- 0:07Speaker 1: The Season with Peter Scheger is a production of the
- 0:09Speaker 1: NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio. Welcome everybody to the Season
- 0:25Speaker 1: with Peter Schreger. We are here. The NFL season has begun.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Kickoff is obviously Thursday night. If you're listening to this
- 0:35Speaker 1: on Friday or Saturday or Sunday, you already know the
- 0:38Speaker 1: outcome to Thursday night's game. We are recording this podcast
- 0:40Speaker 1: on Thursday morning, and I'm talking with grave tones in
- 0:44Speaker 1: a very serious way, because well, if you listen to
- 0:47Speaker 1: the Season with Peter Schreger, it's not just twenty two weeks,
- 0:50Speaker 1: it's fifty two weeks. We do this thing every single
- 0:52Speaker 1: week because the season is all year. There is no
- 0:55Speaker 1: off season in the NFL. Every time a player coughs
- 0:58Speaker 1: or hiccups, we talk about it. Anytime we are in
- 1:01Speaker 1: the off season. It's the best time for us to
- 1:03Speaker 1: get coaches and gms to speak unfiltered with that becomes
- 1:08Speaker 1: an all encompassing three sixty view of the NFL. You
- 1:12Speaker 1: are owed, and you have earned a chance to listen
- 1:16Speaker 1: to Aaron and I give our predictions for the twenty
- 1:17Speaker 1: twenty three season. Aaron wan Coffin has joined me, Aaron,
- 1:20Speaker 1: my great producer. How you feeling right now?
- 1:21Speaker 2: Oh, I'm I'm ready.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I'm you know, I've calmed myself down a little to
- 1:26Speaker 3: give maybe some hot takes, I don't know. I want
- 1:28Speaker 3: to see how you're looking at the future and what
- 1:31Speaker 3: I see differently.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Let me talk some shit right now? Can I talk
- 1:35Speaker 1: some shit?
- 1:36Speaker 2: Go off?
- 1:37Speaker 1: Okay? They talk that talk. There are a million pregame
- 1:41Speaker 1: shows out there. I'm on two of them, and these
- 1:44Speaker 1: guys give their Super Bowl picks and it's like Eagles
- 1:48Speaker 1: play the Bells BAH, or Chiefs play the forty nine
- 1:52Speaker 1: Ers BAH, and like, I need depth. I need to
- 1:56Speaker 1: know what your playoff teams are. I need to know
- 1:59Speaker 1: who your offensive Rookie of the years are. I need
- 2:02Speaker 1: to know who your MVP is. I need to know
- 2:05Speaker 1: which team makes the playoff that didn't make the playoffs
- 2:07Speaker 1: last year, which team doesn't make the playoffs that did
- 2:09Speaker 1: make the playoffs last year. I want to know your
- 2:10Speaker 1: coach of the year. That's the stuff I'm here for.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I want to go deep. Super Bowl picks. Everyone had
- 2:16Speaker 1: a Super Bowl pick. My son made a Super Bowl pick.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You know, my son, Mel said to me. I said,
- 2:20Speaker 1: mal I gotta pick a Super Bowl pick. What's you
- 2:21Speaker 1: suer pick? He said, Daddy, I think the Giants are
- 2:24Speaker 1: going to play the Lions. I said, well, that's impossible.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But you know what, you know what, Son, you might
- 2:30Speaker 1: be right. When you compare yourself to all the other
- 2:32Speaker 1: pundits out there who just throw two teams at a wall,
- 2:36Speaker 1: they might realign the conferences for you. Baby, I'm not
- 2:38Speaker 1: going to stop you. This is your world, this is
- 2:41Speaker 1: the Prediction episode. You can turn it off if you
- 2:44Speaker 1: don't care, or you can listen and you can play along,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and you can tweet us. I'm at p shrigs pschrgs.
- 2:53Speaker 1: But everyone in the world makes a Super Bowl pick
- 2:56Speaker 1: and then they kind of vanish into the shadows and
- 2:57Speaker 1: everyone worries about it. I make my Super Bowl pick.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I pin it to the top of my profile, and
- 3:02Speaker 1: with great humility, I tell you I have been right
- 3:05Speaker 1: the last several years. I had the Chiefs last year,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I had the Rans. Before that, I had the Buccaneers
- 3:09Speaker 1: before that, I had the Chiefs when they beat the
- 3:11Speaker 1: forty nine ers. I take a lot of pride in this.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I live and I breathe it. But it's not just
- 3:15Speaker 1: gonna be Super Bowl picks. Aaron, are you ready to
- 3:17Speaker 1: make some picks with me?
- 3:18Speaker 2: I am all set. Let's go.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Okay, I've thrown off the what they call these the cans.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I've thrown off. Cans are off, gloves are off. Let's
- 3:29Speaker 1: start with some insignificant awards. These are just to get
- 3:35Speaker 1: our feet wet. All right, all right, NFL Offensive Rookie
- 3:40Speaker 1: of the Year. I'm going with Jamiir Gibbs of the
- 3:42Speaker 1: Detroit Lions. If you're watching this on Friday morning, Gibbs
- 3:45Speaker 1: probably already put up one hundred yards. And on Thursday night,
- 3:47Speaker 1: if you're watching this on Thursday going into the game,
- 3:49Speaker 1: pick them up in all your fantasy leagues. I am
- 3:51Speaker 1: doing this on the strength of speaking with the GM
- 3:54Speaker 1: on this very show earlier this summer, when he described
- 3:57Speaker 1: Jamiir Gibbs as an elite positionless weapon. When I made
- 4:02Speaker 1: the pick of Jamiir Gibbs to start Good Morning Football
- 4:06Speaker 1: on twenty fourth as like my breakout player of the
- 4:09Speaker 1: of the next few weeks. People are like really a
- 4:10Speaker 1: running back, and now it's almost like commonplace. Everyone's in
- 4:13Speaker 1: on Gibbs, So no way he can let up to
- 4:15Speaker 1: the hype, right I think he can. I think that
- 4:17Speaker 1: Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator, is gonna use him in
- 4:19Speaker 1: a way that we don't see a lot of running
- 4:21Speaker 1: backs in their first year US. I think he's gonna
- 4:22Speaker 1: play runningack. I think he's a play wide receiver. I
- 4:24Speaker 1: think he's gonna be used in all sorts of different packages.
