Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Lesley Groff Faces Congress Over Her Role in Epstein’s Operation
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:02Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Over the past eight or nine months, the
- 0:08Speaker 1: Congressional Oversight Committee looking into the Jeffrey Epstein scandal has
- 0:12Speaker 1: had a revolving door of people coming in to have
- 0:15Speaker 1: a chat. Well, today, Tuesday, June ninth, twenty twenty six,
- 0:21Speaker 1: that revolving door swings again, and this time it's Leslie
- 0:25Speaker 1: Groff who's on deck. And while there's never been any
- 0:28Speaker 1: accusation that Leslie Groff took part in any abuse, I
- 0:33Speaker 1: don't think there's any doubt that she was a key
- 0:36Speaker 1: cog in the Epstein machine. And without Leslie Groff, Jeffrey
- 0:39Speaker 1: Epstein couldn't have done what he did. But here's the
- 0:42Speaker 1: big problem. The government never charged Jeffrey Epstein with RICO.
- 0:47Speaker 1: So if it wasn't a recal operation in the government's size,
- 0:50Speaker 1: then how can they charge Leslie Groff? They can, And
- 0:54Speaker 1: like I told you from the very beginning, that was
- 0:57Speaker 1: all by design. This has never been about get to
- 1:00Speaker 1: the bottom of anything. And I hate to say it,
- 1:03Speaker 1: this committee is no different. Their goal isn't to figure
- 1:07Speaker 1: out what happened and hold people accountable. Their goal is
- 1:10Speaker 1: to control the blast radius, and unfortunately they've done a
- 1:13Speaker 1: pretty good job. I mean, the topic certainly doesn't have
- 1:16Speaker 1: the momentum that it had before. Everybody's talking about Iran.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Everybody's talking about this, that or the other thing. Meanwhile,
- 1:23Speaker 1: these scumbags are happy as hell, swimming around in their
- 1:26Speaker 1: money like Scrooge McDuck and screwing the rest of us. Still,
- 1:30Speaker 1: But I mean, what does that matter with all the
- 1:32Speaker 1: winning that's going on with Iran? Right? I mean, how
- 1:34Speaker 1: can we stomach all this winning? I mean, is there
- 1:36Speaker 1: a more jubulant feeling than paying ninety bucks to fill
- 1:39Speaker 1: up your sedan? I mean, not to very too far
- 1:41Speaker 1: off course here, but what did we gain? What was
- 1:44Speaker 1: gained by the whole entire thing in Iran? But putting
- 1:48Speaker 1: some distance between the Epstein files and the administration, do
- 1:53Speaker 1: you really think they're not gonna have nuclear weapons anymore?
- 1:55Speaker 1: All this is is Obama two point zero. But I
- 1:58Speaker 1: guess it's okay this time because you know your guy.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Today's article is from The Guardian and the headline Jeffrey
- 2:05Speaker 1: Epstein assistant Leslie Groff set to testify before the House panel.
- 2:10Speaker 1: This article was authored by Anna Betts. Leslie Groff, Jeffrey
- 2:14Speaker 1: Epstein's longtime executive assistant, is testifying on Tuesday before the
- 2:19Speaker 1: House Oversight and Reform Committee as lawmakers on the panel
- 2:23Speaker 1: continued their investigation into the late convicted sex offender. And
- 2:26Speaker 1: do we really think that Leslie Groff doesn't have a
- 2:28Speaker 1: story to tell. She most certainly does. She knows the who's,
- 2:33Speaker 1: the whys, the whens, and the wares, and up until
- 2:37Speaker 1: this point she hasn't come forward and talked about any
- 2:41Speaker 1: of it. Groff worked for Epstein for almost twenty years,
- 2:46Speaker 1: beginning in two thousand and one and ending in July
- 2:49Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, when he was arrested. Notes from a twenty
- 2:52Speaker 1: twenty one FBI interview with Groff, which was included in
- 2:56Speaker 1: the millions of documents related to Epstein released by the
- 2:59Speaker 1: Department Adjusts earlier this year, state that she told the
- 3:02Speaker 1: agents that she began working for Epstein after she was
- 3:05Speaker 1: contacted by a headhunter who found her resume and told
- 3:08Speaker 1: her that there was a job to organize one man's life.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And Okay, I get it. That sounds like a great job, right,
- 3:16Speaker 1: But once you're there and you see what's going on,
- 3:20Speaker 1: all those excuses go out. The window. Let's not act
- 3:23Speaker 1: like you're being forced to do this. She had no
- 3:26Speaker 1: problem doing this job because she was being rewarded handsomely,
- 3:30Speaker 1: a lot of money, a lot of prestige, use of
- 3:33Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's jets, his apartments, all of it, and that allure.
