- 0:06Speaker 1: Now just was it a day or two ago we
- 0:08Speaker 1: talked about, Hey, if we could see like a group
- 0:11Speaker 1: or an artist get back together and join, who would
- 0:14Speaker 1: it want to be. I'd picked the band Oasis. Oh yeah,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Liam and Noel together. There are people who've been waiting years, decades.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was like major to try and get
- 0:25Speaker 2: like ticket that was like the Taylor swift Eras tour.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Getting tickets for that. That was like what it was
- 0:31Speaker 2: like for middle aged men.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Yeah, man, you might be you might be going.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We why they have the sleeping Beauty theme playing in
- 0:38Speaker 1: the background there.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Well, there is a man who was acting a fool.
- 0:43Speaker 1: At the at this Oasis concert essentially, and was knocked
- 0:46Speaker 1: unconscious by a security guard.
- 0:49Speaker 3: And he slept through the entire concert.
- 0:51Speaker 1: So I didn't feel like it would be appropriate to
- 0:55Speaker 1: be like, hey, was there a time you got knocked
- 0:57Speaker 1: out and slept through something? So I just want to know, Hey,
- 1:01Speaker 1: was there a time you were just really tired and
- 1:04Speaker 1: maybe you missed a big event because you were asleep?
- 1:09Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 1:13Speaker 1: The reason I asked that question is my very first
- 1:16Speaker 1: I mean very first day of radio school, which I
- 1:21Speaker 1: use in quotes there. I slept through the entire first
- 1:24Speaker 1: half of like the session. What Yeah, Because it would
- 1:28Speaker 1: go in like little sessions like three hours or the
- 1:31Speaker 1: classes you normally have like a forty five hour break
- 1:34Speaker 1: or whatever, and then three hours worth of a forty
- 1:37Speaker 1: five minute excuse me break, And I missed the entire
- 1:41Speaker 1: first chunk of the very first day. And it's not
- 1:45Speaker 1: like the classes were early. It's not like they were
- 1:47Speaker 1: at seven eight o'clock. This was they were at like ten. Yeah,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I slept right through that first chunk. It was pretty incredible.
- 1:54Speaker 4: That's wild to me.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I mean, but I can't talk because there was a
- 1:57Speaker 2: good chunk of my twenty first year of life where
- 2:02Speaker 2: I was sleeping through anything that happened between eight am
- 2:07Speaker 2: and five pm, so like the whole day.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Like my friends were mad at me because I would
- 2:14Speaker 2: make plans with them and then I just wouldn't answer
- 2:17Speaker 2: the phone. I wouldn't show up, and then I'd wake
- 2:19Speaker 2: up and.
- 2:20Speaker 4: I'd be like, oh, hey, guys, what's up there.
- 2:22Speaker 2: You missed brunch, you missed my birthday, you missed everything.
- 2:27Speaker 4: And then it was a rough time. I didn't understand
- 2:29Speaker 4: how drinking worked back then.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Kevin, what did you sleep through?
- 2:33Speaker 5: Man? Well, I actually slept through the birth of my
- 2:37Speaker 5: second child. I was working double shit and I had
- 2:39Speaker 5: like two hours to catch your nap. My wife was
- 2:42Speaker 5: at her mother's and she went into labor. I didn't
- 2:44Speaker 5: hear the phone ring at all, and when I woke up,
- 2:47Speaker 5: I saw all of the missed calls and messages. I
- 2:50Speaker 5: got to the hospital about an hour after my son
- 2:52Speaker 5: was born.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Now, okay, it was only an hour after.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And Kevin's defense, he doesn't have what I would assume
- 2:58Speaker 1: is the anatomy to be awake during that moment, Like
- 3:02Speaker 1: ladies do it, Things gonna happen.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I can't stand you, Gabe, Marissa, lets you sleep through.