- 4:28Speaker 1: And I think he puts up the stats. Yes, but
- 4:30Speaker 1: he also helps make this Lions offense one of the
- 4:32Speaker 1: best in the league. I wouldn't be shocked if Detroit
- 4:34Speaker 1: finishes the year with the number one ranked offense and
- 4:37Speaker 1: Jamier Gibbs is their jack of all trades, their Swiss
- 4:40Speaker 1: Army Knife, their Deebo Samuel, their Jaysom Hill, whatever you
- 4:43Speaker 1: want to say. I think the Lions are winning the
- 4:46Speaker 1: NFC North, and I think Jamiir Gibbs is a breakout star.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Jamiir Gibbs is my Offensive Rookie of the Year, Aaron
- 4:52Speaker 1: Wan Kaufman, your selection for Offensive Rookie the Year is the.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Drummell Anthony Richardson.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I know I'm not big boy. I no, I love
- 5:00Speaker 1: it go.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I know you don't want to pick a rookie who's
- 5:04Speaker 3: on a bad team. I know that Gibbs is gonna
- 5:08Speaker 3: have so many more wins. And Zay Jones another popular pick.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And I know you say.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Flowers, say Flowers, I'm gonna pick you up.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yes, say Flowers.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Not a rookie, go on.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Zay Flowers has a ton of buzz as well, and
- 5:22Speaker 3: he could be a good proxy for the Ravens offense
- 5:24Speaker 3: doing well. I'm going with Richardson because when Kyler won
- 5:29Speaker 3: Offensive Rookie of the Year, he had thirty seven hundred
- 5:32Speaker 3: passing yards, twenty passing touchdowns, twelve interceptions, five hundred rushing yards.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Last season, the Colts quarterbacks, the collection of Matt Ryan,
- 5:40Speaker 3: sam Ellinger Nick Foles threw for thirty eight hundred yards,
- 5:44Speaker 3: seventeen touchdowns, and twenty interceptions.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Okay, I think the wide receiver group could allow that.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Another thing with Kyler when he won in nineteen, second
- 5:55Speaker 3: place was Josh Jacobs, who had eleven hundred yards, seven
- 5:59Speaker 3: touchdowns and one hundred and sixty six receiving yards. Aj
- 6:03Speaker 3: Brown was third in voting with fifty receptors, fifty two
- 6:06Speaker 3: receptions over a thousand yards and eight touchdowns, and Miles
- 6:11Speaker 3: Sanders had eight hundred rushing yards and five hundred receiving yards.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I feel like Bijon and Gibbs will cannibalize each other.
- 6:19Speaker 3: I think that Zay and Addison and JSN they might can't.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, So I.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Think Richardson is gonna stand like, gonna have a nice
- 6:30Speaker 3: second half of the season, and I think he is
- 6:33Speaker 3: going to maybe not get thirty five hundred passing yards,
- 6:36Speaker 3: but he could get i don't know, six seven hundred
- 6:39Speaker 3: rushing yards, like they could really push it. And I
- 6:41Speaker 3: think Gibbs that whole offense is already good. We know that,
- 6:46Speaker 3: and if the Colts do well, it's because of Richardson.
- 6:50Speaker 3: So I'm gonna go out on a limb, which feels
- 6:52Speaker 3: weird to say with a quarterback being the offensive Rookie
- 6:54Speaker 3: of the Year, but I'm gonna go out on a
- 6:55Speaker 3: limb and say Richardson wins Offensive Rookie of the Year.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Broke, I tell you something, Yeah, that might have been
- 7:00Speaker 1: your best three minutes ever on the podcast.
- 7:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you something that's that's my most reach
- 7:05Speaker 3: for the whole day.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Delivered Like I thought you were gonna come in and
- 7:09Speaker 1: be like, nah, you know, maybe Bryce, young dude, that
- 7:11Speaker 1: was great. No, I'm really impressed. Right now we are
- 7:14Speaker 1: in regular season mode. Dude, Okay, great defensive rookie of
- 7:18Speaker 1: the year. Jalen Carter is the overall favorite everywhere. I
- 7:23Speaker 1: think he's probably gonna win Rookie of the Year. But
- 7:26Speaker 1: that's not fun. So I'm gonna give you another defensive player.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And I'm already changing my pick from Good Morning Football,
- 7:31Speaker 1: where I picked Brian Berzi earlier this week. I'm gonna
- 7:34Speaker 1: give you another Detroit Lion, and it's not their first
- 7:36Speaker 1: round pick, Jack Campbell. I think Brian Branch, the heat
- 7:40Speaker 1: seeking missile safety for the Detroit Lions, is going to
- 7:43Speaker 1: garner aate a lot of attention and might very well
- 7:46Speaker 1: be our defensive rookie of the Year again, Lions. I'm
- 7:49Speaker 1: all in on the Lions this year. I think they're
- 7:50Speaker 1: gonna go big and be on national TV. And I
- 7:53Speaker 1: think all these guys are gonna be household names, whether
- 7:54Speaker 1: it be Adrian Hutchinson, whether it be i'm Mon Ross
- 7:57Speaker 1: nine Brown. But the two rookies, Gibbs and Branch, both
- 8:00Speaker 1: of them out of Alabama, I think are gonna be outstanding.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I'm going Brian Branch as my late audible from Brian
- 8:06Speaker 1: and Jalen Carter. I am now going with my third
- 8:08Speaker 1: pick as my first pick on the podcast. Brian Branch
- 8:12Speaker 1: is my defensive Rookie of the Year. Aaron, I don't
- 8:16Speaker 1: know how passionate you are on Defensive Rookie of the Year,
- 8:18Speaker 1: but let's see if you can follow up that offensive
- 8:19Speaker 1: Rookie of the Year spiel.
