- Shamus: What's a going on everybody? Welcome back to the Pork Roll Egg and Cheese Podcast. My name is Shamal. And you could be anywhere in the world, but you're here with us. And for that, we thank you. What's going on, bud? Herbie: And I'm her bag. Thanks man. No man, just you getting ready to do vacation stuff. You know, everyone else is going on vacation, so I gotta start thinking of some places where I wanna go. Yeah man, it's either abroad or you know, go check out some stuff around the country. Shamus: Yeah, summer's right around the corner, man. Yeah, I was talking to a guy at work the other and this is why I know your phones are truly listening to you. Cause I was just like, Yeah, I don't know if I'm gonna go anywhere on vacation this year or whatever. ⁓ about three hours later when I got home, I went to check my email and one of the things that came up was like twenty five hot vacation spots in United States this summer. And I was like, they must have heard me talking to my boy. But one of the things that came up was Mount Rushmore and what cracked me up about that is first of all, I have no idea where the hell that's at. Do you know where it's at? Herbie: ⁓ yeah. Nevada? I don't know. ⁓ actually yeah, you know what? I think it is like Wyoming. Shamus: I know, is it Wyoming or something or? I have no idea. But I I there's pr I know there's four presidents on there. ⁓ but then I was thinking to myself, 'cause I was watching a movie on TV. I don't want to give the actor away because he's going to be a part of this thing. But then I thought to myself, I was like, Man, you know, don't get me wrong, presidents are cool. ⁓ the guys that are up there, I think it's Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, and I'm probably wrong on all these besides Washington. Roosevelt's on there too. I think Roosevelt's on there or something. But anyway, I was like, Man Herbie: Right? Yeah, Roosevelt. Shamus: They should do like a Mount Rush More of Cool dudes, you know what I mean? ⁓ Like icons. So then I thought to myself, Hey, we can just do it on the podcast. Yeah. That's something great about this thing, man. We can just do whatever we want. Right to an extent. We got to talk about some of the shit that people want to hear. So I thought to myself, let's do ⁓ four dudes that you would put on your Mount Rush More of cool. And what we'll do is you'll name one, I'll name one. Herbie: Porque rolleg cheese mountain. Shamus: And we'll go back and forth and we'll do two honorable mentions. Now before we do this, I just want to knock out a couple of people. Like 'cause I mean, god damn, when we were sitting here thinking about this, there were so many dudes. Herbie: So we can't really repeat the you know, put the Mount Rushmore of the people we already talked about before, 'cause that kinda is like redundant. Like a fresh like you know, you like Keanu Reeves, like he's like he's ⁓ Shamus: What do you mean? I mean ⁓ don't get me wrong. He'd probably but four's tough man. Like I said, trying to go through this shit. Herbie: ⁓ that's good, yeah. ⁓ I'm in Shamus: Like even the honorable mentions I had to toss somebody off bringing another guy in after thinking about it. ⁓ it it was just insane because there were so many iconic guys like just growing up as a kid, like we're not doing movie character, we're actually doing the person. ⁓ the actor. there were so many great characters and so many great actors. It was just hard to narrow it down. Herbie: And change the round maybe Okay. Yeah. You're right though, man, because you like actors that are really cool like as their characters, but are they really cool outside of their craft? Shamus: Yeah and and for all you guys listening, that's what we're looking for. We're look like the cool dude on and off. The guy sleeps cool. Yeah. Smokes a cigarette cool. You know what I mean? Like just the epitome of cool. Herbie: ⁓ yeah. Okay, all right. Shamus: So in everything he does. ⁓ and there was a bunch of guys I left off because they're there's way too new, you know, like Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling slowly coming up my list. I love that dude. ⁓ who like Nicholas Cage is one of those guys that's just kind of teeth. ⁓ like you said, Keanu, but those guys like they they're cool, but they don't have that. You know what I mean? Like that. When they walk in, like when they walk in a room, everybody stops. You know what I mean? So Herbie: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. There's probably people right now, they're listeners that are thinking like, ⁓ I can think of like twenty guys. Shamus: There I was I was thinking about putting ⁓ what's his face? The mustache guy, Tom Selleck. That dude, like watching Magnum P. I as a kid, I was like, ⁓ but ⁓ recently I've been binging friends because I've never seen it before. Yeah. And he's dating Monica spoiler. I mean, it's and he's cool in Friends, and then he's cool in NYPD blue or whatever the hell he does or Shields or whatever. And then I'm like, dude, that guy has been cool for fucking 30, 40 years. But then he shaved the mustache in the one episode, and I was like, what the fuck? Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: So kinda knocked him off. I mean he's still a cool dude. But it kind of because the mustache is iconic too. Herbie: It's like Samson getting his hair cut and lost all his power. Shamus: Yeah, it's so I was just kind of like, Yeah. Herbie: ⁓ okay, alright, alright. I'm in. This sounds good. ⁓ listeners I'm sure you're already compiling your list and stuff or probably either agree or disagree, but what the hell are they talking about? That dude's cool. Shamus: So Yeah, I can't wait to see the mailbag after this. Well I don't think I I don't think they're gonna be able to argue with too much stuff I got going on. Herbie: All right, cool. I mean all right. No, Lord Seamus goes first. Shamus: You wanna flip a coin to see who goes? All right, bud. I mean it doesn't matter to me. Let's see. All right. Obviously I'm gonna take a big fish right off the board here, dude. Okay. Burt Reynolds. Herbie: ⁓ and in the first round of the pick, Lord Chase selects Burt Reynolds. Shamus: Burt Reynolds is the epitome of I mean everything. If you look up cool in the dictionary, he's right there. He's got the mustache. He's I mean, dude, every chick wanted to in the 70s, he was the it, man. He was like even in the 80s. And it looked like he had a good time doing it. Like all the bloopers he's he was the first one that ever came out with the blooper reels at the end of movies. That's true. ⁓ the cannibal run, all that stuff. ⁓ he always had like Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: Prime example of Cannibal Run. He had like all the big like Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, like the and they just it just looked like he was having fun in everything he did, man. the relationship him and Jerry Reed had in like smoking the bandit. But then like when you watch the documentaries, one just recently came out. ⁓ like even in his personal life, he was just having such a great time. Like everybody wanted to be a part of what he was doing and he wanted everybody to be a part of it. Like ⁓ he had the ⁓ the