- 0:37Speaker 1: for the Eagles as they get ready for free agency.
- 0:39Speaker 1: We're going to take a look at today at what
- 0:42Speaker 1: is the word around the NFL on this free agent class,
- 0:47Speaker 1: What kind of talent is there? Where are the deepest
- 0:49Speaker 1: positions where kid Philadelphia go shopping in this free agent
- 0:54Speaker 1: class here and of course on the offensive side and
- 0:57Speaker 1: on the defensive side, and if you're looking to add,
- 1:00Speaker 1: where are the weakest spots in free agency. We're going
- 1:03Speaker 1: to talk about all that right now with Adam Kaplan
- 1:07Speaker 1: from the Inside of the Birds podcast. Inside the Birds
- 1:10Speaker 1: dot Com and of course all week long Mosher Tomorrow,
- 1:14Speaker 1: we'll be talking a little bit more free agency and
- 1:16Speaker 1: of course the draft with Andrew to Checko on Thursday
- 1:20Speaker 1: Show Andrew always great on the draft. We'll be talking
- 1:23Speaker 1: to Rick Sarah Tella all throughout the draft season as
- 1:26Speaker 1: well as we get you ready for the twenty twenty
- 1:30Speaker 1: six NFL offseason. The new league year starts on Wednesday
- 1:34Speaker 1: of next week, a week from tomorrow. All right, let's
- 1:37Speaker 1: go inside NFL free agency now, Adam Kaplan is in
- 1:41Speaker 1: the house as a free agency, as we mentioned, begins
- 1:44Speaker 1: one week from tomorrow, unofficially on Monday. What is the
- 1:49Speaker 1: word around the NFL on this free agent class? We
- 1:52Speaker 1: know the Eagles have a lot of talent that are
- 1:54Speaker 1: free agents. We'll get Adam Kaplan's take on that. What
- 1:57Speaker 1: is he hearing about the deepest position on offense and
- 2:00Speaker 1: defense and the lightest positions on offense and defense. How
- 2:04Speaker 1: can Philadelphia improve? Well, let's take a look. Adam Kaplan's
- 2:07Speaker 1: here from the Inside of the Birds podcast for Today's
- 2:10Speaker 1: Football at four. Welcome Adam. What's going on?
- 2:13Speaker 2: So, Mike, the word coming out of the combine was
- 2:15Speaker 2: in terms of free agency, is that it's a week
- 2:19Speaker 2: class overall, some depth of which we'll talk and discuss
- 2:22Speaker 2: and get into and help people understand. But one of
- 2:25Speaker 2: the other things was that the trade market could be
- 2:28Speaker 2: more robust, because if you don't have a player at
- 2:33Speaker 2: a certain position and you're trying to get to the
- 2:35Speaker 2: next level, either wait for the draft and wait for
- 2:38Speaker 2: that player develop, or you get a guy who's more advanced.
- 2:41Speaker 2: And that's why the Texas made two trades. They traded
- 2:44Speaker 2: away the right tackle, Titus Howard, and then they traded
- 2:48Speaker 2: for David Montgomery, the Lion's running back. So we're seeing
- 2:53Speaker 2: we're already seeing action. We saw the big trade last
- 2:55Speaker 2: week between the Titans and the Jets teams trading two starters,
- 3:00Speaker 2: which is kind of surprising and kind of odd, but
- 3:03Speaker 2: in the end, it's because Robert Salah coached Jermaine Johnson
- 3:06Speaker 2: with the Jets and Ice with the Titans, and the
- 3:10Speaker 2: Titans straight away to Andandre Sweat, who is a good
- 3:14Speaker 2: fit for the Jets defense. So it's about fit, it's
- 3:17Speaker 2: about coaching changes, and that's why you're seeing players move on.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Well, obviously, you take a look at what Philadelphia and
- 3:24Speaker 1: the quality of depth of free agent. We don't even
- 3:26Speaker 1: know how much money. I mean, we know how much money,
- 3:28Speaker 1: but we don't know how big of a player they
- 3:30Speaker 1: could be in free agency. They don't have a ton
- 3:33Speaker 1: of cap space here, but if they wanted to dip
- 3:36Speaker 1: their toe in the pool, let's start on offense. What
- 3:38Speaker 1: are some of the deepest positions that they could take
- 3:41Speaker 1: a look at on offense?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Am I just a word on what you were just
- 3:44Speaker 2: talking about. So in terms of cash ben, their cash
- 3:46Speaker 2: ben is going to be similar to last year. It's
- 3:49Speaker 2: mostly going to be devoted to extensions and then their
- 3:52Speaker 2: free agent dollars or if it happens and they wanted
- 3:55Speaker 2: to happen, Jalen Phillips is a pretty civilic priority for
- 3:57Speaker 2: them to resign. That's where his money is going to.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Now let's turn into to your question on what's the
- 4:03Speaker 2: deepest busiousness on offense. Tight end's got pretty good depth.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Dallas Goddard is out there. It's I mean, we don't
- 4:11Speaker 2: two percentages, but it would not surprise us if he
- 4:13Speaker 2: plays elsewhere this coming season, and the position for the
- 4:16Speaker 2: Eagles is totally barren without him if he does not resign. Mike,
- 4:21Speaker 2: but in free agency, you've got Travis Kelcey. The Chiefs
- 4:23Speaker 2: feel confident they're going to resign him. David and Joko's
- 4:26Speaker 2: out there. Gottar, he mentioned Taysom Hill, Tyler Higbee, he
- 4:29Speaker 2: goes down to him pretty well. Zach Ertz wants to play.
