Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: All the wrong. I'll tell you what, ladies, You are
- 0:08Speaker 1: not fooling me any longer. Yeah. Let's today Thursday, on Monday,
- 0:13Speaker 1: my wife had to work like a half day at work, right,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and on our like next to our couch, there's this
- 0:20Speaker 1: book and I grab it. I'm like, oh, Corey's that.
- 0:23Speaker 1: What's she reading about? Like maybe we'll find a common interest. Okay,
- 0:26Speaker 1: And I flip somewhere three quarters through the book and
- 0:30Speaker 1: what I found in this book was shocking. It was vulgar,
- 0:39Speaker 1: it was gross, and frankly, it made me blush.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Okay, so she's reading reading a spicy, spicy bush.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I did not expect that. It's a Saturday, I'm watching,
- 0:53Speaker 1: you know, or on a Saturday when I'm watching football,
- 0:56Speaker 1: she has this book. This is what you're doing? Well,
- 1:00Speaker 1: I'm watching football.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 3: You think she's being a literary just scholarly, ladies.
- 1:08Speaker 1: You know, I think, yeah, she's you know, better, in
- 1:10Speaker 1: her brain learning.
- 1:11Speaker 2: She's bettering her brain.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Learning, you know, some new vocab words.
- 1:17Speaker 2: She might be learning something. Oh my god, your marriage listen.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Are you a spicy book reader?
- 1:24Speaker 2: Of course I'm a spicy book reader.
- 1:26Speaker 3: And what I love about spicy books for the ladies
- 1:30Speaker 3: is that you had to actually look in the book
- 1:33Speaker 3: and read to see because the title it's horrified.
- 1:37Speaker 2: But titles don't give away what it is.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Like I read, I read a book called Black Ties
- 1:43Speaker 3: and White Lies, and let me tell you, there were
- 1:46Speaker 3: very few black ties and there were very few white lies,
- 1:49Speaker 3: but there was a lot of something else you would
- 1:52Speaker 3: never know. So I like listened to my books on
- 1:55Speaker 3: audible or whatever, and.
- 1:58Speaker 1: You are not to scripted through the That seems a
- 2:01Speaker 1: wild now knowing what is in these books.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, we had to cover our tracks. We learned
- 2:08Speaker 3: from you fellas who always had the most obvious titles
- 2:13Speaker 3: for magazines. And that's that the websites you be visiting like,
- 2:19Speaker 3: we were like, we don't want to have that attached
- 2:22Speaker 3: to us, that's right, but we are also very interested,
- 2:25Speaker 3: and so the spicy book came about. And we like
- 2:29Speaker 3: to use our imaginations more than anything, and so I
- 2:33Speaker 3: just feel like a spicy book is helpful.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I think it's healthy.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I advocate for it, and you should support your wife
- 2:41Speaker 3: in these endeavors.
- 2:42Speaker 1: All right, Well, you know there is now it is
- 2:45Speaker 1: funny sitting on the couch. If I ever see that
- 2:48Speaker 1: book yeah. I'm always saying, ah, well, it's going to
- 2:51Speaker 1: be a great rest of the day for me here.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Yeah, very simple, little victory for me, Gabe. It is
- 3:01Speaker 3: my lady time of the month, and so I don't
- 3:03Speaker 3: feel like doing anything. And I got home from work
- 3:08Speaker 3: and Mikey had cleaned the kitchen, and I in my
- 3:12Speaker 3: head at work was thinking, Oh, when I got home,
- 3:15Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to do dishes.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Noah, didn't. Mikey took care of it. He's the best.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I love him. He wins at life.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I can't I cannot express to you how much I
- 3:26Speaker 3: wanted to do nothing yesterday and then got to do nothing.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it was magical.
- 3:33Speaker 1: That's your that's two days in a row. Mikey's looking
- 3:36Speaker 1: pretty good here, that's right, two point seven. Good for
- 3:38Speaker 1: that guy.
- 3:39Speaker 2: There's like one week a month where to me he's
- 3:41Speaker 2: a hero.
- 3:43Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 3:44Speaker 2: What's yours game?