Broken R ranch. Herbie: Damn, yeah. Yeah. Shamus: ⁓ Reynolds. And like after he got everything settled and all the horses, ⁓ he he opened it up to the public. Like here, come check it out. This is what we're doing here. And that is like it was cra Herbie: Yeah. Damn, I'd be happy even banging Lonnie Anderson too, man. That's a plus. ⁓ that dude, that's a good one. Shamus: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Burt Reynolds was of the people, man. Like he was that dude. I wish I could have I know ⁓ Jay from the a new podcast. ⁓ went and met him ⁓ right before he passed away at one of those things that night. He was like, Hey man, it's getting bad. You should probably come see him. And I was like, I will but I just never got the chance, man. He was my hero like Yeah growing up, man, I had the belt buckle, yeah, I had the fake mustache, the cowboy hat. ⁓ know, I got my Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: Yeah, I had ⁓ it wasn't this is how creative we were as kids. I think my parents bought like an air conditioner or a T V set or something in the box. Like my mom and dad helped me. I made it into a black transam and stuff and would sit in it and act like I was being chased. So yeah, man. Burt Reynolds to me is one of the coolest, if not the coolest cat on the planet. Of course, next to your boy, but Herbie: Yeah, I was gonna say that I I I agree with that one, man. I'm gonna say Christopher Lee. Yeah, he's just like classy Devonier. I he was Dracula. Sauron. Count Dooku. I mean the guy he's like, you know, he was Shamus: All right, you're up, bud. Who's your number one pick? Okay. Herbie: He speaks like 90 different languages. The guy has a like a heavy metal freaking album. The guy was the guy is the he's his cousin wrote a book and he turned out to be freaking 007. You know, it's like that guy just he he lived a life of like excitement, adventure. And he was just like very classy. You know, and it's like his his voice was very becoming. You know, it's just like a very like stat he was a statuesque like gentleman. Shamus: Where else have I seen him? He's played in a TV show or two too. Herbie: He's done bunch of stuff, man. No, even like I think what in World War Two he was actually like used to hunt down Nazis and stuff. I was like, Jesus Christ, this guy's a badass. Shamus: ⁓ yeah, he is. I I've seen him somewhere before. I just can't I can't make it. But that's a really good pick, man. Thanks for Awesome ass pick. Herbie: That is fight with a sword and stuff. He looks he looks good in a cape, which I'm hoping bring capes back, because that's dope, even though I'm too damn short. But anyway, I'll still try to mac it. Whatever. Yeah. Yeah, this Herbie will. Well who you who you got for number two? Shamus: Short dudes wear capes. Why wouldn't Let's see my number two. And I think he's your number two too. I know he's on your list is my man Clint Eastwood. And it's gonna be a sad day when he goes but I still think it's hilarious at ninety six years old he went, Yeah, I think I'm gonna return Herbie: ⁓ yeah. ⁓ I know. Tired. Yeah. I think now it's me now it's time for me to slow down. Shamus: I was bitching on the last pod. I was like, you know what? I'm about to hit 50. Well, I'll be 49 this summer. Yeah. And I was like, yeah, I need to take some time and slow down a little bit. That bitch is like, man, I'm 96. I guess I'll hang it up. ⁓ So but that guy is there's not a woman alive. Like we talked about. ⁓ know we mentioned before in the pod when your mom was like, that's Mike Linty. And I'm like, listen, there's not a woman alive during ⁓ that age ⁓ Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Shamus: Wouldn't say top five sexiest man of all time, kind of deal, or da da da. ⁓ he was everywhere in the 70s, eighties. Herbie: Spaghetti westerns. I mean and he just made like not only was he in like in great movies, he also directed great movies too. It's like he's Shamus: I was just gonna say Flags for our Fathers, Gran Torino, Trouble with the Curve, ⁓ Mystic River was a f amazing movie. ⁓ and one thing and I know him and Lean I forget what movie he did with Leo DiCaprio. ⁓ but there was a big write up about like how they didn't get along, how he was 'cause Clint's a one take guy. Like Clint's just like all right, ready, action. And when it takes over, it's like all right, we're moving on. a lot of people like working like that. Herbie: Fucking Yeah. Shamus: apparently Leonardo DiCaprio didn't. I don't know what movie we're talking about, but I did see it was written somewhere. But guys like Bradley Cooper when they did American Cyper loved it. ⁓ Justin Timberlake and Trouble with the Curve. He was like, dude, this is amazing. He was just like, We're knocked out this movie in like two weeks because he was just like, Yeah, it's good. Yeah. ⁓ The Mule was a great movie he directed and starred in. Cry Macho. ⁓ I ever every one of his movies are amazing. Herbie: Good movie. Who great is that he's like I can actually make a movie in like two weeks. Shamus: Like the rookie with him and Charlie Sheen in nineteen ninety was kind of but I mean I think he just started directing movies. Yeah. But dude, some of his shit in like the two thousands are just amazing. Yeah. And like I said, cool ass dude, man. ⁓ yeah. You know how many people or yeah, million dollar baby he directed too, right? Yeah. You know how many people were just like, dude I read the script and I was like, yeah, and they're like, Yeah, well Clinton's direct and they're like, sign me. I'm in Herbie: That you can box too, man. I'll do it. Shamus: Like when you're that guy in Hollywood, you're the man, bro. The Clinton East and some of the greatest iconic lines and characters. ⁓ my God. Philo Beto. ⁓ who else? All them Western like the Yeah, the spaghetti westerns and all the Pale Rider. like you said, your movies, ⁓ The Good, Bad, The Ugly. I'm a big fan of ⁓ The Outlaw of Josie Wales, Hang ⁓ High. ⁓ dude. Herbie: ⁓ yeah, dirty. Yeah. Yeah. Shamus: The guy is Heartbreak Ridge. God, Gunny Highway. Herbie: Bangers after bangers, man. Amazing. I know, he is badass man. It's just it it d you can tell that he's he's made it when he can actually hang out with an orangutan and make a funny like eighties movie. You know what mean? And it's a comedy. And he's like basically playing it straight really, you know. Shamus: Yeah, I mean it was so iconic that they even tried to do it like going bananas with Tony Danzer or something. Herbie: ⁓ I love that movie too, man. It's like going ape is like Shamus: Everybody wanted a name. They ⁓ B J and the Bear or whatever. Like it was it was crazy. He set that he set that whole trend in motion. Clint Eastwood by far one of the coolest cats on the planet. I don't know if I if I was an actor and I'm like, yo, who's who's directing this shit? They're like Clint Eastwood. I'd like I'd say I don't even know if I could I I wouldn't be able to act, dude. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. I would like bam. Do you think he'd come out of retirement if we asked him to do our pork rolling cheese movie? I don't you never know, man. You never know. Where where there's a will, there's a way. It's just you can only hope, man. Shamus: There's no way. ⁓ All right, who's your number two? Is he your number two too? Herbie: Yeah, I was yeah, I was gonna say it was like, bro, that's why we were talking about that before. I was like, Yeah, I fully wholeheartedly agree. Clint Eastwood, definitely. Okay. Shamus: So I'm gonna go with my number three then. The bad, bad man. Sir Sean Connor. Herbie: Aww Agent Double O seven. Shamus: ⁓ yeah, he was a Bond guy. He was definitely a Bond guy. ⁓ I didn't know him as a kid through that. Like I think the first movie I remember seeing was was The Untouchables. And as the Irish cop Herbie: Yeah. Great movie, dude. Great movie. Also in Highlander. Shamus: There's so many great lines in that movie. He's like, You wanna get Capone? I'll tell you how you get Capone. He puts one of yours in the hospital, you put two of his in the morgue. That's the Chicago way. That's how you get Capone. Herbie: That is a great movie. ⁓ shit. And it's going down in Chicago. Yeah. Yeah. Sean Connery's the best. Like one of the first movies he did that we still watched like during like St. Pay's Day is ⁓ Derby O'Gill and the Little People, man. I saw it. It's great, man. I'm telling you, check out Derby O'Gill. We were talking about before, like the movie The Rock. I remember seeing that in the movie theater. Shamus: kid you were just like hold Greatest line ever, movie history. Yeah. In that movie, Sean Conner. Herbie: Yeah. Well and what what's what's what's the line, Shane? Shamus: Your best. Losers always complain about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen. The cage is like my wife was the prom queen. But just the way Sean Connery says it, and I probably didn't do it any justice. Herbie: Yeah. ⁓ Nice. Shamus: To make him Indiana Jones' dad in the last crusade was absolutely amazing. That guy was awesome in that. Herbie: And you know the like the like that movie was great because he was so like intellectual, but he was like funny and smart and he basically just he went through the whole goddamn movie with an umbrella. Yep. You know what I mean? And he like he couldn't miss, but then like when at the very end when ⁓ Indiana Jones was still reaching for the grill, he was like, Indy, Indiana? Yeah. And just even made when you make Harrison Ford, you know, obey, yeah, you're a badass. Shamus: Yeah, you gotta be cool Howardson Ford to do that. Awesome. ⁓ Finding Forester was a great movie. Entrapment with Katherine Zeta Jones. ⁓ And for all you dudes out there, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Herbie: Yeah. ⁓ Lord is Catherine's Google everything right now like that when she's like ⁓ doing the you know the going over the late underneath the laser. ⁓ Yeah. Movie but I dug it. I dug him in it. Shamus: League of extraordinary gentlemen. ⁓ he's just a cool cat, man. Like everything he's touched was just amazing. Sean Conner. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah, that's that's that's the thing about the like the the four favorite people on Mount Rushmore. You just say their name and it's just like, there's so much you could say about these people. Shamus: ⁓ it's absolutely incredible. And it's like say it's a shame we lost that dude, man. He was a ⁓ Herbie: Yeah. Monster. There were so many. Like all right, well for me, I think ⁓ number three f I would say is James Earl Jones. Ooh. Yeah. The Lord Vader himself. He was just another classy man. It was just just classy and just like that voice is just reverberates into immortality. Like you hear his voice. It's just he made the second, you know, the the other half of Darth Vader. Like just that. When you just voice it the Shamus: Your voice, yeah, the baddest villain in cinematic movie history. It's like and everybody tries to mimic it or you know has their version of it or like I just try to do Sean Connery, but billions of people across the world, like he can walk into a restaurant in like India and just go, you know, I am your fucking and everybody's holy shit, it's you know Herbie: This is CNN. Holy shit. ⁓ Shamus: That guy. Not only that, but a lot of kids know him. Me I also know him through The Sand Line. Great movie. he was also the reporter in Field of Dreams. Yeah. That he bought out with him. He's like, Build it, Ray, and they will come you know what I mean? Herbie: ⁓ yeah, great movie. Yeah. Also in Patriot games, I mean he did so many great theater. Like he just commanded a presence also. Like when he touched the stage, it was just like he just commanded his presence. Shamus: It was in so much. There was an episode of House where he played like this dictator from Africa or something like that. But he was like really ruthless. Yeah. why he was in New York, you know, everybody knows the TV show House. Yeah. He gets sick. Only House can fix him because it's like some weird stuff. But the dude ends up dying because one of his assistants, the Australian guy. Herbie: Yeah. Kills him. Shamus: And he he plays such a horrible person in the cause we were like, if we don't kill this guy, he's gonna murder like genocide, like millions of and I'm still thinking to myself, don't do it, man. It's James Harold Jones. Don't do it! Herbie: Plus he's also the king of Zemunda, man, from coming to America. I was like Shamus: Jesus Christ. Did you ever see the episode of the Big Bang Theory? Yeah. Where they meet him and they go partying with him and stuff. He was like, You like Star Wars? Yeah. He was like, Yeah, it was like, me too. He said something. ⁓ They all up and they go to Carrie Fisher's house and do the knock knock zoom shit. Herbie: Another interesting fact, Carrie Fisher never met him during the filming of Star Wars. Shamus: Yeah, that's kinda crazy. I did read that somewhere. Herbie: Yeah, she was like so she's like, Apparently you're my father. Yeah, dude James OJ Shamus: To hear him say from a distance when Carrie Fisher comes out, she's like, It's not funny, James, Yes it is Herbie: He does. He just has like that iconic voice. Like even if you're not a nerd or nothing like that, I mean you hear his voice, you're like, ⁓ Jesus. There's like all these iconic characters have done so much in cinema for the past like fifty frickin' years, man. Shamus: Well let's do this, ⁓ since we're talking because he's probably the most iconic voice, but there's there's like one B, one C, like Sam Elliott is amazing. Morgan Freeman's voice. Like I love because every one of those guys have a meme and it's a picture interface, or like if you're reading this, you're reading this in my voice. And I'm like, Yeah, it's crazy. ⁓ wasn't ⁓ did James Earl Jones do Smoky in the Bear too? Herbie: But yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Shamus: You too could perform no, who the hell was that? They just had ⁓ on ⁓ somebody's thing. Herbie: No, it w it does ⁓ no James Earl Jones and then do Smokey the Bear. Shamus: Somebody else just did it. And it was iconic. I was like, ⁓ my God. Herbie: Like a new Smokey the Bear or are you talking about the OG Smokey the Bear? Shamus: ⁓ you you know, you too can prevent forest fires. Herbie: Nah, that's not James. Yeah, I was gonna say I was like that's definitely not James Earl Jones, man. Shamus: It was Sam Elliott, my fault. Yeah, he's probably the alpha male at all. That's Herbie: 'Cause like he doesn't even have to be in the goddamn room. You could just be on a goddamn intercom. Shamus: They said a lot of stuff he would just you know, they would send him tape to his house and he would record it and send it back. Like he's not even coming into a studio. Herbie: So imagine like he's like, you know, calling the buses at your school. Yep. Now serving bus seven. Like, ⁓ geez, I would flip my shit. ⁓ Dude, I would flip my shit, man. All right, so what we're on ⁓ what, number three? Shamus: Herbie, your father is here for parent pickup. Yeah, that was your number three. Yeah. ⁓ this is my last one. And we're gonna do I know we said two honorable mentions, but we'll do a couple more because this is actually going pretty fast. ⁓ my number four. Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: I mean icon of cool plays so many great parts and everybody knows well all right all right all right Matthew McConaughey That dude is first of all in Days Confused ⁓ t amazing character Yeah definitely ⁓ everybody has that one guy who graduates but still hangs out after a while ⁓ he does everything from Herbie: Yeah, he's cold. Shamus: Like what was that TV show? the something to true detectives. He did that. Yeah. He did the ⁓ the Dallas Byers Club where he lost all that weight because he was playing that AIDS dude. But then he turns around and does shit like he's ⁓ Tug Speedman's agent in Tropic Thunder. ⁓ which is a great Herbie: Yeah. He's just got like a wide range of like so many different types of movies. He's just very flexible. Shamus: Dude, ⁓ what was the movie ⁓ my god I love them commercials 'cause they're brothers. You ever see them credit card commercials? what was ⁓ the Lincoln lawyer was amazing. Yeah. ⁓ dude, there's not too much stuff. And then you just see him like chilling in that Lincoln. Yeah. Like the Lincoln commercials and stuff. And then I'd love because Jim Carrey spoofs him. Yeah. So ⁓ he was just like, Am I here? Am I and like his lips aren't even ⁓ is any of us here? He's like, I think I left my Lincoln running. Herbie: Yeah yeah. Yeah. Shamus: With the door open. And like Will Farrell's like, Yeah. Did you add blink to all this before? And he was like, Are you really? ⁓ Like Matthew McConaughey's one of the coolest dude. He does the stuff with Kate Hudson. He did a couple of movies with her I truly liked. ⁓ it's like I said, man, that guy just looks like he's a cool like he's on the sideline at the Texas Longhorn ⁓ Texas Games University of Texas. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he would just be like one of those dudes you just want to drink a beer with and just listen crank tunes with Shamus: ⁓ yeah, he's definitely one of those guys that's just not like, Hey man, let's go to like Chez Revere and he was just like, Bro, let's grab a six of slits and sitting at this bonfire house and just smoke cigars and talk about women and shit. Herbie: He'd be like, You think drinking goat milk in the middle of the desert is sick? You know what I've drank. I'm like, holy shit. Shamus: He was like I would slit the the the throat of that goat. Lud worn. But that's just what I would do 'cause I'm Matthew McConaughey. Herbie: And drink his blood. That's true. Yeah. That's a good one too, man. I like that. All right, let me see. My all right, so I guess ⁓ number four. My number four would be Anthony Hopkins. Man. ⁓ Shamus: That's a really good pick. ⁓ I totally you you totally forget about that dude, but he played so many iconic roles and was such a fucking he was a force. ⁓ I never saw a wolf. Herbie: Rolls, yeah. ⁓ yeah. Shamus: That was the mo was he in that movie with Jack Nicholson and ⁓ what was a werewolf? Herbie: Movie. No, that was ⁓ no Jack Nichols Jack Nicholson was in Wolf with ⁓ Michelle Pfeiffer and and our guy from the office ⁓ James Spader. Shamus: Yeah, he's playing me and the pork roll mother. He doesn't know yet, but as soon as we get clean out of retirement, we'll make it happen. Herbie: Well Joe Pesci does Yeah, Anthony Hopkins actually his one of his first movies that used to creep me out as a kid, he did a movie called Magic. And it was like ⁓ I mean of course back in the day came out in the 70s, but I used to see the commercial all the time when I was little kid. And it's basically he has this ⁓ puppet and he was like a failed comedian. And he goes away comes back. Yeah, Anthony Hopkins? Holy. That dude is just like classy. And you know, I once Yeah, I went say to Liver with a Kenneth Van Vapiens and a nice Keonti. Like that dude. Yeah, he's just he's he's just like another like classy debonier guy. Shamus: ⁓ yeah. We still got movies coming out. I'm having my doctor over for dinner. Herbie: And he's just like, you like even like in the Transformers like last night, he's just like quoting Shakespeare and it's just like it's just like he's an educated man where he really does fit the bill where you go into like a large, you know, mansion and he's just sitting in the library, just you know, sitting in the leather chair with his, you know, leg over his other leg just with his He was Wolfman with the ⁓ what's his face? Yeah. Yeah. Shamus: Well, he was in the Wolfman in 2010 with The Hispanic guy, who I like too. Benicio del Toro. I love that commercial where you're sitting somewhere and he was like, when you're a celebrity like me, and he's got the credit card, they're like, look, it's ⁓ and they call him the dude from Desperado. Antonio Banderas, like, look, it's Antonio Banderas. And he just looks at the camera like, turn it off. Herbie: That was that was a fine That would Yeah. Shamus: ⁓ yeah. I loved Anthony Hopkins. Well, first of he's Stor's dad. Odin. Yeah, he's Odin. So I mean, you gotta be a bad dude to do that. loved him ⁓ Meet Joe Black. ⁓ Him pairing him with Brad Pitt was amazing. there were so many other he was fucking Zorro. Great movie. ⁓ Herbie: ⁓ definitely anti. Yeah. I mean Yeah. Yeah. What's the one with like ⁓ Alec Baldwin when they went into the wild or whatever and then like the the grizzly bear was tracking him down? ⁓ I have in the hunt or something like that. Yeah, I knew there's probably people yelling at the Shamus: ⁓ ⁓ yeah, there's a ton of I like you said, Hannibal, Red Dragon. ⁓ he was the narrator of ⁓ how the Grince Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah, see another one with like an iconic voice, you know? ⁓ Legends of Falls fantastic movie, man. But yeah, if you ever get a chance, like that little that puppet from the movie Magic that he did when he was young, it used to creep me out as a kid. Shamus: He's j ⁓ my god, Legends of the Fall, great movie. He was in the track hell movie with Gary Oldman. He was playing Helsing. Yeah. So yeah, I mean that Herbie: He's like she is the devil's concubine. I remember seeing that in the movie theaters too, man. But yeah, he's definitely like he he's he and it it's like his face and like Christopher Lee just looks like they would belong like as a sculpture. You know what I mean? It's like almost like in a university you go or like in the in the Jedi archives. Yeah. It's like that's yeah, definitely. Shamus: Yeah. It's like the bust. Yeah, ⁓ it's like I said, it's he was