- 4:34Speaker 2: They're good. There's some decent backups, like Austin Hooper who
- 4:37Speaker 2: was with the Patriots on a Super Bowl run. Foster
- 4:39Speaker 2: Moreau is a good backup. Adam Troutman who Sean Payton
- 4:43Speaker 2: brought over to the Broncos. Tyler Conkline is not a
- 4:45Speaker 2: be a backup, pretty athletic Noah fan from her first
- 4:48Speaker 2: round tight end. There's enough out there. But the thing is,
- 4:52Speaker 2: it's not so much about quantity, Mike, It's about quality.
- 4:56Speaker 2: But it's deep enough that you can get yourself a
- 4:58Speaker 2: pretty good backup, at least in free agency.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It would be interesting to see, you know, ERT's a
- 5:02Speaker 1: guy that's been here. Maybe you get him to kind
- 5:05Speaker 1: of groom somebody that you draft. We all thought they
- 5:07Speaker 1: were gonna draft someone last year. That did not happen,
- 5:09Speaker 1: so they definitely need to address tight and good to
- 5:12Speaker 1: see that position. Do you think they would be a
- 5:15Speaker 1: player in free agency? On the offensive line for depth purposes, Yes,
- 5:18Speaker 1: I do.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But let me just help people understand this. Free agency
- 5:23Speaker 2: doesn't stop next week. It goes on through the fall.
- 5:27Speaker 2: But by the time the season starts, Yes, we expect
- 5:29Speaker 2: them to add a couple of them. It could be
- 5:32Speaker 2: someone who's released, who's released in March. It could be
- 5:36Speaker 2: someone who's released after the draft, but again, the season
- 5:39Speaker 2: does not start till September. They're definitely offensive line was poor.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Now part of that that addressing the offensive line, Mike
- 5:48Speaker 2: and free agency could be resigning Brett Toath, who in
- 5:51Speaker 2: one of his starts was phenomenal and Jeff Moscher and
- 5:55Speaker 2: I talked about this last week. He'd be a good
- 5:57Speaker 2: fit for the offensive line scheme. The offense of line
- 6:00Speaker 2: is going to completely change, which we told you when
- 6:03Speaker 2: Sean Mannu was hired. It's going to look completely different.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I mean, it's just going to be different. That's just
- 6:07Speaker 2: the scheme is nothing like Sirianni's which they've run until
- 6:11Speaker 2: this season. And this is this is intentional. They wanted
- 6:14Speaker 2: to change it up. It's going to be tough, but
- 6:17Speaker 2: they're going to have to get players who fit what
- 6:20Speaker 2: Sean Manyon needs and.
- 6:22Speaker 1: By the way, remember last year they did go out
- 6:24Speaker 1: in free agency and brought in two tight ends. Kailan
- 6:26Speaker 1: Grantson was one in Island Granton, yes, yeah, and I
- 6:29Speaker 1: don't even remember the other guy, but I would imagine.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Rson Bryant who got cut. But they signed eleven players
- 6:37Speaker 2: to one year deals. Most of them did not work. Right.