- 3:45Speaker 1: My little victory is I soa When I moved from Iowa,
- 3:49Speaker 1: we when you get everything kind of out of there.
- 3:53Speaker 1: When we sold the house, it was like, oh nice,
- 3:55Speaker 1: like there's nothing tie in me to Iowa. And then
- 3:58Speaker 1: it was like, oh, wait, I still have a bank
- 4:00Speaker 1: in Iowa. Right, And so my wife and I now
- 4:04Speaker 1: have Fargo banks. But that doesn't mean you can just
- 4:07Speaker 1: like get the money right away. You gotta like transfer it,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and it can take a couple of days. One but
- 4:11Speaker 1: I officially got to cut my old Iowa Bank card
- 4:16Speaker 1: in half this morning. Yeah, I stopped at our new
- 4:20Speaker 1: favorite gas station and I tested out my new card
- 4:23Speaker 1: this morning. I'm officially not tied to Iowa at all.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I'm far a far going.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I love that.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And I have a Fargo bank now that is now
- 4:31Speaker 1: my go to bank.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you're a real local.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm a real far going. It only took me almost
- 4:38Speaker 1: a year. What is considered a road trip? I will
- 4:50Speaker 1: be on a two and a half hour car ride
- 4:52Speaker 1: today for what my family calls the glitten fishing trip,
- 4:56Speaker 1: which is interesting because I won't fish one time.
- 5:00Speaker 2: What are you gonna do?
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'll probably play some golf and hang out. Okay, Well, yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 1: so on this two and a half hour drive to
- 5:08Speaker 1: Cass Lake Lodge, would this be considered a road trip?
- 5:13Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven?
- 5:16Speaker 1: How far is there a distance? What is that distance
- 5:20Speaker 1: do you need to travel for it to be considered
- 5:23Speaker 1: a road trip. I asked chat gpt Angie and they said,
- 5:28Speaker 1: good question. There isn't a strict they said, good question.
- 5:33Speaker 1: They said, good question. There isn't a strict official definition.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But most people think of a road trip as more
- 5:39Speaker 1: than just a quick drive across town. Some people base
- 5:42Speaker 1: it on a time frame, some people base it on
- 5:45Speaker 1: like a distance, and some people base it on a purpose.
- 5:50Speaker 3: For me, I think anything can be a road trip,
- 5:54Speaker 3: so long as you're not in.
- 5:56Speaker 2: The same city.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Okay, as long as you get out if you get
- 6:00Speaker 1: out of town.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Because for there was a time where I lived in
- 6:03Speaker 3: Seattle and traffic was a nightmare, and so it could
- 6:07Speaker 3: take an hour and a half just to like go
- 6:12Speaker 3: maybe like ten blocks. Sure, and so that's not considered
- 6:15Speaker 3: a road trip. That's just traffic. Yeah right, Yeah, So
- 6:18Speaker 3: I don't think that time spent in the car necessarily dictates.
- 6:23Speaker 2: But if you're going to a different well, I don't know.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Then now I'm questioning myself because if you go from
- 6:28Speaker 3: far Go to Morehead, that's not.
- 6:30Speaker 2: A road trip.
- 6:31Speaker 1: No that you could almost just throw a rock and
- 6:34Speaker 1: they exactly.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, maybe it's a combination of things.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Sure, it's a feeling.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It's a feeling. There we go a chat. GPT was
- 6:42Speaker 2: correct in that there's no exact if it. That's right.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I think you just have to feel it. I think
- 6:48Speaker 3: actually it's snack based. So if you're getting in the
- 6:52Speaker 3: car and you're stopping at the gas station and picking
- 6:55Speaker 3: up twizzlers, nibs and sour patch case, yes, if you're
- 7:00Speaker 3: picking up like, uh, what do they call those? I
- 7:04Speaker 3: don't know words today, if you're picking up snacks.
