- 3:14team is calling for fairness.
- 3:18Seven-time Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky and fellow American swimmers support stringent
- 3:24anti-doping policies.
- 3:26Ledecky emphasized the importance of rules being applied fairly and consistently worldwide.
- 3:33This comes after revelations that 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive for Tremtazidine,
- 3:40a band-heart drug, before the Tokyo Olympics, yet faced no punishment.
- 3:45The World Anti-Doping Agency accepted China's findings that the substance was unintentionally
- 3:51ingested.
- 3:53United States head men's coach Anthony Neste advocates for greater transparency to keep
- 3:59the sport clean and safe.
- 4:03In local sports, tonight, the Sox are at Fenway starting a three-game series with the U.S.
- 4:10with the Yanks.
- 4:13In top news, here is some promising news about Alzheimer's disease.
- 4:18Historically, Alzheimer's has perplexed doctors and scientists who struggle to understand
- 4:24its origins, progression, and treatment.
- 4:27However, recent scientific advancements are paving the way for breakthroughs in prevention,
- 4:33detection, and treatment.
- 4:35According to Heather E. Whitson, doctor and co-director of the Duke, and University of
- 4:40North Carolina, Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, these advancements could significantly
- 4:46impact the disease, which is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States.
- 4:52There is not much to be optimistic about in building stronger, more resilient brains.
- 4:58In business news, the launch of nine Ethereum exchange-traded funds this week marked a
- 5:05significant milestone.
- 5:08Approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, the funds drew a combined total
- 5:13of $107 million in inflows.
- 5:18BlackRock led with $266 million.
- 5:22However, Grayscale saw massive outflows of $484 million.
- 5:30Despite the initial success, Ethereum's price dipped 0.8% since trading began.
- 5:37Analysts attribute the smaller inflows compared to Bitcoin ETS to the SEC's ban on staking
- 5:43and Grayscale's 2.5% fee.
- 5:47In crypto movement, Bitcoin is just over $66,900.

- 6:51Let's talk science.
- 6:54Scientists have opened up a 3,000-year-old crocodile revealing extraordinary insights.
- 7:01Ancient Egyptians mummified these creatures in ceremonies dedicated to the crocodile god,
- 7:07Sobek.
- 7:09Using X-ray and CT scanning technologies, archaeologists at the University of Manchester
- 7:15explored the insides of a seven-foot crocodile kept at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
- 7:22Unlike human mummification, these crocodiles had their organs intact.
- 7:28Among the findings were gastrolytes and a bronze fishhook, suggesting the crocodile
- 7:33was intentionally caught for sacrifice.
- 7:36This non-invasive study preserves the specimen for future display, offering a glimpse into
- 7:42ancient sacrificial rituals.
- 7:45And in entertainment news, Bob Marley expert Roger Stephens has sold his extensive Rege
- 7:55archive, valued at up to $3 million, to Joseph Bogdanovic.
- 8:01The sale, for an undisclosed multimillion dollar sum, includes the largest collection
- 8:06of Marley artifacts in the world.
- 8:08Bobdanovic, a longtime friend of Stephens, plans to create a museum in Montego Bay to
- 8:15house the collection.
- 8:17Stephens' archive began in 1973 and includes rare items like a signed poster from Marley's
- 8:251978 concert.
- 8:27Stephens spent around $500,000 on this collection, which has been used by numerous authors and
- 8:33filmmakers for research.
- 8:35Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote of the day.
