledge will probably be gone, the guard at a Georgia Tech, but he's a muller as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A couple edge rushers, Derek Moore, Kiraon Crawford, Moore is more of that prototypical bill.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a little bit bigger than Crawford.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can win with speed to power, he can bull rush you, but he can also get around the edge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kiraon Crawford a little bit more of like an upside swing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he has a little bit more explosiveness and quickness off the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He could also be a little bit more of a versatile player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he could be a past rush edge for you, but also potentially kind of play in a similar role to another former Auburn Tiger.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jail him a cloud, but also obviously you brought Dennis Gardeck back, I think you're on Crawford could drop and be a Sam for you as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, and to the first round, earlier in the second round, trading down, and obviously all those trade down candidates would probably also be available at 56 to some of the guys we talked about and the 40s could be available at 56.
