We've done swings, slides, climbing frames... but there's one thing we haven't covered. Luna: What's that? Lucas: The tire swing. In Spanish, it's 'el neumático'. Luna: El neumático. That sounds like something from a car. Lucas: Exactly — 'neumático' means tire. So a tire swing is just 'el neumático'. Let's say it together: el neumático. Luna: El neumático. Lucas: Good. Now, if you want to invite someone to get on the tire swing, you say: ¿Quieres subirte al neumático? Luna: ¿Quieres subirte al neumático? That's 'Do you want to get on the tire swing?' Lucas: Perfect. ¿Quieres subirte al neumático? Luna: ¿Quieres subirte al neumático? Okay, I'll try that. ¿Quieres subirte al neumático? Lucas: You've got it. Now let's say you're on the tire swing and someone is going to push you. They might say: Voy a empujarte. Luna: Voy a empujarte. 'I'm going to push you.' Lucas: Yes. Voy a empujarte. Luna: Voy a empujarte. And if I'm nervous, I might want to hear: Sujétate fuerte. Lucas: Sujétate fuerte — 'Hold on tight.' That's a good one. Sujétate fuerte. Luna: Sujétate fuerte. And after the ride, I can say: Es divertido. Lucas: Es divertido — 'It's fun.' Let's put it all together in a little scene. Luna: Okay, I'll be the one on the tire swing. You be the pusher. Lucas: Sounds good. So I'll ask: ¿Quieres subirte al neumático? Luna: Sí, quiero subirme al neumático. Lucas: Voy a empujarte. Sujétate fuerte. Luna: ¡Es divertido! Gracias. Lucas: De nada.
