- 0:01Speaker 1: The hold Aking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodach White Stripes.
- 0:07Speaker 2: There on the Hadarky Big Show this Monday evening. The
- 0:11Speaker 2: time is fine fifty three.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Foul's a lot of texts coming in on three four
- 0:15Speaker 3: eight three asking why Moggi sounds terrible?
- 0:18Speaker 4: Moggi, your voice is a bit weird today. What's to
- 0:21Speaker 4: deal with that?
- 0:22Speaker 5: Well, I've got a medical condition, Keezy right. Some would
- 0:27Speaker 5: say it's been a backburn, That's one of the things. Sure.
- 0:31Speaker 5: But the other thing that I've got going on, as
- 0:33Speaker 5: you know, is I've been suffering for probably four years
- 0:35Speaker 5: now with a pretty severe and throat issue. I got
- 0:40Speaker 5: sinusitis probably four years ago, and then that's just gotten
- 0:44Speaker 5: worse and worse every year. I've sort of been on
- 0:46Speaker 5: three or four rounds of antibious every single year. I've
- 0:48Speaker 5: been on medications, I've been on nasal sprays, all sorts
- 0:51Speaker 5: of different things, haven't I. Yes, So I've sort of
- 0:53Speaker 5: been sick every year for six months of the year.
- 0:55Speaker 5: This year has been better.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Yeah, You've been really good.
- 0:57Speaker 5: I haven't been as bad as other years, but I've
- 1:00Speaker 5: had an appointment with an ear nose and throat specialist.
- 1:04Speaker 5: I want to get in there and see a specialist Keysy,
- 1:07Speaker 5: and I'm still waiting for that appointment. Four months. Wow,
- 1:10Speaker 5: it only takes four months to get in there. So
- 1:12Speaker 5: that's everything's weak and sweet.
- 1:14Speaker 4: When everything's going to be taken to do again.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Probably yeah, that's right to be brand new by then,
- 1:18Speaker 5: but at this right maybe not so. Anyway, over the weekend,
- 1:20Speaker 5: I had a bit of a bit blocked up trying
- 1:23Speaker 5: to go to sleep, and so I just thought to myself,
- 1:25Speaker 5: I'll get on this Otrovan spray. Now. I swear by
- 1:27Speaker 5: this stuff. You put one couple of sprays up your
- 1:29Speaker 5: honker there and it completely clears your sinuses out, no
- 1:33Speaker 5: matter how stuff up there.
- 1:34Speaker 4: It's amazing.
- 1:34Speaker 5: It is absolutely incredible.
- 1:36Speaker 4: It's a revelation when you discover it. It's a steroid.
- 1:39Speaker 5: It is a steroid. And what it does is it
- 1:41Speaker 5: contracts of blood vessels in your nasal cavities and your sinuses.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Bloody blood vessels in there with a U two.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Honkers you're running, yeah, and and so constructs that. The
- 2:00Speaker 5: problem with it is when you use it, you get
- 2:02Speaker 5: a bounce back, what they call it bounce back, which
- 2:03Speaker 5: means it will get work. Potentially it'll get worse on
- 2:05Speaker 5: the other side, but generally only if you overuse it,
- 2:07Speaker 5: so you use it for more days than you should.
- 2:09Speaker 5: So that was the first day that I'd used in
- 2:10Speaker 5: a couple of months. But I wake up the next
- 2:12Speaker 5: day and I sound like this, wow, beautiful cough. You
- 2:17Speaker 5: get a post nasal drip they call it keezy, which
- 2:20Speaker 5: is where you get this penus snot dripping down the
- 2:23Speaker 5: back of your throat and it irritates just hang on
- 2:25Speaker 5: a minute, just a snot just down the back of
- 2:28Speaker 5: your throat there and irritates the throat there. So coughing,
- 2:32Speaker 5: you've got the running nose. Then you've got a full
- 2:35Speaker 5: on a headache and full congestion in the sinuses as well.
- 2:38Speaker 5: So it's a horrible bars of a thing, and it recurs. Key.
