- 3:22[SPEAKER_10]: Let's compare them.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_10]: Anthony Constantino is a businessman, not a politician.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_10]: Starting with nothing, he built a successful multi-million dollar online printing company based right here in Upstate New York, employing more than 1,000 people.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_10]: The other candidate, Robert Smullen, was arrested in 2018 for the first degree felony of filing false veterans tax exemption paperwork, for which he was not qualified.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_10]: Smullen then used his political contacts to negotiate the felony charge down to the violation of disorderly conduct.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_10]: Anthony Constantino is endorsed for Congress by President Donald Trump.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_10]: Robert Smullen is endorsed by the ultra-liberal New York State Teachers Union.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_10]: The choice is clear.

- 5:04[SPEAKER_11]: That's right.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_11]: The hotline with Jeff Graham is here, and I just are gorgeous.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_11]: Monday, Wednesday, temperatures up in the 70s sunshine, and I just get out and enjoy it.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_11]: get the lawn worked on and all of that stuff so you don't get sighted by the city um we've got a guest today an old friend of the hotline who's boycotted us for some time but back and that's county health is our Stephen Jennings how are you I'm great mayor how are you good you know might if I call you zard i've been called many things a lot worse okay well uh you run the county
- 5:41[SPEAKER_11]: and you're getting a new war memorial in front of the county building we are a revolutionary war memorial.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, what did that happen?
- 5:50[SPEAKER_11]: Is that another war that Trump started or not, I don't know, not that one, no, you're here because to commemorate the landing at Normandy on June 6th you're holding a waste collection.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_13]: Well, Danck is holding a waste collection, Danck, I just wanted to come in and talk about it a little bit because we are partnering with
- 6:10[SPEAKER_13]: the Alliance for our communities, pivot, the youth Alliance for Jefferson County, Danck, and we really, it's the first time that we're going to collect vape devices and vape, like vaping.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_13]: Yep, see that.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_13]: That seemed out after I was doing something.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I don't know anything about it.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_13]: Now they're into those little things here.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_13]: She went a little bag.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_13]: It's not zen.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_13]: The pouches.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_13]: That's a problem too.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_13]: Vaped devices.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_13]: Most people when they're done with them throw them out.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_13]: It's not good to put them in landfills or toxic.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_13]: We want people to bring them in to this collection site and every future collection site.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_13]: The next one will be in October in Jefferson County.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_13]: and dispose of them properly.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_13]: And it's a good day, you know, people can use it as or quit day if they want to quit vaping because we really want people to quit vaping.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_13]: I'm not good for their help.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_13]: They could do that, but regardless, bring in your devices to that event.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_13]: And I can share with you... Where is it?
- 7:15[SPEAKER_11]: So it's County Route 190.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_11]: Where's it?
- 7:17[SPEAKER_13]: It's the county barn out on... One part?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_13]: That's the collection site.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_11]: No, okay.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_11]: Sure, they just put that on.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_13]: I know, yeah, but most people know where it is.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_13]: I've been to it several times.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_13]: Why don't word it in your word?
- 7:31[SPEAKER_13]: You ever know we're cloudy with one night?
- 7:33[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_13]: Well, it's probably what you put into your GPS.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_13]: Just some stats for people on vaping and cigarette smoking, cigarette smoking and the county is declining, but vape use is increasing about 20% of adults in Jefferson County smoke or vape, and that's 10% higher, greater than 10% higher than New York State, greater than 6% higher than the nation, so we have a lot of
- 8:01[SPEAKER_13]: smoking and vaping going on in our county.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_13]: Youth vaping, which we monitor in assess, is declining, but what is not declining is youth vaping from 7th to 12th grade, which we look at, every year it's increasing, even though overall it's declining.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_13]: So we don't want youth to vape, and if they've started, we want them to quit, and we have a lot of projects going on to impact that.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_13]: All right, you're just like everybody's nanny aren't you don't know what to do Listen, I this baby just want them to be healthy and live long successful lives mayor right, but vaping.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_11]: I don't
- 8:43[SPEAKER_13]: you see people doing it and it's sort of presented like a harmless thing it is but it's very harmful so if it's toxic, why is it being sold exactly because it's marketed now is that it's sold eager it's legal it's sold the kids they're they're using the same tactics as the tobacco industry used to target kids they're using flavors and so kids are going after them like the flavors adults like the flavors too
- 9:12[SPEAKER_13]: but you're ruining your body and the damage is permanent.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_11]: Top porn long, right?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, the view?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_11]: I like top porn.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_13]: And we're seeing it happening in young people and pulmonary cardiovascular disease cancer.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_11]: But what are these sensing?
