- 0:00Listen up Stonehedge. I made a drawing of the platos on March. You
- 0:04can't touch, especially the hair. Oh you needn't worry. I'm a bit
- 0:08of an elbow man myself actually a bit different, a bit weird, not
- 0:13sexual. You take forever to say nothing. Fourth Finger Discount, dude,
- 0:34welcome to fourth Finger Discount of the podcast that is also certainly worth only five
- 0:38dollars. This week we hit the review episode h A B F zero eight.
- 0:42It is Homo Simpson. This is your wife, I add I am
- 0:46guy. Yes, the person who was always asking what's with the kimono?
- 0:50Also, what's with this episode? This episode was not fun. It was
- 0:54like I had moments where I enjoyed it. But when I read that Ricky
- 0:58Gervais wrote, by the way I'm going to save rickidja bais right. I
- 1:00believe that's how his last names. I'm apologize when I'm wrong. But I
- 1:04heard that he wrote the episode, I was like, Oh, was it
- 1:07gonna be different. It's gonna feel fresh, She's gonna feel you know,
- 1:10different to the other episodes of season seventeen. But then you read on that
- 1:14whilst he is credited, you know he come up with the concept of the
- 1:15idea for the show. The Simpsons writers all came in and did their usual
- 1:19things, so even he says, he goes, I got the writing credit,
- 1:23but it was a team effort. I came up with some stories.
- 1:25I did my stuff basically, And when I first watched this, so this
- 1:30is two thousand and six, I would have been wow, eighteens when I
- 1:33came out eighteen Is that right? It sounds a matter about that, um
- 1:36not what we wouldn't have been eighteen. I was born eighty eight. So
- 1:38is that write two thousand and six eighteen? Let's do the maths two thousand
- 1:42and six? Yeah? Was yet? Yes, yes, that's right.
- 1:44I still hadn't watched the Office, the UK version yet. I don't think
- 1:47the U maybe the US one may have just started by this point. But
- 1:49I didn't really know much about Rickey Jervas. I hadn't watched much of his
- 1:53stuff, remember watching this, going who the hell is this guy? Because
- 1:57I don't think it was really marketed heavily as string Ricky Gervais much, or
- 2:00maybe I just missed the promos. I just don't know whether he works in
- 2:06the Simpsons world, like even when he was trying to do his stick.
- 2:08They tried to like simpsonize it in moments like when he's trying to tell the
- 2:13joke to Marge March, like interrupting him and stuff. And I was like,
- 2:16this is just not working. It's just the two things aren't going well
- 2:19together. Yes, sometimes you've got a situation where it's like you got chocolate
- 2:23and my peanut butter. You got peanut butter and my chocolate too, great
- 2:27taste that tastes great together. This was like peanut butter and shoe polish.
- 2:30This was they don't both are effective and in their own separate realms. I
- 2:37mean, you know, when it comes to getting your shoes looking nice and
- 2:39shiny shoe polish, it's great when you want to tastey spread for you for
- 2:43your sandwich. Peanut butter awesome. But yeah, Ricky Jerveys has got a
- 2:47very definite style, certainly around this time. Because I mean, I mean,
- 2:53you said you didn't recall if they were pushing the whole kind of starring
- 2:55Ricky Gervais thing. I would be surprised if they didn't, because this is
- 3:00post the UK version of the offers. This really is upon reflection looking back
- 3:06now, it's just the Ricky Gervais show. This one, this episode,
- 3:07isn't it It really isn't really just a showcase for Ricky Java's as well his
- 3:13particular comic style, because this came out post the UK offers and around the
- 3:17time that he I think he started his next show, Extras, which was
- 3:22also very very popular, because Ricky was incredibly hot off the office. I
- 3:29mean, you know it there was enough of a sensation both in the UK
- 3:32and abroad that you know, the US brought the bought the rights to it
- 3:36and made their own version, which of course we all know about a few
- 3:39times in that era. Think we had Shameless was one we had, They
- 3:44tried the in between US at point, they tried so many they tried a
- 3:46version Space Skins was one, I think, yeah, yeah, and the
- 3:52IT crowd Yeah, I think with the communities, John McHale and the lead.
- 3:55Then can you American viewers just not enjoy the UK version? Why do
- 4:00you have to try and make it yours? Just fucking watch it and enjoy
- 4:02it? Well, I mean they often say, you know that the US
- 4:06and the UK senses of humor are you know, incredibly different. And if
- 4:13if you're I think the world we live in now though, it's completely different
- 4:16because when when things fine to watching things like in the UK they sort of
- 4:19watch BBC made programs. Now, with such access worldwide, we can pick
- 4:25and choose whatever wherever it's made. I think that we have like a global
- 4:29sense of humor almost at the point now which is good and bad. I'm
- 4:33leaning more towards bad, all long nasty the Australian sort of like that's why
- 4:39things like Blue and that are doing so well, because they sort of maintain
- 4:41that auzzy humor. You know, well that's something I mean. I'm doing
- 4:45some writing with some people at the moment, and one thing we talked about
- 4:47was um a universal voice with an Australian accent. You know, we wanted
- 4:53to gre out something that would play worldwide, but that would be distinctive enough
- 4:59in its and unique enough in its Australian This that Oh, that's that's new
- 5:04nice unusually four figured discount exactly. Yeah, I mean, god, there
- 5:10are probably heaps of Americans talking about the Simpsons, but are they doing it
- 5:13like this? Mate? And so many people took this podcast and just put
- 5:16a clock in it. You know, Hey, that's your stealer made bet.
- 5:24Yeah, but but sorry. Going back to Ricky Gervaise, Yeah,
- 5:26he was incredibly hot off the off the UK office. It started a new
- 5:29show extras. You know, any every celebrity and their dog wanted to be
- 5:32part of that, and it it makes sense that the Simpsons would either reach
- 5:39out to him or that he felt he had enough cloud to say, Hey,
- 5:42Simpsons, HQ, Ricky, hang on, Rickie dese here, you
- 5:46know me from the office, you know you know that fat right? Sorry
- 5:50listeners, listeners, let me know. Was was that a terrible Ricky Gervaise
- 5:55on? It was? It was enough. Soca was a huge mac Grady
- 6:00was a huge fan, and him and Algie and met Rickie for dinner and
- 6:01told him that they wanted him to write an episode. Basically they were huge
- 6:04fans of his and they approached him. Okay, then that makes sense.
- 6:10Yeah, I mean, I'm pretty sure they would center the publicity around hot
- 6:15new comic voice and sensation Ricky Gervais now on your favorite animated sitcom, The
- 6:20Simpsons, and there you go. But yeah, they're totally very, very
- 6:26different. I mean, you can tell that Ricky is not really trying to
- 6:30as much as he's a fan of the Simpsons, and he really cops to
- 6:32that. He didn't really try to sort of weave his way into the Simpsons
- 6:38makeup of it all. He just did his thing, the Simpsons guys are
- 6:41there thing, And I was the hope that well, you guys like comedy,
- 6:45right, here's a whole bunch of it. It's like, well,
- 6:47yeah, this is a jigsaw that's all made up of pieces that don't fit.
- 6:51Yeah, and I don't know, the whole is set up for the
- 6:56whole HDTV thing, right, the wife swapping that kind of thing, watching
- 7:00this going this would have been a better storyline for the episode in which they
- 7:02turned into HD. So oh yeah you have you know the final episode that's
- 7:08non HD, it ends with them becoming HD when the home when it seems
- 7:11to get an HDTV. I thought that would have been a good sort of
- 7:13story, like a meta joke that makes that's a that's a really great idea.
- 7:16That's a fantastic idea because Shane, they didn't do yeah, because when
- 7:20you turned on the when they went HD, you just turned on it was
- 7:23like, oh, it's it's just in white screen now. But I think
- 7:25if you made it an event where it's like, this is the flast time
- 7:28we're going to see him in four three, and then they it's four four
- 7:30three or the sixty nine four three is the fourth is a small one,
- 7:33the's sixty nine to white screen? Yes, yes, yeah, and then
- 7:36sort of at the end of it sort of goes and what and goes white
- 7:41like that. I think that would have been really really cool. Absolutely,
- 7:43yeah, that's a shame they didn't do that. They did a similar thing
- 7:45at the start of the Simpsons movie, whether you're watching hitch in Scratchy cartoon
- 7:48and then it expands out wide. But um, yeah, anyway, but
- 7:51I just think there wasn't like Lenny's party. And apparently Ricky one of his
- 7:57favorite characters was Lenny, which is why he did this. But again,
- 8:00like why would Lenny have all these people everybody's house? Why is missus k
- 8:03there? Why is fucking sideshow Maladies party? Why is Gil there? Yeah,
- 8:07there's all these It's like the Simpsons. Now everyone just knows everybody.
- 8:11It's just it's lost. It's lost that charm of different parts of the community
- 8:16where they sort of they would meet out a town hall. But now it's
- 8:18just like everyone knows, everyone knows, everyone hears like it's lost. It's
- 8:22lost that realism. Now, this honestly felt like the kind of episode made
- 8:26by someone who's a fan of the show. It's like, Ah, I
- 8:30get to hang out with all my cool buddies. Yeah, it's like,
- 8:33yeah, but all your cool buddies don't necessarily hang out together, you know.
- 8:37I mean, it's great that you're a fan, but at the same
- 8:39time, you should be enough of a fan to realize that certain parts work
- 8:45together in certain parts don't. And they're still persisting with Sideshow mel and Cleaders.
- 8:50They can't go an episode without having a fucking Cleaners joke. My second
- 8:54line in my notes was, well, my first line was oh hackey marriage
- 8:58joke right out of the game, and then second and then Cleitus. There
- 9:03ain't after all, good start, and I've never seen something so highly divine.