- 2:40Speaker 5: So what I worked out is it's actually that the
- 2:43Speaker 5: problem is the medicine. Yeah, so I've got to just
- 2:46Speaker 5: backbone my way through anytime I get these congested sinuses
- 2:50Speaker 5: and not take the medicine. Because I take the medicine,
- 2:53Speaker 5: it just ends up making it worse. If you wrap
- 2:55Speaker 5: your head around that.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Is that from a sort of you know, a recent
- 2:58Speaker 3: history of maybe using it too much potentially that.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Yeah, well it makes sense because it's also your your
- 3:06Speaker 5: suitor fit and your cold, your cold medications, they do
- 3:10Speaker 5: the same thing. They contract those blood vessels in your
- 3:13Speaker 5: honker and yeah, it makes it makes it worse.
- 3:16Speaker 2: And I mean you're sucking up a lot of stuff
- 3:19Speaker 2: in there.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Yeah, you know what I mean. It is a huge vacuum.
- 3:24Speaker 6: But it's just what I mean, carry on what I'm
- 3:28Speaker 6: just saying. I mean, there's a lot, there's a lot
- 3:31Speaker 6: going up there. Yea, there's a big amount of the airflow.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Well that's both of you. But yeah, to be honest,
- 3:41Speaker 3: I was I was concerned that you've just been on
- 3:43Speaker 3: the Personal weekend and this was no, no, that just
- 3:46Speaker 3: Friday night.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I got to be at about seven o'clock in the
- 3:48Speaker 5: morning and I was thinking to myself, jeez, my nose
- 3:50Speaker 5: is feeling a bit stuffy.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because I was a bit concerned that maybe you've
- 3:55Speaker 2: got on the darries again.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Yeah, you hadn't done that.
- 3:59Speaker 5: And a half, okay, but I don't think it's related.
- 4:01Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 4:04Speaker 1: The Hiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Is indeed a se DC there on the Hodarchy Big
- 4:11Speaker 2: Show this Tuesday evening.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Now.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Earlier in the show, we were talking about the fact
- 4:16Speaker 2: that all of us on the Big Show suffering some
- 4:18Speaker 2: sort of physical ailment at the moment Mogi's voice and.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Throat is gone.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's gotten worse and worse over the course
- 4:25Speaker 5: of the show. I thought I was on the app today, Yes,
- 4:27Speaker 5: but you know, it turns out doing a show for
- 4:31Speaker 5: three plus hours and running your yap isn't the best
- 4:34Speaker 5: way to get better quick.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Sure.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Plus, you've got a hernia, Jase hopped out.
- 4:39Speaker 5: And it has We've seen it.
- 4:40Speaker 4: It's been painful. My throat's a wee bit weird, but
- 4:43Speaker 4: it's actually come right.
- 4:44Speaker 5: On that note, we should actually we should actually go
- 4:47Speaker 5: about naming your hernia Jase, because it does have it.
- 4:50Speaker 5: It's got a real personality.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Doesn't It's cute?
- 4:53Speaker 5: Well, might get into that tomorrow.
- 4:54Speaker 4: It's gross, it's cute.
- 4:57Speaker 3: But with that, the moment invented a new segment, What's Wrong, Yeah,
- 5:04Speaker 3: that's right, What's wrong with You? New Zealand where you
- 5:06Speaker 3: text in with a whole lot of things that are
- 5:09Speaker 3: wrong or ailing you at the moment we sort of
- 5:11Speaker 3: you know, read them out and then potentially help you
- 5:13Speaker 3: with those issues. Yes, for example this one here, fellers,
- 5:17Speaker 3: get this from Ben Gooday, guys, slight ailment. I have
- 5:21Speaker 3: a troublesome hair follicle right on my underline. It loves
- 5:25Speaker 3: to go deep in the dermis. Every six months or so,
- 5:28Speaker 3: she flares up into a full blown cyst.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Oh nice. You don't know about cists, Jase.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Didn't They used to call you mister cyst they did.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Yeah, they used to call you sisty boy.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Yes, yes, sisty boy, mister cist.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Sister.
- 5:45Speaker 2: That's why I'm totally nude in that area.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Now, to be honest.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah, because if it's just if your undy's there are
- 5:50Speaker 3: constant rubbin you get rid of the under wax.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 4: What do you think you've ever had assist?
