- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty.
- 0:12Speaker 2: The president is doing exactly what he promised to do.
- 0:16Speaker 2: He does what he says, and he says what he does.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I mean, he walks the talk, or he talks the walk,
- 0:24Speaker 2: or he hey, i'll get it, I'll get it. It's
- 0:29Speaker 2: you know, the tip of the iceberg that monkeys are
- 0:32Speaker 2: in with barrels.
- 0:34Speaker 3: You know how that works.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And now Handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Here's Bill Handle.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Good morning everybody.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Oh, another Friday, May fifteenth, and here we go, end
- 0:49Speaker 2: of the week where most people are off except I
- 0:53Speaker 2: work tomorrow, and I think, oh, Neil works tomorrow.
- 0:58Speaker 3: But that's the you know, Cono is off.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Anne is off from this job.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. I still work over the weekend in
- 1:07Speaker 2: my afternoon job. That's true. So we we continue on
- 1:14Speaker 2: and you talk of retirement. No, it's in the future someplace.
- 1:19Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:19Speaker 3: The philosophy is, it's real simple. Here's what you do.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You wake up, you go to work, you retired, than
- 1:23Speaker 2: you die, and that's it.
- 1:25Speaker 3: That's the way I possibly do. If you didn't do
- 1:28Speaker 3: radio anymore, I don't you know, I do not sleep.
- 1:31Speaker 4: No, I wouldn't you still travel?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, not as much as I would. I mean, I'll
- 1:37Speaker 3: tell you what I would.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I would live in various countries a couple of months
- 1:41Speaker 2: of the year if I could.
- 1:44Speaker 5: You know what he'd do.
- 1:46Speaker 7: He could get up every morning and sit Lindsay down
- 1:48Speaker 7: and just talk to her for four hours straight.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. That's why. That's why she refuses to
- 1:54Speaker 2: listen to the show. She won't listen anymore. But it's
- 1:57Speaker 2: uh because she's had it. She says, I see you
- 2:00Speaker 2: all day. I'm not about to do it better. Of fact,
- 2:02Speaker 2: she looks at the show as a respite. She thinks
- 2:05Speaker 2: it's the best thing in the world. She's the biggest fan.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I have to stay on the show, all right. Good morning, Amy, morning,
- 2:13Speaker 2: Hi Bill, Hi Kono. There you are, oh a dressed
- 2:16Speaker 2: uniquely today. Yes, Billy, I am not a billy. I
- 2:19Speaker 2: am not a billy. I am not a billy. I
- 2:22Speaker 2: am not a Willie or I am not a billy
- 2:24Speaker 2: Bob I am there.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I am a William or I am a Bill.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Your Hawaiian shirts say otherwise.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yeah, my Hawaiian shirt says Route sixty six. Oh I
- 2:35Speaker 3: bought it was a costco.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yesterday, h usual and they have Hawaiian shirts, and so
- 2:41Speaker 2: I bought four different shirts.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Wow, they have a big boy.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I bought them.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Well, no, they're different, there are different patterns, and I
- 2:50Speaker 2: mean they're cheap twenty bucks a piece for a Hawaiian shirt.
- 2:53Speaker 2: And she go to a Hawaiian shirt company where they
- 2:57Speaker 2: make Hawaiian shirts. It's like sixty sixty five dollars better quality,
- 3:01Speaker 2: but still a lot of money. So I bought four
- 3:03Speaker 2: of them home, and I came into the house with him.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Lindsey took one look at said, okay, here are your
- 3:09Speaker 2: two choices. Either you return them tomorrow or I'm burning
- 3:12Speaker 2: them right now. Okay, well there you go. Grand That is,
- 3:17Speaker 2: I don't dress myself anymore. I mean, you know, mister
- 3:20Speaker 2: fashion plate, say, gop, fine, what do you want me
- 3:22Speaker 2: to wear?
- 3:23Speaker 3: I don't care?
- 3:24Speaker 2: All right, Will good morning, good morning Bill, and there
- 3:29Speaker 2: is and good money and there's our lineup. You know, guys,
- 3:34Speaker 2: this morning I woke up and I'm so tired. I know,
- 3:39Speaker 2: Neil only spent spent three and a half hours of
- 3:41Speaker 2: sleep yesterday or last night, and he said, because I
- 3:44Speaker 2: am so tired this morning, So tell you what I'm
- 3:46Speaker 2: going to do. I think I'm going to go back
- 3:49Speaker 2: to bed for a while. So Amy, Neil, guys, you
- 3:54Speaker 2: wanted to take it for take it for.
