- 0:11Speaker 1: each other.

- 0:21Speaker 5: It's off the bench, all right, welcome back in now
- 0:41Speaker 5: remember three O, TB one, O four five, ESPN Baton Rouge.
- 0:46Speaker 6: Let's go to the phone lines now. It is Tuesday
- 0:49Speaker 6: at nine A.
- 0:50Speaker 3: M our guy Nick Underhill, New Orleans Dot Football joins us. Now, Nicholas,
- 0:56Speaker 3: how are we doing, sir, glad to have you back on.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Jacob doing great, doing great. Matthew, you know, glad to
- 1:02Speaker 2: be here.
- 1:02Speaker 7: We're glad to have you.
- 1:03Speaker 6: And we just full named everybody. I love this, I mean, Nicholas, Jacob, Matthew.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Let's go all right, all right, all right, let's break
- 1:11Speaker 3: it all down. We got some game action to talk
- 1:14Speaker 3: about here, by the way, Like I'm assuming you you've
- 1:17Speaker 3: been in California the whole time, right, I.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Got out of here today. Oh the first two is yeah. Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It was like a like a like a like a
- 1:26Speaker 2: live stream like watch thing like live analysis on our
- 1:29Speaker 2: website and everything, so we were trying not out. We
- 1:32Speaker 2: actually bought like a like a huge dam. We're going
- 1:34Speaker 2: to park outside the games and like do it outside
- 1:36Speaker 2: the games and then going after and cover like the access.
- 1:39Speaker 2: So that's what we're doing this year.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Well that sounds incredible. It's literally like a van down
- 1:45Speaker 3: by the river, the Mississippi River.
- 1:47Speaker 6: So there you go, Yes, I can. I can appreciate that.
- 1:50Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:51Speaker 3: So biggest takeaways maybe from the game from us whenever
- 1:55Speaker 3: we broke it down yesterday was the starting offensive line,
- 1:59Speaker 3: a group that we felt really good about not having
- 2:02Speaker 3: their best day. And I know it wasn't a ton
- 2:04Speaker 3: of snaps, but it was not good. Now Interior, I
- 2:08Speaker 3: thought the tackles actually played well. But Caesar Ruiz is
- 2:12Speaker 3: somebody that I'm just looking for some consistency, like just
- 2:15Speaker 3: be consistent a couple of games in a row, and
- 2:18Speaker 3: he had like rookie.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Mistakes with his technique.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Was kind of his assignment like that to me is
- 2:24Speaker 3: a little troublesome just considering where he's at in his career.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Nick, Yeah, it's funny because we were talking about it
- 2:32Speaker 2: on our show, and like I said, right, Garden's actually
- 2:34Speaker 2: like my biggest concern at the offensive line through multiple
- 2:37Speaker 2: weeks of training camp, like more so than Trevor Penning
- 2:40Speaker 2: at that point, like we had just seen so many
- 2:43Speaker 2: like little things, little hiccups, little like what's going on
- 2:46Speaker 2: here in this has got to like you should be
- 2:49Speaker 2: able to just bank on it. And I really think
- 2:51Speaker 2: throughout his career, like the only year I thought he
- 2:53Speaker 2: was like actually like good good was the first year
- 2:57Speaker 2: Doug Marome was here, and it was just like that
- 3:00Speaker 2: of like just like like you know, marn just like
- 3:02Speaker 2: dogs these guys. Man, like he's I think he's a
- 3:05Speaker 2: tough coach in a twenty twenty five world, Like I
- 3:08Speaker 2: don't I don't know that he fits with everybody, and
- 3:10Speaker 2: I definitely know he didn't fit with everybody on that
- 3:13Speaker 2: offensive line, but something about that type of coaching, like
- 3:16Speaker 2: I think really quick with Caesar, and that was the
- 3:18Speaker 2: one year where it was like man, this guy's like
- 3:20Speaker 2: he's starting to put it together. And I think it's
- 3:23Speaker 2: just some really inconsistent since then, and it's kind of
- 3:27Speaker 2: it's frustrating to see you got that second contract and
- 3:29Speaker 2: like he shouldn't. You shouldn't be seeing the stuntry scene
- 3:32Speaker 2: with him, and absolutely I thought it showed up here
- 3:34Speaker 2: and I thought it was a continuation of what we
- 3:36Speaker 2: saw in camp. You know, I was hoping maybe when
- 3:39Speaker 2: it got a little more physical that that you see
- 3:41Speaker 2: it change for him, maybe for the better. I don't
- 3:44Speaker 2: know that we got that proof positive. Definitely in my
- 3:46Speaker 2: top of list of concerning things. The interior overall, Kyle
- 3:50Speaker 2: Herbal I thought was pretty disappointing. He was a bright
- 3:53Speaker 2: spot last year in you know, training camp and going
- 3:56Speaker 2: into the season. You know, one of them guys that
- 3:59Speaker 2: was like a riser. I don't think we saw from him.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Simpkins I thought was pretty solid. Now, like the run
- 4:03Speaker 2: blocking was a little bit spottier than the pass pro.
- 4:06Speaker 2: But you know, after he came in, you know, I
- 4:09Speaker 2: think he's somebody that I'm looking at maybe at the
- 4:11Speaker 2: end of the fifty three maybe maybe a little bright
- 4:13Speaker 2: spot there. But yeah, I agree, I mean, overall I
- 4:15Speaker 2: thought it was it was a little spotty.
- 4:18Speaker 8: What's the like, what's been the feedback from the code.
- 4:21Speaker 8: I know they've had to answer questions, media questions and
- 4:24Speaker 8: players like it. Have they talked about the running game,
- 4:27Speaker 8: Have they talked about how it wasn't good enough and
- 4:30Speaker 8: what they plan on doing about it from this this
- 4:32Speaker 8: point forward in training camp.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah, today it will be like the first access post
- 4:38Speaker 2: post game. Look, you go down Hendrewick Miller's run six
- 4:42Speaker 2: runs and five out of the six you see a
- 4:44Speaker 2: failed play by like a blocker and he ends up
- 4:47Speaker 2: averaging two point five yards and on the one play
- 4:49Speaker 2: it was block well, I mean like actually there's there's
- 4:52Speaker 2: a free runner coming to the middle and he's just
- 4:54Speaker 2: bouncing outside like so just like another miss assignment there
- 4:59Speaker 2: really so it was six for but like he was
- 5:00Speaker 2: just running away from the from the bus. But like
- 5:03Speaker 2: if it had been like a beat slower, he's getting
- 5:05Speaker 2: blown up in the backfield.
- 5:07Speaker 9: You know.
- 5:07Speaker 2: The first one is Brandon cook Smith's in a block,
- 5:09Speaker 2: so it isn't it wasn't just like all offensive line.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So five of them, Like there's five bad plays, but
- 5:14Speaker 2: like where he had a little bit of space, like
- 5:16Speaker 2: he's making plays, I mean his five yard running, he
- 5:19Speaker 2: gets the last three by himself after you know, the
- 5:21Speaker 2: runs getting blown up you know right as the line.