- 8:20Speaker 3: All right, So, I think with defensive Rookie of the Year,
- 8:24Speaker 3: you need splashy plays. You need big moments that people
- 8:27Speaker 3: are gonna see. It doesn't necessarily have to be like
- 8:30Speaker 3: nationally televised games, but you need big moments. And I
- 8:34Speaker 3: think Emmanuel Forbes for Washington, the cornerback is gonna have
- 8:38Speaker 3: some big, big plays because he's gonna play against good receivers,
- 8:43Speaker 3: so he's gonna be guarding talented players. And I think
- 8:46Speaker 3: he has enough, like ball howking ability to come out
- 8:50Speaker 3: and like do some flashy things. So I think Forbes
- 8:56Speaker 3: is like kind of a little dark horse. Again, Will Anderson,
- 8:58Speaker 3: Jalen Carter, they're probably the top of most people's list.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I'd like to see Forbes want it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Okay, all right, let's go onto the next award NFL
- 9:07Speaker 1: Coach of the Year why don't you start us off
- 9:09Speaker 1: your NFL Coach of the Year. Now, remember to give
- 9:11Speaker 1: you some backstory. Most years, if you're listening, you know this.
- 9:16Speaker 1: It's not the team with the most wins, it's not
- 9:18Speaker 1: the established name. It's the team that makes the biggest leap,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and it's usually a younger first year guy. Belichick's only
- 9:25Speaker 1: won Coach of the Year three times. I believe Brian
- 9:28Speaker 1: Dable won it last year, and in recent years, Kevin
- 9:29Speaker 1: Stefanski has won. Matt Naggi has won this award. Sean
- 9:33Speaker 1: mcvayh has won this award. Aaron, who do you got?
- 9:36Speaker 3: I Am going to complete opposite direction from you, and
- 9:38Speaker 3: I'm going with Mike Tomlin. I think that the Steelers
- 9:42Speaker 3: have looked really good in preseason. I think the offense
- 9:44Speaker 3: and defense are both going to be better than they
- 9:46Speaker 3: were last year. And I don't think it's going to
- 9:49Speaker 3: be necessarily any one player, unless maybe you think, like
- 9:52Speaker 3: what could do defensive player of the year, And I
- 9:55Speaker 3: think Tomlin will sort of be the proxy for the
- 9:57Speaker 3: whole team doing well, and I think he takes home
- 10:00Speaker 3: coach of the Year.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Okay, Mike Tomlin. They were an eight win team last year.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But I don't know if Mike Tomlin has won NFL
- 10:06Speaker 1: Coach of the Year. While I'm talking, google that for me.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I think that'd be amazing that after all these years
- 10:10Speaker 1: of never being under five hundred, Mike Tomlin has never
- 10:14Speaker 1: won a Coach of the Year award. If he did,
- 10:15Speaker 1: it was his first season. Has he ever won it?
- 10:18Speaker 2: Two thousand and eight?
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah, so the year they went Super Bowl, Mike Tomlin
- 10:21Speaker 1: did win Coach of the Year, but that has been
- 10:23Speaker 1: fifteen years already. Yeah, if my math is correct, I
- 10:25Speaker 1: think it is my coach of the year. Is that
- 10:29Speaker 1: old dog, that renegade, rebel, that maverick, that gun slinger,
- 10:35Speaker 1: the guy who does not necessarily love the NFL league offices,
- 10:39Speaker 1: does not care about your coaching code, does not care
- 10:43Speaker 1: about who coached before him, and yet has his players believing.
- 10:48Speaker 1: This could be a massive whiff. But I'm going to
- 10:50Speaker 1: bank on him, just knowing just how committed he is
- 10:52Speaker 1: to this thing. I'm gonna go Sean Payton as my
- 10:53Speaker 1: coach of the Year. I think the Broncos have a
- 10:55Speaker 1: massive increase in wins that he gets. Russell Wilson, right,
- 10:59Speaker 1: I think these players are all on the same page.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I don't think you need six time management coaches to
- 11:03Speaker 1: help him. I think he's gonna win in late game situations.
- 11:06Speaker 1: To go for an on fourth down, it's necessary, and
- 11:08Speaker 1: I think the Broncos have a massive leap and wins.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Let's go Broncos. Let's ride all that. Sean Payton is
- 11:17Speaker 1: your NFL Coach of the Year.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Now.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Whether or not the writers actually vote for him is
- 11:21Speaker 1: another thing. I don't think he's a fan. He's got
- 11:23Speaker 1: all those fans. As far as let's pick him as
- 11:26Speaker 1: some like wonderful story. He's kind of the renegade where's
- 11:30Speaker 1: the black hat? And I kind of like that. I'm
- 11:31Speaker 1: gonna go Sean Payton, all right, next award? All right,
- 11:36Speaker 1: so the NFL has Comeback Player of the Year, and
- 11:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, if Damar Hamlin plays eighteen weeks, Damar
- 11:43Speaker 1: Hamlin's gonna be your coach, your comeback player of the year.
- 11:46Speaker 1: And I think if DeMar Hamlin even plays week one,
- 11:48Speaker 1: so we're not gonna even discuss comeback Player of the Year.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I think that's already a Damar Hamlin award to lose,
- 11:53Speaker 1: which is such a weird thing to say, Like the
- 11:54Speaker 1: only reason he won't win is if he gets cut
- 11:57Speaker 1: or if he doesn't play because of an injury, comes
- 11:59Speaker 1: moving and God forbid that he's got to go through that.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Our next award is Defensive Player of the Year. Nick
- 12:05Speaker 1: Bosa won this last year. As of right now, Nick Bosa,
- 12:08Speaker 1: Chris Jones, and Brian Burns are not with their current team,
- 12:11Speaker 1: so that complicates this thing a little bit. Looking at
- 12:14Speaker 1: some of the odds and the leaders on this thing,
- 12:16Speaker 1: there are some bigger names, but I'm gonna go with
- 12:18Speaker 1: a guy who's a little bit down the list who
- 12:20Speaker 1: I heard is absolutely dominated and blew up practices when
- 12:23Speaker 1: they did joint practice with the Rams to the point
- 12:25Speaker 1: where many people were like, this guy's an absolute beast.
