- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:25Speaker 1: the Hawkerel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. I can officially
- 0:34Speaker 1: say that after two weeks of just being in and
- 0:38Speaker 1: out of being sick, I officially feel like I have
- 0:41Speaker 1: my spark back and my energy back and my motivation back.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It was definitely a very hard week the previous week.
- 0:50Speaker 2: And last week.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I think I just kind of rushed into it too much.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Like I can't really remember what I talked about in
- 0:56Speaker 1: the podcast episode last week, but in terms of like
- 0:59Speaker 1: me being sick, but I think I probably said something
- 1:01Speaker 1: along the lines of me like kind of, you know,
- 1:04Speaker 1: rushing back into it. You know, workouts have been kind
- 1:07Speaker 1: of difficult to get back into. And yeah, just all
- 1:10Speaker 1: in all, my mindset I still think wasn't in the
- 1:12Speaker 1: best place last week, and I was trying so hard
- 1:16Speaker 1: just to feel better, and my body was still telling
- 1:19Speaker 1: me to chill and not push it. And I think
- 1:22Speaker 1: that's very normal obviously to kind of come back from
- 1:26Speaker 1: the flu.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Or whatever I had.
- 1:29Speaker 1: But yeah, so this week, I think on Sunday was
- 1:33Speaker 1: like the first day where I'm like, Okay, the food
- 1:36Speaker 1: is tasting right. Like I feel like my appetite was
- 1:38Speaker 1: so off for such a long period of time that
- 1:40Speaker 1: my coffee wasn't tasting right. I wasn't craving anything, like
- 1:44Speaker 1: now my coffee is tasting amazing. I went to a
- 1:47Speaker 1: few cardio workouts this weekend, so I did two SPINCOA classes.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I haven't done spin co in like two weeks, so
- 1:52Speaker 1: I was a little concerned getting back into it, especially
- 1:54Speaker 1: with being sick, but it felt so good to sweat
- 1:58Speaker 1: it out and just have that good cardios. So I
- 2:01Speaker 1: feel like Sunday was like the day where I almost
- 2:03Speaker 1: wanted to cry because I was just so happy to
- 2:05Speaker 1: feel my energy back to normal, you know, just appetite,
- 2:09Speaker 1: everything was just all aligning and it just felt so good.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And then I did a little reset upstairs of just
- 2:17Speaker 1: cleaning our house. I think I've talked about it in
- 2:19Speaker 1: previous episodes, but usually for me, when I do a reset,
- 2:21Speaker 1: I do like different levels of my home, so I
- 2:24Speaker 1: don't do the entire house in one day, just because
- 2:26Speaker 1: if we did the entire house in one day, I
- 2:28Speaker 1: think it would probably take us like five hours, which
- 2:32Speaker 1: I personally think is way too much to do in
- 2:34Speaker 1: one day because obviously on Sundays there's other priorities like
- 2:37Speaker 1: grocery shopping.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You know, we like to usually make dinner in a.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Crock pot for like a meal, prep for the week
- 2:43Speaker 1: all that. So anyways, usually we can't do it all
- 2:45Speaker 1: on one day. So this Sunday we also just did
- 2:48Speaker 1: a whole reset upstairs. So all in all, it was
- 2:51Speaker 1: just like the perfect way to start the week. And
- 2:53Speaker 1: I'm just feeling like I got my spark back, Like
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'm just feeling so good going.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Into this week.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And you guys have been so sweet, like so many
- 3:03Speaker 1: nice messages, so many nice comments, Like people on my
- 3:06Speaker 1: TikTok have just been commenting, like on my morning routine
- 3:08Speaker 1: blogs and all that, because I kind of posted my
- 3:10Speaker 1: first morning routine video this Monday of me actually like
- 3:13Speaker 1: feeling one hundred percent and like giving it my all
- 3:15Speaker 1: and all that, and your comments were just so sweet,
- 3:18Speaker 1: like just saying like.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So happy you're back. We love to see your energy.
- 3:22Speaker 1: One girl, was like, you know, today, I woke up
- 3:25Speaker 1: at six am, and I wasn't feeling you know, one
- 3:27Speaker 1: hundred percent myself.
- 3:28Speaker 2: But then I thought to myself, like, if Kaylie can
- 3:30Speaker 2: do it, I can do it. Like you're my daily inspiration.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Like that right there almost put me in tears because
- 3:35Speaker 1: it just made me realize that, like people are watching
- 3:37Speaker 1: me as like their motivator or their inspiration to like
- 3:42Speaker 1: live the best life that they want to live and
- 3:44Speaker 1: like strive to just you know, focus on themselves and
- 3:47Speaker 1: better themselves and all that. And I don't know, it's
- 3:49Speaker 1: just like the most rewarding job ever. And seeing those
- 3:52Speaker 1: comments and just your messages just means so much to me.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And I just feel like we're all best friends and
- 3:57Speaker 1: even like your YouTube comments everything, like I read every
- 4:00Speaker 1: single comment and I try to reply to every single one.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I try and read every DM and I try to
- 4:05Speaker 1: respond back to every DM, but your message is always seen.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And just know that I'm always beyond grateful for your
- 4:12Speaker 1: sweet words and it keeps me going to be honest,
- 4:15Speaker 1: like you guys are my motivator. Like you guys push
- 4:18Speaker 1: me to keep going. And yeah, it's the most rewarding
- 4:21Speaker 1: thing ever. But anyways, we have a good episode this
- 4:23Speaker 1: week that I want to talk about. I want to
- 4:25Speaker 1: talk about the feel Good Spring Checklist. With us entering
- 4:29Speaker 1: the spring season. I just want to talk about some
- 4:31Speaker 1: things that I find make me feel really good when
- 4:34Speaker 1: I do these things, or just like little things that
- 4:38Speaker 1: I guess kind of happened throughout the spring season, so
- 4:41Speaker 1: I thought I would share it with you guys if
- 4:42Speaker 1: you guys are needing a feel good checklist, if you're
- 4:44Speaker 1: feeling low, or if you want to like motivate yourself
- 4:46Speaker 1: to get back into that mindset of just focusing on
- 4:49Speaker 1: yourself and doing things that you actually.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Enjoy that make you feel good.
