- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the program. In
- 0:03Speaker 1: this episode, we're going to dive right back in to
- 0:05Speaker 1: those transcripts from day number four of the Tyler Robinson
- 0:09Speaker 1: prelim hearing. And we're picking back up with the video
- 0:15Speaker 1: that's being played in the courtroom of Lance Twiggs. And
- 0:20Speaker 1: he turned himself in on the 11th, right? Twiggs, I
- 0:23Speaker 1: thought so, yeah. Question, okay, again, we're just going to
- 0:26Speaker 1: go through this so we have a record of the messages.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Is that an accurate recording of the thread? Answer, to
- 0:32Speaker 1: my knowledge, yes. Question, and that was sent, it looks
- 0:35Speaker 1: like between September 10th and September 12th. Looks like the
- 0:39Speaker 1: last day on the September 12th screen. Answer, yes. Question, okay, alright.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So again, those messages covered from September 10th to the
- 0:48Speaker 1: evening of September 11th. Now, September 11th, what time, or
- 0:52Speaker 1: did you see Tyler on September 11th? Answer, yes. Question, yes.
- 0:57Speaker 1: When did you first see him? On September 11th. So
- 0:59Speaker 1: this is the day after the shooting. Answer, yeah, I
- 1:03Speaker 1: saw him when I woke up. Like I said, he
- 1:05Speaker 1: was up and around doing a lot of stuff around
- 1:07Speaker 1: the house. And then I think I saw him after
- 1:09Speaker 1: that message where I said I'll come home and say
- 1:12Speaker 1: I'm doing laundry because I didn't want him going to
- 1:14Speaker 1: my parents' house right then when he said there was
- 1:17Speaker 1: probably cops outside. So I went back home and it
- 1:20Speaker 1: was just him there and I said bye to him
- 1:23Speaker 1: and then he drove off. So I just went back
- 1:25Speaker 1: to my parents' house. Question, so he acted erratically? Was
- 1:29Speaker 1: he pacing? Was he just sitting down, relaxing? Answer, no,
- 1:33Speaker 1: he was walking around a lot. Question, and that's within
- 1:35Speaker 1: the home? Answer, uh-huh. Question, and did he talk about
- 1:39Speaker 1: what he had done? Answer, didn't go into detail. I
- 1:43Speaker 1: just asked him in person if what he said was
- 1:45Speaker 1: true the night before, and he said it was. He
- 1:47Speaker 1: started crying a little bit and said he wished he
- 1:50Speaker 1: hadn't done it, and then kept going around and just
- 1:53Speaker 1: doing stuff, I think, to keep himself busy or distracted
- 1:55Speaker 1: or something. Question okay, did he talk about what he
- 1:58Speaker 1: was doing next? Answer, and then eventually he said that
- 2:02Speaker 1: he would talk to his parents or turn himself in.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Question okay, and when you left, was that how you
- 2:08Speaker 1: left understanding that he was going to turn himself in
- 2:10Speaker 1: or go to his parents? Answer yeah, I didn't really
- 2:13Speaker 1: want to be at our apartment while any of that
- 2:15Speaker 1: was happening regardless of what went down. Question okay, before
- 2:19Speaker 1: he came home, had you seen the press releases, any
- 2:22Speaker 1: of the media on this? Answer, I'd seen one Instagram
- 2:26Speaker 1: link a friend of mine had sent in our group chat,
- 2:28Speaker 1: but I hadn't really looked into it at all. Question,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and had you seen the images that were released of
- 2:33Speaker 1: the suspect? Answer, I did the next day. I don't
- 2:36Speaker 1: think I saw any on the 10th. Question, I'm going
- 2:40Speaker 1: to show you a couple of those images, okay? I'm
- 2:42Speaker 1: on the FBI's website. You can see the URL there
- 2:45Speaker 1: at the top. This is a press release about the event,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and here on the screen you see these. Looks like
- 2:51Speaker 1: there's two rows of three images. Do you recognize the
- 2:54Speaker 1: person in these images? Answer. I wouldn't say with 100% certainty,
- 2:59Speaker 1: just because of the camera quality, but that looks like
- 3:01Speaker 1: him in terms of the shoes he's wearing, the sunglasses.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I don't think I'd specifically seen him wearing that hat,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but he was usually wearing a hat and then jeans.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So it definitely, especially the bottom, the last two definitely
- 3:12Speaker 1: do look like him. Question. Who's he? Answer. They look
- 3:16Speaker 1: like Tyler Robinson. Question. And you talked about that with
- 3:20Speaker 1: your friends, right? This is really him? Answer, yeah, his friends, yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I don't remember if I talked about it with any
- 3:26Speaker 1: of my friends. And then since I didn't have my
- 3:29Speaker 1: phone after that for a while, and I'm still not
- 3:31Speaker 1: using social media, I don't know on my friend's end. Question, okay,
- 3:36Speaker 1: all right. I want to back up a little bit now.
