- 0:43Speaker 7: Welcome, Welcome, welcome, I mean listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:49Speaker 7: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Canny, Good morning to you.
- 0:52Speaker 7: We are live here on Monday, and what a quick
- 0:57Speaker 7: August is rolling by h We have reached the eighteenth
- 1:03Speaker 7: day of August. We are about seventeen eighteen days away
- 1:08Speaker 7: from a kickoff for the NFL, about two weeks for
- 1:12Speaker 7: college high school football. If you watched ESPN on Thursday
- 1:18Speaker 7: night started it season as well. On ESPN two, you
- 1:24Speaker 7: had the Milton game versus Buford here in Georgia, up
- 1:29Speaker 7: in Beaufort's new sixty two million dollars stadium. I typically
- 1:38Speaker 7: don't announce the financial part, but the key to that
- 1:43Speaker 7: is I said high school sixty two million. So that
- 1:49Speaker 7: is a kind of odd thing when you talk about
- 1:52Speaker 7: sixty two million high school stadium for most of us.
- 1:55Speaker 7: You know, you barely can find a functioning bathroom at
- 2:04Speaker 7: most high school now. The concession stands are so antiquated,
- 2:11Speaker 7: they're older than and then Big Kenny says, I am
- 2:16Speaker 7: X and you go to them, it's just a brick room.
- 2:20Speaker 7: There's no technology in them at all.
- 2:22Speaker 8: And they still service snacks like salt water taffy. We've
- 2:29Speaker 8: got butt of Scotch kids.
- 2:30Speaker 7: So to see a high school for you out there
- 2:33Speaker 7: and this is I mean, this is a thing for
- 2:36Speaker 7: the country, and I think that's why ESPN went in there.
- 2:38Speaker 7: I would love to go around the country and see
- 2:42Speaker 7: other high school venues. I'm imagining some of the games
- 2:47Speaker 7: we see a lot of the times the backdrop are
- 2:50Speaker 7: more high school teams playing at college or professional stadiums
- 2:56Speaker 7: when you see those backdrops. But for something to be
- 2:59Speaker 7: like that, I buy it, Like, Wow, this is a
- 3:01Speaker 7: nice stadium. I've been up there to it and replay,
- 3:05Speaker 7: and they got all kinds of video and they can
- 3:09Speaker 7: announce just like the colleges.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I heard they have.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Is it.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Fifteen luxury boxes? Yes at Buford, Yes, I think so.
- 3:22Speaker 8: Fifteen luxury boxes listen, now, listen.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Now, what I'm saying is Georgia state. I don't think
- 3:34Speaker 1: when they took the old.
- 3:38Speaker 8: Okay, which might be you know, which might be why
- 3:42Speaker 8: they got a little bit of space for it.
- 3:43Speaker 1: But uh, that's uh.
- 3:47Speaker 8: That Buford Milton game highlighting just what the state of
- 3:52Speaker 8: Georgia produces when it comes to athletic talent and what
- 3:57Speaker 8: people are willing to invest in that talent.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It definitely if you go to a game.
- 4:03Speaker 7: Since I've been calling game, we start here enjoy September fifth,
- 4:07Speaker 7: gpb our Broadcast starts calling games, which will be the
- 4:11Speaker 7: third official week of the high school season. But when
- 4:17Speaker 7: you go to Beauford, Beauford, the city operates like small
- 4:22Speaker 7: town colleges. And when I say small town colleges, I'm
- 4:25Speaker 7: talking about a big university like the Tuscaloosas and the
- 4:29Speaker 7: Burns and the Georgia's that are in cities that basically
- 4:34Speaker 7: operate around the sports idea. In Beauford, Georgia is as
- 4:41Speaker 7: strong as anywhere I've ever been, where the people are supporting,
- 4:46Speaker 7: where it's no matter where you move to, you still
- 4:52Speaker 7: go back. If you're still in the vicinity Wolves Country,
- 4:55Speaker 7: you go back to Wolves Country, they tailgate, so you
- 4:58Speaker 7: pull up where they're not doing anything that commandchie Greg
- 5:02Speaker 7: wants to do, barely gets the game at kickoff. Now
- 5:05Speaker 7: now they start tailgate today high school today for tomorrow's game.
- 5:11Speaker 7: I'm there to see the game.
- 5:13Speaker 8: And it was interesting in interviewing because it's been such
- 5:18Speaker 8: a highly covered media event. In interviewing the head coach,
- 5:24Speaker 8: they asked him, what would you attribute to this being
- 5:30Speaker 8: this type of expense?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Would you say that it's worth it? And why would you.
- 5:35Speaker 8: Think someone would spend this amount of money? And he said,
- 5:38Speaker 8: our fans deserve this the way that they support us.
- 5:42Speaker 8: This is something that they should have as fans.
- 5:46Speaker 7: And once you built that new high school that they
- 5:48Speaker 7: go to, you had to build a stadium that was comparable.
- 5:53Speaker 7: I mean when you pull up to their off the
- 5:55Speaker 7: red light, you look over, you think it's some kind
- 5:58Speaker 7: of big time industrial or oral cool yeah, Apple building,
- 6:03Speaker 7: and then they tell you know, that's Neuford High School.
- 6:05Speaker 7: And it's like, oh, I should go back to high
- 6:07Speaker 7: school and try that out again, see if I can
- 6:10Speaker 7: work in this place.
- 6:12Speaker 8: I was speaking of work, and I wonder how the
- 6:15Speaker 8: staff is like sixty two May you know in the stadium.
- 6:18Speaker 8: You could have gave me an extra one hundred and
- 6:21Speaker 8: fifty dollars a week.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Are they sweating about that? I don't know. I can
- 6:26Speaker 1: imagine strike now.
- 6:27Speaker 9: Yeah, teacher's like, wait a minute, now, do I know
- 6:30Speaker 9: what is technically the most expensive high school football stadium
- 6:34Speaker 9: in America?
- 6:35Speaker 8: It's in Texas, right, I would imagine. No, it is
- 6:39Speaker 8: not Pennsylvania, no, California. It was we just don't go
- 6:47Speaker 8: through the United States.
- 6:48Speaker 9: Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Campon that is
- 6:53Speaker 9: technically a high school stadium.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Is it still used as that? Is that?
- 6:57Speaker 7: Because I know when they is that what they turn
- 7:00Speaker 7: earned it into that? That's what because it's it's that's
- 7:03Speaker 7: the high school place. Yeah, right next to yeah, so
- 7:06Speaker 7: y yeah they played they yeah, they play there. Okay, Okay, Well,
- 7:10Speaker 7: in a town like Canton, I can see that because
- 7:13Speaker 7: it's similar to Buford where they plan on doing, you know,
- 7:16Speaker 7: bringing small or medium sized concerts as a city. Because
- 7:22Speaker 7: for you that don't know, beaut for Georgia, if you've
- 7:24Speaker 7: been to Atlanta, be for Georgia is about forty miles north. Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 7: you know, up by Lake Leanie. Have you ever heard
- 7:33Speaker 7: Lake noneer. It's up in that area, and I think
- 7:36Speaker 7: part of the stadium was that really between here and there,
- 7:40Speaker 7: there's only maybe one venue, the Wood and I know
- 7:44Speaker 7: i'm talking local news. There's only one venue to host stuff.
- 7:47Speaker 7: So I think part of the city idea was we'd
- 7:50Speaker 7: feel like the can't. Yeah, they were going to try
- 7:54Speaker 7: to out. Yeah when those those A listers that are
- 8:00Speaker 7: now B list performers that no longer command one hundred
- 8:07Speaker 7: thousand dollars because it's a it seats what eighty five thousand,
- 8:11Speaker 7: eighty five thousand people.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Are I'm not sure how many it seats. I'm not sure.
- 8:16Speaker 7: We have to check that out. But that's what's going here.
- 8:19Speaker 7: High school football is kicked off, so we are going strong.
- 8:22Speaker 7: Got a lot to talk about, Big Kenny h Commandchi
- 8:26Speaker 7: Greg in the building. I read one of your articles.
- 8:29Speaker 7: One of you guys sent me that. Also here in Georgia,
- 8:33Speaker 7: one of two three states, Snoop Dog is going to
- 8:37Speaker 7: be selling HEMP beverage.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Now have you you would have imagined that I would
- 8:45Speaker 1: to send you that store sports.
- 8:47Speaker 7: Jack No, no, no, I know COMANCHI. Greg is all
- 8:50Speaker 7: into theative arts. Yeah, this was this is what I
- 8:54Speaker 7: called him the Creative Arts. This is on Atlanta News first,
- 9:00Speaker 7: so it's on local TV. Then have you had hemp
- 9:04Speaker 7: in its own like, I'm trying to figure out what
- 9:06Speaker 7: it would taste like.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I don't. It's a hemp beverage. I remember years ago
- 9:13Speaker 1: we had the guy on that had built the car
- 9:15Speaker 1: out of hemp. Yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Yeah, Now I've I've tried a hemp juice and they
- 9:20Speaker 8: say that it tastes like juice and you don't taste
- 9:24Speaker 8: the hemp in it, but it tastes like hemp in juice.
- 9:32Speaker 1: So I'm saying it tastes just like weed and juice.
- 9:34Speaker 1: That's It's just you know.
- 9:36Speaker 8: So I don't know if Snoop is selling wheat juice
- 9:40Speaker 8: or this is supposed to be We've gotten.
- 9:42Speaker 1: The Does the juice doing it in that form make
- 9:48Speaker 1: it hit you faster.
- 9:52Speaker 10: That that?
- 9:53Speaker 1: I guess that depends on the individual as far as
- 9:55Speaker 1: like and see.
- 9:57Speaker 8: It used to just be in an effort to mask
- 10:01Speaker 8: the flavor and give you a different way to consume it.
- 10:04Speaker 8: But now with the power drinks and the energy they
- 10:07Speaker 8: they're trying to combine the two to give you the feeling.
- 10:11Speaker 10: Is it?
- 10:11Speaker 1: Is it illegal?
- 10:16Speaker 7: So I pulled you over for a traffic stop. I
- 10:19Speaker 7: walk up to you. I see two cans of the hemp.
- 10:27Speaker 6: We got it.
- 10:28Speaker 1: They're open. We've got it. We've got open container. Yeah. Oh,
- 10:35Speaker 1: and that's what I'm saying.
- 10:35Speaker 7: I was wondering, does it register, because it's not like
- 10:37Speaker 7: if you walk up, well and I got a can
- 10:39Speaker 7: of red, Remember you're gonna But I didn't know him.
- 10:43Speaker 8: Remember that we talked about the test strips, because that
- 10:47Speaker 8: would essentially be sort of like an edible. It doesn't
- 10:51Speaker 8: have an alcohol smell or so an open can of him.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I wonder. I don't know yet because a lot of
- 11:00Speaker 1: this stuff is new, so I can imagine the putt.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It might need to run a commercial let people know. Well,
- 11:05Speaker 1: I don't.
- 11:07Speaker 8: Well, you got to catch me with it first, and
- 11:10Speaker 8: I go, it wasn't the law when you caught me.
- 11:12Speaker 8: Until they go, Okaycause when you make.
- 11:14Speaker 7: Something, when you make things drinkable people, you almost like
- 11:17Speaker 7: kind of unzip it and make people feel like it's
- 11:20Speaker 7: a legal Yeah, if it's not alcohol, right, it's a
- 11:27Speaker 7: portable legal beverage for thirst, for refreshment. You can already
- 11:33Speaker 7: see the arrest thing on the camera. Yeah, trying to explain, No, officer,
- 11:37Speaker 7: it's not alcohol.
- 11:38Speaker 8: No, it ain't not. I ain't drinking the car under then,
- 11:42Speaker 8: mister Big Kennedy came under the influence. No, no, I'm
- 11:45Speaker 8: just drinking weed, sir. I'm not under in fluent. I'm
- 11:49Speaker 8: just drinking weed, sir. This ain't no or nothing or yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 8: what's the other? Running back and was trying to explain
- 12:01Speaker 8: that I'm just smoking. I'm just what you're talking about.
- 12:08Speaker 8: What I'm saying, Nah, I ain't drinking.
- 12:11Speaker 1: You pulling me over.
- 12:11Speaker 8: Yeah, it ain't alcoholic. I'm just drinking drug. We'd be
- 12:16Speaker 8: back right after. It is the more the Sports Duck Show.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Would give me no helidy from happen, he said, day