- 4:52Speaker 1: These are little things you can do to just, yeah, overall,
- 4:55Speaker 1: make yourself feel better going into a new season. I
- 4:58Speaker 1: do also want to point o that next week there
- 5:01Speaker 1: will not be a new episode because I will be
- 5:03Speaker 1: in Mexico with Zach. I don't remember if I mentioned
- 5:06Speaker 1: it here on the podcast or not, but I talked
- 5:07Speaker 1: about it on my YouTube channel. But Zach and I
- 5:10Speaker 1: are going on a little birthday trip this Saturday, which
- 5:13Speaker 1: we're very excited about, and it's our first trip since
- 5:17Speaker 1: our honeymoon. So I don't know I'm just like very
- 5:20Speaker 1: much looking forward to, yeah, spending a week in the
- 5:22Speaker 1: sun with my husband, enjoying some downtime.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And I don't know, I think.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It's really important in a relationship or in a marriage
- 5:30Speaker 1: to do those like fun spontaneous trips together, whether it's
- 5:34Speaker 1: a weekend getaway or just a week away together. This
- 5:37Speaker 1: trip was booked very last minutely. It was not something
- 5:40Speaker 1: that we had really planned, but Zach was really just
- 5:43Speaker 1: craving a trip.
- 5:44Speaker 2: He was like, I really want to go away. I
- 5:45Speaker 2: really want to do something together.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Anyways, long story short, we ended up booking a last
- 5:49Speaker 1: minute trip because there was a good deal and we're like,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know what, we haven't gone on a trip in
- 5:52Speaker 1: a while. I think it'd be really fun to do that.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And I also just think, as I said, it's super
- 5:57Speaker 1: healthy in a relationship to do those little things because
- 6:00Speaker 1: you look forward to something that you guys can do together.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It allows you to focus on your relationship and just
- 6:05Speaker 1: like do fun things together. And I think we put
- 6:08Speaker 1: so much focus and time towards ourselves and like focusing
- 6:11Speaker 1: on ourself, bettering ourself all that, but we don't really
- 6:14Speaker 1: focus about our relationship as well, which is just as
- 6:18Speaker 1: important to focus on and you know, work on. So
- 6:21Speaker 1: if you're needing a trip with your man, I think
- 6:23Speaker 1: this is your sign to book a little weekend getaway
- 6:26Speaker 1: or a trip because it's always something to look forward
- 6:29Speaker 1: to and I think it's going to be super fun
- 6:32Speaker 1: to do together. So I'm very excited to celebrate Zach's
- 6:34Speaker 1: birthday in Mexico, and I think it's going to be
- 6:37Speaker 1: a really fun trip. So let's get into today's episode
- 6:40Speaker 1: of the Feel Good Spring Checklist. The first thing on
- 6:44Speaker 1: our checklist is a ten minute daily spring reset. What
- 6:49Speaker 1: I mean by this is that in the morning, take
- 6:52Speaker 1: ten minutes to yourself to do something that will make
- 6:54Speaker 1: you feel better going into your day. So for me personally,
- 6:57Speaker 1: one thing that I love to do is I love
- 6:59Speaker 1: to just make sure my house is completely clean. So
- 7:02Speaker 1: for me personally, I like to work in a clean space.
- 7:05Speaker 1: So because I work from home, I don't want any
- 7:08Speaker 1: clutter in my home. So I spend ten minutes every
- 7:11Speaker 1: single morning just kind of putting away any like things
- 7:14Speaker 1: that are cluttered on my dining room table, put it
- 7:16Speaker 1: in the right spots my home. Usually I have dishes
- 7:20Speaker 1: out on the counter because Zach usually washes the dishes
- 7:22Speaker 1: at night. I don't really like to and dry them
- 7:26Speaker 1: at night, Like sometimes I'll just let them dry overnight
- 7:28Speaker 1: and I'll just do it in the morning. And because
- 7:30Speaker 1: I have the time to do so, I really like
- 7:32Speaker 1: to do that in the morning. So I usually put
- 7:34Speaker 1: all the clean dishes away in the cabinets in the kitchen,
- 7:39Speaker 1: and then usually I empty out the dishwasher as well.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So that's kind of like my ten minute raset that
- 7:44Speaker 1: I'll do every single morning of just making sure.
- 7:47Speaker 2: The house is all tidy. And again, ten minutes, that's it.