- 3:55Speaker 3: A couple of hours.
- 3:57Speaker 4: We're an old couple. Now. We wake up and talk
- 4:00Speaker 4: about what hurts? How a little sleep? We got?
- 4:03Speaker 5: What kind of medications you're on?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah about Yeah?
- 4:11Speaker 2: How did you do this morning? I had a great one,
- 4:13Speaker 2: Thank you very much. That's what old guys do in
- 4:18Speaker 2: the gym. Oh oh, there is a television show I
- 4:23Speaker 2: want to share. We share with you before we get
- 4:25Speaker 2: the news. It's Netflix and it's leaving I think June second,
- 4:28Speaker 2: June third, and it is called Brockmeyer and it is
- 4:33Speaker 2: the most depraved, hilarious show you will see maybe ever.
- 4:41Speaker 3: It is so good.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Within the first two minutes, you will start laughing your
- 4:49Speaker 2: asses off. It is hilarious and I'm gonna strongly suggest
- 4:54Speaker 2: that you watch it. It is uh, it's my kind
- 4:57Speaker 2: of show, except it does a better job of.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Being me then I do.
- 5:05Speaker 2: It's truly that funny Will looks like he's the only
- 5:08Speaker 2: one that might actually watch it.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Will do you have on Netflix? I do?
- 5:12Speaker 2: I like, Oh no, this is this is tremendous. Will
- 5:17Speaker 2: this is yeah, No, this is truly tremendous. Okay, okay,
- 5:22Speaker 2: let's do this. We'll start to handle on the news.
- 5:25Speaker 2: We're not going to spend a whole lot of time
- 5:26Speaker 2: talking about what happened yesterday or yeah, yesterday during the
- 5:32Speaker 2: summit between g and President Trump, other than say they
- 5:37Speaker 2: two different views of what happened. According to President Trump,
- 5:40Speaker 2: it couldn't be better. China loves everything we do. China
- 5:44Speaker 2: is going to help with you, Ran, China has set
- 5:47Speaker 2: up great trade and the President and then there was
- 5:50Speaker 2: the issue of China wants the arms deal that's currently
- 5:54Speaker 2: pending with Taiwan once it killed and warned the United
- 5:58Speaker 2: States not to go forward, and they're looking.
- 6:03Speaker 4: At it differently.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Oh, and the President said, we are the ones that
- 6:07Speaker 2: have closed the Strait of Horror moves.
- 6:09Speaker 3: That's us.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Wait a minute, If that's us, then why is it
- 6:14Speaker 2: still closed?
- 6:15Speaker 3: Couldn't we open it?
- 6:16Speaker 2: Except for our blockade of Iranian ports? We have closed it.
- 6:23Speaker 2: You know how many bases are out there where? How
- 6:24Speaker 2: many oil terminals are out there in Bahrain, in Oman,
- 6:30Speaker 2: in Qatar, in the Emirates, probably about twenty bases that
- 6:38Speaker 2: are not Iranian, or port facilities are not Iranian? Why
- 6:42Speaker 2: would we close the straight to our allies and they
- 6:47Speaker 2: ship oil? Got me on that one, and the President
- 6:52Speaker 2: just doubled down said, Yep, we close it.
- 6:54Speaker 3: It's us and we don't need China to help us
- 6:59Speaker 3: open up the that's right.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry, because we've closed it, so we don't
- 7:03Speaker 2: need China to help us.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Then why go ask China to help us?
- 7:07Speaker 4: So you say we're not going to be talking a
- 7:09Speaker 4: lot about that, then.
- 7:11Speaker 3: This is it.
- 7:12Speaker 2: This is it, This is it because we're not going
- 7:14Speaker 2: to be talking about it for the rest of the show.
- 7:16Speaker 4: See now.
- 7:17Speaker 2: No, I just wanted to get that out of the
- 7:18Speaker 2: way because it's pretty important stuff, but there's nothing unique
- 7:21Speaker 2: about it.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Okay, let's do it.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It's time for handle on the news, Amy, Neil and Me.