- 5:25Speaker 2: It's a problem. Yeah, I mean, no doubt about it.
- 5:27Speaker 2: And they're gonna have to be able to run the
- 5:28Speaker 2: ball well, like This isn't just like a minor thing,
- 5:31Speaker 2: like it is a it is an issue because he
- 5:34Speaker 2: can't run These quarterbacks that you know, I don't think
- 5:36Speaker 2: they're gonna either one of them is going to be
- 5:38Speaker 2: too successful there if you're asking them to carry you
- 5:40Speaker 2: to victory every Sunday. So like it's gonna have to
- 5:43Speaker 2: be built off that that's supposed to kind of be
- 5:45Speaker 2: the calling card of you know, this staff and the
- 5:48Speaker 2: people that brought over. I assume they're gonna get some
- 5:51Speaker 2: of it cleaned up.
- 5:51Speaker 1: You know.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I think McCoy not being in there is you know,
- 5:55Speaker 2: a big, a big part of it too. I did
- 5:58Speaker 2: a study earlier this offseason the last four years, like
- 6:01Speaker 2: plays with McCloy plays without McCloy, and there's like a
- 6:05Speaker 2: twelve percent pressure rate increase when when he's not on
- 6:07Speaker 2: the field. Like it's a massive difference. Like I did
- 6:10Speaker 2: the same thing with like Armstead, and like you know,
- 6:12Speaker 2: it was it was a huge difference, but it was
- 6:14Speaker 2: like like six point five percent on those plays. Like
- 6:17Speaker 2: the impact of McCloy on this line over the last
- 6:19Speaker 2: few years, like really cannot be overstated. So like I
- 6:22Speaker 2: think just dropping him out there, you know makes the
- 6:24Speaker 2: difference and then like your backup centers goes down on well,
- 6:27Speaker 2: he gets hurt on the first play, he's out on
- 6:29Speaker 2: the second play. You know, you're pretty deep into the
- 6:32Speaker 2: cut there at that point, so I think, you know,
- 6:34Speaker 2: someone what we're seeing like gets alleviated with everyone out there.
- 6:36Speaker 2: But likes the execution itself, though, was like a little
- 6:39Speaker 2: bit like it was crazy, Like I literally just got
- 6:42Speaker 2: down watching the canjury runs right before I came on here,
- 6:44Speaker 2: and I'm like, this is like if I write this,
- 6:46Speaker 2: it's going to look like I'm trying to make excuses
- 6:48Speaker 2: for him, but like it's just what happened, Like he
- 6:50Speaker 2: just did not have good blocking.
- 6:52Speaker 7: All right, Let's get into it a little bit. Tyler Shuck.
- 6:55Speaker 8: He in the third quarter of the first preseason game
- 6:57Speaker 8: completed a pass to a wide open guy down the field.
- 7:00Speaker 8: How many yards is he gonna throw for week one
- 7:02Speaker 8: for the regular season.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Like I I like to. I like to though because
- 7:09Speaker 2: early and he I think it was it was during
- 7:12Speaker 2: the two minute drive. Kevin Austin kind of hits a
- 7:14Speaker 2: double move up the sideline and like the ball like
- 7:17Speaker 2: he just misses like just a little bit on the throw.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Maybe I think Kevin Austin probably Gonta made a better effort,
- 7:21Speaker 2: but then he comes back and hits it, so like
- 7:23Speaker 2: at least you see the adjustment. I felt pretty good
- 7:25Speaker 2: about him overall, honestly, like he felt more dynamic. I
- 7:28Speaker 2: really really liked and look it it ended up leading
- 7:32Speaker 2: to a punt, but like it felt like growth. Uh
- 7:35Speaker 2: this series that like they started at the full yard
- 7:37Speaker 2: byd and he hits the bootlege of the right. It's
- 7:39Speaker 2: the I think a four yard pass to Staton Wels
- 7:42Speaker 2: And then on the next play like a vague pressure
- 7:45Speaker 2: goes to the left, hits the uh the little curl
- 7:48Speaker 2: a little hitch on the on the left sideline to
- 7:50Speaker 2: get him out and they end up hunting a couple
- 7:52Speaker 2: of plays later. But like you know, he got him
- 7:54Speaker 2: out of that situation, and it felt like one of
- 7:57Speaker 2: those moments in camp, like you know when that was
- 7:59Speaker 2: coming on here and you got to call it me
- 8:01Speaker 2: like negative Mick. It's felt like one of those moments
- 8:06Speaker 2: of camp where you'd see him like in that situation
- 8:09Speaker 2: and kind of panic a little bit. And he didn't
- 8:12Speaker 2: even like to throwaway. I thought, I thought to throw away,
- 8:14Speaker 2: like he put himself a little in like too much
- 8:16Speaker 2: danger on the first year, like he's arm gets hit,
- 8:18Speaker 2: but like like a two you know, a week ten
- 8:21Speaker 2: days ago in camp, same situation, he just kind of
- 8:24Speaker 2: like panics and gets you know, flips the ball away
- 8:27Speaker 2: and gets hit for a intentional grounding. And that felt
- 8:30Speaker 2: like a little bit like all right, like he's he's
- 8:32Speaker 2: at least adjusting to the mistakes now that he was
- 8:34Speaker 2: a lot more adjustment that needs to happen, but he
- 8:37Speaker 2: felt like the more dynamic player to me, like it
- 8:40Speaker 2: just yeah, But by the end of the game, I'm
- 8:42Speaker 2: like all right, like this is this is the guy
- 8:44Speaker 2: probably week one, Like I don't see what needs to
- 8:46Speaker 2: be happening. You know, before it camp started, when we
- 8:49Speaker 2: were talking about it on here, like I said, Spencer's
- 8:51Speaker 2: got to trow like the knockout blow to keep him
- 8:53Speaker 2: out of the game, Like the deck is rigged for
- 8:56Speaker 2: the guy they picked to be their quarterback. And I
- 9:00Speaker 2: thought he played it, you know, if you're leaving that game, like,
- 9:03Speaker 2: I don't see how you see it going the other
- 9:05Speaker 2: way now. I think he needs to do it again
- 9:07Speaker 2: this week. I think you start check this week. You
- 9:09Speaker 2: got to see it put him out there against you know,
- 9:11Speaker 2: a higher level of competition. See if it continues. But like,
- 9:14Speaker 2: I think he's doing exactly what he needs to do
- 9:17Speaker 2: to be the guy on week one, So did you?
- 9:19Speaker 8: So are you saying, based on his game one of preseason,
- 9:25Speaker 8: do you think he's going to be the starter?
- 9:28Speaker 2: I'm saying that he's pulled even with it, and if
- 9:30Speaker 2: he continues on it and doesn't will in week two,
- 9:35Speaker 2: I think that they would be inclined to go that direction. Now.