- 15:52Speaker 1: Here in the DJA, welcome back to this one.
- 16:02Speaker 7: Shock Shallum thew Shock, Quinn Canny Bee, Kenny Comanch, you
- 16:05Speaker 7: Greg up in the studio today.
- 16:08Speaker 1: We were just talking about Snoop Dogg. He's going to
- 16:10Speaker 1: be selling here.
- 16:11Speaker 7: I guess he has permission in three states because the
- 16:14Speaker 7: article says Georgia and two other states. He's going to
- 16:18Speaker 7: be selling this him beverage. And it takes us to
- 16:23Speaker 7: our next story. Here about Ben Griffin, the PGA player.
- 16:29Speaker 7: This weekend at the BMW Championships. I had a terrible
- 16:35Speaker 7: first round. He says that he odeed on Creatin and
- 16:43Speaker 7: I had never heard of that. He was saying that
- 16:48Speaker 7: he always drinks Crewdon doing his time out on the course,
- 16:58Speaker 7: and I guess at this particular point whatever batch he
- 17:04Speaker 7: went to had all cluttered up, and when he went
- 17:13Speaker 7: to mix the drink and proper dosage, you know, well
- 17:17Speaker 7: you know how like you know, salt and things, you
- 17:19Speaker 7: get those clusters. But I guess of the moistness it
- 17:24Speaker 7: pulls it together. It makes like he says that he
- 17:28Speaker 7: kind of quickly put it in because he was rushing
- 17:31Speaker 7: its water bottle. I guess it didn't dissolve. However, he
- 17:36Speaker 7: was drinking it and he drunk more than he should have.
- 17:44Speaker 7: I think he called a snowball. Yeah, yeah, snowball of
- 17:51Speaker 7: it went down his throat where he's saying it like
- 17:54Speaker 7: almost like yeah, it felt like a piece of glass,
- 17:58Speaker 7: but it was concentrate rated creatin right, and that's what
- 18:03Speaker 7: had him shaking and all that his erratic play there
- 18:07Speaker 7: on that first round of the BMW Championship with Scotty Scheffer.
- 18:13Speaker 7: Scheffler won the BMW, which he's been on a hot
- 18:17Speaker 7: streak since you put them cuffs on him.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Street Crag Street, Craig.
- 18:22Speaker 8: I'm saying, you know, the struggling, the struggle is real
- 18:27Speaker 8: when you're fighting against the man you fight a little harder,
- 18:31Speaker 8: you fight a little harder. But I would I would
- 18:35Speaker 8: have loved to have seen that creatin explanation from the
- 18:39Speaker 8: side of the road. What's wrong with you, sir? Oh
- 18:41Speaker 8: bro even with that terminology, I'm snowballing. I'm gonna need
- 18:48Speaker 8: you to step out the car, sir, I need back up.
- 18:51Speaker 15: Uh.
- 18:51Speaker 8: I didn't know that creatin could do that could give
- 18:54Speaker 8: you jittery unsteady nurse either. I thought it was an
- 19:00Speaker 8: they have it in a different kind of I thought
- 19:02Speaker 8: it was a nutrient. Yeah, it's it's a supper. I
- 19:05Speaker 8: thought it was like in powerformance. I thought it was
- 19:07Speaker 8: like a pre workout type of thing. You take it
- 19:11Speaker 8: before you put it in water or whatever before a workout.
- 19:17Speaker 8: That's what I thought it.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Was me too. I mean, you'll looking over here like
- 19:21Speaker 1: I got another I don't. I don't really dabble.
- 19:25Speaker 8: And then to have a n product to have a
- 19:28Speaker 8: specific uh language like snowballing, that's you know, come on, man.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I don't know. And I guess the thing that six
- 19:37Speaker 1: is like do you need that to play golf?
- 19:41Speaker 9: I thought golf was I mean, I know it's it's
- 19:44Speaker 9: an athletic activity, but I didn't think all that was
- 19:47Speaker 9: necessary to play.
- 19:49Speaker 1: No, I didn't know.
- 19:50Speaker 7: I thought he's trying to find on edge. I guess
- 19:55Speaker 7: he's talking about it like Big You and Big Kenny
- 19:57Speaker 7: are saying like it is more of like a stimulant.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how that's how it makes it.
- 20:03Speaker 7: Then it is some kind of nutritional supplement gator Rade
- 20:07Speaker 7: type drink, yeah, because they have things like that to
- 20:10Speaker 7: kind of keep you nourished.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Right, So.
- 20:17Speaker 7: Electro likes so you don't feel like you're weakening as
- 20:21Speaker 7: the course goes. But he making it sound like you're
- 20:25Speaker 7: drinking and be like, hey man.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I'm on the ninth hole. That's cool. I didn't even know. Yeah,
- 20:32Speaker 1: he's right.
- 20:33Speaker 7: I've never overdosed on Criton before, but I think I
- 20:38Speaker 7: did in the moment because I didn't really drink any
- 20:42Speaker 7: water after that. I basically just inhaled a snowball. I
- 20:47Speaker 7: started getting super shaky. See the truth of Set You Free.
- 20:53Speaker 8: I was sitting here thinking it and said, no, I'm
- 20:55Speaker 8: not gonna say that, and then one of our low
- 20:58Speaker 8: listeners held the Casey Hugh said he got his little

- 22:16Speaker 7: have no personal experience with shaking white substance myself. Uh,
- 22:21Speaker 7: And I'm I had to go with Casey. When I
- 22:24Speaker 7: first read the story, I was giving Ben the benefit
- 22:27Speaker 7: of that.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I wasn't. I never was.

