Lena - her husband is on disability, and she is his unpaid carer. This year they can’t afford any heating in their house. His medical expenses have gone up double. Whatever they got for fuel allowance goes straight into medical and other expenses. Soon the reality for them is that they will be choosing whether they will be able to eat every day or not. She also has health issues. They are on one income. After all bills etc are paid, the 2 of them have £100 to live on