- 3:08Speaker 6: I want slipped through my cousin's wedding, not just the ceremony,
- 3:12Speaker 6: the whole thing. I woke up to seventeen missed calls,
- 3:15Speaker 6: a group chat full of photos, and one very aggressive
- 3:19Speaker 6: voice note from my mom that started with I don't
- 3:22Speaker 6: even know what to say to you right now.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Now, as long as you're not in the wedding, who cares,
- 3:27Speaker 1: Gabe that big of a deal.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Right Well, you're.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Telling me is that you think it's fine to sleep
- 3:33Speaker 2: through very important events, all right, some of them. I'm
- 3:36Speaker 2: surprised you show up for work here every day. This
- 3:44Speaker 2: is sorry, not sorry. We say the thing you're thinking,
- 3:47Speaker 2: but are too polite to say we die on the
- 3:49Speaker 2: hill of controversial opinion. So you don't have to, Gabe,
- 3:54Speaker 2: what's driving you mad today?
- 3:57Speaker 1: Quit saying you don't have time for mundane, basic essential tasks.
- 4:05Speaker 1: There was something Jessica Biele made popular on the internet
- 4:09Speaker 1: yesterday about eating food in the shower.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Right well, eating your.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Breakfast when it's just an apple or something and it's
- 4:17Speaker 1: not a full breakfast takes five minutes, all right. Not
- 4:21Speaker 1: having time for food and eating in the shower is crazy,
- 4:26Speaker 1: all right. If you need an extra five minutes to
- 4:29Speaker 1: eat your pudding, pop, you know what you do. If
- 4:34Speaker 1: your alarm is set for six point thirty, set it
- 4:37Speaker 1: for six twenty five, all right, just wake up five
- 4:40Speaker 1: minutes earlier and boom.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Problem solved. Now.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It's one thing to not have time to schedule a
- 4:48Speaker 1: hair appointment or an oil change, or maybe you need
- 4:51Speaker 1: help getting little Sarah or Timmy home from soccer or
- 4:54Speaker 1: Little league practice. But the idea of not having time
- 4:58Speaker 1: to complete a task that takes five minutes or less
- 5:01Speaker 1: can only be one of two things. It's either a
- 5:05Speaker 1: lack of time management or you're just lazy. Neither of
- 5:09Speaker 1: these two scenarios should ever be as used as an
- 5:13Speaker 1: excuse for not having time. If you woke up and
- 5:16Speaker 1: found one million dollars that you had won one million dollars,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I guarantee you would make the five minutes work. So
- 5:25Speaker 1: start treating your breakfast like a million dollars and somehow
- 5:30Speaker 1: sneak it on in there.
- 5:32Speaker 3: You know what I hate? I didn't have time. Well,
- 5:36Speaker 3: you just manage your time better or wake up a
- 5:39Speaker 3: little earlier. It's it's very simple.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I hate that you're not wrong.
- 5:47Speaker 6: Game.
- 5:47Speaker 4: As the resident male here you are, I need.
- 5:52Speaker 2: To ask you if you're like this too, because I've
- 5:55Speaker 2: been getting.
- 5:56Speaker 4: So irritated with Mikey lately. Sorry, excuse me, I've.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Been getting so irritained with my boyfriend Mikey lately because
- 6:05Speaker 2: he just never asks follow up questions or ask for
- 6:10Speaker 2: details or provides details whenever he's telling me anything. So
- 6:16Speaker 2: the example is we're walking, We're at the Fargo Sports
- 6:19Speaker 2: Complex yesterday, walking the track, getting those steps in, and
- 6:23Speaker 2: we're chit chatting whatever, and he tells me that, oh,
- 6:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna talk on the phone tomorrow with my daughter Madison.
- 6:30Speaker 2: And they haven't spoken in a while, not that there's
- 6:32Speaker 2: any problem, they just, you know, sometimes you don't call
- 6:35Speaker 2: your parents all the time.
- 6:36Speaker 4: And so he's excited to talk to her. So I
- 6:39Speaker 4: was like, oh, really, when how did she text you?
- 6:42Speaker 6: Oh?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah, she did, okay, And then what when are you
- 6:46Speaker 2: guys gonna talk tomorrow?
- 6:48Speaker 4: When? Tomorrow? I don't know. What do you mean? You
- 6:51Speaker 4: don't know?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Well, I just said tomorrow, like tomorrow evening. I guess
- 6:56Speaker 2: tomorrow evening. You guess does she know that it's tomorrow evening?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Or you're just deciding that in your head?
