- 1:39Speaker 2: Yes, all right.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Let's kick off our discussion of a royal setting with
- 1:46Speaker 1: a synopsis. Ruby, a world renowned gemologist, is hired by
- 1:52Speaker 1: Prince Luca to restore the crown jewels and design his crown,
- 1:57Speaker 1: challenging tradition and complicating his relationship with his mother, the Queen.
- 2:02Speaker 1: A royal setting is directed by Bradley Walsh, a Hallmark
- 2:05Speaker 1: regular with more than fifty directing credits, including Twas the
- 2:08Speaker 1: Date Before Christmas and Catch Me a Few Claws. Ainsley,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Gordon and w. Stewart share writing credit. Ainsley brings twenty
- 2:15Speaker 1: three previous writing credits, including Last Christmas's Melt My Heart
- 2:20Speaker 1: This Christmas. W Stewart has nine credits, including two unwrapping
- 2:25Speaker 1: Christmas titles, Lily's Destiny and MIA's Prince Jen. Lily starts
- 2:30Speaker 1: as Ruby, marking her long awaited return. To Hallmark for
- 2:32Speaker 1: the first time since twenty twenty two. Fans will remember
- 2:35Speaker 1: her from favorites like.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Mingle All the Way, A Little daytime Drama, and the
- 2:39Speaker 2: cult classic The Spirit of Christmas.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I love how The Spirit of Christmas always comes up
- 2:44Speaker 1: for a gin Lily movie.
- 2:45Speaker 2: It's because it's one of the best. It's entertaining, it
- 2:51Speaker 2: is entertaining.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Dan Janotte co stars as Prince Luca, reuniting with gin
- 2:57Speaker 1: Lily after Paris, Wine and Romance. He was most recently
- 3:01Speaker 1: seen in Love on the Danube Royal Getaway. Sarah Ornstein
- 3:07Speaker 1: plays Queen Ivy. Sarah has thirty one previous acting credits
- 3:11Speaker 1: and recently appeared in When Hope Calls Ed. Pinker plays Xander.
- 3:15Speaker 1: This marks his seventeenth acting credit and previously appeared in
- 3:18Speaker 1: The Love Club from twenty twenty five. Sarah with THEIONG
- 3:21Speaker 1: appears as Jory. This is her thirty fourth acting credit,
- 3:24Speaker 1: with recent roles in Heartland and the movie called Daddy's
- 3:27Speaker 1: Deadly Secret.
- 3:28Speaker 2: That's My Vibe.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Tim macan appears as guard Fred. This and a movie
- 3:34Speaker 1: called Christmas with a Prince The Royal Baby from twenty
- 3:37Speaker 1: twenty one are his only acting credits, We'll be right
- 3:40Speaker 1: back with our first impressions. Before we share our first impressions,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I opened up Instagram because I wanted to pull some
- 3:55Speaker 1: of the comments from the first impression post.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and the very.
- 3:58Speaker 1: First thing is a host from Hallmark Channel saying, oh,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I love on Deck starring Daniel Listening and Ryann and
- 4:04Speaker 1: Fish is officially in production in.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Beautiful Queensland, Australia. First of all, this is.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Kind of unusual for Hallmark to announce a movie like that,
- 4:15Speaker 1: like in production.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 1: But second of all, Daniel Listening hopefully getting to speak
- 4:22Speaker 1: in his native Australian accent, is something to look forward to.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I can guess your thoughts on the rest of that movie, though.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Daniel Listing is enough for me to tune in for sure.
- 4:34Speaker 1: But it's this, This is where my thought is. It's
- 4:38Speaker 1: a travel movie also starring Ryann and Fish, who is
- 4:41Speaker 1: like the queen of travel movies? Is it directed by
- 4:44Speaker 1: that same guy that always directs travel movies starring Ryann
- 4:49Speaker 1: and Fish?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Quite possibly, But let's share our first impressions of a
- 4:54Speaker 2: royal setting minus guess who's back back ache and the.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Marketer uh oh, mine is clearly we're operating on Hallmark
- 5:05Speaker 1: standard time, as a number of permanent life decisions made
- 5:08Speaker 1: in a single week on the behalf of Prince Luca
- 5:10Speaker 1: is truly staggering. I have a question for you, okay,
- 5:14Speaker 1: and I may have asked this already. Was this an acquisition?
