- 0:05Hi, I'm Pete Smith. I've always been struck by this
- 0:08phrase. In Second Chronicles 33, verse
- 0:1013, he prayed to him and God was moved by his entreaty and heard
- 0:15his plea. This is in reference to a king
- 0:18of Judah called Menasi. He was captured and imprisoned
- 0:21by the Assyrians. In verse 12 we're told he
- 0:23besought the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before
- 0:27the God of his Father's. Here we see in a wonderful away
- 0:30the mercy of God as God's heart is touched by the pleading of
- 0:33this repentant king. In the same chapter, there's a
- 0:37double reference to his prayer in verses 18 and 19.
- 0:40His words are unrecorded, but it's noted that when Manassee
- 0:43sought God's salvation that he was hurt.
- 0:46Friend, I'm glad I can tell of a God who is very interested in
- 0:50individual souls and whose heart is touched by the repentant
- 0:54Sinner.