- 12:28Speaker 1: He might have a huge breakout year as far as
- 12:30Speaker 1: being one of those household names. My Defensive Player of
- 12:33Speaker 1: the Year for twenty twenty three is Max Crosby of
- 12:36Speaker 1: the Las Vegas Raiders. Going in that tradition of Howie
- 12:40Speaker 1: Long and Matt Millen and Charles Woodson and great defenders
- 12:44Speaker 1: of Raiders lore. I'm saying Crosby, who's got so many
- 12:48Speaker 1: tattoos of crazy things on his body that I think
- 12:50Speaker 1: there could be a documentary on it. He is a
- 12:54Speaker 1: student of the game. He's also an absolute madman, and
- 12:57Speaker 1: he's got those two x's on his name. I'm going
- 12:59Speaker 1: Max Crosby a little outside the box as my defensive
- 13:02Speaker 1: player of the Year. Aaron, who do you got?
- 13:04Speaker 4: Ah?
- 13:04Speaker 2: Well, again, I'm gonna be a little bit from you.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna go completely inside the box and I'm going
- 13:09Speaker 3: with Michael Parsons. I think he was second last year.
- 13:13Speaker 3: The Cowboys defense is incredible and we have high hopes
- 13:18Speaker 3: for the Cowboys as a team as a whole. And
- 13:20Speaker 3: if you're thinking that the defensive player has to be
- 13:23Speaker 3: someone who's on a really competitive team, I think the
- 13:26Speaker 3: Cowboys are definitely up there. And Parsons just changes the
- 13:31Speaker 3: way offenses have to deal with him every single down.
- 13:35Speaker 2: And I'm going with him. Okay, taking the crown this year?
- 13:38Speaker 1: Micah and Crosby. Okay, did you do playoff picks?
- 13:42Speaker 2: Aaron did?
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, let's go division by division. I'll name my
- 13:46Speaker 1: division winner, you name your division winner. Here we go
- 13:49Speaker 1: with no further ado. Peter Schragers. AFC East champion is
- 13:54Speaker 1: the New York Jets. The Bills are loaded, but I've
- 13:57Speaker 1: got the Jets beating out the Dolphins, the Bills, and
- 13:59Speaker 1: the Patriots. Aaron, who do you have as your AFC
- 14:02Speaker 1: East champion?
- 14:03Speaker 3: I tried to be as unbiased as possible, and I'm
- 14:05Speaker 3: going with the Bills.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Flow Bills, Okay, the Bills. AFC North, I'm going Bengals.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Who do you got in the FC? Going with the Bengals, Okay,
- 14:12Speaker 1: AFC South, I've got Jaguars.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I'm going the Titans.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Yeah, talk about you know we do. No one picked
- 14:17Speaker 1: him on Good Morning Football. We're hearing about it. Vrabel's
- 14:19Speaker 1: a really good coach. What's the reason Titans over Jacks?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Rabel?
- 14:22Speaker 3: Rabel and Rabel and they got Hopkins and Henry is
- 14:27Speaker 3: still amazing. Like I remember, one of the first things
- 14:30Speaker 3: you and I talked about on the show last season
- 14:33Speaker 3: was how scared I was anytime I was watching Henry
- 14:36Speaker 3: play against the Bills. He's he is incredible. And I
- 14:39Speaker 3: think that Rabel just pulls the guts out of that
- 14:43Speaker 3: team no matter what. And I think by signing Hopkins,
- 14:46Speaker 3: they showed you that they're still in this to win
- 14:49Speaker 3: and they are going to compete. And you know, the
- 14:52Speaker 3: Jags are great and their defense is a little suspect,
- 14:55Speaker 3: and I think the Titans are going to beat them out.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Okay. AFC West, I've got the Chiefs who got Kansas City. Okay.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Now this is hard because we've said this, only seven
- 15:04Speaker 1: teams can make the playoffs, and you can only get
- 15:06Speaker 1: three wildcard teams. I'm sure I caught a lot of slack.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Here are my three wild card teams. I revealed these
- 15:12Speaker 1: on Good Morning Football earlier in the week and have
- 15:14Speaker 1: been hearing from it from a lot of fans. The
- 15:17Speaker 1: first AFC wildcard team, I have Buffalo. The second AFC
- 15:20Speaker 1: wild card team, I have the Steelers. Like you, I
- 15:23Speaker 1: think Mike Tomlin is an excellent coach, and I think
- 15:25Speaker 1: Kenny Pickett makes a leap. My third AFC wildcard team,
- 15:28Speaker 1: I'm going to go all in on Sempaygeon. They got
- 15:29Speaker 1: to make the playoffs. I'm taking the Denver Broncos, which
- 15:31Speaker 1: means no Chargers, and we loved Kellen Moore on the podcast.
- 15:35Speaker 1: He was awesome. No Chargers, no Dolphins, who added a
- 15:39Speaker 1: ton and have two of the fastest wide receivers in
- 15:42Speaker 1: the sport, And of course no Ravens, which I'm let
- 15:46Speaker 1: me give you an aside here My wife is from Baltimore, Maryland.
- 15:51Speaker 1: My in laws go to every single game as season
- 15:53Speaker 1: ticket holder since they came back as an NFL franchise
- 15:56Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety six. And my father in law went
- 15:59Speaker 1: to every Baltimore Colts home game from nineteen sixty seven
- 16:02Speaker 1: to nineteen eighty three and went to every Baltimore Colts
- 16:05Speaker 1: or Baltimore raven Super Bowl. My mother in law, she
- 16:09Speaker 1: goes to every game, sitting in the cold weather out
- 16:12Speaker 1: there in Baltimore in December to watch Browns Ravens. She
- 16:15Speaker 1: is there. I have never not picked the Ravens to
- 16:18Speaker 1: make the playoffs, through fear of what that might mean
- 16:20Speaker 1: in the family, but also because of what they've built.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And yet I don't know about their defense. I just
- 16:25Speaker 1: don't know about their defense. The AFC North is loaded,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and as much as I love Todd Monkin and that
- 16:30Speaker 1: new offense and I think they could get better, I
- 16:32Speaker 1: didn't put the Ravens in the playoffs. I have the
- 16:36Speaker 1: Broncos instead. Aaron your three AFC wildcard teams.
- 16:40Speaker 4: So.
