- 0:24Where am I? Hello. Hello. Good morning. Good
- 0:28morning Happy Tuesday. It is Tuesday, right September
- 0:328th. It is Tuesday It is I like I like when we
- 0:38start the week and it's almost the middle of
- 0:39the week It's a good feeling yeah, that's good
- 0:44It is a good feeling America should go to a four
- 0:47-day work week for sure Considering that there's
- 0:51not any jobs. It should be easy to do That's
- 0:55true. There was, we've punted on this story,
- 0:58but there was like a big study done about like
- 1:01a four -day work week. I got to find it and we
- 1:03should talk about that because this obviously
- 1:06makes a lot of sense for us. So you were tuned
- 1:08into the TMI show, the Ted Manila Information
- 1:10Show. It's TMI for short because we bring you
- 1:12Way too much information a big shout out to brings
- 1:15true Thank you so much for rating the stream
- 1:18and bringing your people here to or or you know,
- 1:21you might get hate for it later, but But we appreciate
- 1:25you guys. No, no, no, it'll it's all it's all
- 1:28sweetness and light here on tmi show. Thanks
- 1:30for coming over That's right. It is all light
- 1:34and love and happiness. I'm Manila Chan. That's
- 1:36Ted Raul producer Robbie lurking in the background
- 1:39I'm gonna pop him on in a minute. He has some
- 1:41housekeeping to do Please remember to hit the
- 1:44like the share the subscribe button all that
- 1:45good stuff So you can help our little show continue
- 1:48to grow as we try to navigate whatever the hell
- 1:51is happening with Rumble because I know Robbie's
- 1:55really angry about this and he's had all weekend
- 1:58all Long weekend ruminate I'm not happy about
- 2:03it either But we still are here Monday through
- 2:06Friday 10 a .m. Eastern time. We're trying to
- 2:08make this work So I have a feeling that's what
- 2:10the housekeeping is about but I also I'm gonna
- 2:13put Robbie on later to talk about The German
- 2:16elections anyway, but so with that producer Robbie
- 2:19What is the housekeeping? housekeeping is we
- 2:23are going to start making a intentional pivot
- 2:26over to YouTube And we're not leaving Rumble.
- 2:30We're not abandoning Rumble. It's just Rumble
- 2:32is forcing us literally into the loving arms
- 2:35of YouTube with the way that they're now doing
- 2:37their economics, which if anyone watches, has
- 2:40watched this for any length of time knows I despise
- 2:43YouTube. Do you think, you know, Rumble is based
- 2:47in, in Canada, home of the terrorist fires. Do
- 2:52you think this is all part of Canada's Canada's
- 2:56attack on the United States, which of course
- 2:59is the u .s. Being pure and innocent noble of
- 3:02heart not having started any of this with Canada
- 3:05You know more I heard my carny this morning Talking
- 3:09to the press and he did say Something about the
- 3:13u .s. Throwing shade. I mean, that's a quote.
- 3:16He said the u .s. Throwing shade on Canada No,
- 3:21this isn't and they have more shape and up north.
- 3:24They have a lot more shade than we have So it's
- 3:26already they have too much shade. No, this is
- 3:29the tilt of the planet Yeah, no, this is nothing
- 3:33to do with that This is to do with the fact that
- 3:35Rumble is making a pivot into the AI space like
- 3:38a hard pivot They're trying to marry AI with
- 3:40robotics, which that's gonna be the next generation.
- 3:43That's what's coming I think they over I think
- 3:46they overpaid for companies they couldn't afford
- 3:48to and now they're broke Yeah, that's a big part
- 3:51of it, because they bought a company that's called
- 3:53Northern Data, and they did it by diluting their
- 3:56shares. And so they've got to recoup that cost.
- 3:58And so how do you do that? Well, the one cost
- 4:01that you're able to really control, since Google
- 4:03owns over 90 % of the ad space, is your Crater
- 4:08payouts. So what Rumble is doing, if you're a
- 4:12Rumble creator, your Rumble Crater payout is
- 4:16a staggering 160 bucks. It does not matter if
- 4:22you bring in 600 watch hours, it does not matter
- 4:24if you bring in 6 ,000 watch hours. Yeah, on
- 4:26deprogram, like at peak deprogram, Rumble, there
- 4:31was a month when Rumble paid like four grand
- 4:33and now we're down to like 160 bucks. And deprogram
- 4:39is a bigger show than it was then. It's $160
- 4:44across the board unless you're a contracted creator
- 4:47with Rumble. So if you're Kim Iverson or Steven
- 4:49Crowder, you're fine. You're taken care of. But
- 4:51if you're an independent show, and by independent
- 4:54I mean like what you're saying right here, then
- 4:58you get sodomized. And so as a result, I'm not
- 5:03taking a paycheck from Rumble because you can't
- 5:05split 160 bucks three ways. So my gaming channel...
- 5:10Well, you can. I mean, you'll be able to get
- 5:15yourself maybe two meals of Chick -fil -A and
- 5:18then you're done. But the point I'm trying to
- 5:19make is like, you can't make a living that way.
- 5:23My gaming channel is now exclusively over on
- 5:26YouTube, which sucks. I hate it. Wow. But that's
- 5:29where I am because, well, here's the thing. Rumble
- 5:34has a way where you can become a paid channel
- 5:37subscriber for five bucks. That's it. That's
- 5:40the only tier. So if you want to donate more,
- 5:42you have to do it through Rumble Rants, in which
- 5:44case Rumble then takes 40%. Or you go through
- 5:47PayPal or some place like that where you're able
- 5:49to rely on third party donations or to make that
- 5:51happen. YouTube makes it a lot easier. So you're
- 5:55able to become a channel subscriber from two
- 5:57bucks, which is what I do, up to 25 for a max.
- 6:01Whereas with Rumble, you can't do that. And so
- 6:04that's the pivot. What we're gonna be doing is
- 6:08every day I'm gonna be putting up shorts, clips
- 6:10and things over on YouTube in addition to here
- 6:12on Rumble. We are still gonna be pushing the
- 6:15creator program for TMI and the program here
- 6:18on Rumble. But for my gaming channel, West Glacier
- 6:22Gaming, I'm only on YouTube. I am done with them.