- 7:08Speaker 2: That was not the word I wanted to use.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I wanted to selling munchies.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah, monkey's. I was trying to think of a more
- 7:15Speaker 2: like a word that was more like if you are.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You're really firing on all here, don't worry, Angie, I'll
- 7:23Speaker 1: take this over for me. There is an exact timeframe
- 7:27Speaker 1: of a road trip. Okay, what is it? It's four hours.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So you don't even think your glitten trip is a
- 7:35Speaker 3: road trip.
- 7:36Speaker 1: No, it's like a two to two and a half
- 7:37Speaker 1: hour car ride. That's just a car You can do
- 7:40Speaker 1: that in a day and come back. Okay, you know
- 7:42Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Yeah, but when I had to pick up my kids
- 7:45Speaker 3: from the airport in Minneapolis, that was like three hours
- 7:49Speaker 3: and forty five minutes.
- 7:50Speaker 2: To you, that's not a road trip.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Probably not like when I drive my parents' house in Minneapolis. Right,
- 7:56Speaker 1: it's a little over three hours. I don't say like
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm a road trip to my parents' house. You were
- 8:02Speaker 1: wrong to me. A road trip is when you reach
- 8:04Speaker 1: a distance where you would not be willing to turn
- 8:07Speaker 1: around and drive back in the same day. And for me,
- 8:10Speaker 1: that's four hours. I'm not doing eight hours in a car.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'll do three hours and fifty minutes.
- 8:15Speaker 2: But once it hits the four hour crazy in my.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Brain, I can't justify turning around at that point. That
- 8:22Speaker 1: you're wrong. So anything over four hours your road trip.
- 8:25Speaker 1: In mind, I need you to know to drive there
- 8:28Speaker 1: and you have to stop to go potty at some point,
- 8:32Speaker 1: that's a road trip. You can make it three and
- 8:34Speaker 1: a half hours without going to the bathroom.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I need you to know that when you leave today,
- 8:39Speaker 3: you are going on a road trip.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Okay, fair enough. What is considered a road trip? We
- 8:47Speaker 1: want to know this morning seven oh one two eight
- 8:49Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven? Is it a feeling? Is
- 8:52Speaker 1: it a certain mileage? Is it an amount of time
- 8:56Speaker 1: in the car? I would argue that it has to
- 8:59Speaker 1: be a four hour trip or longer. And if you're
- 9:02Speaker 1: stuck in traffic for four hours, you were on a
- 9:05Speaker 1: four hour traffic road trip.
- 9:07Speaker 2: No, that is incorrect.
- 9:09Speaker 3: I think four hours absolutely is a road trip. But
- 9:12Speaker 3: I also think that that is not like the minimum.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I think it's like two hours or an hour and
- 9:20Speaker 3: a half, or if you have to stop to get
- 9:22Speaker 3: snacks earlier. If you were tuned in and you were listening,
- 9:25Speaker 3: I had a stroke and I couldn't think of the
- 9:28Speaker 3: word I was. I meant to say, if you have
- 9:32Speaker 3: to stop at the gas station and get provisions for
- 9:36Speaker 3: the ride, that was the word.
- 9:38Speaker 2: That was the word.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Yes, if you have to get provisions or rations so
- 9:44Speaker 3: that you can make it through the drive to wherever
- 9:48Speaker 3: it is you're going, then that is a road trip.
- 9:50Speaker 1: All right. Well, Steve disagrees with you. He says four hours.
- 9:55Speaker 1: So I picked his to read first. Wow, ow it's
- 9:57Speaker 1: my number. Dean and Tanya, they both said two hours.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Terry was kind of with you, Angie, She said anything
- 10:05Speaker 1: over an hour. I love Mary's answer here. Mary says
- 10:09Speaker 1: long enough for the kids to starting to need a
- 10:11Speaker 1: drink of water or go potty. That part that's actually
- 10:14Speaker 1: the very true. That's right. And then finally Jerry says,
- 10:19Speaker 1: it isn't the distance that makes it a road trip.
- 10:22Speaker 1: It's all about who's riding shotgun. A quick trip to
- 10:25Speaker 1: the grocery store with that one friend can be a
- 10:28Speaker 1: road trip, whereas a trip across the country with someone
- 10:30Speaker 1: else can be an ordeal. Oh, I think I'm romantic
- 10:34Speaker 1: about that.
