- 0:34SPEAKER_04: Well hey, Stephen Jeff Show band.
- 0:36SPEAKER_04: Thanks for singing us in.
- 0:38SPEAKER_04: Jeff, how's it going?
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: You just made me think just before we started this.
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: Do you ever watch the Carol Burnett show and watched him crack crack up all the time?
- 0:47SPEAKER_03: Oh, absolutely.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: Loved it.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: Great show.
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: Did you?
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 0:51SPEAKER_03: I kind of got tired of them making mistakes on purpose and laughing about it.
- 0:56SPEAKER_03: But see, that was the fun, right?
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: Well, and Jimmy Fallon parlayed that into the gig on the tonight show, right?
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: He never did a center at Libeskit without breaking up.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: So maybe we should start breaking up more.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: So as soon as we say something funny, as soon as the first time we say something funny.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: First funny thing we crack up.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: Let's agree.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 1:15SPEAKER_04: First funny thing.
- 1:16SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:16SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: So yeah, but and I need that because right now I'm a little depressed.
- 1:21SPEAKER_03: Uh, you know, all this Canadian smoke, and I don't mean the good stuff.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: I mean, you know, well, I had some Canadian smoke one time.
- 1:28SPEAKER_04: There was absolutely it was in in BC, Vancouver.
- 1:32SPEAKER_04: Oh my gosh, it was so good.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: But I don't know, and I can't tell the difference between whether this is smoke or it's the weather, or is it a combination?
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: Because it seems to influence everything that we do in our life.
- 1:45SPEAKER_03: And and that makes me think that these Canadians are as bad as the king thought they were, and that maybe uh you know they deserve some sort of a an additional tariff for all this smoke they're pushing down to us.
- 1:57SPEAKER_04: Well, well, yeah.
- 1:58SPEAKER_04: I mean, if we if we look at smoke as an export, then yeah, we need to tariff that export on a serious note, saying, hey, we're gonna tariff Canada because smoke is coming into our our airspace.
- 2:12SPEAKER_04: That's a little bit like saying Iran is to blame for the higher oil prices because they shut down the Strait of Hormuz because we were bombing it.
- 2:20SPEAKER_04: Uh but wait, but wait, though, wait, yesterday was Friday, so it's open now.
- 2:25SPEAKER_04: That's right.
- 2:26SPEAKER_04: But it's gonna be closed Monday.
- 2:28SPEAKER_04: You know, King King always lets us know, you know, so we can move the move the stocks, you know.
- 2:33SPEAKER_04: It's just not the same since we started that war.
- 2:36SPEAKER_04: So to get back to Canada for a second here, that'd be kind of like if we started all those fires in Canada and then we went after Canada to put them out because they're ruining our summer, you know.
- 2:48SPEAKER_04: As I say that, maybe that happened.
- 2:50SPEAKER_04: It's very possible.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: I think that's I think maybe that happened.
- 2:54SPEAKER_03: But regardless, all this smoke is extremely depressing.
- 2:58SPEAKER_03: Speaking of depressing, another thing happened to me recently.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: Well, not to me, but to my grandson, who went to school, and they the teachers were teaching stuff that I just don't think they should be teaching anymore.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: And I don't remember them teaching that when I was young.
- 3:13SPEAKER_04: Are they still doing that love your neighbor stuff?
- 3:16SPEAKER_04: Oh, please.
- 3:16SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, enough already, you know.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: So they're teaching him how to make good decisions.
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: The decisions since when do you need to know how to make good decisions?
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 3:27SPEAKER_03: And when is he ever gonna use that?
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: Come on, right, and if you teach him how to use make good decisions, he can't be president anymore.
- 3:34SPEAKER_03: Well, there you go.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: And you know, I don't want to limit your grandson, you know.
- 3:38SPEAKER_03: No, and so if you ask me, it's none of their business.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: I don't know what the next class would be, like how to criticize Israel and still be Jewish or choosing a gender, all that stuff.
- 3:48SPEAKER_03: These are all really tough calls, and I feel like they need to be made by your parents and not by teachers, you know.