- 3:38Speaker 1: It draws people in and people who are willing to
- 3:41Speaker 1: go to great lengths to try to rationalize that kind
- 3:44Speaker 1: of shit with themselves as long as they're benefiting monetarily
- 3:48Speaker 1: or in other ways. What do they care about these kids?
- 3:51Speaker 1: What do they care about these women from Russia? Not
- 3:55Speaker 1: their problem? Right? The man turned out to be Jeffrey Epstein.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Groff told agents that she had not previously heard of them.
- 4:03Speaker 1: She said that she interviewed with several people for the position,
- 4:06Speaker 1: including Epstein and Glene Maxwell, Epstein's longtime associate who's currently
- 4:11Speaker 1: serving a twenty year prison sentence for sex trafficking crimes.
- 4:15Speaker 1: According to the FBI document, Groff said that she signed
- 4:19Speaker 1: a non disclosure agreement. Well, yeah, they all do, they
- 4:22Speaker 1: all did, but that shit doesn't mean anything in criminal court.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Criminal court is where NDA is going to die. So
- 4:31Speaker 1: the NDA that's going to protect you from embarrassing you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: talk in public. That's not going to protect you from
- 4:38Speaker 1: a federal investigation, or at least it shouldn't. But when
- 4:42Speaker 1: it comes to people like Jeffrey Epstein, of course different
- 4:45Speaker 1: rules right rules for them and then rules for us.
- 4:50Speaker 1: The document states that Groff told agents that her responsibilities
- 4:53Speaker 1: included scheduling meetings, making phone calls, coordinating with Epstein's driver
- 4:58Speaker 1: in chef and other people, and managing much of his
- 5:01Speaker 1: daily schedule and appointments. According to the FBI notes, Groff
- 5:06Speaker 1: told investigators that from the beginning, massage was part of
- 5:09Speaker 1: Epstein's day. They were normal appointments. Groff's job was to
- 5:14Speaker 1: make appointments. The FBI notes say to Groff, making massage
- 5:17Speaker 1: appointments was just another appointment she made for Epstein, adding
- 5:22Speaker 1: that Epstein would call Groff in the morning and say
- 5:25Speaker 1: something like, call and see if she can do a
- 5:27Speaker 1: massage at fourteen. You know what. That's all fine and well,
- 5:32Speaker 1: but when you're calling a high school girl, I would
- 5:35Speaker 1: think that you know what's going on? Now She'll say,
- 5:38Speaker 1: I had no idea how old she was. But how
- 5:41Speaker 1: many of you believe that? Do you really think that
- 5:44Speaker 1: these people that were working together, that were in Epstein's
- 5:48Speaker 1: orbit didn't talk. They knew what was going on. They
- 5:52Speaker 1: all chose to look the other way. That's my opinion,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and I think the contemporaneous facts back that up. But
- 5:58Speaker 1: the hard part is, how do you prove that. You
- 6:01Speaker 1: can't prove that in a court of law. Right, So
- 6:04Speaker 1: unless you charge them with RICO, there's nothing you can do.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Your hands are tied as law enforcement. In recent years,
- 6:12Speaker 1: Groff has faced public scrutiny after it emerged that she
- 6:15Speaker 1: was among four women identified as possible co conspirators and
- 6:19Speaker 1: granted immunity from prosecution under Epstein's controversial two thousand and
- 6:23Speaker 1: seven plea deal with federal prosecutors in Florida. So if
- 6:27Speaker 1: she wasn't a co conspirator, why did they give her immunity?
- 6:32Speaker 1: Please stop insulting our intelligence. Holy fuck. When asked last
- 6:37Speaker 1: month about Graff's knowledge of details surrounding Epstein's two thousand
- 6:41Speaker 1: and eight conviction, her attorney Michael Backner, told the Guardian
- 6:45Speaker 1: that after Epstein's arrest in two thousand and eight, he
- 6:48Speaker 1: continuously lied to Leslie and other members of the staff,
- 6:51Speaker 1: insisting that he had been blackmailed and set up. So
- 6:55Speaker 1: you believe it. Just take him at face value. The
- 6:58Speaker 1: government was in on it. Everybody was fucking Jeffrey Epstein.
