Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to the Rogue Recap.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Hot takes, cold facts and zero respect for the official narrative.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Sit back, roll your eyes and let's recap rogue style.
- 0:30Speaker 1: What's up everybody, and welcome to the Rogue Recap. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: am Linda McLaughlin here with my buddy and co host
- 0:36Speaker 1: Eric Eggers.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Hello, Eric, Linda.
- 0:39Speaker 4: The world continues to be insane and you continue to
- 0:42Speaker 4: be able to find out clips. I want to tell
- 0:44Speaker 4: everybody today's a very special episode. Not only will there
- 0:46Speaker 4: be the typical kind of like snarky and like can
- 0:48Speaker 4: you believe how ridiculous this is? You're going to learn
- 0:51Speaker 4: some stuff today, right, We're gonna learn some stuff. We're
- 0:53Speaker 4: gonna work in stuff about immigration policy and Broadway musicals.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So stay tuned.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And I want to just say, full disclosure, most of
- 1:01Speaker 1: these clips Eric hasn't seen yet because when I did
- 1:04Speaker 1: the show prep, I didn't send them all to him.
- 1:06Speaker 1: So today, as we were prepping for the show, he's like, yo, girls,
- 1:08Speaker 1: six clips, all right, keeping it tight, And I was like,
- 1:10Speaker 1: that seems a little light. I don't think I did six,
- 1:13Speaker 1: But so we started rolling through them and prepping and
- 1:16Speaker 1: he was like, you definitely did not send me this shit,
- 1:18Speaker 1: So apologies in advance. You are about to see the
- 1:21Speaker 1: Jeopardy version of this show because Eric's Wickett smart and
- 1:24Speaker 1: he's going to do it on the fly on some
- 1:25Speaker 1: of these.
- 1:26Speaker 4: So I'll take I'll take things Lenna should have sent
- 1:28Speaker 4: me an hour ago for a thousand.
- 1:31Speaker 1: So we're gonna jump right in. As you guys know,
- 1:35Speaker 1: we are incredibly upset about what's happening with immigration, specifically
- 1:39Speaker 1: illegal immigration. There is a difference. What are we not
- 1:43Speaker 1: allowed to call them? Now? The Democrats say we can't
- 1:44Speaker 1: call them illegals they're undocumented, and then you can't call
- 1:48Speaker 1: them aliens because they're humans. I'm going to tell your
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm can call them whatever I want. So these people
- 1:53Speaker 1: are illegals, they are aliens, they are illegal aliens, they
- 1:56Speaker 1: are illegal immigrants, they are all things that should not
- 1:58Speaker 1: be here because there's a bunch of people waiting in
- 2:00Speaker 1: line to do it the right way? Am I wrong?
- 2:02Speaker 3: Well?
- 2:02Speaker 4: But in Europe, Linda, they're called welcomed guests. Yeah, that's
- 2:06Speaker 4: the key difference, right, And so Europe has rolled out
- 2:09Speaker 4: the welcome Matt, and the Welcome Matt has turned into
- 2:12Speaker 4: an aircraft carrier traveling from one continent, Africa, I think
- 2:16Speaker 4: specifically to Europe.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're going to play for those of you listening,
- 2:22Speaker 1: we invite you to please when you get a minute
- 2:24Speaker 1: to take a look. This is a This has no
- 2:26Speaker 1: audio of this clip, but I found it and it's
- 2:28Speaker 1: basically a map. I think it started twenty twenty is
- 2:31Speaker 1: when they started it, and it just shows on like
- 2:34Speaker 1: little black dots floating over this map, these illegal immigrants
- 2:38Speaker 1: coming from five or six different countries, and how it
- 2:41Speaker 1: increased over the course of five to six years. And
- 2:44Speaker 1: it is frightening. Take a look at this and we
- 2:47Speaker 1: will tell you. Oh no, it starts twenty ten, twenty ten,
- 2:50Speaker 1: excuse me, but it shows you like Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan,
- 2:56Speaker 1: all countries that are super copastic with all things Western culture, democracy,
- 3:02Speaker 1: you know, different religions. They love that stuff. Right.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it's wild because like Elon Musk quote tweeted this
- 3:07Speaker 4: and said, that's a lot of illegal immigrants, and I,
- 3:10Speaker 4: you know, my first thought, just coming from my background
- 3:12Speaker 4: I saw it, I was like, well, the good Newsland is,
- 3:14Speaker 4: despite the fact that there's millions of people coming to
- 3:16Speaker 4: these countries, none of them are voting clearly not none.
- 3:20Speaker 4: And then and then you're reminded that actually there's a
- 3:23Speaker 4: chance that most of them aren't voting, because in every
- 3:25Speaker 4: European country except for England and Scotland, they actually require
- 3:30Speaker 4: voter ID. So imagine a world where you have unchecked immigration,
- 3:34Speaker 4: but you have enough common sense election integrity at the
- 3:37Speaker 4: ballot box that you still feel like, okay about who's
- 3:39Speaker 4: actually casting ballots.