- 10:35Speaker 3: So every time you and I get in the big
- 10:37Speaker 3: ninety eight point seven truck, it's a road trip.
- 10:45Speaker 2: This is sorry, not sorry.
- 10:47Speaker 3: We say the thing you're thinking, but are too polite
- 10:49Speaker 3: to say. We die on the hill of controversial opinions,
- 10:53Speaker 3: so you don't have to gab. Is something burning a
- 10:56Speaker 3: fire in your chest right now and you gotta get
- 10:58Speaker 3: it out?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know what I think by the end
- 11:00Speaker 1: of this most or I hope some people would agree
- 11:04Speaker 1: with me, But at the start you might not.
- 11:05Speaker 2: All right, All right?
- 11:07Speaker 1: People love to say someone is out of your league
- 11:11Speaker 1: in the dating relationship scene, right Angie, Yes, I've heard this,
- 11:16Speaker 1: but I don't think that that actually exists. Attraction isn't
- 11:19Speaker 1: some universal ranking system where everyone agrees who's on top.
- 11:24Speaker 1: What makes one person desirable might not matter at all
- 11:27Speaker 1: to someone else. Sure, society tends to put looks, money,
- 11:32Speaker 1: status on a pedestal, but most real relationships are built
- 11:36Speaker 1: on compatibility, shared values, humor, and how you make each
- 11:40Speaker 1: other feel. Calling someone out of your league usually just
- 11:43Speaker 1: reflects personal insecurity and not reality. If two people choose
- 11:48Speaker 1: each other, then they are in the same league. Period.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And I say that. You know, as school starts, and
- 11:54Speaker 1: there might be some college students, high school students afraid
- 11:58Speaker 1: to talk to the hot girl, afraid to talk to
- 12:01Speaker 1: the hot guy. Go talk to that dude. He's not
- 12:04Speaker 1: out of your league. That doesn't exist. He might think
- 12:07Speaker 1: you're the cutest thing ever.
- 12:08Speaker 3: This is so thoughtful, Gabe, and I feel like rooted
- 12:12Speaker 3: in the fact that you married your wife.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Who I think he's out of your league?
- 12:16Speaker 3: True?
- 12:23Speaker 1: I have got a cheat code for you to figure
- 12:24Speaker 1: out where you stand in the family and or friend's
- 12:28Speaker 1: pecking order. Are you liked the best? Are you liked
- 12:33Speaker 1: I don't know, like third best? This is a very
- 12:35Speaker 1: easy way to tell.
- 12:37Speaker 2: What is the litmus test? Please tell me school's back
- 12:40Speaker 2: in session, right? Yeah?
- 12:41Speaker 1: What comes with school? School picture? Ah?
- 12:44Speaker 2: School pictures? I love him?
- 12:47Speaker 3: Ye?
- 12:47Speaker 1: Are you an eight by ten family member or are
- 12:50Speaker 1: you you can put this in your wallet, family member. Okay,
- 12:53Speaker 1: when you get those pictures back, do you get the
- 12:56Speaker 1: big giant sucker or do you get the one that
- 13:00Speaker 1: basically you could put on a magnet on your fridge.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Gay, but I.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Don't like that you brought this up, because then my
- 13:07Speaker 3: family's gonna know.
- 13:08Speaker 2: How I feel about them.
- 13:10Speaker 1: You do do this, whether you think you do or not.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I absolutely do.