- 7:29Speaker 2: All Right, no surprise last night the last segubernatorial debate.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It's breaking down among seven people, the two Republicans and
- 7:38Speaker 2: the five Democrats that it looks like we had to
- 7:40Speaker 2: guess right now, but Sarah and Hilton are going to
- 7:44Speaker 2: be the winners of this. So it'll probably be a
- 7:48Speaker 2: Republican and it'll probably be a Democrat, which you'll do it.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And coming up seven o'clock we're going to more talk
- 7:57Speaker 2: about it. And I want to bring in Amy because
- 7:59Speaker 2: she's the one that watches his stuff a wall to
- 8:01Speaker 2: wall every minute.
- 8:03Speaker 7: And it took a lot of effort for me to
- 8:05Speaker 7: watch it last night. Yeah, well CBS on sling, so
- 8:09Speaker 7: I had to go find it and do all kinds
- 8:11Speaker 7: of techie stuff to make it.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Oh, isn't that a pain in me?
- 8:14Speaker 5: It was a pain, but I did. I did figure
- 8:16Speaker 5: it out. I was very proud of myself.
- 8:17Speaker 3: And no surprise, exactly what happened happened.
- 8:21Speaker 2: And you've got the Democrats that are going after the
- 8:24Speaker 2: front runner with Sarah and making incredible accusations and taking
- 8:28Speaker 2: what happened to him or his chief of staff who
- 8:32Speaker 2: has pled guilty to a bunch of crimes. It's his fault,
- 8:36Speaker 2: it's Sarah, and Besarah should go to jail.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Just ask Hilton or no, kat was it Katie Porter
- 8:41Speaker 3: that said that? Hilton said that, Yeah, that's what I thought.
- 8:44Speaker 3: So Hilton has said.
- 8:46Speaker 7: She running, you should be getting ready for your lawsuit
- 8:49Speaker 7: or whatever.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yeah, or yeah, And he sort of made that up
- 8:54Speaker 2: because there is nothing painting from what I understand.
- 8:57Speaker 3: All right, let's move on. We'll talk more about that
- 8:58Speaker 3: at seven o'clock.
- 9:01Speaker 7: Does Tom Sier Stier have his sites set on Katie Porter?
- 9:07Speaker 7: So remember that video that was leaked about Katie Porter.
- 9:10Speaker 7: She was doing a video and a staffer walks through
- 9:12Speaker 7: the background and Katie loses her mind and starts screaming
- 9:15Speaker 7: at her. So a brief memo obtained by the La
- 9:20Speaker 7: Times appears to show that a Tom Stier staffer actually
- 9:26Speaker 7: leaked that video. And Katie Porter has been claiming that
- 9:29Speaker 7: Styer's been denying that, but Porter accused Stier's campaign of
- 9:35Speaker 7: leaking the video. Stier's campaign is still denying that it
- 9:38Speaker 7: had anything to do with it.
- 9:40Speaker 4: One on the video, Yeah, k.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's about to leak. That's the issue.
- 9:47Speaker 2: And how unusual that an opponent is leaking a piece
- 9:51Speaker 2: of video that is dangerous or that is detrimental.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Wouldn't leak that video? That's the bigger question.
- 9:58Speaker 6: Why would you not go? Yeah, I wanted you to
- 10:00Speaker 6: know who you're voting for. Yeah, we leaked it. It's horrible.
- 10:04Speaker 4: How about that?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's politics. Yeah, of course they're going to leak anything.
- 10:08Speaker 2: It's negative, all right. One more, Neil before we take
- 10:10Speaker 2: a break.
- 10:11Speaker 6: All right, this ties into what you just spoke about.
- 10:13Speaker 6: Trump announcing, you know, his perspective of what went down
- 10:17Speaker 6: in China. He says that they agreed to China agreed
- 10:21Speaker 6: to order two hundred Boeing jets and you know, right now,
- 10:25Speaker 6: let's be honest, the American jet manufacturer could use that
- 10:29Speaker 6: boost right now. But Beijing officials were noncommittal after Trump left.
- 10:36Speaker 2: So yeah, and he said they're buying it. I mean,
- 10:38Speaker 2: it's you know, we're getting two stories.
- 10:40Speaker 3: I told you.
- 10:41Speaker 2: So.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Trump announces, Okay, two hundred.
- 10:46Speaker 2: What is it, two hundred Boeing jets have been ordered
- 10:51Speaker 2: by China. China comes back with recipes for orange chicken.
- 10:55Speaker 3: They just are No.
- 10:57Speaker 6: She did did say though, that Trump left and afterwards
- 11:03Speaker 6: they achieved a wide range of cooperative outcomes.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Yeah, what does that mean.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Don't know.