- 9:07And I was like, oh my god, I mean, that's not
- 9:09even a bad line. In the terms of VS were kind of a but
- 9:16it was like wow, yeah, yeah. And I don't know whether we'll
- 9:20ever get a point where TVs will have that sort of response anymore. I
- 9:26just can't imagine TV's being clearer than what they are now. I know we
- 9:28would have said that twenty years ago, but prove me wrong. People,
- 9:31prove me wrong unless you come up with like, you know, the little
- 9:33magic Genie lamp TV that sits on the on your floor or is built into
- 9:39your floor and it you switch it on and it comes up and it's like
- 9:45three D. It's like it's like a stage play. But um what it's
- 9:50like you're there? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's like, um,
- 9:52you know Minority Report, the movie Report. You know, of course you
- 9:56know the movie. But there's a bit in that way we're talking about.
- 10:00Yeah, I'm not talking about my neo Nazi newsletter Minority Report, but yeah,
- 10:07there's a bit where cruisers looking at home movies and he's like in the
- 10:11movie inside the other movie. Yea, yeah, So I'm that would be
- 10:15the next step if it ever happens, and of course it probably will happen.
- 10:18It will eventually. Yeah. I don't think in our lifetime though,
- 10:20but I want it now. I just thought them the writing was just inconsistent
- 10:26in the sense that the story was that. So the story is that Marge
- 10:30doesn't like this guy, makes which makes perfect sense. Obviously, she's just
- 10:31met the guy, but she keeps saying, Homie would do anything to save
- 10:35our marriage and he loves us and blah blah blah. Episode starts off with
- 10:39Homework making a anti marriage gag, which wasn't even done the sense of the
- 10:43whole. Hey just ribbing him, lady. It was like no, no,
- 10:46he said it, and then he had to backtrack. He realize what
- 10:48he has said, and at the end of the episode is them is him
- 10:52serenading the TV, and Marge's like, yeah, whatever, and she closes
- 10:54her eyes and goes to sleep. I'm like, what he goes against the
- 10:58whole point of Marge's speech that he just did a minute ago, the whole
- 11:01point of the Simpsons in general, because I mean, the heart of the
- 11:05well, one of the hearts of the Simpsons is the fact that Homer and
- 11:09Marge love each other. Yeah, so I thought they were going to count
- 11:13it, like the gag was that you were supposed to think you were serenading
- 11:16Marge, because I thought the balance would the normal thing would be, Okay,
- 11:18these guys are in an unhappy marriage, but no margin, Homer,
- 11:22They're the constant. They're always going to love it through thick and thin.
- 11:24They'll love each other. Nope, he's serenading a television and Marge is just
- 11:28like, whatever, I'm going to sleep, Yeah, whatever, which pretty
- 11:31much sums up this episode in a nutshell. Yeah, it wasn't. It
- 11:33wasn't a great one. It really really wasn't my favorite. But did you
- 11:37have any favorite moments? That's the question. I have one line, I
- 11:43have one line. I have exactly two lines. Can I say wine?
- 11:46Just in case you've got it as well? Go ahead? So it was
- 11:50Ricky Gervais making talking at the start, Homer goes utiake forever to say nothing.
- 11:54That was one of my that subs Ricky gerbass up perfectly, it really
- 12:00does. I liked that and I like, listen up Stonehenge. Oh yes,
- 12:03yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. That's all I like.
- 12:07I mean, I liked his joke. I didn't like the way Marche kept
- 12:09interrupting it and ruining the flow of the joke. But the joke herself was
- 12:11like so obvious what he's going to say, but still funny. Yeah,
- 12:16that would that would kill in it for one of a better term, that
- 12:20would kill in another context. Yeah, on the office if he told that
- 12:22and then the people just sat there awkwardly, like looking around and him trying
- 12:26to backtrack out of it. That would have been funnier. But how do
- 12:28you Marge just sort of go, oh, this is so great. I
- 12:30love what you're saying so far. Oh, this is so funny, and
- 12:31I'm like, shut yep, you're fucking with the flow. Yeah, because
- 12:37I mean, Ricky Gervais's whole persona is essentially he's socially awkward and he desperately
- 12:43wants to be liked. Yes, he thinks the Yeah, he thinks he's
- 12:46the class clown or you know, the court jaister who can just like I'm
- 12:50the life of the part, you know, go make everyone He's not cockney.
- 12:54I don't know why I did that accent, but I just like to
- 12:58an accent. Um. Yeah, and that joke on another one of his
- 13:05shows, like on extras or likes David Brent on The Office, they'd be
- 13:07like, yea, works nailed it. Fantastic in this context, and particularly
- 13:13with the way, as you said, Marge kept charming, and it's like,
- 13:16well, this is making an awkward situation even more awkward and less funny.
- 13:20At the same time. It's no, no, you got it all
- 13:26wrong. Not great yeah, I mean, I don't know. I mean,
- 13:31I'm very much. I'm kind of torn on Ricky Gervay's in general.
- 13:35I got to say, I mean, I think he's a the stuff he
- 13:41did with the office and to less decent with the extras, I think is
- 13:43really quite brilliant. I mean, I think he's kind of fearless in terms
- 13:46of making himself the butt of the joke, and when he goes in,
- 13:48he goes all in on it. And that's that's very admirable, very impressive,
- 13:52and very very funny a lot of the time. But I think there
- 13:56are other situations where he is legit intimately trying too hard. He's almost like
- 14:01David Brent for real, or he's like you gotta love me, come on,
- 14:05come on, love me. You know, I got sick of the
- 14:09stick of Oh I can't. What's he gonna say at the Golden Globes this
- 14:13time? I'm like, yeah, I mean, it was funny the first
- 14:16time, but now you just want to be expecting it. It's lost,
- 14:18the lost, it's lost. The teeth. The teeth had been sort of
- 14:22he's been defanged as a result. It's almost like going you're going to a
- 14:24roast now when the first time everyone's like, I can't believe he said that,
- 14:28and then the next time it's like, Okay, what's he gonna say
- 14:30this time? Oh yeah, you got them. It's like I'm pretty sure
- 14:33he's going to be sort of glad handing backstage, like all good fun in
- 14:37it. Yeah, So there's a there was. There was a great um
- 14:41moment though I sort of meme recently with him on It must have been because
- 14:45you know, I've been saying his name at home, and it's my algorithms
- 14:48like, hey, you like this guy as all these Ricky Davey's memes get
- 14:50popped up. But it was like he was on um Who's the host with
- 14:56the Black Glasses, um us host talk shout host Colbert Cobet on the Cobee
- 15:01Report whatever, Yeah, and it was like he's talking about how he's not
- 15:05religious, and Cobear is like, then what do you have faith in if
- 15:09you don't have faith in God? And he's like dogs. I'm like,
- 15:13yeah, amen, brother, dogs. I can see dogs, I can
- 15:18touch dogs. They love me back, like I have faith in faith in
- 15:20dogs. He's a big animal guy, I mean, apparently a shit,
- 15:22a ton of money and he's going to leave all his all his money to
- 15:26animal charities. I mean, full credit to him. He is living his
- 15:28best life and he hasn't changed for anybody. That's the thing. Yeah,
- 15:33I mean to his credit, he does walk it like he talks yeah,
- 15:37yeah, which which is great. But I mean there are also occasions when
- 15:41he's been sort of called out for I mean, his stand up. Apparently
- 15:45he's very kind of tell it like it is. And sometimes that's good and
- 15:50sometimes that's a bit. It can be a big bunch of old mate that
- 15:54we're listening to when we're walking into Super and Over that day. Oh that
- 15:58guy. I'm just like, if you listen for some context. We'll go
- 16:03to Super over to catch up with our man Jim Cummings, and we're walking
- 16:06in and it's just like I want to say, security guard or just a
- 16:08random guy wearing a high views vesting it he was actually doing anything. He's
- 16:15just like standing there talking to himself, just going you know what, yeah,
- 16:18and just you know what. I tell it how it is, mate,
- 16:19Yeah, and no one someone tells me what to do. I don't
- 16:22change for anyone. I'm talent how it is. And we're just like what
- 16:26is happening right now. He's guys having a conversation with himself. Did he
- 16:30have the phone, Well, it wasn't speaking directly into the phone down and
- 16:34using it like a walkie talking. Maybe he did, I don't know.
- 16:37But whoever, I'm never more fun of. He was just talking to himself,
- 16:41just announcing his philosophy to the world. I'll tell her like it is.
- 16:45I tell it like it is. It's like, I'm not racist,
- 16:47mate, I don't judge anyone. I tell it like it is. I'm
- 16:49you know, basically I'm racist to everybody. But essentially around this time,
- 16:55around two thousand and six and then Ricky Javis will So he was doing it
- 17:00a series of televised interviews with like his comedy heroes. He did one with
- 17:04Larry David from cur The Enthusiasm, but most notoriously did one with the late
- 17:10great Gary Shandler. Wow, Okay, and Shandling was not a fan,
- 17:15I mean didn't get the ship. I think they just had different world views.
- 17:19And I mean I think Ricky jas was like a real mega fan of
- 17:23Gary Shandling, and Gary Shandling's just like I'm not sure about this guy or
- 17:26and Shandley was also just like a third Dann black belt judo master in passive
- 17:33aggression and just kind of sunk the knife into him ever so gently. And
- 17:40I mean it's on YouTube, And how did Ricky handle that? I think
- 17:44he was kind of like, oh, we're all we're all mates here and
- 17:45all this kind of stuff. But he was meant to do five of these
- 17:49Ricky Gervais meats shows. He did three, and then according to a source,
- 17:56it's like Shandling just killed him. He's not doing anymore after this.
