- 0:03Speaker 1: Spreading rumors to his the season. We're gonna have trades
- 0:05Speaker 1: coming up. We have some trade rumors in here, but
- 0:07Speaker 1: let's start with Bob Nightingale's report on Bobachet, who could
- 0:10Speaker 1: be traded? I mean it would be an interesting one
- 0:12Speaker 1: since he still has time left on the deal. But
- 0:15Speaker 1: according to Bob, teams expect Bo to opt out of
- 0:18Speaker 1: the final two years of his Mets contract, giving clubs
- 0:21Speaker 1: like the Phillies a second shot at him. He said
- 0:23Speaker 1: it could be a massive gamble for him, considering he's
- 0:25Speaker 1: owed seventy nine million dollars, He's earning two mil this
- 0:30Speaker 1: year after being paid a forty mil signing bonus, and
- 0:32Speaker 1: if he opts out, who will be paid an additional
- 0:34Speaker 1: five million dollars. He's making a ton of money this year.
- 0:38Speaker 1: That's how the deal was constructed. Kratz. This is how
- 0:41Speaker 1: teams want it. They want lower term right, shorter term
- 0:45Speaker 1: deals with higher per season. Bo was off to a
- 0:49Speaker 1: super slow start. He's on fire lately, although it's a
- 0:53Speaker 1: quick stretch right now, get a big weekend.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Do you think that he's going.
- 0:57Speaker 3: To opt out?
- 1:00Speaker 4: Until I read this, no chance, No chance. You get
- 1:03Speaker 4: eighty million for two years. He's a forty million dollar
- 1:06Speaker 4: player a year for the next two years. Granted he
- 1:08Speaker 4: would be thirty years old by the time the contract ends,
- 1:11Speaker 4: so you're signing a thirty one year old free agent deal.
- 1:15Speaker 4: But does he opt out because he's like, wait a minute,
- 1:20Speaker 4: we ain't winning here and I want to win. Yeah, okay,
- 1:23Speaker 4: that's fine, I'm fair with that, But is he going
- 1:26Speaker 4: to get to me? The only way you opt out
- 1:27Speaker 4: is if you say, okay, you're gonna get one hundred
- 1:29Speaker 4: and forty million in your next contract, Which would somebody
- 1:34Speaker 4: be willing to pay him one hundred and forty million
- 1:37Speaker 4: to come in and probably win two batting titles in
- 1:41Speaker 4: those five years. Maybe I think the Phillies would be
- 1:45Speaker 4: excited to say, we offered you two hundred for nine,
- 1:49Speaker 4: you come back and we'll give you one hundred and
- 1:51Speaker 4: forty one hundred and fifty million. Yeah, so that would
- 1:54Speaker 4: be a win win for both. But to leave eighty
- 1:56Speaker 4: million on the table, I think he's he's just got
- 1:59Speaker 4: to continue to do a doing and then I think
- 2:00Speaker 4: he would opt out. Yes, he's got to become a
- 2:04Speaker 4: above average player, which I think show those numbers. Yeah,
- 2:09Speaker 4: but can we show those numbers. If he's numbers stay
- 2:11Speaker 4: where they're at right now. No, I think the biggest
- 2:14Speaker 4: thing for me is the strikeouts. He wasn't a big
- 2:16Speaker 4: strikeout guy. He's got a lot of strikeouts. Fifty four strikeouts,
- 2:20Speaker 4: that's big number for him, and only nineteen walks right
- 2:23Speaker 4: ops six forty six. He's gonna turn. He's gonna walk
- 2:26Speaker 4: away from eighty million dollars with a six fifty ops
- 2:29Speaker 4: and a team's gonna pay more than that. They're gonna
- 2:31Speaker 4: say it's a bad year. We're gonna hope that he
- 2:33Speaker 4: gets better. I mean, I know the last ten games,
- 2:37Speaker 4: yes they've been great. Sure, But we talk about this
- 2:40Speaker 4: all the time on the show. This it goes like this.
- 2:42Speaker 4: It doesn't just go there's very few players where it's
- 2:45Speaker 4: just up here. The whole year it goes like this.
- 2:48Speaker 4: And even with those ten games, those are still his numbers.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You don't think a team will say, hey, we're gonna
- 2:53Speaker 1: wipe out the beginning of this season, a little bit,
- 2:55Speaker 1: new team, new position.
- 2:56Speaker 4: That's what his agent hopes. If he opts out not
- 3:00Speaker 4: for two hundred million, he would have to be ridiculous, Like,
- 3:04Speaker 4: I think we're setting the bar at a certain level,
- 3:07Speaker 4: Like I think if he gets one hundred and twenty million,
- 3:09Speaker 4: if you're like, all right, I can go someplace. That
- 3:11Speaker 4: is not what's here. That's This isn't a quote from him.
- 3:15Speaker 4: This is a quote from rival executives. Like maybe maybe
- 3:21Speaker 4: it's bantered about out there, like hey, if you what
- 3:24Speaker 4: my question would be talked about?
- 3:26Speaker 5: Oh, would he be traded?
- 3:28Speaker 4: Is it possible that a team would say, Okay, we'll
- 3:30Speaker 4: trade for you if there's a guaranteed he opts out,
- 3:35Speaker 4: like we've heard of Hey, he doesn't want to be
- 3:37Speaker 4: traded unless there's an extension. But have we ever had
- 3:41Speaker 4: one where somebody is traded like, hey, we need to
- 3:44Speaker 4: guaranteed opt out, like there's a buyout.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Of the Like I've never heard of that.
- 3:48Speaker 4: So in no way somebody's going to trade for him
- 3:51Speaker 4: thinking we might have to pay this guy eighty million
- 3:53Speaker 4: the next two years.
- 3:56Speaker 1: There's no chance you can get a player to agree
- 3:58Speaker 1: to that because if he goes to the team and
- 4:00Speaker 1: get hurt, goes on fire policy. But you know what
- 4:03Speaker 1: I'm saying, like, if you say, hey, we need you
- 4:05Speaker 1: to write a clause in that you will opt out
- 4:08Speaker 1: after the year, So it's a true free agent acquisition.