- 3:40Speaker 3: In your country.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And yet for some reason, almost every barrister's name is
- 3:43Speaker 1: still Mohammed, a traditional English name. Of course, I mean,
- 3:47Speaker 1: who am I to judge?
- 3:48Speaker 3: But so there was a New York Times.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I have a friend of mine who actually lives in Scotland,
- 3:53Speaker 4: and he is called it a little bit more left
- 3:55Speaker 4: of center, and he was saying, we're talking about the
- 3:58Speaker 4: migration issue, right, because some people are like, oh, oh
- 4:00Speaker 4: my gosh, they come here. They're like flooding our you know,
- 4:02Speaker 4: national health service, they're flooding the welfare programs.
- 4:05Speaker 3: And my buddy was like.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Well, there was a New York Times article not too
- 4:08Speaker 4: long ago about how in Scotland they're actually looking from
- 4:11Speaker 4: they wish they could get more migrants. And it's like
- 4:13Speaker 4: this like small remote village where they don't have enough
- 4:16Speaker 4: people to work because it's like up in the god
- 4:18Speaker 4: forsaken hinterlands, right, So there are some places where they
- 4:22Speaker 4: need some more people. But I think that's the climate
- 4:24Speaker 4: and less about the culture.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I also think that the idea that we need more
- 4:28Speaker 1: people is a scapegoat and sort of like this bs
- 4:32Speaker 1: excuse to get them in. Like people are willing to work,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you're just not willing to pay them. And because the
- 4:38Speaker 1: cost of living is so high, and then the cost
- 4:40Speaker 1: of working has not obviously kept up with that because
- 4:43Speaker 1: of the fact that they're hiring illegal immigrants and they're
- 4:46Speaker 1: paying them an illegal immigrant wage. So when you go
- 4:49Speaker 1: out to these remote places where they don't have this
- 4:51Speaker 1: type of population, they don't have the workforce, but they
- 4:55Speaker 1: still can't pay them the right amount because it's a
- 4:58Speaker 1: national right wage. So we've got an ongoing issue there.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And they try to say, oh, no, we need people. No,
- 5:03Speaker 1: we don't need people. You just need to write the ship, bro,
- 5:06Speaker 1: why don't you stop lying everybody?
- 5:07Speaker 4: Well, And what they need to do is have a
- 5:09Speaker 4: common sense conversation where they're just very honest about like, hey,
- 5:12Speaker 4: what do we actually need and then should we adjust
- 5:14Speaker 4: our policies as a result, because this next clip what
- 5:17Speaker 4: you're going to show is, unfortunately, and I don't know
- 5:19Speaker 4: how they've identified this person as a quote unquote fake
- 5:22Speaker 4: asylum seeker.
- 5:23Speaker 3: That's not a term I was familiar with before today.
- 5:26Speaker 4: But what I can tell you is when you search
- 5:27Speaker 4: on social media for a fake asylum seeker, bro, it's
- 5:32Speaker 4: not a shortage of them. Now, so I guess, like,
- 5:35Speaker 4: let's look at just this video. It's someone who is,
- 5:38Speaker 4: let's say he's not filling out an asylum application right
- 5:41Speaker 4: here's apparently committing violence of some sort against an elderly couple.
- 5:46Speaker 3: And then we can talk about in larger context of
- 5:47Speaker 3: this existence.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Here we go. Now, if you're listening, there is an
- 5:55Speaker 1: asylum seeker, we would call him a fake asylum seeker
- 5:59Speaker 1: beating the loving shit out of a person who's in
- 6:02Speaker 1: a wheelchair. Okay, so the woman has a walking cane.
- 6:06Speaker 1: He takes the walking cane out of her hand, and
- 6:09Speaker 1: he's basically pistol whipping her with it. It's utter bullshit. Now,
- 6:13Speaker 1: let's set the scene. It's about two o'clock in the afternoon,
- 6:16Speaker 1: bright and sunny, no rain, clear as day. People slowly
- 6:20Speaker 1: approach slowly. How you got two people over the age
- 6:24Speaker 1: of seventy five get in there? There's ten of you
- 6:27Speaker 1: attack him? What are you waiting for? This is the
- 6:30Speaker 1: shit I don't understand.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Well, that's just British culture, right, I mean they're like, sir,
- 6:35Speaker 4: can we please have a conversation with your conduct?
- 6:39Speaker 3: Okay, I question, gentleman.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I tell you what I saw that video. There's two things.
- 6:47Speaker 1: On a daily basis, I hate most things, right, I'm
- 6:49Speaker 1: an equal opportunity hater. Everybody pisses me off. Most people
- 6:53Speaker 1: are struggling with the day to day. Okay, fine, simply
- 6:55Speaker 1: out of sheer laziness most of the time. But you
- 6:58Speaker 1: don't mess with old people, and you don't mess with
- 7:00Speaker 1: babies and puppies is not a thing. Are those are
- 7:04Speaker 1: areas they're cut off. You can't do it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: No, I agree, And I mean I have lots of questions.