- 3:56SPEAKER_03: The only thing teachers should be teaching is how to use firearms and how to detect if somebody's in the country illegally.
- 4:03SPEAKER_03: Otherwise, they should just stop because what are we preparing him for?
- 4:08SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 4:08SPEAKER_03: When he gets older, the only jobs are going to be available are ice jobs, and the only thing you need to know is how to use a gun and how to identify somebody that appears to not belong in this country.
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: So yeah, well, that's my opinion.
- 4:22SPEAKER_04: By the time your grandchildren are in the workforce, those they'll be the only place that has any money, it'll be ice, you know.
- 4:29SPEAKER_04: I think you know, I I got a granddaughter.
- 4:31SPEAKER_04: My granddaughter must be taking the same types of courses.
- 4:35SPEAKER_04: You know, it's probably part of that whole national let's make schools great again, you know, when they put the wrestling lady in charge of education.
- 4:42SPEAKER_04: This is kind of what you get, right?
- 4:43SPEAKER_04: But you know, I'm glad that early education, like Head Start, I'm glad that's still a priority to the White House, you know, and uh who would have thought of starting it as early as the first trimester of pregnancy, but hey, not a waste of money at all.
- 4:57SPEAKER_04: No, they're kids, but I digress, you know.
- 5:00SPEAKER_04: Uh anyway, about my granddaughter, you know, I I can proudly say my granddaughter aced the making good decisions class.
- 5:07SPEAKER_04: Oh, she really did, you know.
- 5:09SPEAKER_04: I I remember her final exam question.
- 5:12SPEAKER_04: Teacher went around, it was it was an oral exam, you know, and the teacher went around and asked the student was something good that they did that day.
- 5:20SPEAKER_04: So this one kid said, She has it was grandparents' day, and I happened to be there, so I can't yeah, I remember this.
- 5:25SPEAKER_04: It was it was it was a proud moment, you know.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: So this one kid said, I gave money to a homeless man, right?
- 5:32SPEAKER_04: Another kid said, Oh, I helped my mom with the chores.
- 5:36SPEAKER_04: Those both sounded so good, but uh you know the teacher said that they were a little too woke.
- 5:42SPEAKER_04: She probably had to, because or they'd cut her funding, you know.
- 5:44SPEAKER_04: I mean for sure.
- 5:46SPEAKER_04: I mean take her broadcast license on it for all I know.
- 5:49SPEAKER_04: But so this third kid said that he helped an old lady across the street.
- 5:53SPEAKER_04: So teacher said, you know, impressed and all, but I think the teacher must listen to this podcast because she associates my granddaughter with me, and so she didn't expect much from my granddaughter.
- 6:05SPEAKER_04: You know what I'm saying?
- 6:07SPEAKER_04: So so she asked my granddaughter, Did you do a good thing today?
- 6:10SPEAKER_04: And my granddaughter says, I prevented a murder.
- 6:14SPEAKER_04: Whoa.
- 6:15SPEAKER_04: So you're ready for that one.
- 6:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:18SPEAKER_04: The teacher, oh, she's stunned, very stunned, more stunned than anyone has ever been.
- 6:23SPEAKER_04: No one's ever seen stunningness like this.
- 6:26SPEAKER_04: It was so stunning.
- 6:28SPEAKER_04: A lot of people are telling me.
- 6:29SPEAKER_04: So teacher asked her, How?
- 6:31SPEAKER_04: How'd you prevent a murder?
- 6:32SPEAKER_04: And my granddaughter said, self-control.
- 6:39SPEAKER_04: Now there's some common sense.
- 6:41SPEAKER_04: Well, now, of course, you don't need that to be an ice agent, as we as we see every every day, but you know, hey, I was very proud though.
- 6:49SPEAKER_04: It did make me think about how important it is as a country to do or say the right thing.
- 6:56SPEAKER_04: I mean, you know, we were all, most of us, brought up the way that way, to do the right thing, say the right thing.
- 7:02SPEAKER_04: Some sort of social decorum, some sort of social rules.