- 6:26Yikes, man. I mean, I don't think we're that
- 6:28far behind. We have to figure out a new strategy
- 6:31with this new I mean, I don't know how to work
- 6:34with this new rumble. I mean, you can't. I don't
- 6:37know what they're. We just can't. That's the
- 6:39thing. We can't. What we do is we can't even
- 6:41pay the bills. We keep rumble going, but it's
- 6:45just not our priority. It's like a side. It's
- 6:47a side hustle. One of the things that rumble
- 6:49is going to be doing is that and they've been
- 6:51teasing this. Jeff Dornick, friend of the show,
- 6:54he's in the beta where you can pay to boost a
- 6:57stream so you can pay. You can pay an amount
- 6:59of money. It's got pay to play. And then you
- 7:01get a higher revenue ad share. And one of the
- 7:06things I did over the weekend, because I'm a
- 7:07nerd, I went in and I grabbed all of the data
- 7:12from Putin by Gaming, dProgram, and TMI. Rumble
- 7:17now directly competes with its creators for ad
- 7:22revenue. And I brought the receipts. I'll drop
- 7:26the link in the chat. Manila, I sent it to you.
- 7:29It's a link. That's a article that I did on that
- 7:33push over on pickaxe. Oh, I read directly. Yeah,
- 7:37me too. How rumble rumble the the platform takes
- 7:42the lion's share of ad revenue that they then
- 7:45keep. And that's how rumble was going through.
- 7:48That's how they're paying their creators always
- 7:49are paying their creators. That is now completely
- 7:52gone. And if you want access to that, when this
- 7:54when this boosting system comes out, you have
- 7:57to pay rumble. to boost your stream in addition
- 8:00to paying them to be a member of the creator
- 8:02program, because you're going to have a Rumble
- 8:03premium in order to have access to that particular
- 8:06market share. That's what they're doing. And
- 8:09they're doing it because they're making a concerted
- 8:11push into AI. They've got to reduce their debt.
- 8:14They've got to buy back stock in order to make
- 8:16that happen. They are deliberately fucking the
- 8:19little guy. Yeah. So they basically flipped from
- 8:25their business model being not even Oppositional
- 8:29direct competitor to YouTube because they were
- 8:31aiming for for live streaming. Whereas YouTube
- 8:33is a video platform They were aiming for live
- 8:35streaming and then suddenly here we are where
- 8:39they've completely flipped into We want to be
- 8:42an AI company like that's like saying Okay, we
- 8:47are I hop we're competing against Waffle House.
- 8:50But now they're like, yeah, but now we're gonna
- 8:53be We're not gonna be I hop we're gonna be We're
- 8:56going to be Ross, dress for less. What? That's
- 9:01not what I came here for. I came here for pancakes.
- 9:05To be fair, Rumble can't compete with YouTube
- 9:10on the video ad space because YouTube has a monopoly.
- 9:14I know. YouTube owes over 90 % of the market.
- 9:20So the AI pivot makes sense. I get why they're
- 9:22doing it. But it screws everyone that helped
- 9:25build their platform to this point, including
- 9:27creators like that. Well, everybody's going to
- 9:31leave. I mean, that'll be it. I mean, this is
- 9:33the beginning of the end. I mean, look, this
- 9:36is something I saw in, you know, in print media
- 9:39when it's just like when everybody was just,
- 9:43you know, the payments would start shrinking
- 9:45and getting slower and then, you know, you know,
- 9:48they're going to be out of business. They will
- 9:51be out of business. They don't know. I just dropped
- 9:57that link in the chat again. I bring receipts,
- 9:59everything that I do. I always document whatever
- 10:02it is I'm working with. It's part of my job.
- 10:05And so I went in, I used Rumble's own data, complete
- 10:09with screenshots. So this is not some boring
- 10:12white paper. Y 'all know me. I don't do boring.
- 10:15It's not how I roll. But if you want to know
- 10:18what I found, take a look at that. I think I
- 10:21just shared yeah, if you're I mean if you're
- 10:23a rumble creator, it's kind of essential to read
- 10:25I don't know if everybody else has to read it,
- 10:27but I do think Well, if everybody else will find
- 10:30it like useful if it's a hobby to you It doesn't
- 10:34matter. But if you're trying to build a business
- 10:36rumble like what we were doing the economics
- 10:39matter Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, we've been at this what
- 10:43what Ted to Two years as a by by next month.
- 10:47It'll be two years. I believe it was right after
- 10:50Joe Biden laid us all off And and there was a
- 10:55big hubbub by oh gosh a hullabaloo as it were
- 11:00was it NPR that was talking. No, not NPR. That's
- 11:03talking shit about us who it voice of America
- 11:06Mm -hmm was a voice of America that was giving
- 11:08us all the original bad press Yep Especially
- 11:13you they use I'm kind of insulted they decided
- 11:16to go with you obviously because they you were
- 11:19my plus one That's true. Maybe they were trying
- 11:22to make sure I couldn't figure out if they thought
- 11:24you were more if they just didn't like you or
- 11:27if it was because you're the lady or because
- 11:30they were like they can make you the yellow Mellow
- 11:32the yellow menace or whether they can know you
- 11:35were Yeah, that might be it well you were RT
- 11:41as well as Yeah, I was never. Right. So I was
- 11:45like double. I was never on staff. I've been
- 11:47on RT a billion times, but not as a right. Not
- 11:50as a host. So that's yeah. So I was thinking,
- 11:52oh, this is going to be good. They're giving
- 11:54us so much shade right at the launch. Like we're
- 11:56about to launch TMI and these people are giving
- 11:58us so much shade. So I thought, great. And then
- 12:02rumble two years later, less than two years in.
- 12:05They're like pulling the rug out from under us.
- 12:07So it's like we have we keep the eyeballs there.
- 12:11That's what rumble asked us to do we did it people
- 12:16don't change the channel and This is the thanks
- 12:20we get so I don't know what else a black spot
- 12:24Thank you so much for the donation just a donation
- 12:26for a donate for donation sake. Thank you black
- 12:29Spock on on YouTube And Philip Blair on YouTube
- 12:35says rumble is where cancelled youtubers went
- 12:37where will you go now? Well, we're We're not...
- 12:43Well, I'm afraid that... Believe it or not, YouTube
- 12:45does seem to be... YouTube's cannily seems to
- 12:50be well aware of the Rumble situation and seems
- 12:53to be like, you know, being a little friendlier
- 12:56than they used to be. Yeah, there's something
- 12:58happening with YouTube like... I'm getting mixed
- 13:01signals from them. I don't know, but I was one
- 13:03of those cancelled reporters on YouTube for daring
- 13:08to speak truth to power, but... You know, we'll
- 13:12see what happens. So if we move completely over
- 13:14to YouTube and if they cancel us there, it'll
- 13:17be for a multitude of reasons. It could be for
- 13:20our white nationalist Robbie. No, we're not leaving
- 13:26rumble. It's just what we're having to do is
- 13:28that we've got to build. If you are on rumble,
- 13:30you like rumble. Nothing's going to change. We're
- 13:33just going to. Yeah. We're just going to be thinking
- 13:36more about YouTube, but we still love you Rumblers.
- 13:39You know, that's not the issue. We love the Rumblers.