- 5:19Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I saw some Facebook comments from somebody we know actually
- 5:25Speaker 1: who was commenting on Hallmark's like official instagram, like that
- 5:30Speaker 1: was promoting the movie, and they were like, Nope, not
- 5:33Speaker 1: going to watch another terrible acquisition. And I was like, oh,
- 5:35Speaker 1: is this an acquisit? Is this confirmed an acquisition?
- 5:38Speaker 2: I don't know that information.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I don't either, But let's talk about what we did. Like, Okay,
- 5:43Speaker 1: why don't you jump in? Because Megan liked this movie.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I did not. Guys.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It's funny because I have so many complaints about this movie.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I really enjoy the process of watching it. I can't
- 5:54Speaker 1: explain it. I really can't explain it. Here's what I liked.
- 5:58Speaker 1: My absolute star of the movie is Fred slash George.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Why because what's not to love about our Guard George?
- 6:07Speaker 2: That's what you liked about this movie?
- 6:10Speaker 1: I mean, fine, fine, fine, Here's what else I.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Liked Luca's wardrobe. I had some issues with the wardrobe
- 6:17Speaker 2: in this movie.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But Luca, he wears pink ties, he wears floral shirts.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It's like, I'm the model of a modern major general,
- 6:24Speaker 1: Like I am like bringing the monarchy forward. He's challenging tradition. Yes,
- 6:32Speaker 1: with the power of a look. Also, this isn't a like,
- 6:35Speaker 1: this is just a comment. I was watching this entire
- 6:37Speaker 1: movie and I was trying to figure it out. Jen
- 6:39Speaker 1: Lily has Disney princess face. Yeah, definitely like big eyes,
- 6:44Speaker 1: rosy cheeks, perfectly proportioned and symmetrical, big hair. She's got
- 6:51Speaker 1: Disney princess face. I think that's her hair too, maybe
- 6:54Speaker 1: some extensions, but I.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Don't think it's a wig.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna stop you there. There's a lot to
- 6:59Speaker 1: unpack right here. First of all, you did text me.
- 7:03Speaker 1: You said Dan Jannot is wearing sweat shorts. He was
- 7:08Speaker 1: Was this a like or was this just like a
- 7:10Speaker 1: what is happening?
- 7:11Speaker 2: Hair?
- 7:12Speaker 1: Because I didn't love Dan's hair in this movie and
- 7:16Speaker 1: didn't even clock it.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It was too big. It was giving something about the nineties.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It was like tall, the nineties are back, baby.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It was Jason Priestley tall, Brandon Walsh tall taller Megan
- 7:31Speaker 1: has her fears in her hair right now and she's
- 7:33Speaker 1: lifting it sky high like Dange and I is such
- 7:36Speaker 1: a handsome man. I was like, Oh, I think his
- 7:38Speaker 1: hair is too long for this movie. And then like
- 7:42Speaker 1: in the opening scene he is in gray sweatshirts. No,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it wasn't a like I was because they were going
- 7:46Speaker 1: for a run, and I get it, but I was like,
- 7:49Speaker 1: some theme are the I know, like gray sweatpants. Like
- 7:51Speaker 1: I'm very familiar with the vibe there, and maybe that's
- 7:56Speaker 1: what they.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Were going for. It just didn't That wasn't landing for me.
- 8:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 8:00Speaker 1: What also didn't land for me in that scene is
- 8:02Speaker 1: they were not wearing like running shoes.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Oh what kind of shoes were they wearing that? I
- 8:06Speaker 2: don't know.