- 7:03Speaker 4: And then whatever? And he's like, oh, I don't know.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Should I tell her? Bro?
- 7:07Speaker 5: What? Now?
- 7:08Speaker 3: That's interesting? I know exactly what he means.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Because you're a boy. Huh, Like, why do you guys
- 7:15Speaker 2: do that? Why do you guys never be specific? I
- 7:19Speaker 2: think that's what You're never specific enough. We want details
- 7:24Speaker 2: and you never have the details.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Ever.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I recently got in a very similar pickle as Mikey here,
- 7:31Speaker 1: can will you do me a favor? Will you be
- 7:33Speaker 1: the resident wife in the studio? Okay, Okay, So this
- 7:36Speaker 1: was a real conversation I had with my wife. Oh, honey, dude,
- 7:41Speaker 1: one of my best friends, you know, my buddy t
- 7:44Speaker 1: mm hmmm, he got an engagement ring.
- 7:47Speaker 3: How cool is that?
- 7:49Speaker 2: That's really cool? So he's proposing? Yeah, I think when
- 7:53Speaker 2: is he going to propose?
- 7:56Speaker 3: I don't know. I think he's just gonna feel it out.
- 8:00Speaker 4: He tell you that, or you're just decide.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Okay, Where I didn't ask?
- 8:04Speaker 2: You didn't Your friend is going to get married, is
- 8:07Speaker 2: going to propose, and you didn't ask when he's going
- 8:10Speaker 2: to propose.
- 8:11Speaker 4: What does the ring look like?
- 8:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 8:14Speaker 4: You didn't ask him to send you a picture of
- 8:15Speaker 4: the ring?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Nope?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Okay, so you also don't know how much the ring
- 8:19Speaker 2: was Nope. You don't know like how he's gonna propose, nope?
- 8:24Speaker 3: Or where I got nothing?
- 8:27Speaker 1: You?
- 8:30Speaker 3: That is a real conversation.
- 8:33Speaker 4: I'm so mad.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Your friend is getting engaged, he's going to propose, and
- 8:39Speaker 2: you didn't think to ask any follow up question?
- 8:42Speaker 4: Do you not care?
- 8:43Speaker 3: Not a one?
- 8:44Speaker 1: I said, Hey, congrats man, that's awesome. You're about to
- 8:47Speaker 1: be married larks, And that was literally our conversation.
- 8:51Speaker 4: But why, like, you don't care you don't care about the.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Details of jack form? I could, I could not care
- 8:56Speaker 1: less about all?
- 8:57Speaker 4: But then is that all guys? Do you not care
- 9:01Speaker 4: about the details?
- 9:02Speaker 2: I feel like when anyone anything, I tell every single
- 9:06Speaker 2: last detail. Maybe too many. Maybe men and women need
- 9:09Speaker 2: to make meet in the middle, But like, what are you.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Saying to me?
- 9:13Speaker 2: I can't imagine hearing huge news and not asking a
- 9:16Speaker 2: trillion follow up questions?
- 9:17Speaker 4: Why are you guys like this?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven?
- 9:22Speaker 1: Do you have a man in your life who your
- 9:25Speaker 1: conversation sound a lot like the one a kid?
- 9:28Speaker 2: I just ask, where are you with the magical unicorn
- 9:32Speaker 2: who asks all the follow up questions.
- 9:34Speaker 4: And gives all the details?
- 9:42Speaker 2: My little victory, Gabe has sorry?
- 9:45Speaker 3: Is that old fashioned phone calls these days? That's old? Yeah, sadly,
- 9:50Speaker 3: I think you're right, my little.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Victory today, Gabe. It hasn't happened yet, but it is happening.
- 9:57Speaker 2: My babies they're coming back home today. So Aiden and
- 10:01Speaker 2: Liam have been in Washington since Father's Day weekend visiting
- 10:06Speaker 2: their father who lives there.
- 10:07Speaker 4: So that's fine, but they've been gone.
- 10:09Speaker 2: This entire time, and I miss them, and I definitely
- 10:13Speaker 2: took advantage of being kid free for the past however
- 10:17Speaker 2: many weeks. Definitely got things done, did some things. That's like, Okay,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I can't do that when the kids are around, but right.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I need them. I love them. They're my babies.