- 4:10Speaker 1: What if he gets hurt in August, he just toss
- 4:13Speaker 1: his eighty million away.
- 4:14Speaker 2: He would never do.
- 4:15Speaker 4: There's no way.
- 4:15Speaker 1: The whole point of signing those deals the fact that yes,
- 4:18Speaker 1: you get some security on the back end, but you're
- 4:20Speaker 1: not signing for seven, eight, nine years that the teams
- 4:22Speaker 1: don't want. So you can't have it both ways. I
- 4:25Speaker 1: mean you can try, but that's just not how it works.
- 4:27Speaker 1: He's not going to agree to that. So I agree
- 4:29Speaker 1: it's going to be how do you trade him? I
- 4:30Speaker 1: mean you have to. A team could trade for him
- 4:34Speaker 1: and just say, okay, we're taking on the risk.
- 4:36Speaker 2: It is what it is.
- 4:37Speaker 1: But the problem is nowadays everything's in a computer, So
- 4:39Speaker 1: how do you calculate what's happening if you don't know
- 4:41Speaker 1: what's going to happen?
- 4:44Speaker 5: Well you don't, you don't.
- 4:45Speaker 4: But yeah, if he can't, if he goes on the heater,
- 4:49Speaker 4: a bobasht heater, it's just a ton of knocks.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Like he's a.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Hitter, and I don't think his strikeout rate is like
- 4:56Speaker 4: that exuberant, but he's never been like a massive on
- 4:59Speaker 4: base percentage compared to his batting average. So a heater
- 5:03Speaker 4: is just him him knocking some doubles, getting some extra
- 5:07Speaker 4: base hit or getting some base hits the opposite field
- 5:10Speaker 4: in RBI situations, like that's him going on a heater
- 5:13Speaker 4: a team. I have a hard time believing a team
- 5:15Speaker 4: is gonna say, yes, we're gonna give guaranteed eighty million
- 5:19Speaker 4: for the next two years to a guy that we're
- 5:21Speaker 4: trading with some prospects. I don't even think there'll be
- 5:24Speaker 4: many prospects. It would just be the Mets getting out
- 5:25Speaker 4: from underneath the contract to get a guy that.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Could hit two for you.
- 5:32Speaker 4: If you're a playoff team, he might be like a
- 5:34Speaker 4: fifth or sixth hitter. Like, that's a lot of money
- 5:37Speaker 4: in the in the next two years. Correct, there's a
- 5:41Speaker 4: lot of money to turn it walk away from it is.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I know he's only going to be twenty nine years old,
- 5:45Speaker 4: but yep, it's still I mean he almost in three years.
- 5:51Speaker 4: He almost made what he with the Phillies offered him
- 5:53Speaker 4: in one nine years.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Does he have an opt out after year two or
- 5:59Speaker 4: is it just opt after one? I think both must
- 6:02Speaker 4: be willing to say one morning other one eighty in
- 6:07Speaker 4: the bank.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And also, when you come off a lockout, it's usually
- 6:11Speaker 1: stability and then teams field more company.
- 6:13Speaker 4: That's also my other thing. What happens if there's not
- 6:15Speaker 4: a season.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Well that doesn't matter either, right, you're not getting paid.
- 6:20Speaker 4: But if he doesn't opt out, then he doesn't have
- 6:21Speaker 4: that forty sitting there for.
- 6:25Speaker 1: When they come back, and well that depends the guys.
- 6:29Speaker 1: What happens is they try to sign before the lockout.
- 6:32Speaker 1: If you're doing stuff, remember last time around semion see
- 6:36Speaker 1: or some didn't, but I remember there was some big deals.
- 6:38Speaker 2: There was a ton of movement.
- 6:39Speaker 1: It was it was basically a deadline for a lot
- 6:42Speaker 1: of the big deals. With over thirty five million downloads,
- 6:46Speaker 1: sea geek is the number one rated.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Ticketing app and crats.
- 6:50Speaker 1: There are many many baseball games on the inventory to
- 6:54Speaker 1: check out all summer long. This is the season now.
- 6:56Speaker 1: It is baseball baseball season. Not many other options for
- 7:00Speaker 1: sports wise. I know you can go anywhere you want
- 7:02Speaker 1: to go with seakeek. There's so many tickets to choose from,
- 7:04Speaker 1: but baseball's center stage now for the next couple months.
- 7:08Speaker 4: School's out, I'm going to watch some baseball games, some
- 7:11Speaker 4: big league games, all in my area, and I want
- 7:13Speaker 4: to know exactly what it looks like, and I also
- 7:15Speaker 4: want the best deal, so I'm looking for the green,
- 7:18Speaker 4: not the red.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That's right, The green hooks you up with the best
- 7:21Speaker 1: deals on the app. Of course, we have the code
- 7:24Speaker 1: it's Territory ten for ten percent off your next set
- 7:26Speaker 1: of tickets at Sea Geek. That's ten percent off any
- 7:29Speaker 1: MLB tickets with the promo code Territory one zero. Make
- 7:34Speaker 1: sure you click the link in the description of this
- 7:36Speaker 1: episode that'll download the app if you don't have it already,
- 7:39Speaker 1: and you'll have the code automatically added to your account
- 7:42Speaker 1: so that you can use that code later. Thank you,
- 7:44Speaker 1: see Geek. While we're talking about the Villies, Bob wrote
- 7:48Speaker 1: that you know they're essentially desperately looking for outfield help.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It just is not enough production there. Plus Adoli Scarcia
- 7:55Speaker 1: is down torn what is it lack and he's gonna
- 7:58Speaker 1: miss most likely of the year. He mentioned names like Saya,
- 8:02Speaker 1: Suzuki and Joe Adele on their I'll give you a
- 8:05Speaker 1: stat to Kratz, so take out Harper, Schwarber, Marsh. Those
- 8:10Speaker 1: are the three best hitters by far this year. The
- 8:12Speaker 1: fourth best ops plus on the team is either of
- 8:16Speaker 1: you can throw it out there.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It's not easy. I mean, you know the guy.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But I'm saying, nope, nope, fourth best ops plus lea
- 8:28Speaker 1: average one hundred, fourth best hitter and.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Nope, stop yep, eighty two. Eighty two is your fourth best.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Great year.