- 5:56Speaker 5: I'm not assist so much, but I've had my fear
- 5:59Speaker 5: sure of skinner ailments. I'd recom been getting in there
- 6:02Speaker 5: with the laser, and you guys know I've done my
- 6:05Speaker 5: downstairs and surrounding areas and the laser treatment will be
- 6:09Speaker 5: absolutely the way to go for something.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Good there, feelers.
- 6:15Speaker 2: This is from You're running a really big bush there, akesy.
- 6:19Speaker 4: You were saying, miss that I'm running what a big bush?
- 6:24Speaker 4: That big bush? Oh no, not me, man, Are you
- 6:26Speaker 4: all g on that front? Yeah, it's like a well
- 6:28Speaker 4: manicured lawn. It's beautiful. It's a beautiful You could run
- 6:31Speaker 4: around barefoot on it, trim the edges. Yeah, like a
- 6:36Speaker 4: little lawn.
- 6:37Speaker 5: With a little garden gnomes sitting there, is it?
- 6:41Speaker 4: It's like a lawn with a big.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Anyway back to the text, feller, Ah, good o there guys,
- 6:52Speaker 3: I bruised and sprained my foot stepping off the dick.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Which is it both he bruised and sprained it, because
- 6:59Speaker 3: when you sprain it, you get ruising.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, okay, there's no support there.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I mean strap it. Maybe get a fowls. I'm at
- 7:07Speaker 3: work after a three day bender.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 4: So what are we doing just saying that things are
- 7:15Speaker 4: a shocking? Well, are we helping them?
- 7:19Speaker 5: Is it an well? The thing? Yeah, it's taking on
- 7:22Speaker 5: a little bit of a vibe of what's on the
- 7:25Speaker 5: dinner with me, which we have just done. It sounds yummy, Yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 5: that sounds good. Man.
- 7:31Speaker 3: I have a stinking head cold that my wife unselfishly
- 7:34Speaker 3: shared with me. Green ginger wine is helping though.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Yeah, oh green ginger wine.
- 7:40Speaker 5: The sound of that. I don't really. I haven't really
- 7:43Speaker 5: come across a cold is what I'm at the moment
- 7:45Speaker 5: of some kind of a henous infection. But I haven't
- 7:48Speaker 5: really come across any kind of head colds or anything
- 7:50Speaker 5: this year. I haven't really come across any people that
- 7:52Speaker 5: are suffering from them.
- 7:53Speaker 2: All flues because it's been such a beautiful wouldn't Can
- 7:58Speaker 2: I say that when I went away.
- 8:01Speaker 5: And pretty much as soon as you get out of
- 8:02Speaker 5: Auckland it's as cold as a bastard. Auckland is on
- 8:06Speaker 5: another planet in terms of temperature in this country.
- 8:09Speaker 3: What about this one from a chap in Napier. I'm
- 8:11Speaker 3: sick of my knees aching due to the cold. I've
- 8:13Speaker 3: taken to cutting the ends off my socks so I
- 8:15Speaker 3: can pull them up to my balls to keep my
- 8:17Speaker 3: legs warm under my jeans.
- 8:21Speaker 5: I like that.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I like the innovation.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, good stuff.
- 8:26Speaker 1: The Whole Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy
- 8:29Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio Hodkings of Leon.

- 8:48Speaker 3: the greatest song of all time. It is happening once again.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Voting does start Monday. It is for real music connoisseurs.
- 8:55Speaker 3: All you need to do is sort the fillers from
- 8:57Speaker 3: the absolute killers, is what it's got written here to
- 9:00Speaker 3: get ready to vote, all right, they'll be prizes up
- 9:02Speaker 3: for grabs and of course one hell of a musical countdown.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Man, it's going to be awesome.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I love I love.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Me a bit of Goat.
- 9:08Speaker 7: I do really enjoy the selection process. And Dilly, who's
- 9:11Speaker 7: working on a lot of the back end stuff for this.
- 9:14Speaker 7: It's slicker than ever, so Dilly's working on the back
- 9:16Speaker 7: d Dilly's working at the back end.
- 9:18Speaker 5: It's a technical term, the back end.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Right, what about Dilly.
- 9:23Speaker 5: That's very technical.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, his name is Dilla. Yeah it's just a nickname,
- 9:26Speaker 4: isn't it.