- 13:42So we're going to, yeah, we're going to sort
- 13:43it out. So, I mean, the only reason I'm moving
- 13:45the gaming channel, the only reason I'm moving
- 13:47the gaming channel completely over to YouTube
- 13:50is because it doesn't make any sense to split
- 13:52the audience for me because YouTube pays more,
- 13:55pays more ad revenue. Also, if someone, because
- 14:00I got bills, I got to pay too. And so if people
- 14:02want to support me directly, It's easier to do
- 14:05it on YouTube than it is on Rumble because you
- 14:07can pay more. Or number two, on Rumble, you can
- 14:10only become a paid channel subscriber during
- 14:12a live stream. Whereas on YouTube, you can do
- 14:15it whenever. It doesn't make a difference. So
- 14:18for me, it's a different story. Now, to your
- 14:21point, Ted, with YouTube, YouTube is not kinder
- 14:25or gentler. They will drop the hammer on you
- 14:27so freaking fast, it will make your head spin.
- 14:30Out of the blue. Out of the blue. They'll drop
- 14:34the anvil on you like Wile E. Coyote, right?
- 14:37Like just bonk and you're gone. For no reason.
- 14:40No warning. That's what happened to me. On Rumble,
- 14:43I could post the spicy stuff, but over on YouTube
- 14:46though, I got to be careful and curate what is
- 14:48I put on there, especially if I go on a full
- 14:50on tear. So like these, when I do that? Yeah,
- 14:57those can't go on YouTube. Let's take a look
- 14:59on YouTube. These spicy fiery Robbie rants have
- 15:02to stay on Rumble. So that's where we know the
- 15:06warning goes. And then Rumble will get paid for
- 15:07it and we won't. So that's going to be the new
- 15:09market. Read that article that I shared with
- 15:12you all. It is eye -opening. Robbie has all the
- 15:15numbers. Robbie's all data -rific. Data -tastic.
- 15:22Data -tastic. So there you go. Thank you, Ray,
- 15:25for the $10. Oh, thank you, Ray. Ray, you're
- 15:29awesome. Thank you. We're very, very, very disappointed
- 15:33with the changes that they made. Like it really
- 15:37drastically cut into the earnings. And we were
- 15:40just starting to build. We were just starting
- 15:42to build and finally like pick up steam and being
- 15:45able to pay our bills and stuff. And then the
- 15:50rug gets pulled out. So I don't know. Well, don't
- 15:53worry. You can always pay to play later on. Well,
- 15:57let's move on. We are 22 minutes in. We have
- 16:00stories to do. Kvetching must wait another time.
- 16:05Yeah, Robbie's gonna pop back on anyways because
- 16:07I know he has things to say about the German
- 16:09election. So let's rock and roll. All right.
- 16:16So I got a buddy out there. I need to ask him
- 16:19what's going on now, now that the AFD has won
- 16:22huge, bigly, bigly. They won bigly in Saxony
- 16:28-Anhalt. So Germany's political establishment
- 16:31just received a very loud message from the former
- 16:34East Germany. The right -wing alternative for
- 16:37Germany or AFD, because the D is Deutschland,
- 16:40finished just short of an outright majority on
- 16:43Sunday's state election in Saxony -Anhalt. The
- 16:46result dealt a major defeat to Chancellor Friedrich
- 16:50Mers and his Christian Democratic Union. Who
- 16:54ted by the way, just promised to give them all
- 16:57of their patriot missile batteries to ukraine
- 17:00Today just right now well like Okay, yeah Okay,
- 17:05like because getting your ass whooped by the
- 17:08afd on sunday wasn't enough. You're like, you
- 17:10know what? We're just gonna give All the patriots
- 17:13to ukraine. Why not? Because well, I mean by
- 17:16the way, did you see that report I put up in
- 17:18the chat about how ukraine is? There was just
- 17:22an audit basically all all the weapons that we
- 17:26send them they just sell on the black market
- 17:28I know because they some of them wound up like
- 17:33some RPGs and stuff wound up south of the border
- 17:36in Mexico some of the cartels have them like
- 17:39this is the thing look it up a true story so
- 17:43the the right -wing alternative for Germany AFD
- 17:45finished we already said that so a staggering
- 17:4887 percent of voters surveyed said they were
- 17:51dissatisfied with Mertz's government. Another
- 17:58poll found three quarters believed that the chancellor
- 18:05had personally damaged his party's performance.
- 18:09Mertz reportedly told CDU leaders the results
- 18:13had shaken the party to its very foundations.
- 18:16He nevertheless ruled out cooperating with AFD,
- 18:19which hopes its Saxony -Anhalt victory will propel
- 18:22it toward national power in Germany's 2029 election.
- 18:26The vote centered heavily on the cost of living,
- 18:29pensions and Germany's stagnant economy. Saxony
- 18:33-Anhalt has an unemployment rate roughly around
- 18:368 % and has lost about one quarter of its population
- 18:39since reunification in 1990. Business groups
- 18:43warned that an AFD victory could discourage foreign
- 18:47investment and make it harder to recruit skilled
- 18:49workers. Voters appeared unmoved by that. Working
- 18:52-class residents, young people, and men backed
- 18:55the party in huge numbers. The AFD's 35 -year
- 18:59-old candidate, one Ulrich Sigmund, built a strong
- 19:04social media presence and promised to restore
- 19:06a safer, more familiar Germany, he says. His
- 19:10party prevailed despite being classified as right
- 19:13-wing extremists by the state's domestic intelligence
- 19:15agency. The final result is also rattling leaders
- 19:19beyond Germany. France's finance minister called
- 19:21it very, very worrying signals. As France faces
- 19:25the possibility of its own right -wing populist
- 19:27victory, Germany's establishment keeps warning
- 19:30voters about the AFD. Voters keep warning the
- 19:33establishment about everything else. Robbie's,
- 19:37I know over there laughing and smiling. So one,
- 19:40the guy I know who is like, I mean, this is not
- 19:45a knock on him. He looks like a grownup kid from
- 19:49Children of the Corn. You know what I mean, right?
- 19:55Like super pale skin. Or Village of the Damned.
- 19:59Or that yeah, like the palest blonde hair you'll
- 20:02ever see the lightest But I would like yes, he's
- 20:09East German he's in Saxony on hold But it's he's
- 20:14not racist. He's my friend. He's not racist,
- 20:16but he has a Racist friend, you know, it is possible.