- 6:40Speaker 1: All right, Well, let's look at the defensive side of
- 6:42Speaker 1: the ball. They need help on defense. Obviously, depending on
- 6:45Speaker 1: what happens with Phillips, what happens at corner, what happens
- 6:48Speaker 1: with Red Blankenship, you're most likely going to lose to
- 6:51Speaker 1: Kobe d But you think you can fill that in house.
- 6:53Speaker 1: What's the deepest positions on defense?
- 6:55Speaker 2: All right? So the deepest positions, Mike, So, the subject
- 7:00Speaker 2: of our show, which dropped Tuesday morning on Inside the
- 7:02Speaker 2: Birds was the Rush group. Mike, It's actually very deep.
- 7:07Speaker 2: It's by far the deepest position for free agency. But
- 7:10Speaker 2: here's the problem. It's top heavy. After Trey Hendrickson, who's
- 7:16Speaker 2: gonna should get a monster deal, it really really drops off.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Now they're guys like Clil mac asn Reddick. Uh, Mike
- 7:25Speaker 2: Dana was just cut by the Chiefs last week, He's
- 7:27Speaker 2: probably a third edge. There are a lot of second,
- 7:30Speaker 2: third and fourth edge type guys. Cloil Mack is out there,
- 7:34Speaker 2: but he's near the end of his great career at
- 7:35Speaker 2: thirty five years old. It's mostly guys who are third edges,
- 7:39Speaker 2: who are the first guy off the bench. Those don't
- 7:42Speaker 2: cost much. Now when it comes to the Eagles, well,
- 7:45Speaker 2: if they resigned Jalen Phillips, Nolan smithe's your third edge.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Jalkxn is clearly going to start now. They need a
- 7:52Speaker 2: fourth guy. But Fangio doesn't play for you need it,
- 7:54Speaker 2: you have to have for but Lo Nolan. If they
- 7:57Speaker 2: get Phillips, Mike Edges not a priority at all. It's
- 8:01Speaker 2: just a matter of getting some death late that could
- 8:04Speaker 2: come in the draft.
- 8:04Speaker 1: By the way, all right, and they are positions the
- 8:08Speaker 1: Eagles do need, and possibly edge safety, corner. What about
- 8:12Speaker 1: the lightest positions. Let's go back to offense here. You know,
- 8:15Speaker 1: obviously the Eagles have their whole offense signed except for
- 8:18Speaker 1: tight end. So what are some of the lightest positions
- 8:21Speaker 1: on offense?
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yeah, QB bad, it's worse that've scene and I don't
- 8:25Speaker 2: know how long receivers bad. If they trade a J. Brown.
- 8:28Speaker 2: We keep warning people they're not getting that guy off
- 8:30Speaker 2: the street to replace him and have to come into
- 8:32Speaker 2: trade or the draft. Tackle is really bad and free agency.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Now that's left and right tackle. The other positions that
- 8:38Speaker 2: are deep are guard and center. The Egles don't need
- 8:42Speaker 2: a center. They could use a center slash guard veteran,
- 8:45Speaker 2: that type of guy that they like Drew Kennell, but
- 8:47Speaker 2: right now he's really only a center who could play guard.
- 8:49Speaker 2: He's a little bit too small. And on defense, you
- 8:52Speaker 2: mentioned it in passing. Not that Eagles need an inside backer,
- 8:56Speaker 2: they don't need any, but safety is a position they
- 9:00Speaker 2: they really need to address. They're very weak on depth
- 9:02Speaker 2: at Blanketship leaves, which is very realistic. Not even who
- 9:05Speaker 2: their starter would be opposite him they need If blanket
- 9:08Speaker 2: Ship leaves, they'll need two safeties. Sitting Brown only plays
- 9:10Speaker 2: on defense. They clearly don't trust them to play on defense.