- 7:09Speaker 4: And this is one of those things where these clips
- 7:10Speaker 4: emerge on social media. But like the phrase fake asylum seeker,
- 7:14Speaker 4: So I did some research the BBC of all things, Linda,
- 7:17Speaker 4: we're not talking about you know, like a like this
- 7:19Speaker 4: is not Fox they wus this is not a daily
- 7:23Speaker 4: wire situation. This is the BBC that a prolonged investigation
- 7:28Speaker 4: into the fake asylum industry. And so these people that
- 7:31Speaker 4: want to come from Africa or elsewhere, they hire people
- 7:34Speaker 4: to help them basically be coached into saying the right things.
- 7:38Speaker 4: And the two categories that you can qualify for asylum
- 7:41Speaker 4: is you can either say you have a certain religious
- 7:44Speaker 4: preference or you can be gay. And so they're trying
- 7:47Speaker 4: to coach you into Like, so imagine a world where
- 7:49Speaker 4: you've got these people like taking these people from North Africa. Like, so,
- 7:52Speaker 4: here's how you do it. You just have to pretend
- 7:54Speaker 4: like you're gay and then you get in. So I
- 7:56Speaker 4: actually have a solution for having can kind of stamp
- 7:58Speaker 4: out all this fake as island seeking in Europe.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Do you want to hear it?
- 8:02Speaker 1: I can't wait.
- 8:03Speaker 4: I think we should just start playing Broadway lyrics and
- 8:06Speaker 4: stop it and we say, okay, can you finish this song?
- 8:10Speaker 4: Like we go five hundred twenty five thousand, six hundred minutes,
- 8:15Speaker 4: and then how do you react to it?
- 8:17Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 8:19Speaker 1: It's so sick because honestly, you know, if you've never
- 8:23Speaker 1: seen Rent, that reference meant nothing to you. But for
- 8:26Speaker 1: the rest of us, who are from New York City. Yeah,
- 8:28Speaker 1: we've all seen it one hundred times and it's really
- 8:32Speaker 1: it's so I want to give a hat tip. The
- 8:34Speaker 1: account where that video came from is called Radio Genoa.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So I've been following Radio Genoa probably for about a decade,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and they put up the most awful shit that's happening
- 8:46Speaker 1: all over Europe.
- 8:47Speaker 3: It is why you followed it for a decade.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I need to know my enemy. I am not like
- 8:53Speaker 1: like people. I said to my girlfriend the other day.
- 8:56Speaker 1: She was like, I didn't know anything about that. I said,
- 8:57Speaker 1: I want to know what what land mass are you
- 9:01Speaker 1: under that you don't know this is happening. You're just
- 9:04Speaker 1: living in the sand. She's like, Lynn, I can't do it, man.
- 9:06Speaker 4: I can't you just know Here I will say this,
- 9:09Speaker 4: I've come to appreciate how much power the algorithms have
- 9:13Speaker 4: over our life. Like I'm in a group text with
- 9:15Speaker 4: some friends and one of them is very based like me,
- 9:17Speaker 4: and the other one's like, actually a real person who
- 9:19Speaker 4: does things for living.
- 9:20Speaker 3: And so I'm like, I bet.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I was like, I bet Ben's algo hasn't showed him
- 9:24Speaker 4: this yet, right, He's like, no, what is this?
- 9:26Speaker 3: And my friend. His wife was like, yeah, I saw
- 9:28Speaker 3: that two days ago.
- 9:32Speaker 1: You and I. I mean, we're both the news. This
- 9:34Speaker 1: is what we do all day long. And I'll send
- 9:36Speaker 1: you shit and you're like, bro, I did not see that.
- 9:38Speaker 3: No, it's true.
- 9:39Speaker 4: I'm just telling you, don't, like, don't miss this opportunity,
- 9:42Speaker 4: like we could have a whole office and like, okay,
- 9:44Speaker 4: mock mood. Come here, I'm gonna try defying, you know,
- 9:48Speaker 4: and see what he's got.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And then you're like me, I this is for me
- 9:52Speaker 1: one of the biggest problems. And then we'll move on
- 9:54Speaker 1: to our next clip of another person who sucks really bad.
