• 0:58
Speaker 1: What makes HIN stand out academically?
• 1:02
Speaker 1: So first, let's talk about studying at HIN.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: As a University of Applied Sciences, HIN is all about combining theory with practice.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: Instead of just listening to lectures, you work on case studies, group projects and real-world applications that connect what you learn to business and technology.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: Many professors here have worked in industry before, so they bring a lot of real experience and examples into their teaching.
• 1:25
Speaker 1: that makes learning much more relevant and interesting.
• 1:29
Speaker 0: Yeah, and that's what I really like.
• 1:30
Speaker 0: It's not only about memorizing theory, it's about understanding how to use it.
• 1:35
Speaker 0: Professors often share projects from their own carriers and you can ask them about how things work in real companies.
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: Exactly.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: And for international students, the best part of the time offers a wide range of English thought programs.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: There's international business, international business and intercultural studies, applied artificial intelligence and software engineering, among others.
• 1:57
Speaker 0: That's great for students who don't speak German yet.
• 1:59
Speaker 0: You can study completely in English and still live in Germany, which is the best of both worlds.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: Yes, and if you do want to study in German later, there are also language courses and even double degree options with partner universities.
• 2:13
Speaker 1: that flexibility is one of high-end's biggest strengths.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Segment two, the international atmosphere.
• 2:19
Speaker 1: Now, let's talk about something that really defines high-end, the international atmosphere, even though Hybron isn't a big city at the campus fields global.
• 2:27
  Speaker 0: Definitely.
• 2:28
Speaker 0: In our program, there are students from so many different countries from all across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
• 2:36
Speaker 0: I think that's one of the best things about studying here.
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: It really is.
• 2:41
Speaker 1: Every group project feels like working in a small international team.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: You get to learn about other cultures or the ways of thinking and that's something that prepares you for global careers later.
• 2:50
Speaker 0: And the students here are really open-minded.
• 2:52
Speaker 0: People talk to each other easily.
• 2:55
Speaker 0: I've met so many friends just by sitting in the cafeteria or joining small study groups.
• 3:00
Speaker 1: Same here and high-end celebrates that diversity with events like the International Day.
• 3:06
Speaker 1: It's one of my favorites.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: Students from all over the world bring food, music and traditions from their countries.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: The world campus turns into a colorful mix of cultures.
• 3:15
  Speaker 0: Yeah, that's a fun day.
• 3:16
Speaker 0: You can travel around the world without leaving the campus.
• 3:19
  Speaker 0: That's
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: so true.
• 3:20
Speaker 1: It's a great example of how international high-end really is.
• 3:23
Speaker 1: Not just a name, but an everyday life.
• 3:26
Speaker 1: segment three, support for international students.
• 3:29
Speaker 1: Of course moving to another country can feel overwhelming at first, but her end makes the transition really smooth.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: The international office is there to support students before and after they arrive.
• 3:39
  Speaker 0: They help
• 3:40
Speaker 1: with applications, visa documents, accommodation tips and all the little things that can be confusing at the beginning.
• 3:46
Speaker 0: Yeah, they were super helpful when I was supplying and when the new students arrive.
• 3:51
Speaker 0: There's an orientation week with workshops, tours and meetups, so you don't feel lost when you start.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: Right, and HIN also runs a buddy program, where local students help international students settle in.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: Bodies help with things like finding a way around or registering in the city or buying your first train ticket.
• 4:10
Speaker 0: One of my friends told me his buddy even met him at the train station when he arrived.
• 4:15
Speaker 0: that made him feel really welcome.
• 4:17
Speaker 1: Okay, that's such a lovely example.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: Those mild gestures make a huge difference when you far from home.
• 4:24
Speaker 1: And of course, there are also German language courses offered by HAN.
• 4:27
Speaker 1: So even if your program is in English, you can start learning the language at your own pace.
• 4:32
Speaker 0: Yeah, and people here appreciate when you try.
• 4:34
Speaker 0: Even a few words in German can open doors.
• 4:37
Speaker 1: Exactly, and it helps you connect with locals much faster.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: So, what's life like in Taiwan?
• 4:46
Speaker 1: Honestly, it's such a nice city for students.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: It's big enough to have cafes, restaurants, shops and events, but small enough to feel personal and safe.
• 4:56
Speaker 1: Everything is within walking or biking distance, which makes student life easy and affordable.
• 5:01
Speaker 0: Yeah, and it's a very comfortable place to live.
• 5:03
Speaker 0: And I love that you can spend time by the Nekka River.
• 5:06
Speaker 0: It's perfect for studying outside or just relaxing with friends.
• 5:10
Speaker 1: Exactly and it's super easy to take day trips to Stuttgart, Heidelberg or even Frankfurt if you want to explore.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: Public transport is great and you can even use student discounts for travel.