in and meet Joe Black, amazing dude. ⁓ yeah. Ama I just love cause you hear his voice as he's having a heart attack. Like, yes. And he was like, What? And he's like, Yes, you were having ⁓ you know, da da da Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: I thought the ending was great. Yeah. Because when they were leaving the part, like when he was supposed to be dying. Yeah. And he looks at Brad Pitt and he's like, Do I have to worry about any of this? And he was like a man like you? No, you don't have to worry about where you're going. And I was like, ⁓ that's what's up. He's taking ⁓ he's taking ⁓ north. Herbie: That's cool. Yeah. So Yeah. Back to Valhalla. Shamus: That and I love in that movie where Brad Dick Pick gets hit by the car. He got railing. I mean he's in a laundry mat with her and she was like, okay, mine He turns around like Herbie: He deserves it, man. That dude. I mean he was cool in like what was it, Dawn of the Dead, the remake Dawn of the Dead. He was a cool dude, but in that movie, ⁓ he deserved that shit, man. It was like one of those movie deaths where like, yes It was like kinda it was like kinda funny too, the way like he went. Shamus: Well, when he plays Death and Meet Joe, but one of the greatest scenes he also has in that movie is with the Jamaican grandmother. She's like, ⁓ you're on vaccase. He was like, ⁓ don't worry, I'm on vaccine or I'm on holiday. I'm on holiday. She'd like, You picked it crazy. ⁓ Herbie: Yeah. Yeah, you'll all be ⁓ you would be all be a defin yeah, definitely Anthony Hopkins, man. Shamus: Yeah, that's that is a great movie. Yeah, Anthony Hopkins is awesome. I I thought he was great. He's one of it's like my grandfather. He's got that in the mask of Zorro, that charm like when he tells him he's I'm gonna give you something that will totally he's like, What? He was like charm. He was like, This is gonna take a lot of work. Yeah, Anthony Hopkins is a monster too. All right, let's do some honorable mentions. Okay. All right, you lead this one off. Go ahead. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. I I I got two. ⁓ okay. ⁓ well of course I gotta have to say my my man Captain Solo Harrison Ford. It's my boy. I expect Shamus: Yeah. He's still acting too, man. I haven't seen all shrinking, but I heard it's really good. Herbie: Yeah, definitely Harrison Foreman 'cause he really came out with one of the best movie lines too. She's like, I love you. I know. It's a it's like the coolest like cool. Cooly shit. Yeah. Shamus: That's yeah. Yeah, and I love how they flip it later on when he's I love you and she's like, I know. Is let me ask you this, because I haven't seen have you seen Shrinking yet? No. ⁓ then we'll w I'll ask Jay or something. Because I saw a clip on ⁓ It was like on the internet or something like that. Like Michael J. Fox was comes out on stage, I guess, 'cause he has Parkinson's. And I guess that shows about Park. But like Harrison Ford like walks out with him and all that stuff. I thought that was all like those are two icons right there. So and I was like, man, I I wonder if Michael J. Fox is on the show or Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. I mean like you're freaking Han Solo and you're freaking Indiana Jones. It's like she's you know what mean? Just he's just awesome. You know? And he's funny too. He's got that dry humor, but he's just like cool as shit. Shamus: Yeah. Yeah, I can't argue that man. He was it's like I said, he was another one my mom liked. And I re I pff late seventies, early eighties, he was that guy. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, definitely. And he can party to him, like, God bless him. Shamus: I just loved in all them indie movies. That piece belongs to the museum. Everything Herbie: Those movies were great, dude. And it's just like the just the fact that, you know, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were like, Yeah. There's like no other question who's gonna be Indiana Jones. You know. Shamus: I was gonna say my number one honorable mention is Paul Newman. ⁓ Paul Newman, he probably should have made the Mount Rushmore, but it's like I said, he kinda Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: Towards the end he was I mean he was awesome in Road to Perdition. Like that scene at the end where he's just like, I'm glad it was you and he's like Tommy gun guns him down. ⁓ you know, slap shot, obviously. My favorite movie of all time, my number one is Cool Hand Luke. Ball Newman. ⁓ Herbie: Yeah, that is ⁓ Yeah. ⁓ yeah, yeah. Dude, how many times did he escape in that freaking movie, man? It's like every other week that send him postcards and shit with the with the girls. ⁓ it's great. Shamus: Yeah, couldn't keep. Bro, the fucking egg part. I was like So What was it? ⁓ Color of Money with Tom Cruise. I mean the guy was in everything, he was amazing. So and he just reeked of cool, man. Like the guy raced cars ⁓ that's how he ended up getting hurt. Yeah. Pretty bad. got his own ⁓ salad dressing and barbecue sauce. I mean ⁓ Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. Newman's own is good, man. Shamus: That guy, he was like one of the first guys to start branding stuff like that. and like every time you see him like in a different picture and stuff from like the seven he's got like a different I don't know if he's ever been married, like he's got like a different chick with him. Yeah. So yeah, Paul Newman is like the essence of Herbie: Yeah, he has a badass dude. Shamus: Yeah. And like I said, like getting back real quick because we kinda like overlooked this. I mean, w all these guys we mentioned, when you see them in pictures like offset or something like that, they were always wearing cool shit, man. Yeah. Like they always just look like Matthew McConaughey could like go to a goddamn goodwill and just walk in and be like, hey man, just hand me something. Yeah, like they would throw and like he would make that shit look right. Yeah. Exactly. So yeah, like every time you saw Clint East, what he could have a shirt half open and stuff like that. And like I'm not into that shit, but the dude looks cool. Yeah. Chicks are eating it up. Herbie: ⁓ hell yeah, man. Shamus: All right. Who's your next one? Herbie: Honorable mention is for me growing up as like the coolest guy, but also the fact that outside of his character is that he's just genuinely a nice kind man. And I would say Henry Winkler as the Fonz. ⁓ Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He was just like, you know, it's just cause like Shamus: All right. I'm glad he made somebody's list. Herbie: He he was, you know, happy days. I grew up watching happy days and you know, finds I was like a little kid walking around going, Hey, hey. So just like seeing him, like the character that he played there and it was just like it was it was a good character as far as like he wasn't like a bad person. Like he was like that That cool guy that stuck up for Richie and all them. He was always there to make sure the family was okay. And then just that not only that, it's like the type of person that he was outside. Cause ⁓ I always wanted to meet him at the Comic Cons, but I've I haven't, you know, had a chance to meet him anymore. I just