- 16:42Speaker 3: I had Titans as the AFC South and I'm gonna
- 16:45Speaker 3: have the Jags as my first wild card. Like you again,
- 16:49Speaker 3: I shouted out Tomlin earlier. I've got the Steelers and
- 16:52Speaker 3: form my third. I'm not going with the Jets. I
- 16:56Speaker 3: am going with the Ravens because I think that Lamar
- 17:01Speaker 3: seems reinvigorated hopefully, and I think that offense could be really,
- 17:06Speaker 3: really excited. I mean, the Ravens got there last year
- 17:09Speaker 3: with an offense we were all tired of and without Lamar,
- 17:12Speaker 3: and I think this year they can do well. I
- 17:15Speaker 3: know that this is a lot to have Bengals, Ravens,
- 17:18Speaker 3: Steelers all in there. It happens last year we had
- 17:20Speaker 3: three MS, and I think maybe this is like again
- 17:25Speaker 3: a little too much personal bias.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I think there's so much hype on the Jets.
- 17:29Speaker 1: And their first six weeks are really.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Hard, and I think, you know what, the Monday Night game,
- 17:34Speaker 3: the Bills may not be able to pressure that offensive
- 17:36Speaker 3: line enough. But give them a couple of weeks and
- 17:39Speaker 3: let's see what that line looks like when they're playing
- 17:42Speaker 3: the Cowboys. Like I I think that things could go
- 17:47Speaker 3: wrong for the Jets.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I so I'm gonna leave them off.
- 17:51Speaker 1: You're a hater, yeah A yeah, no Dolphins, no Chargers from.
- 17:57Speaker 2: US huh no? Yeah. I love the Dolphins. You know,
- 18:00Speaker 2: I think it'd be fun to see so many.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Rooms in the end, you know what I mean. Next up,
- 18:13Speaker 1: let's go with NFC playoff teams. I'll go first in
- 18:17Speaker 1: the East, I have the Eagles. In the North, I
- 18:20Speaker 1: went with the Lions. And I know that might not
- 18:23Speaker 1: sound shocking now after two months, but if you think
- 18:25Speaker 1: about it, I'm actually picking the Lions to win the
- 18:27Speaker 1: NFC North. If someone actually put their name on it
- 18:29Speaker 1: and say it's actually gonna happen, I'm doing it. If
- 18:31Speaker 1: you haven't noticed on this podcast, I'm really all in
- 18:33Speaker 1: on the Lions. NFC South by default, the Saints. I
- 18:38Speaker 1: don't love Carolina's depth. I have to see what Desmond
- 18:42Speaker 1: Ritter can do in a big game before, not in
- 18:44Speaker 1: college obviously who's great, but in the pros before I'd say, yes,
- 18:46Speaker 1: they're division champions and Tampa big, big unknowns all over
- 18:50Speaker 1: that roster, especially in the offensive line. So by the
- 18:52Speaker 1: Saints by default. I don't love the Saints, but I
- 18:54Speaker 1: think Saints win the division and they're one of those
- 18:55Speaker 1: like nine to eight teams that do it. And then
- 18:58Speaker 1: the West, I went the Niners. Bosa will figure itself
- 19:00Speaker 1: out and if it doesn't. I think they're still good
- 19:01Speaker 1: enough wild card teams. Where it gets tricky, I'm going
- 19:06Speaker 1: on a limb here. I have one team in the
- 19:09Speaker 1: NFC East as a wild card team, and it's not
- 19:12Speaker 1: the Cowboys. I have the Giants over the Cowboys this year.
- 19:16Speaker 1: The Cowboys have absolutely owned the Giants the last several seasons.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I think the Giants get over the hump this year.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I feel like times are changing. And it's not against
- 19:24Speaker 1: dan Quinn's defense. But you just waxed poetic on. I
- 19:27Speaker 1: don't know about the offense. I know Tony Pollard was great,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and I know Dak has had big moments and Ceedee
- 19:33Speaker 1: Lamb and Brandon Cook. Kellen Moore was really good. Kellen
- 19:37Speaker 1: Moore was really good. And you are saying we're putting
- 19:40Speaker 1: all our eggs in the Mike McCarthy basket. Let's see.
- 19:43Speaker 1: That's all I'll say. Let's see. I have the Cowboys
- 19:46Speaker 1: missing the playoffs. I have the Giants making it. I
- 19:49Speaker 1: also have the Vikings making it. And as my final
- 19:53Speaker 1: wildcard team, I have the Seahawks making it. So those
- 19:56Speaker 1: are my three teams. No Cowboys will cause quite a
- 19:59Speaker 1: reaction in Dallas, but I think the Cowboys missed the
- 20:01Speaker 1: playoffs this year. My apologies to all the major networks.
- 20:04Speaker 1: I know they make a lot of money when the
- 20:05Speaker 1: Cowboys are good.
- 20:07Speaker 2: All right.
- 20:08Speaker 3: So, NFC East, I've got the Eagles. I think that
- 20:12Speaker 3: we can't count them out. NFC North, I've got the Lions.
- 20:15Speaker 3: I think maybe I've been around you too much and
- 20:17Speaker 3: I have just inhaled too much of your Lions love,
- 20:20Speaker 3: and I am all in on them. NFC South, I
- 20:24Speaker 3: have the Falcons. I think for that division, the Saints,
- 20:29Speaker 3: like we love a lave. We think Derek Carr will
- 20:31Speaker 3: be good and the Saints defense is what we're really
- 20:34Speaker 3: excited about. But I think that Falcons offense is going
- 20:36Speaker 3: to be really exciting. They've spent but the past three years,
- 20:40Speaker 3: they've gotten an offensive, like really good offensive weapon every
- 20:46Speaker 3: single year in the first and I along with my
- 20:48Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year pick, I think Beijon is gonna
- 20:50Speaker 3: be great. I think he's gonna cannibalize the votes away
- 20:52Speaker 3: from Gibbs. So I think the Falcons will be the
- 20:54Speaker 3: division winners there, Okay. NFC West, I've got the forty
- 20:58Speaker 3: nine ers and then my wild cards Seahawks. I think
- 21:01Speaker 3: they will be even better than they were last year.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I have the Cowboys because I think what offense, yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 3: step back there is.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I still think they'll make it.
- 21:10Speaker 3: And I'm gonna go with the Vikings because I think
- 21:14Speaker 3: that I like Kirk Cousins a lot more now after
- 21:17Speaker 3: watching than Netflix show.