- 9:57Speaker 1: There is an issue in Western culture where we are
- 10:01Speaker 1: unable to say what things are and it might be uncomfortable,
- 10:06Speaker 1: but that doesn't change the fact that they are what
- 10:08Speaker 1: they are. So if you happen to be from a
- 10:12Speaker 1: country where the main culture, right, religion, ideology, all the
- 10:17Speaker 1: things are the same is Islam, nine times out of ten,
- 10:21Speaker 1: you're not gonna blend. You're just not You're not gonna blend.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And I am waiting. As I have said many times
- 10:28Speaker 1: to my friends who are Muslims, and they'll say to me, no, no, no,
- 10:31Speaker 1: they're not alike that. I'm like, okay, good show me
- 10:33Speaker 1: the march of the secular Muslims protesting the radical Muslims
- 10:39Speaker 1: who are screaming death to the West, death to America,
- 10:43Speaker 1: death to Israel. We hate the Infidel. You're all Kaffirs.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Go ahead, go out stand up for me. I can't wait.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Let me see you're going to march down Broadway. You're
- 10:51Speaker 1: gonna be in DC in front of the National Mall.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I haven't seen that march.
- 10:56Speaker 3: No, they're just be hanging with Prince Charles.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Bruh. He that's you know, his name is Muhammad. Now
- 11:01Speaker 1: you know he changed, you know he did, and I
- 11:04Speaker 1: made I'm gonna make this joke because I don't care
- 11:06Speaker 1: because you know he has a little baby girl, a
- 11:08Speaker 1: little daughter, granddaughter. Excuse me, how old is Charlotte? You
- 11:12Speaker 1: know in some of those countries they marry that little
- 11:14Speaker 1: girl off. Doesn't that make you uncomfortable? Chucky? Nothing about
- 11:17Speaker 1: that makes you think, oh yeah, that's kind of weird.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You know, it's legalized pedophilia.
- 11:23Speaker 4: It is just like it's like the whole the very welcoming,
- 11:25Speaker 4: we want to be respectful, that's politically correct until until
- 11:29Speaker 4: like the consequences of oh wait, that that there's more
- 11:32Speaker 4: to this story, right, Like we signed up to more,
- 11:35Speaker 4: for more of this.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it needs to happen to them, right when it
- 11:39Speaker 1: happens to you. Does it change? Then? Does it matter?
- 11:41Speaker 5: Then?
- 11:42Speaker 1: Then do you care?
- 11:43Speaker 3: Well?
- 11:43Speaker 4: Look, I think that's what you're seeing in Los Angeles, right.
- 11:45Speaker 4: We haven't really gotten into the Spencer Pratt stuff, but
- 11:48Speaker 4: we don't have this gold although I did see maybe
- 11:50Speaker 4: the greatest commercial that was made, like a fake Batman
- 11:53Speaker 4: parody and like the Spencer Pratt stuff. But I just
- 11:55Speaker 4: think that that's kind of why you're seeing even a
- 11:57Speaker 4: Republican candidate be potentially viable because they're like, Okay, we
- 12:01Speaker 4: were all about this LA, we're all about this Left
- 12:03Speaker 4: Coast stuff for a long time, and then like now
- 12:06Speaker 4: literally everything we've got trash everywhere, the house is burned down.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Hermitian's keeping everything from being able to rebuilt. So we're
- 12:12Speaker 4: sort of forced to want to choose something else. I
- 12:15Speaker 4: think Spencer Prats like the LA mom Donnie right, Like,
- 12:18Speaker 4: I don't think that LA has become conservative. They just
- 12:20Speaker 4: think that everything else is so bad. Yeah, I feel
- 12:22Speaker 4: like they have to use something else, so I'll ha
- 12:23Speaker 4: to say, like, yeah, absolutely, like you embrace the thing
- 12:25Speaker 4: until the consequences of it becomes so just destitute and
- 12:31Speaker 4: uninhabitable that you like are kind of confronted.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, to your point, like your friend in Scotland who's
- 12:36Speaker 1: like woke, and you're like, but I don't understand if
- 12:39Speaker 1: you look at Ireland, if you look at Italy, I
- 12:42Speaker 1: don't know what happened at Georgia. Maloney she lost her balls.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I mean I used to think she was fantastic. It's
- 12:47Speaker 1: funny somebody they shall remain nameless, but somebody very high
- 12:51Speaker 1: up in politics told me once watch your ass. She's
- 12:53Speaker 1: not what you think she is. Yeah, like really, and
- 12:55Speaker 1: they're like, no good. And I loved her. I thought
- 12:58Speaker 1: she was fantastic. She was out there screaming in Italian
- 13:01Speaker 1: wear a nice pantsuit, still looking like a lady. I
- 13:03Speaker 1: was like, yeah, I'm about this. No negative, I'm not
- 13:05Speaker 1: into it at all. She's total fake news. I'm so disappointed.
- 13:09Speaker 1: You know, Angela Merkel, I expect that from her, No
- 13:12Speaker 1: I do. I'm like, that's Germany's Hillary.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I get right, But I tell.
- 13:16Speaker 1: You, they really they got a problem. They're raping their
- 13:19Speaker 1: women they're raping their girls, they're raping their children. They've
- 13:22Speaker 1: got these grooming gangs. What's going on?