- 8:07Speaker 1: They look like a pair of like Sambas Adidas. I mean,
- 8:11Speaker 1: uh huh, technically those are probably, but you know, not
- 8:14Speaker 1: like a They weren't in a hookah.
- 8:16Speaker 2: They weren't headed out in like a new balance like
- 8:18Speaker 2: we're going for a run, yeah, exercise.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It was like they were wearing a casual, sporty shoe,
- 8:24Speaker 1: not a running shoe.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Anyway, my next thing I want to talk about is.
- 8:31Speaker 2: One of my biggest likes is Jim. Lily is as
- 8:36Speaker 2: cute as a button. She really is.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And I did see a comment that said her hair
- 8:41Speaker 1: like was terrible, and I disagree. I thought her hair
- 8:44Speaker 1: and makeup I thought were very pretty. And you're right,
- 8:47Speaker 1: she does like her face is Disney princess.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I liked her hair too, and because it was it
- 8:53Speaker 1: was voluminous, and I was like, people are gonna say
- 8:56Speaker 1: this is a way because it was voluminous and it
- 8:58Speaker 1: stayed in place.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I don't know if you noticed, but.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I think she maybe had extensions in what doesn't in
- 9:03Speaker 1: these names Totally.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I'm not knocking it.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I was just trying to figure it out because I
- 9:07Speaker 1: was looking at an interview with her and I was like,
- 9:09Speaker 1: that's her hair. I just think she had more of it,
- 9:12Speaker 1: which yeah, great. Also, I kind of liked the monochromatic
- 9:18Speaker 1: look they gave her in almost every single scene, Like
- 9:21Speaker 1: she was like the monochromatic pantsuit queen.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I thought she looked good. It's my number one. Like
- 9:27Speaker 2: I loved Ruby's wardrobe.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I thought polished, flattering, bright, like she must have had
- 9:37Speaker 1: a hand in picking out the wardrobe, I think maybe, Yeah,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I mean, who knows that pink that pink dress.
- 9:44Speaker 2: She loved it. Yeah, the festival loved it.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I wrote in my notes, it looks like she belongs
- 9:49Speaker 1: on the cover of Gemologist weekly, which and she was.
- 9:54Speaker 1: It was some sort of magazine that she was on
- 9:55Speaker 1: at the beginning. But like I thought, outfits, hair make
- 10:00Speaker 1: a all on point.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're right, she is so cute in this movie.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I think that's what I liked.
- 10:06Speaker 1: She's really watchable in this movie, like in those scenes
- 10:10Speaker 1: where she's just chatting to George and pulling off both
- 10:13Speaker 1: sides of the conversations herself. I found that endlessly enjoyable. Yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I didn't hate it. I didn't hate it. I do
- 10:23Speaker 1: want to add here, if you guys know us or
- 10:26Speaker 1: have listened to us, you know I had my reservations.
- 10:29Speaker 2: But I truly went into this.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I was like, all right, because you and I said,
- 10:34Speaker 1: let's go into it with an open mind, like let's
- 10:36Speaker 1: just see what Hama presents to us.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 10:40Speaker 1: So I did not go in like with a hater
- 10:43Speaker 1: chip on my shoulder right by any means. But you
- 10:50Speaker 1: kind of touched on this already. But I did really
- 10:53Speaker 1: appreciate the modern royal angle.
- 10:57Speaker 2: I will always root for like a royal who wants
- 10:59Speaker 2: to shake up. I love that. I love when Hallmark
- 11:03Speaker 2: kind of.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Like explores that trope. So that worked for me. The
- 11:09Speaker 1: idea of this story worked for me. I just don't
- 11:12Speaker 1: know if like it fully got there for me though.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I hear you.
- 11:16Speaker 1: We have the Jory Xander subplot, and I am so
- 11:19Speaker 1: glad that right off the bat we know that Jory
- 11:24Speaker 1: is not hoping for a future with the Prince because
- 11:28Speaker 1: that leads us on a path that I don't want
- 11:30Speaker 1: to go down where the Prince is like, sure, I'll
- 11:32Speaker 1: take you to this event. He's having to work between
- 11:36Speaker 1: like what his mom wants and what he wants.