- 10:27Speaker 2: And today they are coming back. They will be here
- 10:30Speaker 2: in the afternoon. I got to drive to Minneapolis to
- 10:33Speaker 2: pick them up at the airport. But that's fine. Look,
- 10:36Speaker 2: there's no distance I wouldn't drive to go pick up
- 10:39Speaker 2: my babies.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Look at that.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Angie's driving three three and a half hours to go
- 10:43Speaker 1: get her kids, and soon he wouldn't drive thirty minutes
- 10:46Speaker 1: to get her systems.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, that's right.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Which was very fun to read through some of the
- 10:51Speaker 1: angry comments on Facebook yesterday. Yeah, but that is a
- 10:53Speaker 1: fabulous Uh, that's fabulous news. That's not a little victory.
- 10:57Speaker 1: That's like, that's massive.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Well we'll see how they shad.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Yeah right, well, my little victory.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I hinted a little bit about this yesterday, but as
- 11:08Speaker 1: of this morning, m hm, my sweet baby, which is
- 11:11Speaker 1: a four legged dog, yes, is two years old today.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I have what is like officially an adult dog, which
- 11:20Speaker 1: is kind of heartbreaking because on my phone. You know,
- 11:22Speaker 1: we see all the pictures of when we first got her,
- 11:25Speaker 1: when she was like first born, and she's just this tiny,
- 11:29Speaker 1: tiny little thing. And now she is not even close
- 11:32Speaker 1: to being a tiny little thing. But she has never
- 11:34Speaker 1: outgrown her like puppy dog eyes, those have stayed the same.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Yeah, her cuteness is still off the charge.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Yeah. And so she is two years old today.
- 11:44Speaker 1: So I have a feeling her dad will be stopping
- 11:47Speaker 1: by and getting some type of dog cake from whatever
- 11:51Speaker 1: pet Co or PetSmart.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Oh, I love that. Does she like what are those
- 11:54Speaker 4: called puppet chinos?
- 11:56Speaker 3: Oh? Anything?
- 11:58Speaker 4: Oh? Okay, but she knows she deserves it all. She's
- 12:01Speaker 4: the best girl.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Yeah. Poppuccino pop cup.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh, I like pup cupp pppuccino slippers.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Just anthing, Gabe.
- 12:19Speaker 2: If you do not know this about me, I am
- 12:22Speaker 2: a huge movie buff. Like I just love movies. To me,
- 12:27Speaker 2: like the Award shows. That's like my super Bowl. I'm
- 12:29Speaker 2: obsessed with movies. Okay, and uh. The New York Times
- 12:34Speaker 2: released earlier this summer their list of the top one
- 12:37Speaker 2: hundred movies of the twenty first century, and as I
- 12:40Speaker 2: was looking through this list, I thought, how dare they
- 12:45Speaker 2: because there are some movies that I think are definitely
- 12:50Speaker 2: in the top one hundred that are not even listed,
- 12:53Speaker 2: And so I wanted to get your take on this.
- 12:55Speaker 2: And I also want to know what's your like number
- 12:59Speaker 2: one movie of all time?
- 13:00Speaker 1: But they probably like fifty movies on this list. I've
- 13:03Speaker 1: never even heard of much less seen, right.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so I do what if you had to guess,
- 13:08Speaker 2: like in the top ten of this list, what are
- 13:11Speaker 2: some movies you think would.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Be on there?
- 13:15Speaker 3: I don't know, Like the Shawshank Redemption.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Oh, that's not on the list at all. Yeah, not
- 13:22Speaker 4: at all.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Somewhere that movie is being played right now on television
- 13:25Speaker 1: on channel like two hundred and eighteen.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Whatever shat Redemption.
- 13:30Speaker 4: That's always shaw Shank Redemption is. You always have to
- 13:33Speaker 4: watch it as soon as it's right.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Oh, man, I really don't know. Then the Godfathers.
- 13:38Speaker 4: The Godfather's not on the list.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Okay, this list is fake, right right theirs?
- 13:43Speaker 4: I can't even believe it.
- 13:45Speaker 2: So number one on the list, however, I do agree
- 13:48Speaker 2: with Number one is Parasite.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Did you ever watch Parasite?