- 18:00Really, Yeah, so I mean, I'm pretty sure you can find it
- 18:03on YouTube. Yeah, I do find that kind of interesting because I think,
- 18:07you know, I think he's very good at what he does, but
- 18:10I think he also has a few sort of blind spots and weak spots.
- 18:14So anyway, as well, and I'm gonna say this episode is kind of
- 18:17one of them. I guess they were trying to sort of bring his office
- 18:18character to the Simpsons well, but yeah, it just didn't work. Next

- 20:33All right? My first question is Fox is ranked? What it says
- 20:37on the side of the building where they're driving into the lot. It's the
- 20:41It's the number two network with prisons between eighteen and forty nine. Right,
- 20:45correct, Well done. Back to Lenny, how many months did he date
- 20:51the woman in the woody woodpecket costume? Six months? Three months? Half
- 20:56that I'm there, three or six. I'm gonna take six. I got
- 21:00it wrong. Don't don't come with me to a casino. My next question
- 21:04is who do they say? Whose face did I say, put over the
- 21:07top of the Homer's ass? There aren't enough pixels in the world when he
- 21:11when he's moving the camera, I said, don't just slap someone's face over
- 21:15it. Oh um, Oh it was a Ryan Seacrest Ryan Seacrest, the
- 21:19name who you don't hear very often anymore. I mean, you know,
- 21:22he's still he was all over the news. I probably still is American.
- 21:23Ide was still going. He's probably still believe so don't we're still doing those
- 21:27shows. But he was, um, he was, Yeah, one of
- 21:33those guys. I always just seemed like an absolute prick, even though I've
- 21:36never met him. He was always betrayed as a preaky, sort of held
- 21:38himself like he was just an arrogant guy. But I'm assuming that's just the
- 21:41stick he was playing, kind of like Simon cow He's just he's going to
- 21:45play that character like there's no way he is that kind of person in real
- 21:48life. Yeah, well, yeah, that's true. I mean I'm not
- 21:52sure in all, Yeah, but he's sort of had that very smug,
- 21:56smimy thing going on, didn't he kind of like remember the guy used to
- 22:00host is now a politician in New South Wales at James Matheson for an Australian
- 22:03idol Channel V. I don't forget the day I met that guy and he
- 22:07was rude to me, just ruined me. I loved Channel V growing up.
- 22:11Andrew g who is now Gunsberg. But oh, absolute champion. I've
- 22:15met him a few times. Lovely, lovely person. Right, and he's
- 22:18to co host Channel V with this James Matheson, And man, James was
- 22:22just so rude to this little like ten year old Dando. Didn't have any
- 22:26time for me. Just break my spirits ten year old Dan. I mean,
- 22:30I can understand being rude to like eighteen year old Dan. Yeah,
- 22:32yeah, you're probably a duche. But they're doing like some live broadcast down
- 22:36here from the beach and like live on Channel V. Remember he was there
- 22:38and I was like, oh, James, can I please have your autograph?
- 22:41He just looked at me and goes, I don't do that, and
- 22:44it welled off and I was like, I wasn't I want to go home?
- 22:48Mom't God channels seem more like and you know what the C stands for.
- 22:53Yeah, he was just like, I don't do that. No.
- 22:56I was so sad. I'm really sorry, man, that's terrible. Voting
- 23:03for James Matheson go hell no, we are not indeed all right, what's
- 23:04your next question? We'll do one more each. What is the name of
- 23:08the cameraman who smoked a joint in Bart's room. I want to say it's
- 23:12Dug the Doug. You would be correct and saying yeah. My final question
- 23:17is who was c Simami? No? Who was led him in talking to
- 23:22Alias? I always going to kick out of Home's stories where you just can't
- 23:25decide what's real and what's not. Now here's the thing. This is a
- 23:29neat little time that I when I was doing some half hour's research. I've
- 23:33forgotten exactly when he was on it, but Ricky Javas had a guest role
- 23:37on Alias. He did Okay, Then who did he play? He played
- 23:41like a bomb maker for the IRA. Okay, he plays a good bad
- 23:48guy. Look it looks like a villain. Yeah yeah, because he was
- 23:53most known for his comedy the Stage. And yeah yeah. And I was
- 23:56watching Alias because I really dug it. Atlis was the top show I've never
- 23:59watched. Yes I should because was that. Want to borrow the box set?
- 24:02I got the box set here. Man, I think they're all on
- 24:03Disney Plus, but I would have taken that for sure. Yes, do
- 24:07you want to borrow? Do you want to borrow my discs? You want
- 24:11to get up every three episodes to put it a new one in? Oh?
- 24:18God like a savage like a caveman. But no, he's but he
- 24:23yea. I did this guest spot on Alias playing this playing this IRA guy,
- 24:27and I was like, holy shit, Riggs really bringing it here.
- 24:32This is good staff. He plays them the second villain on the Muppet movie
- 24:36Muppets Most Wanted My Kids. I love it, love it. Yeah,
- 24:38he plays a good he's called Dominic bad guy that and he plays a lot
- 24:42of good a lot of good actors in that one. Isn't really offering that
- 24:45one as well? Yeah? Yeah, they and apparently was like they were
- 24:48going to make a third Muppets movie, but because I didn't do too well,
- 24:51they counts the third one. But I highly recommend Muppets Mayhem, very
- 24:55very good. The fourth Figure Discount Network is brought to you by our incredible

- 25:57Wife was March when we see two thousand and six, written by Ricky Gervais
- 26:02and the Simpson stuff obviously and directed by Matthew and as stuck. There was
- 26:06a Choppo. It was actually a full intro. That's actually something we should
- 26:07have touched on. So when this originally aired in the BBC. On the
- 26:11BBC in the UK, they had this live action reimagination of the Simpsons intro
- 26:17and I remember watching it. It didn't look that good. It was kind
- 26:19of random and weird, but they apparently used that intro for this episode.
- 26:23It was like a tie in. So now the ratings for this episode but
- 26:26like double what they normally would get. There was like two points something million.
- 26:29Normally only got a million, so it was a big deal having Ricky
- 26:32Gervais on The Simpsons in the UK. Anyway, Um, did did that
- 26:34intro star Keith Nettem? Yeah? I want? I wanted? Did the
- 26:40choppol gag I will not eat things for money? And the couch gag was
- 26:44the live action one, as I was saying, but um, yeah,
- 26:45it's when you watch on Disney may do something with the with the board gag
- 26:51as well. It wasn't the one like I will not laminate dog Deal or
- 26:55something. I think the most similar to Marge versus of the Monorail original airing
- 26:59taken from the Sky one promo I will not Laminate dog Do in the rerun
- 27:03airing. Oh I don't know it was, yeah, because they they've changed
- 27:07it for Disney Plus and the reruns because the one on Disney Plus now has
- 27:11them the spit whether it's like the four moves most in Coals, Yeah,
- 27:15yeah, well no, that's the that's the that's the cat, that's a
- 27:18that's a cash ga for This is the original in this in the um.
- 27:22In the original air it was a live action one. They all run and
- 27:25sit on the cat the board gag. Yeah, the boar the board gag
- 27:27was in this one. Here. I believe I will not laminate dog Do,
- 27:32but the original one said, oh will not eat things for money.
- 27:34Right there we go. Yeah, confusing, confusing. Anyway, we got
- 27:37so much going on in this episode, not much of it funny. But
- 27:41the episode kicks off with Homer and Marge driving to Lenny's party, discussing what
- 27:47the announcement may be, the potential for it, and Hammer makes a anti
- 27:51marriage joking why would he want to do that announce and he's getting married,
- 27:53and as we said earlier, it just goes against the whole point of the
- 27:57story anyway. But then we get clear us and branding. They've been left
- 28:02out because they're afraid of using the uppity box and I've just got here.
- 28:04Was that needed? But anyway, we arrive at the party now and carl
- 28:08Um is dancing, then realizes that he has to work tomorrow, so he's
- 28:11going home. I'm like, He's having this on a weekday. What what's
- 28:15got so all these people don't work tomorrow? What? What? What is
- 28:18happening? I mean, I'm a sucker for anything that's you know, ain't
- 28:23no party like a so and so party, because a so and so party
- 28:26don't stop one of my favorite things to say. But yeah, in this
- 28:30situation just sets up more questions than provides answers. Yeah, I was not
- 28:37happy about and this is it's just weird. But Homer and March's randomly in
- 28:41Lenny's bedroom just looking at various things on his walls. If they see him
- 28:45on the fake magazine cover and things like that. Yeah, now you were,
- 28:49of course. I mean I know a little about the Simpson. You
- 28:52know a lot about the Simpson. When was the episode when he said don't
- 28:56tell anyone how I live? That was Reality Bite season nine. Yeah,
- 29:03so he's moved up in the world. Lenny's life is very all over the
- 29:07shop. It always has been the cot Nuity because he had that house where
- 29:10they're playing cards with them, you know when they say, um, you're
- 29:14slow, and he goes something said not good and then Lenny's house that day,
- 29:18Um, and yeah, I don't I don't know. Lenny sometimes rich,
- 29:22sometimes he's got a girlfriend because he's like cleaning someone's toe nails, and
- 29:25it's it's it's weird, so that the cotnulity of Lenny's personal life has always
- 29:29been up and down, but this one was just weird. I just I
- 29:32don't know, just because yeah, I mean, he must have did well
- 29:37at a scratchy from the Quickie Marty. He's got all this money apparently n
- 29:41large, I just I don't know ask questions anymore. But apparently he was
- 29:45dating some girl from who was in the Woody Woodpecker costume, and she left
- 29:48him for the guy that cleans the vomit on the on the roller coasters.