- 11:39Speaker 2: He and Jory are on the same page. Neither of
- 11:41Speaker 2: them want this.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm glad that it's immediately established like it's
- 11:44Speaker 1: Jory and Xander forever.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Also, look call me cheesy, I don't know what it was.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I liked the paper gems, the little achievement marker paper
- 11:53Speaker 1: gems look sweet and when she gives them to George
- 11:56Speaker 1: and writes steadfast on it, give me a break his
- 12:00Speaker 1: heart when he hates it, I don't know what to
- 12:01Speaker 1: tell you.
- 12:02Speaker 2: It's him.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Why did you see that? I'm going to talk about
- 12:04Speaker 1: it in a minute.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I want to fold a paper, Jym, somebody give me a.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Paper, jam Look, words of affirmation are absolutely my love language.
- 12:11Speaker 2: So it's working for me.
- 12:12Speaker 1: That is not true.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Tied with gifts, there it is.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But but I really I do need words of affirmation.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I need to be told you're doing a good job.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Me too. I'm ready to move on to wishes. Okay.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I wish this movie had some sense of momentum. I
- 12:30Speaker 1: thought it felt incredibly slow the entire time. It just
- 12:35Speaker 1: never quite took off from me.
- 12:38Speaker 2: You do, do you disagree? Look when I look at
- 12:41Speaker 2: the plot, I'm like, oh, nothing happens. I don't know
- 12:43Speaker 2: what it is. I did not feel that in watching them,
- 12:48Speaker 2: really didn't. I don't know. Maybe I was just I
- 12:50Speaker 2: don't Maybe I had a.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Good night's sleep and I was just ready to settle in.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Maybe I didn't have other things to do, and just
- 12:59Speaker 1: for chillin' in the mood for a Hallmark I must
- 13:03Speaker 1: have been traditional movie. Right, It's happy, you know, Like
- 13:07Speaker 1: I always love the vibe of the TV show Superstore
- 13:09Speaker 1: because it's so bright.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I think maybe I just needed that joy in my life.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I will agree that it does have that, but it
- 13:18Speaker 1: wasn't enough. I also needed sharper dialogue. I needed witty, playful,
- 13:24Speaker 1: something memorable.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Mmm.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I thought there was lots of explaining of things, but
- 13:31Speaker 1: it lacked like charm.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Yeah, lots of exposition. Yeah, yeah. You know.
- 13:39Speaker 1: One of my favorite podcasts, The West Wing Weekly, would
- 13:41Speaker 1: call scenes like that tell a Donnas, where Josh would
- 13:44Speaker 1: tell his assistant Donna, like he would explain something. She'd
- 13:47Speaker 1: be like, oh, I don't understand that trade agreement, and
- 13:49Speaker 1: then he would explain it to her so that the
- 13:50Speaker 1: viewers would understand it.
- 13:51Speaker 2: It's exactly that look.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I wish Ruby had googled the Prince once. The fact
- 13:58Speaker 1: that she traveled internationally and had no idea what this
- 14:01Speaker 1: man looks like. It's giving Megan Markle. I didn't understand
- 14:05Speaker 1: the royal family. I like Megan Markle, but I do
- 14:08Speaker 1: not believe her. I had no idea who he was
- 14:11Speaker 1: or what he was about before.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Give me a break.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah, can I talk about this specific scene at the
- 14:18Speaker 1: top of the movie where you know she's like working,
- 14:21Speaker 1: I don't know she's working on some sort of jewels
- 14:23Speaker 1: or whatever. And then the mom presents like, oh, you
- 14:26Speaker 1: have this assignment assignment invitation whenever to go do and
- 14:32Speaker 1: and the mom was like talking her up, like you're
- 14:35Speaker 1: this and you're that, and they want you to do this.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And her reaction was like hmm really him. And I
- 14:42Speaker 1: was like, why are you responding and such like an
- 14:48Speaker 1: inquisitive like you are so surprised that you're wanted for
- 14:55Speaker 1: this job, Like she.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Was like, oh, I had never thought about that, Like
- 14:58Speaker 2: it just was so off putting to me.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'm like, you are She's on the cover of a magazine, right,
- 15:06Speaker 1: like people think like she is one of the best
- 15:09Speaker 1: at her job, so why wouldn't she be pursued as such?