- 13:24Speaker 3: Well, I think it's you know, it's asked and answered.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Thinking about the first clip we showed how many more
- 13:28Speaker 4: migrants have invaded this these areas.
- 13:31Speaker 3: So you now have a different.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Your political constituent has changed, right, what you support has
- 13:37Speaker 4: to like also change is you're going to stay in
- 13:39Speaker 4: front of it, just like Amy Klobashar is now pretending
- 13:42Speaker 4: to be like, tackle the fraud in Minnesota.
- 13:44Speaker 3: But it's like wools, stop it, Amy.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Stop it, Timmy, go back to putting the tampons in
- 13:50Speaker 1: the bathroom. Do me a favor, please. Everybody knows you
- 13:53Speaker 1: not about the fraud. It's you know, and his wife's
- 13:56Speaker 1: smelling the tires. It's it's clearly going to their heads.
- 13:58Speaker 1: You know, they're a problem. Okay, So this next clip
- 14:02Speaker 1: Eric has not been privy to, so fair warning. Everybody knows.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I hate Fauci, the fraud, terrible human being, responsible for
- 14:09Speaker 1: the murders of humans and beagles. I'm not about it.
- 14:12Speaker 1: This guy's a bad guy. So a friend of mine
- 14:15Speaker 1: was telling me, well, you know about Fauci from the eighties,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and I was like, no, I was a kid. I
- 14:18Speaker 1: don't know anything about Fauci from the eighties. They're like, yeah,
- 14:20Speaker 1: he's like the AIDS guy. He was the guy that
- 14:24Speaker 1: came out and was like, I have all the information,
- 14:26Speaker 1: I have all the research. I've been watching a bunch
- 14:28Speaker 1: of these videos. I'm like, oh my god, this is
- 14:31Speaker 1: like his trial run of COVID. He says all the
- 14:34Speaker 1: same shit. So I guess because excuse me, my algo
- 14:39Speaker 1: has me looking for Fauci. Now I get this Fauci
- 14:42Speaker 1: video from nineteen eighty whatever, and he's on there. Well,
- 14:47Speaker 1: you know, you shouldn't be in the same house with
- 14:48Speaker 1: someone and you shouldn't be in close contact. I'm sorry,
- 14:52Speaker 1: what are you saying?
- 14:53Speaker 4: No, it's a great like so for people I have
- 14:55Speaker 4: heard a little bit of this. So for people listening,
- 14:57Speaker 4: so listen to what Anthony Fauci says and imagine instead
- 15:00Speaker 4: of talking about HIV, AIDS and eighties, he's talking about COVID.
- 15:03Speaker 3: It kind of it is quite eerie.
- 15:05Speaker 2: It's scary starting to see as we're seeing virtually as
- 15:09Speaker 2: the months go by, other groups that can be involved,
- 15:12Speaker 2: and seeing it in children is really quite disturbing. Let
- 15:16Speaker 2: me say, other close contact. Give me some examples.
- 15:19Speaker 6: Well, for example, if the close contact of a child
- 15:22Speaker 6: is a household contact, perhaps there will be a certain
- 15:25Speaker 6: number of cases of individual who are just living with
- 15:28Speaker 6: and in close contact with someone with AIDS or a
- 15:30Speaker 6: risk of AIDS who does not necessarily have to have
- 15:33Speaker 6: intimate sexual contact or share a needle, but just the
- 15:36Speaker 6: ordinary close contact that one sees in normal into person.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so just add the word mask and get vaxed
- 15:46Speaker 1: and we're done.
- 15:48Speaker 4: So my favorite thing about doing the show with you
- 15:51Speaker 4: is that like you get to play all the things
- 15:54Speaker 4: from your algorithm that I haven't had to see, and
- 15:59Speaker 4: so it's like I don't have to like walk around
- 16:01Speaker 4: this existential dread because I've been exposed these things. But
- 16:04Speaker 4: I will say, you know he's talking about I think
- 16:05Speaker 4: you're not wrong to compare his response to AIDS back
- 16:09Speaker 4: then in his response to COVID. You know what else
- 16:12Speaker 4: AIDS and COVID have in common? Is Lenna maclaughlan still
- 16:15Speaker 4: thinks it's a sixty percent chance they both came from
- 16:16Speaker 4: a lab in China.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Hundred percent, not even six. I here's my problem, So Rampaul,
- 16:26Speaker 1: who I have some issues with, but we'll leave that
- 16:28Speaker 1: there for another day. Wrote a really great book on Fauci.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I really, I.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Got to give it to him. That book was well
- 16:35Speaker 1: sourced and well researched, and I had done. You know,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I was a big in the beginning of COVID in
- 16:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty. I was what they called a conspiracy theorist,
- 16:44Speaker 1: and I was like, nobody else thinks this is weird.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Nobody else thinks this guy's out of pocket, and this
- 16:48Speaker 1: all just his kosher. We're all good. Deborah Burk's up there,
- 16:51Speaker 1: what are nine million scarves? Shut up? Like, these people
- 16:54Speaker 1: don't know shit. Now we're at the end of the
- 16:57Speaker 1: of the line for him. Statutal limitations for him to
- 17:00Speaker 1: be indicted on any of this. Shits May eleventh. It's
- 17:03Speaker 1: May fifth. So these assholes who don't do anything in
- 17:06Speaker 1: the Senate other than Mike Lee, they literally have what
- 17:10Speaker 1: is it, I don't know, five days, six days.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Six days.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Yeah, So you think Ran Paul's got a shot at this,
- 17:15Speaker 4: Like is this something he's been talking about?
