  How does tarot work? When you work with the tarot, or if you seek a tarot reading

  from a reader, you open up a communication channel with the spirit realms.

  Reading for yourself or for someone else, you essentially tap into the energy

  Tarot is a highly eloquent, symbolic language, which makes it an excellent translator

  However, as I said before, tarot taps into the present energies surrounding the questioner.

  If the questioner changes their path or even simply changes their mindset regarding

  can also change based on the impact of free will.

  Basically, you can change your fate. That's the power of human free will. We can change our fates.

  So tarot can predict based on current energies and past energies surrounding

  a question in a reading, the likely trajectory of events, but that can also change,

  So where did the tarot come from? There's a lot of controversy around this question,

  but here's my take on the true origins of tarot.

  It began as a card game called Taroki in late medieval Europe.

  Its transition from a card game to divination began in France,

  with figures like Antoine Cour de Gabelon, forgive my French,

  who linked tarot to ancient Egyptian wisdom.

  But beware, the ancient Egyptian origin claims are highly questionable.

  In the 1880s, the Order of the Golden Dawn integrated tarot into a complex system
• 3:27
  of hermetic Kabbalah, astrology, and magic, thereby using it for spiritual advancement,

  not just for fortune-telling.

  The Golden Dawn transformed tarot into a powerful instrument for ceremonial
• 3:39
  magic, spiritual development, and esoteric study within the Western magical tradition.

  As you probably guessed, this is my chosen tarot tradition.

  Can tarot connect with spirits and spirit realms?

  During a tarot reading, you also connect with your own spirit team for a conference call.

  Everybody has a spirit team, which includes your spirit guides,

  guardian angels, ancestors, so on and so forth.

  Therefore, tarot reading is also a form of spirit communication.

  Most folks don't think of tarot cards as a device for spirit communication.

  When people think of spirit communication, oftentimes it conjures up images

  After more than two decades of studying and reading tarot for myself,

  I can assure you that tarot readings involve conversations with spirits.

  Sometimes the conversation is a highly personal one, with your own higher self,

  or tapping into another person's own spirit.

  But other spirits join the conversation of a tarot reading too,

  and this happens more often than you might think.

  Aside from personal readings, tarot provides a highly effective means of channeling

  messages from spirits for mediumship

  purposes, or to perform divination regarding rituals and spell work.

  It's all about the intention. For example, to contact a loved one on the other

  side of the veil or to investigate a paranormal activity situation.

  channel messages from your own higher self, from your spirit guides,