- 15:16Speaker 2: It was just was weird to me. So this whole
- 15:19Speaker 2: like section is like the.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Mom explained to us the audience of like what a
- 15:25Speaker 1: great opportunity this is, and who this person, the prince is,
- 15:29Speaker 1: and their family and their history and whatever, blah blah
- 15:31Speaker 1: blah blah. Again, it's just like it's so much telling
- 15:37Speaker 1: us Yeah, yeah, I hear you, I hear that. My
- 15:42Speaker 1: other big wish is I didn't think that Ruby and
- 15:45Speaker 1: Prince Luca had any chemistry.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what people are saying.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I thought they seemed they were very polite with each other. Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I didn't see it, and I was honestly kind of
- 16:00Speaker 1: price because this is that fine line of like characters
- 16:04Speaker 1: versus actors, right, these two actors have worked together in
- 16:08Speaker 1: a movie that people love, Like I thought that they
- 16:10Speaker 1: were so great in together. I've never seen that movie,
- 16:14Speaker 1: but I didn't see it here, And I don't know
- 16:17Speaker 1: if it was because their characters are like that or
- 16:20Speaker 1: just because like the vibes weren't happening between our two actors.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Well.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Also, I mentioned the timeline in my first impression. We
- 16:29Speaker 1: make a huge leap here. The man puts a ruby
- 16:33Speaker 1: in his crown for like a woman who is he's
- 16:37Speaker 1: on it for five days, and he puts the ruby
- 16:38Speaker 1: in his ground and doubles down by choosing a ruby
- 16:41Speaker 1: for his special gem that's going to be put on
- 16:43Speaker 1: the display, which, by the way, the display in the
- 16:46Speaker 1: lobby that you.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Can just lift the lid off of. Explain that to me, like,
- 16:51Speaker 2: I need a little more security there. But we make
- 16:56Speaker 2: such a leap.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Fine, and bte her to be your date of the
- 17:00Speaker 1: coronation and buy her to stick around, spend some time,
- 17:03Speaker 1: but I'm falling for you. They use the word love.
- 17:09Speaker 1: He permanently cements her into his reign as a king
- 17:13Speaker 1: in a week. That's an enormous leap as opposed to,
- 17:17Speaker 1: Oh maybe I'd like to go on a.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Date with this woman. I just had a thought. Did
- 17:22Speaker 2: they ever check?
- 17:23Speaker 1: Did they ever catch those thieves who broke into the
- 17:27Speaker 1: louver and stole those crown jewels? I don't remember. I
- 17:33Speaker 1: don't know, like it only happened like a few months ago,
- 17:36Speaker 1: but I don't think they caught anybody.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Several suspects were arrested, but the stolen treasures have not
- 17:42Speaker 2: been recovered. Do you have any more wishes? I have
- 17:45Speaker 2: two more.
- 17:46Speaker 1: One. I wish Ruby's mom hadn't jumped to the immediate
- 17:50Speaker 1: you're in.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Love with the prince, go for it.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I was just a shop girl who I'm like, First
- 17:58Speaker 1: of all, the mom does even know the prince. She's
- 18:02Speaker 1: on the other side of the world, and she's like
- 18:04Speaker 1: telling her daughter, like, go for it.