- 21:18Speaker 2: No Giants, No Giants.
- 21:20Speaker 3: So I have no New York teams except the Bills,
- 21:22Speaker 3: who are really the only true team that plays in
- 21:24Speaker 3: New York.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Beautiful MVP Most Valuable Player, Have you made your selection?
- 21:29Speaker 3: Yes, I am gonna go with a player who was
- 21:33Speaker 3: second place last year in voting, even though he sat
- 21:37Speaker 3: out a bunch of fourth quarters because his team was
- 21:40Speaker 3: just too good. And I think they might not have
- 21:43Speaker 3: that luxury this year, and he might have to play
- 21:45Speaker 3: a little more, get a.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Little more stats. And I think Jalen Hurts is gonna
- 21:49Speaker 2: win the MV.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, it's not Shalk, but it's it's a favorite.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm going a little deeper here. Usually it's become a
- 21:59Speaker 1: quarterbacks award in the NFL. Offensive Player of the Year
- 22:02Speaker 1: becomes the best skill position justin Jeffer So it was
- 22:06Speaker 1: the number two ranked player in the NFL Top one hundred.
- 22:09Speaker 1: He's not my pick. We love Jamar Chase and T Higgins.
- 22:15Speaker 1: They're not my pick, Noras Allen, Noras mahomes Nowhere, Norrisborough,
- 22:21Speaker 1: noras Aaron Rodgers, Norris Herbert. I'm going way down and
- 22:24Speaker 1: without knowing where he is on this list, I'm going
- 22:27Speaker 1: to put this player as my MVP, and I'm not
- 22:30Speaker 1: doing it to cause shock waves. I think this guy
- 22:33Speaker 1: has a truly historic season because I think they might
- 22:35Speaker 1: need him to. Christian McCaffrey is my selection for a
- 22:39Speaker 1: Most Valuable Player? Can I ask what the odds are
- 22:43Speaker 1: on Christian McCaffrey on whatever generic gambling site you're looking
- 22:47Speaker 1: at right now plus plus eight thousand, and what number
- 22:53Speaker 1: ranking is he that if you're counting, I think we're
- 22:55Speaker 1: going into the thirties, probably the twenty fifth ranked player
- 23:01Speaker 1: when it comes to mvbid. Now counter you this. No
- 23:04Speaker 1: one had Lamar Jackson a couple of years ago, no
- 23:06Speaker 1: one had Jalen Hurts last year. No one besides me
- 23:10Speaker 1: had my homes a few years back. God, you listened
- 23:12Speaker 1: to this for the first time. Who is this arrogant?
- 23:15Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like the Niners Arena are
- 23:18Speaker 1: gonna roll and it's gonna be on the back of
- 23:20Speaker 1: not just that defense. I think McCaffrey's gonna have a
- 23:23Speaker 1: truly historic season, and I'm going deep on the Niners.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I think the Niners behind McCaffrey and he's gonna be
- 23:29Speaker 1: the MVP.
- 23:30Speaker 2: You're not scared off at all by Shanahan saying.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Elijah, let's go. And now the granddaddy of them all
- 23:38Speaker 1: our Super Bowl predictions.
- 23:40Speaker 4: We are.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Deep into this twenty seven minutes into this podcast, and
- 23:45Speaker 1: now we will unveil our super predictions. As I said,
- 23:49Speaker 1: I have been right several times. I've had at least
- 23:52Speaker 1: one of the right two teams every year since I
- 23:54Speaker 1: began doing this on Good Morning Football since twenty sixteen.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I will defer to you in the coin toss, Aaron,
- 24:01Speaker 1: who is your Super Bowl teams? First for VALA teams,
- 24:05Speaker 1: and then reveal it your winner.
- 24:07Speaker 3: So I think we're going to have Philadelphia and Cincinnati
- 24:12Speaker 3: in the Super Bowl, which is I was glad.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I know.
- 24:18Speaker 3: I think that Cincinnati understands this is kind of their
- 24:22Speaker 3: last year with this core because they got to start
- 24:24Speaker 3: paying people and they have lou Still the defensive coordinator.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Whom we're gonna get him on the podcast.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I don't know how much he's going to stay there.
- 24:34Speaker 1: It's just as well because he had an interview with
- 24:36Speaker 1: the Cardinals. I think a lot of people thought that
- 24:37Speaker 1: was his gig and then they gave it to Jonathan
- 24:39Speaker 1: Gannon instead. But that's a whole other podcast.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that this is really their year.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Like you have these sort of quick waves of contention
- 24:49Speaker 3: and then suddenly you have to pay everyone. And I
- 24:51Speaker 3: think this is it for Cincinnati, Like this is the
- 24:54Speaker 3: peak of this group right now. And I think that
- 24:57Speaker 3: you know, they they are the only ones who've really
- 24:59Speaker 3: given Mahomes trouble.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Uh, And I think they're going to make it again
- 25:03Speaker 2: this year.
- 25:03Speaker 1: And your super Bowl winner.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Is Philadelphia the Eagle. The Eagles.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Eagles take it home and they do it in Vegas.
- 25:13Speaker 1: And a year after failing to win the Super Bowl
- 25:15Speaker 1: and coming just short, they take it home and they
- 25:17Speaker 1: win the Super Bowl all right, which leads to my
- 25:21Speaker 1: pick out of the NFC.
- 25:27Speaker 3: So dramatic, better build up. I should have taken a
- 25:30Speaker 3: little more time.
- 25:31Speaker 1: And you were the appetizer, bro is perfect. You were
- 25:33Speaker 1: great out of the NFC. A team that's been through
- 25:40Speaker 1: adversity has made many questionable decisions over the last several years.
- 25:46Speaker 1: At the end of the day, when you get to
- 25:47Speaker 1: January football, they're as tough as they come. They're always there,
- 25:52Speaker 1: and I think this is the year that they not
- 25:54Speaker 1: only host the NFC Championship Game, they win the NFC
- 26:00Speaker 1: Championship Game. My winners from the NFC the San Francis
- 26:06Speaker 1: Go forty nine ers. I think they play a punishing
- 26:08Speaker 1: brand of football that is with Nick Bosa or without.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I think their defense always sets the standard. And as
- 26:14Speaker 1: much as I love Demko Ryans, I don't think they
- 26:16Speaker 1: missed that much of a beat without him. They keep ongoing.