- 20:20That's true. It's probably possible. I don't
- 20:22think he's racist though No, I could be a racist
- 20:24friend if you want you But I don't think this
- 20:28German guy that I know I don't think he is and
- 20:32I think his concerns are legitimate Just like
- 20:34many of the voters here in the US they are pissed
- 20:37off about immigration They are pissed off of
- 20:40like for example Volkswagen closing factories
- 20:43for the first time since the founding by the
- 20:46Fuhrer And if they've never closed up shop before
- 20:49they are shutting shop like in multiple states
- 20:52across Germany The German economy used to be
- 20:56the economic powerhouse in Europe, and now it's
- 21:01not. And France is struggling to chug along and
- 21:04keep the whole EU idea going. But they're going
- 21:08to be in trouble, too, because I think Marine
- 21:10Le Pen is going to win. I think this is all a
- 21:13sign that this whole global citizen scheme is
- 21:21not working. It ain't gonna work. I think the
- 21:24whole Soros backed idea of like no borders and
- 21:28everybody can go everywhere because we are global
- 21:31says global Except the thing here's the thing
- 21:34Manila. It's not it's it's such a lie The vision
- 21:39is that basically capital is fluid The capital
- 21:44is a global citizen like the rich the powerful
- 21:47the corporations They can they can like find
- 21:50like, you know, we can get someone to build our
- 21:53we can we can get a 12 year old girl Chained
- 21:55to a sewing machine in malaysia To we can pay
- 21:59her. She's retired by then nine had 14 cents
- 22:03an hour to have her do it until she drops dead
- 22:06Um, and you know, but we the people the vast
- 22:11majority of the people of the world We don't
- 22:14have that fluidity. We are not able to say, oh,
- 22:18you know, the highest salaries in the world are
- 22:19paid in Qatar. So I'm going to go move there
- 22:22and make $180 ,000 a year doing political analysis.
- 22:26Like, no, that's not open. So it's all to their
- 22:30advantage. It's all to our disadvantage. That's
- 22:33why people are pissed off. Yes, Sierra Juliet
- 22:37Mike says my very close German friends are celebrating
- 22:40this when Germans want Germany back. Yeah, I
- 22:43agree I know a few Germans, but only one that
- 22:45I talked to with any regularity It's the the
- 22:48super blonde guy in Saxony on home and he supported
- 22:52the AFD and he he had pushed back and he's like
- 22:55Dude, do I seem racist to you? I mean he's I've
- 22:57known him for years and he's like we are not
- 23:00against like ethnic other people of ethnic minorities
- 23:05It's we don't want the mass immigration. We want
- 23:09our state back. We want our country back We want
- 23:11jobs for us. We we've heard this before Robbie
- 23:14like this is This is everywhere people are pissed
- 23:18Germany has a has a continuous history of about
- 23:211800 years starting with the Holy Roman Empire
- 23:24up to today they have no obligation to commit
- 23:28national suicide because of a 13 year span of
- 23:31history and Don't come up with a Holocaust because
- 23:34the British Empire killed far more people than
- 23:37Nazi Germany did. Stalin's Russia killed far
- 23:41more people than Nazi Germany did. That's not
- 23:43actually numerically true, Robbie. The Nazis
- 23:49definitely hold the record. I mean, they're pushing
- 23:52a hundred million people. Okay, so how many people
- 23:55did Stalin kill that this purges? Not a hundred
- 23:58million. And then, well, how many? Give me the
- 24:00number. Well, it depends on how you count. So,
- 24:05you know, I mean ten to fifteen million. What's
- 24:07a hundred million Ted? What are you saying is
- 24:09a hundred million? What Stalin? No, no. Oh, you
- 24:13said Stalin. Okay, not not hit. No Hitler killed
- 24:16about a hundred million people. I'm talking about
- 24:18the Holocaust. I'm not talking about the total
- 24:19cost of World War two. Wait, wait, so wait, how
- 24:22come you're gonna carve out the Holocaust, which
- 24:25is really about 25 million people. We're talking
- 24:28about all the non -Jews, right? No, we're talking
- 24:31about within state borders. Yeah, the Holocaust
- 24:34is the hammer that's always used to smack the
- 24:38Germans like you don't know you don't deserve
- 24:39I mean, it's a pretty big fucking hammer. They
- 24:42have it coming Yeah, but do you but does the
- 24:45nation have to commit suicide as a result? I
- 24:48say no also the Japanese are defined suicidal
- 24:51defined suicide I don't believe in paying for
- 24:55sins of the father either like the the people
- 24:57alive today Weren't in the SS the people the
- 25:01young the people that are my age now that are
- 25:03suffering and can't afford to keep a roof over
- 25:06their heads and pay for You know heating over
- 25:09the winter sure families warm But if there was
- 25:12going to be if there was going to be an Israel
- 25:14it should have been taken from Bavaria not from
- 25:17Palestinians who had nothing to do with it If
- 25:20they and and like also is probably Germany lost
- 25:23its right to have a country because of the Holocaust,
- 25:27they should have been carved up into 26 zones
- 25:29like de Gaulle wanted. Okay, so then you're all
- 25:33about, okay, at least I know where you stand,
- 25:35at least you're consistent with your communist
- 25:37upbringing. Thank you. But to get back to the
- 25:41point about why this German party has won the
- 25:46election is because they Our team Robbie on this
- 25:50and they don't think that they have to commit
- 25:51national suicide on the altar of white guilt
- 25:54Define suicide. What do you mean? Like the migration
- 25:57or what? My migration plunging birth rates the
- 26:01economy collapsing the country being carved up
- 26:04being deindustrialized being turned into farmland
- 26:07and Then while you're doing that while your people
- 26:10are dying from opioids That shit's all happening
- 26:12all over the world including here in the u .s.
- 26:15And it doesn't have anything to do with the Holocaust,
- 26:17right? I understand that But also, if you point
- 26:20out, hey, maybe we should close the borders.
- 26:22Maybe we shouldn't be bringing in all these migrants
- 26:24because the economy sucks. It's getting worse.
- 26:28Volkswagen shut down, I think it was three new
- 26:30factories last week that no one's talking about.
- 26:35If the German state, if the German people can't
- 26:39get jobs, the why are you importing hundreds
- 26:42of thousands of people from all around the world
- 26:44and if you speak up about it you get sounded
- 26:46well yes the white supremacy you're one of those
- 26:48germans aren't you you're a german yeah i am
- 26:52i'm a german and i want to put germany first
- 26:54and also this current government, I'm pretty
- 26:56sure they're the ones that have tanks in Kursk.