- 7:06SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 7:07SPEAKER_04: You know, and I started thinking about this because, you know, with recently the sudden death of Lindsey Graham and you know, probably the sudden death of Mitch McConnell too, but they weren't able to hide Lindsay's body until it's too late for a special election.
- 7:19SPEAKER_04: So that's sure.
- 7:21SPEAKER_04: We'll talk about Lindsay Mitch, maybe a future show, you know.
- 7:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:24SPEAKER_04: But you know, Lindsay, I guess, Lindsay always did the right thing, if you define the right thing as what's going to benefit me the most, and I don't care about you.
- 7:34SPEAKER_04: Uh he always did that.
- 7:36SPEAKER_04: Always.
- 7:36SPEAKER_04: I was impressed though with how the whole country just said nothing but good things about his life.
- 7:43SPEAKER_04: I mean, people who were on the other side of the aisle, people who didn't agree with m you know any of his positions or most of them, said nice things about him, you know.
- 7:52SPEAKER_04: And I it's I I just think it's great that our country is has finally gotten back to the point.
- 7:58SPEAKER_04: In a sense, DEI is back as long as you know you're white, southern, conservative, and male.
- 8:03SPEAKER_04: We certainly have come a long way.
- 8:05SPEAKER_04: So maybe we should celebrate all the kind words that were said about the real patriot, Lady G uh Lindsay Graham.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: I think you've kind of said it all.
- 8:14SPEAKER_03: Because I know Mitch can't say it right now.
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Mitch Mitch doesn't say it much these days, is he?
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: And I don't think Lindsay can say it either.
- 8:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Lindsay, well, I think.
- 8:22SPEAKER_03: Or Lady G.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: Or Lady G.
- 8:24SPEAKER_04: I think Lindsay and Mitch are having a chat, if you know what I mean.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: I think so.
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: I think you do.
- 8:30SPEAKER_03: And I'm not laughing because they passed away and have died.
- 8:34SPEAKER_03: You know, I've grown out of that recently.
- 8:38SPEAKER_04: No, that's exactly what we have to fight against.
- 8:41SPEAKER_04: Celebrating that.
- 8:42SPEAKER_04: That's what we have to fight against.
- 8:44SPEAKER_04: And I'm glad that we've finally gotten to the point where you know, where that's not a problem anymore.
- 8:49SPEAKER_03: And you know who's best at not saying the wrong thing, not doing the wrong thing, is the Republican Party in Macco.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, oh my gosh, they are they always say the right thing, don't they?
- 8:59SPEAKER_03: Always.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: I'm striving to be as good as them.
- 9:02SPEAKER_03: I mean, take a look at Lindsay for a second, you know?
- 9:05SPEAKER_03: They didn't criticize him on anything.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: And I'm not saying that there were reasons to criticize him, but in general, they don't criticize people on their sexual orientation or their religious beliefs or the colors of the negligee that they wore, or you know, any anything hurtful.
- 9:22SPEAKER_03: They always side on not criticizing people, you know, like like they never go after trans.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: It's the strength of the party.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: No values.
- 9:31SPEAKER_04: I mean, can you imagine?
- 9:32SPEAKER_04: Can you I mean, come on, it that's that'd be as bad as I don't know, making fun of a handicapped reporter on national television.
- 9:38SPEAKER_04: That's right.
- 9:39SPEAKER_04: Who would ever do that?
- 9:40SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 9:42SPEAKER_03: So it's a higher standard, and I feel like that's kind of a new thing that's gone on in this country, and I think it's for the better.
- 9:48SPEAKER_03: You know, there's no more value judgments about what you believe in, there's no attacking and spreading rumors that that are offensive, or just doing it for political gain, and and you know, we're returning to the time when the only thing that's important is to obey and love our leader.
- 10:08SPEAKER_03: Everything else isn't important.
- 10:10SPEAKER_03: If you obey and love the leader, it seems to be the only law these days.
- 10:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: It is the only thing, everything else, you know, murder, rape, pedophiling, or pedophiler or pedophile.
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: That gets you promotion, yeah.
- 10:22SPEAKER_03: It gets you promotion and closet cross-dressing, all those things are fine.