- 9:29[SPEAKER_13]: That's different.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_13]: It's a nicotine pouch that you put in your mouth.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_13]: And it has...
- 9:34[SPEAKER_13]: I...
- 9:36[SPEAKER_13]: It's kind of like shards of a little tiny glass so that it can open your skin inside your mouth and so the nicotine can get in and People a lot of people like that.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_13]: We were we want to try to stop that to a lot of kids are using by that in the store.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_11]: True.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah
- 9:57[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, they sit there and have all these rules for what you can have and not have.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_13]: And then, well, there's no really rules.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_13]: I mean, you preach against things.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_11]: I remember when from substance abuse.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, I need to see free browns.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_11]: You used to come in on rail against marijuana now, the state's promoting them.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_13]: I know they are.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_13]: We still don't support that.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_11]: And we've been growing it indoors here in the city, right?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_13]: People are doing that.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_13]: We don't support it because there's a health impact and that's a verse and we want people to be healthy.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_11]: Right.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_11]: So.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I do too.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_13]: There's no rules, Mayor.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_13]: I know you don't like the rules and people don't do that, but our job is to educate them on the health impact and convince them that there's a healthier way to live.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_11]: We have the illusion limiting this to 21-year-olds when we know it's pervasive and other ages.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_11]: Now what about in the schools, what goes on there?
- 10:57[SPEAKER_13]: Well, kids are vaping in school.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_13]: Schools are taking the vapes away.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_13]: We're actually communication with them all the time about it.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_08]: They operate on a battery.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_13]: And they can hide it.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_13]: It could be like, there's all kinds of ways.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_13]: There's all kinds of devices kids can use.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_13]: And there's smoke list of devices that they can use.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_13]: So no one would ever know they're necessarily vaping.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_13]: But why doesn't the state ban the sale of it?
- 11:33[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_13]: Good question.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_13]: I mean, that's usually your thing or yeah, they've never been the sale of tobacco.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_13]: Well, no, but they've taxed it.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_11]: They've taxed it, but then a place is open to sell five dollar-packed cigarette.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_11]: Nobody says anything.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_13]: Well, we've made great inroads in getting people not to smoke, even though our numbers are not where we want them to be.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_13]: No, I noticed that nationally it's just fallen tremendously.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_11]: No doubt about it.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_11]: So, well, that's good, and not just vaping products, you can get rid of, but also everything.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_11]: Hane, polishes, waxes, pool chemicals.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_11]: Yep.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_11]: Also a cleaning product, once you clean your house with them first, that's what I would say.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_13]: Dry voice sealers, wood preservatives, corrosive, home chemistry sets, some of the little bottles, like sulfur, I do, you see them, yeah.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_11]: Used to make, I don't know what we made with them.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_11]: Erisol canes containing product.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_11]: and products containing mercury right i told you before the show when i was in high school they had a beaker of mercury on the science desk yeah and you could play with it yeah what you finger in it yeah if that's not done any more i don't think so oh what's the problem with mercury yeah well it's a toxin and it will kill you oh i guess they weren't thinking of that back in those days go
- 12:55[SPEAKER_11]: Well, that's good.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_11]: So this thing goes on June 6th from 8 to noon, correct.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_11]: Over at the county barn in Glen Park.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_11]: That's West Main Street.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_13]: If you're going out that way and in dank has on their website a list of items that they will not accept.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_13]: So people should go look at that.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_11]: So they start accepting recyclables.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_11]: I'm so tired of hearing about this, I mean, source separation, one sense of this county does.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_11]: And then you talk to a county legislator.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, no, it's great, you know.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_11]: But then you talk to people in the trash industry and they say, there's no place else in America that does source separately.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_13]: don't mean to get you on to that, but that's important, when you're talking to your buddies at bank, banks would come in and talk to you, man.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, well, they're too, they're in a higher social stradden, we are, they don't come down to wealth at Avenue.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_11]: So anyway, okay, well, that's good, and anything else about that, we should know.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_13]: That is it.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_13]: We just encourage people to attend and again, it's the first time they're collecting vape just devices and they're going to continue to do it and we're going to do it and we're going to don't they have vape support?