- 29:52Then we get Mo, who's really annoyed that Lenny's cut his salary at an
- 29:56angle another jet doesn't go anywhere. It just gets angry and everyone goes and
- 30:00that's it. I mean, it's it's a typical Mo joke in that um
- 30:03you're like, hey, you think it better than me. Yeah, but
- 30:07when you always get your salary on the angle anyway, But yeah, I've
- 30:11just got my notes. Why are the van happens here? But Lenny reveals
- 30:17that the big thing is he's got a plasma screen HD TV, and I
- 30:19was gonna be a plasma That is dated. We still have HDTVs now,
- 30:23but remember when plasma felt like it was the big deal yet a plasma?
- 30:26Oh my god. Yeah. Do you remember the first time you saw like
- 30:29high definition TV? I remember the first time I saw like a flat screen
- 30:32TV. It was just like, Okay, we've hit We've hit the new
- 30:34millennium people. I remember seeing it on my buddy Steve's plays. It sounds
- 30:40like your buddy Steve is the guy that he's that mate who always has to
- 30:42have the first of everything. He's an early adopter. Yeah, I mean
- 30:45he was the first I saw the first time. No, I didn't mix
- 30:51me. He's married to consumerism. He feels that void with with the new
- 30:56technology. Yes, and friends, he's got a rich, full life.
- 31:03But yeah, first time I saw HD and blue ray was over at Steves
- 31:07joined and no, admit I smoked a little bit of Jazzyrett, But honestly,
- 31:11it was like someone had kicked a hole in the wall. It's kind
- 31:12of looking at real life. Yeah, that's the thing. It was like,
- 31:15as we said earlier, how can TVs? Can it be clear?
- 31:18That this. I refused to believe it. Although people talking about, well,
- 31:25they're bringing at eight KTVs and I was like, I don't know.
- 31:29I don't think I need eight K TVs. I watched these four K blue
- 31:33rays and I'm like, yeah, they're fine. Yeah, you're gonna have
- 31:37to start giving my eyes an overhaul. Yeah, you're gonna have to do
- 31:41I don't think my eyes can handle this many pixels. But then sidehe mel
- 31:47I've literally got my notes. Please fuck off. It's great. I just
- 31:53I'm really sick of Side. It's become a joke now how often he appears
- 31:57just to yell at one line and it never appeared again. No. Homer
- 32:00then says he's going to spend the rest of his life on this couch,
- 32:02and we get a parody of two thousand and one in space Obyously, we
- 32:06already had one of those, and recently I think, well, these face
- 32:09Homer is the cause, the most famous one, that's the big one obviously.
- 32:13Yeah, but it's it's it's such an iconic kind of thing that even
- 32:15if you haven't seen two thousand and one, you kind of know it.
- 32:17Maybe it was on like South Park or Futurama or something that I maybe it
- 32:21was Futurama, probably on Future Had It. Yeah, yeah it could.
- 32:23We obviously do a Future More podcast as well. But he jumps out the
- 32:27couch. I've got his skinner and bubble. Have we have I missed something?
- 32:29Are they now a thing again? Did I forget that? Or are
- 32:30they just sitting next to one another? Because like he has his arm around
- 32:34her, it's oh okay when they're like troubbing off the couch, like rubs
- 32:37his arm around her. And I don't know, I swear the last time
- 32:40we saw them together they were like she was like hating him, you know,
- 32:45one of those things that they just forget about and just bring up whatever
- 32:46they feel like it. Look at the picture quality, you could see the
- 32:53soulist emptiness in that shark's eye. Two and a Half Man. You could
- 33:00see the soul its emptiness and Charlie Sheen's eyes a bit of a Charlie Sheen
- 33:05gag here he was. He was one of the biggest stars in to work
- 33:07at this point, wasn't he With Two and a Half Man? He genuinely
- 33:10was. Yeah, it was everywhere when he had that meltdown, that was
- 33:14just like everywhere wasn't it? That was so weird? What was it was
- 33:16winning winning and Tiger Blood was winning and Tiger Blood. Did he reveal that
- 33:22he was HIV positive during that interview as well? I think, so yeah,
- 33:27is that something that that's something like everyone's forgotten about. I mean,
- 33:30I'm not saying, oh, you should have a scarlet h on his shirt
- 33:34all the time, but it's like it's kind of a big deal. Yeah,
- 33:37I could be wrong. It seems about right though, But that was
- 33:42it was such a such a bitter, messy ending to that show, wasn't
- 33:45it. How he like they replaced Dash and Kucher and they squashed him at
- 33:51ever you seen the final episode. It is such a circle jerk. I
- 33:54never really got into two and a half minute. I'm not a fan of
- 33:58the Chuck Laurie school of comedy, just like the big, big theory kind
- 34:00of thing. None of that kind of suff although he did do the kause
- 34:05Minsky method on on Netflix, which is good for old Fox like me.
- 34:08So so yeah, Lou and I really dug that, but you know he
- 34:13did. He wrote the theme for Teenagement Ninja Turtles so good. It's multi
- 34:19talent to dude, It's just that his talents are not necessarily to my liking.
- 34:22But you know, he's making all the moneys. So there you go.
- 34:25Um, but the kids come to try and get Homer take him home
- 34:29again, but they stay because the HDTV as well at this point not,
- 34:34as he said, not everyone had the HDTV. So when someone had one,
- 34:36it was like, So, I was like, when one of your
- 34:37friends has a pool table, can we go to Steve's house. He's got
- 34:40the he's got the TV. It's funny, Steve actually does have a pull
- 34:45table. Yeah, it's like, hey, the foot he's on, we
- 34:49shouldna watch the Steve's house. Yeah. Yeah, Steve just got to be
- 34:52shorthand for now. The guy's got everything. Yeah yeah, exactly. Yeah,
- 34:57it's gonna be our new thing out to my man, Steve. Exactly.
- 35:00Yeah. It sounds like a great dude. Sounds like my man.
- 35:01If I wasn't married, i'd be Steve. I'm still got to m Steve.
- 35:06It's just like a woman that puts up with me. But so he's
- 35:09Um, the kids are there, they're watching TV. They're watching the Dancing
- 35:13Coal Saw instead of the Rainbow outside. Then Lenny starts throwing matches at home
- 35:16and to get him to leave, and I was, kids, just let
- 35:20me take a photo of the TV. And he's already done it, obviously
- 35:22because they showed him in the wall. And that's the end of that chapter.
- 35:28But that sort of sets something in motion because now Homer wants an HDTV?
- 35:31How can he get one? Another long winded way to get there?
- 35:35Though, wasn't It was like five and a half to six minutes of nothing,
- 35:37So Homer wants couldn't Homer just what part walked through the shop and seeing
- 35:40the HTTV and then he wants one. It certainly was long winded in the
- 35:45way that it was like a long drawn out fart. Yeah, which if
- 35:49you're doing it you're very proud of, but when you're not doing it,
- 35:51you want to immediately. It's it's entertaining and a great relief. This was
- 35:58this, This was neither have you ever been proud of a fart? Yes?
- 36:01I have as well over a few times I've done. I was like,
- 36:04that was that was impressive, Brendan, well done? Oh yeah,
- 36:07that that had real kind of gusto and the ones that do it. But
- 36:15I feel better for having done it. It's like, holy shit, I
- 36:16feel like a kilo lighter. Have you ever farted in public or at a
- 36:23party or whatever, done it quietly enough where it's seeped out and then either
- 36:29wandered away or just hung around, but you could tell everyone smelt it,
- 36:32but you get away with it. Yes, they're the best ones, aren't
- 36:36they? You really are not my best fart story. But it's not even
- 36:42well because I wasn't the one parting. It's the drop your gut story,
- 36:45was it? No? No, I've already told that one. That's that's
- 36:49out there in the end public domain. Now. I was at the supermarket
- 36:54on Paco on Packington Street for non Geelong people. Um, and yeah,
- 37:01I wasn't right behind this dude, but I was close enough, like it
- 37:06maybe a trolley's length away from him. Yeah, And he clearly thought there
- 37:09was no one else in the ocause he's just cog leg and let one rip.
- 37:13And I was like, I was like, what what doppen I keep
- 37:19in the brick wall? Just where it? Is it Lenny who's getting chased
- 37:27by the osaka flu when the box opens? That's what it was like.
- 37:35I'll never forget one of the funniest, funniest things. I was like,
- 37:37on Live TV. This kid asked the reporter, can I catch COVID if
- 37:40my fan fat in my face? Like fair question, that's legit, Like
- 37:51you know, during the COVID era, we'll write about people coughing and that
- 37:53kind of thing. People just fart in the right sound up, didn't give
- 37:55a shit. Ship party was all over our face. Up, bring your
- 37:58mom on. I give a fuck about it, e cal, I just
- 38:02worry about this guy OVID thing, stupid non players. My TV pictures so
- 38:09blurry. I just will rub dirt in my eyes only. I've been thinking
- 38:14we had been using this TV for a long time. So I entered a
- 38:17contest with the first prize is a plasma screen TV March. I love you,
- 38:23I love you, I love you now. I really hope we won
- 38:30that contest. There's a chance we won't win. And it was like that
- 38:34though too, when one of your friends with the new TV with your place,
- 38:37You're like, oh man, this shit I'm thinking about. You know,
- 38:42maybe ten fifteen years ago, one of the like a big on Sunday
- 38:46TV. It had a flat screen, but it still had the heavy machinery
- 38:51at the back. Yep, it wasn't those Yeah, I know talking about
- 38:53yep. Yeah, yeah, and when I've grabbed more like a flat screen
- 38:59you kind one which was still fairly thick, you know, size of a
- 39:04a pretty big sandwich. Yes, I know I've got one here in this
- 39:06room, and the like fifteen years ago, it's still like it's it's the
- 39:08met it's not thin, it's not thin thing. No. But I was
- 39:14like, oh, I'm gonna I'll try and take and get this and get
- 39:16a few bucks for this at cash. He's down at cash converters like quick
- 39:23pull the lines down. It's like another one of these suckers. But I'm
- 39:30not sure I've actually took it into cash. You But I said, I've
- 39:31got this type of TV. I know that new TV's a popular bit.