- 9:38Speaker 2: The only cove I hear is that, like if you
- 9:40Speaker 2: look at those first four games and you say, like,
- 9:42Speaker 2: I don't want him going out there and going through
- 9:45Speaker 2: the dauntlet of Arizona, San Francisco, Seattle, Buffalo, Like, I
- 9:49Speaker 2: think there's maybe a thought process or conversation that you
- 9:52Speaker 2: have to have that that maybe, hey, look like, is
- 9:56Speaker 2: it a better situation conducive to success if we protect
- 10:00Speaker 2: him from what's probably going to be an own four start,
- 10:03Speaker 2: which is probably going to be a low success proposition
- 10:06Speaker 2: you put him in after after that s touch But like,
- 10:09Speaker 2: I don't know, like he tell me if I'm being critically,
- 10:12Speaker 2: I left that that game feeling like he he old
- 10:16Speaker 2: even with it. Like I thought up until this point,
- 10:18Speaker 2: like Rattler was playing better. You know, I think about
- 10:21Speaker 2: five days ago, like there was a process with with Shuckler,
- 10:24Speaker 2: like you really started to see him start making more plays,
- 10:27Speaker 2: like things started selling down. I thought we saw a
- 10:29Speaker 2: continuation of that in the game, and he made some
- 10:31Speaker 2: stuff happen in messy situations, which I think is important.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Like telam Moore is like repeatedly talked about like off
- 10:37Speaker 2: scheduled throws and you know, being able to create in
- 10:40Speaker 2: messy environments. I thought he did some of that. I
- 10:44Speaker 2: felt I felt like there was there's a little bit
- 10:46Speaker 2: more dynamic upside there and m'st see like you know,
- 10:50Speaker 2: I think he definitely has to do it against the
- 10:52Speaker 2: higher caliber defense. You know, you aren't just beat up
- 10:55Speaker 2: on twos and threes. But to me, it feels like
- 10:59Speaker 2: the guy they want to play quarterback went out there
- 11:02Speaker 2: and played pretty well. They do bad pick six. I mean,
- 11:05Speaker 2: that's got to get cleaned up, you know, But I
- 11:08Speaker 2: don't I don't think that there was any any separation
- 11:11Speaker 2: for a guy that that really was set up to have,
- 11:15Speaker 2: you know, the platforms to do that, and you know,
- 11:17Speaker 2: I think he just kind of saw some of the
- 11:18Speaker 2: same states, like not not feeling the pressure, the stack
- 11:21Speaker 2: fumble like that. There's just little things there that you know,
- 11:24Speaker 2: I think need to be better. You know, you go
- 11:27Speaker 2: through there's a couple of those that you know, I
- 11:28Speaker 2: saw like a ton of conspiracy conspiracy theories online about
- 11:32Speaker 2: like how to play calling was different, but like then
- 11:34Speaker 2: I don't know, like you go look at the dove
- 11:36Speaker 2: means hitch and you look, it's like, you know, to
- 11:41Speaker 2: who is right? They Cedric Wilson's streaking down the field
- 11:43Speaker 2: with the stand up begging for the ball against a
- 11:46Speaker 2: you know, uh safety that's dropping before the ball comes out,
- 11:50Speaker 2: and it's just like, you know, there were moments there
- 11:51Speaker 2: where where I think he could have, you know, had
- 11:53Speaker 2: the had the big plays too, Like I feel like
- 11:55Speaker 2: they were calling it the same way, and you know,
- 11:57Speaker 2: obviously the two minute thing I think was with the
- 12:01Speaker 2: alop and if I'm ratler, I'm probably fished. I didn't
- 12:03Speaker 2: get a chance to go execute that against the self
- 12:06Speaker 2: discovers you're ever going to see him in your life,
- 12:08Speaker 2: But you know, I think that's also you know, maybe
- 12:11Speaker 2: a little bit indicative of of the lean you know,
- 12:15Speaker 2: like the guy they picked at forty. I don't think
- 12:17Speaker 2: that like I've seen any like bias and anything that's happened.
- 12:20Speaker 2: If anything, I feel like it's been an extremely fair process.
- 12:23Speaker 2: But you know a little bit of a lean like
- 12:25Speaker 2: I'm going to get my guy out here that I
- 12:27Speaker 2: picked to execute this, get him going, set him up
- 12:30Speaker 2: to success, and then roll into the second half. You know,
- 12:32Speaker 2: I would probably feel a certain type of way if
- 12:34Speaker 2: I was QB one going into that game and that happened.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But yeah, man, I thought I thought he played a
- 12:40Speaker 2: you know in a way that garnered confidence, and if
- 12:44Speaker 2: he continues it, I could definitely see him being the
- 12:46Speaker 2: Week one starter.
- 12:48Speaker 3: The one thing for me that's tough when it comes
- 12:50Speaker 3: to what Spencer had for you know, his setup plays
- 12:55Speaker 3: like he had pressure a couple of times immediately, like
- 12:58Speaker 3: down there on the goal line like he had which.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Is still crazy.