- 10:26SPEAKER_03: Not that any of those things have to do with Lindsey Graham.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: I'm just saying they live in a land where those things are off limits.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: It's just a big tent for MAGA.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: So oh, absolutely, yeah.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: You know, and a big purple nightgown.
- 10:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, which is very stunning, I thought.
- 10:43SPEAKER_03: Very stunning, especially like the way they're handling Mitch McConnell in his hour of need, you know, or his day of need, or in his last four days of or four years of need.
- 10:55SPEAKER_04: I long about August 4th, he's gonna suddenly, you know, they'll have some news.
- 11:00SPEAKER_04: I think they'll have some news, yeah.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: He'll probably come out of it at that point.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: You think that there's a chance?
- 11:06SPEAKER_04: He'll like suddenly, yeah.
- 11:08SPEAKER_04: No, they'll there'll be news that day.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: You watch.
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 11:12SPEAKER_03: Well, I'm looking forward to it because I, you know, I think in some ways Mitch is saying the right thing more often right now than he ever has.
- 11:20SPEAKER_04: Mitch has never been this correct in his entire career.
- 11:24SPEAKER_04: He has never been this bipartisan, he's never been this kind, he's never been this smart, he's never been this correct.
- 11:32SPEAKER_04: This is uh this really is a an amazing time.
- 11:35SPEAKER_03: Maybe this is a good time for us to talk about Lindsay and talk about some of these tough issues and do it in a positive way like they do, and maybe we can learn from them.
- 11:45SPEAKER_03: Do you think that's possible?
- 11:47SPEAKER_04: Really, if we want a more humane society, a kinder society, we have to be the ones that lead the way.
- 11:54SPEAKER_04: And you know, let's face it, we probably didn't agree with Lindsay Graham on very much, but we can say some nice things about him, though.
- 12:02SPEAKER_03: Well, let's do that and uh follow the lead of the king.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: I I know that he's always said the right thing, and and it's a high standard, a high bar.
- 12:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: Um, do you have an example of of what our leader has said?
- 12:14SPEAKER_03: Because I think that would be really important.
- 12:16SPEAKER_03: I think you've got the first one.
- 12:19SPEAKER_04: I think you have the first example.
- 12:20SPEAKER_04: See, now we can crack up, right?
- 12:22SPEAKER_04: I have the first example.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: You do.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: There you go.
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: I mean, I feel like Tim Conway.
- 12:28SPEAKER_03: Almost brought me to tears some of the things that he said about Lindsey Graham.
- 12:32SPEAKER_04: You know, I gotta say, yeah, I gotta tell you, I am I am exactly on on board with that because every time I hear him talk, I want to start crying too.
- 12:39SPEAKER_04: But yeah, digress.
- 12:40SPEAKER_03: Go ahead.
- 12:41SPEAKER_03: When he got up and he said, and this is a quote, that Lindsay had become a deranged person, Trump arrange arrangements, arrangement, derangement syndrome.
- 12:53SPEAKER_03: I think he said arrangement syndrome.
- 12:55SPEAKER_04: Well, he probably did.
- 12:56SPEAKER_04: I think he meant that.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: And that in no way would he ever support him, no way at all, because he was really bad for the country.
- 13:06SPEAKER_03: Clearly, Lindsay's death really took a toll on the president.
- 13:10SPEAKER_04: You know, Jeff, that's nice that you quoted our king, but I I think you may have picked a quote that he didn't say about Lindsey Graham.
- 13:17SPEAKER_04: I think that's what he said about Rob Reiner the day after he and his wife were murdered.
- 13:23SPEAKER_04: He said exactly that.
- 13:25SPEAKER_04: Not only did our king show a unique form of compassion for the Reiner family, but his whatever Laura Loomer, White House consultant, queen of the MAGA zombie beauty movement, who really kind of sets the tone for that.
- 13:37SPEAKER_04: That that's how the undead recognize each other.
- 13:40SPEAKER_04: They get those faces, you know.
- 13:41SPEAKER_04: But I but anyway.
- 13:43SPEAKER_04: So she really helped clarify what the king was saying.