- 17:17Speaker 1: I mean, Ram Paul has definitely been sort of on
- 17:19Speaker 1: the war path and making people aware. But I think
- 17:22Speaker 1: at the end of the day, somebody's got to carry
- 17:24Speaker 1: it to the finish line. And by the looks of it, right,
- 17:27Speaker 1: like you know, like John Thune yesterday, you know, I mean,
- 17:29Speaker 1: the biggest piece of shit is out there saying I
- 17:31Speaker 1: don't have any time to work on these things, and
- 17:33Speaker 1: like he's like, you know, out there taking pictures at
- 17:35Speaker 1: like a ballgame.
- 17:36Speaker 4: I'm like, in his defense, anyone with hair as good
- 17:40Speaker 4: as his doesn't have any time that is like a
- 17:41Speaker 4: full time job. He might not be a great he
- 17:45Speaker 4: might not be a great senator, but he is a
- 17:47Speaker 4: pretty man.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, man, I am looking forward to
- 17:50Speaker 1: his primary. It is going him and Cornyn and Murkowski.
- 17:55Speaker 1: You know what said I was thinking about when we
- 17:58Speaker 1: played the clip of Susan Collin the other day the
- 18:01Speaker 1: other day, like the first show I guess we did,
- 18:03Speaker 1: and she talked about how I'm running for office and
- 18:07Speaker 1: I only want to be in for like two terms,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I believe, and you know, term limits. I'm gonna gonna
- 18:14Speaker 1: do this just a couple of years that that's okay,
- 18:17Speaker 1: uh huh. Forty fricking years later, now you're going up
- 18:21Speaker 1: against Graham Platner. He's nuts, And I'm like, lady, could
- 18:26Speaker 1: you please vote for the Save Act and be you
- 18:28Speaker 1: on your marry way.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Ye, like Susan Collins, you know, up for reelection ironically,
- 18:32Speaker 4: given the length of her public career, as you said,
- 18:35Speaker 4: not the first time she's fought a Nazi.
- 18:37Speaker 3: So you're a mess, all right, So she's the original,
- 18:43Speaker 3: like you know that, we get Rosie the Riveter, We
- 18:46Speaker 3: got it.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Oh my god, right she Honestly, it's funny. I was
- 18:49Speaker 1: arguing with someone about this yesterday, like, no, you have
- 18:51Speaker 1: to stand behind Collins. I'm like, no, we don't, No,
- 18:54Speaker 1: we don't. She's a terrible senator. She is a terrible senator.
- 18:58Speaker 1: And she has not used her seat her power to
- 19:01Speaker 1: help the American people. She has used her seat in
- 19:03Speaker 1: her power to help Susan. And for what, you're in
- 19:07Speaker 1: a liberal, lunatic state. If you want to be a
- 19:11Speaker 1: conservative senator and you feel like I really need to
- 19:13Speaker 1: do it. My constituents want, but I don't really agree
- 19:15Speaker 1: with them. Lady, there's forty nine other states. Go find one.
- 19:19Speaker 1: What are you doing? I you know, anyways, I know
- 19:22Speaker 1: I'm wanna tear ipon.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Well, but by the way, and I know, can we
- 19:25Speaker 4: talk about that though, like yes, that no, just not
- 19:28Speaker 4: the whole, Like, but the whole it seems like a
- 19:29Speaker 4: ridiculous thing.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Go find in the state.
- 19:31Speaker 4: The problem is Scott Brown did like, how are we
- 19:33Speaker 4: living in a world where there's people running for.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Senate in a different state? Like, how is that? Okay,
- 19:42Speaker 3: I'm with it. I am saying, it's a big country, guys.
- 19:45Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 19:45Speaker 4: There's a lot of people in this country. We got
- 19:47Speaker 4: to be able to find somebody else.
- 19:48Speaker 1: This is this is the thing that mystifies me. Right
- 19:51Speaker 1: when AOC was running for Congress, the first time I
- 19:55Speaker 1: heard her speak, I'm like, oh, no, no, no, no, no,
- 19:58Speaker 1: that's embarrassing. That's a garrising for women, for latinas for
- 20:02Speaker 1: New York, Like, could you just we need to shut that? Right?