- 7:51Speaker 2: That's all you need.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You just need ten minutes to just do a little
- 7:53Speaker 1: tidy up, a little cleanup, and I feel like it
- 7:55Speaker 1: just puts your head in the right mindset for the
- 7:58Speaker 1: rest of the day, knowing that everything's clean and everything organized.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So if you're the kind of person that doesn't work
- 8:02Speaker 1: from home and you work in an office, or you're
- 8:04Speaker 1: a nurse, or whatever the case may be, think about
- 8:07Speaker 1: coming home after a shift and then seeing everything unorganized
- 8:11Speaker 1: and just a mess. I think that would be really
- 8:13Speaker 1: shitty feeling to come back from a busy work day
- 8:16Speaker 1: and just seeing everything not in the places that it
- 8:19Speaker 1: should be, so, you know, waking up a little bit
- 8:22Speaker 1: earlier and spending the time just to like reset your
- 8:25Speaker 1: kitchen and reset your home. I think you're going to
- 8:26Speaker 1: come back from your shift and feel so much better
- 8:29Speaker 1: knowing that everything's clean, everything organized. You don't have to
- 8:31Speaker 1: do anything. You can just start making dinner and your
- 8:34Speaker 1: night routine and all that. So we're calling it the
- 8:37Speaker 1: ten minute daily Spring reset of just little things you
- 8:40Speaker 1: can do in the morning to make yourself feel better
- 8:42Speaker 1: throughout the day. Another thing that makes me feel good
- 8:45Speaker 1: is creating a playlist. So I actually just got Spotify recently.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I don't know why it took me so long. I've
- 8:51Speaker 1: been an Apple Music's girl for the longest time, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: don't get me wrong, it's fine, But I don't know.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I just always wanted to be on Spotify and create
- 9:00Speaker 1: playlists and all that.
- 9:01Speaker 2: So I'm officially a Spotify girl. I recently joined.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Zach's account, so now I have full access to making
- 9:08Speaker 1: any playlist I want. So if you guys are into that,
- 9:10Speaker 1: I could share some playlists that I've created, but right
- 9:12Speaker 1: now I'm working on my Spring playlist. There's a lot
- 9:15Speaker 1: of Tate McCrae just because she's my recent obsession and
- 9:19Speaker 1: her new album is literally amazing. I also love the
- 9:23Speaker 1: new album that came out with Drake and Party next
- 9:27Speaker 1: Door so good. There's some really good songs. I feel
- 9:30Speaker 1: like whenever there's music trending on TikTok, I immediately just
- 9:33Speaker 1: become obsessed with the music because I think I constantly
- 9:36Speaker 1: hear it that it just I don't know, becomes my
- 9:39Speaker 1: new favorite song. So I feel like a lot of
- 9:41Speaker 1: my song choices are because of social media. But whenever
- 9:45Speaker 1: a new album comes out, I usually just like add
- 9:48Speaker 1: it to a playlist. But I also have like old
- 9:50Speaker 1: songs that I'm obsessed with, Like I'm a huge Justin
- 9:53Speaker 1: Bieber lover. I don't know if you guys know that
- 9:54Speaker 1: about me, Like I wanted to marry the kid. I
- 9:57Speaker 1: know every single album. If he drops an air as tour,
- 10:00Speaker 1: I will be there. I will pay every single penny
- 10:03Speaker 1: of like being front row, Like I don't care how
- 10:05Speaker 1: much I will be there, I will be in the front.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I will be holding his hand like he is the
- 10:10Speaker 1: second love of my life, which Zucher and he knows.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So I think every girl wanted to marry Justin Bieber
- 10:15Speaker 1: at one point in their life. But anyways, I have
- 10:18Speaker 1: a playlist of like all JB albums in one Like recently,
- 10:21Speaker 1: I just did a spin co class of the JB
- 10:24Speaker 1: Journals album, which I feel like is a very niche
- 10:27Speaker 1: album and a lot of people don't know a lot
- 10:30Speaker 1: of songs, but I know so many songs from that
- 10:32Speaker 1: album and it just feels a good throwback, you know
- 10:34Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Like I was sixteen or.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Fifteen, I can't remember. Oh no, I was younger, probably
- 10:41Speaker 1: thirteen or fourteen when I first discovered him, but like
- 10:44Speaker 1: the obsession was like till I was twenty. I was
- 10:47Speaker 1: just like constantly listening to every single song.
- 10:50Speaker 2: That he would release.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I usually have a lot of Bieber in my playlist
- 10:53Speaker 1: as well, just because he's my favorite and he needs
- 10:55Speaker 1: to release new music because yeah, I'm missing him, and
- 10:59Speaker 1: I think think he just needs to release more songs.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Another feel good thing you can do for your Spring
- 11:04Speaker 1: checklist is something for your skin each day, So whether
- 11:08Speaker 1: it's a face mask and imask, red light therapy, or
- 11:11Speaker 1: ice rolling, you know, doing some skincare, whatever the case
- 11:15Speaker 1: may be.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I mean, doing skincare every day.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Is probably the top priority, but doing those little things
- 11:21Speaker 1: each day. I feel like we'll make your skin thrive.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I feel like lately I've been doing a lot of eyemask,
- 11:26Speaker 1: which has been really helpful for my under eyes. I
- 11:28Speaker 1: also do my red light therapy usually twice a week,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and then I usually ice roll my face almost every
- 11:34Speaker 1: single day. I would probably say like five times a week.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Usually on the weekends, I kind of forget to do it.
- 11:39Speaker 1: So but anyways, those are little things that I think
- 11:42Speaker 1: are something that we can think about for the spring season.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Is just choosing one of those things each day. It's okay,
- 11:48Speaker 1: maybe tonight I'm going to do a face mask because
- 11:50Speaker 1: I have more of a chill day, or you know what,
- 11:52Speaker 1: wake up in the morning. Oh I have time to
- 11:54Speaker 1: do you know, imask while habit stacking. So I talked
- 11:57Speaker 1: about that in a few episodes ago about habit stacking.