- 13:46SPEAKER_04: Laura Loomer said, Many people who have crazy kids have psychiatric issues themselves.
- 13:53SPEAKER_04: And then she went on to say celebrity children often become total deadbeat losers.
- 13:59SPEAKER_04: Gosh, do we know any kids of somebody who's been on reality TV who are total deadbeat losers?
- 14:08SPEAKER_04: Many become total deadbeat losers because many were raised to have no accountability by parents who subscribed to hardcore liberalism.
- 14:17SPEAKER_04: Right, right.
- 14:18SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 14:19SPEAKER_04: Shouldn't I?
- 14:20SPEAKER_04: Reiner himself sounded insane when he would speak.
- 14:23SPEAKER_04: Imagine how crazy his own kid was on drugs.
- 14:27SPEAKER_04: We have a mental health crisis in America.
- 14:30SPEAKER_04: Now, can you find a better example of compassion than that?
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: I can't, you know, although, in fairness, you know, I'm I mean, they really aren't the leaders of the party, you know.
- 14:41SPEAKER_04: No, well, oh, you want a leader of the party?
- 14:43SPEAKER_04: I I got one of those for you, too.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:45SPEAKER_04: Little Mickey Johnson, Mike Johnson, speaker of the house.
- 14:49SPEAKER_04: There's a phrase I can't wait to not have to say.
- 14:52SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 14:53SPEAKER_04: And uh I think he put it best.
- 14:56SPEAKER_04: He said that the king's comments on the death of Rob Reiner and his wife were quote, not his way, that he would have said it differently.
- 15:06SPEAKER_04: I think that says it all, since that really is all he said about it.
- 15:09SPEAKER_04: He didn't say anything differently.
- 15:12SPEAKER_03: True, true, that is all he said about Reiner and his family.
- 15:16SPEAKER_03: But for Charlie Kirk, Speaker Johnson had much more to say about Charlie Kirk.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: Oh, I think that's a good idea.
- 15:22SPEAKER_03: He actually, yeah, he actually asked everyone to pray for Charlie Kirk and his family.
- 15:28SPEAKER_03: Political violence has become all too common in American society, and that's not who we are.
- 15:36SPEAKER_03: He also pushed for a resolution honoring Kirk and condemning violence through the House.
- 15:42SPEAKER_03: That is probably the only resolution he has actually passed.
- 15:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I mean Congress actually Congress actually had to work for about you know three minutes there.
- 15:50SPEAKER_04: I you know, actually.
- 15:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and so that is how my gosh you communicate when it comes to violence.
- 15:56SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: And let's go back to Lindsey, let's go back to Lindsey Graham for a second.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: One of the great statements about Graham was made by Mitch McConnell, Mitch, who's himself has a lot in common with Lindsay right now.
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: You and Lindsay are sharing a lot of common traits.
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: Very close.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: Very close.
- 16:15SPEAKER_03: And he said about Lindsay, Lindsey Graham was a good friend and a great American.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: And I was shocked and saddened by his passing.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: His constituents and colleagues have counted on his straight talk, conviction, boundless appetite for a worthy fight.
- 16:33SPEAKER_03: The Senate will miss him, and Elaine and I will keep his family in our prayers.
- 16:39SPEAKER_03: Now that now, to me, that is how you make an announcement, even though he actually didn't say it, but it was in it was written down by somebody.
- 16:49SPEAKER_04: I think I think he said that maybe in one of those multiple 20-minute conversations that so many Republicans had with him.
- 16:56SPEAKER_04: You know, it was amazing.
- 16:58SPEAKER_04: They all said, Yeah, I talked to him for 20 minutes.
- 17:00SPEAKER_04: They all had 20 minutes.
- 17:01SPEAKER_04: So if you add that all up, unless they were all on the same Zoom call, and if it might have been kind of quiet on one end, but if they were all in the same call, if they weren't, I mean, that's like it was like a couple days by the time you got all this together, but but I digress it.
- 17:16SPEAKER_04: I agree.
- 17:16SPEAKER_04: That was really a nice thing to say about someone.