- 3:38Speaker 1: We've talked about September 10th, but let me get a
- 3:41Speaker 1: little bit of context here. So did you game with Tyler? Answer, yeah. Question,
- 3:46Speaker 1: what kind of games? Answer, we played just kind of
- 3:49Speaker 1: party games together. anything that would be multiplayer with a
- 3:52Speaker 1: group of friends. There was one game he really liked
- 3:55Speaker 1: called Sea of Thieves, where he plays a pirate and
- 3:58Speaker 1: you can fight against people, but most of it's just fishing,
- 4:01Speaker 1: fighting sharks, skeletons, kind of stuff. We played some co-op
- 4:05Speaker 1: games where it's like you both have to work together
- 4:08Speaker 1: to win in whatever way. Way back when, when I
- 4:10Speaker 1: was just out of high school, when I first knew
- 4:12Speaker 1: him online, we played some shooting games together, but I
- 4:15Speaker 1: didn't know him very well. So that was just when
- 4:18Speaker 1: we had a full friend grouped on to play and
- 4:20Speaker 1: he was someone that my friends invited. Question, okay, did
- 4:24Speaker 1: he ever talk about politics? Answer, he did more than me.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I still don't really keep up with politics that much.
- 4:30Speaker 1: He'd usually talk about stuff he heard on the radio,
- 4:33Speaker 1: on his drive to work, in their work car since
- 4:35Speaker 1: it sounds like their whole crew went in the same
- 4:37Speaker 1: car most of the time. But I wouldn't say super
- 4:39Speaker 1: consistently because it wasn't a topic I really contributed much on. Question,
- 4:44Speaker 1: how about Charlie Kirk? Did he ever talk about Charlie Kirk? Answer,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I personally had never heard him talk about Charlie Kirk
- 4:51Speaker 1: before specifically. Question, okay. How about political issues? So did
- 4:56Speaker 1: you ever talk about gender identity issues or LGBTQ issues? Answer, no,
- 5:01Speaker 1: not really. Usually, if he did talk about politics and stuff,
- 5:05Speaker 1: it was relating to Trump's policies being issued or voted on,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I think, but yeah. Question, okay. So before that, you
- 5:12Speaker 1: have been? Answer, uh-huh, for a short time. Question, okay.
- 5:16Speaker 1: And I understand that you were going by Luna at
- 5:18Speaker 1: some point. Answer, to some people, yeah, but not as
- 5:21Speaker 1: an overall thing. Question, okay, okay, I think that's all
- 5:25Speaker 1: the questions I have for this portion. Let me check
- 5:27Speaker 1: and see if I missed something. Okay, the Dremel that
- 5:30Speaker 1: you talked about, you said he asked you for that,
- 5:33Speaker 1: is that right? Answer, uh-huh. Question, and he told you
- 5:36Speaker 1: that it was to inscribe bullets? Answer, yeah. Question, and
- 5:40Speaker 1: so did you have a Dremel then? Answer, yeah, okay,
- 5:43Speaker 1: at our apartment. We had a section where we kept
- 5:46Speaker 1: all of our random tools for household stuff in our
- 5:48Speaker 1: lower basement level pantry, so yeah. Question, okay, and did
- 5:52Speaker 1: you give it to him or tell him where it was? Answer,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I just told him where it was, yeah. Question, okay,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I'm going to go ahead and end the recording for
- 6:00Speaker 1: 1102 purposes. Judge Graff, all right, that concludes State's Exhibit 16. Ms. Hunt,
- 6:07Speaker 1: thank you, Judge. Agent Davis, I asked you yesterday, but
- 6:10Speaker 1: I want to remind you, the court and those present,
- 6:12Speaker 1: Were you physically present in an interview we just watched
- 6:15Speaker 1: in State Exhibit 16? Answer, yes, I was there. And
- 6:19Speaker 1: this is the state doing the questioning. And aside from
- 6:21Speaker 1: the court-ordered redaction, did it appear to you to be
- 6:24Speaker 1: fair and accurate about what you remember that interview that day? Answer, yes, yes,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I do. Question, during that interview, did Mr. Twiggs, was
- 6:32Speaker 1: he shown or referenced certain items of evidence? Answer, yes,
- 6:36Speaker 1: he was. Question, what types of evidence was he shown? Answer,
- 6:41Speaker 1: it was text messages between himself and Tyler Robinson, a
- 6:44Speaker 1: Discord chat message, and a handwritten note. Question, and then,
- 6:48Speaker 1: we also saw in the video, he was also shown
- 6:50Speaker 1: the FBI press release photos of the potential suspect. Answer,
- 6:54Speaker 1: that is correct, yes. Question, have you reviewed all of
- 6:57Speaker 1: those items as part of the investigation? Answer, yes, I have. Question,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you're familiar with them. Answer, yes. Question, all right. I
- 7:06Speaker 1: want to just put that on the witness screen, what's
- 7:07Speaker 1: been marked for identification as State Exhibit No. 16-1. And
- 7:12Speaker 1: for the record, this includes the one edit that the
- 7:14Speaker 1: court previously ordered. Judge Graff, thank you. Prosecution, let me
- 7:19Speaker 1: know when you see that on the screen. Agent Davis,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I see it now. Prosecution, do you recognize this? Answer,