- 39:36Could I give it something? Nap? You just keep on walking, okay,
- 39:45So yeah, a really nice Sony television. I probably ended up just
- 39:49I think I gave it one of my sisters in the end. But but
- 39:53I was driving down of the street not long ago, and you know there's
- 39:55hard rubbish place. You know, people will put their hard rubbish out on
- 39:58the streets, like yeah, fredal good Home or whatever, you know,
- 40:00and I saw him one of the relatively flat screen TV's. It's like,
- 40:04oh man, you can't even sell this on Facebook, Marketplace or whatever.
- 40:07Just like take it, take it? Did you take it? Oh?
- 40:12No, no, no, I've got like I've got my good TV that
- 40:15I use. I've got the TV that I had before that. And that's
- 40:20in the spirings. I'm like, I really like this and I get the
- 40:22feeling it'll be useful some day. Some way. It won't be, but
- 40:27yeah, it won't be. It's just gathering dust. There are two TVs
- 40:32in the back room. One of them is lou was cleaning out and it's
- 40:37like, oh, it's a TV, Like, yeah, I'm throwing this
- 40:39out. I'm like that might be able to use that as like a computer
- 40:43monitu. So you took it and it doesn't work, and I still even
- 40:45thrown at it. And then there was um occurring theme here. Yeah,
- 40:52the fact of it is I'm a hoarder or build a ship that doesn't That
- 40:57doesn't work. But that background especially, that's that's disgraceful. And also Mum's
- 41:02old one, and Mum was we thought we were doing Muma Soul, you
- 41:06know, for a birthday. I was like, Mum, smart TV,
- 41:08you can watch everything. On the one screen. Don't like it, Mum
- 41:13does not like. The old one was beverly good. I knew how it
- 41:15worked. This one, I don't know how it worked. They take so
- 41:20long to figure out how they work. When you give him something new,
- 41:21it just scares them. Yes, yeah, I worked that with my name
- 41:25Marlene Godblots. She's gone now, but we got her like the foxtol.
- 41:29She's like, I don't want fox stole. I just don't want Fox styles
- 41:31too. I'm like, just let me give you the box. You have
- 41:35to pay anything, We're gonna pay for you that Fox style, then you
- 41:37can. Because she was too old to the point she couldn't come to the
- 41:38games anymore, I was like, you can watch every AFL football game live,
- 41:43no ads, you can watch them all from home. She was like,
- 41:45ah, So what happened was one day she had to go to the
- 41:47doctors. So I went there and installed it all. Get the foxtyle,
- 41:50got to put the dish on. I installed it all. She got home
- 41:52and I showed it to her. She was like, it's pretty good.
- 41:57Gaes like so many times then would call me up and she'd be like,
- 42:02Brandon that the foxtail won't turn on. You pushed the power button? Yes,
- 42:07wait, which one's that one? The one at the top. Nothing's
- 42:10happening. Okay, So if you push the button on the remote, is
- 42:14the TV remote have changed to this thing? What lights are on the box?
- 42:19Blue one and a red one. I'm like, okay, so it's
- 42:20on. I'm all right, So whens if you push the menu button nothing,
- 42:23I'm like, well, you're not on the foxtail button. What do
- 42:25you mean I'm not on the foxtail channel. I'm like, put that,
- 42:28put the sauce. She goes, what what button? I was like,
- 42:31oh my god, it's tough. That's really tough. Just watched I'm like,
- 42:37nan, going forward. I had a rule watch channel nine through No.
- 42:42Seven, nine through foxtail. That way you don't have to flick sauces.
- 42:46Well we had to do. We did that as well with this new
- 42:50smart TV that we got for mum. But Mum's foxtail connection was so old
- 42:54that um connectors. Ah yeah yeah, And like we were pulling wardrobes out
- 43:00and we're looking to go, this doesn't plug into here. I don't know
- 43:04what we're gonna do. Yeah yeah, yeah, that two the two plugs.
- 43:07He can get free to because we were like, Mum, we're gonna
- 43:09set it up so you know you can watch regular TV through the foxtown and
- 43:14then but also Netflix and all this kind of stuff. Yeah, we didn't
- 43:15work, and it is so fucking smart. We just ruined this poor woman's
- 43:22life. All she wanted to do was what Sky new, and then she
- 43:25fell over and then she fell on. I think you did it just a
- 43:30spiders. We soon, Margaret Mary. No, she's good, she's well.
- 43:37I don't know whether we talked about in this podcast at last one,
- 43:38but yes, hopefully your mother's feeling better after that recent tumble. Yes,
- 43:42mum took a tumble land on the coffee table, but she's got a few
- 43:46bruises on the side, but no crack ribs, nothing like that. And
- 43:50apparently her blood work is that of a twenty five year old person. Margaret
- 43:53Mary still going strong, good on better than I. Yeah, still can't
- 43:58work the TV. Good thing about shit episodes is that we can just wander
- 44:00off and just talk about other stuff. I go back, Tom, this
- 44:07is your wife already into for the shit episode. Stee for the banter,
- 44:13stay for the chats. Where were we even up to he doesn't want he
- 44:16wants the plasma TV yet, Yes, marchess, she's entered them into a
- 44:21contest where first prize is an HDTV and he starts showing her affection and she
- 44:25gets turned on by this. He's just like, ooh, I love you.
- 44:28Then three weeks later, um, what the fuck was this? Oh
- 44:31my after forty years, my collections complete or whatever of family circus, family
- 44:37Circus cartoons, so what he's been cutting them out for goodness knows how long?
- 44:40And this like this sucks and throws it away. It's like, what
- 44:45the hell happened there? That is the definition of filla. This is the
- 44:51thing. He glues it even right, He glues into the page and then
- 44:55it shows the page. It on the page and it's been sticky taped.
- 45:00Oh I didn't see that. So he clues it past it in and then
- 45:04when they show you what he just did, it has tape on each four
- 45:07corner. Oh no, I just how does how does that get into an
- 45:13episode? Like, I just don't understand. That's a that's a mess.
- 45:16I just don't get it. But he gets a phone call from the competition.
- 45:20They said, oh no, no one wins first prize. You've won
- 45:22third prize or tour of the Fox Network and there will be no expenses paid.
- 45:25So then now arriving at Fox Studios, Botox is five dollars, says
- 45:29on the side of the wall number two and Prisoners for eighteen, Prisoners eighteen
- 45:32to forty nine. And this is where they make the best damned sports show
- 45:36period, the worst show period. I think it's Jody's World with David Spade.
- 45:40They love shitting on David's but I think everyone just love shitting on David's
- 45:43Spade, right, Yeah, which is he a nice great look. I've
- 45:46never seen anything where he comes across like a jerk. I don't know,
- 45:52No, I don't think that's the case. I mean, I think he's
- 45:54got that persona. I mean, apparently Eddie Murphy hated him because, okay,
- 45:59he made this gone weekend update on SNL where he was He pointed they
- 46:04had put up a bit of Eddie Murphy when Eddie Murphy's movies were tanking Little
- 46:07Kids a Falling Star, and Eddie Mophies like fucked his game. This guy
- 46:14for Live Yeah, but yeah, I mean he was kind of like Chris
- 46:19Farley's Rob Schneider wasn't he he was? Yeah, yeah, I mean he
- 46:23tried to have it. He had a couple of movies where he was the
- 46:25start. There was Joe Dirt, which I never watched, Yeah, and
- 46:29Joe Dit Too, which I also never watched. I remember Joe Dirt one
- 46:32being quite popular when it came out. Yeah, well, clearly and made
- 46:37a sequel. And he made one called Diggy Roberts Former Child Star, which
- 46:39I think was not that great. A romantic comedy called Lost and Found.
- 46:44Um. Also, I don't think i've ever seen that peak is him in
- 46:50um just shoot me? He was very good in that. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:53yeah, I mean suited to his talents, absolutely apparently a real ladies
- 46:58man, like he dated like some incredibly hot women. Okay, and then
- 47:05I mean you look at David Spain's like, okay again, come tall as
- 47:09tall as a duck, but hung like a donkey. Maybe. Oh wait,
- 47:15look there's damn cast Lanetta from the Tracy Elman shoel Hey, funny man,
- 47:21something funny. Please don't lean out of the tram, sir, you
- 47:24might get hurt. A bit interaction here with him, Homer and Dan Castle
- 47:31Netta, which I'm assuming Dad would have got a kick out of sort of
- 47:34engage with himself. Yeah, but another jet that doesn't really go anywhere.
- 47:37It was good hearing someone else say it so now, and then I just
- 47:40kept repeating, and I thought I nearly said it wrong again. I was
- 47:44like castel Netta, Castelletta, Cattelletta. We will never get it wrong again,
- 47:49I promise, kind of like garage and garage not a guarantee, not
- 47:53a guarantee. They go through the various reality shows which ibrow raising in twenty
- 47:59twenty three. One was Midgets Versus Dwarves or Michet or Dwarf Midget America decide,
- 48:05Yeah, it's like, no, I don't know about that, but
- 48:07it's funny given the you know, we just spent like ten minutes talking about
- 48:13fun and they've got a million dollars fart off. Yeah, we'd watch that,
- 48:17we'd watch we would and maybe a pair. Yes. Then they see
- 48:22the Mother's Mother Flippers cast and call says there's already one of those on another
- 48:27network and gives her an ABC sweatshirt, then locks her in the holding pen
- 48:30for American Idol, which we're just discussing recently as well. There's sort of
- 48:34two jabs at American Odol. Here is Ryan Seacrest and American Idol. But
- 48:37Homer signs them up after hearing that the first prize is enough to buy an
- 48:39HDTV and marshes, well, that's very interesting or could damage many many lives.