- 26:58Speaker 7: Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you as we are
- 27:02Speaker 7: rolling into the beginning of the last week of preseason football.
- 27:08Speaker 7: I remember only three games down the NFL in the preseason.
- 27:12Speaker 7: They took that fourth game and pulled it into the
- 27:15Speaker 7: regular season to make a seventeen game season. So even
- 27:21Speaker 7: though we are seventeen eighteen days from that Thursday night
- 27:26Speaker 7: game the kick off the season on the fourth of September,
- 27:30Speaker 7: we still have one more preseason game to go. Did
- 27:35Speaker 7: I say that that Scotty Shuffler did win? I know
- 27:38Speaker 7: we were talking about being Griffin. Okay, Scotty since the cuffs,
- 27:42Speaker 7: I'm saying now, I one like nine tournaments now listen, now,
- 27:46Speaker 7: didn't golf supposed to be the gentleman game. We out
- 27:48Speaker 7: here with snowballs, we in handcuff. This sounded like that music.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 27:54Speaker 7: Now, are we at the b ET Award? Are we
- 27:58Speaker 7: at the Masters Tournament? Are we but being just gotta win?
- 28:03Speaker 7: And for you out there, hey, hit us up. Let
- 28:05Speaker 7: us know you think being Griffin PGA Tour just mixed.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Up his bag. Everybody's saying that. Everybody's saying it.
- 28:13Speaker 7: Everybody's saying no, because he wouldn't have had that other
- 28:16Speaker 7: drug that you might be referring to in his bag
- 28:20Speaker 7: at the venue what he would have had.
- 28:25Speaker 8: If they look similar. You sound like a dude that's
- 28:29Speaker 8: never been addicted to drugs. He sounded like a dude
- 28:33Speaker 8: that don't use drugs at all.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Listen.
- 28:35Speaker 8: One of the attractions that people have to drugs is
- 28:39Speaker 8: they're portable.
- 28:40Speaker 1: You could take them anywhere you go.
- 28:42Speaker 8: I'm saying, drugs are kind of like a best friend everywhere,
- 28:48Speaker 8: and people are always happy to see them when they
- 28:51Speaker 8: get where they going. That's what I'm saying.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you take it out.
- 28:54Speaker 8: It's a nice day, you walk in, it's sunny. Why
- 28:57Speaker 8: not have some cruis. I'm going to the course White
- 29:00Speaker 8: the first round. Yes sir, yes, sir, the best time
- 29:04Speaker 8: to do it.
- 29:05Speaker 1: But listen, listen, love what you do and you'll never
- 29:08Speaker 1: work in your life. Well.
- 29:12Speaker 8: Ben Griffin one of the great stories so far this year.
- 29:17Speaker 8: He just was a creek creatin overdose, that's all it was.
- 29:20Speaker 8: And we didn't all done it at my right overdose.
- 29:24Speaker 8: We had a snowball of creatu and was like, ah, freeze, freeze,
- 29:30Speaker 8: and got jittery.
- 29:32Speaker 1: And then they they wanted to stop. They wanted to
- 29:35Speaker 1: make your heart stop beating so fast. No, I never
- 29:38Speaker 1: needed nor can and that what it's called. Yeah can, Yeah,
- 29:44Speaker 1: But how did you know that's what it's called? You
- 29:47Speaker 1: see it be signs people the people did never oh
- 29:52Speaker 1: d say stuff like what the stuff that they bring
- 29:54Speaker 1: you back?
- 29:56Speaker 7: The name of it, that's what they always use on
- 29:59Speaker 7: the TV show, the doctor shows and stuff. They talking
- 30:04Speaker 7: about the football season, something that is already in motion
- 30:09Speaker 7: where fans are upset. The Minnesota Vikings, the New Orleans Saints. Uh,
- 30:17Speaker 7: there's other teams that have already instituted this. The l
- 30:21Speaker 7: A Rams actually take credit for being the first team
- 30:24Speaker 7: to have male cheerleaders, but the Viking fans and the
- 30:31Speaker 7: Saints fans over the last week are kind of upset
- 30:35Speaker 7: that their two teams are adding more. I don't I
- 30:39Speaker 7: couldn't find something that said this is they're adding their
- 30:41Speaker 7: first male cheerleaders as much as it's saying there they're
- 30:47Speaker 7: adding more. I mean cause because the first night at
- 30:50Speaker 7: first we was we was d e eye witty.
- 30:53Speaker 1: You feel me?
- 30:54Speaker 8: You feel between we we the e eyewitny gone, brot
- 30:58Speaker 8: let us try to get on out there with him
- 30:59Speaker 8: and do it a little two four six eights. You
- 31:02Speaker 8: know what I'm saying, Bro, you could be the pyramid base.
- 31:05Speaker 8: We cool with that now the whole front line, dude,
- 31:10Speaker 8: brou and And to make sure because a lot of
- 31:13Speaker 8: us do know in these situations, I think they're constituting
- 31:20Speaker 8: the men as cheerleaders, so not the one you know,
- 31:28Speaker 8: like in college, like a squat, like you're saying, the
- 31:32Speaker 8: males that hold them up and they have on the
- 31:34Speaker 8: whole the different they're still labeled as cheerleaders. Yes, yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 8: but that's competitive cheer, not the same like it's not Yeah,
- 31:43Speaker 8: it's not competitive.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Cheer, No, no it's not.
- 31:45Speaker 8: It's more synchronized dance in the NFL is sort of
- 31:50Speaker 8: their cheerleading style.
- 31:52Speaker 7: Well, I'm differentiating between how these male cheerleaders are performing.
- 31:59Speaker 7: They're not the base, they're not the hole the ladies.
- 32:03Speaker 8: Yeah, that's something that actually full fledged cheerleader, cheerleaders, pump pums,
- 32:10Speaker 8: all that kind of thing.
- 32:12Speaker 7: The franchise confirmed that there will be a total of
- 32:15Speaker 7: thirteen men on the twenty twenty five Saints cheer squad.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Out of how many cheerleaders.
- 32:25Speaker 7: They added, I guess they added three men and got
- 32:30Speaker 7: rid of three women. The Saints, the Vikings this season,
- 32:35Speaker 7: the Panthers, Bucks, Chiefs, Colts, Titans, Patriots, forty nine Ers, Eagles, Rams,
- 32:42Speaker 7: and Ravens will all feature male cheerleaders cheerleaders on their
- 32:49Speaker 7: squad in twenty twenty five. But the uproar, I think,
- 32:53Speaker 7: like I said, is not that because sometimes if you
- 32:57Speaker 7: don't differentiate, then you never I like to start in
- 33:01Speaker 7: the middle of something, and it's kind of like bick
- 33:04Speaker 7: Kenny is saying, I was cool when it was four
- 33:07Speaker 7: or five, and now you've decided to triple that right,
- 33:12Speaker 7: so that if you don't put it that way, you
- 33:15Speaker 7: make it seem like I'm just completely against it.
- 33:20Speaker 1: And not that that's right.
- 33:22Speaker 7: So I'm not taking that stance that right or wrong,
- 33:25Speaker 7: I'm just telling you this seems to be that these
- 33:28Speaker 7: teams well might be adding too many or the sensibilities
- 33:34Speaker 7: of their fan base.
- 33:38Speaker 8: And I get confused, as there was a time when
- 33:42Speaker 8: the cheerleading was demeaning, and then it became empowering, and
- 33:50Speaker 8: then it became something that when the guys wanted to
- 33:54Speaker 8: do it. Now you're taking opportunities away from females, and
- 33:58Speaker 8: then it became the quality thing. And now it's we
- 34:02Speaker 8: got to be more representation than even the people who
- 34:06Speaker 8: were originally included in the group. And the NFL has
- 34:12Speaker 8: said that they go with what the fans want, so
- 34:17Speaker 8: we have to assume that this is what the demographic
- 34:21Speaker 8: that supports that franchise is asking for.
- 34:25Speaker 7: And this is where we always talk about how from
- 34:29Speaker 7: the conception of this show, we labeled it sports entertainment,
- 34:34Speaker 7: right because that's what sports has gone. Sports now has
- 34:38Speaker 7: to function as a as though it's a movie set,
- 34:42Speaker 7: right Like we got to check the boxes of all
- 34:47Speaker 7: the all as chlobe. We got to make sure we
- 34:49Speaker 7: have of this or that we have to have it visible.
- 34:54Speaker 7: We have to make sure the announcement last week we
- 34:57Speaker 7: were talking about the first female regular season umpire, right.
- 35:03Speaker 7: And when I first saw the story, I was sitting
- 35:05Speaker 7: there thinking that had already happened, because I guess enough time,
- 35:12Speaker 7: once they're on the field, you're going to rotate them in.
- 35:17Speaker 1: At some point. You can tell me that year one,
- 35:20Speaker 1: while I'm not an UMP, right, but by year ten
- 35:24Speaker 1: and I keep putting in for the UMP ship, you
- 35:28Speaker 1: get spring training.
- 35:31Speaker 7: So it has become that when you look at some
- 35:36Speaker 7: of the cases, you look at what they are measuring.
- 35:39Speaker 7: It's no longer jazz, I put fifty three men on
- 35:43Speaker 7: a field and let's go win a football game. And
- 35:46Speaker 7: you would almost think that the NFL has gone corporate
- 35:52Speaker 7: or that they're not privately owned.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Well, and I want it in a sense, they're not
- 35:57Speaker 1: on the stock market.
- 35:58Speaker 8: Remember when we talked about the changing of the names
- 36:01Speaker 8: from Guardians and Indians, from Redskins to Commanders. A lot
- 36:08Speaker 8: of what was said, is the franchise, the people that
- 36:11Speaker 8: this is supposed to have been offending, never asked for
- 36:15Speaker 8: this stuff. These were the fans saying that you should
- 36:19Speaker 8: do something to make it right.
- 36:21Speaker 1: And is that this kind of call again?
- 36:26Speaker 8: Is this the NFL going, Hey, look man, let's do
- 36:28Speaker 8: something to make the fans happy right now. So what
- 36:31Speaker 8: we're gonna do is we gonna make because right now
- 36:35Speaker 8: we see a push we see a pushback the other
- 36:38Speaker 8: way of restricting.
- 36:40Speaker 1: The DEI mindset.
- 36:43Speaker 8: And this seems to be the well you're still safe
- 36:46Speaker 8: here kind of move, like, not only are you safe here,
- 36:49Speaker 8: you can flourish in sports where we still invite everybody
- 36:53Speaker 8: to watch and spend their money and come and enjoy.
- 36:56Speaker 8: We got shops and games and all of that at
- 37:00Speaker 8: our sports venue for you.
- 37:02Speaker 7: Well, you you always have different mindsets of ownership and
- 37:06Speaker 7: who run teams. I think now we're starting to get
- 37:09Speaker 7: to where the owners of teams are more business minded
- 37:14Speaker 7: than they are sports minded. We at our age just
- 37:19Speaker 7: happened to be from a time where the owner were
- 37:22Speaker 7: more more football based. So football was first, business was second.
- 37:32Speaker 7: Now you have someone being the buying the team that
- 37:36Speaker 7: used to be in Silicon Valley. The guy for the Clippers,
- 37:41Speaker 7: Balmer is Balmber. Yeah, Steve Baber, Steve Balmer. So you
- 37:47Speaker 7: imagine and he goes and now he owns the Clippers.
- 37:51Speaker 7: He's gonna his whole makeup is business. So he's going
- 37:57Speaker 7: to cater everything to how what is going to generate
- 38:01Speaker 7: more profit from the club house to what is represented.
- 38:05Speaker 7: He's going to feel like I gotta go out. Like
- 38:09Speaker 7: we were talking golf, the Masters had to go out
- 38:12Speaker 7: and add female members. Yeah, remember we were that about
- 38:18Speaker 7: ten years ago. They had with the Master with Augusta
- 38:21Speaker 7: Augusta National and they was a private owned club, but
- 38:26Speaker 7: people was putting pressure on them that they didn't have
- 38:28Speaker 7: a female member.
- 38:31Speaker 8: And now when you said that the Saints male cheerleaders
- 38:36Speaker 8: would be performing capacity more like the female cheerleaders, are
- 38:42Speaker 8: they going to address the same Are they going to
- 38:44Speaker 8: the same routine or.
- 38:45Speaker 7: Well, I think yeah. I'm just trying to get you
- 38:48Speaker 7: to understand it can be both. Most of us are
- 38:51Speaker 7: used to male chick If you went to college that
- 38:54Speaker 7: had any kind of he's holding the megaphone and he
- 38:57Speaker 7: was yeah. So it's not that you're not used to
- 38:59Speaker 7: seeing male chill writers. I think in the NFL and
- 39:03Speaker 7: as they are growing into pro sports, it's not just
- 39:07Speaker 7: reserved to do that right, right, that whole pyramid, strong guy,
- 39:13Speaker 7: old the big horn, run with the big flag. Right,
- 39:17Speaker 7: that's a college right, male cheerleader. For some of the
- 39:20Speaker 7: stuff they want to do in college, you actually need
- 39:24Speaker 7: somebody wrong, big and strong. But at the Saints, how
- 39:28Speaker 7: they do that there They're actually in the dance routine
- 39:32Speaker 7: and things like that. So we'll see how that trails
- 39:36Speaker 7: into the season. We'll be back with more the Sports
- 39:38Speaker 7: Shock Show right after this.
- 39:41Speaker 1: But I'm not.
- 39:50Speaker 5: See I'm budget.
- 39:51Speaker 11: You need me, don't go Awayne Bred of The Sports