- 17:19SPEAKER_04: Now I read that you know McConnell was shocked to hear about Grant's passing since he figured Lindsay had a shot at heaven, but you know, McConnell says that one day he just showed up right there, like the rest of the MAGA folks, you know.
- 17:32SPEAKER_04: But you know, I haven't read any obits on McConnell from the party, uh, but it's not August 4th yet.
- 17:37SPEAKER_04: So we'll probably have a chance to read those.
- 17:39SPEAKER_04: I hope that they give him the appropriate attention because really you think about it, he's the guy who perhaps more than many others, more than any others, maybe put us in the situation we're in today.
- 17:52SPEAKER_04: So you see how fair I am?
- 17:54SPEAKER_04: You know, you you're are you Republican?
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: I guess you are, because you just sound so fair.
- 18:00SPEAKER_04: Oh, I would have aced that IQ test my granddaughter took.
- 18:03SPEAKER_04: Uh I'll tell you what, I sort of come up to me with tears in her eyes and said, I sir, no one's ever gotten this highest score on your test ever.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: Since McConnell isn't with us anymore, I when I say that I mean he's in the hospital.
- 18:18SPEAKER_03: He's not in the studio with us.
- 18:19SPEAKER_03: Well, he's not in the studio anymore.
- 18:21SPEAKER_03: But you know, I know the king, he's always one step ahead, thinks that maybe he's not with us permanently.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: And you know, he and I think his comment about Mitch was I was never a fan and I never will be.
- 18:35SPEAKER_03: And then he claimed that McConnell had graduated last in his class, and he also shared the the steel dossier uh to the FBI during his 2016 election.
- 18:48SPEAKER_04: So you know, he he probably felt some kinship about that last in the class graduation.
- 18:54SPEAKER_04: You know, he could relate to that, but uh you know, I don't think that was about Mitch McConnell.
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: No, that is something the king said, but he said it about John McCain after John McCain died.
- 19:06SPEAKER_04: But see, you know, we understand why he said that because McCain was captured in war and tortured and decided, actually had the opportunity to be released and decided, no, I'm gonna stay with my with my guys here.
- 19:19SPEAKER_04: You know, here I'm I'm not gonna get special treatment.
- 19:21SPEAKER_04: So, you know, I think the king put him in the category of suckers and losers as a result of that, you know.
- 19:28SPEAKER_04: Uh plus, you know, the king at that time, the king was enduring such pain from the bone spurs.
- 19:34SPEAKER_04: So you know, and did he ever get captured?
- 19:38SPEAKER_04: No, not even for sexually assaulting women or or boys.
- 19:44SPEAKER_03: You're right, you're right, or young women.
- 19:46SPEAKER_03: Right, or young boys, or young boys.
- 19:50SPEAKER_03: You are right, and speaking of lifetime public servants and boys, I remember when Robert Mueller, head of this FBI and longtime servant to many presidents, when he passed away, our king was extremely supportive and passionate.
- 20:09SPEAKER_04: Oh, absolutely.
- 20:09SPEAKER_04: Yes, immediately as is befitting the leader of a country when a person dies.
- 20:15SPEAKER_04: You're supposed to say something nice, you know.
- 20:17SPEAKER_04: You don't have to go overboard, but you know, you're supposed to say something appropriate and uniting.
- 20:22SPEAKER_03: I think what he said was, God, good God, I am so glad that he's dead.
- 20:29SPEAKER_03: So I know on the surface that sounds a bit negative, but think about it this way.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: He was empathizing with the condition of Mueller at the time of his death.
- 20:41SPEAKER_03: And I I agree with that.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: I agree that you know these lingering deaths, they're painful, they're unfair.
- 20:48SPEAKER_03: And I think what he was really saying was, I'm just glad that he's at peace and that he couldn't relax.
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: And if that's not an amazing act of empathy, then I don't know what it is.
- 21:00SPEAKER_04: I guess that shows that Elon Musk is wrong.
- 21:03SPEAKER_04: That empathy does have an important place in our society.
- 21:07SPEAKER_04: Want to get serious for a minute here.
- 21:09SPEAKER_04: You know, sometimes when famous people die, you know, you hear rumors or conspiracies about how they died, or or sometimes even if they died at all.