- 48:45And they talk her and drew it as well, and we get her
- 48:47trying to say I'll do it. And Julie Kavno did well with this.
- 48:52She did, indeed, but a lot like I was trying to say garage
- 48:54or garage. I didn't realize so many ways you could say I'll do it.
- 48:57But she somehow found a way. She found it multiple variation. She
- 49:00was the multiverse of madness with that ship. Yeah, let me come back
- 49:04from commercial and the heath bars that is randomly at the Simpson's house. Now
- 49:07they brought them all the way for all the way from the UK? Is
- 49:09that how this show worked? I'm pretty sure the family didn't meet each other
- 49:12until the end. Did they come from the UK or somewhere else in America?
- 49:19From Connecticut or something? Oh? It was assumed. Okay, yeah,
- 49:23because they say, what's the Nate state? Which one is that?
- 49:27What is the Nutmes state? Let's look it up. That makes stain.
- 49:30That makes smell about Connecticut. Yeah, the Nutmes state. Okay, that
- 49:35makes more sense. Yeah, oh yeah, because she's at Yale, which
- 49:37is in Connects of course. Yeah. I just I just assumed UK because
- 49:39it's Ricky Gervase, Okay. And also another shot at Yale, yes of
- 49:45course. Yeah, they even know most of them are from there, all
- 49:47went to there. Yeah, yeah, so they're they're meeting the Simpsons family.
- 49:52Verdi says that she was the youngest fool professor at Yale. As you
- 49:54were just saying, Homer and Bart just moon everybody just yeah, go directly
- 50:00into ugly American mode or just you know, thir a dipshit mode. Yeah,
- 50:04there pixels in the world. Then he Hammet meets Charles, and Charles
- 50:09Ricky just sort of does his usual stick and I bet the twist is that
- 50:13he's gay, and Lisa pleads with Homer, you know, can you please
- 50:16not do this is gonna be embarrassing TV. But Lisa TV TV SA,
- 50:22Yeah, I didn't mind the diagram that he showed Charles. These are the
- 50:24various places of Marge you cannot touch. And I'm like the especially the hair
- 50:29line. But I'm like, I don't know about this. I'm always too
- 50:34much like property. True, I'm always curious about like shows about like wife
- 50:37Swap, though, I mean, I say this is a die hard view
- 50:40of ninety day fiance. Of course, these things are all rigged up and
- 50:44they're all set up. I mean they're not. There's some realism to it,
- 50:47but it's like everything. There's no way like someone's having an affair with
- 50:51the husband on those shows, like there's cameras epic where Yeah, I don't
- 50:55know. The best part though, is that that kid I've think we've talked
- 50:58about before in the podcast. Do you think she could walk in here a
- 51:01little har he heels that little hillbilly. You've seen that one. I think
- 51:07you've told me about it, and it is one of the greatest moments in
- 51:08the history of wife Swap. It's just so good. He's like, you
- 51:13can't have bacon. He's like, ah, bacon, you can't tell me
- 51:16I'm not having my bacon. He like runs away from home. It's it's
- 51:19so fucking funny. I'll send you lift that one as well. But but
- 51:22yeah, so he meets um Charles here Charles heath bar and he shows him
- 51:27the diagram and then he says he's gonna bit of an elbow thing, which
- 51:30I believe it was. Yeah, that is margest thing, isn't it that
- 51:34she likes nibbling the elbows? We learned that in Secrets of a Successful Marriage.
- 51:37Oh my gosh. Yeah, okay, Well, clearly a fan a
- 51:39bit of a callback, yep, And that would make home a concern because
- 51:44he knows much a little thing that she likes him nibbed on the elbow.
- 51:46Then we get Verity sleeping in margin Hummer's bed. I was like, oh.
- 51:51At first, I was like, wait, they' stopping at the same
- 51:52bed. I was like, at least Homer's moving walking out. She done
- 51:54this show because she wants to humiliate Charles, and she's not satisfied. But
- 51:59then we later on that she's got a pool boy and another lover, so
- 52:01she is satisfied, just not my Charles. She's like, it sort of
- 52:07doesn't jibe that, you know, she's gone through all these cruel, dusty
- 52:09years, when clearly she's you know, he's getting satisfied behind my various gents
- 52:15and later a lady. You know, you don't seem like the money hungry
- 52:20semi stripper who was usually unfucked. Why do you do it? Well?
- 52:23I thought there was no further way I go to humiliate my husband, and
- 52:27then this opportunity came along. I see, well I should be getting to
- 52:32the living room. You know, I despise my husband. Well he didn't
- 52:37get the price pig at the fair either. Charles hasn't satisfied me in years.
- 52:42Yeah, that's how I feel about Notre Dame football cruel dusty years.
- 52:47I don't know why I ever married dead woman? What does he say?
- 52:51I know why I ever married that woman or something like that. I'm just
- 52:52like, what is happening here? I didn't get that line. I mean,
- 52:54is he sort of talking is is he meant to be saying like,
- 52:59oh, I don't know why I married Verity? Homer is saying this when
- 53:02but he's not really married to very yet. But he's like, it doesn't
- 53:06Yeah, it just doesn't play all that well because he was saying that,
- 53:09you know, you're not a catch either, and she's going on and on
- 53:12and on, and I didn't know whether they were trying to say as you're
- 53:14saying that he's now turning, he's now thinking like her. Now she's thinking
- 53:17about margin the same way that she thinks about Charles. But I don't think
- 53:21so. No, I think it's more like, how do I get married
- 53:23to this one when he's not really married at this woman except just under the
- 53:27guise of mother Flippers or whatever it's called. And then the rest of the
- 53:30episode is just a Ricky Gervay's showcase, isn't it. It really is.
- 53:34It's him just I mean, him just talking about how he manages his offers.
- 53:37Like remember he's on that show of the offers, that that show that
- 53:39you're liked, you know, all the stuff about Oh, no, choose
- 53:44the but I do choose the committee. Oh we'll not really, no,
- 53:45but it choose where they meet. Yeah, I mean his rhythms are so
- 53:50specific that they only work in stuff that he kind of designs. Yeah,
- 53:54the contrast translate to other things, the contrast between SIPs, his humor and
- 53:59that it's just so start that it's just it doesn't blend well together, as
- 54:01we're saying at the start here. But yeah, or just about anything,
- 54:06because I mean, they, of course was popular, and they he headlined
- 54:08a couple of movies in Hollywood. I mean, let's say, I don't
- 54:12think that I don't think either did all that well. He did one called
- 54:15ghost Town with Guy's major crush tay Leone, and oh yeah, she's fantastic.
- 54:22Get on the Simpsons, and I remember thinking that this isn't bad,
- 54:28but at the same time, this would be so much better with someone else
- 54:31in it. Yep, you're not bad in it, but this movie with
- 54:36a better without you win it. At the same time, there are certain
- 54:38things that Ricky Debyz does that no one else can do, but they have
- 54:42to be in his particular playground. And yeah, and The Simpsons is not
- 54:45their playground. To the HUMANU waste what he does, particularly stuff on the
- 54:50office, and that he doesn't get that love and gratification that he's looking for
- 54:53right when Marge gets it to his straight away. It's like that goes against
- 54:58what makes his stuff funny, you know, it's sort of like an ironic
- 55:02Oh, he's actually getting the love that he's always wanted. But then yeah,
- 55:06it does not even love, just acceptance just yeah, you know,
- 55:09yeah, it's a good representation of Marge two. She just accepts the bare
- 55:14minimum as enough. That's what we loved it about her as well. But
- 55:19I don't know, but I mean, don't get me wrong. I think
- 55:21managing your own office that's impressive. That's that's nothing to be not proud of,
- 55:25you know. And I couldn't do it. No, I couldn't do
- 55:28it either. So um so, like I mean, Nicolas, she manages
- 55:30an office and I'm just like fucking she's getting goals, but I can barely
- 55:34manage my own ship. So Charles, what do you do for eleven?
- 55:38Well? I'm an office manager. And no, I didn't even get a
- 55:43promotion today. Again, so go on, go ahead, disembound me with
- 55:46your pointy, pointy words. Really you'll manage a whole office? Yes,
- 55:54yes, yes I do. Actually, well that's very impressive. Does that
- 56:00include the people and the furniture? Yeah? And I decide where the Christmas
- 56:05part is held. Actually it's decided by committee. But you know I choose
- 56:07the committee. Hello, I don't. I don't. I don't choose the
- 56:15committee as such, but you know I choose where they meet this year,
- 56:19I am thinking of conference room C. Who that leaves am B available for
- 56:24overflow? Well done, Verity tells Bart no TV and too you do the
- 56:29dishes and sounds sort of Helper and Maggie you're doing the dishes there, and
- 56:32Bart brings up that Mum always says, why bother punishing me? I never
- 56:36learned. I was like, that doesn't seem like a margin, it seems
- 56:37like a home a line. Yeah. I can't imagine Marge of saying missus
- 56:43line. Yeah, I can't imagine Marge ever saying that. Marge is always
- 56:45persistent trying to make Bart a better child. Yeah, yeah, I mean
- 56:49you said recently in a previous episode, there was a bit where they're talking
- 56:54about, oh yeah, it's like when Bart was playing soccer or playing sports.