- 41:44Speaker 18: Beswin all lock on so you'll can see a sports
- 41:59Speaker 18: joint ain't even big.
- 42:03Speaker 7: Welcome back to this boy Shock Shun this boy shock
- 42:06Speaker 7: Kwayne Candie. Good morning to you out there in listening land.
- 42:13Speaker 7: We have had another death in the world of bodybuilding.
- 42:23Speaker 7: They in that sport alone have lost six bodybuilders in
- 42:33Speaker 7: the last six months months. Excuse me. And on top
- 42:40Speaker 7: of that, you add in that running Coleman I was
- 42:47Speaker 7: at death's door. There was a moment where he was
- 42:50Speaker 7: in the hospital that we were reporting. You know, the
- 42:54Speaker 7: doctor at one point was kind of like, might want
- 42:56Speaker 7: to get the family down here, But last I heard
- 43:01Speaker 7: he did, it's still recovering. I bring this story because
- 43:07Speaker 7: even though it's not a big sport as far as coverage,
- 43:14Speaker 7: you try to you place six deaths on any of
- 43:18Speaker 7: our favorite sports. Even if you just went to if
- 43:24Speaker 7: six people have died in NASCAR in the for six months,
- 43:29Speaker 7: you can almost see any of the Senate closing it
- 43:35Speaker 7: down for a moment. Wouldn't you know what's going on?
- 43:38Speaker 7: Can't you see that at least calling for a hearing
- 43:41Speaker 7: that will be reporting. Hey man, they shut down the
- 43:43Speaker 7: brickyard four hundred this week because Congress said they need
- 43:47Speaker 7: to talk to somebody now.
- 43:49Speaker 8: And I think I think personally, I think personally, the
- 43:52Speaker 8: only reason it hadn't been addressed yet is if if
- 43:59Speaker 8: for years, if for the entire time that NASCAR existed,
- 44:05Speaker 8: people were going, Man, those cars go too fast, and
- 44:09Speaker 8: in the first six months somebody was killed. They'd be
- 44:13Speaker 8: quiet for a little while because they're going. They're sitting
- 44:16Speaker 8: around trying to figure out, how are we going to
- 44:18Speaker 8: address the fact that, yeah, these cars kind of go
- 44:20Speaker 8: too fast. And now it's getting hard to ignore that
- 44:23Speaker 8: a lot of people associate body building with supplements and
- 44:29Speaker 8: all kinds of power enhancing drugs. And it would seem,
- 44:36Speaker 8: at least to a reasonably suspicious mind, that six people
- 44:45Speaker 8: in the same industry in a short span of time die,
- 44:49Speaker 8: not get sick, not are afflicted with some side effects.
- 44:53Speaker 6: Die.
- 44:53Speaker 8: It's almost akin to fentanyl hitting street drugs. Everyone is
- 44:59Speaker 8: now get there in their municipalities, getting their EMTs equipped
- 45:05Speaker 8: with our darcand because you never know when you're gonna
- 45:08Speaker 8: get shaky on the back nine from overloading on creatine,
- 45:12Speaker 8: you see what I'm saying.
- 45:13Speaker 1: So now.
- 45:16Speaker 8: Maybe that's the reason nobody's man, we got it. We
- 45:20Speaker 8: really got to start circling the wagons. And what are
- 45:23Speaker 8: we going to do when we shut this down? How
- 45:26Speaker 8: long is this going to be shut down? Will constitute
- 45:29Speaker 8: cleaning it up? I mean we're talking about.
- 45:33Speaker 7: And that's the part why I said, it's it for
- 45:36Speaker 7: six people in six months. That's various, various ages, So
- 45:43Speaker 7: it's not like six, oh yeah, we're talking about from
- 45:50Speaker 7: like twenty one, thirty seven, forty three, fifty like for
- 45:57Speaker 7: that to be it.
- 45:59Speaker 1: And I guess I'm a little.
- 46:02Speaker 7: Always heightened because I always see how especially for the
- 46:07Speaker 7: NFL with the concussion thing.
- 46:09Speaker 1: It threw me because.
- 46:12Speaker 7: I didn't get how the NFL got labeled for something
- 46:18Speaker 7: that you had said, you don't know when it occurs.
- 46:23Speaker 7: The young man, unfortunately, two weeks ago that went up
- 46:27Speaker 7: there to the NFL offices, yeah, never never even played
- 46:31Speaker 7: college football, had decided, and you imagine everything that he
- 46:35Speaker 7: felt that got into his head came that we were
- 46:39Speaker 7: reporting it from an NFL. He didn't go to the
- 46:42Speaker 7: NCAA offices. He didn't go to some kind of National
- 46:46Speaker 7: High School Football Association office. He had decided because we
- 46:52Speaker 7: have decided that it's an NFL thing. But I can't
- 46:56Speaker 7: tell you when you get ct I can't tell you
- 47:00Speaker 7: that once you went to play junior year of high
- 47:03Speaker 7: school football, CTE was already in the works in your brain.
- 47:09Speaker 7: However it works, maybe you're born with it.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Who knows.
- 47:14Speaker 7: I'm just gonna put on the NFL though this NFL.
- 47:18Speaker 7: Oh no, I know, but I know not. But I'm
- 47:21Speaker 7: saying it got to be them. It's it's like it's
- 47:25Speaker 7: not like it's like a virus, they like injected. And
- 47:29Speaker 7: I'm not making light. I'm saying, but bodybuilding and others.
- 47:32Speaker 7: And I'm like, cause I just look at sports as sports.
- 47:35Speaker 7: I just know six people six months Congress would have
- 47:39Speaker 7: been on steps in somewhere. If six Major League Baseball
- 47:42Speaker 7: players have died on the diamond, yeah, they would take
- 47:48Speaker 7: at least a week, like, oh, y'all got to stop playing?
- 47:50Speaker 7: What's wrong? Is something in the soil? Similar to the
- 47:54Speaker 7: remember the horses horses? Yeah, at the track where they
- 47:57Speaker 7: had in the track. It was a TV show, No, no, no,
- 48:04Speaker 7: this TV show.
- 48:06Speaker 8: And there was a particular track in California, in California
- 48:11Speaker 8: where about seven horses had died, and they shut the
- 48:15Speaker 8: track down to do some sort of investigation on why
- 48:20Speaker 8: that number of horses was dying in that particular area.
- 48:23Speaker 7: Because if I'm a on the Senate committee and you
- 48:27Speaker 7: bring this as evidence, I'm not sure I'm not voting
- 48:30Speaker 7: that we need to ban bodybuilding well, forget the substance.
- 48:35Speaker 7: Now you can go over out of the country and
- 48:38Speaker 7: do it. I don't have now see in the United
- 48:41Speaker 7: States of America now now, But.
- 48:42Speaker 8: This is the thing sports Jack, if we're to believe
- 48:44Speaker 8: some of what people say about sports, and not all
- 48:49Speaker 8: of its sports is about profit and bodybuilding as they
- 48:54Speaker 8: don't have those big TV rights deals I aim as
- 49:00Speaker 8: other leagues have. But you can guarantee that when one
- 49:05Speaker 8: of those bodybuilders comes out and says, I use this supplement,
- 49:09Speaker 8: they make tens of billions of dollars on people running
- 49:12Speaker 8: out to get that brand of creating. And then when
- 49:15Speaker 8: they hear this guy go, who I had the shakes,
- 49:17Speaker 8: bodybuilders go, that's the stuff I need. And so nobody
- 49:22Speaker 8: wants it shut down because that's going to affect the
- 49:25Speaker 8: bottom line. So I'm imagining for me it would be
- 49:29Speaker 8: just a flat out safety issue. And elder Casey Hughey
- 49:33Speaker 8: asked were there any commonalities in their depths. I would
- 49:36Speaker 8: imagine that would be an autopsy report, which when someone
- 49:40Speaker 8: dies that young, they usually.
- 49:42Speaker 9: Do one well, so onesphyxiated. The most recent one, there's
- 49:46Speaker 9: no cause of death announced. One was attacked with a hammer,
- 49:51Speaker 9: so it's probably not related necessarily, but with the other
- 49:55Speaker 9: five there's there's I think there's some kind of connection.
- 49:59Speaker 1: We'll find out if and and that's why I said.
- 50:04Speaker 7: Being the sport period, Yeah, because I'm not just talking
- 50:07Speaker 7: about the supplements, right about whatever centers around.
- 50:11Speaker 1: This sport has has control. Yeah.
- 50:17Speaker 8: Yeah, so whatever that is, I don't know what it is.
- 50:20Speaker 8: And so was the reason when she had retired? So like,
- 50:23Speaker 8: is there some kind of withdrawals evers? So they are
- 50:26Speaker 8: male and female body, yes, okay, so that's across gender, across.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Haley Haley Niff.
- 50:32Speaker 7: Yeah, that that she's thirty seven years old and Craig
- 50:36Speaker 7: Liquor it was I think last week he was fifty seven.
- 50:39Speaker 8: Yeah, so that's no controlled test group. That's uh, just
- 50:44Speaker 8: wide spectrum. We'll be back when the Sports Jock Show
- 50:46Speaker 8: right after.
- 50:47Speaker 6: This apparent to me.
- 50:54Speaker 8: Now I'm just.