- 13:52Speaker 1: You know? I feel like I started watching that movie
- 13:55Speaker 1: once and didn't finish it.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Is it the subtitles that very Are you someone who
- 14:00Speaker 2: can't watch a movie.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Or subtitle subtitle?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Okay, no, I have done it, and I you know,
- 14:05Speaker 1: if I need to do it, I will, But if
- 14:07Speaker 1: subtitles are on, it's tough for me. Okay, Well, parents,
- 14:10Speaker 1: I feel like I'm reading a book instead of watching
- 14:12Speaker 1: a movie.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Oh.
- 14:13Speaker 4: I can kind of see that.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I'm hard of hearing a little bit, So I prefer
- 14:16Speaker 2: subtitles for everything. Parasite's number one, Mulholland Drive number two.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I don't know what that is.
- 14:22Speaker 4: There will be blood number three. Do you know that one?
- 14:26Speaker 4: Is that Daniel day.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Lewis, Yes, and it's the I have seen that. It's
- 14:30Speaker 1: the there it's like the oil movie. H yeah, yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 1: based off the book.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, that one that you think.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I have seen that movie. I think it's a solid flick.
- 14:41Speaker 1: The third best movie of all time.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah right, you I know that you love The
- 14:48Speaker 4: Dark Knight.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Love the Dark Knight. Great movie.
- 14:51Speaker 4: It is on the list. No, it comes in.
- 14:53Speaker 2: It comes in at number twenty eight and at number
- 14:56Speaker 2: one hundred is super Bad All.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I snuck in to see Super Bad three times in
- 15:03Speaker 1: theaters before I was seventeen years old day.
- 15:06Speaker 2: All because you shouldn't have been allowed to watch it.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Yes, I was sixteen.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Oh okay, I yes, I could afford the eight dollars right, right, right?
- 15:17Speaker 5: No?
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I loved super Bad growing up. I like that
- 15:19Speaker 1: movie so much. Someone gave it to me for my
- 15:22Speaker 1: seventeenth birthday, like they.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Gave me the DVD. That's nice.
- 15:25Speaker 2: The thing with lists like this is that they're so subjective, right, right,
- 15:31Speaker 2: and so I feel like there's some nerve to be like,
- 15:34Speaker 2: these are the top one hundred movies of the twenty
- 15:37Speaker 2: five cent.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Change, and how do you differentiate like forty six and
- 15:41Speaker 1: fifty five?
- 15:42Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:43Speaker 3: What's really the barometer there?
- 15:45Speaker 4: Oh?
- 15:45Speaker 2: I think they just put them all in a thing
- 15:47Speaker 2: and a generator and they shuffle them around.
- 15:49Speaker 4: But what is your number one movie? And why?
- 15:52Speaker 2: Seven on one, two, eight, oho one, nine eighty seven.
- 15:54Speaker 2: For me, it's everything everywhere, all at once, which is
- 15:58Speaker 2: not on the list.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I think I have seen that movie.
- 16:01Speaker 4: It's a good one. It's a good one.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Movies are so hard because like music, right, it kind
- 16:08Speaker 1: of it depends on the mood.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Right.
- 16:10Speaker 1: There are fabulous movies to sit down and watch and
- 16:14Speaker 1: you're like, all right, this is gonna be dramatic, the
- 16:16Speaker 1: twists and turns, blah blah blah, and sometimes you just
- 16:19Speaker 1: want to watch Happy Gilmore Too.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 16:22Speaker 2: It's a lot like music, but Happy Gilmore Too should
- 16:25Speaker 2: be on the list.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yeah, right, all right.
- 16:30Speaker 3: The movie Freakier Friday.
- 16:32Speaker 1: It comes out on August eighth, which two days from now,
- 16:36Speaker 1: so Friday.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Yes, and it's obviously makes sense. The switch. Oh yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 4: I've done a Friday. But yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 2: The premise is, you know, Freaky Friday, you switch bodies.
- 16:48Speaker 2: This one was Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, mother daughter.