- 11:09Speaker 6: They're both politicians, man, Yeah, don't know exactly.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Abortion by mail can continue for now. The Supreme Court
- 11:19Speaker 7: granted an emergency appeal yesterday from the makers of mifipristone
- 11:24Speaker 7: and set aside an order from a US appeals court
- 11:26Speaker 7: in Louisiana that would have made it illegal to send
- 11:28Speaker 7: or receive the abortion pill by mail. So the decision
- 11:35Speaker 7: is a setback for abortion opponents who had sued and
- 11:38Speaker 7: argued Louisiana's Attorney general did that her state's ban on
- 11:42Speaker 7: abortion has been thwarted by abortion pills sent by the mail.
- 11:46Speaker 7: So that means that you can still get them by
- 11:48Speaker 7: mail and at pharmacies. You don't have to see a
- 11:51Speaker 7: doctor right now. But it's not a final decision, so it's.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Still playing out our court.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah, this had to do with whether which side is
- 12:01Speaker 2: going to be stopped temporarily, and the Supreme Court said,
- 12:04Speaker 2: we're still going to let it happen until we decide,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and then actually it goes down to the appeals court again,
- 12:10Speaker 2: where we'll see which way it goes.
- 12:13Speaker 5: So doing appeals court already make a decision.
- 12:15Speaker 2: But they're sending it back on I think another issue
- 12:20Speaker 2: because of the appeals Court made a decision. Then then
- 12:25Speaker 2: the Supreme Court may very well say we're putting it
- 12:27Speaker 2: on hold as it were, pending any decision later on,
- 12:31Speaker 2: and so we'll see what they do.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I was shocked this happen actually.
- 12:37Speaker 4: All right.
- 12:38Speaker 6: Dana Williamson, she was Newsome's former chief of staff. She
- 12:45Speaker 6: pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to commit bank
- 12:48Speaker 6: fraud and wire fraud. She was originally charged with twenty
- 12:52Speaker 6: three federal accounts Boom, but one of them not only
- 12:56Speaker 6: tied to Newsom. There but one of these charges was
- 13:00Speaker 6: accused of co conspiring in this scheme of some kind
- 13:03Speaker 6: to steal about two hundred and twenty five thousand dollars
- 13:06Speaker 6: from a dormant campaign account.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Belonging to Besarah. So I had a bizarre story.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah, No, she's a thief basically, is what it is,
- 13:20Speaker 2: because she played guilty. When you talk about these twenty
- 13:22Speaker 2: three counts or forty counts, it's not like there are
- 13:25Speaker 2: forty different crimes. For example, the twenty three she's convicted
- 13:28Speaker 2: of wire fraud or conspiracy commit So you have a
- 13:32Speaker 2: bank account that you take money out twenty three times,
- 13:34Speaker 2: that's twenty three counts.
- 13:36Speaker 6: No, No, I get it, It just is. I think
- 13:39Speaker 6: it's bizarre that she went through. You know, she had
- 13:42Speaker 6: ties to news to Bassara, and she was the US
- 13:47Speaker 6: Health and Human Services secretary under President Biden.
- 13:50Speaker 3: No that was oh, no, that was that was Sarah.
- 13:55Speaker 6: Yeah, that's got casts to those people during the time,
- 14:01Speaker 6: and apparently she's an interesting piece of work.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I find it rather interesting that no matter what happens,
- 14:09Speaker 2: you get blamed. The buckstops here kind of thing. So
- 14:12Speaker 2: if there's a criminality, let's say, let's take another one.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You have a right who kills somebody, it's your fault.
- 14:20Speaker 4: No, I don't put that on them.
- 14:22Speaker 6: But it just goes to show you how that you
- 14:24Speaker 6: continue to work with the same people over and over,
- 14:27Speaker 6: they get kind of passed through the system, and no
- 14:30Speaker 6: one like all those years, no one couldn't she.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Just she sneaked it through. That's what happens. You can
- 14:38Speaker 2: only do so much. That made no sense at all.
- 14:42Speaker 2: That's just me ranting. Okay, moving on.
- 14:48Speaker 7: A super slim chance that an El Nino will be
- 14:52Speaker 7: super The odds are increasing that a so called super
- 14:56Speaker 7: Elmino could strike in twenty twenty six. It's only, how
- 15:00Speaker 7: been four times since nineteen fifty. The latest forecast from
- 15:04Speaker 7: the National Weather Service says there's an eighty two percent
- 15:07Speaker 7: chance of El Nino developing by July. That's up from
- 15:11Speaker 7: sixty one percent, and there's a ninety six percent chance
- 15:16Speaker 7: of the climate phenomenon lasting through the winter.