- 8:40Speaker 1: No, that's what I'm saying. It's Schwarbert, Harper marsh After
- 8:43Speaker 1: those three it stot.
- 8:45Speaker 4: At eighty you like a Stubby or a marsh On.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Right, Well, they wouldn't qualify for it. I wasn't. But
- 8:52Speaker 2: the point is.
- 8:53Speaker 1: They need offense, and they specifically need outfield help and
- 8:59Speaker 1: that's actually usually and then you can find it the
- 9:00Speaker 1: trade deadline.
- 9:01Speaker 4: True.
- 9:02Speaker 1: So if you're the Phillies, if you're a Phillies fan,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you're pissed about what the offense looks like right now Kratz,
- 9:07Speaker 1: but you have to feel hopeful that you can remake
- 9:10Speaker 1: things a little bit on the fly with an extra
- 9:12Speaker 1: bat or two at the deadline.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Phillies really haven't gotten into the injury bug either from
- 9:18Speaker 4: any of their stars yet. Like, if you're looking at
- 9:21Speaker 4: Joe Adell or Seya Suzuki as like your massive offensive upgrades,
- 9:27Speaker 4: what are you really looking at? I mean, I think
- 9:28Speaker 4: I think Dombrowski. To me, I think Dombrowski even makes
- 9:32Speaker 4: a larger push for something else.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I'll be honest, like.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Just because of his track record of not being afraid
- 9:39Speaker 4: of just leaving a system decimated, I think I think
- 9:45Speaker 4: that push.
- 9:46Speaker 5: I think that push will.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Be there for a big outfield star that I don't
- 9:50Speaker 4: think we're necessarily have on the radar. Because they went
- 9:54Speaker 4: to the playoffs last year, they were winning every game,
- 9:59Speaker 4: and then the bullpen came in and they lost it. Okay,
- 10:02Speaker 4: so then they added to the bullpen. They added Keller,
- 10:04Speaker 4: they got rid of Strom, they added Bolin. How that's
- 10:07Speaker 4: going whatever, Alvarado he joined, he joined the bullpen, So
- 10:13Speaker 4: they feel like they've upgraded the bullpen, which is where
- 10:15Speaker 4: Dombrowski usually goes in the history of his career as
- 10:19Speaker 4: a GM. Now they have the other fact that they
- 10:23Speaker 4: just didn't hit quite enough in the playoffs the last
- 10:26Speaker 4: few years. So where's that. Joe Adell and Saya Suzuki
- 10:30Speaker 4: are not the answer in a Dombrowski type of world.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Maybe in a Brian Cashman type of world. I think
- 10:37Speaker 4: Don Browski's more in the aj peler. I will make
- 10:40Speaker 4: a big move whatever happens, happens. But we're making this
- 10:44Speaker 4: big move. So I'm more looking into Byron Buxton Land.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I mean that would be massive. He's been a top
- 10:51Speaker 1: five power guy in baseball. Look at the slugan percentage
- 10:54Speaker 1: this year. Saya Suzuki is a good bat. I know
- 10:57Speaker 1: he's dealing with what the knee has been a thing,
- 10:58Speaker 1: and his defense has been better this year one twenty
- 11:01Speaker 1: one ohps plus. His runners and scorm position numbers terrible,
- 11:04Speaker 1: but he's I think it was great last year. So
- 11:07Speaker 1: I think that would be a decent add But there
- 11:09Speaker 1: are others. We'll get to them, all right. So here's
- 11:13Speaker 1: what Bob said about Sandy. Teams are convinced the Marlins
- 11:17Speaker 1: will deal him this trade deadline.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Okay, we said where could he end up?
- 11:23Speaker 4: I mean anywhere anywhere.
- 11:29Speaker 1: They have their price, and the Marlins might be in
- 11:32Speaker 1: the wildcard race, they will still deal him. They are
- 11:35Speaker 1: a very You pay the price at any time. It
- 11:39Speaker 1: could be now, it could be August.
- 11:41Speaker 2: First, but you pay the price. White Sox would be great.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I'd be great.
- 11:48Speaker 4: I just don't know the White Sox will do that. Why,
- 11:50Speaker 4: because they're listening to new age front office.
- 11:52Speaker 2: His prospect orders so annoying.
- 11:56Speaker 4: They are, am I wrong. Find means new front office
- 11:59Speaker 4: that is not afraid to trade a prospect that'll become something. Okay,
- 12:02Speaker 4: then find me a new front office that wins the
- 12:04Speaker 4: World Series? Like be different, Like go to the Crego traded.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Craig Breslo traded four guys to the White Sox for
- 12:11Speaker 4: Garrett Crochet. All four of those have made an impact
- 12:14Speaker 4: on the White.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Sox and it scares the heck out of the neck.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Now every other team is like, well, we don't want
- 12:17Speaker 4: to make that deal because that's four guys that could
- 12:20Speaker 4: have made an impact on our team.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I always bring up PCA hobby By the.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Feel that one was crushing?
- 12:28Speaker 5: Was it though?
- 12:29Speaker 2: They found that?
- 12:30Speaker 1: The league feels it was because Bias did nothing and
- 12:35Speaker 1: pa but it took.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Years for I agree, I'm just and the Mets thought
- 12:39Speaker 4: they had a chance. The one I bring up is
- 12:41Speaker 4: the oldest chairman for glav Torres, how the cubby's doing?
- 12:46Speaker 4: Would you make that trade again?
- 12:48Speaker 2: Times over? You trade it all for a World Series title?
- 12:53Speaker 4: You should With the Brewers trade made Laura Cooper, Pratt,
- 12:59Speaker 4: every other guy that have down there for a World
- 13:01Speaker 4: Series they've never won one.
- 13:02Speaker 2: The funny thing is, would they do it the guys
- 13:04Speaker 2: you mentioned.
- 13:05Speaker 1: That's like there's a whole nother layer that they could
- 13:08Speaker 1: trade and avoid those guys and still.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Get I'm just going on off the top of my head, right,
- 13:13Speaker 4: And no.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Doubt you would you should trade any of those if.