- 12:00Speaker 1: But trying to do multiple things at once is a
- 12:03Speaker 1: game changer. So, you know, putting on imass and doing
- 12:06Speaker 1: other things around the house or other things that you
- 12:08Speaker 1: need to do to prep for your work day. If
- 12:09Speaker 1: you're the kind of person that likes to meal prep
- 12:11Speaker 1: or bring lunch when you're going to the office, put
- 12:13Speaker 1: on some imass. You know, go to the kitchen, make
- 12:16Speaker 1: your lunch, put everything in your lunch box, and right there, boom.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's ten minutes that you were able to put an
- 12:21Speaker 1: eyemask on and pack your lunch for the day. Habit
- 12:24Speaker 1: stacking has truly changed my life, and I think this
- 12:26Speaker 1: is something that would change your life as well.
- 12:28Speaker 2: By doing multiple things.
- 12:29Speaker 1: At once, especially if you are a busy person and
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know feel like you don't have enough time in
- 12:34Speaker 1: the morning to do things, try and do multiple things
- 12:37Speaker 1: at once.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It will truly change your life.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Another feel good thing for your Spring checklist is doing
- 12:42Speaker 1: a workout class with a friend or friends. It's always
- 12:45Speaker 1: better when you're doing it with a friend, let's be honest.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I've definitely made a lot of workout friends in Pilates
- 12:52Speaker 1: because I go to the same pilate studio. Everyone kind
- 12:55Speaker 1: of goes at the same time. It's like the same
- 12:57Speaker 1: girls for the seven am class, And it's been really
- 12:59Speaker 1: fun because since becoming a member, I feel like I've
- 13:02Speaker 1: definitely met a lot of new girls, and I feel
- 13:04Speaker 1: like we all connect very well because you know, we're
- 13:06Speaker 1: all kind of into very similar interests. So it's been
- 13:09Speaker 1: really nice to meet new people as well, but also
- 13:12Speaker 1: being able to bring a friend and like introduce them
- 13:14Speaker 1: to something that you love, they might also fall in
- 13:16Speaker 1: love with it, and then something that you guys can
- 13:18Speaker 1: do together. So my sister and I we've actually been
- 13:21Speaker 1: wanting to try out hot pilates, which I think I
- 13:24Speaker 1: told you guys that there's.
- 13:25Speaker 2: A studio close.
- 13:26Speaker 1: By that is doing a fun deal where it's like
- 13:29Speaker 1: fifteen classes for fifteen dollars, which is unheard of, and
- 13:33Speaker 1: so that's something that me and my sister have been
- 13:35Speaker 1: wanting to do together, just because Madison hasn't been loving
- 13:38Speaker 1: Reformer plates like she likes it, it's just I don't know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: she finds it very difficult and honestly, she's just like
- 13:42Speaker 1: it's quite expensive and I'm like, so fair, like definitely
- 13:45Speaker 1: not something that like she doesn't feel like she can
- 13:47Speaker 1: keep up with. She prefers, you know, going to spinning.
- 13:50Speaker 1: But I'm like, you know what, I'd love to do
- 13:51Speaker 1: this with you. We should try and do a class
- 13:53Speaker 1: together and see if this can be our thing that
- 13:55Speaker 1: we could do together. So try and find things that
- 13:58Speaker 1: you and your friends can do, any kind of movement
- 14:00Speaker 1: that you guys would both enjoy again. I find it's
- 14:03Speaker 1: so much more fun when you're doing a workout with
- 14:05Speaker 1: friends versus doing it alone. I also find it's a
- 14:07Speaker 1: good way to motivate yourself to go to a workout
- 14:09Speaker 1: class because if your.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Friends are going, you're gonna want to go.
- 14:13Speaker 1: So you can also use that as an excuse or
- 14:16Speaker 1: a way to motivate yourself to get your butt to
- 14:18Speaker 1: a workout class. Another feel good thing for your Spring
- 14:21Speaker 1: checklist is treating yourself to a little sweet tree. Lately,
- 14:25Speaker 1: my cravings have been to walk to a bakery or
- 14:28Speaker 1: a coffee shop and pick up my favorite pastry. Currently,
- 14:31Speaker 1: my favorite pastries would be a almond croissant or a blueberry scone.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I don't know why lately, I've just been craving those
- 14:39Speaker 1: things whenever I go to a coffee shop. But you know,
- 14:41Speaker 1: the whole point of a sweet tree is to do
- 14:43Speaker 1: it once in a while, Like it's important to reward
- 14:45Speaker 1: ourself and you know, listen to our cravings and if
- 14:48Speaker 1: you're craving a freaking pastry, get a freaking pastry. But
- 14:51Speaker 1: I love always getting a coffee at a coffee shop
- 14:53Speaker 1: on the weekend, so sometimes I'll treat myself to a
- 14:55Speaker 1: little sweet treet and I'll get one of those two
- 14:57Speaker 1: things and then this is very off top, but it
- 15:00Speaker 1: just made me think of it because of talking about
- 15:02Speaker 1: sweet treats. But lately everyone's been talking about the high
- 15:07Speaker 1: protein bagels, and maybe I'm like very much late to
- 15:11Speaker 1: the game for this, but I've been seeing people talk
- 15:13Speaker 1: about this like three to four ingredient bagels that you
- 15:15Speaker 1: can make from home, and it's high protein. It's like
- 15:18Speaker 1: very simple to make. And someone that I follow, Mikayla,
- 15:23Speaker 1: she just made these blueberry bagels and I was like, WHOA,
- 15:28Speaker 1: that looks amazing.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I need to try that.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I've been influenced, So I didn't see a point in
- 15:33Speaker 1: obviously picking up the ingredients to make it this week
- 15:35Speaker 1: because when she posted it, I think it was on Monday,
- 15:37Speaker 1: and I already did my grocery shopping on Sunday. So
- 15:41Speaker 1: when I get back from Mexico, you bet your ass,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I will be going to the grocery store picking up
- 15:45Speaker 1: all the ingredients to make those blueberry bagels. And I'm
- 15:48Speaker 1: gonna tempt it at home because I used to love
- 15:52Speaker 1: eating blueberry or like cinnamon raisin bagels. But I kind
- 15:55Speaker 1: of you know, avoided eating it just because it's obviously
- 15:58Speaker 1: not the best ingreened from the ones.