- 13:15Speaker 3: So. We would get whatever picture package has multiple sizes,
- 13:19Speaker 3: and you know, for eighty seven four by whatever, and
- 13:25Speaker 3: they get smaller and smaller. There's even one that's smaller
- 13:28Speaker 3: than a wallet real size.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like SEMy type postage stamp.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yes, it's really small. And I one hundred percent based
- 13:38Speaker 3: on Oh Gabe, I don't like this. I hope my
- 13:42Speaker 3: family's not listening.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Based on who you like better gets the bigger picture.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's yeah, simple, it's true. It's true. Like my
- 13:50Speaker 3: sister would always get the the grandparents and the great
- 13:53Speaker 3: grandparents would get the bigger ones, the eight by tens and.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The five grandparents and great grandparents would Yeah, they'd get
- 13:59Speaker 1: well I would figure they just get them so they
- 14:03Speaker 1: can see them.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Oh my goshconsciously, is that why I did it. But
- 14:09Speaker 3: then because I was the picture distributor, and I liked
- 14:14Speaker 3: my side of the family better than my ex's side
- 14:17Speaker 3: of the family. So my sister would get like the
- 14:19Speaker 3: bigger pictures and then those teeny tiny postage stamp ones.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It's like, here you go, sister in law.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, just know that if you get the photo
- 14:31Speaker 1: that you hang on the fridge and it's a magnet, Okay,
- 14:34Speaker 1: you are not an eight by ten family member. If
- 14:44Speaker 1: you have kids, do you have a rule that they
- 14:49Speaker 1: would label you as a strict parent?
- 14:51Speaker 2: Right?
- 14:51Speaker 1: So I don't have kids, but I do say this
- 14:53Speaker 1: to my cats and dogs at the house if they
- 14:56Speaker 1: could talk, all right, this is what they would say.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I say, is strict. Why cats and dogs could talk,
- 15:01Speaker 1: they would probably think my rule of glittens are allowed
- 15:04Speaker 1: to cry, but you're not allowed to whine. It's pretty strict.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Oh I like that. Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You know, if you're hurt, sad, scared, whatever, and you
- 15:12Speaker 1: gotta cry, cry it out. But I am not gonna
- 15:15Speaker 1: sit here and listen to you just whine and moan,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and I'm not doing it.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Salem, that's your cat.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Now.
- 15:22Speaker 1: All the great news for me is they can't talk,
- 15:24Speaker 1: so I don't really care, but sadly, I don't think
- 15:28Speaker 1: they care either.
- 15:30Speaker 2: That's a good rule, though, I like that.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I think I don't have just one rule that makes
- 15:36Speaker 3: me strict. My kids think I'm the strictest mom in
- 15:38Speaker 3: the history of America, and I'm like, no, No, I
- 15:42Speaker 3: was raised by my mother, and I know she was
- 15:45Speaker 3: the strictest in the history of America. Uh, there's a
- 15:49Speaker 3: lot of.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You're a cool mom, that's right, not a regular mom.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm a cool mom.
- 15:53Speaker 3: They've admitted that they think I'm cool because they think
- 15:56Speaker 3: I'm funny, and I'll hold on to that as long
- 15:58Speaker 3: as humanly possible.
- 15:59Speaker 2: But there's just a lot of stuff.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I'm an overthinker and I'm a worrier and so it
- 16:04Speaker 3: makes me be like, no, I've watched too much laud
- 16:07Speaker 3: Order SVU, I've watched too much unsolved mysteries. Who was
- 16:10Speaker 3: allowing me to watch unsolved mysteries as a child, I
- 16:12Speaker 3: don't know, but yeah, there's too many things. So my
- 16:16Speaker 3: kids cannot have sleepovers. And we posed this question on
- 16:20Speaker 3: the big ninety eight points I have on Facebook page, and.
- 16:22Speaker 2: There were people who agreed with me.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Shaila said, no, sleepovers unless I have an extremely close
- 16:28Speaker 3: relationship with the family or am there myself. There have
- 16:31Speaker 3: been I think three times that my older kid had
- 16:35Speaker 3: aiden had a sleepover, and I was there for two
- 16:38Speaker 3: of them, and then the third one was I was
- 16:42Speaker 3: there super late at the house where I knew, you know,
- 16:45Speaker 3: the person really well and whatever. I just I feel
- 16:49Speaker 3: like everyone is a predator. We got a lot of
- 16:53Speaker 3: I feel like we got a lot of people saying
- 16:55Speaker 3: that they've banned their kids from roeblocks, and that comes
- 16:59Speaker 3: on the heels of that big Did you see what
- 17:01Speaker 3: came out about roadblocks that there's a lot of PDF
- 17:04Speaker 3: files as the kids called them.