- 9:26Speaker 7: Yeah, Hey, fellas, I am heading out after the show
- 9:31Speaker 7: tonight over to your in laws place, Jase, Yes, because
- 9:35Speaker 7: they have very It was lovely to be thought of
- 9:38Speaker 7: I'm very honest. I am house sitting for them for
- 9:40Speaker 7: the month.
- 9:40Speaker 2: They were very taken with you, Pugson and your lovely partner.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Did you say for a month? For a month? Yeah,
- 9:49Speaker 4: for a month.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Wow, it's almost like you're turning into a professional house sitter.
- 9:56Speaker 4: I honestly would love that.
- 9:57Speaker 7: I have friends that have house set all over the
- 9:59Speaker 7: world and use their as a means of traveling. Yes,
- 10:01Speaker 7: it's probably good practice to be honest and great to
- 10:03Speaker 7: have a couple of references if I've decided to go
- 10:04Speaker 7: into that road.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Can I just ask, actually, before you ask your question,
- 10:08Speaker 2: could you just help set for me?
- 10:09Speaker 4: Did you leave a plug behind? Oh, like a charger?
- 10:15Speaker 3: No, so you go to the in laws tonight as
- 10:19Speaker 3: like a sort of like, oh, hey, here's our house.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, it's sort of like as an answer my question. Well,
- 10:25Speaker 4: I think that's an offer your question, Jace, what okay?
- 10:28Speaker 4: Did you pugs?
- 10:29Speaker 5: Jase?
- 10:29Speaker 7: If I was to leave something behind at your house,
- 10:31Speaker 7: it would be to send a message.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Yeah, a steamer Okay.
- 10:36Speaker 7: Yes, So I'm going there tonight and I think we're
- 10:39Speaker 7: going to have like they've invited us around for a drink,
- 10:41Speaker 7: not dinner or anything. Like that, but just to kind
- 10:42Speaker 7: of go over the house and all the ins and outs,
- 10:44Speaker 7: the plants, the beIN days, whatever, all that add many
- 10:47Speaker 7: sort of stuff.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yes, probably could be so you go around to meet
- 10:49Speaker 4: the plant.
- 10:49Speaker 7: Probably could be done over text. But that's what I'm
- 10:52Speaker 7: really looking forward to it regardless. Beautiful house, kids, It
- 10:54Speaker 7: is a lovely house, very BEAUTI malgic particularly designed place.
- 10:58Speaker 7: One thing I want to make a good impression, obviously,
- 11:01Speaker 7: because as you say, they were very excited to have me.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Well, I wouldn't say they were really excited.
- 11:07Speaker 5: They really I think you're about eighth on the list.
- 11:10Speaker 7: Really excited that many people off. I want to know
- 11:13Speaker 7: what to take with me. So i've met them before
- 11:17Speaker 7: we had wine. I don't know if you guys know
- 11:19Speaker 7: that I'm off the beers at the moment for two weeks.
- 11:21Speaker 7: So obviously I'm not going to be drinking wine. But
- 11:23Speaker 7: it's like, what do I take to their place to
- 11:25Speaker 7: kind of make a good impression.
- 11:26Speaker 3: So you're missus will Hammond though, yeah, probably look so
- 11:32Speaker 3: I wouldn't take here.
- 11:35Speaker 2: They they they love their wines. They've got an extinsive cellar.
- 11:43Speaker 2: So just something like a lovely forty to fifty dollars,
- 11:46Speaker 2: Pino gree maybe a buttery shad.
- 11:53Speaker 4: A Marjarini, like a cab Sev, Yeah, cab Sev.
- 11:59Speaker 2: So all that, all three actually, that would really impress them.
- 12:03Speaker 2: What I what we always do when we go over
- 12:05Speaker 2: there too, is we take like a cheese board, cold meats.
- 12:09Speaker 4: You take a cheese board. Well, yeah, the board as well.
- 12:12Speaker 2: We take the board because they don't actually have any boards.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You'll find that out when you're looking after the place.
- 12:19Speaker 2: We take your cheeses, your cold meats, your pickles, your condiments,
- 12:24Speaker 2: but just keep it simple.