- 26:59I'm pretty sure they're the ones that are funding
- 27:00actual Nazis in Ukraine. That's true. And I'm
- 27:04pretty sure also that they're the ones who opened
- 27:07the borders to massive, to huge numbers of Turkish
- 27:12and Arab gangs who are raping German girls in
- 27:16Berlin at New Year's Eve parties. So let's just
- 27:20call this thing what it is. The people of Europe
- 27:24have a right to have their homelands, too. And
- 27:28if that's racist, so be it. It's a word. Take
- 27:32your country back. Close your borders. Deport
- 27:34these fuckers. However, Robbie, can we stipulate
- 27:37that, guys, can we stipulate that when the far
- 27:41right takes over in Germany, that that can cause
- 27:46problems. I mean, it has in the past. You know
- 27:49what I mean? I don't even think they're that
- 27:52far right. They're populists. Listen, they're
- 27:55not Robbie level right wingers. These are people
- 27:58who are saying we want to be able to have jobs
- 28:03and have houses and maybe if we don't have these
- 28:06things, maybe we shouldn't be importing the whole
- 28:08freaking world. Let me say something about that.
- 28:12What they are espousing, believe it or not, many
- 28:15of the... a huge good number of things that they,
- 28:19the topics that they talk about. If you, if you
- 28:23erase the name AFD and quoted it and attributed
- 28:25it to George Galloway, it's indiscernible. They
- 28:31are saying many of the same things that George
- 28:33Galloway says. George Galloway is the right winger.
- 28:36I mean, he's one of those people that needs to
- 28:38be put to an education camp stall to style. And
- 28:42he's the head of the progressive workers party.
- 28:45I get that, I understand that. But that's what
- 28:48I mean. That's why these labels don't make any
- 28:50sense. You can't even tell what the AFD is actually
- 28:54like, you can't really call them right wing if
- 28:56they are saying some of the same exact things
- 28:59that George Galloway is saying. Come on, they
- 29:01are a right wing party. They're a right wing
- 29:04party. They're they're they're they're not no
- 29:09because no European party is is is anti -abortion
- 29:13They're you know, it's like are they anti climate
- 29:16change? No, because all countries except the
- 29:20u .s. Recognize that climate change is occurring
- 29:22and right wingers and and it's not a politicized
- 29:26issue in any country in the world except here
- 29:28in Tartistan and so they are the anti birth control
- 29:33Again, they're like not retards. So no, they're
- 29:36not the only and how are they right -wing? Because
- 29:40they're a national there by the way being right
- 29:42-wing is not an insult. It is just a definition
- 29:45of Where they stand they are Nationalistic and
- 29:49they are more interested in the glory of the
- 29:52state than in the rights of the individual That
- 29:55is the definition of a right -wing party. There's
- 29:58nothing wrong be with being right -wing, but
- 30:01that's not a right -wing party. What do you think
- 30:03they are? They're a populist party. You could
- 30:06say they have some neoliberal and some liberal.
- 30:09They don't have neoliberal, but they have some
- 30:11socially liberal aspects to them. Sure. They
- 30:14have some progressive aspects. Because it's in
- 30:17Europe. It's Europe. Europe is... That's the
- 30:21entire culture, especially of Western Europe
- 30:24and much of Central Europe too. You just made
- 30:27my argument. They are a populist party. They're
- 30:29not calling for the restoration of prussia I
- 30:31mean, that's not what they're doing. They're
- 30:33saying hey look over here's poland. Let's go.
- 30:34Let's go bitch slapping begin for supporting
- 30:36nazis That's like we are and to the point again.
- 30:39It is the current german government That is supporting
- 30:42funding and arming actual nazis in ukraine You're
- 30:47not getting any you're not getting any complaint
- 30:49from me i'm just annoyed that they're not going
- 30:51to the far left and going socialist or communist
- 30:53the way they should go Why would they do why
- 30:56would they Ted? Because socialism socialist and
- 31:00communist would also be opposed to financing
- 31:05the Nazis in and Russia Are the communists calling
- 31:11for mass deportations and closing the borders
- 31:13maybe getting rid of the Schengen zone. Not that
- 31:15I see Yeah, I don't even know If your concern
- 31:21is economic well, here's a question guys more
- 31:23to the point the future then Let's say we don't
- 31:28know look 2029 in politics is a long way away,
- 31:31but let's just say for the sake of argument Well,
- 31:33there's going to be more state elections, right?
- 31:35There's 13 states in germany This is just one
- 31:38but let's just say this trend continues and in
- 31:41and in five years both france and germany the
- 31:44founding nations of the eu Are now uh in the
- 31:48grips of these right -wing parties, right? are
- 31:51ruled by the right. Like Marine Le Pen as president.
- 31:54Yeah. What happens to the EU? I mean, will the
- 31:58EU, could the EU, I mean, if there's Frexit.
- 32:00I hope it breaks apart. And, I don't know, Jexit
- 32:03or Intermexit, would that be enough? I mean,
- 32:07considering that the, particularly the German
- 32:10former Deutschmark, which, you know, sort of
- 32:13floats. In sort of an ether. I don't know if
- 32:15you know about this, right? But like basically,
- 32:17it's not marks are not in circulation, but they
- 32:20still exist like in the banks and basically those
- 32:23are used to prop up the euro just like the French
- 32:25rank is would Could that lead to the collapse
- 32:30of the EU simply because there's no longer those
- 32:33two big European economies propping up the whole
- 32:36thing I hope so in in a manila in a In a perfect
- 32:41manila. I'm anti -eu in a big way. I'm a i'm
- 32:44a i'm a i'm a nationalist too. I mean I I think
- 32:47i'd love to see france get the frank back In
- 32:50a perfect manila world the afd sweeps germany
- 32:54in the next couple of years marine le pen is
- 32:56president in france They they break don't tell
- 33:00me you're not you're not a right winger then
- 33:02they break apart They break apart, but here's
- 33:06why it's not because I believe necessarily in
- 33:08everything they say but they Counterbalance the
- 33:11bullshit that we've the neoliberal bullshit that
- 33:13we've seen the past 25 years and they break apart
- 33:17NATO They break apart the EU and every country
- 33:21can then go back to having their own sovereignty
- 33:24I'm a sovereignty person. I lean libertarian.
- 33:27I'm not right -wing. I lean libertarian. I want
- 33:29I want like Robbie I want a small a small government
- 33:33I want that small government to leave me the
- 33:35fuck alone. But there are right libertarians
- 33:36and there are left libertarians. Sure. If you
- 33:40want to get an abortion, have at it. Have all
- 33:43the abortions that you want, ladies. That's your
- 33:45body. Whatever. The government should stay the
- 33:47fuck out of your uterus and out of your vagina.
- 33:50That is my view. The government has no place
- 33:52in my bedroom. Any of that and speaking of which
- 33:55I was just at the ron paul event this weekend.