- 57:00You know, we just thought he sucked or something, and then he
- 57:01cut the Bart crying yeah, And I mean you were really sort of up
- 57:04in arms with it. It's like that it's not something the Marge would do
- 57:06that kind of sucks. Yeah. This, yeah, this feels like they
- 57:09took six different jigsaws and threw them all into the one box and all the
- 57:13pieces and just don't fit, not at all. No, So now the
- 57:15family reading at their reports, she's making them do the reports on what they've
- 57:20watched on TV, and she makes Homer do see us I Miami. And
- 57:22this was just Dan just being able to just be dumb, Homer saying,
- 57:27and I watched this, and then this happened, and then I woke up
- 57:30and Letterman was talking to Alias. I mean, I always enjoy those,
- 57:32but when he watched Wife Swap, it was very obvious they always had their
- 57:37idea of who they wanted to be portrayed as the mean mum and that,
- 57:42Oh man, I wish you and my mum, Like there's always there's always
- 57:45a contrast like that. And obviously Verity here is the mean mum making them
- 57:49do all these reports and everything. But then Charles's son Ben, he plays
- 57:52the does he plays. He's really good at it. I can't remember.
- 57:54I forgot. I just remember he was doing Chinese or something. Yes,
- 57:58you know, he's a He's apt or some kind. And then this is
- 58:00where Charles tells Marge the joke about murdering your wife. And I liked the
- 58:06joke, but just margin interrupting it all the time, just killed the flow
- 58:08of it, Like as a joke, I'm like, this works. It's
- 58:13a good bad taste joke. Yeah, that kind of. Either it's a
- 58:16roddy danger for it works because you recognize the bad taste or you if you
- 58:22like it because you've got no soul and yeah, it's just mean tonguing sheet.
- 58:25But Marge takes it literally. Of course that sound terrible, and I'm
- 58:29like, well, shut up much. You're a born story. So I
- 58:34was like, more like boring story. Adell. Hey, she wants to
- 58:37hear another joke, so she goes off to make a cup of tea,
- 58:38I believe, or it goes to do something first, and then he chose
- 58:42to the camera says one more kind word, and I'm going to be completely
- 58:44smitten, and she says, I think it waffles. The toaster takes bagels,
- 58:46takes bagels. That's right, And then there it is. We come
- 58:50back from commercial once again, and Verity is now burning all the home.
- 58:52This is this was so randomly scene. He I smell something good, I'm
- 58:57burning or your underwear. Oh, and that's it. That's that. That
- 59:00is actually like the last we see I've varied in home together. Oh my
- 59:05god, that's it. I just don't understand what's going on here. But
- 59:09Marge, it is the thing. Why do you waste so much time at
- 59:13Lenny's house with the TV when you could have had more Ricky Gervais and flashing
- 59:16at that story, you know, yeah, yeah, silly. Maybe they
- 59:20were like, well, oh like the Simpsons, I want to spend times
- 59:22in the Simpsons universe, and you know, give give some time to my
- 59:24favorite characters. Well, you know, play around with it in the sand
- 59:28box with my favorite characters. Maybe. But Marge arrives home from shopping and
- 59:31Charles is there in his kimono. He sent Ben with the housekeeper who's out
- 59:35having a drink and she's depressed, and then he plays Margie's song. Did
- 59:39I tell you I'm a bit of a songwriter words and music? Hold the
- 59:43applause. I wrote this song for a woman was not interested in me to
- 59:50do yes, not interested. Let me just breathe your scent for a moment
- 59:53before I play. Lady, when you came to me, I was feeling
- 1:00:09blue, blue, just like your hair. You see blue, just like
- 1:00:15the moon, but only when the moon is blue and not when it is
- 1:00:21creaming. And now that you are here with me, I am in a
- 1:00:27dream. Oh yeah, much, Your dreams can't come true, lady.
- 1:00:34When you go away, I feel like I could die, not like die
- 1:00:39like your hair is died, but die like lady die, and not like
- 1:00:45die like her name is die but die like when she died. Oh but
- 1:00:54lady just like Lady die, but my princess to night, but don't die,
- 1:01:01don't die. I don't think even in twenty two thousand and six people
- 1:01:06were ready to make jokes because to stop being dead or not. I think
- 1:01:09in twenty twenty three people still like it's just one of those things. It's
- 1:01:13one of those deaths that you just never touch from a comedian perspectively, not.
- 1:01:16I just don't think anyone's like it'll always be too soon. I think
- 1:01:20with Lady Dies again, I think it's it's very much a David Brent from
- 1:01:23the Office thing who viewed himselves as, you know, like a frustrated musician
- 1:01:27who was always breaking out the guitar with chance he got, except his songs
- 1:01:30were always shite. And yeah again this is just a David Brent bit done
- 1:01:35by Charles what's his name, heath Bar heath Bar. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:39so that's all it is. It's just it's Ricky Gervais's greatest hits whatever,
- 1:01:45but just didn't work for me. I mean, the song is fine,
- 1:01:46but he confesses his love ear to Marge and she says, no, I
- 1:01:51can't you know it's not gonna work. You know, I've got Homeer and
- 1:01:53he'll do anything for my love, but it never kills him. And I'm
- 1:01:55just like, I swear the whole purpose of your marriage these days is the
- 1:01:59point of how bad home Rus his husband. But anyway, yeah, you
- 1:02:01keep saying how good he is, despite yeah, us seeing how bad he
- 1:02:05is. Haven't he left him three seasons at three episodes already this season seems
- 1:02:08that way. Yeah, yeah, you're you're You're constantly throwing him out of
- 1:02:12the house, So what are you going on about here? But then Lisa
- 1:02:15randomly arrives because Fox flew her there on the Frito Lays air force. Yum,
- 1:02:19did Freto sponsored this episode or something like why what? Why they sent
- 1:02:22Lisa to come get you? Why? Why? I don't know. I
- 1:02:25think it's just Ricky probably saying, oh something about Fox's vulgar commercialism and all
- 1:02:32that kind of stuff. Okay, I guess he says he's going to tag
- 1:02:39along as well so he can tell his wife he's gonna leave her. And
- 1:02:42I'm like, you couldn't just wait to go back? Maybe who knows?
- 1:02:45And then Charles does a Trump impression which fell flat again. Yeah, because
- 1:02:52he had to tell us it was drump because I didn't know it. Yeah,
- 1:02:53under that is the joke that was that's meant to be that he thought
- 1:02:57it was good when it wasn't good. But I don't know this. Yeah,
- 1:03:00this episode is not not very good. I'm struggling to find anything positive
- 1:03:05in it. Really, I'm sorry. Yeah, the end, and then
- 1:03:07Homers by himself. He's his time to let Homer be Homer. So he
- 1:03:09rips off his pants and he's got pizza struck to his leg for whatever reason,
- 1:03:14and she Marge arrives home and again the first thing Homer says is,
- 1:03:21Oh, she made me spend time with the kids. Can you decide whether
- 1:03:25he wanted to be a good guy, a good father, or a bad
- 1:03:28father? Like you just told this guy that you know he'll do anything for
- 1:03:30her marriage might love and he loves his family, and then you get home
- 1:03:34with the first thing he says is, she's horrible because she made me spend
- 1:03:36time with the kids. Right, okay, because he is not married with
- 1:03:38Children's it's weird. It's a weird thing. It's it's it's it's the inconsistency
- 1:03:44with the Homer character that seems more puzzling. Nounced that some episodes when it
- 1:03:46needs when's required for the story. Homer is a good dad and a good
- 1:03:49husband, but most of the time he's just so unlikable. It's it's weird.
- 1:03:54But Charles says he's looking for Verity. He's going to tell him that
- 1:03:59he's leaving her, and she's gone, she's getting hit the curb. And
- 1:04:01then she is um. They're saying she's leaving him because she's now dating Patty.
- 1:04:05And we get Homer making the joke about not voting for thirty eight so
- 1:04:10that they can't adopt the child. You're making him even more unlikable. What
- 1:04:15has happened? Yeah, Homer not liking Patty's one thing, but Homer making
- 1:04:18it a bigot. Yeah, just I don't know. Then Homer is playing
- 1:04:24the song, which you think is for Marge, but he's serenading the television
- 1:04:28and says, oh, Marge, you're pretty great too, and she says,
- 1:04:30yeah, sure whatever, closes her eyes and goes asleep, and and
- 1:04:32we wish we could do the same. They're still a little bit more over.
- 1:04:35The closing chrits just Ricky vamping on the guitar. Yeah, and just
- 1:04:40riffing over the credits for no reason at all. Just yeah, this was
- 1:04:44This was not a good episode. Not good. No, sir, I
- 1:04:46did not like it. I'm interested in if there's huge Ricky Gervais fans out
- 1:04:50there, let us know, sipsmail bag at gmail dot com. Did you
- 1:04:55enjoy this episode because I don't know. I don't dislike him, but I
- 1:05:00just felt like his brand mixed into the Simpsons universe just did not blend.
- 1:05:03Well, that's exactly right. Yeah, I mean the Ricky Gervaise slash David
- 1:05:10Brent, because that's what he's doing here. Yeah, that stuff is pretty
- 1:05:14good as far as that stuff goes. But it's just such an awkward fit
- 1:05:16in this episode, in this episode, in the Simpsons universe, it doesn't
- 1:05:19work. It should never have happened, but it did, and we talked
- 1:05:26about it. But now we're done talking about it. Dan though, And
- 1:05:28the thing is, they even like they didn't just try and have the character
- 1:05:31betray Ricky Jervais on the office. They even drew him to look like Ricky
- 1:05:34Jervaise. Yeah, Like, if you're gonna do that just having be Ricky
- 1:05:38Jervais, I don't know. What do we learn, Palmer? What'd you
- 1:05:42learn in the episode? Mister Davis? But certain jokes from fifteen or so
- 1:05:47years ago regarding little people don't really fly in twenty twenty three, and to
- 1:05:53be honest, probably didn't really fly in two thousand and six. Yes,
- 1:05:56they flew, but they shouldn't have. I learned that never send the kids
- 1:06:03out with the housekeeper. What was that bit? I don't know was that?