- 13:15Speaker 4: You're the Marriers. I don't know the Marrier's top, Cold Emerson.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Would you trade him for a World Series?
- 13:19Speaker 2: Of course, it's.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Not even close, not even close.
- 13:24Speaker 4: And if your team doesn't want to do that, then
- 13:27Speaker 4: you shouldn't even really cheer for your team. In my opinion,
- 13:30Speaker 4: you go to ell your field, you go to the
- 13:33Speaker 4: rate now or whatever they're calling it.
- 13:36Speaker 5: It is electric.
- 13:37Speaker 4: If you say, I really don't want to add Sandy
- 13:39Speaker 4: up contra there now, we'll deal with who we got.
- 13:43Speaker 4: We'll run fetti out there every once in a while. No,
- 13:46Speaker 4: you want a guy that will be the headliner for
- 13:48Speaker 4: your rotation or the number two guy behind behind David
- 13:53Speaker 4: like whatever.
- 13:53Speaker 5: It is.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Probably center best. You know what, I'll trade my prospects
- 13:57Speaker 4: because you know what, there's a draft next year. In
- 13:59Speaker 4: an international I get ten more or twenty more.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and one of the
- 14:08Speaker 1: hosts of Brewer Territory is joining us right now.
- 14:10Speaker 2: It's Kurt Hoag. Kurt, great to see you, oh man.
- 14:14Speaker 1: We got to start right with the miss one of
- 14:15Speaker 1: the best pitching performances we've seen in a game almost ever.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Fifteen punchouts, he pulls off a Maddox. What else can
- 14:23Speaker 1: you tell us about a guy who didn't even think
- 14:25Speaker 1: he had his best stuff until what halfway through?
- 14:28Speaker 3: Yeah, this guy came out of the locker room and said,
- 14:31Speaker 3: I didn't have the good stuff until like the fifth inning.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Are you kidding me?
- 14:34Speaker 3: Dude? You threw one or four point five on the
- 14:36Speaker 3: black the Kyle Schwarzer. But that's kind of where where
- 14:40Speaker 3: we're at with Miz right now. The craziest thing about it, Scott,
- 14:45Speaker 3: is like a year ago, if you're looking at the
- 14:47Speaker 3: scouting scale, you're like, if this guy's got forty command,
- 14:51Speaker 3: he's gonna be a really good pitcher. And now we're
- 14:53Speaker 3: looking at it and he's just living in the zone.
- 14:55Speaker 3: He doesn't even necessarily need like pinpoint command. He's just
- 14:58Speaker 3: putting it in the zone and no one's touching it.
- 15:02Speaker 3: It's I know, when we're watching it it's just like
- 15:05Speaker 3: this whole thing of what the heck is going on?
- 15:08Speaker 3: But so I feel like we are appreciating how insane
- 15:11Speaker 3: this is, but let us not lose sight of how
- 15:14Speaker 3: insane the jump that he's made this year is.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Yeah, what what is this? Joe? Where did this jump
- 15:20Speaker 4: come from? Did did the Brewers really see this coming?
- 15:22Speaker 4: Because even in the playoffs last year, remember he was, ah,
- 15:25Speaker 4: we don't know what we're gonna get at him. I've
- 15:27Speaker 4: talked to Pat. I talked to Pat Murphy last year,
- 15:29Speaker 4: like how is he a starter as your reliever? What's
- 15:32Speaker 4: he gonna be? And now all of a sudden, he's
- 15:33Speaker 4: taken a meteoric rise to top five pitcher in the
- 15:36Speaker 4: game this year so far?
- 15:37Speaker 5: What what was it?
- 15:37Speaker 4: Where did this jump come from?
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's I mean there's more strength. That's the easiest
- 15:43Speaker 3: thing to point to his legs. I was just watching
- 15:46Speaker 3: a video I took of him and his first high
- 15:48Speaker 3: a start that would have been in twenty three, And
- 15:51Speaker 3: the legs are there, they're twigs, they're twig branches. And
- 15:56Speaker 3: now he's put on twenty more pounds this offseason, Like
- 15:59Speaker 3: the guy can score lot three. He wasn't I wasn't sure,
- 16:02Speaker 3: like how he didn't know if it was three or
- 16:04Speaker 3: four plates. He's just like I just throw it on
- 16:06Speaker 3: the bench and squat it, which I guess that's probably
- 16:09Speaker 3: quintessential mis right there. But like, he can lift a
- 16:11Speaker 3: lot of weight. His lower half is really strong, his
- 16:13Speaker 3: core is strong, and that's obviously where the velocity is
- 16:16Speaker 3: coming from. Now does that single handedly explain going from
- 16:21Speaker 3: a guy that he's gonna walk five per nine maybe
- 16:25Speaker 3: six per nine as a starter as a reliever, to
- 16:28Speaker 3: someone who's walking almost like almost down to under two
- 16:32Speaker 3: per nine. And if you go back over his nine starts,
- 16:34Speaker 3: he's not walking anyone. So that's not a normal jump.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I know, guys, guys make leaps, guys get better, skills improved,
- 16:42Speaker 3: but to do it this fast is freakish. But then again,
- 16:47Speaker 3: it's a picture who's freakish. Why Why shouldn't the guy
- 16:50Speaker 3: who's able to throw harder than any starting pitcher before
- 16:54Speaker 3: be able to make leaps in his control that we
- 16:56Speaker 3: didn't expect?
- 16:58Speaker 4: Have they figured out this whole crapeamping thing And that's
- 17:01Speaker 4: why they allowed him to go nine innings because before
- 17:03Speaker 4: it was like, okay, he's got a little bit cramped
- 17:06Speaker 4: or no, Now we got to stop it because last
- 17:08Speaker 4: time he cramped. Have they figured it out? So are
- 17:10Speaker 4: we going to expect some more seven and eight inning
- 17:14Speaker 4: outings from him?