- 33:57It was really great. Um So make you get pregnant
- 34:00now. So just because you have a uterus That's
- 34:02right. And if he wants if he wants to get an
- 34:05abortion and they can be milked too Yeah, and
- 34:07that's your far left party Robbie you and I can
- 34:11make more money by being milked now. We can sell
- 34:14our milk you can't oh god you can take those
- 34:18pills if you want to ted in in a manila perfect
- 34:20world that's what happens for france and germany
- 34:22you were worried about ultimately breaks apart
- 34:24ultimately breaks apart and then and you i think
- 34:29the the new fracture the newly fractured former
- 34:34eu will have to sort out its own little you know
- 34:40like not the mass Schengen agreement bullshit.
- 34:42They're gonna have to sort out with their immediate
- 34:44neighbors, like we sort out with Canada and sort
- 34:47out with Mexico, although it's not going great.
- 34:50But still, we have more stories. 19 minutes.
- 34:52We have our thing. That is that is what I would
- 34:55like to see happen in Europe, because I feel
- 34:57like all of these these European states have
- 35:00lost all their own identities. They've lost their
- 35:03sovereignty, and they cannot make any decisions
- 35:07without the fucking EU Parliament. Running roughshod
- 35:11over them. So you have no sovereignty. You have
- 35:13no country and all of those little little itty
- 35:16-bitty countries in the EU They're not countries.
- 35:19They're not countries anymore. They're just part
- 35:21of the mask flag Peter says the economic problems
- 35:30are so baked in that AFD and National Rally will
- 35:34come to be blamed for the economic collapse if
- 35:36they take power that's fair to That's fair. So
- 35:39but yeah, this is it's too fucked. Everything's
- 35:42fucked in Europe All right federal immigration
- 35:48officials and I should warn you this is very
- 35:50disturbing story in all seriousness federal immigration
- 35:54officials received court approval to force feed
- 35:57a Cuban detainee on hunger strike Including permission
- 36:01to surgically insert a feeding to through his
- 36:05abdomen without his consent. The unidentified
- 36:07man was arrested by ICE on July 22nd. He declared
- 36:12a hunger strike three days later. He's being
- 36:14held at one of those private gulags in Montgomery,
- 36:19the Montgomery ICE processing center near Houston.
- 36:22On August 19th, federal judge Andrew Hannon,
- 36:26who is, I guess he should have, You know ask
- 36:29Pete Hegseth where he got his swastika tattoo
- 36:32authorized ice to force feed the detainee The
- 36:36order normally allows guards to hold him down
- 36:40while medical personnel who I don't know how
- 36:43this the Hippocratic oath allows this Push a
- 36:47tube up through his nose and down in his throat
- 36:50into his stomach But this went even further the
- 36:54judge also authorized something called a PEG
- 36:57percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy tube. So in
- 37:02there they cut open his stomach and jammed this
- 37:08tube directly into his stomach and there it will
- 37:11remain until surgically removed. Obviously he
- 37:15was strapped down and tied down to do this. all
- 37:19international organizations in the world consider
- 37:22this to be a cruel and torture and it's officially
- 37:26torture. Anyway, the order was extended in early
- 37:30September and scheduled to remain active until
- 37:33the middle of the month. According to the UK
- 37:36Guardian, this is probably the 19th hunger striker
- 37:40since January of last year in which ICE got permission
- 37:44from Nazi judges to perform involuntary medical
- 37:47procedures. I mean, it's not a medical procedure.
- 37:51I mean, I don't know. It's a physical procedure,
- 37:53but it's not medicine Anyway, the dhs the department
- 37:56of homeland security said the dude has since
- 37:59resumed eating and drinking I mean can't blame
- 38:02him and is no longer being force -fed He also
- 38:05he they said he entered the country illegally
- 38:08back in 1980 Okay, so, you know he let's assume
- 38:13he was five um, you know, he's You know what
- 38:17I mean? He was five at the time. But that was
- 38:19a long fucking year time ago, right? I mean,
- 38:22that's 46 years ago. The dude's got to be at
- 38:25least in his 50s and probably in his 60s or 70s.
- 38:28He got a deportation order in 2004. Obviously
- 38:32they didn't get around to doing anything about
- 38:35it Under both republican and democratic administrations.
- 38:39He has convictions including aggravated assault
- 38:42battery and weapons offenses So he's obviously
- 38:45a fine law upstanding law abiding citizen civil
- 38:49rights advocates Basically were against this.
- 38:52So this is I mean look this is It's just another
- 38:57example of how the United States is an evil country.
- 38:59I mean, I can't believe I mean I can believe
- 39:02but it's it's disgusting that a judge signed
- 39:05off on this If the guy wants to have a I mean,
- 39:08I'm sure they went to the judge and said the
- 39:10dude's gonna die unless we do this They shouldn't
- 39:14you know hunger strikers at Guantanamo were subjected
- 39:17to the same foie gras approach They even did
- 39:21it like up their ass remember rectal feeding
- 39:24where they jammed it up their assholes, too Which
- 39:28by the way doesn't even that was fun Yeah, that's
- 39:31her fun Right exactly that that's just entertainment
- 39:36for the guards because that's post digestion
- 39:38I don't know it gets boring there and it gets
- 39:40boring at Guantanamo So it's like hey, hey guys,
- 39:44you know fill up the amphitheater. Let's like
- 39:45all shenanigans Ted. It's shenanigans It's all
- 39:49good. It's all good times when you're in the
- 39:51armed forces, uh, you know, make sure you tell
- 39:53your son, uh, you know Of all about all the good
- 39:57stuff they get to watch there in the armed services.
- 39:59Anyway, we got it We got to yesterday because
- 40:02he was saying that the united states is justified
- 40:03to fight in vietnam that we won the war and we
- 40:06locked Oh my god, we won we locked horns. He
- 40:09thought he thought we won He he argues that that
- 40:13south vietnam does not have to exist for us to
- 40:15have won that war I said, and what logic does
- 40:17that make any sense? Yeah. Yeah. I want to hear
- 40:19how, what did he say? Oh, nothing. Cause the
- 40:23kids, he intervened. He's like, no, we're not
- 40:25doing this because we're up on top of a mountain.
- 40:27So yesterday we were up, we were up at Holland
- 40:29Lake and it's just a little goat trail. So there's
- 40:32a thousand foot drop on the right -hand side.
- 40:33It was raining, it was muddy. It was just a mess.
- 40:36Actually our first snow yesterday too. It was
- 40:38wild. Oh my God. So we're going up there. We're
- 40:41just having this conversation. The kids are like,
- 40:43we're not doing this a thousand feet up with
- 40:45YouTube knuckleheads. We're not doing this. He's
- 40:47right. Yeah. So she is not wrong. But I don't
- 40:51know what, I don't know what alternative history
- 40:54book your son is reading about Vietnam. Yeah.