- 14:11[SPEAKER_13]: Detectors and they do a lot of that work.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_13]: Well, it's in the bathroom so they can be alerted if there's something going on.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_11]: Right next the litter box.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_13]: I've never heard of letterboxes in the schools.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I've heard of them a lot of people, but I don't want to...
- 14:31[SPEAKER_13]: I think that's not true.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_13]: It's an urban legend.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_13]: I think it's an urban legend.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_11]: Well, anyway, don't... don't fap.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_11]: And... Yeah, once in a while.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_11]: We don't get it too much.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_11]: Once in a while, sir.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_06]: Can I fapen you?
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_11]: I know, yeah.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_11]: No, it's like... No.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_11]: One good thing about 2004 indoor smoking act was...
- 14:53[SPEAKER_11]: I made it a lot easier to keep a police clean.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_11]: Oh yeah, I'll tell you that it was yellow on every up, and I don't most people have either quit or adapted.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_11]: They go outside without arguing.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_13]: Well, even growing up, and when everybody smoked, I mean it would just be, you have to do like a renovation occasionally to get the house cleaned.
- 15:16[UNKNOWN]: I mean,
- 15:16[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, used to be a good going to supermarket, have a cigarette in your mouth and you pick through the vegetables.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_11]: Where you go to the doctor's office and after you've done your both light up a cigarette.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_13]: You could smoke at work.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_13]: That's great.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_13]: It was crazy.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_11]: It really was.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_11]: And somebody, I'm not going to get in a COVID, geez, come on.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_11]: We'll talk about other hope.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_13]: You can ask me whatever you want, Mayor.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_11]: All right, well, we're going to do a commercial break and then I'm going to come back and ask you about I'll give you a hint Ebola all right.

- 19:49[SPEAKER_13]: 10 years?
- 19:50[SPEAKER_13]: 20, 7, 10.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_13]: Wow.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, almost, I knew you missed it.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_13]: I liked the job, but it was often thankless, I'll be honest, I mean people just so much negativity and they didn't like what you were doing and
- 20:11[SPEAKER_13]: Like denying those kids on the side of McDonald's, which I voted for, I would still vote for it, man.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_13]: It voted against the song.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_13]: I voted against it, yeah.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I did, because I was the last one to vote and everybody, I just...
- 20:25[SPEAKER_13]: I don't think we need to make Donald's on the education and healthcare corridor of the city.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_13]: You got a donut shop there.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_13]: Coffee's good for you.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I don't know.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_13]: What's wrong with McDonald's?
- 20:39[SPEAKER_13]: That's just not good for you.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_13]: If you look at the content in their food and you look at the calories, is that good?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_11]: There's a lot of things people buy that aren't good.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_13]: And they market to children, of course.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_11]: Well, now we've got what the garage restaurant is.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_13]: That's fine.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_13]: In a few times.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_11]: Shannon, you know Shannon.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_13]: And I'm not against McDonald's but not there.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_13]: and the people around it didn't want it either who live or owned up.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_11]: Then the embies, not my bad yard.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_11]: And that's one of the things I found you run into.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_11]: I look at that Stuart shaft, it's it.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_11]: Flower and Washington.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_11]: Beautiful.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_11]: Neighbors love it.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_11]: Even Jeff Smith goes over there for coffee, but you thought it.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_13]: Because they take care of their property.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_13]: Right.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_13]: It's a good business.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_11]: Because what we're there before was a couple of abandoned, dilapidated houses.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_11]: And now you've got something that's probably assessed for a million or more.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_11]: Who knows?
- 21:42[SPEAKER_13]: It's good for the city.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_11]: Same thing with the one on coffee, and that's very nice looking.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_11]: And as
- 21:51[SPEAKER_13]: You know, as much as people want to say not in my backyard or sometimes it's good.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_11]: Because I remember years ago, before your time, Jerry Hiller was city manager.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_11]: He told me, because we were talking about additional housing.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_11]: He said, how is he fine?
- 22:06[SPEAKER_11]: But as a municipality, you want commercial property because of the excess as well.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_11]: And like I'm a Donald's, it's probably a probably $2 billion assessment.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_13]: Whereas that garage, the city near now, nice people I'm sure run it with, you know, not one thing, right?
- 22:22[SPEAKER_11]: So you undercut the tank space.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_13]: or save lives now you follows you've been inside outside city hall as I have all of as you follow it
- 22:37[SPEAKER_11]: What do you think of the way things are now?