- 9:14Speaker 2: He's just a special teams player, Sitney Brown. And then
- 9:16Speaker 2: at corner, Mike that's that's I mean, even if a
- 9:21Speaker 2: Dory Jackson came back, you can't count him to be
- 9:23Speaker 2: a starter. And where's Cooper dejene gonna line up? That's
- 9:27Speaker 2: our early feeling is that right now it would be Nickel,
- 9:31Speaker 2: And we know he could play corner because he plays
- 9:33Speaker 2: it on base down. So they really need to make
- 9:35Speaker 2: that decision where he's going to play full time because
- 9:38Speaker 2: that ultimately decide what their plan is for free agency
- 9:40Speaker 2: in the draft. But corner right now, opposite Quinia Mitchell
- 9:43Speaker 2: is a major question mark.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Sure is. And obviously they you know, you mentioned Dory
- 9:49Speaker 1: Jackson last year kind of you know, I guess did
- 9:52Speaker 1: an okay job, but I would imagine they want to
- 9:54Speaker 1: get an upgrade over what he did last year as well.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And what about the lightest positions on defense and free agency?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yeah, this one, Mike is defensive tackle. It's real. I
- 10:06Speaker 2: was actually talking to an agent yesterday who has got
- 10:08Speaker 2: a decent d tackle for free agency. He goes, my gosh,
- 10:11Speaker 2: should be good because he doesn't have a lot of competition,
- 10:13Speaker 2: and that's not a position right now the Eagles really
- 10:17Speaker 2: need any help in They're very young, they have their
- 10:20Speaker 2: three starters, they got their key backup of Byron Young.
- 10:22Speaker 2: They could use one more guy, but they don't. They
- 10:25Speaker 2: could just draft somebody and just develop. But if you're
- 10:29Speaker 2: a team that needs a d tackle, good luck to you.
- 10:31Speaker 2: The kind of guys that are out there, Mike are
- 10:34Speaker 2: David Onyamina, who's a run defender, big guy, really good
- 10:37Speaker 2: story development, DJ Reader who's been a journeyman as thirty
- 10:41Speaker 2: two years old. Deakwon Johns, who might remember from Penn State,
- 10:45Speaker 2: who's a run defender who's played for the Bills. Larrio
- 10:48Speaker 2: Gunjovi is a pass rushing d tackle. Did not play
- 10:52Speaker 2: well for the Bills this past season. Sebastian Joseph Day
- 10:55Speaker 2: had a Rutgers good football player. My understanding is the
- 10:58Speaker 2: Titans would like to have him back. Julias kalais Campbell,
- 11:01Speaker 2: he turns forty, Mike Crazy. He I played Gobble of
- 11:04Speaker 2: the Ones. He is a big dude man, great guy.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Sheldon Rankins, Tierre Tart came back to the Chargers. But
- 11:12Speaker 2: Andrew Bilongs is out there. There's really Mike. It's just
- 11:15Speaker 2: it's very light. It's just very light. But the good
- 11:17Speaker 2: thing for the Eagles is that they're loaded there like
- 11:20Speaker 2: they they see. Eagles have become really since the pandemic
- 11:26Speaker 2: really starting in twenty one, since how he turned his
- 11:28Speaker 2: career around in terms of the draft, a draft and
- 11:31Speaker 2: developed team and suppleant through free agency, and yet they'll
- 11:34Speaker 2: make an occasional trade where they're weak at a position
- 11:37Speaker 2: when they've kind of missed, like they how he addressed
- 11:40Speaker 2: the receiver position he had to. They didn't do well
- 11:42Speaker 2: before it started with DeVante Smith turning it around. Then
- 11:45Speaker 2: they traded for a G. Brown and the whole thing
- 11:46Speaker 2: was turned around. But I liked the Eagles approach now
- 11:49Speaker 2: because when Howie first got the job in twenty ten,
- 11:53Speaker 2: though he didn't have personnel control, he was just Okay,
- 11:57Speaker 2: let's go heavy and free agency and supple into the draft.
- 11:59Speaker 2: That's the wrong way to do it. No, he's kind
- 12:00Speaker 2: of flipped and done very well.
- 12:02Speaker 1: By the way, you mentioned Byron Young. Have you ever
- 12:05Speaker 1: seen this story about the Raiders calling and drafting the
- 12:07Speaker 1: wrong Byron Young?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Well there's two of them. There's the one the
- 12:11Speaker 2: Eagles have with the Raiders drafted. Then there's the one
- 12:13Speaker 2: that the Rams have yees. Yeah, and who's older by
- 12:16Speaker 2: the way. Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 1: So there was a story we talked about this earlier.