heard he's just like a really genuine, kind man. So it's just like it's just there you can actually have that that air of coolness to you, but that genuine kindness, I think, is like a a very like cool quality in in a in a man. Shamus: Well, see, that's why I don't understand because like everybody who talks about him as a director, as a person. I used to watch that there was a TV show on VH1 back in the day before they did all that reality bullshit. It was like Scott Bay was 45 and single, and then like the follow-up to it was Scott Beo's 46 and pregnant because he ended up knocking up this chick. ⁓ they got married and all that stuff. But like he was on the show and like then him and Chachi, you know, Fonz and Chachi, they still talk to this day. And they're he seems like the nicest person. I can't understand why he would have Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: He would have been fired. Like Tom Hanks had him fired from that movie. Boom. Yeah. Like how the hell? Like every I've never heard a bad thing said about Henry Winkler at all. Adam Sandler loved him when he was the coach of Waterboy. ⁓ I know. Like ⁓ Sylvester Salone w thanked him for his crit 'cause he was in ⁓ the Lord the Flatbush or whatever that movie was and like Henry Winkler pushed to have him on that movie. They didn't want him, but he was like, yo, you gotta have this kid. So I mean, everything he's ever done, like everybody's always Herbie: Flat push is a good movie, yeah. Shamus: Giving him props and for some reason Tom Hanks Which is weird because Tom's the same way. Herbie: I think that that's Or maybe maybe ⁓ I don't know. Maybe I think like ⁓ he he was more hungry with his career earlier, Tom Hanks was, and then when he started like, you know, just rolling, he probably just you know like didn't look back and you know, it's gotta get his career together and forget who Shamus: I don't know. They both seem like pretty cool dudes, man. So ⁓ my next one, my second honorable mention is Michael Madsen. That is a bad man. ⁓ this was a toss up between him and Mickey Vork. Herbie: Awww yeah. ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Shamus: But ⁓ Mickey's having some problems lately. Really? Yeah. Yeah, apparently he's homeless. ⁓ Like they throw him out of his apartment. Yeah, they throw him out of his apartment and shit. Damn it. But ⁓ but I mean, don't get me wrong, Cool ass dude. Mickey Rourke is that guy is ⁓ that's kind of what makes him cool in a way. I don't want to take away from Michael Mattson's time, but like Mickey Rivork's one of those guys, like one day he's like a millionaire and the next day he's home with his shit. He's just like it's gonna be all right, man. I'll just get another movie. Andrew Dice Clay had a ⁓ a TV show for like two seas it was awesome. I think he said his career started to take off again so he he didn't have time to do it. It was called Dice. And basically it was his everyday life but like the characters in it were played by actors. Yeah like his wife was somebody different Herbie: He's that uncle living on your couch. Shamus: Is ⁓ his best friend was a guy ⁓ Milkshake. But it was played by the dude Kevin Corrigan. Okay. You know who he is? Herbie: ⁓ okay. ⁓ I th I the name sounds familiar, but if ⁓ watch watch when I put Shamus: I ⁓ D B, you'll know exactly who he is. This guy's in everything, bro. He's in the pineapple express, he's in true romance. But anyway, he plays Dice's best friend. ⁓ and the show was amazing, one episode is Dice ⁓ he's he walks out in his backyard at the end of a bad day. And all of a sudden you hear, it's time, brother. And he looks over, it's fucking Mickey Rourke in his backyard. He was like, It's time for what? He was like, Remember that party back in I think like the early nineties at the MTV Music Awards and we all drunk up and said, ⁓ No f we're still alive. fifty five or whatever. Like we didn't want to live to be old, man, because old's not cool. Kill each other. And Tyson's like, are you fucking kidding you how drunk and coked up I was that night? He was like, Doesn't matter, brother. I got it written down. It's a contract. Get your get your affairs in order. So for like a week, like every once in a while, like during the week, like he'll just look over and like Mickey Roarks, like, it's time. And he's like, I will get the fuck away. And then something happens at the end where he's like, Mickey Roarks, like, all right, brother, let's do this. And like Herbie: Yeah, he was in Superbad too. Shamus: They light this fucking place on fire, but somehow they live. Like Dice is like, Will you shut the fuck up now? Like we tried it, it didn't work. Get the fuck dude. But like Mickey Rourke's like this creepy dude. It's fucking hysterical. Like Mickey Rourke is he's up there, but I gotta go with Michael Madsen in this one, man. Michael Madsen, just the way he looked, the way he moved, reservoir dogs, killbill, ⁓ species. Yeah. just an awesome Herbie: Thanks. Shamus: Awesome actor, dude. Like, and even off, like one of my favorite pictures is a picture of him on this like chopper, like this custom chopper like the guy loved motorcycles, he loved like old trucks. ⁓ dude, it just an awesome, awesome dude, man. Like, just cool. Like everything about that guy just reeked of cool. Like, if cool had a smell, it would smell like Michael. Maybe not now because he's been dead for a minute. ⁓ Like, ⁓ man, guy in the bus colour. Herbie: Yeah. Cologne. Shamus: One fucking ri that guy he just and it's a shame because like When he was younger he was such a handsome man and all that stuff. But like as he got older, you could still like he was just still such a cool fucking dude, man. Like even like he was in the Hateful Eight, like that's when he started, you know, really kind of falling off a bit. 'Cause ⁓ because of his health and all that stuff. But man, he you know, just unbelievable. Herbie: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shame too, and there's so many people like on our Mount Rushmore list are they're not here anymore, man. Shamus: Yeah, it's like I said we're losing but ⁓ it's like I said there's there's some up and coming guys. Like I love Ryan Ryan Gossing, he's pretty cool dude. He looks like he's pretty cool. Yeah, Ki yeah, Keanu's kind of teetering on that, him, Brad Pitt, ⁓ George Clooney's kind of weird. Herbie: Yeah, I mean. Yeah, the only thing I like like Shamus: He's a good dresser and all that stuff. I'm not a really big fan. Unless he's in a movie with Brad Pitt, I'm not really big into I love the Oceans movies, 11, 12, and 13. ⁓ Wolves, the one that just came out with him and Brad Pitt was pretty good. ⁓ They have chemistry together and they're pretty good friends, you could tell. ⁓ who else? Did you name you got both your honorable mentions, right? Yeah. ⁓ you know, Nicholas Cage is always in that conversation too. ⁓ Bruce Willis was definitely in that conversation for a while. Bruce Willis is a cool ass dude, man. ⁓ I kinda liked him in their you know, one of my my favorite T V show of all time is Moonlighting. Yeah. ⁓ the first three seasons. You know, once he made Die Hard it kind of really took a dump because he just wasn't as interested. Yeah. But ⁓ the first