- 15:19Speaker 3: And that's not a super slim chance.
- 15:22Speaker 7: Well, it's the super slim chance that it's going to
- 15:24Speaker 7: be a super el Nino, because forecasters nothing National Weather
- 15:27Speaker 7: Services says, yeah, we don't have a term like that.
- 15:29Speaker 7: We don't we don't call it that, but there's probably
- 15:31Speaker 7: going to be an El Nino.
- 15:32Speaker 4: So you're saying, so it's.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Going to be, well, the chances of a super are
- 15:36Speaker 2: super all Nino, then there's a super duper el Nino,
- 15:40Speaker 2: which so.
- 15:41Speaker 4: What does this mean.
- 15:42Speaker 6: It means we have a colder weather and then what
- 15:45Speaker 6: and then a hotter summer, a colder winter rather yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 6: and then a hotter.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Summer and then a lot of drought.
- 15:51Speaker 6: So winter's going to be cold and then summer's going
- 15:54Speaker 6: to be hot, got it?
- 15:55Speaker 4: Okay? Check? All right?
- 16:00Speaker 6: Taiwan think the US I don't know if this was
- 16:02Speaker 6: a good idea to come out with this, but on Friday,
- 16:05Speaker 6: just today for expressing its support and of course the
- 16:09Speaker 6: commitment to peace and stability, and for reaffirming its Taiwan
- 16:14Speaker 6: policy that it.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Has not been changed, that of course.
- 16:20Speaker 6: China wants Taiwan, and we've supported Taiwan and their sovereignty.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah, what's important here is Marco Rubio and the President said,
- 16:31Speaker 2: we have not changed our position in the United States
- 16:35Speaker 2: relative to Taiwan. There's a fourteen billion dollar package of
- 16:39Speaker 2: arms that is being considered. Actually, I think has already
- 16:42Speaker 2: been allotted to Taiwan, and the President, when asked, are
- 16:46Speaker 2: you still shipping those arms, he said, I haven't made
- 16:50Speaker 2: up my mind yet.
- 16:51Speaker 3: I'm still considering it.
- 16:53Speaker 2: And keep in mind, Gee straight out warned him, don't
- 16:58Speaker 2: do it. There may even be a conflict over this.
- 17:02Speaker 2: We want Taiwan stay the hell out of our business.
- 17:06Speaker 2: That's that's a tough one, I said yesterday. For Ji
- 17:10Speaker 2: Taiwan is the all encompassing issue. That's the big one. Reunification.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Okay, we have I think we have room for one
- 17:21Speaker 3: more before we take a break, all right.
- 17:22Speaker 7: Newsom is still talking but not delivering on wildfire relief money. Apparently,
- 17:27Speaker 7: fire victims in Altadena say they are still waiting for
- 17:30Speaker 7: the help they were promised more than a year ago
- 17:32Speaker 7: after they eat and fire. They say they're fed up
- 17:35Speaker 7: with delays. They're demanding answers about billions of dollars in
- 17:38Speaker 7: relief money. And this is coming to light even as
- 17:43Speaker 7: the governor puts out his new revised budget, which proposes
- 17:48Speaker 7: a one hundred million dollar fund to help wildfire victims
- 17:50Speaker 7: afford loans to rebuild their homes. That's supposed to be
- 17:54Speaker 7: in addition to two and a half billion dollars of
- 17:56Speaker 7: relief money he promised to wildfire victims, which wildfire victims
- 17:59Speaker 7: say that not getting.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:03Speaker 6: I've never ever heard of a VIP snorkel until today.
- 18:08Speaker 6: So Cash Battel visited Hawaii last summer, and he's a
- 18:12Speaker 6: lot of scrutiny about using planes and all kinds of
- 18:18Speaker 6: things for personal use. So he goes to visit Hawaii
- 18:21Speaker 6: last summer. The FBI went out of their way to
- 18:25Speaker 6: note the director was not on the vacation. It highlighted
- 18:31Speaker 6: his walking tour, tour of the bureaus, Honolulu Field Office,
- 18:37Speaker 6: meetings with local law enforcement, that type of thing.