- 40:59I can introduce him to Jesse Ventura. Maybe Jesse
- 41:03can talk some, he was there. So maybe Jesse can
- 41:05talk. Well, that's like saying the Confederacy
- 41:07won the war of Northern aggression. Despite the
- 41:10fact that it no longer exists Right. Well, let
- 41:15me put it this way if that's winning winning
- 41:17is winning is a meaningless term First of all
- 41:23everybody involved in this force -feeding and
- 41:26jamming a tube into the dude's stomach Regardless
- 41:30of what criminal record the guy had is a torturer
- 41:34and belongs in prison. It's Manila Help me. I
- 41:41don't know. I mean like I Get I get I get that
- 41:46under the rule of law Whatever that means today,
- 41:51but if they are if you are in the custody of
- 41:56US officials and in this case For you know for
- 41:59right or wrong reasons. He's under ice custody
- 42:02They need to make sure you don't die They don't
- 42:07do a great job of that because migrants be dying.
- 42:10Um, that's true without their without their intervention
- 42:13all the time um, and why they're doing it to
- 42:16this guy obviously is just because he was Making
- 42:19a spectacle of it because it was a political,
- 42:22you know, he was he was so deliberate Yeah, he
- 42:25was doing a deliberate Stunt objectively. Seriously.
- 42:28They obviously didn't want the guy to die in
- 42:30their custody. It was gonna make them look bad
- 42:32They they don't want that. So what? Can you do
- 42:36what do you do? Like I I wouldn't know how to
- 42:40I wouldn't know how to respond to that as the
- 42:42judge I wouldn't know how to respond to that
- 42:43as what do you mean? You don't know how to judge
- 42:45How would you not know how to respond to it as
- 42:48a judge? You just feel like if the guy wants
- 42:50to die Let him die Yeah Yeah, yeah, it's his
- 42:56choice. He chose not to eat If he's choosing,
- 43:01if he'd rather die than be in image. And by the
- 43:04way, obviously he must be very angry and very
- 43:09desperate and must be thinking he's stuck there.
- 43:13And obviously, look, I'm going to be on team
- 43:15Robbie here. They need to quit dicking around.
- 43:17If they want to, they either should deport the
- 43:20dude or let him go. Right. No, I agree. I agree
- 43:22with that. And it's like, and just leaving people
- 43:24run. Like this is not right. That's why we're
- 43:27saying last week, if they can get fucking Milo
- 43:29Yiannopoulos out of here in 24 hours, then why
- 43:33are you holding these other people for months
- 43:36and months and months on end, and their families
- 43:39can't find them and whatever? Well, you know
- 43:41why. I get it. You know why. It's because of
- 43:44the deportation industrial complex. They get
- 43:47paid every night that guy fills a bed with his...
- 43:53It bleeds all over it from his stomach wound
- 43:56that we made Then yeah, so I'm saying is is that
- 44:00you don't want the dude to die At all. I wouldn't
- 44:04want the guy to die at all, but legally under
- 44:07my watch then like it's a legal issue Because
- 44:10you can intervene how you intervene is No, but
- 44:14you you I mean you can't intervene according
- 44:18to according to human rights experts You can't
- 44:23intervene You have to like look handed to the
- 44:26brits. They let bobby sands die In the ira martyr
- 44:31Um, that's what they need to do. We have two
- 44:34more stories. We have we have nine minutes to
- 44:36do. Let's do them All right, so here's a weird
- 44:44one, um so Hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman
- 44:49is putting his money and influence behind an
- 44:51experimental treatment after a medical catastrophe
- 44:55I don't know if you call it a catastrophe his
- 44:58daughter 26 year old daughter Lucy Had some horrible
- 45:04brain thing happened to her in her apartment
- 45:07in Brooklyn. It left her unable to move. So basically
- 45:12Paralyzed she can't speak or see Lucy collapsed
- 45:15in her Brooklyn apartment back in February after
- 45:18suffering a brain hemorrhage Atman quickly assembled
- 45:21a network of elite doctors and researchers as
- 45:24your you know billionaire father This notorious
- 45:27Zionist. Yes. He's the one that looks like Mitch
- 45:30And he's the one who's been like totally like
- 45:34team team genocide. I was just checking. Yeah
- 45:36Yeah, he's he's the one that looks like your
- 45:38buddy Mitch Rochelle He's an alumnus of Columbia
- 45:44University who leaned on Columbia to crack down
- 45:48and deport everyone and send the cops in to crush
- 45:52all the dangerous kids hanging out in their tents.
- 45:57He bought them clubs and was like, here, go back
- 45:58to 1980 and start beating people. He and Tucker
- 46:01Carlson hate each other with a passion. I've
- 46:06got to be on team Tucker here for sure. Ackman
- 46:09threatened to sue Tucker and Tucker's like, bring
- 46:11it. I'm not scared of you. He just went off on
- 46:15him. Yeah, he's great. But so his daughter, you
- 46:18know, his daughter, it's not, it's not her fault.
- 46:20This horrible thing happened. So Ackman assembled
- 46:23a network of all kinds of top tier scientists
- 46:26and doctors eventually helping secure emergency
- 46:29FDA authorization for a procedure never before
- 46:32attempted in human eyes. The authorization came
- 46:35through the agency's compassionate use pathway
- 46:38for investigational therapies. Doctors at Mount
- 46:42Sinai, where my son was actually hospitalized
- 46:44there when we were in New York a couple years
- 46:45ago, extracted mitochondria, the energy producing
- 46:51structures inside cells from muscle in Lucy's
- 46:55leg and then injected them into her eyeballs.
- 46:59The goal was to repair her damaged optic nerves
- 47:02and possibly restore some vision. The idea came
- 47:05from an April study showing that mitochondrial
- 47:08transplants helped mice recover from crushed
- 47:12optic nerves. Human evidence, however, remains
- 47:14extremely limited. The first reported transplant
- 47:17between body parts occurred in 2017, and scientists
- 47:20have since tried the approach on the heart and
- 47:23the brain. For Lucy the initial results offered
- 47:27a flicker of hope she regained the ability to
- 47:31Perceive light at least perceive light for several
- 47:35weeks according to a paper submitted to nature
- 47:38That's the magazine the scientific journal Not
- 47:42submitted to out in the nature To the birds and
- 47:46the bees But not yet peer -reviewed after roughly
- 47:50a month the improvement fated. Ackman says doctors
- 47:54are now exploring more frequent injections. Researchers
- 47:57reported no apparent damage to Lucy's eyes, an
- 48:01important finding for a first in human procedure.
- 48:04Still, some scientists question whether injected
- 48:07mitochondria can survive or make a meaningful
- 48:11difference. This is where we need JDC, our resident
- 48:14chief scientist, to tell us more about mitochondria.