- 18:06Speaker 2: You just met this, I go for it. That feels
- 18:09Speaker 2: ikey to me. Yes, I'd like, don't get love bombed,
- 18:12Speaker 2: like open.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Your totally totally and my last thought is just an opinion,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and why I asked if this was an acquisition, because
- 18:22Speaker 1: if this is supposed to be gen Lily's big return
- 18:25Speaker 1: to Hallmark, this was not the vehicle for it.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't do her the service she was hoping for.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Probably in my notes I say that I wish Jory's
- 18:34Speaker 1: wardrobe had gotten the same memo that Luca's got. But
- 18:36Speaker 1: now that I think about it, I wonder if it
- 18:38Speaker 1: was intentional, because I found Jory's wardrobe to be very
- 18:40Speaker 1: traditional and almost a little bit juvenile.
- 18:43Speaker 2: It's appearance and very.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Classic, and I wonder if that's an intentional nod to
- 18:48Speaker 1: the fact that she was the one who was supposed
- 18:50Speaker 1: to be upholding tradition. Oh maybe, and her mom, the Countess,
- 18:55Speaker 1: was so firm in her beliefs.
- 18:58Speaker 2: So maybe I'm going to give that wardrobe.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Choice the benefit of the doubt and assume that it
- 19:04Speaker 1: was intentional to make her look that way. Interesting.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Okay, are you ready for did you see that? I am? Okay,
- 19:09Speaker 2: I got a bunch. I have a few. Ohay, go ahead.
- 19:12Speaker 2: One is kind of a joke.
- 19:14Speaker 1: My I was watching this my husband walk by, and
- 19:16Speaker 1: they were saying something back crown jewels, and of course
- 19:19Speaker 1: my husband's twelve, and it was like, I'll give you
- 19:21Speaker 1: these crown jewels. And I was just like, it was like,
- 19:24Speaker 1: take a drink every time we say crown turls. I
- 19:28Speaker 1: laughed every single time we are twelve. Also apparently yes, yes, yes,
- 19:33Speaker 1: because you.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Touched on it.
- 19:34Speaker 1: The diy Jim shaped encouragement notes.
- 19:37Speaker 2: What did you call them? You had a better name
- 19:39Speaker 2: for them, achievement markers?
- 19:41Speaker 1: Okay, Q in theory, I just the execution was real
- 19:47Speaker 1: middle school?
- 19:48Speaker 2: Sure?
- 19:49Speaker 1: And are you making one for your daughter? You're an
- 19:53Speaker 1: adult daughter, not eighteen, more like forty. It's a nod
- 20:00Speaker 1: to her childhood. I think that's what becomes cute if
- 20:04Speaker 1: you started in her adulthood. It's weird, but it's kind
- 20:07Speaker 1: of like the dad who writes a note to their
- 20:09Speaker 1: daughter and their lunch box every day and then like
- 20:12Speaker 1: later on slips like a napkin note to their daughter
- 20:15Speaker 1: as a sweet moment. I can I got you there
- 20:18Speaker 1: a little bit. You did get me there a little bit,
- 20:20Speaker 1: but I just okay, a little cheesy.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I have two more? Did you see?
- 20:25Speaker 1: That's but I'm curious to hear yours.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Okay, some of them.
- 20:29Speaker 1: When Dan puts Jen back in the Mercedes, like when
- 20:34Speaker 1: the driver comes back and.
- 20:36Speaker 2: The tire is fixed.
- 20:37Speaker 1: He's hiding who he is and he uses this like
- 20:39Speaker 1: fake accent and he's like, oh, thank you very much.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Just made me laugh out loud.
- 20:45Speaker 1: The Queen gives a speech to Ruby in which she
- 20:49Speaker 1: is savage and says newer gemstones may catch the eye,
- 20:53Speaker 1: but we can't ignore history. And I'm like, oh, She's like,
- 20:56Speaker 1: get out of here, you interloper. Luca uses the phrase
- 21:01Speaker 1: the royal Instagram, and we rarely hear real social media
- 21:05Speaker 1: platforms coming out in a Hallmark movie. This is not
- 21:08Speaker 1: in the movie, but I saw a clip of an
- 21:10Speaker 1: interview with Jen talking about the crown that Luca wears.