- 18:39Speaker 4: What they left out, apparently.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Was some exclusive excursion that Pattel took days later when
- 18:50Speaker 6: he participated in what the government officials described as a
- 18:53Speaker 6: VIP snorkel, and it was around the USS Arizona.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Of course, that's is that weird.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Now they do the Army or the Navy does, in fact,
- 19:05Speaker 2: or the Park Service, because it's a national monument, does
- 19:08Speaker 2: in fact allow diving near the Arizona, but only for maintenance,
- 19:13Speaker 2: only to see how badly it's rotting, actually, how it's
- 19:18Speaker 2: basically rusting away. And also, and I didn't know this,
- 19:22Speaker 2: survivors of Pearl Harbor who ended up dying dying recently
- 19:28Speaker 2: have the option of being interred into the Arizona.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Really yep.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I think they have to be cremated, because I don't
- 19:37Speaker 2: think they cram bodies in there. But I do believe
- 19:40Speaker 2: they have the option of being with their that are
- 19:45Speaker 2: in Yeah, yeah, say, I want to be I want
- 19:47Speaker 2: to be with the guys that I was with during
- 19:50Speaker 2: the Pearl Harbor attack. Other than that, it ain't so
- 19:53Speaker 2: this is so weird. I wonder at what point does
- 19:56Speaker 2: the president unload cash Patel because there's just too much
- 19:59Speaker 2: crap here. I mean, he did that with Christinome, he
- 20:02Speaker 2: did that with Pam Blondie. You know, there was just
- 20:04Speaker 2: too much, especially Christinam with the ice anymore.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Oh they're seeing eye to eye. Hey hey, hey, there
- 20:12Speaker 3: you go.
- 20:14Speaker 4: But it's.
- 20:16Speaker 2: At what point does he just do too much on
- 20:19Speaker 2: this personal stuff where the pressure is just too great.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And I think a lot of it has to do
- 20:24Speaker 2: with Republican both congress people and senators who tell the
- 20:29Speaker 2: White House, hey, that's enough with this guy. That's enough.
- 20:32Speaker 2: We're done with this guy, and we'll see what happens.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I think if he does any more of these, is
- 20:37Speaker 2: on his way out, even no matter how vociferously he
- 20:42Speaker 2: defends the president.
- 20:45Speaker 7: A tourist just finding himself between a rock and a
- 20:48Speaker 7: criminal case. A tourist from Washington State facing federal charges
- 20:54Speaker 7: after there is cell phone video of him hurling a
- 20:58Speaker 7: coconut sized rock at an endangered Hawaiian monk steal just
- 21:02Speaker 7: off Maui Beach last week.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Did you see the video of yes, bag, it's disgusting.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 6: And then he was saying how someone said something and
- 21:10Speaker 6: he said that he's rich and he doesn't have to know.
- 21:14Speaker 3: He has enough money to pay the fine, is what
- 21:18Speaker 3: he said.
- 21:18Speaker 5: The felony charges, yeah, two years.
- 21:22Speaker 3: And I hope the judge gives them all two years.
- 21:25Speaker 6: And I think a couple of locals handed his ass
- 21:29Speaker 6: to him too, found out who he was.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Well, that's certainly going to happen in prison. H They're
- 21:34Speaker 2: gonna hand his Uh, okay, all right, let's not do that, Okay, Okay,
- 21:42Speaker 2: no ass handing.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no ass handing in prison. You do a
- 21:45Speaker 3: fair amount of that.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Yeah, he has.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Enough money to uh stop that from happening. All right,
- 21:52Speaker 2: so Justice close, so he'll never suffer from constipation again.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Okay, let's move on.
- 22:01Speaker 4: All right, I'm not going to say it never mind.
- 22:06Speaker 6: Justice Clarence Thomas lamented about heightened security and how things
- 22:12Speaker 6: have changed since and they're very different from when he
- 22:16Speaker 6: first became a circuit justice. He says, now they have
- 22:23Speaker 6: you know, going out or being normal outside of the
- 22:26Speaker 6: courthouse is very difficult, and you need massive amounts of security.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Well, that's sort of sad.
- 22:35Speaker 2: It is.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Their homes have security.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Kavanaugh after he was threatened, actually someone was arrested for
- 22:42Speaker 2: stalking him and claiming that Kavanaugh and his family was
- 22:46Speaker 2: going to be hurt. Kavanaugh has twenty four hour security
- 22:48Speaker 2: around his house. And you're also, whenever a Supreme Court
- 22:52Speaker 2: justice goes out there and does any kind of appearance,
- 22:56Speaker 2: massive security.