- 16:01Speaker 2: That you buy at the store.
- 16:02Speaker 1: So you know, now I eat sour dough bread and
- 16:04Speaker 1: I kind of, you know, do like a blueberry toast
- 16:06Speaker 1: or whatever. But now that this whole like bagel recipe
- 16:10Speaker 1: thing is a huge, massive thing, right now, I'm like,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I need to try this and I need to see
- 16:13Speaker 1: if it's worth the height. So stay tuned for that
- 16:15Speaker 1: because I probably will be filming my experience on that.
- 16:18Speaker 1: But another thing that I think is another feel good
- 16:21Speaker 1: thing to do is baking or trying new recipes. I'm
- 16:24Speaker 1: not a good baker, I will be very honest about that.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I used to bake all the time, to be honest,
- 16:29Speaker 1: when I first started my health and wellness journey, because
- 16:32Speaker 1: I was very much into just eating almost like too clean,
- 16:36Speaker 1: like where I didn't want to eat any processed foods.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And of course I always try and cut out as
- 16:40Speaker 1: much processed foods as I can because that's just something
- 16:42Speaker 1: I strive to do. And I'm very much like an
- 16:44Speaker 1: ingredient girl. So if you see a girl at the
- 16:46Speaker 1: grocery store reading the labels on every single food container,
- 16:50Speaker 1: that she buys. That's me, like, I'm very picky about
- 16:53Speaker 1: what added oils are in it.
- 16:54Speaker 2: All that. But anyways, besides the point, the point is
- 16:57Speaker 2: that I used to.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Be very much into just clean eating and clean baking
- 17:01Speaker 1: and I just completely stopped that. And I don't know why,
- 17:03Speaker 1: but now I'm thinking I need to get back into it.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I don't know, I just have been having this craving
- 17:08Speaker 1: of making things again. And there was this one recipe
- 17:11Speaker 1: that I used to make all the freaking time. It
- 17:14Speaker 1: was almond butter blondies, very clean ingredients, taste like heaven.
- 17:19Speaker 2: It literally tasted like a melted chocolate chip cookie like.
- 17:22Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I don't know why I stopped making it, to be honest,
- 17:25Speaker 1: but Zach and I used to be obsessed with it.
- 17:27Speaker 1: So that's something else I want to make again, is
- 17:29Speaker 1: these almond butter blondies. I will share the recipe when
- 17:31Speaker 1: I find it, because I don't know where it is.
- 17:34Speaker 1: It's somewhere in my phone. I'm hoping it's in my notes,
- 17:36Speaker 1: but I don't know where I found this recipe. But
- 17:39Speaker 1: it was me and Zach's like favorite thing ever. We
- 17:42Speaker 1: used to make it like all the time, and then
- 17:43Speaker 1: I think we maybe got stick and tired of it
- 17:45Speaker 1: and stopped making it. But anyways, I want to get
- 17:47Speaker 1: back into making that because I think that would also
- 17:49Speaker 1: be really good if I added an almond butter blondie
- 17:53Speaker 1: into my ninja creamy with like chocolate ice cream. Oh
- 17:55Speaker 1: my god, it sounds like an ice cream blizzard, Like,
- 17:58Speaker 1: oh my god, I can always try that. I'm getting
- 18:00Speaker 1: hungry after talking about this. Another thing is trying new recipes.
- 18:04Speaker 1: As I said, so, I love when I try a
- 18:06Speaker 1: new genner recipe that I found off Pinterest or you know, somewhere,
- 18:09Speaker 1: or off TikTok or Instagram, and when it tastes good,
- 18:12Speaker 1: it's the best feeling, like finding a new recipe that
- 18:15Speaker 1: you can add into like your dinner rotations for the
- 18:17Speaker 1: week or your little weekend sweet treat. Right now, I've
- 18:20Speaker 1: been really wanting to try that viral TikTok recipe which
- 18:23Speaker 1: is ground beef avocado, cottage cheese, sweet potatoes with hot
- 18:27Speaker 1: honey on top. Sounds interesting. I don't know how I
- 18:32Speaker 1: feel about hot honey with cottage cheese in ground beef.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:36Speaker 1: It sounds like a very interesting mix, but I will
- 18:39Speaker 1: try it because if I see the people do it,
- 18:42Speaker 1: I will definitely be.
