  Welcome back to Have Faith, Let It Begin. It's a Friday, and we are here to conclude our series.

  My name is Angel Santana, and the series we're concluding is called Becoming,

  the person God always knew I could be.

  You know, this week we've talked about growth. We've talked about identity.

  We've talked about opportunities. We've talked about lessons learned over nine years.

  And as I'm preparing today's episode, I found myself thinking about one simple
• 0:42
  truth, one reality. I'm not finished.
• 0:46
  God isn't finished with me. And if you're listening and joining with us today,

  he's probably not finished with you either.

  Today's episode is called Still Becoming.

  Well, you know, there was a time in my life when I thought growth had a finish line.

  I thought one day that I would finally arrive, finally have all the answers,

  finally have everything figured out, finally become the person I was supposed to be.

  But the older I got, the more I realized something. Growth never stops.
• 2:39
  Learning never stops. And to be very honest with you, I'm grateful for that,
• 2:45
  because it means God is still working.
• 2:48
  It means God is still has work to do within me.
• 2:53
  As we approach nine years of this podcast and we move forward,
• 2:58
  I can honestly tell you that I'm not the same person who started this journey. I've grown.

  I've changed. I've learned.
• 3:06
  I've been stretched. I've been challenged. I've been humbled.
• 3:12
  I'm still becoming. There's still lessons to learn. There's still moments and mountains to climb.

  There are still prayers and prayers to pray.
• 3:23
  There's still a lot of people, a lot of people to encourage each and every single morning.
• 3:30
  And I'm gonna continue to do that with each and every one of you.
• 3:33
  You know, there are still dreams that God has placed in my heart,
• 3:37
  and that's exciting because every new day is another opportunity for God to continue shaping us.

  If you had shown me in my life today, 20 years ago, 15 years ago,
• 3:50
  I probably wouldn't have believed you.
• 3:52
  As I've stated before, pastoral school, a daily podcast, thousands of episodes,
• 3:58
  opportunities to encourage people around the world.

  There's no way, but God saw it.
• 4:04
  And long before I did, that is what amazes me.
• 4:08
  God doesn't see just who we are. He sees who we're becoming.
• 4:12
  When I doubted myself, I saw the potential.
• 4:15
  When I doubted myself, God saw even more potential in me.
• 4:19
  When I saw obstacles, God saw opportunities. When I saw limitations, God saw possibilities.
• 4:26
  And he still does.
• 4:28
  One of my favorite verses is from Philippians 1, verses 6.
• 4:33
  Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it
• 4:40
  on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
• 4:44
  Think about that. God started the work. God continued the work.
• 4:49
  And God finishes the work. That's a promise. It means we don't have to be perfect.
• 4:55
  We simply have to stay available.
• 4:58
  Stay teachable, stay faithful, stay willing.

  Today, I want to challenge each and every one of you to stop measuring yourself
• 5:06
  against who you used to be.
• 5:08
  Instead, ask yourself, how is God growing within me right now?
• 5:14
  What chapter am I living right now?
• 5:16
  Because every chapter matters, even the difficult ones, especially the difficult ones.
• 5:22
  Those are often the chapters where God does his greatest work.
• 5:27
  Well, we have done so many years here at Have Faith, Let It Begin.
• 5:32
  And as we continue on and roll into the ninth season, nine years of faith,
• 5:37
  nine years of hope, nine years of encouragement, nine years of trusting God one day at a time.
• 5:45
  And while I'm incredibly grateful for those of you and grateful for what God has already done,
• 5:50
  I'm even more excited about what he still has planned for us because this story
• 5:55
  is an ending it's still being written if there's one thing I can tell you when
• 5:59
  I close out today's episode and hope oh there's the alarm right that's the alarm
• 6:04
  it's telling me I gotta go to work.

  If there's one thing I can take away from the series that we did is that you're
• 6:10
  not stuck you're not finished you're not you're not you're not identified or
• 6:16
  you're not defined by your past Let's go with that word.
• 6:18
  You're not limited by your mistakes.
• 6:21
  You're becoming. Every prayer, every lesson, every challenge,
• 6:25
  every victory, God is using all of it.
• 6:28
  And let's do that together. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for never giving up on us.

  Thank you for continuing to shape us, guide us, and grow us.
• 6:37
  Help us to trust your process, even when we don't understand it.
• 6:41
  Remind us that you are still working and that our best chapters may still be ahead of us.

  We pray this unto you. In Jesus' name that we pray. Amen. Well,