- 52:00Speaker 20: Center Court on sports News gossip blah blah blah blah blah.
- 52:09Speaker 8: I see.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Good God, nothing can stop me. I'm all away up.
- 52:22Speaker 6: All away up.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I'm all away up up, I'm all away up. Nothing
- 52:29Speaker 1: to stop me, I'm all away shot. What you won't show?
- 52:32Speaker 4: What you need?
- 52:32Speaker 1: What's your namest? One game? Win? Never leave, never leave
- 52:36Speaker 1: counting walk like this Shock Show.
- 52:38Speaker 7: I'm this war shock Wing Candy Michael Porter Junior who
- 52:43Speaker 7: has been with the Denver team out in what's his
- 52:53Speaker 7: brother now? I was trying to think of his brother's name. Uh,
- 52:57Speaker 7: John Te Porter, one of the one that was a
- 53:00Speaker 7: ban Yeah, John Table Johnte. Michael has been with the
- 53:05Speaker 7: Nuggets his first what five years has been six seven seven? Okay,
- 53:11Speaker 7: he's with someone else right now. He was traded to Brooklyn, Brooklyn,
- 53:15Speaker 7: but he was talking about sports betting and his connection
- 53:18Speaker 7: is his brother. The story we reported on with the
- 53:22Speaker 7: guy that out of with Toronto, Yeah Raptors, was suspended
- 53:31Speaker 7: and basically banned from the NBA for life. But his brother,
- 53:37Speaker 7: Michael Porter, who's still and the more famous of the
- 53:40Speaker 7: Porter brothers, says that sports bedding impact is going to
- 53:45Speaker 7: get worse. It has detracted from the integrity and the
- 53:51Speaker 7: enjoyment of the game. Guys, big statement. We've talked about
- 53:58Speaker 7: the gambling, We've talked about the pressure as far as
- 54:01Speaker 7: fans and how they deal with players. They're looking for
- 54:07Speaker 7: the points. You can watch a game with someone and
- 54:12Speaker 7: not know why they're screaming. You're looking at the game
- 54:15Speaker 7: and they're upset because someone didn't do something that would
- 54:21Speaker 7: have gotten their points.
- 54:23Speaker 1: One of my good friends they had their.
- 54:24Speaker 7: Draft and they drove from Fort Lado Dale up to
- 54:29Speaker 7: Orlando to have their fantasy football draft.
- 54:34Speaker 1: That's how big it is.
- 54:36Speaker 7: Well, fantasy football is all bet on points and all
- 54:40Speaker 7: those performance and all that.
- 54:41Speaker 8: And it used to just be for fun, but now
- 54:43Speaker 8: people have waging pools and all of Yes, in fantasy football,
- 54:52Speaker 8: a lot of people say they won't cross the line.
- 54:55Speaker 8: Line ain't presented to everybody. If you were in a
- 54:59Speaker 8: situation where you could guarantee, you could absolutely, unequivocally, without
- 55:08Speaker 8: any doubt, guarantee the outcome of that situation to your
- 55:16Speaker 8: benefit and quote nobody get hurt.
- 55:23Speaker 1: How you gonna not take that chance? Well, that's and
- 55:27Speaker 1: that's what I think. This is the danger in that.
- 55:30Speaker 7: Well, Michael Border Jr. Is talking to probably with the
- 55:33Speaker 7: insight on his brother's understanding, similar to what we talked
- 55:37Speaker 7: about with up in Ohio, because when we were talking
- 55:44Speaker 7: about his brother, a lot of those bets were more
- 55:47Speaker 7: prop bets. They had nothing to do with who won
- 55:52Speaker 7: the game. And if that's the truth, then he's probably
- 55:55Speaker 7: sitting there almost reflecting on his brother's demand. His brother's
- 56:00Speaker 7: demise is set around the fact that.
- 56:04Speaker 8: Nobody don't get hurt and I can guarantee I just
- 56:07Speaker 8: get three rebounds. I can guarantee that I can guarantee
- 56:11Speaker 8: you I only play nine minutes.
- 56:14Speaker 9: The score, it's not well, the thing that's with the
- 56:16Speaker 9: score is if the over like the spread, like you know,
- 56:19Speaker 9: somebody winning by seven or eight points. But the prop
- 56:22Speaker 9: bets is that's what's getting more attention now to where
- 56:27Speaker 9: like Ohio, Ohio now is putting restrictions on those kind
- 56:31Speaker 9: of prop bets, like it was one with the Cleveland
- 56:34Speaker 9: Indian Well Indians Guardians. Pitcher, he's a reliever, comes to
- 56:39Speaker 9: the game. The prop bet is the first pitch he
- 56:42Speaker 9: throws will be a ball. He throws it over the
- 56:46Speaker 9: over the catcher's head, and so people and but a
- 56:49Speaker 9: lot of but it was investigated that a lot of
- 56:51Speaker 9: people put money on the first pitch.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Being a ball. So those bets now come home. That's
- 56:58Speaker 1: what's getting people when they you know.
- 57:00Speaker 8: Well, if I know if I go the first dude
- 57:03Speaker 8: ever to throw a ball on my first pitch, no,
- 57:05Speaker 8: you're around, you're around. If if if it was if
- 57:09Speaker 8: it just missed the strike zone or if it was low,
- 57:12Speaker 8: there probably wouldn't be suspicious throw his feet over the
- 57:15Speaker 8: catchers your honor. Have you ever seen a professional base
- 57:19Speaker 8: Have you ever seen a professional baseball pitcher throw an
- 57:22Speaker 8: errant pitchy?
- 57:23Speaker 7: I rest my case what Big Kenny is alluding to.
- 57:25Speaker 7: It's how we have been talking about it through the
- 57:28Speaker 7: prop bet. Then that puts nine out of ten players
- 57:33Speaker 7: at risk based on what you're offering them. So if
- 57:38Speaker 7: you're gonna dry out drop a bag, I don't care
- 57:40Speaker 7: how much money I'm making. If you're gonna drop a
- 57:43Speaker 7: bag for one hundred thousand dollars, that the first pitch
- 57:46Speaker 7: when I go in the game is going to be
- 57:48Speaker 7: a ball to come on in that same series, I
- 57:54Speaker 7: strike him out seven, so I.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Can throw the ball.
- 57:56Speaker 7: I can throw a ball on the first pitch and
- 57:59Speaker 7: throw three more pitches and strike him out nothing.
- 58:02Speaker 1: What happened. What happened. I came out and I locked
- 58:07Speaker 1: in twin. That's what happened.
- 58:09Speaker 8: I threw that arrant pitch and somebody went yeah, and
- 58:13Speaker 8: I was like they cheering for my demise twin and
- 58:16Speaker 8: then high heat, high heat, high heat, and I killed
- 58:19Speaker 8: seven in a row. And then after the game, somebody
- 58:23Speaker 8: dropped the bag for one hundred thousand dollars at my
- 58:25Speaker 8: feet and we all went home and celebrated and nobody
- 58:30Speaker 8: got hurt.
- 58:33Speaker 7: Come on, twin, I'm gonna throw the I'm a throw
- 58:36Speaker 7: the Remember, at the end of the day, the team
- 58:38Speaker 7: didn't get hurt.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Nobody got hurt, nobody. I didn't hit the dude with
- 58:43Speaker 1: the ball. No.
- 58:44Speaker 7: No, I can see if you're saying, uh, the first pitch,
- 58:48Speaker 7: you're gonna hit the guy with the ball. I know
- 58:50Speaker 7: that I'm gonna bet on that. Now, then I can
- 58:52Speaker 7: see when you have a anger, anger thing, outrage. But
- 58:56Speaker 7: come on, man, prop betting is and that's what we've
- 58:59Speaker 7: been talking about with the sporting thing, especially.
- 59:02Speaker 8: When when when we find out that five thousand people
- 59:08Speaker 8: on that first piece. What does probability is that in
- 59:15Speaker 8: some sort of way part of the prop bet is
- 59:18Speaker 8: they betting on the statistical probability or something, And what
- 59:22Speaker 8: are the probabilities in sports?
- 59:24Speaker 1: They're endless? Come on, team, Come on guys and look
- 59:29Speaker 1: at me. Man, what I what?
- 59:30Speaker 4: I what?
- 59:31Speaker 1: I intentionally pad in my pockets by throwing the ball?
- 59:34Speaker 21: Guys, Nah, not me, not me, No, man, No, I
- 59:41Speaker 21: struck out the next I struck out the next seven dudes.
- 59:44Speaker 7: I'm telling you I'm just I'm telling them that even
- 59:49Speaker 7: the fair athlete, once you prove to him that what
- 59:54Speaker 7: you're asking him to do has nothing to do with
- 59:58Speaker 7: changing the outcome of the success, he will walk that line.
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: Them starts becoming how much am I going to get
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: paid to do it? I don't make offers. I make
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: business propositions. That's what Jared Lloyd says, means proposition. So
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: to talk about truth in advertising, that's just coming from
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: an athlete. Most athletes, they're not going to throw a
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: game for you in this era. But if you need
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: me to drop a ball in the in the second quarter,
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: just one already looked at the same just one.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: But I.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: We up seventeen, said, I guess the next ten, and
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: we up seventeen points. I'm dropping to just to be
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: sure I get you.
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: Still messing with the integrity of the game. Yeah, most
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: people's integrity, it's set round my circumstances.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: Most people's integrity is set around winning and losing. You
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: didn't ask me to lose the game, but it's I'm
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: just to have a bad play.
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: It's still looked at the same way, whether like we're
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: gonna win by win or win by seventeen, or I'm
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: gonna drop this one pass in the second quarter.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: It's the same thing.
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: It's no different than if you about to break a
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: record and telling me you're gonna give me half of
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: your bonus.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: You rushing against me.
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: Yeah, mister, hey man, you know on one sack away
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: we're getting that half a million dollars. Yeah, talking about Yeah,
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: he's looking at me, talking about being a gentleman sitting
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: front at the club because.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: You let it happen. It's the same. You know, to
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: come on.
- 1:01:55Speaker 8: About seventy years you're so exacts. Hold up, wait a minute,
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: it's not a cook game.
- 1:02:08Speaker 11: Don't go away, or of the sports Jock Show with
- 1:02:11Speaker 11: Wayne Dambidio's dumming up next.
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance.
- 1:02:17Speaker 12: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:02:20Speaker 12: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:02:24Speaker 12: have life insurance.
- 1:02:25Speaker 22: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:02:27Speaker 22: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:02:29Speaker 22: forever life insurance.
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: Well, what's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:02:35Speaker 22: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:02:37Speaker 22: bills piling up. I was worried how my family will
- 1:02:39Speaker 22: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:02:41Speaker 22: the insurance informant.
- 1:02:42Speaker 12: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:02:47Speaker 22: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:02:50Speaker 22: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:02:52Speaker 12: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:02:54Speaker 12: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:02:56Speaker 12: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:02:59Speaker 12: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:03:02Speaker 12: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:03:07Speaker 12: Log on today benefits or bills?
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Dot Com?
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: That's benefits or bills dot Com?
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: No, no, I don't.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: Why shall share your sup and we hold the world
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: ransom for dy excuse me while I will this out.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Broadcasting live and it led her to a chau this
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: this is the Sports Shot Show with Wayne Dandy.
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: You may Vegan William shot down dot Com to come to.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Monk.
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: Is it just go?
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: I'm a doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way, Bill.
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: Vegan, welcome back to the Swatshop show. I'm Sports Shock
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: Quinn Candy. Good morning to you out there and listening.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Land.
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: I hope you had a good weekend. Two weeks in
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: the books for the preseason. We are rolling up until
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: the last preseason game. All of you relax. This one,
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: I know is a lot of overreaction in sports now.
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: People are gassed about anything, any play. I don't know
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: if it's just desperation. I want to believe in that
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: one play is going to signify that your team is
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: going to the super Bowl this year. But you know
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: it's just one play, one drive. I don't understand it.
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: It's not even the guys, it's just it's a game.
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: But Tayler Williams driving the ball down. He was the
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: first pick of the draft. Him taking a ball driving
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: his team to a touchdown in a preseason game sounds
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: about right.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you that's the most competent
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: the Bears are. Just look way back. That's the down
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: in my entire life. Go Bears, Dumb Bears. Dumb Bears.
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: I think I'm having a heart attack watching the Bear.
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: It's just a drive, the same thing. I tell you,
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: it was a drive, and that's every Sanders. It was
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: just it was a game can start.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Every It's gonna be like that every game, really quick
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: to start.
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: So when the other level starters on defense come out,
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: it's gonna be the same thing.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: We ain't talking about them. We saw that. We saw
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: really really quick sports. I have to get this out
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: of the way.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: In the close of our last hour, one of our
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: little listeners heard us talking about the prop back and
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: elder case Lamar Hugh we Sr. Wants to know if
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: someone want to give you one hundred thousand dollars for
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: getting hold and call in the.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Third quarter, would you do it? What level of sport?
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: And my NFL NFL third quarter holding call gonna set
- 1:06:03Speaker 8: you back?
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: What is holding ten yards? No other nuances. I don't
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: ain't up. I don't know about you being up.
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: I don't know about you being down, just as it
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: doesn't matter when I do it, uh, just in the
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: third quarter, any time in the third anytime It to
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: my discretion, up to your discretion.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: One hundred thousand.
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: Yes, And Uncle Charlie said he will say no with
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: question mark and he'd have been disappointed had you said no.
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: You come to the Johnson family cookout. Now the fact
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: that you're to took that one hundred thousand dollars, we
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: are going to We'll prepare you some peg. No.
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: That's when I'm on here. Y'all know I'm this is
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: who I am. These are my thoughts, and this is
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: how I function. That's why I'm trying to tell you.
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: Once you remove the label yes of me doing something
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: to lose the game at your all I have to
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: do is get one holding call because what that person
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: is asking me, I get to implement in a situation
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: that is safer. So if the score is seventeen seventeen
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: and we are just starting the first drive in the
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: second quarter the second half, I can roll the dice
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: because we're still in the game. Now, if you're asking me,
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: I got to do it with two minutes to go
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: in the game and y'all on some game winning drive.
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: See now you're affecting the game right right right, and
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: you've taken the control of me being able to evaluate
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: how this is going to hurt my team? Does that
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: make sense? And that's and that's what I'm saying. When
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: you're giving it to me, when you're giving it to
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: me where there's nothing actually there's nothing a pit.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: That's why I said.
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: You just asked me to throw the first pitch as
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: a ball, and then I can strake him out for
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: the rest.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: So you ain't ask me to walk him, No, ask
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I can throw he it's smoking.
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: I understand the nuance. But the people who are who
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: have issues with these kinds of things, it's it's all wrong.
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: Like Pete Rose always better than his team to win,
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: but so he's making decisions to game.
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: But I'm not telling you this is not wrong or right.
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: I'm telling you what you Pandora's box you opened up,
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: possibly telling you why Ohio is saying we might just
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: need to keep gambling to wins and losses. It's hard
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: to get some influence somebody to win or lose a game.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: That's illegal.
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: Throwing the game is something I won't ever be able
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: to push away from my memory. And it's also illegal
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: that I threw the game against a certain team. Right,
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: there's penalty for throwing. You asking me to have a
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: bad play, Come on, man, in a time that there's
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: nothing on the line for a hundred g's And that's
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: what the Ohio people are, those that big gambling. They're
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: looking at the totality that if you let people bet
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: on anything, if you let this man, we found out
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: what the tempa guy. If you just gonna let people
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: bet on anything, what stops them from enacting.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: And implementing that theme.
- 1:09:32Speaker 7: I'm quite sure that's what Michael Porter is saying with
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: his brother. His brother was in there explaining, Remember Mike,
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: the one with all the money. So now I'm throughout
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: the NBA. Hey Mike, hey man, Remember boy, I used
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: to protect you. I wouldn't let nobody hit on you.
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: Remember all them days, man, when I wouldn't let nobody
- 1:09:50Speaker 7: hit Mike and Mama would be at work and I'll
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: cook it something to eat. Oh, he's playing all them
- 1:09:57Speaker 7: violence streams to his big brother, his little brother. Come on, man,
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: just let me. I'm just talking about the guest house, Mike.
- 1:10:03Speaker 7: I ain't need to talking about the main house.
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: One, the one, the one in the city you used
- 1:10:09Speaker 8: to play for that. I just want to stay there.
- 1:10:13Speaker 8: And he had to explain, and Mike probably was like,
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: go ahead, on John Tay.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: What happened? Hey man?
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: They just told me as long as I didn't get
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: sixteen points. So when I got fifteen, I started acting
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: like my hamstring was hurt.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Come on, man into the locker room. Went on the
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: locker room. His issue is he did it like four
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: games in a row.
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: Oh, but.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: It's a hamstring injury.
- 1:10:40Speaker 8: Tween you know, they find me sometimes they wouldn't the
- 1:10:43Speaker 8: same injury, but.
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: I would, actually, I would actually one hundred. I'm saying
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: as a person who feels like I would fight it.
- 1:10:54Speaker 8: But the more simpler you bring it to me that
- 1:10:56Speaker 8: nothing is going to happen wrong or negative to the
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: outcome of the game. Even a person that I feel
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: like I'm based on, I don't like to have I
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: like to have integrity.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: You're still making it harrd for a person. And even
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: even with the most the most moral, upstanding person.
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: You can say that you ever made a hundred g's
- 1:11:20Speaker 8: and one drop past, you ever made one hundred g's
- 1:11:24Speaker 8: and one missed block.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: All I gotta do is throw a pall, just one ball.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: If it were like.
- 1:11:32Speaker 8: A few, a handful of people, five or less people
- 1:11:36Speaker 8: that put money on that holding call in the third quarter, yeah,
- 1:11:41Speaker 8: maybe not.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: A big deal.
- 1:11:43Speaker 8: But when there are ten thousand people who bet on
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: that man the third quarter, that's for the FBI and
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: them to figure out that ain't got nothing to do
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: with I mean, that's why that's how you cat that
- 1:11:55Speaker 8: ain't got nothing to do with me got caught up.
- 1:11:57Speaker 9: Hundred thousand people bet on him getting yeah, sixteen points suspicious.
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: Yeah, but they I think part of that case we
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: have to look up also is that he had somebody
- 1:12:08Speaker 7: place a bet.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: That that that compounds on that and that's illegal. Illegal
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: the first part illegal. No no, no, no, no, no
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: no no no no no.
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: Me missing the block ain't illegal. Me getting a holding
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: penalty in illegal. You as my friend, placed one hundred
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: thousand dollars bet on the fact that in the third
- 1:12:31Speaker 8: quarter I'm missing.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: And ten thousand gotta do some research. That's gambling.
- 1:12:37Speaker 7: Running on the field for the guy in the Super Bowl,
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: the running on the field park was illegal. They're going
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: to have to prove that he because he bet that
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: somebody would run on the field. That is that great area.
- 1:12:56Speaker 8: So you mean to tell me when I when I
- 1:12:58Speaker 8: hit the lottery, all of of a sudden, we got
- 1:13:00Speaker 8: to do an investigation because I played the winning number.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Come on, bruh, that's the game. I don't and that's
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: why I was fifty billion people played I won.
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: I didn't have a problem with how sports was dealing
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: with gambling. I thought it kept a lot of these
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: little things out. And when you opened it to the
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: prop bet, you open it to always having to question
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: because money can now be made without ever asking a person.
- 1:13:30Speaker 7: So why would me and Big Kenny, if we're doing this,
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: why would we ever approach a kid to throw a game?
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: It's drunk betting.
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: It's like I give you, I bet you twenty five
- 1:13:41Speaker 8: dollars you can't throw these chicken wings into that cup,
- 1:13:45Speaker 8: and then you do.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: It at nine to one fifty bucks and now I
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: can come.
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: To you and go, bruh, you bet on the kick?
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: Did I bet he kick it out of bounds? And
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: he kicked it off? What are he causing the team?
- 1:13:57Speaker 7: Five yards? So still starting the thirty at the thirty five,
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: But he got to take home two hundred.
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: G tonight tonight, not No. Two hundred jes per season,
- 1:14:08Speaker 8: two hundred gees. By the time, by the time I
- 1:14:11Speaker 8: pull up in my driveway.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: My money, you're already ware.
- 1:14:13Speaker 7: You want to believe athletes who already stand on the
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: edge of the cliff of being compulsive gamblers. The sport
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: itself is full of people who fashion them is all
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: they raised with the mentality I bet you can't beat
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: me to the fence. Everything is I bet, and my
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: all are standing on and my capital is my performance.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: So this is natural to me. You just asking me
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: to dial it back a little bit, man, So I
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: think a lot of states need to follow. Ohio.
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: The prop bet I was always when y'all first told
- 1:14:55Speaker 7: me about it was always something I was. I don't
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: think it's be in it. I think you should be
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: able to bet whether a team win or lose.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: And until y'all got greedy with the prop bet, I
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: thought that's the best at fantasy football ushered in all this.
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: Yeah, well, I can get the quarterback from the Lions
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: and the defense from the Bears, and I bet you
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: running Running Brown have more yards than Cadillac Williams. And
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: it was the smoothest tussle gone for a while. We'll
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: be back going to Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 1:15:36Speaker 8: With his dog.