- 48:17The crisis has also pushed Ackman into a much
- 48:20larger venture. He has now pledged more than
- 48:23$400 million to create the Ackman -Oxman Institute
- 48:27focused on brain recovery, rehabilitation, longevity,
- 48:31and human performance. It's a father's rescue
- 48:33mission backed by billionaire resources. But
- 48:36for now, the science remains a calculated gamble,
- 48:39not a cure. Hope is present. Proof is still catching
- 48:42up. So one, I feel really bad for Lucy to randomly
- 48:47have suffered. You're hanging out in your apartment
- 48:49in Brooklyn and you just have a freaking brain
- 48:53hemorrhage. That's horrible, obviously. I mean,
- 48:57like she didn't do anything. You know, she's
- 48:59a 26 year old girl and this just happened to
- 49:01her and like, God, poor girl. And then, I mean,
- 49:06her dad is a multi -billionaire hedge fund guy.
- 49:10So he's scrambling you would think when something
- 49:14horrible like this happens to your kid Ted that
- 49:16you would repent and understand the fragility
- 49:19of human life and that You would think that yeah.
- 49:24Yeah, you really would he's still he's still
- 49:26kind of unrepentant, but still okay cool He's
- 49:29investing like half a billion dollars into this
- 49:31new Institute to study like how mitochondria
- 49:34can work Science is a long ways away. I do think
- 49:38this is Cool one cool thing, you know the right
- 49:41to try that Donald Trump passed the first time
- 49:44Which I agree with a hundred percent. I mean,
- 49:47yeah, I think if you straight like it, what does
- 49:50she have to lose, right? I mean, why not? Yeah,
- 49:54this is all oh Ray says JD see left the chat
- 49:58he had to go somewhere. This is exactly right
- 50:00up his alley mitochondria stuff So this is like,
- 50:04you know the baseline of how cells function From
- 50:09your leg? Like that's... I guess cells be cells,
- 50:13Ted. It's actually very cool and interesting.
- 50:16Yeah, cells be cells. I don't know enough about
- 50:17that, but cells be cells, so I guess it doesn't
- 50:20matter where you harvest them? Well, I mean,
- 50:24we're finding out, right? Yeah, I guess we'll
- 50:27find out. So Bill Ackman, at least doing one
- 50:30good thing here, Ted, in humanity. One good thing.
- 50:34One good thing. All right, let's move on. And
- 50:41of course now my thing is not uploading. Oh here.
- 50:45No, here we go. Here we go All right, if traffic
- 50:48makes you want to quit driving Malta is prepared
- 50:50to pay you for it Malta is offering eligible
- 50:54drivers 25 ,000 euros That's about 29 grand to
- 50:58surrender their drivers licenses for five years
- 51:01Malta has a lot of cars some of the most highest
- 51:04concentration in Europe So congestion traffic
- 51:08jams are a huge national problem The new plan
- 51:11is to remove drivers from the roads to clear
- 51:15that up and encourage people to use buses and
- 51:18public transport. They're going after younger
- 51:20motorists. You have to be under 30, lived in
- 51:23Malta for at least seven years, and held a driver's
- 51:26license for at least 12 months. If your license
- 51:29was revoked or suspended, you don't qualify.
- 51:34Receive 5 000 europe euros annually for five
- 51:38years if you change your mind you have to pay
- 51:41back Whatever you already got once surrendered
- 51:44license is considered suspended After the five
- 51:48years are over. You must then complete 15 hours
- 51:51of driving lessons before you're getting a new
- 51:53one That last part is a problem Malta Malta So
- 51:58i'm gonna yeah, so I think that's a good place
- 52:00to end that story, but like that is Yeah, that's
- 52:03shitty, right? It's like you volunteer you haven't
- 52:06done anything wrong and then you're penalized
- 52:08And then you have to like you're treated like
- 52:10you're some kind of asshole at the end of five
- 52:12years Even though you were just trying to help
- 52:14out and let other people drive around That's
- 52:18wrong I didn't I didn't read carefully enough.
- 52:24So You they they give you a five thousand five
- 52:27thousand dollar a year whatever, it's not a stipend,
- 52:32right? Like they're just giving you a check for
- 52:33five grand a year, right? For really pushing
- 52:35your driver's license. You're voluntarily giving
- 52:38this up. It's not like you got it, like your
- 52:40Tiger Woods and getting a five -year suspension
- 52:42of your driver's license. Like, this is not that.
- 52:45These are like people with good driving records
- 52:48that are young, under 30. They're like, that's
- 52:51cool. I'm gonna ride a bike. I'm gonna ride,
- 52:53I don't know, one of these electric scooters,
- 52:55whatever. I'm gonna not drive my car. And then
- 52:59at the end of it, you're going to punish me and
- 53:03I need to redo my driver's ed all over again?
- 53:06Ridiculous. Totally insane. The idea was good
- 53:09up until that point. Yeah. Why young people,
- 53:12Ted? Do you have any ideas? Because it didn't
- 53:14explain. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Maybe
- 53:18they think young people would be more likely
- 53:19to bike or need a car or more likely to live
- 53:24in cities where they don't need a car. Or do
- 53:28you think or maybe they want maybe they need
- 53:30them? Maybe they you could they can use the 25
- 53:33,000 euros more than an older person. Oh, that's
- 53:35true May or maybe young people will adapt and
- 53:38they'll make that part of their normal life.
- 53:40Oh, that's probably what it is They think like
- 53:43oh, they'll get used to never having a car and
- 53:45then they'll and then the generations just won't
- 53:48do it I guess that's not a bad idea. I mean,
- 53:52I gotta say it's a it's a It's a smart idea,
- 53:56but poorly conceived because of the 15 hours.
- 54:00The very end. Yeah, that's just ridiculous. I
- 54:04mean, I could see like if they said, oh, you
- 54:06have to take a one hour online refresher. Refresher.
- 54:11Right. Online. Fucking driver's ad all over again.
- 54:1415 hours is a long time. Manila, I had 25 hours
- 54:18of community service to do one time. And it took,
- 54:22it was like I wasn't allowed to do it all at
- 54:24once. And it took like months to get out from
- 54:27underneath it. It was like, it was just like,
- 54:29doesn't sound like that long. Like, oh, I could
- 54:31do it like three days, eight hours each. But
- 54:33like, no, it's just like, no, it's just like
- 54:36this huge pain in the ass. Yeah, this, the Maltese
- 54:40government, like you guys had a really good idea
- 54:43until that point. If you got rid of that sticking
- 54:46point, I think young people would do it. So anyway,
- 54:49there you go. If anyone has better ideas on how
- 54:51to get people to give up cars, I don't know.
- 54:55Let us know, because we don't know. Adios amigos.
- 54:58Happy Tuesday.