- 21:18SPEAKER_04: We've all heard rumors that Elvis was alive and working at some fast food place in Indiana or something.
- 21:23SPEAKER_04: That's right.
- 21:24SPEAKER_04: Or that Paul McCartney was not alive, was dead, or that Mitch McConnell is still alive.
- 21:29SPEAKER_04: You know, you hear all these rumors.
- 21:30SPEAKER_04: It's it's just wild, crazy stuff.
- 21:33SPEAKER_04: But with Lindsey Graham, you haven't heard anything except that he was poisoned by President Zelensky in Ukraine.
- 21:40SPEAKER_04: But of course, that was started by Antifa, not by MAGA.
- 21:43SPEAKER_04: But of course, Antifa is just MAGA in a mask on Fox News.
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: And that when you say Antifa, you're talking about European Antifa.
- 21:52SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 21:53SPEAKER_03: American Antifa.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: That's a completely different branch.
- 21:56SPEAKER_04: They have a completely different habitat, yeah.
- 21:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so absolutely one nests in the spring, and the other is kind of more midsummer, yeah.
- 22:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you could say whatever you want about MAG, and we certainly have, but the bottom line is they don't believe in conspiracy theories.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: Oh gosh, name one, name one that they've believed.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: Just one, just name one.
- 22:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, name one.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: Um, and when fake news happens, MAG is the first one, and the whole Republican Party make it clear that they won't put up with it and they won't they won't take that kind of stuff laying down, you know, like like Mitch.
- 22:33SPEAKER_03: They even bring those conspiracy theories up to dispel them, not to let them simmer.
- 22:39SPEAKER_04: That is so true, except every rule has his its exceptions, you know.
- 22:43SPEAKER_04: You know what I'm saying?
- 22:43SPEAKER_04: And so now maybe if we're talking about algae in the reflecting pool, yeah, but but but I digress, you know.
- 22:51SPEAKER_04: For example, I uh Elon Musk, I just mentioned him a second ago, spoke out and retweeted the theory that uh Lindsey Graham was beaten up by his gay lover.
- 23:01SPEAKER_04: You know, that's outrageous.
- 23:03SPEAKER_04: You know, maybe the guy was gay.
- 23:04SPEAKER_04: I don't, you know, I don't know, I don't care, right?
- 23:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, well, who cares, right?
- 23:07SPEAKER_04: You know, uh I think Trump Jr.
- 23:09SPEAKER_04: retweeted it too, just to make it clearer that it wasn't true.
- 23:13SPEAKER_04: Because, you know, lest anyone believe it, oh well, if Don Jr.
- 23:17SPEAKER_04: says it, okay, well, that's total crap then.
- 23:19SPEAKER_03: Well, Steve, I I I don't want to defend Elon, but I think he might not have been talking about um Senator Graham.
- 23:27SPEAKER_03: I think he may have been referencing Nancy Pelosi's husband who was attacked in his home.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: You know, but but even when there's an attack on the Democrats, Republicans point out and show that it isn't true.
- 23:40SPEAKER_03: I remember Senator Cruz retweeting that theory as well.
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: There's a stand-up guy.
- 23:46SPEAKER_04: Oh, you know.
- 23:46SPEAKER_04: Oh man, there's somebody you can really trust.
- 23:50SPEAKER_04: You know, I think, Jeff, I think in the spirit of brotherhood, I don't think that's too big a word for this.
- 23:56SPEAKER_04: I in the spirit of brotherhood.
- 23:58SPEAKER_04: No.
- 23:59SPEAKER_04: I think it's great that we were able to pay our respects after Lindsey Graham's sudden death.
- 24:05SPEAKER_04: And I actually had the Stephen Jeff Show band put something together, and so they're going to give their tribute to Lindsey Graham.
- 24:14SPEAKER_04: So, Stephen Jeff Show band, take it away.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: This has been a Missing Toadie production in association with Eternity Media.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: Read all about our hosts at stevandjeff.com.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: We want to provide a memorial tribute.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: And my mom and teachers always told me that if I can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: So here is our tribute.