- 22:39[SPEAKER_11]: Unless, since you're left.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, since I left.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_13]: Pretty turbulent.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_13]: It's been turbulent, rollercoaster.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_13]: You know, I just, and I felt that when I was there, people don't vote.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_13]: We just for the numbers of people who are registered out in the city and they don't.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_13]: It's a polling, so they're not engaged.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_13]: Until they feel something bothers them enough where they want to be engaged.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_13]: So I found that disheartening and then I think what happens is people get in what happened in the last council as a result of people not being engaged in my opinion because if they
- 23:30[SPEAKER_11]: Well, the whole thing, I hate to bring up the golf course, but it's the sadness, the second pool we didn't need, but now we've got an empty pool over here on the cross of street.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_11]: But the golf course, aside from even the price, you took property off the tax rules, you gave away the rent, and now the city's absorbing the operating cost, which is part of being in government.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_13]: You think the city got bamboozled on it?
- 24:02[SPEAKER_13]: Oh gosh, yes.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, whose fault is it?
- 24:08[SPEAKER_13]: The expanse is just outrageous.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's clear for all these fault.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_13]: We can, well, a majority voted for it.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_13]: We considered buying it when I was in council and we got our, you know, what handed to us.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_13]: And we were gonna buy it just for the assess value.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_13]: And I was either, you were not, okay.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_13]: I think it's one of the reasons I lost contributed to that, because people use that issue against me.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_13]: You wanted to buy it.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_13]: for the assessed value not $3 million right with it is going to be like 600,000 as I recall.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_13]: Okay, and you figured the city could have thought I was persuaded by you know keep it keep it into in the park and make it whole all those kinds of arguments but
- 25:02[SPEAKER_13]: I changed my opinion after that election.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I was on the, I was of the opinion, sell it.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, and then I came to the tax rules.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_11]: It's not just I understand it, and I was getting sick at the time, so I, I, uh, cognitive abilities were impaired.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_11]: But what people have told me is that the city changed the zoning up there, because they were trying to not, so nobody could build a house up there, on the part of it that was privately owned.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_11]: And that effectively devalued the property for Mr. Wundig.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_11]: And so he wanted a rid of it at that point.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_11]: And there's not too many people lining up to buy that type of property.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_13]: Right.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_11]: And the deal was facilitated.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_11]: And they sold it.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_11]: I think mix was for it, make the park hole.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_13]: That's what they convinced the council for that price.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, that's where the problem was.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, and now they say it's losing money.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_11]: You know, I could sit there and say the county health department loses money in a sense, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have one.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, right.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, you could say that about a lot of things.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_11]: So I never like that argument.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_11]: They always try that out.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_11]: Get with refuse collection.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_13]: Try that argument out.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, it's losing money because, oh, no, we got to get rid of it.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_11]: Well, a lot of government inherited.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, but anywhere you can ring out revenue is good too.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_13]: I mean selling the name of the arena.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_13]: Maybe, yeah.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_13]: Wouldn't it be good to name it after somebody important like Thomas Jefferson?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, that would be a good name for him.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_11]: Okay, we got a call, so somebody wants to be up here.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_11]: But after noon, you're on the air.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_04]: Good afternoon Jeff.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks for having Steve on the line.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_04]: There was he got his headphones on the light.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_13]: He can hear you.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_13]: I do, sir.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, thanks for coming on Steve.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_04]: Can you address and I'll take your answer off the air.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_04]: You address the increasingly high level or incidents of mental illness in this part of the country.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_04]: Especially Jefferson County here.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_04]: And I'll get off the air.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_04]: Keep up the good work.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_11]: All right, well, thank you.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, it's more of it.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_13]: I think there is.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_13]: It seems evident that there's more of it.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_13]: It's the whole de-institutionalization
- 27:27[SPEAKER_13]: uh... our system which has been happening over many many years and uh... no people who have it's a frantic people in their family or people with real problems and some people in the system doesn't spot right in some people actually can manage it's successfully and they utilize resources well and then some people do not i think that's what we're seeing on our streets and uh... it's to me it's not just a drug issue on the street
- 27:58[SPEAKER_13]: So, in terms of numbers, I can't answer that question that would be for County Mental Health Timberton, but it seems we're seeing it on the streets more and more.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_13]: So other forms of research, Ebola is in the news.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_13]: It is.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I've said a fact, Josh, that's an African thing.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_13]: It affects us because we're a border county.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_13]: And we have a significant crossing from up and out of San Diego Bay, from Canada.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_13]: And so we, the order from the CDC came out on May 18th to not let citizens in from the Congo, Sudan, or Uganda, where Ebola is happening, but anybody who travels through those country, like a very U.S. citizen, they will gain entry back into the United States.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_13]: contract with tiers.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_13]: It's our responsibility to screen these folks for the CDC if we're called upon to do it by the border.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_13]: How we did it last time, which was before our COVID and we had 28 individuals present at the border who needed to be screened, they all passed.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_13]: We used tiers to do it because they're right there and they're 24 or 7 and they can be up there.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_13]: I renewed that contract in actually in late 2024 and so happy I did so they're going to do that for us and we'll be notified we'll keep track of what's going on and but in the meantime Canada has implemented very tight restrictions too so we have a sense that maybe this will be better.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_13]: There are also shabbarding people coming back to the United States who traveled through these countries through the airport, the designated airport ports of entry, which are JFK, Atlanta, and Houston, and so trying to
- 30:10[SPEAKER_13]: Um, you know, put people in a very narrow pipeline right we can make sure they're now got the Olympic We're not the Olympics with the high world.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_13]: I mean, yeah, we're very worried about it because it was going to be cross border travel with players from people from all over the world.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_13]: So, um, so how do you get it?