- 16:51Speaker 2: They switch bodies. In the sequel they add some kids
- 16:54Speaker 2: to the mix. I'm not exactly sure who gets switched,
- 16:57Speaker 2: but the point is you wake up in the body
- 16:59Speaker 2: of someone else. And so, Gabe, I want to know,
- 17:04Speaker 2: what would you do if we were in a Freaky
- 17:06Speaker 2: Friday situation? If this Friday you woke up and you
- 17:10Speaker 2: were Angie. What are the things that you would do?
- 17:13Speaker 2: Because I have some things that I would do if
- 17:16Speaker 2: I were Gabe.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Okay, well, if you have a bestie or a hubby
- 17:20Speaker 1: or a girlfriend or whatever, what is something you would
- 17:24Speaker 1: do if you switch places? For a day seven oh
- 17:26Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. You can
- 17:29Speaker 1: give us a call or shoot us a text. Angie,
- 17:31Speaker 1: do you want to find out what I would do
- 17:32Speaker 1: if I was you? Or do you want to go first?
- 17:35Speaker 2: All right, it's because I'm nervous, because are you going
- 17:38Speaker 2: to try to sabotage my life or you're just gonna
- 17:41Speaker 2: see what life is like as me?
- 17:44Speaker 3: All right, here's what I would do, Angie.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I would instantly try to win as much money as
- 17:50Speaker 1: I could playing memory games. If you don't know this
- 17:53Speaker 1: about Angie, she has a fabulous memory.
- 17:56Speaker 3: My memory stinks.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I would do anything possible to win as much money
- 18:01Speaker 1: doing something of that nature.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Okay, so you wake up as me, but you have
- 18:04Speaker 2: my memory ability. Yeah, okay, all right, I like that.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I would tell my kids because I said so, as
- 18:13Speaker 1: many times as possible. That's got to be the coolest
- 18:15Speaker 1: part about being a parent.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, it does feel good sometimes.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Because I said so.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Because I said so.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I would also walk past the construction site and enjoy
- 18:24Speaker 1: twenty five seconds of being cat called.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, that'd be great. I would go to
- 18:29Speaker 3: a bar and drink for free for an entire evening.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Uh, you think I'm pretty enough that that happened.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I'd also read my insane dms.
- 18:39Speaker 4: I'd also are bad game.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I'd also find a guy to take me out just
- 18:44Speaker 1: so I could have some free food that afternoon.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that is good. I mean we've all done that.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and then I would laugh and laugh and laugh
- 18:52Speaker 1: all morning from six to ten because Gabe is just
- 18:55Speaker 1: the most funny co host in the history of co hosts.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Wow.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Wow, that's pretty good day, isn't it.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it. You're a pretty good day.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I think I got a lot in there.
- 19:06Speaker 2: All right, Well, Gabe, if I were you, First of all,
- 19:09Speaker 2: I'm getting an extra hour and a half of sleep
- 19:12Speaker 2: before getting ready for work because your morning routine doesn't
- 19:15Speaker 2: involve a lengthy skincare routine or straightening four pounds of hair.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It basically involves a little potty toothbrush and see ya.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly what a dream. I would get an extra
- 19:27Speaker 2: hour and a half of sleep, wonderful. I would take
- 19:30Speaker 2: things off of high shelves and then put things on
- 19:34Speaker 2: high shelves just to be able to do it, because
- 19:36Speaker 2: you're what five nine.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not even like extremely tall.
- 19:40Speaker 2: You are I'm fine one, so yeah, I don't even
- 19:43Speaker 2: know what the tops of shelves look like. I'd get
- 19:45Speaker 2: all the doggy snuggles from Windna.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he's the cutest.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I don't get to see her enough. Also, i'd hang
- 19:52Speaker 2: out with your wife because I love her and I
- 19:55Speaker 2: want to hang out with her in Angie life, but
- 19:57Speaker 2: our schedules haven't lined up. So if I'm Gabe, I
- 20:01Speaker 2: get to hang out with Corey for like after work,
- 20:03Speaker 2: I get to just hang out with Corey, So.
- 20:05Speaker 4: I like that.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Also, I know that I'm vegan, but if I wake
- 20:11Speaker 2: up in your body, it doesn't count.
- 20:13Speaker 4: So I'd eat meat and cheese.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I'd drink milk, I would have all of the non
- 20:20Speaker 2: vegan things.