- 22:58Speaker 3: It's He's right, it's it's different. No, it's different. It's
- 23:03Speaker 3: a different world. Unfortunately.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Yeah, remember when Jeff says Sessions recused himself.
- 23:12Speaker 5: How well that went over? Oh yeah, yeah, So.
- 23:16Speaker 7: It was less than two weeks after Todd blanche took
- 23:19Speaker 7: on his role of Deputy Attorney General in March of
- 23:22Speaker 7: twenty twenty five, when the Justice Department's top ethics lawyer said,
- 23:26Speaker 7: you know what, You're going to have to recuse yourself
- 23:28Speaker 7: from legal cases that involve President Trump in his personal capacity.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, And he won't do it. Yeah, he just
- 23:38Speaker 2: won't do it. And there is such a conflict here.
- 23:42Speaker 2: It is so blatant, this conflict that it's you know,
- 23:48Speaker 2: as speaking as a lawyer, a bad one to be,
- 23:51Speaker 2: to be sure, but speaking as a lawyer, you cannot
- 23:55Speaker 2: represent one side and then move over to the other side.
- 23:58Speaker 3: You can't do that.
- 24:00Speaker 2: And he was Trump's personal lawyer, and then now he
- 24:04Speaker 2: is in the DOJ and he is now going after
- 24:12Speaker 2: the very people that he was defending. Do I know
- 24:17Speaker 2: that's not true? I don't have that right.
- 24:19Speaker 5: It's because he was Trump's personal lawyer.
- 24:22Speaker 2: He was, and now he's head of the DJ and
- 24:25Speaker 2: Trump is ordering him to go after the people that
- 24:30Speaker 2: are on the other side.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Okay, there's a conflict in there. Tomorrow, you know what
- 24:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna do. I'm gonna ask myself this question tomorrow.
- 24:39Speaker 2: By the eight o'clock hour, I'll ask this question of myself.
- 24:43Speaker 4: That'll be great.
- 24:44Speaker 5: You'll be able to answer yourself.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I'll be able to answer myself. I answer myself every
- 24:49Speaker 2: single weekend. Okay, I don't get this at all.
- 24:53Speaker 6: So you have a Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, Edwin Diaz.
- 24:59Speaker 6: He's an all star clob Those are three times all
- 25:01Speaker 6: start closer by the way in his Dodger uniform in
- 25:05Speaker 6: an article circulating in a Puerto Rican newspaper about cockfighting.
- 25:13Speaker 6: In addition to that, you also have brothers that are jockeys,
- 25:17Speaker 6: two top Kentucky Kentucky derby first and second place, respectful, respectively,
- 25:25Speaker 6: Jose Ortis and irod Ortis that were advertised as participants
- 25:32Speaker 6: in this cockfighting tournament back in twenty twenty five. And
- 25:37Speaker 6: now they're getting questioned on this.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Yeah, the guys in.
- 25:41Speaker 3: His uniform and he goes to a cockfight.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:45Speaker 6: And there was a law, I think back in twenty nineteen,
- 25:47Speaker 6: a federal law banning cock fighting that took effect in
- 25:50Speaker 6: Puerto Rico.
- 25:51Speaker 2: In the States, they did it in Puerto Rico. There
- 25:55Speaker 2: were some exceptions, but for the most part, you can
- 26:00Speaker 2: still do cock fighting in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, it's legal
- 26:05Speaker 2: to host cock fights as long as the people don't
- 26:08Speaker 2: export or import the animals or any goods and services
- 26:14Speaker 2: related to the cock fighting. And I don't know what
- 26:18Speaker 2: that means goods and services? What chicken feed can't do that?
- 26:25Speaker 4: Right? Yeah? But what a horrific Oh.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Yeah, cockfighting is horrible. It's just it's just god awful.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Where have all the good men gone? Well we may
- 26:37Speaker 5: have found one.
- 26:38Speaker 7: There's a guy in Florida who noticed a fanny pack
- 26:42Speaker 7: hanging on a railing inside a bathroom of a wah
- 26:45Speaker 7: wah gas station.
- 26:47Speaker 5: I've never heard of whahwah gas stations.
- 26:49Speaker 4: Wa wawa Uh.
- 26:50Speaker 7: He opened the pack to look for id, looked around,
- 26:54Speaker 7: tried to find the owner, couldn't. So he looked in
- 26:56Speaker 7: the pack and said, holy he found dollars in cash.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Wow.