- 30:29[SPEAKER_11]: It's not like there was screaming during COVID.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_13]: Coffee, something.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_11]: You got to have.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_13]: It's better.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, you have to have very close personal contacts, not airborne like COVID.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_13]: So, people who are taking care of people who have a very, very high risk.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_13]: It's a new strain of Ebola.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_13]: The other strains have vaccines.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_13]: This one does not.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_13]: And it was missed in these countries.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_13]: It wasn't identified quick enough.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_13]: These are pretty rough places.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, it's well, it's Africa.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_13]: It's not exactly that.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_13]: The ventilator sources are as prevalent as here, as I'm going to say it.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_13]: So, it's not starting.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_11]: Man, a place where they were keeping over and then they burned up all of it.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, as a way to try to control it.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_13]: It doesn't do any good.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_13]: All right.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_13]: Who knows?
- 31:25[SPEAKER_13]: Who knows?
- 31:26[SPEAKER_13]: It's not something we would do in the United States.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_11]: I don't think.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, in this day and age, the numbers have been revised in these countries downward because they are really doing more intensive screening on folks who may have previously, previously they thought they were diagnosed with that and are now considered not infected with that.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_13]: So we're going to make this
- 31:58[SPEAKER_13]: So I hope you'll listen to me if you're ever thrilled.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I stay away from people.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_11]: I don't need it.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_13]: We're trying very hard to work with our border colleagues to keep control, keep an eye on them.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_11]: Any other diseases that are ravaging Jefferson County?
- 32:15[SPEAKER_13]: Our main disease is respiratory, and our, so in our last season, huge amounts of influenza COVID, we still have, we and RSV, we're now measuring.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_13]: We still have people dying from COVID, the death certificates come to the office.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_13]: I request to look at all of them because I just want to see what's going on.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_13]: of late they all have comorbidities that you know they but what killed them was coven so it's still out there it still can and lives but the variance there's thousands of variance of it now and the vaccine will be built same as slew up based on the dominant ones so we can try to control it that way but it's in my opinion
- 33:06[SPEAKER_13]: Well, that's good to hear.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_11]: What about all the old saws of the health business, all of the binereal diseases in the world?
- 33:12[SPEAKER_13]: Our second high has not allowed to save an area.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_13]: We say STIs, sexually transmitted infections, gonorrhea, clementia, or the highest, and syphilis, and Anandaga County is really growing.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_13]: We have cases here too.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_13]: That's our second high-escommunicable disease.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_13]: So we obviously want to educate about that.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_13]: we're a county that really promotes testing so our rates are higher but we're getting people treated and we hope we're stopping it's that antibiotics different antibiotics yep yep I take some every day forever well that's that helped me I don't think so keep the syphilist away I think you need a stronger one alright 755 1240 the phone number

- 39:19[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I don't even get to the water town.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_11]: I you know, after that that big spill up at the marks farm, I was more worried about my water than.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, remember that you were a marathon?