- 20:21Speaker 4: And then I'd be like, bah, but it's not me.
- 20:24Speaker 5: I like you.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, And then i'd also i'd pump gas when it's
- 20:28Speaker 2: dark out.
- 20:30Speaker 4: I don't ever go to a gas station or pump
- 20:32Speaker 4: gas when it's dark.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Because I saw this thing that was like, statistically, women
- 20:36Speaker 2: are most murdered at gas stations after five PM, went
- 20:40Speaker 2: like whenever it's dark, and so I would just be
- 20:43Speaker 2: a man gas at dark. But if I were trying
- 20:47Speaker 2: to sabotage your life. Yeah, I would slide into the
- 20:51Speaker 2: DMS of all my ex girl or your ex girlfriends
- 20:55Speaker 2: and say that it's not working out with Corey. That's
- 20:58Speaker 2: if I was trying to sabotage your life.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Either you didn't, I don't. Yeah, I don't like that
- 21:02Speaker 3: at all.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I have bad news for the kiddos. Summer is almost sober.
- 21:10Speaker 1: You're gonna have to get back into that potential bedtime.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Rous Oh my gosh.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yes, my kids are returning today from spending most of
- 21:20Speaker 2: the summer with their dad in Washington, and I know
- 21:24Speaker 2: for a fact that they've been going to bed at midnight,
- 21:28Speaker 2: one am, two am, Like, bro, why are y'all going
- 21:31Speaker 2: to the club, what are you doing that You're up
- 21:35Speaker 2: so late? And as soon as they get back here,
- 21:37Speaker 2: what a rude awakening it's gonna be. Because yeah, school
- 21:40Speaker 2: they start on the twenty seventh of this month, so
- 21:43Speaker 2: it's like we're winding that back.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Okay, your bed.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna have to start getting in a better
- 21:49Speaker 1: I don't know, habit, a routine, yes, And whether you're
- 21:53Speaker 1: an early bird or a night out or both, a
- 21:55Speaker 1: lot of people wish they could get more sleep a
- 21:57Speaker 1: new study found the average American begins their nighttime routine
- 22:02Speaker 1: at ten to fifteen on happy m Yeah, on average,
- 22:08Speaker 1: it takes twenty one minutes to get ready for bed,
- 22:11Speaker 1: so that happens around ten thirty six. Then it takes
- 22:14Speaker 1: more than forty minutes before people actually fall asleep.
- 22:18Speaker 3: The average person here in.
- 22:20Speaker 1: America falls asleep at about eleven eighteen. And obviously timings
- 22:25Speaker 1: can kind of vary on this a little bit, depending
- 22:27Speaker 1: on when you have to get up the next morning.
- 22:29Speaker 1: But do you know what makes me kind of terrified?
- 22:31Speaker 1: What this sounds almost exactly like my schedule.
- 22:36Speaker 4: That's almost like your.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Schedule sounds almost exactly like it.
- 22:39Speaker 2: We have to be up so early for this job
- 22:42Speaker 2: so early, and you go to bed that late.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm I'm probably like closing my eyes around like
- 22:49Speaker 1: ten to fifteen.
- 22:50Speaker 4: And you're not even a napper.
- 22:52Speaker 3: No, not really.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Like I said, I like to fight it, you know,
- 22:55Speaker 1: I like to come in here and kind of be
- 22:56Speaker 1: a little tired.
- 22:57Speaker 4: This is crazy to me.
- 22:59Speaker 2: We're opposite and I'm not like the average person because
- 23:03Speaker 2: my bedtime routine starts at.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Six thirty pm.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Wow, So I take my melatonin and I drink my
- 23:11Speaker 2: Sleepy Time tea and then just kind of hang out
- 23:14Speaker 2: in the living room watching whatever trashing reality show. Yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 2: and then I start to feel a little tired. I
- 23:20Speaker 2: get into bed by seven, and then even though I
- 23:23Speaker 2: took Sleepy Time tea and melatonin, I have a second wind,
- 23:26Speaker 2: and then I be chatting. I'm not even on my phone.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I just be because I'm like with my keys. So
- 23:31Speaker 2: then we just chat in bed for maybe like a
- 23:34Speaker 2: half hour, and then I usually like talk myself to sleep,
- 23:37Speaker 2: and I'm sleeping by like seven forty five.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I want to say, man, that does sound nice. Maybe
- 23:43Speaker 1: I'll try your routine to see.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I don't even get that much sleep anyway though, because
- 23:48Speaker 2: I'm just not a good sleeper, so I wake up
- 23:50Speaker 2: a lot in the middle of the night.
