  Speaker 2: Have you ever seen someone learn about Jesus because of

  Speaker 2: your witness and your example? There is nothing like it.

  Speaker 2: Miss Katie met a woman at the park one day

  Speaker 2: and they started talking and exchanged phone numbers. Their kids

  Speaker 2: were about the same age and they hit it off.

  Speaker 2: They started doing things together and talking about Jesus too.

  Speaker 2: The woman was interested in learning more about what Miss

  Speaker 2: Katie believed about the Bible. It wasn't overnight, but soon

  Speaker 2: the lady and her family started attending church and studying
• 0:57
  Speaker 2: the Bible. And now their family loves Jesus and follows him.

  Speaker 2: This is what this song is talking about. rejoicing as

  Speaker 2: we bring people to Jesus.

  Speaker 3: Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness, sowing in

  Speaker 3: the noontide and the dewy eve. Waiting for the harvest

  Speaker 3: and the time of reaping, we shall come rejoicing, bringing

  Speaker 1: Hey, boys and girls, do you remember our story yesterday?

  Speaker 1: Jesus had just given life back to someone who had died.

  Speaker 1: And for a little while, everyone had stood perfectly still

  Speaker 1: and stared at what was happening. I'm sure they were
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: in complete shock. They had never seen Jesus raise somebody
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: to life before. They had heard stories of like Elisha
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: and Elijah raising people to life, but not Jesus. It
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: was as if they couldn't believe their eyes. But then...
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: They realized that it was true. Jesus had actually made
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: a dead person alive again. So what did they say?
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: Let's turn in our Bibles to Luke chapter 7, verse 16.

  Speaker 1: Luke chapter 7, Matthew, Mark, Luke, chapter 7, verse 16.

  Speaker 1: Luke chapter 7, verse 16. What were the people saying?

  Speaker 5: God has visited his people.

  Speaker 1: They glorified God and said that there is a great prophet.

  Speaker 1: They realized, wait a second, people who have done this

  Speaker 1: have been really great prophets in our past, so that
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: must be who Jesus is. Do you think that that
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: kind of news traveled really fast? One person told another, hey,
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: did you hear? And another person told another, Oh, did
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: you hear what happened in Nain and Jesus and this
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: crowd of people? And then another person told another.
• 4:21
  Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
• 4:23
  Speaker 5: No way. Are you serious?
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: Who's? Oh, wow. That's amazing. Look at verse 17.

  Speaker 5: And this report about him went throughout all Judea and
• 4:35
  Speaker 5: all the surrounding region.
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: It was like wildfire. Have you ever seen a wildfire?
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: It starts burning and it starts kind of small, but
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: then it burns more and more and it can move
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: really fast. In fact, if the wind starts to blow,
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: it blows the embers and the flaming bits of wood
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: or leaves up ahead of the fire and it can
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: start fires a half a mile ahead of where the
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: main fire is. It goes fast. That's what was happening here.

  Speaker 1: People were sharing the message quickly. It was no secret.
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: The report was spreading really quickly, kind of like a wildfire.
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: Who do you think was not happy about what Jesus did? Well,
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: Satan wasn't happy, right? And also the priests and the
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: rulers were not happy either. They were refusing to believe
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: that Jesus was the true Messiah. They had been choosing
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: to follow Satan. And that made it easy for them
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: to refuse to believe in Jesus. The young man who
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: was raised to life and all the other people who
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: were there that day, except Jesus, they're all dead, right? Yeah,
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: today they're all dead and gone. But each and every
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: one of them who chose to trust and follow Jesus,
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: will they be alive again soon when Jesus comes? Yeah,
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: they will. The same loving heavenly father of Jesus, is
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: also our father. And he can save us in his
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: kingdom too. Let's turn to Colossians. This might be a
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: little more challenging to find. Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians chapter one.

  Speaker 1: So it's after first and second Corinthians, after Acts, after Romans,
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: it's there in the New Testament. Colossians chapter one. Verses
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: 13 and 14. Colossians chapter 1, verse 13 and 14.

  Speaker 1: Colossians chapter 1, verse 13 and 14. What does this

  Speaker 1: say about the power that Jesus has?

  Speaker 5: He has delivered us from the power of darkness and
• 6:53
  Speaker 5: conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
• 6:56
  Speaker 5: in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness
• 7:00
  Speaker 5: of sins.

  Speaker 1: He has the power to deliver us, right? And to
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: take us to his kingdom. Isn't that wonderful? Always remember,
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: boys and girls, that Jesus loves each of us so
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: much that he gladly became one of us, our real
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: human brother. He lived just like we live. He died
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: for us so that we can be saved. And even
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: if we die before he comes, He will make us
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: alive again and take us to live with him in
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: heaven forever. Isn't that wonderful? Of course, we can't help
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: feeling very sad when someone we love dies. But we
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: don't have to be sad like people who don't know Jesus.
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: Because we have a hope. We know that Jesus is
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: coming back. He will wake up everyone who has chosen
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: to love and trust him. In fact, he gives us
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: a promise. We're going to look at it. In 1
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 16, 17, and 18. I love
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: this promise. 1 Thessalonians. It's in the New Testament. It's
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: before Hebrews. It's in the middle of the T's. You
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: have 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus.

  Speaker 1: This is Thessalonians. 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, and then verse 16, 17,
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: and 18. 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 16, 17, and 18.

  Speaker 1: Here's what it says.

  Speaker 5: For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout,

  Speaker 5: with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet

  Speaker 5: of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

  Speaker 5: Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught
• 8:51
  Speaker 5: up together with them in the clouds to meet the

  Speaker 5: Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be

  Speaker 5: with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.

  Speaker 1: Isn't that a beautiful promise? That we are going to

  Speaker 1: be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

  Speaker 1: God is going to raise us from the dead if

  Speaker 1: we have died. And we have the promise that we

  Speaker 1: will go and live with him forever. And the Bible

  Speaker 1: even says, comfort each other with these words. That means

  Speaker 1: that take hope, take courage, even in your sadness. Know
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: that this is not the end. Isn't that a beautiful promise?

  Speaker 1: Let's thank Jesus for it. Dear Lord, thank you so

  Speaker 1: much that you've promised that when you come again, those
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: who are dead will rise first and that we will
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: get to be caught up together and join you in
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: the air. And thus we will always be with the Lord.

  Speaker 1: We look forward to that day. Help us to be