• 5:21
Speaker 0: Plus living costs are much lower than in bigger cities like Munich or Berlin.
• 5:25
Speaker 0: That really helps when you're living on a student budget.
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: Absolutely.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: And Hybron is also growing fast.
• 5:31
Speaker 1: New innovation park, artificial intelligence, the EPI is being built here and it's already attracting tech companies, startups and researchers from all over Europe.
• 5:41
Speaker 0: Yeah, that's exciting for anyone interested in technology or business.
• 5:46
Speaker 0: There are more opportunities coming every year.
• 5:49
Speaker 1: Segment five, career opportunities.
• 5:52
Speaker 1: Speaking of opportunities, HIN is located in Baden-Württemberg, one of Germany's strongest business regions.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: This area is home to global companies like Audi, Bosch and SAP.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Plus many successful medium-sized businesses.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: That means there are tons of options for internships, projects and jobs during and after your studies.
• 6:12
Speaker 0: And because Haan is a University of Applied Sciences, internships are often part of the program.
• 6:18
Speaker 0: So you get experience before graduating.
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: Exactly.
• 6:22
Speaker 1: And if you need help, finding one high-end career service is there for you.
• 6:26
Speaker 1: They organize career fairs, workshops, inviting CVs and company visits.
• 6:31
Speaker 1: You can meet recruiters face-to-face and get real advice about your career path.
• 6:35
Speaker 0: I went to one of the career fairs last semester.
• 6:38
  Speaker 0: It was great.
• 6:39
Speaker 0: I talked to companies from this region and many of them are open to hiring international students.
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: That's true.
• 6:45
Speaker 1: And since so many companies here work globally, they value English-speaking students with international mindsets.
• 6:51
Speaker 1: So starting at high-end isn't just about your degree, it's also about building your future network.
• 7:00
Speaker 1: Now, let's talk about something really practical.
• 7:03
Speaker 1: How to apply and what you need to get accepted at high-end.
• 7:06
Speaker 1: If you're an international applicant, here's the basic process.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: First, you need to make sure your school diploma or university degree is recognized in Germany.
• 7:15
Speaker 1: That usually is done through the Center for International Students in Constance.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: The Student Colleague Constance, they check if your qualifications are equivalent to German ones.
• 7:26
Speaker 0: And if you come from countries like India, China or Vietnam, you'll need an APS certificate.
• 7:32
Speaker 0: It's like a pre-check for your documents before you apply.
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: Right.
• 7:37
Speaker 1: Then you will apply online through high-end application portal usually before July.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: fifteenth if you want to start in the winter semester.
• 7:44
Speaker 0: You'll need to upload your school certificate or degree certificate of recognition from Constance, proof of English prophecy like IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge, a short CV and sometimes proof of practical experience.
• 7:57
Speaker 0: It's also important to check if your program requires extra documents for example a motivation later or specific grades in certain subjects.
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: Exactly.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: And if your program is partly in German, you will also need proof of German language skills.
• 8:11
Speaker 1: Usually be one, no be two level.
• 8:13
Speaker 1: Once your documents are checked and accepted, you will get an admission letter from HAN.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: After that, you can apply for your student visa, arrange health insurance and prepare for arrival.
• 8:23
Speaker 0: And the international office sends every detailed instructions after admission.
• 8:28
Speaker 0: So don't worry, you won't be alone in the process.
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: That's true.
• 8:32
Speaker 1: They even help with finding accommodation and offer advice on things like opening a bank account or registering in Hebron.
• 8:39
Speaker 1: So the key takeaway, start early, read the requirements carefully and don't hesitate to ask an international office if you're unsure.
• 8:47
Speaker 1: They really do respond quickly and they're super helpful.
• 8:50
Speaker 1: Segment seven, our perspective.
• 8:53
Speaker 1: Looking back, I'd say high-end is the perfect mix of practical learning, international community and personal support.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: It's a place where you don't just study, you grow.
• 9:03
Speaker 0: Yeah, I feel the same.
• 9:04
Speaker 0: The classes are small so professor know you personally and because students come from everywhere you learn how to communicate across cultures.
• 9:12
Speaker 1: Exactly, it's not just a university, it's an experience that prepares you for life after graduation.
• 9:22
Speaker 1: So to wrap it up, if you're looking for a place to study abroad that combines practical education, strong career connections and a welcome international environment, Hybron University of Applied Sciences might be your perfect choice.
• 9:35
Speaker 0: Yeah, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to study in a place that feels like a community, not just a campus.
• 9:42
Speaker 1: You will find great people, great professors and plenty of opportunities to build your future.
• 9:47
Speaker 1: That's it for today's episode of The Haaren Podcast.
• 9:50
Speaker 1: Thanks so much for turning in.
• 9:53
Speaker 1: We hope this helped you understand what studying at HAN is really like and how you can become part of our community.