- 23:52Speaker 4: So going to bed that early is because I know
- 23:54Speaker 4: I have trouble sleeping.
- 23:56Speaker 2: So I average like six hours a night, which is
- 23:58Speaker 2: not ideal.
- 24:00Speaker 4: A lot prettier if I got more sleep.
- 24:01Speaker 1: And I asked this question on Big ninety eight point
- 24:04Speaker 1: seven's Facebook page, and it kind of varies. I feel
- 24:07Speaker 1: like there's two specific sections of time. All right around
- 24:13Speaker 1: nine was an answer. We got a lot and then
- 24:16Speaker 1: between one and two A m oh, was that answer?
- 24:20Speaker 1: It was an answer I kind of saw a few
- 24:22Speaker 1: times on there. Now I definitely can't do that. That's insane.
- 24:25Speaker 1: But maybe I'll need to start working on that for
- 24:27Speaker 1: the fall, as your kids come back and start getting
- 24:31Speaker 1: in a better routine of sleep. Yeah, maybe I'll try
- 24:34Speaker 1: to start turning that like ten thirty into maybe like
- 24:37Speaker 1: a nine to thirty, maybe one extra hour.
- 24:39Speaker 2: My kids go to sleep at ten thirty, which means
- 24:42Speaker 2: that there's a couple hours there.
- 24:44Speaker 4: They could really get away with murder. Because I'm not there.
- 24:46Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 24:54Speaker 1: A Wisconsin restaurant owner. His name is Chad. He's in
- 24:58Speaker 1: the news after a bond of teenagers stepped up to.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Keep him in business.
- 25:04Speaker 1: He owns this place called Urban, Olive and Divine, and
- 25:09Speaker 1: he actually only hires teenagers. He has about thirty of
- 25:13Speaker 1: them on staff, and he says he likes hiring teenagers
- 25:15Speaker 1: because they soak up information, they all want to do well,
- 25:19Speaker 1: and it's a great place for them to get their
- 25:21Speaker 1: first job. Will last September, his wife Carol had a
- 25:25Speaker 1: grand mal seizure and was in the hospital for eight months.
- 25:29Speaker 3: All right, oh my god.
- 25:30Speaker 1: While all of that was going on, Chad thought he
- 25:32Speaker 1: might have to close down the business without even being asked.
- 25:36Speaker 1: All of his employees banded together and they ran the
- 25:39Speaker 1: place for him. They trained each other, bought supplies, and
- 25:43Speaker 1: came up with new specials. Some of them showed up
- 25:45Speaker 1: at five point thirty in the morning to open and
- 25:47Speaker 1: do prep work each day. The only time they had
- 25:50Speaker 1: to close was so they could sadly go visit his
- 25:53Speaker 1: wife in the hospital. Right Chad told a reporter he
- 25:56Speaker 1: watched them turn from teenagers into adults, and he them
- 26:00Speaker 1: like they're his own kids.
- 26:02Speaker 4: It's so sweet a.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Bunch of teenagers quite literally saving someone's business at that age.
- 26:08Speaker 1: They might not know exactly what that means.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Yeah, the impact that they're having. But you know what
- 26:13Speaker 2: I love about that, you know, restaurant owner, is that
- 26:17Speaker 2: it's true a lot of times, like you're trying to
- 26:19Speaker 2: get your first job, but then it's like, well you
- 26:22Speaker 2: don't have enough experience.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Well how am I supposed to get experience if no
- 26:25Speaker 4: one's gonna hire me?
- 26:26Speaker 2: Right, So, the fact that this guy's hiring teenagers and
- 26:28Speaker 2: helping them get that first job experience is lovely and
- 26:32Speaker 2: it's awesome that they return to the favor.
- 26:34Speaker 1: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 26:37Speaker 1: find one, you gotta be one.