- 20:07Speaker 1: Then she won and I'm like, I don't what Now,
- 20:12Speaker 1: Clearly I'm now aware of the amount of election integrity
- 20:15Speaker 1: issues we have and the fraud and how rampant it is.
- 20:17Speaker 1: So when you vote, especially in New York, your vote
- 20:20Speaker 1: does not count. We all know that, now, Okay, Fine,
- 20:22Speaker 1: So now I know how she got in office. Right,
- 20:24Speaker 1: She's making drinks one night, the next night she's at
- 20:26Speaker 1: the Congress. Right, Fine, this this to me shows the
- 20:31Speaker 1: broken system we have, right because people that's why they
- 20:34Speaker 1: don't want to say that, because they know they can't win.
- 20:37Speaker 1: They know it, and they know like with the Jerror
- 20:39Speaker 1: manandering conversation that's happening in Virginia and Texas and Scotus saying, oh,
- 20:44Speaker 1: you know, that's super racist to like have things defined
- 20:47Speaker 1: by race. Like I think we fought against that for
- 20:49Speaker 1: like a super long time. So we're not gonna keep
- 20:52Speaker 1: doing that. I don't know why we ever, did.
- 20:53Speaker 3: You know actually said specific in the constitution not to
- 20:56Speaker 3: do it? But yeah, yeah, pretty sure.
- 20:58Speaker 1: And then I wonder if I should go to this next.
- 21:01Speaker 1: So let's let's move around for a second. Let's go
- 21:03Speaker 1: to John Carey. Okay, So John Kerrey is sitting there
- 21:07Speaker 1: with all these World Economic Forum assholes talking about how
- 21:11Speaker 1: important they are and how you know, we as a
- 21:14Speaker 1: people need them to have a concise.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Thlot like you're a broadcast professional. But I just want
- 21:20Speaker 4: to be very clear for it. We just transition from
- 21:23Speaker 4: a conversation about majority minority districts in Louisiana to the
- 21:26Speaker 4: complete demographic office of that which is waspy asked John Carey.
- 21:30Speaker 3: So I'm here for it. I just want to point out, like,
- 21:33Speaker 3: that's what makes you.
- 21:34Speaker 1: It's a pivot bro, that's a pivot pod. Here is
- 21:37Speaker 1: John Kerry in all his glory.
- 21:40Speaker 5: And I think the dislike of and anguish over social
- 21:46Speaker 5: media is just growing and growing and growing u and
- 21:50Speaker 5: as part of our problem, particularly in democracies, in terms
- 21:54Speaker 5: of building consensus around any issue, it's really hard to
- 21:58Speaker 5: govern today. You can't you know, you know, there's no
- 22:02Speaker 5: the referees we used to have to determine what's the
- 22:05Speaker 5: fact and what is in the fact that kind of
- 22:07Speaker 5: you know, been eviscerated to a certain degree, and people
- 22:11Speaker 5: go and that people self select where they go for
- 22:15Speaker 5: their news or for their information, and then you just
- 22:18Speaker 5: get into a vicious cycle. So it's really really hard,
- 22:21Speaker 5: much harder to build consensus today than at any time
- 22:24Speaker 5: in the forty five fifty years I've been involved in this.
- 22:27Speaker 5: And you know, there's a lot of discussion now about
- 22:31Speaker 5: how you curb those entities in order to guarantee that
- 22:36Speaker 5: you're going to have, you know, some accountability on facts,
- 22:39Speaker 5: et cetera. But look, if people go to only one
- 22:43Speaker 5: source and the source they go to is sick, and
- 22:47Speaker 5: you know, as an agenda, and they're putting out disinformation.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Our First Amendment stands as a major block to the
- 22:55Speaker 5: ability to be able to just you know, hammer it
- 22:58Speaker 5: out of existence.
- 22:58Speaker 1: So that's an interesting thought, isn't it.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Eric.
- 23:03Speaker 4: He literally he literally looks like the villain at the
- 23:07Speaker 4: end of a Scooby Doo episode, right, even like his
- 23:09Speaker 4: face looks like one of those prolonged masks, and they
- 23:11Speaker 4: just pull it off, and he's like, and I would
- 23:13Speaker 4: have gotten away with it too.
- 23:14Speaker 3: It wasn't of that pesky First Amendment.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Damn it, well, plad, I mean it is. This is
- 23:20Speaker 1: somebody saying the quiet part out loud for real. This
- 23:24Speaker 1: is somebody saying to you the whole free will, freedom
- 23:28Speaker 1: of speech thing, we are not about it. We want
- 23:31Speaker 1: to kill it, and with your help we can do that.