- 17:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll see how they manage the innings. That's going
- 17:18Speaker 3: to be ultimately a question because he's kind of blown
- 17:21Speaker 3: outside of the water in the amount of innings that
- 17:25Speaker 3: he's covered. I think he's top ten in baseball right
- 17:27Speaker 3: now in total innings. He's consistently getting to the sixth,
- 17:29Speaker 3: consistently getting to the seventh and through those innings as well.
- 17:32Speaker 3: The cramps mis says that the Brewers says that they
- 17:36Speaker 3: say it it was, they call it. They're calling it,
- 17:38Speaker 3: you know, the fluke. They didn't. They don't think it's
- 17:40Speaker 3: something that's going to happen again. We'll see. Miss has
- 17:45Speaker 3: kind of had a history of these little bitty things
- 17:48Speaker 3: coming up later in outings. I remember his debut, he
- 17:50Speaker 3: rolled his ankle a little bit. He kind of lands
- 17:53Speaker 3: awkwardly on the mound. You'll see it at least once
- 17:55Speaker 3: an outing. But the man says he's liking those honey
- 17:58Speaker 3: stinger waffles. I think they're like he's just munching on
- 18:01Speaker 3: those between innings. Getting some sodium, getting some electrolytes, and
- 18:06Speaker 3: I mean like the dude through one O three on
- 18:08Speaker 3: pitch ninety five. So whatever he's doing, whatever he's doing
- 18:12Speaker 3: is working. That graphic is it is pretty hilarious. And
- 18:16Speaker 3: it keeps growing too. I remember when it was like
- 18:19Speaker 3: the twenty fastest pitches. Now it's one hundred and seventy.
- 18:23Speaker 4: The honey stinger waffles, he's just eating those because they
- 18:25Speaker 4: taste really good. They have nothing to do with you know,
- 18:28Speaker 4: like like like Kawasaki said, you know, you gotta eat bananas.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Monkey's never cramped. Okay, So that's what that's what he's
- 18:36Speaker 5: got to do, is there?
- 18:38Speaker 4: Because he goes, they're pushing him back one day for
- 18:40Speaker 4: this next start. Is there a world where the Brewers
- 18:46Speaker 4: start skipping a few starts?
- 18:49Speaker 3: Yes, maybe down the road. I think we're looking at
- 18:52Speaker 3: like August September ish, and it's not I don't know
- 18:58Speaker 3: so much how how grand the skipping would be, you know,
- 19:02Speaker 3: if they're gonna put twelve days in between starts. But
- 19:05Speaker 3: they've already been managing it in the sense of they've
- 19:07Speaker 3: been going with a six man rotation, whether it's directly
- 19:10Speaker 3: six men or using the off days to like they're
- 19:13Speaker 3: just giving the guys five or six days between just
- 19:16Speaker 3: about every start. They've been doing it for a while now,
- 19:19Speaker 3: even with their pitching injuries. So yeah, you're gonna get
- 19:22Speaker 3: to a point where your playoff I mean, the Proof's
- 19:25Speaker 3: playoff odds are probably already in the high nineties. You
- 19:28Speaker 3: can get to a point where you just feel like
- 19:29Speaker 3: you're locked in to a playoff seed, whether it's a
- 19:32Speaker 3: Division Tyler, wildcard or whatever. And at that point, the
- 19:37Speaker 3: onus becomes, you need this guy at his best in October.
- 19:41Speaker 3: You need him at his best for the postseason. Last
- 19:45Speaker 3: year he was there, Like it's encouraging to see that
- 19:48Speaker 3: he threw his most innings of his career. I think
- 19:50Speaker 3: he was already at one thirty maybe one forty ish
- 19:53Speaker 3: by the time he got to the playoffs, most he
- 19:54Speaker 3: had ever thrown. And he still looks fantastic in the playoffs. So,
- 19:57Speaker 3: like I said earlier, we're talking about unicorn, talk about
- 20:00Speaker 3: like a giraffe that throws one O four. There's no
- 20:03Speaker 3: cop for him, but we do know that pictures are
- 20:08Speaker 3: going to be tired by the end of the season.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Support for today's episode comes from Square and they've got

- 21:13Speaker 4: Kurt, there's another really good picture on the Brewers that
- 21:16Speaker 4: we need to hit on Harrison, right, I mean he's
- 21:18Speaker 4: been He pitched great again last night and he was awesome.
- 21:21Speaker 4: How bad is the Vegas Star going to hurt him?
- 21:23Speaker 4: Because he could be his era would be right there
- 21:26Speaker 4: if not for the Vegas Star. What did they figure out?
- 21:29Speaker 4: We talked about what they figured out? Miss What did
- 21:30Speaker 4: they figure out with Harrison that's made him and turn
- 21:33Speaker 4: a huge corner that the Red Sox and Giants couldn't
- 21:35Speaker 4: figure out.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean Harrison, it feels like the Brewers. The
- 21:39Speaker 3: main thing is the Brewers acquired him like at the
- 21:41Speaker 3: right time in his career. You know, the Brewers have
- 21:44Speaker 3: such a great track work of developing pictures. And I'm
- 21:46Speaker 3: not saying that it wasn't a great fit, because it
- 21:49Speaker 3: absolutely was. I think what the best thing they had
- 21:52Speaker 3: going for them is Kyle Harrison had three years of
- 21:56Speaker 3: you know, varying experiences with different orgs and and you know,
- 22:00Speaker 3: he's still a young guy, but that experience kind of
- 22:02Speaker 3: turned him into gave him some veteran savvy and some
- 22:06Speaker 3: veteran ability of like what do I need to do
- 22:09Speaker 3: with my stuff in my body and my arsenal to
- 22:11Speaker 3: become a really good pitcher and get the most out
- 22:14Speaker 3: of it. And there's just all these little tweaks that
- 22:16Speaker 3: he's made that the Brewers have made, you know, his
- 22:18Speaker 3: final his final batter of the exhibition game, Chris Hook
- 22:21Speaker 3: goes to him and he's like, hey, let's let's let's
- 22:24Speaker 3: go to the other side of the rubber. And suddenly
- 22:27Speaker 3: it looks great in the one batter and they're like, oh, this,
- 22:30Speaker 3: like this tunnels the breaking ball so much better than
- 22:32Speaker 3: the fastball. You can live on both sides of the plate.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Now he's lifting heavier, he's putting on weight during the season.