- 13:02Speaker 3: The Chargers full back who dabbles in playing defensive tackle
- 13:06Speaker 3: beat the guard immediately and before it even hit Spencer's hands,
- 13:09Speaker 3: like he had to escape the pocket, and he made
- 13:12Speaker 3: a positive playout of it. Like it's tough for me
- 13:16Speaker 3: to kind of grade Spencer because I, like, I actually
- 13:18Speaker 3: thought when he had time and he threw the football
- 13:20Speaker 3: like he was really good, Like I thought there was
- 13:22Speaker 3: a lot of zip on the football, Like there was
- 13:25Speaker 3: like two or three plays Nick, where like Spencer just
- 13:27Speaker 3: never even had a chance to be able to get
- 13:29Speaker 3: the ball and go through his progression. And so like
- 13:32Speaker 3: for Spencer Rattler, it was like kind of the worst
- 13:34Speaker 3: case scenario of you didn't have protection and then, like
- 13:38Speaker 3: you said, in the two minute drive, they give that
- 13:40Speaker 3: to Tyler shuck and I kind of you know, look,
- 13:42Speaker 3: I understand, you know, they want to see what he
- 13:44Speaker 3: can do as a rookie in that moment, but like
- 13:47Speaker 3: Spencer Ratler didn't really have a lot of great opportunities
- 13:50Speaker 3: to be able to show you, like game wise, what
- 13:53Speaker 3: he's really done this training camp.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, look, I guess that's fair. I mean,
- 13:58Speaker 2: but also like they muffed the punt, he's in the
- 14:01Speaker 2: red zone, he takes a sack on a play where
- 14:04Speaker 2: there's a guy open right over the middle on a crosser,
- 14:06Speaker 2: like it's just tough for me to get there to
- 14:07Speaker 2: where like it's like a victim thing. Like I think
- 14:09Speaker 2: opportunities were there for him to to make plays, and
- 14:14Speaker 2: he had on the first series for the starting offensive
- 14:17Speaker 2: lineman on the third series, he still had three you know, like,
- 14:20Speaker 2: I don't feel like he was set up for failure
- 14:22Speaker 2: or anything. And that was kind of one of the
- 14:23Speaker 2: narratives like I'm seeing on minus like that's that's crazy, Like, yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 2: I don't think they executed great, but like like like
- 14:29Speaker 2: Tyler Shuck's trying to throw the ball behind Barry Wesley,
- 14:32Speaker 2: you know, like I don't, I don't. I don't feel
- 14:35Speaker 2: like it was incredibly unfair and one guy had like
- 14:38Speaker 2: way more opportunity, like and obviously higher caliber player out
- 14:41Speaker 2: there like the Chargers Chargers had. I think Tudo starts
- 14:44Speaker 2: on the de Pensilvana at the beginning of the game.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So that's what I'm saying, Like I need to see
- 14:47Speaker 2: it again next week from Shuck, like when he's going
- 14:50Speaker 2: against those type of guys. But I just don't feel like,
- 14:55Speaker 2: you know, I don't feel like the opportunity was fully
- 14:58Speaker 2: capitalized upon it beginning again in a way in which
- 15:01Speaker 2: you close the door on somebody, somebody that was look
- 15:05Speaker 2: on April twenty fifth, they made the decision to replace Ratler,
- 15:08Speaker 2: like it was just it's just a matter of now
- 15:10Speaker 2: whether he takes advantage of the road they pay for him,
- 15:14Speaker 2: gets in the car and drives down it like it's
- 15:16Speaker 2: not like he's trying to build the road to get there,
- 15:18Speaker 2: Like they've laid it out for him. That's the guy
- 15:21Speaker 2: they want to play. He's twenty six years old. This
- 15:23Speaker 2: isn't this isn't we're taking you know, you know, Lamaris
- 15:28Speaker 2: Seller's a twenty year old in the second round or
- 15:30Speaker 2: something like that, Like, this is a twenty six year
- 15:32Speaker 2: old man who is going to be thirty when he
- 15:35Speaker 2: signs his next contract. Like the vision is for him
- 15:37Speaker 2: to play. So I think I think, you know, if
- 15:40Speaker 2: he does well this weekend in preseason we two, I
- 15:42Speaker 2: think it's definitely there. Like I said, though, like I
- 15:45Speaker 2: think you have to have a serious conversation if you
- 15:48Speaker 2: decide as an organization, this is the guy what you're
- 15:51Speaker 2: doing at the beginning of the season, because you could
- 15:54Speaker 2: put him out there and he's getting his ass kicked
- 15:56Speaker 2: and then the whole stadium's chairing for Spencer Ratler. I
- 15:59Speaker 2: don't think that's that's a great situation if you decide
- 16:03Speaker 2: this is your quarterback. But look, I think honestly, the
- 16:06Speaker 2: most likely outcome, like as we sit here in debate
- 16:08Speaker 2: these two guys over and over, and we're going to
- 16:10Speaker 2: do it probably for the next several weeks. I think
- 16:12Speaker 2: the most likely outcome in December, we're having conversations about
- 16:17Speaker 2: what's happening on Saturdays, like I'm you know, I think
- 16:19Speaker 2: that's probably still what you're judging this against. And you know,
- 16:23Speaker 2: I think I think that's why what the season is
- 16:25Speaker 2: going to be about. So I kind of want to
- 16:27Speaker 2: see both, Like I don't really care what they do,
- 16:29Speaker 2: and I kind of want to see both of them,
- 16:31Speaker 2: but I just want to know at the end of
- 16:32Speaker 2: the season that there is definitive evidence, definitive proof, there's
- 16:36Speaker 2: no like maybe there's no Well, man, I would have
- 16:39Speaker 2: liked to see more of them. I don't want the
- 16:41Speaker 2: Staints to be in a situation like Atlanta, you know,
- 16:44Speaker 2: like where they think they feel good about Pennix, but
- 16:46Speaker 2: they aren't absolutely sure, like there's still that little bit
- 16:49Speaker 2: of variance. If the Staints are picking second next year's draft,
- 16:53Speaker 2: I want them to know for sure whether they should
- 16:56Speaker 2: take Quig Tupnik or Woods or Parker. Like you know what, ever,
- 17:00Speaker 2: Clemson guy, you need just know which positions filled and
- 17:02Speaker 2: know which one isn't and whatever they do this year
- 17:05Speaker 2: like so like yeah, like personally I'm custom for for
- 17:10Speaker 2: Shuck like on a on a certain level. At a
- 17:12Speaker 2: certain point this season, I'll start whatever. Like it's just like,
- 17:14Speaker 2: you know, you got to see him. You got to know,
- 17:16Speaker 2: because like I don't think four games is enough. You know,
- 17:19Speaker 2: we've seen Josh Dobbs be getting four games, Like you
- 17:21Speaker 2: can get lied to through four games. Like so if
- 17:24Speaker 2: Tyler Shuck is the guy they're looking at, like, hey,
- 17:27Speaker 2: this is the guy with the potential, you know, I
- 17:29Speaker 2: want to see him out there for like twelve games
- 17:30Speaker 2: this season, and I don't care what happens in them,
- 17:32Speaker 2: Like I think it just should be a fat finding
- 17:34Speaker 2: mission kind of overall, and you know, I think it's
- 17:37Speaker 2: just highly highly important. That's the most important thing this
- 17:40Speaker 2: season is just having that answer whether you have the
- 17:43Speaker 2: guy or not. And you know, if you talked yourself
- 17:45Speaker 2: into like a half measure, you know, I don't know
- 17:49Speaker 2: if that's the best outcome.
- 17:51Speaker 6: What did Josh does your old man?
- 17:55Speaker 2: I mean, you remember, but Josh Dobbs is gone Sports
- 18:00Speaker 2: Center for like, you know, three or four weeks, and
- 18:02Speaker 2: then all of a sudden, it's like, oh, yeah, that
- 18:04Speaker 2: was Josh.
- 18:05Speaker 7: You know what I mean, Like, that's the main takeaway
- 18:09Speaker 7: with that girl.
- 18:13Speaker 6: I hate to hear it.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Man, jeez oh man, Nick, you're the man. We appreciate
- 18:18Speaker 3: it every single week. New Orleans dot Football is the website.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I cannot wait to see the content coming from the
- 18:23Speaker 3: van parked outside of the stadium. That is electric. Hey,
- 18:27Speaker 3: we appreciate it, sir, in enjoy Southern California. Yeah, I
- 18:31Speaker 3: think it is all right, Nick Underhill, New Orleans dot
- 18:33Speaker 3: Football hates Josh Dobbs.
- 18:35Speaker 7: He's got a van. There's a river. I kind of
- 18:39Speaker 7: think it's more like the shut truck.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Hmmm.
- 18:45Speaker 4: I don't hate it.
- 18:47Speaker 8: Like you gotta be careful with it though. You have
- 18:50Speaker 8: to really think about your word.