three seasons just amazing. Herbie: Yeah. Skyrocketed too with his ⁓ with his career, man. Shamus: Well, that's what I'm saying. Once he made Die Hard, they were and offers start lining up, he was like, Yeah, Civil Shepherds Headline Herbie: Yeah. Yeah, fight all the time or something, right? They like didn't like each other or some shit like that. Shamus: Well all well, what happened was and I'll give you the quick rundown. Show starts, they hire an unknown. He wasn't even known, like he's never done anything before. ⁓ Sybil Shepherd was the was the draw, you know. and then as it started to really take off, he was feeling himself But it really started to go sideways after he made Die Hard because then he came in and was just kinda like Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: It's just a TV show. I'm gonna be a huge movie star. And then she got pregnant. She got pregnant and then he was getting pissed off because we have to shoot around her schedule after she had the kids. And I and he was just kinda like, Yeah, I gotta go. ⁓ Herbie: He's like Yeah. Shamus: Yeah, but ⁓ to an e to an extent I kinda thought it was jerked off because you don't do moonlighting, you don't get die hard. And you you kinda and I get it. You take what you can get when you can get it. Like if you're hot, you you hit strike by the iron tie kind of deal and you move on. Herbie: Yeah. What if he did like moonlighting for like, you know, another six seasons or some shit like that and he passed up all this other crap? It could be like ⁓ great show, but he that's it. He becomes like typecast just to do Shamus: Yeah. also frustrated with the way they were doing the show. They were writing it as they were like if you ever get a chance, watch a documentary on Moon Landing. It's pretty crazy how they were absolutely actually able to hold it together for five seasons. Cause like they would be doing rewrites as like they're acting. Like the script wouldn't come out until like five minutes before like, all right, here's the scene in action. Like it was crazy. Guys weren't sleeping, like writers and stuff, 'cause they were up all night trying to figure shit out and And how it all came together, because that show, the first three seasons of that show were amazing, dude. Hysterical. Herbie: Yeah, well actually I'm gonna mention your dude too, man, and ⁓ my guy too. ⁓ Val Kilmer. ⁓ Val yeah, just Val man. Yeah, that's another huge hit too. It's like Jesus Shamus: That was You mean the epitome of cool is Iceman. Herbie: Fucking Val Kilmer, man. Shamus: Anthony Edwards even said it. It's how he flies, cold as ice. Wears you down, you do something stupid, and he's got ya. No mistakes. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ How camera was a Shamus: Yeah, man, there's a bunch of ⁓ out there. I mean, they're kind of like on the edge of cool. Like who's the guy ⁓ in the Wick movies that runs the Continental? Herbie: Yeah. ⁓ yeah, he's got Shamus: Well the black dude he died too. The guy who works with that was a cool ass dude. But ⁓ the guy who owns ⁓ like runs it. Herbie: He was yeah, he's he's he's been a bunch. Actually he did a movie with ⁓ The Rock. It was like a Hercules movie. I dug it. Shamus: What was well the the remake of Death Race with ⁓ Jason Stasem, he was in that too. ⁓ yeah. He was the mechan ⁓ the head mechanic for Frankenstein's team. Herbie: He definitely has a voice too. Plus he was also at the stepdad in Hot Rod. And he can also do comedy too, man, because he was like he was ⁓ he was in Hot Rod as the stepdad, and it was freaking hilarious, man. That movie Hot Rod is like one of those movies where Shamus: We forgot about my man too. Who? Charlie Sheen. Charlie's a cool dude, man. I listen, that guy is Herbie: ⁓ Charlie? Well yeah, Charlie. Lived a life. That's it Yeah. Shamus: Yeah, I was just gonna say, like ⁓ the stories that he could tell and all that, ⁓ my god. And the women Herbie: ⁓ yeah. ⁓ Shamus: Good Lord. Herbie: And now you now you can go down the rabbit hole, man, be ⁓ my god. Shamus: Yeah, well I mean, it's like I said, there's certain guys that just if like you said, you're you're going down yeah you're chasing Scott Beo, Jerry McConnell. Herbie: Yeah. Holy 80s guys. Yeah. Pat Shamus: ⁓ Ian McShane is that guy's name. Herbie: ⁓ okay. Patrick Swayze. Shamus: Yeah, yeah, we lost him too young. That was a cool ass dude. Herbie: Sleeper movie they did was called Steel Dawn. It was like a goddamn almost like a Mad Max type movie. Sleeper movie. Good though. Mm-hmm. Shamus: ⁓ we forgot my name. Idris Albert? What the hell's that? Herbie: Yeah he was ⁓ at the stadium. Yeah, he is. Yeah he is. He's also man at arms in the the new He Man movie. Yeah Benicio, yeah. Shamus: That's a cool ass do. I like Benicio Del Toro. It's like I said, that seems like that guy seems like he's a lot of fun to hang out with. I love that commercial where he's sitting there and he's like, ⁓ we celebrities get to the same and everybody will recognize me wherever I go. And they're just like they knock on the window and he looks over, he gives away like, Hey, it's Antonio Benderas and he's like Herbie: I think. I like Antonio Bender's too. He's like suave and stuff too, man. Shamus: Absolute ⁓ dude, the desperado movie the chemistry he has with Catherine Zenich. ⁓ no, what's her name? That's so Herbie: Yeah. Yeah, that's my g ⁓ that's my girl right there, man. Thirteenth Warrior. I love that movie. Shamus: She's fixing him on the county. He's like, get over, you're crazy. Herbie: Yes, I'm like, ⁓ gosh, she is very nice. They also did a great job in Thirteenth Warrior too. I love that movie. I actually like Lewis Gossett Jr., Dennis Quaid. Shamus: ⁓ Lewis Cossett Junior Herbie: Yeah. Dennis Quaid. They actually one of my favorite movies they was like a Enemy Mine. It's like that sci-fi movie. Shamus: Listen, officer and a gentleman. Like I'd say Richard G Richard Gere's in that category too of cool. my God. Well, Tom Cruise, I guess you guys Herbie: Yeah, I mean the dude does his own stunts, man. I'm like, Jesus Christ. Well like one of my favorite movies that Tom Cruise did was a movie called Taps with Timothy Hutton and Sean. Yeah. Shamus: Yeah. That's one of his first ones. ⁓ Herbie: Yeah, definitely. But I love it like Tim that's when like Timothy Utton was like up there. Shamus: Yeah, there's a bunch of people in that movie though. Sean Penn's in that movie too, right? Yeah. There's a b that's when they were really young. That's another dude. Sean Penn. Herbie: Yeah. He did a movie called Bad Boys that I love. That's a great movie. Shamus: Man, about juveniles. ⁓ juvenile detention. ⁓ what was the movie he well, Mystic River was probably my favorite one he was in. But ⁓ what was it? ⁓ at Close Range? Awesome movie. Herbie: Yeah. Yeah. Also I am Sam. Love that movie. Yeah. Yeah, it did a great job in that. ⁓ well. Yeah, that dude's just like, yeah. Yeah. One of my favorite movies is Chaplin. He did. My mom loves that movie, Chaplin. 