- 1:18:01Speaker 7: Welcome back to the Sworshock Show. I'm the spot Shock
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: Wayne Canny. Couple of birthdays here yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: Robert de Naro is eighty two years of age. Austin
- 1:18:12Speaker 7: Butler a great young actor thirty four, Sean Penn sixty five,
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: Donny Wallberg fifty six, Christen's leightoner one of the great
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: college basketball players of our time. Fifty six right, Antoine
- 1:18:26Speaker 7: Randall l former teammate of mine with the Steelers, now
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: the receiver coach for the Lions. Last time I checked,
- 1:18:34Speaker 7: I want to say last year, might still be there.
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: I don't know if Aaron Glenn took him to the Jets,
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: but into one Randall al former college quarterback receiver in
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: the NFL. Ed McCaffrey is fifty seven. Yeah, that's Christian
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: McCaffrey's a father. I wonder if Christian is going to get.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Randalla is with the Bears, the receivers coach of the
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Bear so he went with Ben Johnson.
- 1:19:00Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, I was wondering if he went with one
- 1:19:02Speaker 7: of the assistants for more money, more stability, and that
- 1:19:06Speaker 7: probably put him in line to be a coordinator. Sometimes
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: that's what they offer too, if you follow me. That's
- 1:19:14Speaker 7: the biggest thing people never talk about. When coach leaves
- 1:19:20Speaker 7: a lot of coaches based on the side of their ball,
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: those are their coaches. So you're the head coach and
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: then you go get a coordinator, but four or five
- 1:19:28Speaker 7: of those guys on the defense on his staff in
- 1:19:32Speaker 7: a sense that when he gets ahead job. They'll be
- 1:19:36Speaker 7: the coordinator. So you take a lot of people with
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: you unless you contractually as an owner. I think that's
- 1:19:43Speaker 7: why Jerry Jones does it the way he does. He

- 1:32:52Speaker 7: like that for how certain opinions you, Get, well you
- 1:32:59Speaker 7: start calling people arms and what they should have done

- 1:33:17Speaker 7: is right with twelve seconds to.
- 1:33:19Speaker 8: Go, Yeah i'm, saying now if you you trying to pull.
- 1:33:22Speaker 8: Up and, then BECAUSE i remember the, time it was,
- 1:33:24Speaker 8: mean it was, magic it was big Game, james and
- 1:33:28Speaker 8: Then magic kicked it in the big game And Big
- 1:33:31Speaker 8: game looked at.