- 12:26Speaker 7: Yeah, because I don't want to make the kind of
- 12:27Speaker 7: impression you've made on your in laws.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Basically whatever Jason usually does, do the other way. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 3: So take hot meats, don't take any cheese, use their
- 12:35Speaker 3: boards instead of wines. Yeah, perfect, good luck, Pugs.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I'm a little bit I'm a little bit anxious about
- 12:41Speaker 2: you looking after their place. Actually, just I just know
- 12:45Speaker 2: you really well and what you get up to. And
- 12:49Speaker 2: the cameras don't lie, pugs Son. I'll just say cameras.
- 12:53Speaker 2: You know, I told them my head cameras and you.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Probably leant into it.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Here's Remines the whole archy Big Show with Jason, Mike
- 13:06Speaker 1: and Kezy. Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yes, indeed, Ozzy Osborne there on the Radio Hodarchy Big
- 13:13Speaker 2: Show this Thursday evening.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Fellows have got a little bit of gardening chair play
- 13:17Speaker 5: the sting Ah.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Yeah, gardening gardening chair with the Big.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Show Old fellas. As you know, over the years there's
- 13:29Speaker 5: been a little bit of drama around at Old Mogie's house.
- 13:33Speaker 5: My wife loves buying hoops from you know, you get
- 13:36Speaker 5: them in the little poddles from the supermarket and then
- 13:38Speaker 5: lead us quite literally leaving them to die. And it
- 13:41Speaker 5: happens over and over and over again. And I don't
- 13:43Speaker 5: know why we bother just get get the ones in
- 13:46Speaker 5: the little containers there and just don't don't buy a
- 13:49Speaker 5: plant just to kill it. And this has happened. If
- 13:52Speaker 5: it's not eighty times, I can't think how many, honestly,
- 13:54Speaker 5: over the years, it would have been least And so
- 13:59Speaker 5: then it's sort of it came to her head over
- 14:01Speaker 5: Mother's Day where she said that she wanted herbs. She
- 14:07Speaker 5: wanted herbs for to say, so I go down and
- 14:09Speaker 5: buy probably ten little poddles of herbs, bring them home
- 14:14Speaker 5: in a cardboard box where they sat on the lawn
- 14:17Speaker 5: until they died. Yeah, like absolutely zero attempt to plant
- 14:24Speaker 5: them to want nothing, just sat on the middle of
- 14:27Speaker 5: the lawn and just died. And I was just like,
- 14:29Speaker 5: I'm not doing anything about this. This is my gift,
- 14:31Speaker 5: our gift to you. What are you going to do
- 14:34Speaker 5: about it? And then I head her up about it
- 14:35Speaker 5: when they were dead, and I said, you know what's
- 14:39Speaker 5: going on here? She goes, oh, there's no pot. There's
- 14:41Speaker 5: no pot. So I whant you buy one when you
- 14:44Speaker 5: ask me to buy you one? But na, no. Just
- 14:46Speaker 5: they sit there and say, anyway, I banned her now
- 14:48Speaker 5: and my daughter from doing anything with a herb. So
- 14:51Speaker 5: I've created a herb garden and it is absolutely going off.
- 14:56Speaker 5: I've got my parsley, I've got my Italian parsley, and
- 14:59Speaker 5: I've got my child and it is absolutely roaring. That's
- 15:03Speaker 5: well because in winter there's only some that go. Well.
- 15:06Speaker 5: You can add your time and your rosemary to that,
- 15:08Speaker 5: but I'm not a big user of either of.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Those, and roseme or take over.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Yeah, they have a te My dream is that I
- 15:14Speaker 5: see a herb at my house at some point in
- 15:16Speaker 5: my life that takes over instead of just rots and dive.
- 15:21Speaker 5: So I've been out there every day on the weekend,
- 15:25Speaker 5: my daughter, I'll make her scrambled eggs. It's got chibes
- 15:28Speaker 5: in it or parsley in it. Every day I have eggs.
- 15:31Speaker 5: I've got parsley in it, chithes in it. Yes, I
- 15:33Speaker 5: absolutely loving it. I'm over the moon. Anyway, I go
- 15:37Speaker 5: out there today to get some my cat birdshit. Chris
- 15:41Speaker 5: is in there, absolutely draining one all over my herbs.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Cats love personing on chives.
- 15:49Speaker 2: And they well, they just love herb patches in general,
- 15:52Speaker 2: because especially.