- 12:22Speaker 1: There was a story. I just saw it yesterday. Apparently
- 12:25Speaker 1: the Raider now the two Byron youngs are in the
- 12:27Speaker 1: same draft. They got picked seven picks apart. The Raiders
- 12:32Speaker 1: texted the wrong Byron Young and called the wrong one
- 12:36Speaker 1: and drafted the wrong one. They drafted Byron Young from Alabama,
- 12:41Speaker 1: but they meant to take the Tennessee Byron Young. They
- 12:44Speaker 1: then cut him, and it makes more sense because he
- 12:46Speaker 1: was a third round pick. You're like, why they cut
- 12:48Speaker 1: a third round pick? They picked the wrong.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Guy, you know it. And the guy who was with
- 12:54Speaker 2: the Rams who went to Tennessee is actually two and
- 12:57Speaker 2: a half years older than the Yer Young. Legles Happenedyn
- 13:00Speaker 2: Young that the Eagles have right who they claimed off
- 13:02Speaker 2: waivers in August of twenty four. For the less of me,
- 13:06Speaker 2: I cannot believe the Raiders cut him after one season.
- 13:09Speaker 2: He's been a good story development. Sometimes guys come in
- 13:12Speaker 2: they don't perform, and he was drafted by another general manager,
- 13:16Speaker 2: but he with the Raiders. But he's done a really
- 13:18Speaker 2: good job and that was a really good waiver claim
- 13:20Speaker 2: by the Eagles.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Well yeah, so, but it now makes a little bit
- 13:22Speaker 1: more sense because so the article is suggesting that at
- 13:25Speaker 1: the time they drafted the wrong Byron Young, and people
- 13:28Speaker 1: were saying he doesn't really have a third round projection
- 13:30Speaker 1: on him, And now we know why they took the
- 13:33Speaker 1: wrong guy. They took the wrong guy, like the position.
- 13:36Speaker 2: By the way, Byron Young. The Eagles guy is a
- 13:39Speaker 2: d tackle. The Rams guy Byron Young is usher. Yeah,
- 13:43Speaker 2: I don't know how that's that's it's kind of funny. Yeah,
- 13:47Speaker 2: this is kind of funny, Like, yeah, I didn't realize
- 13:50Speaker 2: that that's actually Laris that apps.
- 13:51Speaker 1: There's a video of the I don't know who the
- 13:54Speaker 1: guy was, but he's on the phone and I guess
- 13:56Speaker 1: apparently he sent a text message to the agent of
- 14:00Speaker 1: the other Byron Young saying we're about to draft you
- 14:03Speaker 1: right now, and they never got the call. I mean,
- 14:07Speaker 1: can you imagine this? This is an.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Embarrassing believe that's an a. The one my favorite one,
- 14:13Speaker 2: and I was at that draft is when the Vikings
- 14:17Speaker 2: u they let the time expire for their pick in
- 14:20Speaker 2: the first round, obviously a couple of weeks ago. It
- 14:22Speaker 2: might have been a Kevin Williams one. I forget, but
- 14:25Speaker 2: I just remember, like this didn't happen, like Mike Tice,
- 14:28Speaker 2: I believe, was the head coach of the Vikings at
- 14:30Speaker 2: that time.
- 14:31Speaker 1: All right, before we get you out of here this
- 14:33Speaker 1: morning on on sportsmanlike Adam Schefter did say the Eagles
- 14:37Speaker 1: have turned down offers for AJ Brown already, but they're
- 14:41Speaker 1: still listening. So Jeff yesterday, you know he thinks that
- 14:44Speaker 1: the Eagles would be interested to move him if they
- 14:46Speaker 1: got the right deal. Is it only if they get
- 14:48Speaker 1: their socks like they knock their socks off, or do
- 14:51Speaker 1: they hope that they can make this move?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, let me address because I did hear your your
- 14:55Speaker 2: your segment with Jeff on Monday. My understanding can come
- 14:58Speaker 2: out of the combine was that the Goes really don't
- 15:00Speaker 2: want to trade Brown. And on your point, Mike, they'd
- 15:04Speaker 2: have to be blown away to trade them. Here's the reasoning.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I'll give you my reason. This is just what I've gathered.
- 15:12Speaker 2: They think he clearly has a lot of talent left
- 15:15Speaker 2: in him. The belief around the league is he's got
- 15:17Speaker 2: at least two good years left in him. Now, Mike
- 15:20Speaker 2: saying that you also don't want to wait till it's
- 15:23Speaker 2: too late. Remember when the Eagles restructured and extended alshon
- 15:26Speaker 2: Jeffrey's contract the last time. Yep, all this like he
- 15:30Speaker 2: just kind of lost it, Like you don't know, I
- 15:32Speaker 2: know that AJ Brown's always been a better football player
- 15:35Speaker 2: more explosive. But Brown turns twenty nine in June, which
- 15:38Speaker 2: means he's twenty nine in NFL years. Typically when you
- 15:41Speaker 2: get in your thirties, you receivers have told me they
- 15:44Speaker 2: kind of lose it in their lower body, So you
- 15:47Speaker 2: want to be careful. You want to be careful. And
- 15:49Speaker 2: this is the last year fully guaranteed money for him.