- 18:51Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, I was thinking about yesterday. I don't
- 18:53Speaker 9: know who said it yet, maybe.
- 18:54Speaker 4: You said it.
- 18:55Speaker 6: I just didn't be careful.
- 18:57Speaker 9: I thought that I like came up with something.
- 18:59Speaker 6: So what was it, chuck if you bush? I hadn't
- 19:03Speaker 6: heard that. I hadn't heard that one.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Okay, My was if if you don't give a damn,
- 19:08Speaker 3: we don't give a shuck.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good.
- 19:09Speaker 8: One that somebody's gonna slip up, and I think it's
- 19:11Speaker 8: gonna be okay, it's gonna be on accident completely.
- 19:16Speaker 3: When we say we're all like every every part of it.
- 19:22Speaker 8: We could just be like Cam Jordan and just mispronounced
- 19:25Speaker 8: it and say show me the money, chuck me up.
- 19:29Speaker 6: I had that one. That one feels step too close,
- 19:32Speaker 6: That one.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Feels, you know, feels a little too close to the
- 19:38Speaker 3: sun on that.
- 19:38Speaker 7: I do like the the shuck truck.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I likeuck trucks are good.
- 19:46Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, all right, all right. I mean that was
- 19:49Speaker 6: like quite a turnaround from Nick.
- 19:50Speaker 7: I mean, I mean last week he said there was
- 19:52Speaker 7: a huge gap. Now he says he's going to be
- 19:54Speaker 7: a pro Bowl.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Look at it, and I'm not saying it spent like
- 19:56Speaker 3: he was set up to be unsuccessful. But they didn't
- 20:00Speaker 3: help him out. Like the offensive line did not help
- 20:04Speaker 3: Spencer Ratler and the one he took a sack like
- 20:07Speaker 3: he did have a crosser, but there was somebody flashing
- 20:10Speaker 3: across his face as well. Like, I don't know, man,
- 20:14Speaker 3: it's hard to grade Spencer off the protection that.
- 20:16Speaker 6: He had in that game. He should they had no
- 20:18Speaker 6: run game to speak of either to help him out.
- 20:20Speaker 9: Yeah, they should have left him in for the two
- 20:21Speaker 9: minute drills.
- 20:22Speaker 6: I would have liked to see him.
- 20:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know.
- 20:24Speaker 8: Like I'd like to ask Nick follow up on, like
- 20:27Speaker 8: why do you think they are because he kept talking
- 20:30Speaker 8: about their paving this path the court the one that
- 20:32Speaker 8: they want to be the quarterback, Like I would think
- 20:35Speaker 8: that they just want the better one to be the quarterback, right,
- 20:37Speaker 8: Like why why did he think they're paving this path
- 20:39Speaker 8: room because they took him number in the second second round.
- 20:42Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 20:43Speaker 8: I i'd like to get Maybe we'll uh ask him
- 20:46Speaker 8: that next week, but we'll see.
- 20:47Speaker 7: You know what a what a difference a week to
- 20:48Speaker 7: make is old negative nicks all over the place.
- 20:52Speaker 3: This truck a flip Flopperlianu said it once, said it
- 21:00Speaker 3: a billion times.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Nick Underhill noted politician.
- 21:04Speaker 7: Yep, definitely heard it before.
- 21:07Speaker 6: All right, we'll take a break, man. I feel I
- 21:11Speaker 6: don't know if I feel better about that afternoon and
- 21:13Speaker 6: it's like now it's just about what the quarterback situation.
- 21:17Speaker 8: Well, I think we we talked a lot about it
- 21:20Speaker 8: because that's the headline. But like at the end of
- 21:22Speaker 8: the day, I think what he was trying to say,
- 21:25Speaker 8: I don't think quarterback is going to be the main
- 21:27Speaker 8: problem this year.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be protecting him and seeing healthy and
- 21:30Speaker 3: getting open and find you're.
- 21:31Speaker 7: Gonna need this year from what you know.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Probably so all right, we'll take a break more to
- 21:35Speaker 3: be on the other side off the bench.
- 21:38Speaker 6: Very good All Star toy at vendrous dot com. If

- 22:51Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Tells me.
- 23:12Speaker 6: Are you laughing at Flynn?
- 23:14Speaker 7: I see build the chat. You guys are just funny.
- 23:16Speaker 8: Sometimes I'm not gonna say it on air because I can't.
- 23:26Speaker 7: It's against the wall.
- 23:28Speaker 8: We were already just looking at Tyler Schucks.
- 23:35Speaker 7: Country of origin.
- 23:36Speaker 3: We are not going to slow this man's name down
- 23:39Speaker 3: just so we don't get a violation, are we.
- 23:41Speaker 8: We've been saying it for months, like I was like,
- 23:43Speaker 8: how is it pronounced that way?
- 23:46Speaker 6: And Laundra did the research.
- 23:49Speaker 9: You find it's Scottish and you know they have like
- 23:52Speaker 9: a different dialect, especially back in the olden days. So
- 23:59Speaker 9: it comes from the pronounce the historical pronunciation of the
- 24:03Speaker 9: g H. It was once pronounced like the c K
- 24:06Speaker 9: sound in Scottish words like luck like you know, like
- 24:09Speaker 9: the luckness monster Oka. But it was spelled like g
- 24:14Speaker 9: H back in the day.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I guess.
- 24:15Speaker 9: So this is like a historical Scottish thing that shuck
- 24:19Speaker 9: is pronounced.
- 24:20Speaker 7: Where's the uh u sound because it's o u.
- 24:23Speaker 9: Yeah, well that's what I was trying to say, like
- 24:26Speaker 9: when we were coming back from the break, like the
- 24:27Speaker 9: o U sound because Taylor was saying that he used
- 24:30Speaker 9: to think it was shuff like rough right, the o
- 24:33Speaker 9: U sound is still making that sound. That's where it's
- 24:35Speaker 9: coming from.
- 24:36Speaker 4: It is like, are still yeah it is?
- 24:41Speaker 7: This is s h o it actually is.
- 24:45Speaker 9: It's the same sound, it's just the different uh. The
- 24:49Speaker 9: pronunciation of the last the g h is pronounced c
- 24:52Speaker 9: K and Scottish or whatever language that is scott.
- 24:57Speaker 6: Scottish speaking English in Scotland.
- 25:04Speaker 9: Yeah, they do speak English.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Language.
- 25:09Speaker 6: Maybe they do. I don't know locals.
- 25:11Speaker 8: I mean, I'll just shame on them for making our
- 25:12Speaker 8: job hard having it pronounce it. It's not that hard,
- 25:15Speaker 8: not just hard to get in trouble when you're trying
- 25:17Speaker 8: to like rhyme it with things which we do or.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Put it in place of things which nobody's forcing us
- 25:23Speaker 6: to do, but we continue to do it.
- 25:25Speaker 9: Maybe you speak like that same Gaelic language that Irish.
- 25:29Speaker 6: Maybe they do, probably do. You're probably right. I'm a
- 25:31Speaker 6: meathead I don't really know, and a redneck.