- 18:43Speaker 2: A victim to trying it. So that's on my list
- 18:44Speaker 2: to make when I get home for my trip as well.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I usually use ricotta, though not cottage cheese, just because
- 18:50Speaker 1: I prefer the taste of ricotta war But I don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: know if that is the right move for that recipe.
- 18:55Speaker 1: We shall see, But I usually buy ricotta because it's
- 18:58Speaker 1: also a form of cottage cheese. I just find ricotta
- 19:01Speaker 1: has a bit more of a I don't want to say,
- 19:03Speaker 1: a sweeter taste, but it just has a better taste
- 19:05Speaker 1: in my opinion, and it still has the exact same
- 19:07Speaker 1: amount of protein and fats. Like I will literally eat
- 19:11Speaker 1: a spoonful of ricotta like in the afternoon as my
- 19:13Speaker 1: afternoon's snack because I just love ricotta that much. I
- 19:16Speaker 1: just add a bit of salt and I just like
- 19:18Speaker 1: spoonful ricotta. So I don't know if that's weird or not,
- 19:21Speaker 1: but I like to have cottage cheese as a snack
- 19:23Speaker 1: and I'll just be in my kitchen eating my ricotta
- 19:26Speaker 1: and that's like my protein source of a snack for
- 19:30Speaker 1: my afternoon. It's it's kind of weird, but I don't know,
- 19:32Speaker 1: I love it. Another feel good thing for your Spring
- 19:35Speaker 1: checklist is taking that everything shower. I find taking in
- 19:39Speaker 1: everything shower makes me feel like the cleanest person alive,
- 19:43Speaker 1: Like I feel like when I'm doing a.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Hair mask, when I shave everything.
- 19:46Speaker 1: When I'm using my shower oil and then I do
- 19:48Speaker 1: my post body oil after, I feel like I feel
- 19:51Speaker 1: the most feminine and I feel like it literally makes
- 19:54Speaker 1: me feel like I just did a massive glow up, like.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone else feels that way, but
- 19:58Speaker 1: when I actually put the medication in an everything shower,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I do feel like a new human being. I will
- 20:04Speaker 1: say it is a lot of work. It gets tiring
- 20:06Speaker 1: sometimes when you're in the shower for like a long
- 20:09Speaker 1: period of time doing all those things, but the feeling
- 20:12Speaker 1: after the fact does feel good, and I do think
- 20:15Speaker 1: it's one of the best feelings in the world. Another
- 20:18Speaker 1: thing I love is putting on a matching set, whether
- 20:20Speaker 1: it's a PG set, a workout set, a sweat set,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I immediately feel ten times more put together when I
- 20:26Speaker 1: have a matching set on. I don't know if that's
- 20:28Speaker 1: like scientifically proven, but I just feel like a whole
- 20:31Speaker 1: new human being when I have a matching set on.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I'm sure most of you know that I basically live
- 20:35Speaker 1: in workout sets. Like that's what I wear every single morning.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Usually I don't really take it off, like later in
- 20:41Speaker 1: the afternoon. I'll probably switch into you know, another matching
- 20:45Speaker 1: set most likely, or if I'm leaving the house, I'll
- 20:47Speaker 1: wear jeans and a cute outfit.
- 20:49Speaker 2: But I don't really put effort in my.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Day to day outfits just because I feel the most
- 20:55Speaker 1: competent in a workout set or a matching set, Whereas
- 20:58Speaker 1: like when I'm going out for like an nice dinner
- 21:00Speaker 1: or something's going on on the weekend, I put a
- 21:02Speaker 1: lot more effort in my fashion and my outfits. But
- 21:06Speaker 1: I think it's just because I don't leave the house.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I don't see the point in putting the effort. I'd
- 21:09Speaker 1: rather just like wear matching sets and look put together
- 21:12Speaker 1: at my home than you know, putting on jeans or
- 21:15Speaker 1: anything like that. So matching sets are the key to
- 21:17Speaker 1: feeling the most put together, and yeah, you just feel
- 21:20Speaker 1: a bit more confident.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Another thing that.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Makes me feel good is binge watching my favorite TV show.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I Am not gonna lie. We started Friends again, Zach
- 21:30Speaker 1: and I. If you guys know or don't know, I've
- 21:33Speaker 1: watched the entire season from season one to season ten
- 21:37Speaker 1: of Friends, probably seven times. Like I've memorized what they're
- 21:41Speaker 1: going to say in the show. It's pretty bad, to
- 21:44Speaker 1: be honest, it's just an obsession. I don't know why
- 21:47Speaker 1: we decided to start it when we were sick. I
- 21:49Speaker 1: think it's just because we wanted some background noise, and
- 21:51Speaker 1: then now we can't stop. Like now we're like we're
- 21:53Speaker 1: making dinner, We're like, let's turn Friends on. Or you know,
- 21:56Speaker 1: if we're upstairs and we're getting work done, we're like, okay,
- 21:58Speaker 1: let's just turn on Friends. It's just a good show
- 22:01Speaker 1: to put on in the background. So I would say
- 22:03Speaker 1: Friends is definitely my comfort show. Like if I'm traveling
- 22:07Speaker 1: and I just need to put something on, I'm gonna
- 22:08Speaker 1: put on Friends, just because it's one of my favorite
- 22:10Speaker 1: TV shows. Other shows that I would say or my
- 22:14Speaker 1: comfort shows would be Vampire Diaries, Gray's Anatomy, and Wintrey Hill.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Those are other shows that I've watched on and off.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Right now, I've been actually wanting to rewatch Pretty Little Liars.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I have not watched that show in a very long time.