- 15:52Speaker 2: If he's still here, I would say that the chance
- 15:56Speaker 2: is very strong that this will be his last year
- 15:58Speaker 2: if he's not traded. But you always have to look
- 16:01Speaker 2: at Okay, well, if we're going to trade this player,
- 16:03Speaker 2: what's our recourse. Okay, it's not freezency. There's no one
- 16:06Speaker 2: you could sign who could fill in for him. Okay,
- 16:09Speaker 2: what team is going to trade me a starting quality receiver?
- 16:12Speaker 2: And by the way, I'd want a younger receiver. I
- 16:14Speaker 2: don't want an older guy. I don't want Stefan Diggs,
- 16:17Speaker 2: who's thirty two to thirty three's got a legal issue
- 16:20Speaker 2: off the field, who's much older than Brown. I don't
- 16:22Speaker 2: want him. We've reported this a bunch of times over
- 16:25Speaker 2: the years, and inside the Birds the Patriots called multiple
- 16:27Speaker 2: times for a j Brown and Eagles were nine is
- 16:31Speaker 2: because they were trying to extend his contract the last time,
- 16:32Speaker 2: which they did. I would want a younger receiver, and
- 16:35Speaker 2: I want a first round pick. And that is the
- 16:37Speaker 2: belief that they want at least a first rounder, and
- 16:39Speaker 2: they should. The guy's still a really good football player.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Now the question is before we get out of here, Yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 2: was there a drop off? Now? Greg Cosell, who works
- 16:48Speaker 2: for us on Inside the Birds, said that the tape
- 16:51Speaker 2: was not quite as good as other years, So just
- 16:53Speaker 2: keep that in mind. It's all about what the tape
- 16:55Speaker 2: looks like. Just keep that in mind because you never
- 16:57Speaker 2: want to see any drop major drop off, a major
- 17:00Speaker 2: drop off.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But there was a little And that's what I was
- 17:02Speaker 1: saying is they would know more than all of us
- 17:04Speaker 1: to say whether or not they think the decline is coming.
- 17:06Speaker 1: And we mentioned you know, you get guys like Julio Jones,
- 17:08Speaker 1: they go from fifteen hundred yard guy to four hundred
- 17:11Speaker 1: yard guy. You get all these guys that you know,
- 17:14Speaker 1: you get did Vonte Adams and DeAndre Hopkins who are studs,
- 17:17Speaker 1: and then what is happened is they get hurt because
- 17:20Speaker 1: their age and then they never get it back.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Cooper Cup is near the end. Yeah, Now, these guys
- 17:24Speaker 2: are much older than AJ Brown, But yeah, it's Hopkins
- 17:29Speaker 2: kind of lost it and he was never explosive, but
- 17:31Speaker 2: he was a great football player. Laty Adams still played well,
- 17:34Speaker 2: but you never went to wait till it's too late,
- 17:37Speaker 2: and that's how he's battling here. So that's why I
- 17:40Speaker 2: think it. We don't do percentages ever, but it's going
- 17:43Speaker 2: to take a significant offer for Howie to move them.
- 17:45Speaker 2: And then if they do, I would love to see
- 17:48Speaker 2: who they would get who can make up for it.
- 17:50Speaker 2: And they're not in a rebuild, no right. I know
- 17:52Speaker 2: some people think if you trade AJ Brown you're in
- 17:55Speaker 2: a rebuild. No you're not. You're just it's a step back.
- 17:58Speaker 2: But then you got to see who they have to
- 17:59Speaker 2: replace them before you start.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I look at Seattle. They had Jackson Smith Injigba and
- 18:03Speaker 1: not much else at wide receiver there. Yeah, well an
- 18:07Speaker 1: older Cooper Cup and then a one trick pony in
- 18:09Speaker 1: Rashid Shaheed. I mean, so it can be done, all right,
- 18:12Speaker 1: Adam kaplan good stuff today, free agency a week from tomorrow.
- 18:16Speaker 1: The legal tampering opens on Monday. We'll have it for
- 18:20Speaker 1: you right here on Football for thanks, Adam, thank you,