- 39:28[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but it wasn't my fault.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_13]: Oh, well, there was the one right outside the city.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_13]: Mark's farm was going to put in another lagoon right next to the black river.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_13]: uh... for you may or then we got wind of it on the march was a very well yeah i know but they but they have land everywhere yeah and uh... we stop at yeah that was a uh... boom or something gave way and boom right into the black river right above the right just north of the city yeah the one and a half and a lot of it all every fish and a part of the river was dead yeah by the time they got the water town he said which kind of river cleansed yeah rivers do cleanse themselves yeah
- 40:10[SPEAKER_13]: I didn't see you out there for anything so far enough down.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_11]: Well, anyway, what do you think of all the 60s, 70 million dollars on doing the water plan for disinfecting byproducts that most people don't know what they are and apparently were within levels now?
- 40:29[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, I know it's your crafts like to spend money, other people.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_13]: Well, we want healthy water.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, most people don't drink the water anymore.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_13]: I do really.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, you don't drink it.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_13]: Well, only if I go through a moment, but I do at home.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I joke out of the gun.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_11]: That's city water.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_11]: So I have to have it contaminated by some corporate syrup or something or I don't want to drink it.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_11]: That's a mess.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_11]: Water coming out of there.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_11]: Was that our fault for not doing it?
- 41:09[SPEAKER_11]: People always say that was your fault, meaning me, or not doing something.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know why don't we call this thing.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_13]: I just think infrastructure ages, and you know, you want to be proactive, but sometimes you got to be, we're forced to be reactive like that.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_11]: Now that building they're taking down to use to go to meetings there.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, Cornell, Cooperative Extension was in that building.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_13]: You're talking to JB Wise.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, North Country Children's Clinic offices were upstairs.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_13]: So I spent a lot of time in that building.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_13]: It was an old building, but it was the offices were nice.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, when you said they're going to all of a sudden, you woke up one day and you said, oh, we're going to chair it down.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_13]: It's an emergency.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_11]: And you've got to approve this funding for it or else.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_11]: And they do definitely get it.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_13]: But, uh, so I sort of voted no one.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_13]: I saw the picture of the roof.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know how bad it is inside.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_13]: I, what you know, you got a side looks all right.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_11]: We got all these, they don't we say that, not the professionals, the municipal administrators agencies and all that.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_11]: When you've got a building like that, it was clearly abandoned by your over-wronged.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_11]: And there's signs of abandonment.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_11]: You've got leans against it.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_11]: Don't you have some obligation to protect the collateral?
- 42:38[SPEAKER_11]: And in fact, I mean, I think landlords, you would have that right as a leanholder or you could get a court order.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_13]: but all of a sudden for them to say one morning they all of a sudden we noticed a hole in a roof yeah this particular property owner has a band i mean lofty area i believe well i know i know but i mean property remains somebody's got it i would keep an eye on it i don't know why they're not going after her or well i think she's in Hawaii or something well we're wherever
- 43:10[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's hard to go there, you know, although we could probably send some lawyers over the 400 bucks an hour, but it just seems to me, you know, it's not just this, it's the house on coffee industry with a vet body, there's the, um,
- 43:26[SPEAKER_11]: You know, how is this the burn set for months?
- 43:29[SPEAKER_13]: Well, so all of that when I was in council tried to be proactive and tried to prevent some of this stuff with policy change and people did not want to hear it.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_13]: And I think the day of rocketing always comes and now we have these problems are just going to keep growing.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_11]: So some potential ones they're trying to sell the blue apartment building.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_13]: For 600,000.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, I know I saw that.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, I hope PT Barnham's right and the soccer is born every minute because that's outrageous.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_11]: But that's a place where people were allowed in 31 units in that little building.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_11]: you can do the math.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_11]: And they had apartments down in the basement.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_11]: No windows, no means of egress and everything.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_11]: And we talk every day about codes this and codes that.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_11]: We worry about somebody with a little sign or piece of fence or drake or somebody like that.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_11]: And these things just go on.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_11]: Those people should not be living in smaller.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_13]: Mary, you're pulling everything out of that
- 44:38[SPEAKER_13]: it's just frustrated it is but i think the answer is change the philosophy be proactive and uh... you know people don't like proactive but that's how we avoid a lot of these problems yeah now do you think we talked about it before but
- 44:59[SPEAKER_11]: Regulating or running things in a city, I think is being part of the city, it's culture and so on.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_11]: And I know everybody, all these departments, and live outside the city are all nice people.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_11]: I'll stipulate to that.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_11]: But I really question whether they have any feel for the community and the problems.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know how you can have that house on graphing street for so long.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_11]: say, well, we've noticed, didn't notice, pre-grown to the roof, didn't notice it.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, part of living here is a driver on your seat thanks.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_11]: And I know what I was terrified to see something all the roof, I call in the sun here, or somebody in teller, relay it to me at the power of the B.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_11]: But I just don't see any sense of involvement from city hall with the actual people who remain here, the 23,000, or remain of which you're one of,
- 45:52[SPEAKER_13]: I am.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_13]: And I look around and I'm concerned about what I see.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_13]: I, you know, councils adopt the philosophy of where people are going to live in terms of management, etc.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_11]: So I, I don't know, for this be the beginning of a Chinese for mayor.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_13]: I don't think so, mayor.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_13]: I'm,
- 46:21[SPEAKER_13]: You know, people say that.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_11]: I just don't know if I'm physically up to it.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_11]: I think mentally I am.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you love the job.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_11]: I did.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_13]: And it's fun.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_13]: And, um... Well, I wouldn't roll it out, Mayor.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_13]: Feel for you.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_11]: For me.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_13]: Okay, you're totally fine.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_11]: You'd consider.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_13]: Okay.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_13]: All right.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_13]: Even though I...