- 22:28Speaker 1: But I actually don't know what platform is on. If
- 22:30Speaker 1: you know what platform it's on, let me know. Is
- 22:32Speaker 1: it on.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Crave or Hulu? I don't know, but.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I've been really wanting to watch that again, so that's
- 22:38Speaker 1: on my list. But I love rewatching comfort shows like
- 22:41Speaker 1: that is one of the best feelings is just rewatching it.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Sometimes watching a new show is good too, when it's
- 22:47Speaker 1: a really good new show, like that show that I
- 22:49Speaker 1: talked about a few weeks ago, Paradise. Wow, that's on
- 22:53Speaker 1: Disney or Hulu if you guys want to watch it,
- 22:55Speaker 1: But it is amazing. That was probably the first show
- 22:58Speaker 1: that I've watched in a very long time where or
- 23:00Speaker 1: I couldn't keep my eyes off the TV, like I'm like, whoa,
- 23:03Speaker 1: this is extremely interesting. I was hooked, it was engaging,
- 23:07Speaker 1: like it was just so good. So I feel like
- 23:09Speaker 1: there's not a lot of TV shows like that nowadays.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I don't know if anyone else.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Can agree to that, but I feel like it's always
- 23:14Speaker 1: a hit and miss. But when you know there's a
- 23:16Speaker 1: good TV show and it's your comfort show and you
- 23:18Speaker 1: just keep rewatching it, I don't know. I think that's
- 23:21Speaker 1: like one of the best feelings. Another thing for your
- 23:23Speaker 1: feel good checklists for the spring season is decorating your
- 23:26Speaker 1: home for the spring season. So right now, I would
- 23:30Speaker 1: say spring very much focuses on like pastel colors. When
- 23:34Speaker 1: I think of spring, I think of baby pink. I
- 23:36Speaker 1: think a baby blue, purple, pale yellow like that to
- 23:40Speaker 1: me screams spring. So I love to just add hints
- 23:44Speaker 1: in my home, Like right now, I still have a
- 23:46Speaker 1: lot of pink from Valentine's Day, so I'm like, you know,
- 23:49Speaker 1: it still kind of goes with the theme it's spring,
- 23:51Speaker 1: but I really want to add some like lighter colors
- 23:53Speaker 1: in the kitchen, so like changing out the dish towels,
- 23:56Speaker 1: maybe adding some you know, towels in the bathroom that
- 24:01Speaker 1: are a bit more brighter and lighter and just feeling
- 24:03Speaker 1: more spring. I've added a lot of tulips in the house,
- 24:06Speaker 1: which is another thing that I wanted to talk about,
- 24:08Speaker 1: is adding fresh tulips to your home during the spring season,
- 24:12Speaker 1: or just fresh flowers in general, is literally just screams
- 24:15Speaker 1: spring to me. Like it feels so comforting in a
- 24:18Speaker 1: home to have your flowers out. But tulips specifically has
- 24:22Speaker 1: been something that I've been buying consistently in the house,
- 24:24Speaker 1: and it just makes the home feel like spring and it.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Just brightens the space up so much.
- 24:29Speaker 1: But yeah, so adding light color is very minimal things
- 24:32Speaker 1: like you know, colorful candles. You can also change your
- 24:36Speaker 1: bed sheets if you want, so if you want to
- 24:38Speaker 1: do like a light pink bed sheet or a baby
- 24:40Speaker 1: blue or a pale yellow. I've been wanting to change
- 24:42Speaker 1: my bedding because I've had the same bedding since December.
- 24:45Speaker 1: But yeah, maybe I'll do that when I get home,
- 24:47Speaker 1: but right now, it's going to stick to my stripes.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I do love the stripes.
- 24:50Speaker 1: It's very cute, sea and different than just like a
- 24:54Speaker 1: plain white duvet. But I've been loving how everyone's like
- 24:57Speaker 1: branching out from the basic white and everyone's like trying
- 25:00Speaker 1: fun colors out for like bedding or paint colors. Like
- 25:04Speaker 1: right now, Zach and I are trying to figure out
- 25:06Speaker 1: the pink color that we're going to do in my office,
- 25:09Speaker 1: and I've been really wanting to do like a pastel
- 25:12Speaker 1: salmon pink for the podcast studio Slash Office, and some
- 25:17Speaker 1: of you are like I had a few people message
- 25:19Speaker 1: me saying like you're gonna get sick and tired of
- 25:21Speaker 1: that real fast, or you should probably stick to more
- 25:23Speaker 1: of a neutral palate. But I'm like the point of
- 25:25Speaker 1: it is is that I want to do something out
- 25:28Speaker 1: of the box that's like not very basic of me.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Like I know, I have a very.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Minimalistic home and I love it that way, like I
- 25:34Speaker 1: do love how it looks, but I do want to
- 25:37Speaker 1: go out of the box for this room specifically because
- 25:39Speaker 1: I do think it would be fun. And yeah, it's
- 25:43Speaker 1: my office, it's a studio. It's just like a different
- 25:44Speaker 1: spot in the home. So I feel like it could
- 25:46Speaker 1: be fun just to do like a pop of color
- 25:48Speaker 1: and make it just feel a.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Bit more fun.