- 17:06Speaker 1: No, I did not see that anything with kids nowadays.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm so out on I don't I just the act.
- 17:13Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 17:13Speaker 3: Game?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Right? You're a gamer and you know you can get.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Online or yeah, but you're a grown adult and you can,
- 17:20Speaker 3: you know, regulate who you'd want to have on there.
- 17:22Speaker 3: So what was happening is that on the like online
- 17:25Speaker 3: features there were gross yeah creepos who were communicating with children.
- 17:31Speaker 3: So a lot of people have banned their kids from roadblocks.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Paige said that she has an eleven year old and
- 17:38Speaker 3: a thirteen year old and I don't allow YouTube, saying, oh,
- 17:41Speaker 3: my kids are not allowed to have YouTube either, and
- 17:45Speaker 3: they think that I am a monster for that.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I wouldn't there'd be nothing on my TV. Then if
- 17:51Speaker 1: I have YouTube, that's like all I watched.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Really well, don't tell Aiden that. Okay, he can wait
- 17:58Speaker 3: until he's eighteen.
- 18:00Speaker 1: That's right. Seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 18:03Speaker 1: eight seven. Do you have a rule that would make
- 18:05Speaker 1: you a strict parent, Lisa? What about you? No dessert
- 18:09Speaker 1: until your veggies are gone.
- 18:11Speaker 2: And I don't care if it takes an hour.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Oh wow, no dessert until the veggies are gone.
- 18:16Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Alyssa had said that what we make for dinner is
- 18:20Speaker 3: the only option, and I feel like that's in the
- 18:22Speaker 3: same vein.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Same realm. Yeah, if you don't like hamburger hot dish,
- 18:27Speaker 1: all right, No you don't get to have pizza. I
- 18:29Speaker 1: feel like that was something my.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Parents were Yeah, my dad, that one meal, you're not
- 18:33Speaker 2: gonna die.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So that's right. And there is a world record that
- 18:39Speaker 1: Angie and I could set right now. Not because we
- 18:42Speaker 1: have any talents or we're special. Absolutely not we're smart
- 18:46Speaker 1: or anything like that. No, it's literally just no one's
- 18:49Speaker 1: done it, okay, but also what is it?
- 18:51Speaker 2: Because I'm like, yeah, we can do it.
- 18:54Speaker 1: We'd be one of one, uh the most high fives
- 18:59Speaker 1: in thirty seconds according to Guinness. No one has ever
- 19:03Speaker 1: attempted them or contacted them to do that record.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, we could do that.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So if no one's done thirty seconds, they definitely haven't
- 19:12Speaker 1: done ten seconds. If I time us, do you want
- 19:14Speaker 1: to see how many we can get?
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 19:15Speaker 1: Okay, all right, I'll keep track of the timer. If
- 19:18Speaker 1: you can keep track of the high fives, Oka, move
- 19:21Speaker 1: me at once.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Let me move next to you.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Okay, okay, you keep track of the high fives, you
- 19:27Speaker 1: count and I will start the timer. Okay, are you ready?
- 19:31Speaker 2: Yes?
- 19:32Speaker 1: In three, two, one, go rivening two seconds? All right?
- 19:47Speaker 1: You know you eat hard. I'm trying to go fast.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Say no, I feel like I couldn't keep the rhythm.
- 19:55Speaker 3: I also couldn't keep counting. I think we were only
- 19:57Speaker 3: twenties on things.
- 19:58Speaker 1: See, I thought we were like thirty something. So unofficially
- 20:01Speaker 1: we're gonna say twenty nine. We'll meet in the middle.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, we now hold the Guinness World Record,
- 20:06Speaker 3: pending us calling them and then I think we have
- 20:08Speaker 3: to pay a fee for the most high fives in
- 20:11Speaker 3: ten seconds.