- 46:46[SPEAKER_13]: Does that do anything to convince you?
- 46:49[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_11]: Um, well, anyway, 755, 1240s.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_11]: Of course, our phone number and, um, one of their cities.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, um, pools.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_13]: What do you think of pools?
- 47:04[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I wasn't for renovating them because of the costs.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_13]: It's out there, but now we've got them and, uh, got three of them.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, you don't want it.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_13]: What do you do with the one down right now?
- 47:16[SPEAKER_13]: Take it all the ground.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I think they need a plan.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_13]: for something.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_13]: I mean there were they were going to take it out this year but they didn't want to expand the money on it but it's sitting there's never going to be used if they're going to be commissioned at then what does that become?
- 47:30[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_11]: I mean I remember Vancouver on 2014 or something or it's talk about when they closed the Thomson Art Pool and it started decommissioning and oh my god it entered that you know and it was easy to
- 47:51[SPEAKER_11]: I guess having the one in the park, I'm comfortable with we did not need that one on the other side.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_13]: I know, but they built up.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_13]: And that isn't where you're going to save money, they've got to address, what's the biggest part of the budget?
- 48:06[SPEAKER_11]: Payroll.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_13]: Payroll.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_13]: That's what has to be addressed.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_13]: Nobody wants to touch it, but they've got to do that.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_11]: They just gave themselves a raise.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_11]: Well, they were making a big app to address that.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_13]: Where can they ring out efficiency?
- 48:21[SPEAKER_11]: The number of, let me guess it was, keep on going.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_11]: Monica, we got the numbers on the number of six figure sellers.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, it's probably true with the county building.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_13]: I think you've got to look at the workload and see where things can be made more efficient and less costly.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_13]: And more of them, the salaries.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_13]: And how can we do things with less people?
- 48:41[SPEAKER_13]: And do it in a compassionate way.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_13]: I've always been,
- 48:45[SPEAKER_13]: in favor of attrition, not just.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_13]: But, you know, is that they're going to come where we've got to do something drastic?
- 48:55[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I haven't heard for instance.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_13]: Other cities and counties do that, and to me, you shouldn't want to get to that point.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_11]: Well, what you do at that point is you hope for a state bailout.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_13]: And, well, and that does happen.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, they send money down.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_13]: But, on the other hand,
- 49:13[SPEAKER_13]: You look at 2030, the end of the hydrocontract.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_11]: And I assume you're still familiar with it.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, it's a day of reckoning.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_13]: And we tried to address that, and nobody wanted to do it.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_13]: They didn't want to do anything.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_11]: And I don't see any credible as part of that as energy conservation, because as you know, the cities energy needs are subtracted from the production.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_11]: So the city hasn't not just the excess power revenue, but they have cheap electricity for the buildings.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_11]: I don't see any credible energy conservation program, or nobody's talked about it.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_13]: And as far as, I'm going to do anything with that.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_11]: All these schemes that come up with this and that for the plant, the fact of the matter is, you had inflated prices for 30 years.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_11]: from national grid.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_11]: It was deferred compensation for the city staying out of the thing like winning the lottery.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_11]: And rather than that accruing to the public, in terms of lower bills, that accrued the city hall.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_11]: So we could keep her fire departments and all the cops.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_11]: You know, people make an 150 year.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_13]: I'm doing all that can be maintained if the people want to pay for it.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_13]: But the day that contract ends.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_13]: and the tax bills skyrocket.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_13]: About 40% increase to keep it all going.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_13]: I mean, maybe people are gonna wake up.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_13]: I think people aren't even paying attention to the high drought.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_11]: Well, because they've been told, they say, oh, let's just renegotiate that with grid.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_13]: Well, no, grid wants it to end.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_13]: You can't wait for it to end.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_11]: And they'd love to find a way out of it, but they can't.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_11]: And actually, in the amount we've got escalated so we'll be the final three years.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_11]: So they set up a $1.7 million dollar.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_13]: tax.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know retention found or something.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_11]: Well, so you'll blow that in a verse three months of 2031.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_11]: And let's get a handle on it.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_11]: And yeah, in all fairness, we look at the city budget, you know, the size of it, look at the school budget.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, that's crazy.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_11]: 112 million.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_13]: How many budgets through the roof?