- 1:34:10Speaker 8: was LIKE Bk AND i was, like, nah, Nah twin
- 1:34:12Speaker 8: is you and man.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: And you know? Okay and you sure was magic And Big.
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: Game this was it was magic And Big, Game me
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: and the bad. Producer i'm, Saying i'm saying there was
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: one of. Them there's one of them on.
- 1:34:31Speaker 7: The, outside someone like A denzel, who in our consciousness
- 1:34:36Speaker 7: is a guy that really uh is, professional shown himself,
- 1:34:41Speaker 7: professional his in his world and how he goes about his,
- 1:34:45Speaker 7: business and.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: You feel like a lot of times when people like
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: him do.
- 1:34:52Speaker 7: Have something to, say like, this they're being, objective, yes,
- 1:34:58Speaker 7: right and that what you the feel is not so
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: much of it right or wrong as much as you
- 1:35:03Speaker 7: feel like it's an objective. View, yes a lot of
- 1:35:06Speaker 7: people make a lot of money calling themselves doctor this
- 1:35:09Speaker 7: and doctor that every day they're seeing people right now
- 1:35:13Speaker 7: because in that profession of, psychiatrists a, psychologists you're supposed
- 1:35:17Speaker 7: to be. Objective, yes, yes SO i think that's where
- 1:35:21Speaker 7: you have to hold an ear. Open where he's, saying
- 1:35:25Speaker 7: opinion theres how far do you get to weigh in.
- 1:35:31Speaker 8: On what you?
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: Think what you?
- 1:35:33Speaker 8: Think how valued should your opinion? Be because NOW i
- 1:35:38Speaker 8: remember the first time THAT i ever heard something From STEPHEN. A.
- 1:35:42Speaker 8: Smith my son introduced me to a. Phrase he, says
- 1:35:46Speaker 8: it hit my ears. Wrong first Time stephen ever said
- 1:35:50Speaker 8: something that hit my ears wrong is when he was
- 1:35:52Speaker 8: having a. DEBATE i think it might have been With
- 1:35:54Speaker 8: Kevin durant or, somebody and he says to, them you
- 1:35:57Speaker 8: don't want to make an enemy out of, me trust. Me,
- 1:36:02Speaker 8: yeah of all the people that you could have issue
- 1:36:05Speaker 8: with and professional, sports you do not want trust. Me
- 1:36:13Speaker 8: AND i was, like he sounded like he was gonna
- 1:36:15Speaker 8: roll up in the locker room AND i was, like
- 1:36:17Speaker 8: IF i WAS, Kd i'd be on high, alert Right
- 1:36:20Speaker 8: and THEN i, thought, Hey steven ate Like, dove is
- 1:36:24Speaker 8: he even able to go into the locker?
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Room you know What i'm. Saying this dude talk like
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: he can call the owner of the team and be
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: like fire him. Now AND i was, like that's that's
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: talk right.
- 1:36:35Speaker 8: Now and he said it with such authority that people
- 1:36:38Speaker 8: who don't know the difference take it as an. Authority
- 1:36:41Speaker 8: and and and sometimes he takes liberties with what he.
- 1:36:45Speaker 8: Thinks there's no basis for the first person point of.
- 1:36:50Speaker 7: View And i've said a lot of time commands you
- 1:36:53Speaker 7: just from the standpoint of how people with their, opinions
- 1:36:59Speaker 7: whether you're in the, barbershop and it's, like you, KNOW
- 1:37:03Speaker 7: i have to keep my mouth shut a lot of
- 1:37:05Speaker 7: times because they'll say something so. OUTRAGEOUS i THINK i
- 1:37:07Speaker 7: told you all THAT i was in the barbershop and
- 1:37:10Speaker 7: the guys for debating which one of them could Guard JEFF. T,
- 1:37:14Speaker 7: Yeah AND i was sitting there, thinking none of, you
- 1:37:18Speaker 7: none of, you none of Guard JEFF.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: T why would you be in their cutting hair right?
- 1:37:22Speaker 8: Now you would be you'd at least be on the
- 1:37:25Speaker 8: practice but, see this is the thing we have given opinions. Authority,
- 1:37:33Speaker 8: now who's wrong the athlete who can get a thousand
- 1:37:35Speaker 8: for just missing the? Layup one hundred thousand a night
- 1:37:38Speaker 8: missing the? Layup or are you telling me you could
- 1:37:41Speaker 8: pay me one hundred thousand this week for SAYING i
- 1:37:43Speaker 8: think commands, You, greg it's horrible on the, boards.
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: And, you in your real life make.
- 1:37:51Speaker 8: Fries that's. It you don't even fry. Them you just
- 1:37:55Speaker 8: put them in the cutter and pulled the potato lever.
- 1:37:57Speaker 8: Down and now you're saying like this dude Is but people,
- 1:38:00Speaker 8: go oh, man that dude is so, entertaining and he's
- 1:38:04Speaker 8: so and they give you that license with their.
- 1:38:07Speaker 7: Views and he kind of walks around with the arrogance
- 1:38:11Speaker 7: of as though he's PLAYED i THINK i guess that's
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: what really makes me laugh because he made this last
- 1:38:18Speaker 7: statement he was talking about, him and he. Doesn't he
- 1:38:21Speaker 7: never has to speak To Lebron james. Again they're still
- 1:38:25Speaker 7: not on good. Terms as if that was his idea
- 1:38:28Speaker 7: like the.
- 1:38:29Speaker 8: White, NOW i never knew he And lebron. Were remember
- 1:38:33Speaker 8: When lebron came up to, Him oh, yeah talking about his.
- 1:38:36Speaker 7: Son and that's the thing like that was his whole he.
- 1:38:40Speaker 7: Had he's come up to the conclusion that him And
- 1:38:43Speaker 7: LEBRON i got seven. Rings lebron got to get up
- 1:38:45Speaker 7: to Where i'm. At But DENZEL i totally, Agree And
- 1:38:51Speaker 7: i've said it several. Times for some, reason especially with,
- 1:38:55Speaker 7: sports people have dumbed it down to that they can
- 1:39:00Speaker 7: do it and they don't have to have the actual
- 1:39:05Speaker 7: infrastructure of playing or Being like when you look at Stephen,
- 1:39:12Speaker 7: a you you were not even A, Gm.
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: SO i can take you going to get.
- 1:39:17Speaker 7: A guy that was A, gm a gear, man couldn't
- 1:39:20Speaker 7: even making him at least he was A gm to
- 1:39:22Speaker 7: tell me what's going on as far as building a.
- 1:39:25Speaker 8: Team he wasn't even equipment. Man he wasn't Even, yeah
- 1:39:28Speaker 8: he has no position THAT i know of that was.
- 1:39:30Speaker 8: Ever has he ever architect of a? Team has he
- 1:39:33Speaker 8: ever covered a team as a beat? Writer start?
- 1:39:37Speaker 9: Everything he covered The, sixers like WHEN i When iverson got,
- 1:39:42Speaker 9: there that's when he. Started BUT i just said that they're.
- 1:39:48Speaker 9: Not they also won't put themselves in a position where
- 1:39:51Speaker 9: there would be could be proven wrong in any. Way
- 1:39:54Speaker 9: like a while, Ago Brian, scalabrini who played for The.
- 1:39:58Speaker 9: Celtics he was on THAT O jv. TEAM a lot
- 1:40:00Speaker 9: of people are talking about like how he's a terrible
- 1:40:02Speaker 9: player AND i could beat. Him and he actually had
- 1:40:05Speaker 9: a tournament with guys who said they could beat. Him
- 1:40:10Speaker 9: played one on. One he played like five. GAMES i
- 1:40:14Speaker 9: think a total of four points were scored against him
- 1:40:18Speaker 9: against five. People so like you get prove like no
- 1:40:22Speaker 9: one even knowing is even going to put themselves in
- 1:40:24Speaker 9: that kind of position where, Like, okay you say you
- 1:40:27Speaker 9: better than, me you can come show it and you
- 1:40:29Speaker 9: know you. Can't well everyone else you can see that's well.
- 1:40:34Speaker 8: That is you know how they say diplomatically politically they
- 1:40:37Speaker 8: don't negotiate with. Terrorists what Would lebron look like Playing
- 1:40:40Speaker 8: STEVEN A. Smith i'm saying that would only validate A
- 1:40:43Speaker 8: STEVEN A. Smith it would help him more than it
- 1:40:46Speaker 8: would Help. Lebron SO i think a lot of those
- 1:40:48Speaker 8: guys are.
- 1:40:49Speaker 7: Like, man, gone you just, Talking, well, yeah he could
- 1:40:52Speaker 7: Only lebron could only hurt. Himself, yeah because at some
- 1:40:56Speaker 7: point people will feel like he shouldn't have done that to?
- 1:40:59Speaker 7: Him why does he keep dropping his shoulder on? Him
- 1:41:04Speaker 7: likes plays like. THAT i feel like he Could steve
- 1:41:06Speaker 7: when they wanted to.
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: Play but to do that you located you know that
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: man just to report. It want to spot show right
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: after this.
- 1:41:19Speaker 6: They thought did, it but it didn't come?