- 7:01Speaker 1: That's the deal. I mean, it's a good excuse, but
- 7:06Speaker 1: no competent person's buying it. If I was working for
- 7:09Speaker 1: somebody and they got nailed for picking up little girls
- 7:13Speaker 1: and then called them a prostitute, the second I heard
- 7:16Speaker 1: the news, I would quit, have a little bit of integrity, Like,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I understand, we have bills to pay, and yeah, there's
- 7:23Speaker 1: other jobs, there's other shit to do, and there's other
- 7:27Speaker 1: people to work for. But for twenty years, well, Leslie
- 7:32Speaker 1: Groff had no desire to do any of that. Backner
- 7:36Speaker 1: added that Epstein angrily said that the allegations against him
- 7:39Speaker 1: were simply false and he had no idea that the
- 7:42Speaker 1: prostitute he had contact with was a minor, adding that
- 7:45Speaker 1: in Leslie's mind, that was the reason that he was
- 7:48Speaker 1: treated so leniently by law enforcement before and after he
- 7:51Speaker 1: was sentenced. Like, you don't go to an escort a
- 7:56Speaker 1: professional somebody that wants to be doing what they're doing, because,
- 8:00Speaker 1: believe me, I have no problem with people who want
- 8:03Speaker 1: to engage in, you know, sex work. I don't care
- 8:06Speaker 1: not my business. Nothing I do. But I'm not everybody else,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and not everybody else is me, and not everybody has
- 8:13Speaker 1: the same moral compass. I get that, and I'm certainly
- 8:16Speaker 1: not somebody that gives a shit what anybody does in
- 8:18Speaker 1: their bedroom. But the whole story here about how she
- 8:21Speaker 1: had no idea about how he was being blackmailed. Who
- 8:26Speaker 1: buys that? Does anybody out there really buy that? And
- 8:29Speaker 1: to tell you the truth, I highly doubt that twelve
- 8:32Speaker 1: jurors would buy it either. Imagine being a jur getting
- 8:36Speaker 1: all the evidence in a RICO case and then Leslie
- 8:39Speaker 1: Groff telling you she doesn't know. I don't think that
- 8:42Speaker 1: would work out. For In fact, what you would see
- 8:46Speaker 1: is everybody turning on everybody else, and that is why
- 8:50Speaker 1: we don't have Rico. The Epstein files released by the
- 8:56Speaker 1: Justice Department also included an internal FBI document from twenty
- 9:00Speaker 1: nineteen that list eight people as possible co conspirators, including Groff.
- 9:05Speaker 1: In a statement to NBC News earlier this year, Groff's
- 9:09Speaker 1: lawyer said that she'd never seen the document and was
- 9:12Speaker 1: unaware of it. Well, that's because they never pursued it.
- 9:15Speaker 1: There was never a real investigation. Just like I told you,
- 9:19Speaker 1: saw those dumb motherfuckers out there that cry and bitch
- 9:21Speaker 1: and moan, and we're on bullshit narratives that this has
- 9:24Speaker 1: all been investigated. They're liars, the whole last lot of them,
- 9:28Speaker 1: a bunch of propaganda push in punk ass liars. In fact,
- 9:35Speaker 1: neither Leslie nor counsel were ever notified by law enforcement
- 9:38Speaker 1: that she was considered an Epstein co conspirator, her lawyer said.