- 27:02Speaker 5: But he didn't keep it. He returned it immediately once
- 27:06Speaker 5: police identified the guy who left it behind through security footage.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Gave him in the bag, said this is yours, and
- 27:14Speaker 5: he said he never thought about keeping it. Wasn't raised.
- 27:17Speaker 2: It's not my money to take. I was not raised
- 27:19Speaker 2: that way. Now, how many people would actually return this money?
- 27:25Speaker 2: I would hope it's a larger Actually, I would return it.
- 27:28Speaker 2: I'd come in there and say, hey, I just found
- 27:29Speaker 2: fifteen thousand dollars.
- 27:31Speaker 6: This ten thousand dollars needs to get back to the
- 27:34Speaker 6: owner right now. All right, small cities in big Texas
- 27:40Speaker 6: metro areas are growing by leaps and bounds. So they're
- 27:45Speaker 6: the fastest growing municipalities in the United States last year.
- 27:49Speaker 6: These little small communities in the South that are outpacing
- 27:54Speaker 6: the rest of the nation. And you've got some of
- 27:58Speaker 6: these places I've never even heard of. Selena, Princeton, Melissa,
- 28:02Speaker 6: and Anna, all part of the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex,
- 28:06Speaker 6: were numbers one, three, four, and five fastest growing US
- 28:11Speaker 6: cities with populations of twenty thousand residents or more.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Which, yeah, which is more impactful considering that these small
- 28:20Speaker 2: cities have a huge influx bill illegal undocumented folks coming
- 28:26Speaker 2: into those cities because they're so close to the border.
- 28:28Speaker 3: So that's kind of interesting.
- 28:31Speaker 5: This is a little heartbreaking. If at first you.
- 28:34Speaker 7: Don't succeed, just try try again. Lapd identified a twenty
- 28:39Speaker 7: eight year old man as the suspect in that hit
- 28:42Speaker 7: and run crash impliadale Rey. Remember it killed a one
- 28:46Speaker 7: year old boy and his uncle last week. Well, the
- 28:49Speaker 7: guy that they were looking for and have arrested moys
- 28:53Speaker 7: This Rodriguez Liva Leva from Canyon Country, already had two
- 28:58Speaker 7: outstanding arrest warrants and can I with the UIs.
- 29:01Speaker 6: Of course he did. Welcome to California. Yeah, this is
- 29:07Speaker 6: a super strange story. So you've got this museum and
- 29:12Speaker 6: it has you know, it's got a bunch of cars
- 29:15Speaker 6: in there, and a lot of them are replica movie cars.
- 29:19Speaker 6: This one happens to be the night Rider lookalike car
- 29:22Speaker 6: and it got.
- 29:23Speaker 4: A ticket yet it's not been out.
- 29:26Speaker 6: Of the museum, but they both had the replica license
- 29:31Speaker 6: plate which is Night with a K on the lices plate.
- 29:37Speaker 4: You can buy these on Amazon. I have a bunch of.
- 29:39Speaker 6: These replica license plates from movies and stuff in my shop.
- 29:43Speaker 6: And so they think that someone just had another car
- 29:47Speaker 6: that looked just like it with the replica license plate
- 29:50Speaker 6: that says night on it like the television show. But
- 29:54Speaker 6: they don't know how this particular replica at the museum
- 29:59Speaker 6: got a wociated the law enforcement would set the ticket
- 30:04Speaker 6: to the museum because it's not a real life place.
- 30:07Speaker 6: It's not like it's registered to the Mutium.
- 30:09Speaker 4: It really weird.
- 30:11Speaker 2: All right, guys, We are done on a Friday for
- 30:15Speaker 2: a Handle on the News. Coming up, five key moments
- 30:19Speaker 2: during the California Governor's last debate, and the only person
- 30:25Speaker 2: I know who actually watched it waal To Wall is.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Our own Amy King. And it was so difficult to watch.
- 30:32Speaker 2: To get to it, it was almost like going to
- 30:35Speaker 2: a speakeasy. She had to like open up the window
- 30:37Speaker 2: and say, Joe sent me. It was that difficult to find.
- 30:41Speaker 2: And we're going to go in and Amy and I
- 30:42Speaker 2: are going to talk about it, because boy, does she
- 30:45Speaker 2: have her thumb on this one. KFI Am sixty you've
- 30:50Speaker 2: been listening to the Bill Handle Show Catch My Show
- 30:52Speaker 2: Monday through Friday, six am to nine am, and anytime
- 30:56Speaker 2: on demand on the iHeartRadio app Okay