- 51:22[SPEAKER_13]: I know most of that's welfare, but still.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_11]: There's a lot of money being spent there and don't you get annoyed every time the city's got a bill that doesn't want to pay somebody City Council say can we get the county to pay?
- 51:36[SPEAKER_11]: I mean I even get annoyed by that because I know that I'm going to
- 51:40[SPEAKER_11]: we heard that the other night on this demolition city gets title of the building under the tax right thing it's not like out in the towns were under fall county gets a hold that they're having a county sale and stuff yeah and they did a demolition out too long ago i can't remember about town
- 51:57[SPEAKER_11]: But, you know, in the city, if you get a dilapidated building, it's polite, out of the middle of the Rodman or something, it's just country living.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, it's just a house falling.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_11]: So it's a little bit different.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_13]: Um, okay.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_13]: We're going to do our last break, and I'll be back with more with Steve Jennings.

- 55:53[SPEAKER_11]: I'll remember to say it again on June 6th, which is for a Harbor Day.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_13]: As you remember, I remember that from history.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, I did learn in high school.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, college.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_11]: Is that one of the things they stopped teaching when they took up gender studies?
- 56:11[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know
- 56:14[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know either.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_13]: I loved history class and college.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_11]: Now do you think more of them in the news in California?
- 56:22[SPEAKER_11]: Computing winning all these track and field events But she's a biological male.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_11]: What do you think of all that?
- 56:32[SPEAKER_11]: Biological males playing on girls sports.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_13]: I don't have them.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, I mean an all the stuff for their
- 56:39[SPEAKER_11]: Mayor I don't know you don't want to take a position on the know it's I don't know how I feel about it either I feel you know, I don't want to I'm not a vice you know lady, but on the other hand I'm not an expert.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_13]: I you know, I'm more live and not live But then when you get in all these rules and I don't know I'm not the expert Doesn't come up in your office.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_13]: It doesn't okay.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah
- 57:04[SPEAKER_11]: It will, it will rearrange ugly head.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_11]: Don't worry.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_11]: And, um, like most things.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_11]: So, let's see, you were pretty liberal in national politics.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_11]: You're not a Trumper.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_11]: I'm not.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_11]: Kamala Harris.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_13]: I'm, I'm middle of the road.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_11]: I, who do you want to see run in 28?
- 57:25[SPEAKER_13]: Open seat of her president?
- 57:28[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, for both, oh, I think I would like to see Josh appear
- 57:33[SPEAKER_11]: Well, you know why the Democrats won't let him.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, well, I think he's a good governor and I think he's appeals broadly to both sides, which is why he keeps getting elected governor.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_11]: Now on the Republican side, they talk about JD Vance.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_11]: It's even natural progression, but then again, Marco Rubio is making a good impression on the world stage.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_11]: any preference.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_13]: I think they need to go through which should have happened last time during the Democratic side.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_13]: Through the process of having a good news.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_13]: Well, all of those folks should run in a primary and the best one wins.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_11]: It's all the hair generally uses.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_11]: Is that a talk town?
- 58:15[SPEAKER_11]: Is that good for you?
- 58:17[SPEAKER_11]: I just can't imagine putting all that grease on your head is good for you.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_11]: So
- 58:25[SPEAKER_13]: Yep, January 6th, the dank waste hazardous waste collection, for the first time I'll be collecting the vices, if I can speak.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_13]: We really encourage people to come and dispose of them properly, and if you're thinking of quitting, that would be a great quit date.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, no one gets me about those in.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_11]: These people throw them in their glass so they end up in a sink funnel, or they'll throw them in a urinal, you know, that kind of thing.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_11]: You see them, first one I saw them, it's a hell of these little things.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I'm not very hip.