- 26:20Speaker 1: They've got young talent at every position there and then
- 26:22Speaker 1: on offense, Kyle Shanahan is a mad genius. I think
- 26:25Speaker 1: he finally has a quarterback that can operate his offense
- 26:28Speaker 1: that he believes he can put in trust and really
- 26:30Speaker 1: get them over the hump. He's a former mister Irrelevant
- 26:33Speaker 1: and that is okay. I've got McCaffrey as my MVP.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I think Deebo has a big year. I think Ayuk
- 26:38Speaker 1: is a big year. I think Trent Williams might going
- 26:41Speaker 1: out on a swan song. Here in his last couple
- 26:43Speaker 1: of seasons, but I think he's still the best tackle
- 26:45Speaker 1: in the league. I am going with the San Francisco
- 26:47Speaker 1: forty nine ers as my team out of the NFC.
- 26:52Speaker 1: As for the AFC really really struggled with this. I
- 26:59Speaker 1: had the jets and pencil for several weeks and I
- 27:03Speaker 1: erased it out and I said, God, Buffalo sure does
- 27:08Speaker 1: look good. You know, Buffalo, no one's talking about him.
- 27:11Speaker 1: That's exactly how I like my teams. Just be under
- 27:13Speaker 1: the radar. Everyone talk about everyone else. We bring back everybody.
- 27:16Speaker 1: We're not dealing with it tomorrow, Hamlin, you know situation
- 27:19Speaker 1: on a weekly basis that's absolutely soul crushing and emotional.
- 27:22Speaker 1: And come in with a full tank of gats. Let's
- 27:24Speaker 1: just run through the league. I like Buffalo a lot
- 27:26Speaker 1: this year. Cincinnati, you mentioned it the window. This is
- 27:31Speaker 1: their time. If they don't do it now, do they
- 27:33Speaker 1: still bring back to Higgins and Chase and all these guys.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Is just the last time this core group is going
- 27:37Speaker 1: to be together. Then there's Jacksonville. Jacksonville has the fifth
- 27:41Speaker 1: easiest schedule in the league. They've got an amazing young
- 27:45Speaker 1: crop of players. I love their second round running back
- 27:48Speaker 1: Tank Briggsby. I believe his name biggs By runs. I
- 27:55Speaker 1: really like all those teams. Yeah, I can't pick against
- 27:59Speaker 1: the Chiefs. I don't care if Chris Jones is there.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I don't care if Tyreek Hill's not there. I don't
- 28:05Speaker 1: care if any of those guys are there. I can't
- 28:07Speaker 1: pick against the Chiefs. The Chiefs have been the standard
- 28:10Speaker 1: and last year was a great lesson. I stuck with them.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I picked them to the wins Super Bowl despite losing Tyreek Hill.
- 28:15Speaker 1: I think I might have been in an island on
- 28:16Speaker 1: that and that sounds wild considering how much success they have.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I will not pick against Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelcey
- 28:22Speaker 1: until I am forced to. And I am not forced
- 28:25Speaker 1: to pick against them. They are still at the peak
- 28:26Speaker 1: of their game. I had a chance to spend time
- 28:28Speaker 1: with them this offseason at that Big Slick Charity Classic,
- 28:32Speaker 1: and I was hanging with them, and I swear to God,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I left that thing being like, those guys are great,
- 28:35Speaker 1: And then I talked to us some people around the league,
- 28:37Speaker 1: and I'm like, I don't know. They seem to be
- 28:39Speaker 1: having a little too good of a time this offseason
- 28:41Speaker 1: with the golf and this, and they're at concerts and
- 28:43Speaker 1: it's like Mahomes and Kelsey are everywhere in the podcast
- 28:46Speaker 1: and you want to start turning away, and then you're like,
- 28:48Speaker 1: holy crap, they're just so good. I am going with
- 28:50Speaker 1: the Chiefs. I don't know how they get there. I
- 28:52Speaker 1: don't know if it's through a one seed and they
- 28:54Speaker 1: host all these games a arrowhead. I don't know if
- 28:56Speaker 1: they've got to go on the road. But like I said,
- 29:00Speaker 1: if it's one of those deals, my eyes will not
- 29:02Speaker 1: deceive me. And if there's a fourth quarter and Patrick
- 29:04Speaker 1: Mahomes needs to get it done in a big spot,
- 29:06Speaker 1: out and done every single time, I'm going with Kansas City. Now,
- 29:09Speaker 1: this was a Super Bowl a few years back in Miami.
- 29:11Speaker 1: We go from one party city to the next. We
- 29:13Speaker 1: go to Vegas. Forty nine Ers versus Chiefs, the Super
- 29:18Speaker 1: Bowl champions for the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on CBS.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Drum roll, please eron.
- 29:24Speaker 4: But the Kansas City Chiefs will be your first back
- 29:30Speaker 4: to back Super Bowl champion winners since the New England
- 29:32Speaker 4: Patriots did it in two thousand and three and two
- 29:34Speaker 4: thousand and four.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I am going with the Chiefs. I love what they
- 29:38Speaker 1: are all about. I love that people are doubting them,
- 29:41Speaker 1: and I love the fact that Mahomes and Kelsey are
- 29:45Speaker 1: ready to go. I think Chris Jones hopefully figures this
- 29:48Speaker 1: thing out, but I would not pick against them because
- 29:50Speaker 1: of the lack of Chris Jones. I learned that last year.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Don't pick against them because I wane individual player. What
- 29:54Speaker 1: they've built there is too strong. I've got the Kansas
- 29:57Speaker 1: City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, and with that, I
- 30:00Speaker 1: bid you farewell. Enjoy this first weekend of games. Aaron,
- 30:04Speaker 1: good job. How'd it feel getting all those out?
- 30:07Speaker 3: If like a weight has been lifted for me to
- 30:11Speaker 3: to to wax poetic on Anthony Richardson a little bit
- 30:15Speaker 3: and and to publicly say that I don't believe.