- 1:06:06What was that? I just and it's like about this episode, there's
- 1:06:12seventy moments, but you could have said that, what was this bit that
- 1:06:15you got? The letter? The comic at home is like the collection of
- 1:06:18the comics that he's pasted in the book. What was that even about Kyle
- 1:06:21dancing and then leaving the party because he's got work tomorrow? What's that about?
- 1:06:26To quote Ricky Gervais in this episode, no logic not to know forward
- 1:06:30your name droby? All right? So for the Guy Davis New Name Championship,
- 1:06:34the current leaderboard stands at this in first position we have Luke McKay on
- 1:06:39twelve points, Kyle m I'll done on nine points, and in third position
- 1:06:43we have Adam Willhouse on eight points. Hit me, mister Davis, what
- 1:06:45have we got? One point goes to Verity is the spice of wife.
- 1:06:50Oh, that's a very good one. That one goes to Luke McKay with
- 1:06:55the one point. This week, Luke's finally got some points. He's missed
- 1:06:57out the last couple, but he's now on the big thirteen points. All
- 1:07:00right, who's got two? Nice one? Um, Look, the timing
- 1:07:03is off for this one because this episode happened far before the movie that this
- 1:07:10title is sort of ripping on. But wives out, wives out, and
- 1:07:14they're not bad. Indeed, that is Adam Adam Woolhouse once again with two
- 1:07:16points or Adam's crow and that leader board. I think he's in second position
- 1:07:20now wool House, yes, all right and the three points three points four
- 1:07:26high infidelity, Well played. Garrod harrow Hill, the King is backroid Gorod
- 1:07:32is back. Yes, so Gorod with the three points there that puts Garrode
- 1:07:38in equal third position with clever Kyle on nine points. Adam Moorehouse outright second
- 1:07:42on ten points and in first position with three points clear of second. Is
- 1:07:46Luke McKay's done it again. Nice work, folks, Nice working. Indeed,
- 1:07:49if you want to be part of the Guy Davis New End Championship.
- 1:07:51You've just got to be a four figured discount page and be part of the
- 1:07:56exclusive Facebook group. All right with Davis, it's our time for some mail
- 1:07:59back question mail bank debail Here. First question here comes from Mark Boston purchase.
- 1:08:09What is your favorite Gervais moment slash program slash We're pretty much sure had
- 1:08:12to cover that we have. Yeah, I mean, like I said,
- 1:08:15I really dug him on that Alias episode. I thought it was very good.
- 1:08:18There's a lot I like in the Office. I didn't appreciate the efforts
- 1:08:23to sort of string it out a bit. He made a movie called David
- 1:08:26Brent Life on the Road many years after The Office finished. It was like
- 1:08:32trying a bit too hard. Although he will occasionally surprise you. I mean,
- 1:08:36he did the show called Derek in which he played a mentally challenged fella
- 1:08:41essentially, which is like you almost want to say, you know, you
- 1:08:45want to be Robert Dandy Junior in Tropic Funder and don't go for our word,
- 1:08:48but he does. But at the same time, I watched an episode
- 1:08:51or two of it and almost found myself in tears to the end because like
- 1:08:55a lot of the message was really sweet and and very heartfelt, and I
- 1:08:59think he he's good in in that way. But sometimes he's delivery vehicle is
- 1:09:04a little bit wobbly, shall we say, But oh, he's got some
- 1:09:10good stuff to him. Andrew JP says, what's your favorite type of Cimpsons
- 1:09:15celebrity cameo? Meta and sulf For West celebrities playing fictional versions of themselves or
- 1:09:18immersing themselves into original characters, I prefer guest stars where you pretty much can't
- 1:09:24tell it's them and you've just so absorbed in this new create our character that
- 1:09:29the bandaged to create. Look, that's a really good point. I think
- 1:09:30it also just depends on the person doing it. I mean one of my
- 1:09:34favorites is Edward Norton, just purely for that line when he comes to the
- 1:09:39court and you know, talk about I'm a triple threat. I think I
- 1:09:42just love that as you as you can doubt um or you know, William
- 1:09:45Dafarre. I mean, these guys are character actors. They can just naturally
- 1:09:48sort of sink into any role. But I really dug it when Mel Gibson
- 1:09:51played Mel Gibson, I thought that was fantastic. When handle correctly. Yeah,
- 1:09:55when the writing handle quickly. And of course one of my favorite all
- 1:09:59time Sinceons it is just Ron Howard holding up the Saxon money at the end.
- 1:10:01How would you if that it again? It's so great. I just
- 1:10:06love that so much. I'm gonna say what comes to the episode with Alec
- 1:10:10Bourbur and Michelle Base Kim Bassengassenger? Yeah or base and yeah, actually how
- 1:10:18to pronounce her name? But that's a good one as well. Yeah,
- 1:10:20but Baldwin plays Ballwin and that one right, but then Baldwin plays the ocean
- 1:10:25ocean guy in a later you're right, yeah, yeah, so he saw
- 1:10:30he does both. So I'm sorry who asked this question. This is JP
- 1:10:32GP Andrew JP. My Baldi is for making myself very comfortable on the fence
- 1:10:38here by sitting on it and saying I like it both ways. I could
- 1:10:42like it both ways. Sounds like your chairs enjoying it too. It's very
- 1:10:45noisy your chair today. I think it's someone to invest into. Sounds like
- 1:10:49if I could sitting on the old KP seat from nineteen eighty seven. It's
- 1:10:54like, please get off me. This really hurts me. I'm like,
- 1:10:59what the fuck is that? Sound well that that was. That's because I
- 1:11:01was wriggling my butt to emphasize a point. Yes, Andrew sit very still
- 1:11:09from now. Andrew Swan says, guy might have mentioned it before. But
- 1:11:12besides ninety Day Fiance, what other trashy reality shows does he have a guilty
- 1:11:15pleasure in indulging? Well, let's see, there's ninety Day the other the
- 1:11:19other way is ninety Day Fiance. Happily ever after question Mark, there's the
- 1:11:30it's the ninety day universe. It's I don't need to watch anything else.
- 1:11:34There are so many very ages intertwining any way, like people from various seasons
- 1:11:39meet each other at any point or oh yeah, they've I think when it
- 1:11:44started it used to be the case it's like we're going to follow you know,
- 1:11:46this couple as they go through this you know, ninety day tribulation process
- 1:11:50or whatever. And then some people on it became like such characters. There's
- 1:11:57like we're going to follow them on their search for Okay, before the before
- 1:12:04the shows dominated television, the big ones were always Big Brother, of course,
- 1:12:10but do you remember obviously you know, survivors still going, but remember
- 1:12:12our big survivor was that was so one was huge. That was a massive
- 1:12:15But do you remember the one that I used to love them most? Um?
- 1:12:19It was kind of like our version of The Amazing Race kind of,
- 1:12:21but it was The Mole. Remember the Mowl? Yeah? Oh yeah yeah.
- 1:12:26On the Mole, it was like there was one person on the show.
- 1:12:28It's like that person's infiltrated everything like that, everything up for the inside.
- 1:12:33There was a show that started at all called The House from Hell and
- 1:12:36ed on Channel ten the other want to say, like ninety eight, and
- 1:12:39it was a bunch of just basically just get a bunch of like young early
- 1:12:43twenty somethings throwing in the house and just film it. And it was Shenanigans,
- 1:12:45but it was it was before Big Brother was the thing, and it
- 1:12:47was so cool at the time. Was it like an Australian version like mptv's
- 1:12:53in the real world exactly what it was? The House from Hell? Ye?
- 1:12:56Okay, God, I can't remember that one. But it's funny that
- 1:13:00Andrew asked this question of name check ninety days because uh, years ago makes
- 1:13:05one clearly there's a pattern for me here. But we were really in a
- 1:13:10shrug called Temptation Island, remember that, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:14where Yeah. You basically put a whole bunch of hot people on an
- 1:13:16island and you know they're meant to me a couple. But wait a minute,
- 1:13:19what has been tempted? Three women finding the guys love and then there's
- 1:13:26a tray of cheeseburgers. Sorry, that is my heart belongs to Mayor McGee.
- 1:13:38Now i'd be the little girl from the from the air, From the
- 1:13:42air. Can't we have both? And then things get really sexy? No,
- 1:13:46no, it's like, no, guy, you must choose one.
- 1:13:53Fare well that is anyway, the way to this man is through a stomach,
- 1:14:02like, we're not gonna gonna fuck this guy talking like John Lovets.
- 1:14:06Anyway you can have the hello, let it. I wonder how well you
- 1:14:13can go through life just talking like love. It's right, just just constantly
- 1:14:16just talk like love. Its how long you could keep the stick up and
- 1:14:19people just accept it, or if you can make more friends by being John
- 1:14:24Lovetts like, thank you for greeting me. I hope you're having a great
- 1:14:33day, can you do? I was looking online. I saw that you
- 1:14:38sell fled and put the jama nikolo. Where's the Flybys car? Have you
- 1:14:46got a size seven? Do you match prices? Target? Has it even
- 1:14:56jib? We've us lost so many who subscribes. We to just do I
- 1:15:01Love its podcast? Okay, we'll put a pole up on the Facebook or