- 22:38Speaker 3: I think he said, he said, like fifteen pounds since
- 22:40Speaker 3: beginning of spring training. So look me too, buddy, But
- 22:44Speaker 3: it ain't helping me. It's clearly it's clearly helping him.
- 22:47Speaker 3: They have just found a bunch of little fixes that
- 22:50Speaker 3: are getting the most out of the guy.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Are the Brewers big into that you mentioned moving on
- 22:57Speaker 4: the rubber. I know when I was at the White Sox,
- 22:58Speaker 4: Don Cooper was a big artitching coach, was big on
- 23:01Speaker 4: moving guys in the rubber, and we didn't talk about tunneling,
- 23:03Speaker 4: but it was more of a control thing and makes
- 23:05Speaker 4: it easier to get to one side of the other head.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Kyle Harrison never tried that, and another team never suggested that.
- 23:12Speaker 4: I mean, I know when I've talked to like high
- 23:14Speaker 4: school kids, Hey, you consistently are missing one side. Why
- 23:17Speaker 4: don't you move on the other side of the rubber?
- 23:19Speaker 4: And it opens up so many more avenues for you.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Yeah, whether it's whether it's that or Like Chad Patrick
- 23:26Speaker 3: had a rough week last week, but one of the
- 23:28Speaker 3: big fixes for him since going to the bullpen is
- 23:30Speaker 3: just like, dude, we're like, we're gonna work out of
- 23:32Speaker 3: the stretch. They've done att least some of this stuff
- 23:35Speaker 3: with Miz too. I think back to Freddie's season last year.
- 23:39Speaker 3: One of the things that kind of sparked it was
- 23:41Speaker 3: he shifted on the rubber as well. I don't know
- 23:43Speaker 3: how to help compares to other teams, but it's certainly
- 23:47Speaker 3: one of It's certainly one of the things that they're
- 23:48Speaker 3: trying out with their pitchers.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Yeah, when I was there, it was Derek Johnson. Now
- 23:53Speaker 4: it's Hooky. I was there when Hooky took over the
- 23:56Speaker 4: thing that those pitching coaches have done. And this is
- 23:58Speaker 4: why I think they have so much success is it's
- 24:01Speaker 4: not one size fits all. It's not, hey, this is
- 24:03Speaker 4: what we do as the Brewers. We're gonna move you
- 24:06Speaker 4: on the rut. No, it's like, hey, we'd see how
- 24:07Speaker 4: your body moves. We see all that stuff, and you
- 24:10Speaker 4: see the success or maybe I'm wrong, you see the
- 24:12Speaker 4: success in different types.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Of pictures on in the organization.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Absolutely, yeah. You talk about you know the word that
- 24:20Speaker 3: the buzzword that goes around is the pitching lab. Well,
- 24:23Speaker 3: here's the news flash. It's like, the pitching lab's cool,
- 24:27Speaker 3: But it ain't the pitching lab that does this. It's
- 24:30Speaker 3: it's a holistic environment of pitching that you know. It's
- 24:34Speaker 3: Chris ho Jim Henderson, the pitching coaches. There's some synergy
- 24:37Speaker 3: as well between the front office and and they don't
- 24:40Speaker 3: take like you said, Cratzy, they don't take a one
- 24:42Speaker 3: size fits all approach to it. They want to get
- 24:45Speaker 3: you in. They want to learn who you are and
- 24:48Speaker 3: then maybe we'll tweak a little thing here, tweak a
- 24:50Speaker 3: little thing there. But the thing that they I think
- 24:53Speaker 3: do best is allowing guy's strengths, determining what guy's strengths
- 24:57Speaker 3: are determining like what their makeup is, what gets them going,
- 25:00Speaker 3: and combining those making a little tweak here, maybe a
- 25:04Speaker 3: little tweak there, once they get to know you, and
- 25:06Speaker 3: that that's what can can you get the most out
- 25:08Speaker 3: of you? And we're seeing it now. You know the
- 25:11Speaker 3: best one to starting punch probably so far this season
- 25:15Speaker 3: with miss and Harrison.
- 25:17Speaker 4: And Kurt you don't even need to respond, but you
- 25:19Speaker 4: can say that Kyle Harrison has put putting on this
- 25:21Speaker 4: fifteen pounds because Culver's is everywhere, and that exactly people
- 25:27Speaker 4: who are listening. Kurts, he doesn't know, but it's Culver's
- 25:31Speaker 4: fifteen pounds. Everybody can throw harder, strike more people out,
- 25:35Speaker 4: and hit more dingers, which we need some more dingers
- 25:38Speaker 4: from Cooper Pratt, who is supposedly scheduled to make his start.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Can he eat some culvers? And what do we need
- 25:44Speaker 4: to expect from the Brewers' new shortstop?
- 25:48Speaker 3: Hey, well, some culvers, some added strength. That's what they're
- 25:51Speaker 3: looking for from Cooper Pratt. Maybe not this year, that's
- 25:54Speaker 3: maybe more of a long term thing. Look, Cratzy, the
- 25:57Speaker 3: bar is not particularly high. It's somewhere near the floor
- 26:01Speaker 3: for the production. So I feel like that's actually a
- 26:05Speaker 3: good thing in a way for Cooper Pratt, Like the
- 26:07Speaker 3: expectations for him are not to sustain the production of
- 26:11Speaker 3: a Churio or a Terrang. The OPS from the left
- 26:14Speaker 3: side is under six hundred this season. It's been really bad,
- 26:18Speaker 3: and Cooper Pratt a plays great defense, So you have
- 26:20Speaker 3: that baseline, and if you can just do something that
- 26:23Speaker 3: is along the lines of what they were already getting
- 26:25Speaker 3: maybe a little better, then I think the Brewers will
- 26:29Speaker 3: be just happy with that. They're gonna let him play
- 26:31Speaker 3: all the time. Like I said, his defense gives you
- 26:34Speaker 3: a nice floor. He's walked as much as he's struck
- 26:36Speaker 3: out at triple A. If you can continue some semblance
- 26:39Speaker 3: of decent swing, decisions, decent contact, and then he's shown
- 26:43Speaker 3: you some flair for some line drives. There's power in
- 26:46Speaker 3: the frame even if he doesn't get to it a ton.