- 9:42Speaker 1: On the contrary, after Leslie voluntarily spoke with prosecutors and
- 9:46Speaker 1: answered each and every question asked of her, she was
- 9:48Speaker 1: told that she was not being prosecuted. Well that's a
- 9:52Speaker 1: big problem too, Do you guys not get it. It's
- 9:54Speaker 1: not just about what Epstein did, It's about what the
- 9:56Speaker 1: government did. And I wish people would just wake up
- 10:01Speaker 1: and see the forest through the trees here. Whenever we
- 10:03Speaker 1: have a Republican administration, the Democrats, well they can't wait
- 10:08Speaker 1: to tell you how much they don't trust the government. Meanwhile,
- 10:13Speaker 1: you have all the people that were just telling us
- 10:15Speaker 1: under Biden that the government can't be trusted, Well, they're
- 10:18Speaker 1: all big time fans of the government now, and the
- 10:20Speaker 1: government's doing the right thing, and the storm's gathering, and
- 10:24Speaker 1: where we go one we go all. The truth is,
- 10:29Speaker 1: the government doesn't give a fuck about you, and it
- 10:32Speaker 1: doesn't matter what party's in power. And the sooner you
- 10:35Speaker 1: guys wise up to that shit, the better off we're
- 10:37Speaker 1: all gonna be. Do you think these people really care
- 10:40Speaker 1: about you while you're fighting with all your friends or
- 10:44Speaker 1: not inviting your cousin Jodah Christmas because he has a
- 10:47Speaker 1: different political view than you. Meanwhile, all these people behind
- 10:50Speaker 1: the scenes, they're living it up. You ever hear a
- 10:53Speaker 1: k fabe and wrestling. They may pretend their enemies right,
- 10:58Speaker 1: but behind the scenes, obviously it's all fake and their
- 11:01Speaker 1: friends sam in politics, these people despise you, so why
- 11:06Speaker 1: in the hell would you run cover for them? Why
- 11:09Speaker 1: in the hell would you defend their bullshit on a
- 11:11Speaker 1: regular basis. Groff's name also appeared in a twenty twenty
- 11:18Speaker 1: FBI interview with a survivor of Epstein's abuse, in which
- 11:21Speaker 1: the person whose name is redacted said that they felt
- 11:25Speaker 1: like Groff knew what was going on and knew the
- 11:27Speaker 1: massage appointments were sexual, but the person acknowledged that they
- 11:30Speaker 1: never said anything to Leslie about the massages. Following Epstein's death,
- 11:35Speaker 1: Groff along with several other employees and associates of Epstein,
- 11:39Speaker 1: was named in several civil lawsuits filed by survivors against
- 11:43Speaker 1: Epstein and his estate. Some plaintiffs accused her of facilitating
- 11:47Speaker 1: his abuse. Groff's attorney has said that she never engaged
- 11:52Speaker 1: in any misconduct and never knowingly made travel arrangements for
- 11:55Speaker 1: anyone under eighteen. The civil claims against Groff were later dismissed. Yeah, well,
- 12:01Speaker 1: what about travel arrangements for women who are being trafficked?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Ever make those? Did you ever schedule a flight for
- 12:08Speaker 1: somebody to come from point A the point B, crossing
- 12:12Speaker 1: state lines or international lines with the express purpose of
- 12:16Speaker 1: them being abused or used for sex? Well, then congratulations,
- 12:20Speaker 1: you're now part of the conspiracy. Her lawyer has also
- 12:25Speaker 1: said the allegations against Groff in civil suits simply wrong, confused,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and devoid of any facts establishing that she had any
- 12:33Speaker 1: idea of Epstein's horrible and nefarious conduct. Groff was subpoenaed
- 12:38Speaker 1: by the House Committee in March to appear before the
- 12:40Speaker 1: panel for an interview. Due to public reporting documents released
- 12:44Speaker 1: by the Department of Justice and documents obtained by the committee,
- 12:48Speaker 1: the committee believes you have information that will assist in
- 12:52Speaker 1: its investigation, the letter from Representative James Comer, the Republican
- 12:56Speaker 1: who chairs the committee, reads. Last month, another one of
- 13:00Speaker 1: Epstein's former assistants, Sarah Kellen, also testified before the House
- 13:04Speaker 1: Committee as part of their investigation. In her testimony, Kellen
- 13:08Speaker 1: denied she was an accomplice of Epstein and said that
- 13:11Speaker 1: she was sexually and psychologically abused by the late financier
- 13:15Speaker 1: during her employment. And look, like I've said, I have
- 13:19Speaker 1: no doubt that Sarah Kelln was abused. That doesn't give
- 13:22Speaker 1: her immunity from the shit she did, though, And unless
- 13:25Speaker 1: she provides some actionable intelligence on somebody, well she should
- 13:29Speaker 1: be right up there with everybody else when it comes
- 13:32Speaker 1: to investigations. And now that we're done with the Pam
- 13:34Speaker 1: Bondi transcript, we're going to be diving in to the
- 13:38Speaker 1: Sarah Kelln transcript. We'll see what she had to say.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And then after their released this Leslie Groff transcript, well
- 13:44Speaker 1: we'll be diving into that bad boy too. So until then,
- 13:47Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. All the
- 13:49Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 13:52Speaker 1: the description box.