- 25:32Speaker 3: So uh, speaking of meathead red neckish type things, if
- 25:36Speaker 3: you were betting on sports and you put sports betting
- 25:39Speaker 3: UCLA versus USC in the little comment section of Venmo,
- 25:44Speaker 3: that'd be pretty meat heeadish.
- 25:47Speaker 7: Yeah, who did that?
- 25:49Speaker 6: Allegedly? Allegedly?
- 25:51Speaker 3: Because I just can't imagine that any body would put
- 25:54Speaker 3: sports betting and the teams that you bet on, like
- 25:59Speaker 3: Oklahoma quarter of John Mattier is being accused of. I
- 26:02Speaker 3: can't my mind cannot allow me to get to that point. Surely,
- 26:09Speaker 3: knowing it's illegal, you would not put sports gambling.
- 26:13Speaker 6: So there's in the comments section.
- 26:15Speaker 8: There's there's one distinct fact that like I know that
- 26:19Speaker 8: this is not a true story.
- 26:21Speaker 7: This is fabricated. It has to be.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I mean you very easily could I mean again, I
- 26:27Speaker 3: don't know, but you very easily could do this, like
- 26:29Speaker 3: on any kind of AI. Hey put a Venmo type
- 26:34Speaker 3: looking whatever whatever.
- 26:36Speaker 8: You can do that stuff on a de WI right now. So,
- 26:39Speaker 8: like people who don't like know the story jump. But
- 26:41Speaker 8: there's like a lot of rumors swirling. I think they
- 26:43Speaker 8: started last night or this morning that these screenshots were
- 26:47Speaker 8: released and John Matteer, the new quarterback for Oklahoma, was
- 26:51Speaker 8: allegedly sports betting and he Venmode either a friend, a book, Yeah,
- 26:57Speaker 8: I don't know who it was Venmode somebody and put
- 26:59Speaker 8: in the title like you know you put your like
- 27:02Speaker 8: what was this payment for sports gambling? Parentheses UCLA versus
- 27:06Speaker 8: USC and another one on November twentieth, twenty twenty two
- 27:09Speaker 8: sports gambling. I know this cannot be accurate because there's
- 27:15Speaker 8: not a person, probably under the age of fifty or sixty,
- 27:19Speaker 8: that ever sends a Venmo without making some sort of
- 27:23Speaker 8: humorous comment about what they're actually sending money for. It's
- 27:27Speaker 8: usually an egg plant emojie. It's usually like, you know,
- 27:30Speaker 8: illegal drugs.
- 27:31Speaker 4: I mean, that could be anything.
- 27:33Speaker 9: Sports gambling could be anything.
- 27:35Speaker 4: He could be buying a pizza.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Tho.
- 27:37Speaker 4: It's so funny.
- 27:38Speaker 6: It could be the NA video game.
- 27:40Speaker 4: But it wasn't out then the comments underneath the thing
- 27:44Speaker 4: were like, guys, let's not jump to conclusions.
- 27:46Speaker 7: We don't know what this say.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Look this tweet that I pulled up though, by Garrett Armbrust,
- 27:51Speaker 4: this makes total sense. He said. Two things can be said. One,
- 27:55Speaker 4: why would you put sports gambling when it's illegal by
- 27:58Speaker 4: the NCAA and two. Who the heck looks at? Athlete
- 28:01Speaker 4: Venda transactions from three seasons ago. You have no life
- 28:04Speaker 4: if you did this, like watch Love Island. We were
- 28:14Speaker 4: we were we were watching Love Island over the summer
- 28:16Speaker 4: and they kicked two different girls off. Controversial Instagram post
- 28:22Speaker 4: from years ago, years ago. If you're going back and
- 28:25Speaker 4: looking at someone's Instagram post to trying to find stuff
- 28:27Speaker 4: on them, you have no life and you're losing hit
- 28:29Speaker 4: the unemployment line.
- 28:31Speaker 7: That's right.
- 28:31Speaker 8: Oh my god, yeah, shirts mouth breather like after he
- 28:35Speaker 8: did that research, he went out to the pool and
- 28:38Speaker 8: he held his nose and jumped in.
- 28:42Speaker 9: Top five least manly things you could do.
- 28:45Speaker 6: Hold your nose and your knees.
- 28:50Speaker 4: What you're doing, Okay, What's what's worse? Holding the nose
- 28:54Speaker 4: or putting the goggles on before you die? You know,
- 28:58Speaker 4: Olympic Olympian. I'm not talking about that. I'm I'm talking
- 29:00Speaker 4: like I'm just in my backyard. I'm let me go get.
- 29:05Speaker 7: Goggles have a place.
- 29:06Speaker 8: Hey look dorky, but it's kind of fun to see
- 29:09Speaker 8: underwater when it's.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Like goggle speed cap all of.
- 29:12Speaker 6: Them nose plucked two? Oh no, yeah, uh, for what
- 29:19Speaker 6: it's worth.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Pete Damore, who's always on top of these stories obviously
- 29:23Speaker 3: is what he does for ESPN. His tweet says Oklahoma
- 29:26Speaker 3: officials are aware of Geometerer's Venmo activity that surfaced online
- 29:29Speaker 3: last night that twice references sports gambling and includesive reference
- 29:34Speaker 3: to a specific game MATEIR has consistently denied two OU
- 29:38Speaker 3: officials ever being involved with gambling, per a source.
- 29:42Speaker 6: So for what's where John Mytear's saying, no, I think true.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Well, I'm still blaming him for all of this because
- 29:48Speaker 4: don't be an idiot and make your venmo transactions public.
- 29:52Speaker 7: Like the only two.
- 29:53Speaker 4: People I've venmo in life is like my sister because
- 29:56Speaker 4: she like books all of our rooms for family vacations
- 29:58Speaker 4: and stuff, and my my wife, And guess what, both
- 30:01Speaker 4: of them always go to private. I don't even have
- 30:04Speaker 4: anything to hide.
- 30:05Speaker 7: It's just like they're always.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Private because I don't need nobody else to knowing my business.
- 30:09Speaker 7: I always do private, right, Like, why do you.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Want somebody being like, oh, well, he paid one hundred
- 30:14Speaker 4: bucks for this, he paid two quarter bucks.
- 30:16Speaker 7: I need their damn big.
- 30:18Speaker 8: A place where you share transactions and pay people for
- 30:22Speaker 8: services we're just paying about it's not a social network.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yeah, why does that public?
- 30:28Speaker 8: And if it is, if you're making it public, that's
- 30:30Speaker 8: when you do the funny ones.
- 30:31Speaker 7: That's when you put the acqua. Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 8: I think that just because a kid does something dumb
- 30:41Speaker 8: doesn't mean he did anything wrong. So, like, I also
- 30:45Speaker 8: can see a scenario where this is a real transaction
- 30:48Speaker 8: and he really typed that, but like as a joke
- 30:51Speaker 8: or a dare when him and his buddies were drunk
- 30:53Speaker 8: one day. I could see that happening. No, I bet
- 30:55Speaker 8: you won't send me money and put.