- 26:48Speaker 3: You would like to think that that would be able
- 26:51Speaker 3: to clear the bar that's been said of like a
- 26:54Speaker 3: six hundred ops, because man, they have just been getting
- 26:57Speaker 3: next to nothing from the left side all season, and
- 27:00Speaker 3: which then again makes it incredible that they're what sixteen
- 27:03Speaker 3: seventeen games over five hundred with two spots where they've
- 27:05Speaker 3: gotten nothing.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Kurt, Will they make a move at the trade deadline?
- 27:10Speaker 4: Will they finally go for it? Will they finally get
- 27:12Speaker 4: rid of some of these I know they keep signing
- 27:14Speaker 4: all these position players in the minor leagues and all
- 27:16Speaker 4: these prospects, but can they make the move to put
- 27:19Speaker 4: them over the hunt because nineteen eighty two, Kurt, I
- 27:21Speaker 4: don't know if you were even alive then.
- 27:23Speaker 5: That was a long time ago.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I wasn't even Nope, sorry not to bring agent to this.
- 27:29Speaker 3: I wasn't even close to alive. I don't want to
- 27:34Speaker 3: just throw cold water on this, like I'm trying not to.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Whether it's on this show, Brewer territory, a story, whatever,
- 27:42Speaker 3: But I feel like my job is a little bit
- 27:44Speaker 3: to throw some water on the you know, the idea
- 27:47Speaker 3: that the Brewers are going to get schooble, that they're
- 27:48Speaker 3: going to go make a huge splash. Look, they they're comprehensive.
- 27:53Speaker 3: They are going to be involved in the conversations. They're
- 27:55Speaker 3: going to be reaching out like they will have these discussions.
- 27:59Speaker 3: But here's the question that I post. Who is the
- 28:02Speaker 3: best prospect that the Brewers have traded in the last
- 28:06Speaker 3: four or five seasons, you know, like since the the
- 28:10Speaker 3: Elch deal is kind of the one off, and that
- 28:12Speaker 3: was now eight plus years ago. They have a system,
- 28:17Speaker 3: they believe in the system and go in and throwing
- 28:22Speaker 3: their chips into the middle of the table for a
- 28:26Speaker 3: very short term return. You can argue either side of it,
- 28:30Speaker 3: but they just have not done that. So I'm sure
- 28:33Speaker 3: they'll go out. I'm sure they'll do something to make
- 28:35Speaker 3: the team better. They have each year. Last year was
- 28:37Speaker 3: a sneaky okay deadline for them, but they have not
- 28:41Speaker 3: been close to being the team that trades Luis Peigno
- 28:46Speaker 3: or Pratt or Luis Laura or They've got all these
- 28:49Speaker 3: prospects and it would make you think, hey, they're the
- 28:51Speaker 3: perfect team to go get a scoople, to go get
- 28:54Speaker 3: someone else big like that, maybe it's Freddy Perolta, But
- 28:56Speaker 3: so far they haven't done it. And I'm not saying
- 28:58Speaker 3: they're not going to, but I'm saying history tells us
- 29:01Speaker 3: that they are less likely to do that than a
- 29:04Speaker 3: team like the Dodgers or someone else that that's willing
- 29:08Speaker 3: to just you know, kick their prospects away.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Brewers fans would love love nothing more than for somebody
- 29:15Speaker 4: big to be brought in and to make it to
- 29:17Speaker 4: that World Series. That will be a team that would
- 29:19Speaker 4: be remembered forever. Because you don't make it, you're not
- 29:23Speaker 4: gonna be remembered. It'll just be another just fell short.
- 29:26Speaker 4: One way they can pick somebody up is if you
- 29:29Speaker 4: can tell us some good news on Big Wu's rehab
- 29:33Speaker 4: slash timetable.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Big Wu looking let another start, I believe this week,
- 29:39Speaker 3: and then theoretically right the date on the schedule to
- 29:43Speaker 3: return might be next week, perhaps in Cincinnati. The Brewers
- 29:47Speaker 3: are I mean, they haven't really given a ton of
- 29:50Speaker 3: detail on this the whole time because with the nature
- 29:53Speaker 3: of the injury and kind of Big Woo's injury history,
- 29:55Speaker 3: there's a lot of touch and feel to it. I
- 29:58Speaker 3: don't know if we're going to see him back at
- 29:59Speaker 3: ninety four ninety five. It's it's hard to say exactly
- 30:02Speaker 3: because remember last year when he was coming back from
- 30:04Speaker 3: rehab that the velocity was low, and then he came
- 30:07Speaker 3: back and suddenly, oh, oh that's a different pitcher. I
- 30:11Speaker 3: think that's not not exactly the big the old Big Wu,
- 30:13Speaker 3: but it's close to it. So it's it's it's difficult
- 30:16Speaker 3: to say entirely how he's gonna look. But in his
- 30:19Speaker 3: rehab starts, in his live live, you know, live abs
- 30:23Speaker 3: and whatnot, it's then more change ups, more cutters. So
- 30:25Speaker 3: I think he's adapting to the various ways in which
- 30:29Speaker 3: his body might tell him he has to pitch. But
- 30:31Speaker 3: if we know one thing about this guy, it's that
- 30:33Speaker 3: he's gonna be able to pitch and pitch pretty effectively
- 30:36Speaker 3: no matter how fast the stuff is exactly coming out.
- 30:40Speaker 4: That's some good news for him. Let's let's talk one
- 30:43Speaker 4: injury that a lot of fans don't know about Pat Murphy.