- 7:25Speaker 1: yes I do. Question, what is it? Answer, this is
- 7:29Speaker 1: a photograph of screenshots of text messages between Tyler Robinson
- 7:33Speaker 1: and Lance Twiggs. This is a photograph of Lance's phone. Question,
- 7:38Speaker 1: so sorry, you said photograph, you also said screenshot. Can
- 7:41Speaker 1: you differentiate here or clarify there? Davis, yeah, sorry, yeah,
- 7:46Speaker 1: these are photographs directly from Lance's phone. Question, how do
- 7:49Speaker 1: you know that? Answer, in Lance's first interview, he's showing
- 7:53Speaker 1: the FBI agents these text messages, describes them to the agents,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and at the time his phone was photographed. Question, and
- 8:00Speaker 1: you testified, I believe... Yesterday that Mr. Twiggs' first interview
- 8:03Speaker 1: was the morning of September 12th, 2025. Is that correct? Answer,
- 8:08Speaker 1: that's correct, yes. Question, were you physically present at that interview? Answer, no,
- 8:14Speaker 1: I was not there. Question, have you spoken with the
- 8:16Speaker 1: officers or agents that were? Answer, yes, I've spoken to
- 8:21Speaker 1: one of the agents that was there. Question, and you
- 8:23Speaker 1: stated that first September 12th interview of Mr. Twiggs was recorded? Answer, yes,
- 8:29Speaker 1: audio video recorded. Question, have you reviewed that recording? Answer, yes,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I have. Question, so you stated that you were looking
- 8:37Speaker 1: at State Exhibit 16-1, had a picture of Mr. Twiggs' phone? Answer, yes. Question,
- 8:43Speaker 1: do you know who took those photos? Answer, yeah, it
- 8:46Speaker 1: was Agent Larson with FBI. Question, did you speak with
- 8:49Speaker 1: Agent Larson and confirm that? Answer, I did. Question, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: you kind of made reference to this already, but how
- 8:57Speaker 1: did Mr. Twiggs initially show law enforcement the relevant messages? Answer, yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 1: during the first interview on September 12th, physically he shows
- 9:04Speaker 1: them the phone and then allows them to photograph the phone.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And does he identify it as his phone in that interview? Answer, yes,
- 9:11Speaker 1: he does. Question, does he refer to any particular feature
- 9:14Speaker 1: of the phone that allows him to make that identification? Answer,
- 9:18Speaker 1: the second interview, he refers to a large crack in
- 9:21Speaker 1: the upper left screen. So he identifies that from a
- 9:24Speaker 1: second interview that was given on April 20th. Question, and
- 9:28Speaker 1: according to your review, of the recording of his first
- 9:31Speaker 1: interview and the speaking with the agents that were there.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Did he have his personal phone with him at the
- 9:36Speaker 1: time of the September 12th interview? Answer, yes, he did. Question,
- 9:40Speaker 1: and was this the same text thread that we're seeing
- 9:43Speaker 1: in the state exhibit 16-1 shown to him during his
- 9:46Speaker 1: second interview? Sorry, let me get the date right. April 20th,
- 9:49Speaker 1: 2026 at the Utah County Attorney's Office that we just
- 9:53Speaker 1: observed part in the state exhibit 16? Answer, yes, it
- 9:57Speaker 1: was shown to him. Question, was he asked how Tyler
- 10:00Speaker 1: Robinson is saved in his phone as a contact? Answer, yeah,
- 10:04Speaker 1: just as Tyler. Question, without saying it, obviously, did he
- 10:08Speaker 1: identify Tyler Robinson's phone number? Answer, yes, he did. Question,
- 10:12Speaker 1: did you check the number that Mr. Twiggs gave as
- 10:15Speaker 1: Tyler Robinson's phone number against law enforcement records? Answer, yes,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I did. Question, and do they match? Answer, yes, they match. Question,
- 10:26Speaker 1: is State Exhibit 16-1 a fair and accurate representation of
- 10:29Speaker 1: the text thread between, or the relevant text, between Mr.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Twiggs and Mr. Robinson? Answer, yes, it is. Question, as
- 10:38Speaker 1: part of the investigation, was Celebrite extraction performed on Mr.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Twiggs' phone? Answer, yes, it was. Question, did you personally
- 10:45Speaker 1: review that extraction? Answer, yes, I have. Question, and according
- 10:49Speaker 1: to that extraction, did Mr. Robinson and Mr. Twiggs exchange
- 10:53Speaker 1: text messages on September 10th through 11th, 2025? Answer, yes,
- 10:57Speaker 1: they did. Question, what time was the first text sent
- 11:01Speaker 1: according to the Celebrite extraction? Answer, the first text was
- 11:05Speaker 1: September 10th at 11 p.m. Prosecution, all right, Judge, I
- 11:10Speaker 1: would move to admit State Exhibit 16.1 and then pursuant
- 11:13Speaker 1: to the court order, I would move to publish it
- 11:16Speaker 1: to the monitors. All right, folks, we're going to wrap
- 11:18Speaker 1: up right here. And in the next episode dealing with
- 11:20Speaker 1: the topic, we're going to pick up where we left off.
- 11:23Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
- 11:26Speaker 1: found in the description box.