- 30:56Speaker 7: Gambling on it, you big college quarterback.
- 31:00Speaker 4: I actually hope it's real. I hope he was that
- 31:02Speaker 4: domb and just did it.
- 31:05Speaker 7: So you hope he gets like his life gets ruined
- 31:07Speaker 7: because they can't ever play football a him. I mean, yeah,
- 31:11Speaker 7: I'm a fan. I don't care.
- 31:13Speaker 4: All right, that's hateful.
- 31:15Speaker 7: Is an American?
- 31:18Speaker 4: I think it'd be funny.
- 31:20Speaker 7: Reality TV. Baby, let's go.
- 31:23Speaker 3: I don't I don't know John material, Like on a
- 31:26Speaker 3: personal personal level, I've only had a couple of conversations
- 31:28Speaker 3: with him, But the conversations I have had with him,
- 31:32Speaker 3: I don't think there's any way in hell, this man
- 31:35Speaker 3: puts sports campully in his comment unless it was either
- 31:41Speaker 3: something very stupid, which Flynn and I send stupid stuff
- 31:45Speaker 3: to each other all day long, every day that happens, right,
- 31:49Speaker 3: or if this is just something that is not real,
- 31:52Speaker 3: just not real at all. I just I can't imagine
- 31:57Speaker 3: that this is something like I don't know anyone and
- 32:01Speaker 3: I know some real dumb dumbs that would put it
- 32:03Speaker 3: in the comments section, I mean, just the dumbest, But
- 32:07Speaker 3: I can't imagine anybody, certainly somebody that is currently playing
- 32:12Speaker 3: college football.
- 32:13Speaker 6: Would do that.
- 32:14Speaker 7: I mean, we knew people that thought.
- 32:17Speaker 6: That I don't know where. There's so many places.
- 32:20Speaker 8: Where we were fine to Washington, DC that they thought
- 32:26Speaker 8: that we might be over organ because we were going
- 32:27Speaker 8: to the state of Washington.
- 32:29Speaker 7: Yeah, they wouldn't have done it. They wouldn't have put
- 32:32Speaker 7: that in their venmo.
- 32:33Speaker 3: There was also, you know, the Unfortunate Days of nine
- 32:37Speaker 3: to eleven. There's a story out there that whenever coach
- 32:42Speaker 3: Saban told the players that a plane hit the Pentagon,
- 32:46Speaker 3: well remember the Pentagon was the name of the cafeteria
- 32:48Speaker 3: at LSU, the player said, where are we going to eat?
- 32:51Speaker 6: Then after that happened and not even that person would
- 32:56Speaker 6: have put sports gambling in their Venmo memo.
- 33:00Speaker 7: This has absolutely just think about it.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Also, I'll show y'all during break. I'm not pulling it
- 33:06Speaker 4: up on the stream. They have some other transactions from
- 33:09Speaker 4: John Materi and they're really funny.
- 33:11Speaker 6: Okay, great, Yeah, I saw screenshot of those.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Yeah, there's they're really fun Look, there's some there's.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Some arch Manning screenshots that are kind of in the
- 33:17Speaker 3: same vein of what like Flynn's talking about, like just
- 33:19Speaker 3: being done with your boys.
- 33:21Speaker 8: Yeah, people over there, don't sit on don't sit on
- 33:25Speaker 8: your high horse.
- 33:27Speaker 7: Didn't judge college kids. I'll do it all right, judge you.
- 33:35Speaker 3: We'll take a break more ot B when we come

- 35:16Speaker 6: All right, welcome back, get OTV.
- 35:18Speaker 3: I want to remind you about Boudros Electrical, Bujos Electrical
- 35:21Speaker 3: dot Com.
- 35:23Speaker 6: The golf is heating up and you need to be prepared.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Budros has over eighty generators right now in stock, ready
- 35:31Speaker 3: to go, so they can have you ready to go
- 35:33Speaker 3: before a storm hits.
- 35:35Speaker 6: But remember we are coming up on that time.
- 35:38Speaker 3: So on the north shore nine eighty five three nine
- 35:41Speaker 3: two in the greater Baton Rouge area two two five
- 35:43Speaker 3: three zero zero nine three eight nine and always online
- 35:47Speaker 3: at Boudros Electrical dot Com.
- 35:50Speaker 7: Storm out there right now. Yep.
- 35:52Speaker 8: It's that time of a year where you start getting
- 35:53Speaker 8: like on that feed, a lot of those maps, a
- 35:55Speaker 8: lot of those disturbances. You don't know which way they're
- 35:58Speaker 8: gonna go, left, right, up, down. Maybe if they come
- 36:03Speaker 8: to the golf, I don't know. I hope not. But
- 36:04Speaker 8: if they do give a call today, they got it
- 36:06Speaker 8: ready to roll. Bojo is Electrical, all right.
- 36:12Speaker 3: We are, uh, we're eighteen days away from kickoff. We
- 36:15Speaker 3: are less than three weeks away. It is fast approaching.
- 36:20Speaker 3: So excited and uh, I think I got even more
- 36:22Speaker 3: excited whenever I saw Clemson be a top five team
- 36:25Speaker 3: in the country, like I think they should have been
- 36:27Speaker 3: in the coaches poll as well. Uh, there's some people
- 36:30Speaker 3: that think they're the number one team in the country.
- 36:32Speaker 3: There's four voters in the ap pole, there's two voters
- 36:35Speaker 3: in the coaches poll. They think they are the number
- 36:36Speaker 3: one team in the country. And I'm just getting fired
- 36:39Speaker 3: up for everything, like you hear out of LSU, everything
- 36:42Speaker 3: here out of Clemson as well. Like I know that
- 36:46Speaker 3: on paper, the Texas Ohio state one versus two, one
- 36:50Speaker 3: versus three, depending on which poll you're looking at, is
- 36:52Speaker 3: going to be the one that probably gets talked.
- 36:54Speaker 6: About the most.
- 36:56Speaker 3: But I'm like, even if I wasn't, you know an Elsh,
- 37:00Speaker 3: you guy, like, how do you not get fired up
- 37:03Speaker 3: about the quarterback matchup in this one? Kateklubnick versus Garrett
- 37:07Speaker 3: Neusmeyer ESPN dot Com put out their preseason All American team.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Kay club Nick was first team All American, Garrett Nessmeyer
- 37:13Speaker 3: was the second team All American. I mean, you truly
- 37:16Speaker 3: have elite on elite at the most important position.
- 37:20Speaker 8: And two different styles of quarterback as well. Sure, Kate
- 37:25Speaker 8: Klubnick's going to use his legs a lot. I think
- 37:27Speaker 8: we say, what did I do?
- 37:29Speaker 7: He had?