- 30:18Speaker 2: In any of the new Jersey teams as well.
- 30:20Speaker 1: So can I tell you something? As I say it
- 30:21Speaker 1: out loud, and we haven't done these picks on Good
- 30:23Speaker 1: Morning FOOTBA yet as we're recording, this doesn't feel great.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I kind of want to now, like, now that I've
- 30:28Speaker 1: said it and it's going to be recorded, I'm not
- 30:31Speaker 1: one hundred percent sure with my picks, and I kind
- 30:33Speaker 1: of want to just go like Lions Jets and kind
- 30:35Speaker 1: of say get and be like I think it's to
- 30:37Speaker 1: me Lion's Jets and be that guy. I'm really tempted
- 30:40Speaker 1: I could change my pick for Good Morning Football. I
- 30:43Speaker 1: love those teams. Should I change my picks to Lion?
- 30:46Speaker 1: This is what happens. This is like the inside, you know,
- 30:48Speaker 1: like the neuroses of like Woody Allen and all. This
- 30:51Speaker 1: is what I've got going on in my head when
- 30:52Speaker 1: it comes to football. Should I change it to Lions Jets?
- 30:55Speaker 1: Or Am I going to be laughed off the earth?
- 30:58Speaker 3: You know, that's as close as your son's guests will
- 31:00Speaker 3: be if you if you did Lion's Jets, because it
- 31:03Speaker 3: can't be Lion's Giants.
- 31:04Speaker 2: So you know people will.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Remember that, Jason, my career is important to me. And
- 31:12Speaker 1: when you hit that long Grand Slam, people remember when
- 31:14Speaker 1: I say Chiefs over Niners, it's like great for my
- 31:17Speaker 1: own personal pride. But gosh, if I said Jets over
- 31:20Speaker 1: Lions in the Super Bowl, what would the reaction be?
- 31:25Speaker 1: And I don't do it for clicks, so I usually
- 31:27Speaker 1: go standard and here's who I really think, and I'm
- 31:29Speaker 1: usually right, but I'm tempted to just say it.
- 31:34Speaker 3: All right, but you're sitting there, you're watching the playoffs,
- 31:38Speaker 3: it's Lions forty nine ers.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Are you really going to still feel good at that moment?
- 31:42Speaker 4: Right?
- 31:42Speaker 1: The Lions defense can't stop that Kyle? And like, is
- 31:45Speaker 1: Dan Campbell gonna out coach Kyle Shanahan in the NFC
- 31:48Speaker 1: Championship game? Yeah? Are are they? Like basically you're asking,
- 31:51Speaker 1: can the Lions go into or host Can they beat
- 31:54Speaker 1: San Francisco Philadelphia in Dallas? Can they do that? They
- 31:58Speaker 1: have to win multiple games? I don't know. So No, Okay,
- 32:00Speaker 1: we're keeping the Niners the Chiefs. Is it even a
- 32:03Speaker 1: big splash? If I said Bill's No, is it a
- 32:06Speaker 1: big flash? If I said Bengals, No, it's the Jets
- 32:08Speaker 1: that are keeping me up. Do I say Jets? But
- 32:11Speaker 1: then if I say Jets, I've got the Jets beating
- 32:14Speaker 1: the beating the forty nine ers. Well that's what they
- 32:17Speaker 1: said on that It hard knocks. That crazy mentalist guy
- 32:20Speaker 1: came on right, like, Jets will beat the Niners. Nicole
- 32:22Speaker 1: Hardman predicted it. Yeah, do I go with Oz the mentalist? Gosh,
- 32:29Speaker 1: I guess I'm staying with the Chiefs. I say, I
- 32:32Speaker 1: should probably be pretty you know, convicted here, but I'm not.
- 32:36Speaker 3: I think even if you were serious about the Jets,
- 32:40Speaker 3: and I realize even when I picked the Bengals, I
- 32:43Speaker 3: had to mention Kansas City. I had to say Cincinnati
- 32:47Speaker 3: is the only team that really gives Kansas City trouble.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Like it's still what if the games are play what
- 32:51Speaker 1: if the Jets are the one seed they get a bye.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I guess I'm saying they can beat the Bills, Bengals
- 32:57Speaker 1: in Chiefs and back to back weeks like those, like
- 32:59Speaker 1: the Jaguars can come in and that's like, all right,
- 33:00Speaker 1: the Jets are gonna beat the Jaguars, and then the
- 33:03Speaker 1: Bengals come in, or the Chiefs come in and they're
- 33:05Speaker 1: gonna beat them like they a lot to go, right.
- 33:07Speaker 1: You put myhomes in Jacksonville, you put my homes in Cincinnati,
- 33:10Speaker 1: you put my homes in Buffalo. I think Mahomes can
- 33:12Speaker 1: win it. I haven't seen the Jets do it, and
- 33:14Speaker 1: I haven't seen Rogers do it. To be honest, He's
- 33:17Speaker 1: won a lot of playoff games, but he's not been
- 33:19Speaker 1: the most clutch guy on the road in recent years,
- 33:21Speaker 1: and he not even in Lambeau. So all right, I'm
- 33:23Speaker 1: staying with my picks, Chiefs over Niners. I'm just like
- 33:27Speaker 1: every other freaking pundit. It just goes off into the ether.
- 33:29Speaker 1: But I'll pin it on my Twitter profile and I'll
- 33:31Speaker 1: go for the streak and I'll go for the stable
- 33:34Speaker 1: standard answer. I don't think I was trying to make
- 33:36Speaker 1: any clicks here, but if you're a podcast listener, you
- 33:39Speaker 1: know I try to take swings, and this one I'm
- 33:40Speaker 1: taking it safe, all right. So you've got Eagles over Bengals,
- 33:44Speaker 1: I've got Chiefs over forty nine ers, and you, my
- 33:48Speaker 1: friends who are listening, just got forty minutes of some
- 33:50Speaker 1: freaking great entertainment. Enjoy the games this weekend and enjoy
- 33:54Speaker 1: the NFL season until next week. This is Aaron, Peter
- 33:56Speaker 1: and Jason English over here from my heart. That's what
- 34:00Speaker 1: we lift all those weights. Where go enjoy the year.