- 25:50Speaker 1: So yeah, I am trying to find the perfect salmon color.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I did like the one that most of you guys liked.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I did like a poll on Instagram on my Instagram stories.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I'm figuring out what pink color I was going to pick,
- 26:01Speaker 1: and most of you guys picked the same one that
- 26:03Speaker 1: I picked. But there is another one that I recently
- 26:06Speaker 1: came across that I want to compare it with, and
- 26:09Speaker 1: then that will be the determining factor of what one
- 26:12Speaker 1: we go with. So that could also be a thing
- 26:13Speaker 1: if you want to really change it up in your home,
- 26:16Speaker 1: adding some color is always fun. Another feel good feeling
- 26:19Speaker 1: is actually reaching ten k steps a day, like actually
- 26:22Speaker 1: getting outside going for a walk, knowing that you reached
- 26:25Speaker 1: the amount of steps that you want to reach for
- 26:27Speaker 1: the day. That feeling is the best feeling. And I
- 26:29Speaker 1: think now that the weather's actually been nicer, it's been
- 26:32Speaker 1: very like motivating to get.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Outside, go for a walk.
- 26:37Speaker 1: You know. Having my treadmill here is also really nice
- 26:39Speaker 1: because again I'm able to have it stack by walking
- 26:41Speaker 1: on the treadmill getting worked done at the same time.
- 26:43Speaker 1: It's been a game changer. But it just has been
- 26:46Speaker 1: feeling really good to yeah, have the warm weather out
- 26:49Speaker 1: right now we actually have grass. Wow, cannot believe it.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I never thought I would see grass again. It's been
- 26:57Speaker 1: so nice to see the snow melting and see some grass.
- 27:00Speaker 1: It's like, oh, the best feeling of just knowing that
- 27:02Speaker 1: spring is here and that we're so close to summer.
- 27:05Speaker 1: And I think we're like ninety two days away from summer,
- 27:08Speaker 1: which is so crazy. So I think the warm weather
- 27:10Speaker 1: and just like the countdown of summer always just motivates
- 27:13Speaker 1: me and pushes me to Yeah, just like do the
- 27:17Speaker 1: things that make me feel good, And yeah, the warm
- 27:20Speaker 1: weather is definitely very helpful, especially for people who love
- 27:23Speaker 1: to walk outside like me. If it's not warm out,
- 27:27Speaker 1: I don't want to be outside. It's not enjoyable. I
- 27:29Speaker 1: don't like being cold. So when it's warm out and
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm actually able to get outside, move my body, get
- 27:33Speaker 1: some fresh air, it is. Yeah, one of the best feelings.
- 27:36Speaker 1: The last feel good thing when it comes to the
- 27:39Speaker 1: spring season is actually finding a hobby that you enjoy.
- 27:42Speaker 1: So right now, Zach and I are actually in the
- 27:44Speaker 1: process of finding a hobby that we could do together,
- 27:47Speaker 1: and we've been trying to figure out something that we
- 27:49Speaker 1: could do Saturday mornings that we can do every single
- 27:52Speaker 1: morning for the spring and summer season. I mentioned to
- 27:55Speaker 1: him pickleball or tennis, like I would actually go get
- 27:58Speaker 1: tennis lessons and you know, do that in the morning
- 28:01Speaker 1: with him. He wants to go golfing, which is such
- 28:04Speaker 1: a very typical guy response to say, which I'm not
- 28:08Speaker 1: opposed to doing golfing. I just don't know if I
- 28:10Speaker 1: want that to be our thing in the morning.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I just think I envisioned something different and I think
- 28:16Speaker 1: golf is something that I've done a few times where
- 28:19Speaker 1: it's like I feel like and not saying I'm good.
- 28:21Speaker 1: I'm definitely not good, but I just feel like it's
- 28:23Speaker 1: not something different. It's something that I feel like I've
- 28:25Speaker 1: done a few times, but maybe it's different when you're
- 28:28Speaker 1: actually consistent with it and doing it every single weekend.
- 28:31Speaker 1: But anyways, let me know if you have any fun
- 28:33Speaker 1: hobbies that you do with your partner that you would
- 28:35Speaker 1: love to recommend to Zach and I because we're trying
- 28:37Speaker 1: to find something that we can do in the morning,
- 28:40Speaker 1: preferably something that's a bit more active, because we are
- 28:43Speaker 1: both very active people, and I think that'd be something
- 28:45Speaker 1: that's enjoyable to do on the weekend. Like I picture
- 28:48Speaker 1: our summers doing you know, tennis or pick a ball
- 28:52Speaker 1: or whatever the hobby is together, going to get coffees,
- 28:54Speaker 1: going to you know, the farmer's market, picking out our
- 28:58Speaker 1: you know, stuff for the week, and coming home Like
- 28:59Speaker 1: that's me beyond perfect. That is like the perfect morning
- 29:02Speaker 1: routine on a weekend that I'd love to do with
- 29:04Speaker 1: my husband every single morning. So anyways, if you have
- 29:07Speaker 1: any fun hobbies, let me know.
- 29:09Speaker 2: But yeah, I.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Feel like golf is also a little too long, like
- 29:12Speaker 1: when you when you're golfing. I mean, we could do
- 29:14Speaker 1: a nine hole, which I think would still take at
- 29:16Speaker 1: least two to three hours, whereas like an eighteen I
- 29:21Speaker 1: think is literally like five to six hours, which is
- 29:23Speaker 1: way too long.
- 29:24Speaker 2: So anyways, maybe we.