- 37:29Speaker 8: Almost don't count the sacks. He at almost seven hundred
- 37:33Speaker 8: yards rushing last year. I think it was like six
- 37:34Speaker 8: hundred and forty something yards rushing if you don't include
- 37:36Speaker 8: the sacks. I think on statistically it was like four
- 37:38Speaker 8: hundred and eighty or something like that. So a guy
- 37:41Speaker 8: that is going to be that dual threat. Got very
- 37:43Speaker 8: accurate quarterback. When he can see the defense, when he
- 37:48Speaker 8: knows where he's throwing it, he doesn't miss. He's very accurate,
- 37:51Speaker 8: always gives his receivers a chance to catch the ball.
- 37:54Speaker 8: And he's got his top three receivers returning this season,
- 37:56Speaker 8: so they have It's a I think it's very equally
- 38:01Speaker 8: matched type of game. And man, what a couple of
- 38:06Speaker 8: just anger of games that were starting the season with
- 38:09Speaker 8: week Week two is probably just going to be the
- 38:11Speaker 8: biggest let down ever just for.
- 38:13Speaker 6: College football jobs.
- 38:14Speaker 8: But it an Texas Ohiso State in l s U
- 38:18Speaker 8: versus Clemson. I mean, we are starting out with some
- 38:20Speaker 8: incredible games and in order to beat this opening game slide,
- 38:27Speaker 8: this historic fun that LSU has been on that nobody
- 38:30Speaker 8: wanted to see, Yeah, wanted, nobody wanted to see this,
- 38:34Speaker 8: this history being made, we are going to have to
- 38:36Speaker 8: be the best team that we have faced to start
- 38:39Speaker 8: a season.
- 38:40Speaker 7: I think, so this is uh. I agree.
- 38:42Speaker 8: I was excited to see them in that top five
- 38:44Speaker 8: because it's going to look better on the old resume.
- 38:48Speaker 3: When you look at what college football is giving you
- 38:51Speaker 3: from the opening matchup technically Week zero farm again in
- 38:55Speaker 3: Iowa State casting.
- 38:56Speaker 6: That's a top twenty five matchup, all right, So.
- 38:59Speaker 3: That that's the nice, just incredible appetizer, almost one of
- 39:03Speaker 3: those appetizers. You go to the restaurant for the appetizer
- 39:07Speaker 3: and then we start talking about what you have in
- 39:09Speaker 3: a week one.
- 39:10Speaker 6: You have Texas versus Ohio State.
- 39:13Speaker 3: I think Syracuse Tennessee is going to be a great
- 39:16Speaker 3: football game.
- 39:17Speaker 6: You've got LSU and Clemson.
- 39:19Speaker 3: You've got Alabama versus Florida State. I mean, you've got
- 39:24Speaker 3: some big time heavy hitters it is. It's gonna be fun. Man,
- 39:28Speaker 3: it's going to be It's gonna be one of those
- 39:32Speaker 3: weekends I think that you talk about for a long time.
- 39:35Speaker 3: It has the potential at least. I mean, we talked
- 39:36Speaker 3: about Miami Notre Dame a little bit earlier, like top
- 39:40Speaker 3: ten matchups. Like if we go back and we go
- 39:43Speaker 3: to the A, people just think about this and the
- 39:46Speaker 3: opening weekend of college football. You've got one versus three,
- 39:51Speaker 3: four versus nine, and six versus ten, and the opening
- 39:56Speaker 3: week of college football.
- 39:57Speaker 7: It's like New Year's Day. It's unbelievable.
- 40:02Speaker 8: And for LSU fans, we're hoping for a We hope
- 40:05Speaker 8: that this day is remembered because it's famous and not infamous.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Oh God, please don't let it be infamous.
- 40:17Speaker 8: I like, look, this is always like the last couple
- 40:19Speaker 8: of weeks before the college football season is always the toughest,
- 40:21Speaker 8: but it's the most exciting because we got things to
- 40:24Speaker 8: talk about. We got a little preseason NFL action going. So, man,
- 40:27Speaker 8: football is upon us, and we are not going to
- 40:29Speaker 8: say real football started during preseason NFL. It happens when
- 40:33Speaker 8: college football kicks off. And then after that NFL season
- 40:36Speaker 8: kicks off, we're off to the races. Life is back
- 40:39Speaker 8: to normal. Everything feels right again. When football is not out,
- 40:44Speaker 8: it just doesn't feel right.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Greg says, no way this Clemson team, or he says
- 40:49Speaker 3: Clempson like a lot of us say Clemson team is
- 40:53Speaker 3: better than a twenty twenty three Florida Stay, man, you
- 40:55Speaker 3: can make the argument.
- 40:56Speaker 6: I think Kay clemb is better than Jordan Travis.
- 40:58Speaker 3: I know that team had Jared and had Braden Fist,
- 41:01Speaker 3: but this team has two All Americans on the defensive
- 41:03Speaker 3: line as well. This is one of the deepest receiver
- 41:06Speaker 3: rooms in the country you have at Clemson, so it's
- 41:10Speaker 3: a conversation. That team was good. They went undefeed in
- 41:12Speaker 3: the regular season. I know that, but it is it
- 41:15Speaker 3: is certainly up for a conversation. Speaking of football, flag football,
- 41:21Speaker 3: tackle football football as well, Elite Training Academy BR dot
- 41:25Speaker 3: com is the website to go to if you want
- 41:28Speaker 3: to sign up for Elite All Star Tackle Football.

- 42:34Speaker 6: you can say it.
- 42:35Speaker 7: That's okay.
- 42:35Speaker 6: That's where I was gonna go.
- 42:37Speaker 3: All right, last break a bench, which is completely different
- 42:42Speaker 3: than O TB mail bag, wrap up today's.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Show, top the bench.
- 42:47Speaker 3: It is always a great time to go for dose,

- 43:06Speaker 6: you go for dose?
- 43:07Speaker 3: We talked about being fired up for college football. Can
- 43:10Speaker 3: you imagine you're at the tailgate. You got the Joe
- 43:13Speaker 3: Balayah going, you got the gumbo whatever it might be.
- 43:16Speaker 6: You got the dogs and burgers on the grill, and
- 43:19Speaker 6: you open the ice chest and you see a couple
- 43:22Speaker 6: of ice cold do sequis. That is called football utopia.
- 43:26Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm kind of thinking about We're almost getting into
- 43:29Speaker 8: fantasy football season and the draft coming up. Be the
- 43:33Speaker 8: star of the show, re carrying a big old box
- 43:36Speaker 8: of do sekis over your right shoulder walking into that
- 43:39Speaker 8: draft party. Go for dose there, delete some beers, pick
- 43:41Speaker 8: some good players, whatever it is, drink responsibly, make it
- 43:44Speaker 8: a do Seki's night.

- 44:41Speaker 3: day against the Chargers. No, we actually were just watching them.
- 44:44Speaker 3: One of the plays during the break.
- 44:46Speaker 7: Can't they can? He can have was successive. They just
- 44:48Speaker 7: clearly changed the way they suck.