- 20:12Speaker 1: It's weird how that works. Seven oh one two eight
- 20:15Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. If you could hold a
- 20:18Speaker 1: Guinness World record, what would it be? Let us know
- 20:21Speaker 1: this morning, Marla, what record.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Biggest collection of lost socks? Because honestly, I think I'm
- 20:28Speaker 2: close already.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's fair. I would try to challenge Marla,
- 20:32Speaker 1: but I'd assume she has more people in her family
- 20:35Speaker 1: than I.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well, and also, I mean we just set
- 20:37Speaker 3: a record, Gabel, like, leave some for the rest of
- 20:39Speaker 3: the people.
- 20:40Speaker 1: You can't have two, that's true, all right? What about you, Jake?
- 20:43Speaker 1: It would be so cool to be the fastest man
- 20:45Speaker 1: on the planet.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I've never been much of a sprinter, but you know
- 20:48Speaker 3: that doesn't stop me from dreaming of doing a fifty
- 20:50Speaker 3: yard dash in four seconds Slack.
- 20:52Speaker 1: That would be incredible.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I couldn't achieve that.
- 20:56Speaker 1: To be the fact you are literally the fast this
- 21:00Speaker 1: human on the planet. I honestly think I would find
- 21:05Speaker 1: a way to get a magic carpet ride and elevate
- 21:07Speaker 1: it like five inches off the ground, six inches off
- 21:10Speaker 1: the ground, and just go around Earth like that like
- 21:13Speaker 1: worship me.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I get winded going up the stairs. Anything with speed
- 21:17Speaker 3: is too much.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Over the weekend, the Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakur
- 21:29Speaker 1: he helped save nineteen dogs from being euthanized by assisting
- 21:33Speaker 1: Nickel City Canine Rescue with a transport for this animal shelter.
- 21:40Speaker 1: The Shakiers the family they previously rescued their dog, who's
- 21:44Speaker 1: name Missy, from the same shelter, making the effort especially
- 21:47Speaker 1: meaningful for the family. Shakira and his wife's Sailor have
- 21:51Speaker 1: been a part of rescue missions before, including one earlier
- 21:54Speaker 1: this year, and they saved twenty six dogs. The rescue
- 21:58Speaker 1: came just one day after the Secure Family Foundation hosted
- 22:03Speaker 1: a pet adoption event in Buffalo for some rescues, with
- 22:07Speaker 1: several Bills players taking part as well. Nicholsony Canine Rescue
- 22:11Speaker 1: saw eighteen dogs in their care adopted during that event,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and that's where Shakir learned about the scheduled transport and
- 22:18Speaker 1: offered to join in on the effort. Shakira ridd with
- 22:22Speaker 1: his mother and two close friends to help with the
- 22:25Speaker 1: rescue operation and a representative from the rescue. He noted
- 22:29Speaker 1: his enthusiasm and commitment to returning to support the dogs again.
- 22:34Speaker 1: There's obviously picks and video everywhere on social media right now,
- 22:38Speaker 1: and they've gone obviously beloved by just about anybody, and
- 22:43Speaker 1: it just shows him smiling and saving these dogs' lives.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I'm telling you.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Pet rescue is like the sweetest best thing on the planet.
- 22:50Speaker 3: If you want to be someone who adopts a pet
- 22:53Speaker 3: homeward animal shelter, that's right.
- 22:55Speaker 2: They always have pets for you to just adopt. They're
- 22:58Speaker 2: so cute.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Yeah, And I know when some people they're like, oh,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I've got but I gotta go to work and blah
- 23:04Speaker 1: blah blah. I saw this meme or it was something
- 23:07Speaker 1: on Facebook a handful of weeks ago, and it was
- 23:09Speaker 1: something about, you know, eight hours home alone and sixteen
- 23:13Speaker 1: hours with you every day is better than twenty four
- 23:17Speaker 1: hours in an animal shelter.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's a great way to push Yeah.
- 23:22Speaker 1: That kind of hit me hard when I saw that.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I was like, oh, that makes so much sense. So
- 23:26Speaker 1: just something to think about, you know, help out the dogs,
- 23:28Speaker 1: help out the cats, help out the animals. In general.
- 23:30Speaker 1: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 23:32Speaker 1: find one. You gotta be one.