- 1:44:04Speaker 7: Candy we were talking about the Great Denzel washington having some,
- 1:44:09Speaker 7: opinions as he, said with the advent of social, media
- 1:44:13Speaker 7: everybody is an opinion. There even people love to give
- 1:44:17Speaker 7: opinions about things they have never even. Done and we were,
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: saying in the world of, sports when opinions become what
- 1:44:25Speaker 7: people speak in a way of fact is the part
- 1:44:29Speaker 7: of THE i think WHERE i call it athletes versus the.
- 1:44:34Speaker 7: Media when you start saying things and predicting things of
- 1:44:39Speaker 7: where you've never been trying to put a face on,
- 1:44:42Speaker 7: it AND i know you're making money and it's more
- 1:44:45Speaker 7: on the entertainment, side but you it's Like Kevin. Durant
- 1:44:50Speaker 7: most guys feel just Like Kevin durant with someone Like
- 1:44:53Speaker 7: steven A spill or A Skip bayless where you're saying
- 1:44:57Speaker 7: things and giving observations about HOW i shouldn't have gave
- 1:45:02Speaker 7: the ball, Up why would you know WHEN i should
- 1:45:06Speaker 7: have gave.
- 1:45:06Speaker 8: IF i were his, teammates my level of, disappointment and
- 1:45:11Speaker 8: how he let us down last night with his lackluster
- 1:45:15Speaker 8: play and his lack of, focus.
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: What us like us like you've ever ever been called
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: upon to do any of that.
- 1:45:29Speaker 8: Stuff and NOW i think that's part of the opinion,
- 1:45:35Speaker 8: process is that people start to come up with tears
- 1:45:39Speaker 8: of their. Opinion oh, man you're too much of a
- 1:45:44Speaker 8: professional to have dropped that. Pass oh but you don't
- 1:45:50Speaker 8: know at any level what they're dealing.
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: With so to be the sixth, man to be the twelfth.
- 1:45:55Speaker 7: Man read The monday morning, quarterback as they say Every monday,
- 1:45:59Speaker 7: morning don't mean what we always we always see the
- 1:46:03Speaker 7: open man from the recliner in front of the seventy
- 1:46:06Speaker 7: two Inch.
- 1:46:07Speaker 8: You know WHAT i.
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: Mean it's easy that dude.
- 1:46:12Speaker 8: To side for. You i'm, Watching i'm watching from the that.
- 1:46:15Speaker 8: Man let that dude down there waving is on.
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: Because that was, YEAH i knew that you didn't AND
- 1:46:22Speaker 7: i didn't throw it to him BECAUSE i knew he was.
- 1:46:23Speaker 8: Open he was he was, open and it didn't matter
- 1:46:26Speaker 8: that this other six' nine guy was swiping, at, Me,
- 1:46:30Speaker 8: saying yo mama gonna.
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: Feel THIS all i could think, about was that's unfair to.
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: My mom you KNOW what?
- 1:46:35Speaker 13: I mean.
- 1:46:36Speaker 7: SO Uh espn films has or Had Commissioned spike lee
- 1:46:42Speaker 7: to create an eight part documentary REGARDING former Nfl Quarterback.
- 1:46:47Speaker 7: Colin kaepernick, the, series however will not. BE Released Espn
- 1:46:54Speaker 7: Colin Kaepernick spike lee have collectively decided to no longer
- 1:46:58Speaker 7: proceed with this project as a result of certain. Creative
- 1:47:02Speaker 7: DIFFERENCES when i first from the from that, FIRST part
- 1:47:07Speaker 7: i thought the differences Were Between spike COLIN. Versus ESPN
- 1:47:14Speaker 7: as i, kept reading it's Between Between.
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: Spike Lee And. Colin kaepernick now now is it? Too black?
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: Too strong is one of them was trying to go?
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: Too black hold on now and? Too? Strong maybe wait now?
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: Right Now. SPORTS jack i we rarely touch stuff that's.
- 1:47:37Speaker 8: JUST oversaturated i was thinking this would be one of
- 1:47:40Speaker 8: those let, It breathe BUT when i heard that it
- 1:47:45Speaker 8: Was between Colin, And, spike no we can't let. That
- 1:47:49Speaker 8: breathe we're gonna Have to we're gonna have to let
- 1:47:51Speaker 8: some of these words. Get choked out because This Is
- 1:47:54Speaker 8: spike lee do the, Right Thing spike lee and cool
- 1:47:58Speaker 8: the Can't They?
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: Collie kaepernick now remember when he on his shirt on
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: the shirt on? The, shirt yeah coo tak take on
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: his shirt or was It? Just kuto? It was you
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: want to put it. Either, way so so you mean
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: that We GOT.
- 1:48:24Speaker 8: Malcolm X And nat turner in the car together and
- 1:48:31Speaker 8: esp and the, one, like man let's, do this and
- 1:48:35Speaker 8: there on some nab bro like who was the, too black?
- 1:48:39Speaker 8: Too strong who wasn't? Black enough who who thought that's
- 1:48:43Speaker 8: a little too heavy For?
- 1:48:44Speaker 7: Him spike and That's that and that's the same Question
- 1:48:47Speaker 7: Manswer BIG kenny, i had like if it's Them two
- 1:48:50Speaker 7: and THAT'S why i made. That statement is it that
- 1:48:52Speaker 7: you're trying to take it and make?
- 1:48:56Speaker 4: It some it?
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: What some?
- 1:48:57Speaker 7: It wasn't you're trying to eight part That's pretty that's
- 1:49:01Speaker 7: what usually episode is what forty FIVE, Minutes espn so
- 1:49:06Speaker 7: it probably was they're going to send it to you
- 1:49:08Speaker 7: in that kind of format forty five to fifty minutes.
- 1:49:11Speaker 7: Per EPISODE and i was trying to. FIGURE out i
- 1:49:13Speaker 7: wonder who was trying to take it? Too far they
- 1:49:16Speaker 7: wanted to do a whole episode on just the. Death
- 1:49:19Speaker 7: threats he was getting.
- 1:49:21Speaker 8: Death Threats, malcolm no The Minister fara khan came to
- 1:49:25Speaker 8: him and wanted to recruit him until the nation.
- 1:49:27Speaker 7: Is deleted, you know is there anything you can think
- 1:49:30Speaker 7: of you where they wanted to go that they? PROBABLY disagreed.
- 1:49:34Speaker 7: I was i tried to think about what element did
- 1:49:41Speaker 7: they get TO where i don't want to go there?
- 1:49:44Speaker 8: Now, now also would, you, imagine uh maybe that's why
- 1:49:50Speaker 8: instead of some of the other nuances they Said That
- 1:49:52Speaker 8: colin kaepernick didn't get back INTO the nfl because if
- 1:49:55Speaker 8: you can't get along With A spike lee on some display,
- 1:50:01Speaker 8: Your story we're not talking about a. Fictional account we're
- 1:50:05Speaker 8: Talking about i'm dealing with the man that, lived it
- 1:50:08Speaker 8: and we can't agree on. What happened we can't agree
- 1:50:11Speaker 8: on how this it's it's real.
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: Life.
- 1:50:14Speaker 7: ACCOUNTS yeah i figured it had to do Where maybe
- 1:50:17Speaker 7: spike got on board viewing it one way and as
- 1:50:22Speaker 7: he was doing his research he might have found out
- 1:50:25Speaker 7: something because they always always tell, people that, you know
- 1:50:30Speaker 7: they sold the story as though there were no. More
- 1:50:33Speaker 7: opportunities but there were a couple of teams that was
- 1:50:38Speaker 7: asking him to come. Try out they wanted to make
- 1:50:42Speaker 7: it back up quarterback just cut the hair And the
- 1:50:46Speaker 7: seahawks they couldn't, get him and they went And.
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: Got geno.
- 1:50:51Speaker 4: G.
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: Is glad gino. Is glad geno never seen fight the.
- 1:50:56Speaker 8: Power again, Gino like i'm so glad, you dude for
- 1:51:00Speaker 8: what was right because they got me right back IN.
- 1:51:03Speaker 8: THE nfl i don't know if it's How much casey
- 1:51:06Speaker 8: said he wanted to, play himself that's what.
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: It was. He can't he wanted to be. A sess it's. A,
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: documentary yeah he would have been.
- 1:51:13Speaker 6: In.
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: It, yeah sure they had interviewed some of the re,
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: enact me and That's what.
- 1:51:18Speaker 7: I'm saying it could have Been something spike wanted to
- 1:51:20Speaker 7: show the whole thing where your parents that raise you
- 1:51:24Speaker 7: were white, and black his, adopted, parents like and you
- 1:51:28Speaker 7: didn't want it because you want to come off fully.
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: One way, you know some people don't like that to
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: be in.
- 1:51:34Speaker 7: The storyline they want you you don't look, black enough
- 1:51:37Speaker 7: so that weakens you're, black enough you, know how you
- 1:51:40Speaker 7: know struggle that kind. Of STOFF so i wonder what.
- 1:51:44Speaker 7: It was hopefully maybe, one day but right now this
- 1:51:46Speaker 7: has been. Shut DOWN and. I mane you have To

- 1:57:47Speaker 7: see a. Little more how. THIS case i Know That,
- 1:57:50Speaker 7: brian floores who used to be the head coach Of,
- 1:57:52Speaker 7: the dolphins been With the steelers since And. The vikings
- 1:57:56Speaker 7: he is the defense coordinator now With. The vikings he

- 1:58:17Speaker 7: the people that you're actually working for when you're at.
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: The job how do you? Prove that how does the

- 1:58:59Speaker 7: from the Time My inner league in nineteen ninety four,
- 1:59:01Speaker 7: UNTIL now i see a completely different landscape on. THE
- 1:59:04Speaker 7: sideline i look at coaching and coaching hiry and, a
- 1:59:10Speaker 7: TOTALITY meaning i don't just weigh the amount of black.
- 1:59:15Speaker 7: HEAD coaches i weigh the significant amount of blacks on
- 1:59:21Speaker 7: the sideline and the, front office all those things. Have changed,
- 1:59:27Speaker 7: you know it's no longer twenty. Years ago it's a
- 1:59:33Speaker 7: diverse just like we're talking about what. The cheerleaders. It's
- 1:59:35Speaker 7: diverse it's a thing of people putting people in place to.
- 1:59:40Speaker 7: Make money you got women about one day away from
- 1:59:44Speaker 7: actually being full time, real assistant not just the assistant to.
- 1:59:48Speaker 7: The assistant you got, women owners you got women. Front
- 1:59:52Speaker 7: office we've started talking about, women gms all. The improvement
- 1:59:58Speaker 7: so the same thing with. Black coaches you can get
- 2:00:02Speaker 7: lost in and have this idea that there's not enough
- 2:00:07Speaker 7: annually black, head coaches but then your turn on, the
- 2:00:11Speaker 7: game Like. THE bucks i don't Know That todd bowles
- 2:00:14Speaker 7: has anything.
- 2:00:15Speaker 8: But, black coaches like the, Whole staff like we got staffs,
- 2:00:20Speaker 8: of yeah and there's thirty two, teams, right yeah and
- 2:00:25Speaker 8: a lot. Of them i've NEVER coached, nfl team but
- 2:00:29Speaker 8: the being kind of jobs people kind of want to
- 2:00:31Speaker 8: hold on to if it's going. Good people it ain't
- 2:00:34Speaker 8: a lot of turnover with me just, quitting, LIKE man
- 2:00:37Speaker 8: i don't want to do.
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: This anymore.
- 2:00:39Speaker 8: That's rare SO if i got the job and nobody,
- 2:00:41Speaker 8: Fires me i'm trying to hold on to. My job
- 2:00:44Speaker 8: how Long Has mike tomlin Been. In pittsburgh this will
- 2:00:48Speaker 8: be his, Nineteenth year so right now it's only really

- 2:01:12Speaker 7: BEEN around i don't know if it was just he
- 2:01:15Speaker 7: didn't like the Way the dolphins let him go or
- 2:01:18Speaker 7: how it worked out. WITH him i just was sitting
- 2:01:21Speaker 7: THERE when i, saw IT and i, was, thinking well
- 2:01:23Speaker 7: it's going to be hard to prove when you just
- 2:01:26Speaker 7: have the, head coach but they, hire you or Are
- 2:01:30Speaker 7: you how do you just for one particular because it
- 2:01:33Speaker 7: is not, the military it's not one of, those things.

- 2:01:42Speaker 1: to move me up to that kind.
- 2:01:43Speaker 8: Of, thing YEAH if i without any write ups and all,
- 2:01:47Speaker 8: of that in, THIS time i should be here and
- 2:01:50Speaker 8: you got to prove Cause why. I'm not this is
- 2:01:53Speaker 8: just based ON whether i like you and do you
- 2:01:57Speaker 8: have a resume TO say i should hire you half,
- 2:02:01Speaker 8: the time especially with switching, WITH coaches a lot, Of,