- 21:14Speaker 2: First of all, she says that originally.
- 21:16Speaker 1: They had spent a ton of money and commissioned a
- 21:18Speaker 1: crown to we made, and it arrived and it was
- 21:21Speaker 1: basically three.
- 21:21Speaker 2: D printed and made of plastic.
- 21:23Speaker 1: She's like, she said, She's like, I joked, we called
- 21:25Speaker 1: it the Marvel crown. She like it looked like a
- 21:27Speaker 1: Halloween costume, so they had to scramble to get something made.
- 21:31Speaker 1: And she even comments, like the dialogue they say about
- 21:33Speaker 1: the crown doesn't match what the actual crown looks like
- 21:36Speaker 1: because the jeweler that they got was on such like
- 21:38Speaker 1: a time crunch, Like she was like, he did, you know,
- 21:40Speaker 1: a great job with what he had.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I just like that little behind the scenes peak.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Oh interesting, I like that too. I didn't see that interview.
- 21:49Speaker 1: And finally, another line from his mother when she says
- 21:53Speaker 1: heart is never something I considered what it came to
- 21:55Speaker 1: your hand in marriage was like, ouch, it's twenty twenty six, people,
- 22:00Speaker 1: we're seeing the same thing in the foresight, right, yeah,
- 22:04Speaker 1: just like Gimma, which.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Is not set in twenty six.
- 22:07Speaker 1: My two other wishes are One is a question does
- 22:14Speaker 1: Dan do not have an accent or not? I genuinely
- 22:17Speaker 1: don't know anymore. Is he an American?
- 22:21Speaker 2: I think so? Or is he English?
- 22:22Speaker 1: I don't know, Like he plays so many roles where
- 22:25Speaker 1: he's like of British descent or whatever or European.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Descent, like I don't know.
- 22:33Speaker 1: My other did you see that is based off of
- 22:37Speaker 1: because our first impressions post the fans were commentine, and
- 22:41Speaker 1: then when I fired this movie up, I couldn't it
- 22:44Speaker 1: could not be ignored. The makeup on Prince Luca and Xander.
- 22:47Speaker 1: They look like straight out of Twilight. They were so
- 22:51Speaker 1: pasty and then they had like these red lips.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I don't know if it was makeup or if it
- 22:57Speaker 1: was lighting. Yeah, I agree. Dan Jannott is a Canadian actor.
- 23:02Speaker 1: He speaks both English and French fluently. Oh, here, here's
- 23:06Speaker 1: an interview.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I'm really excited to Harris.
- 23:10Speaker 1: So, no, he does not have a British accent, but
- 23:12Speaker 1: it is so wild to put him in a role
- 23:14Speaker 1: with one. Quite frequently make him a Parisian. I want
- 23:18Speaker 1: to hear him speak French.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Also, this is my biggest complaint. Why does every fake
- 23:23Speaker 1: Royal have a British accent? There are other accents?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Oh, I have another? Did you see that?
- 23:28Speaker 1: I just remembered. Okay, I don't know where this, like
- 23:32Speaker 1: Royal Land, was supposed to be. Yeah, but when Ruby
- 23:37Speaker 1: is being driven by a driver, they're in like an America.
- 23:41Speaker 1: It's like on the left side of the driver is
- 23:44Speaker 1: on the left side, just like it is here. They
- 23:47Speaker 1: only drive on the right in a few countries really, Yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 1: the UK, Australia. Okay, but this is supposed to be
- 23:55Speaker 1: taking place in the UK, is it not?
- 23:56Speaker 2: No, maybe no, where they're in Gallium? Where the f
- 24:00Speaker 2: it's I know?
- 24:02Speaker 1: Okay, UK is four countries, Okay, fine, fine, so stay listen.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Most of Europe does not drive correct hmm okay. End