'Cause like you you really see like these types of actors, they can their their range is so wide. Cool as shit, but they're also like when they do a f comedy, it's it's freaking funny as shit. Shamus: Robert Robert Downey Jr.' another one. No doubt. Yeah, man. Yeah, I was watching ⁓ such a shit movie. ⁓ basketball with the guys from South Park. I've never seen it before. And a buddy of mine, if you're listening, Jeff, Mr. Gomez, I've watched it because I remember in the military you were like, You gotta watch this movie. And I was just like, I'm not watching this shit. I was bored last night after I got done mom. I I couldn't get off the couch. I was like, let me just watch this thing. And if it was exactly what I thought it would be. ⁓ but Herbie: ⁓ yeah. Yeah. Shamus: The part where they're drinking with the make a wish kid and they're doing all the shots and shit. Like when they take him to the hospital and the nurse is like, ⁓ my god, this kid smells like Robert Dowdy Jr. I was like, Holy shit, man, you really date that movie because that's when he was going through. That was right before he went back to Ally Mc well he went to Ally McBeale to resurrect this great Herbie: Yeah, yeah. Well really look how like he was and not only that he able to triumph through all that stuff and look where he's at now. You know I mean? Shamus: Yeah, there's a there's a couple guys out there that would I mean just I mean we're missing a ton. Herbie: Yeah. Well mailbag for all the listeners. You know? Let us know what you guys think. Yeah. You guys are probably like yelling at half the stuff because you know this is you know, we are again it's another first take and we just go bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. And we're yeah, we might miss some stuff, but Shamus: Yeah. I don't know if he was cool. Like I guess you could call him cool. He looks like a cool dude to hang out with. Is Bill Murray's another one? A lot of people overlook. Like when you see him on TV, like doing stuff like outside of like Hollywood or whatever movies and stuff. He looks like just like a down-to-earth dude. Just like, hey man, let's go get a burger and a beer and kick it somewhere. Herbie: ⁓ yeah. Yeah. And play golf. Yeah. I heard he's a pretty good golfer too. Shamus: Yeah, well yeah, I mean he owns ⁓ doesn't he own a caddyshack themed golf? Herbie: He's got so many goddamn iconic movies too. It's Shamus: And that guy so he seems like such a good time, like because him and Chevy Chase don't get along. A lot of people don't like Chevy Chase. And yeah, I kind of side with Bill Murray. I'm like, yeah. Yeah. Chevy Chase is an asshole. If Bill Murray doesn't like you, you got a problem with yourself. Yeah. So all right. I guess we should ⁓ another one real quick. We forgot. He's definitely cool. Johnny Depp. Herbie: Well yeah, come on man, Jack Sparrow, baby. And like another one of the Shamus: Hell yeah. Anybody who could play the main character in a Hunter S. Thompson movie, the rum diaries, Fearing and Loathing in Las Vegas, ⁓ and nail it it Herbie: Yeah. Cool dude. I still like one of my favorite movies, and it's like so low budget is like What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Great movie. Shamus: Yeah, I was great movie. ⁓ Sleepy Hollow is one of my favorite Halloween movies. ⁓ what I mean, he was in so many goddamn movies. Herbie: Yeah. ⁓ Johnny Depp is the bomb. Yeah, he goes from 21 Jump Street and just, you know. And then not only that, the fact that he'll go to like, you know, like children's that's yeah, that is just like classy and it's just and the dude can play a guitar, man. You know, these guys just jam out. These these a lot of these dudes, bro, I'm telling you, would actually be like us chilling in the backyard like we normally do, have a bonfire, cranking beers, cranking tunes, and half of these some bitches would be here and we just have a fucking great time. Shamus: Yes, that's when he's dressed as sparrow. Yep. And then somebody would fuck it up. shit. ⁓ Herbie: Yeah, Bob Thornton is also for me too. ⁓ Yeah. Billy Bob 'cause I love him when he died the slang bite and I don't mind ⁓ Shamus: Well, that's a good one. Who's the guy that plays Rip on Yellowstone? That guy looks like he's pretty cool too. He was in a top movies in Days Confused. He was in second Fast and Furious movie. ⁓ Yeah, he he seems like he'd be a pretty cool dude to hang out with. Yeah, Billy Bob Thornton. Herbie: Yeah. Anyone's listening, like Billy Bob Thornton, if you ever get a chance, cause another one of my great movies that I love is Sling Blade, watch it in French. You will laugh your ass off. Just get a couple of beers, get some wings, watch Sling Blade in French. I've seen like clips. Shamus: Have you seen him in Landman? Listen, he is not that character. He is Billy Bob fucking Thornton in that show. Dude, some of the shit that he says, ⁓ fucking. I laugh so hard. It's like a mix between him and Bad Santa. ⁓ my Herbie: Death. ⁓ bad I saw. ⁓ Shamus: this shit that he says to cause ⁓ the chick the whipped cream bikini bikini chicken varsity blues Ali Louder she's actually from Cherry Hill Yeah she's actually his his wife in it. Yeah. ⁓ my God. The the shit did they say to each other, dude you're just like what? Yeah and she's like this raving lunatic that he's gotta talk down and some of the shit that he says to her. ⁓ my God. You're right. Billy Bob Thornton might Herbie: And in real life, I mean he was banging Angelina Jolie and stuff. ⁓ my god, dude, he was Shamus: Wore each other's blood around their necks like vials of blood. Herbie: You knocked that box out and she's wearing the necklace with your blood, yeah, you knocked that box out. Shamus: Have you ever seen the episode of ⁓ him on the Rogan experience? No. ⁓ my God. Cause he was just like he's just like, so Rogan's like, so how'd you get your started? He's I don't even know. He's like, What do you mean? He was like, I was like a waiter at like one of these restaurants and somebody's like, Hey, you should act. I was like, Act like what? Like Herbie: Yeah. Shamus: It was just like, you know, I'm in a room with like all these people who are beautiful. He like, I'm an ugly ass dude smoking s marlboro some shit and just like I don't even know what the fuck I'm doing. I was crying, dude. That guy is hysterical. Herbie: Yeah. Actually, I have one of his movies. It was a Trauma ville movie like The Toxic Avenger. He was in a movie called Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town. Shamus: I think they bought that up on the road. 'Cause they asked him like his early movie. He was like, I didn't think I was gonna do anything. He was like I was in a movie called Chopper Chicks and Herbie: ⁓ yeah, you gotta you gotta check that movies and get Yeah. Shamus: But yeah, he's a fun i if you get a chance on a podcast dude, dad is a funny ass dude. Herbie: Listen up. And everybody, all you listeners, watch Sling Blade in French. You will laugh your ass off. Shamus: Another dude ⁓ doesn't get a lot of credit, he's kind of older and stuff. One of the greatest ⁓ police mugshots of all time is Nick Nolte. That is a cool and all the stuff he did, like ⁓ North Dallas 40, 48 hours, another 48 hours, down and down in Beverly Hills, and then he kinda fell off for a while because he was like a huge truck. But then he came back into that ⁓ warrior ⁓ the Pelican Bruce Yeah, he was Herbie: Well yeah. And out in Beverly. Also I did the Pelican brief too.