- 30:45Speaker 4: He's got a bad hip. I'm sure you've been in
- 30:47Speaker 4: his office and he's got this machine that sits next
- 30:49Speaker 4: to him. I don't know he calls it. I forget
- 30:51Speaker 4: what he called it. He has a name for it,
- 30:53Speaker 4: whatever he calls. Yeah, but he has a hip. Is
- 30:57Speaker 4: he gonna get surgery on this hip or I know
- 30:59Speaker 4: when I was there a couple weeks ago, he kind
- 31:00Speaker 4: of said, I don't want to have surgery till the
- 31:02Speaker 4: end of the year. But is it getting to the
- 31:04Speaker 4: point where you're gonna lose Murph for a couple of days?
- 31:06Speaker 4: Because he can't even walk to the mound anymore.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's scheduled for the All Star break a hip surgery.
- 31:12Speaker 3: I'm not a hip surgery expert. Does that mean you
- 31:14Speaker 3: know he misses? He misses some days. I personally think
- 31:17Speaker 3: he should just get the scooter, get the surgery, and then.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Get the scooter.
- 31:20Speaker 3: I want some scooters. That would be good content. It
- 31:24Speaker 3: would be funny you mentioned Murph Murph out there. I
- 31:28Speaker 3: think he has a motorized scooter too, that they that
- 31:30Speaker 3: they gifted him. So let's like, why not, let's use
- 31:34Speaker 3: what you got man. But yeah, he has been in
- 31:37Speaker 3: all seriousness, Murf has been in a lot of pain
- 31:39Speaker 3: for the last few weeks, a few months. I mean
- 31:41Speaker 3: it's been ongoing. And he's got other ailments too, Like
- 31:44Speaker 3: his back is hurt. Obviously the hip is the one
- 31:46Speaker 3: that needs a surgery. His shoulder has like always been
- 31:49Speaker 3: messed up. There's just a bunch of a bunch of
- 31:52Speaker 3: a bunch of health He a bunch of health things
- 31:55Speaker 3: that are putting him on the injured list as well.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Kurk, can you imagine the content, Like he goes and
- 31:59Speaker 4: takes out miss oh he had he drives a scooter
- 32:02Speaker 4: out there and then miss it's on his back as
- 32:04Speaker 4: he drives the scooter back to the dugout or whoever
- 32:07Speaker 4: whoever he takes in and out of the game. They
- 32:09Speaker 4: have to put their arms around Murph and Mrv's driving
- 32:11Speaker 4: on and yes they have to stop and put helmets on.
- 32:14Speaker 3: He's got peg But the bullpen card didn't quite catch on.
- 32:19Speaker 3: So what about the Murph scooter car?
- 32:21Speaker 5: Why not? Exactly?
- 32:22Speaker 4: Why not? Yes, anything with Murph is good.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Yeah, of course he would.
- 32:29Speaker 4: He would complain at all about it. He wouldn't complain
- 32:34Speaker 4: at all about him Murph Murty wouldn't complain at one minute.
- 32:36Speaker 4: He probably hit any an he.
- 32:40Speaker 3: He he would like act like it's the worst thing ever,
- 32:42Speaker 3: but like, deep down, deep down, he would love it.
- 32:45Speaker 3: He would be obsessed with it because it's a funny
- 32:48Speaker 3: it's a funny bit and like that's thirty seven No,
- 32:51Speaker 3: it's like ninety seven percent of this guy's personality exactly.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Exhibit A from the Weekend. Can you walk us through
- 33:00Speaker 1: how Forrest go made a cameo?
- 33:03Speaker 3: Well, this goes back to last year when when Murph
- 33:06Speaker 3: was just constantly comparing mis to Forrest Gump, and he's
- 33:10Speaker 3: he's he says. He means it like in a confimentary way,
- 33:13Speaker 3: like he's he succeeds because he's just so in his
- 33:17Speaker 3: own world, like oblivious kind of to to what he's
- 33:21Speaker 3: capable of, what he's not capable of. And then he
- 33:24Speaker 3: said it again after after the game on Friday, were
- 33:27Speaker 3: struck out fifteen pitching Ninja I think was the one
- 33:29Speaker 3: that tweeted out the clip and then sure enough, So
- 33:32Speaker 3: I don't know who did I don't know who did it.
- 33:34Speaker 3: I don't like no offense, Miss, but I don't think
- 33:36Speaker 3: he's he's nice, like nice like that with graphic editing.
- 33:39Speaker 3: I don't think. I don't think that's his forte. Someone
- 33:42Speaker 3: did it.
- 33:42Speaker 5: I don't know who he was pitching.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Yeah, he was pitching.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I know that Miss is kind of like a geek though, right,
- 33:51Speaker 1: which is fine.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Listen, if you talk to it, he's like he's like
- 33:54Speaker 4: a nerd in the best kind of ways.
- 33:55Speaker 5: Yeah. Right.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I was at a card show yesterday and they were
- 33:58Speaker 4: talking about Pokemon, how hot Pokemon is Pokemon. I was
- 34:03Speaker 4: That's all I can think about, was Miss. And there's
- 34:05Speaker 4: like three guys that have the Pokemon glove with the
- 34:07Speaker 4: card in it. All I can think is all I
- 34:09Speaker 4: could think about was mis out there pitching with Pokemon,
- 34:11Speaker 4: going wonder if this card value is going up or down?
- 34:14Speaker 2: Some guys on their off days. Cool beach drinks, Miz
- 34:18Speaker 2: card shop, Pokemon.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Fine, everyone has their.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Third Legitimately, if I go to a card shop right
- 34:24Speaker 3: now down the road, there's a non zero chance I
- 34:27Speaker 3: would run into Mix.
- 34:30Speaker 2: And you can't.
- 34:31Speaker 3: It's where he goes. You can't.
- 34:33Speaker 5: That's fine.
- 34:34Speaker 4: It's better than going out to the bar drinking all.
- 34:35Speaker 1: No, it's the dream, that's what you want, right, Yes,
- 34:39Speaker 1: it might earn you an extension.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Quicker, Hey this guy, Yes.
- 34:42Speaker 1: This guy's not getting into trouble unless it gets pissed
- 34:45Speaker 1: off because he pulls the wrong cart. Crazy well, Kurt,
- 34:49Speaker 1: good stuff, good catching up, Brewer Territory which with much
- 34:53Speaker 1: much more. You'll hear them sometimes right after games to