- 23:34Speaker 1: So let's do it together and then we'll control you
- 23:37Speaker 1: and it'll you guys are gonna be so happy. I'm like,
- 23:40Speaker 1: uh yeah, bro.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Well, and by the way, we've seen this movie before
- 23:44Speaker 4: because it's exactly what they try to do during COVID, right,
- 23:46Speaker 4: I mean, literally, all these information sources that you had
- 23:49Speaker 4: to like go hide in your basement and look around
- 23:51Speaker 4: before you could open up on your phone, like if
- 23:53Speaker 4: they was up to them, you would not have had
- 23:55Speaker 4: access to them and so and we saw how that
- 23:57Speaker 4: worked out unfortunately.
- 23:58Speaker 1: But yeah, I remember, and I'm not saying that I'm
- 24:00Speaker 1: for against this documentary full disclosure. I don't know the
- 24:03Speaker 1: maker or nothing, but I remember when plandemic came out.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Do you remember that? And you couldn't get it, nobody
- 24:11Speaker 1: would put it up, and people were sending it to
- 24:14Speaker 1: me on something called bit shoot. Do you remember bit shoot?
- 24:18Speaker 1: It's where people used to steal music. It's like so obscure,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and I was like, why are you sending me this
- 24:24Speaker 1: file on that I haven't used this, I don't even
- 24:26Speaker 1: know where is this alive?
- 24:29Speaker 4: And unfortunately that link actually is something that my accountability
- 24:32Speaker 4: software on my phone won't let me open.
- 24:33Speaker 3: So I don't know what you're talking about.
- 24:36Speaker 1: But it's so crazy, Like I was like, whether I
- 24:39Speaker 1: agree or disagree with what's being shown here, the bottom
- 24:42Speaker 1: line is it's up to me to be informed and
- 24:45Speaker 1: watch both sides, Like I'm one of those people. I
- 24:47Speaker 1: read the Washington Times, I read the Washington Post, I
- 24:50Speaker 1: read the New York Times, I read the New York Post.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Right you look at the California Post that opened up
- 24:55Speaker 1: right in the last two months, and people are out
- 24:58Speaker 1: there protesting because they had a reporter out there, because
- 25:02Speaker 1: Joel Pollock's out there and he's running the California Post.
- 25:05Speaker 1: And I guess one of the reporters was out covering
- 25:08Speaker 1: something that Newsome or Bass was doing, or maybe they
- 25:10Speaker 1: were there for Spencer Proud And I really sure. And
- 25:13Speaker 1: these protesters, you guys are fascist, And I'm like, I'm sorry,
- 25:17Speaker 1: do we just need to bring giant mirrors everywhere? You
- 25:20Speaker 1: are what you preach, you are projecting, you have an issue.
- 25:23Speaker 1: It's crazy, right Anyways, John Kerry is a pos you know,
- 25:28Speaker 1: he's living. It's like when they when he got caught
- 25:30Speaker 1: on the private plane going to the World Economic Forum
- 25:33Speaker 1: and they said, well, don't you think your carbon footprints
- 25:36Speaker 1: kind of b And He's like, that's different. I need
- 25:39Speaker 1: to be there in a hurry.
- 25:41Speaker 4: You know, like in private he's got to like have
- 25:43Speaker 4: at least a little bit of self awareness. He kind
- 25:45Speaker 4: of just like smirks and Glass like, no, it's a
- 25:47Speaker 4: pretty good gig, guys, Like we got this whole thing
- 25:49Speaker 4: we got going on.
- 25:50Speaker 3: It's pretty great.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Me, you know, Me and missus Hines. We're good. We
- 25:54Speaker 1: like ketch up, we got private planes like things are good.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Thanks for asking. It's all good. Yeah, so back to
- 25:58Speaker 1: free will anyways. Okay, So Blake Moore is a congressman
- 26:03Speaker 1: from Utah. Are you familiar with him.
- 26:05Speaker 4: I'm only familiar with him in terms of like his
- 26:08Speaker 4: profound body of legislative a couple.
- 26:10Speaker 3: No, I'm actually not familiar with him at all.
- 26:13Speaker 1: So this guy is one of those Republicans in name only,
- 26:17Speaker 1: and he has done more to help Democrats than any
- 26:20Speaker 1: other Democrat out in Utah. He's a representative from out there.
- 26:23Speaker 1: He was recently in session and was just it was scintillating.
- 26:28Speaker 1: And if you're listening to this, I think you can
- 26:32Speaker 1: tell by the music what it is that Blake Moore
- 26:34Speaker 1: is doing on your tax dollars.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Mister Moore.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Mister Moore is sleeping and peacefully and.
- 26:52Speaker 3: They wake him up. That's the best. That's the best
- 26:55Speaker 3: we got.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's in a massive doing well, complete must just.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Right.
- 27:16Speaker 1: So this is the type of stuff that is going on.
- 27:19Speaker 1: And then you know it's DeBie Dingle. Should we let
- 27:21Speaker 1: DeBie Dingle play?
- 27:22Speaker 3: Well? No, I just think the images of it is
- 27:24Speaker 3: so great, like.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Head back, you know, just no, absolutely no, I don't.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I don't know what the word is that care. They
- 27:37Speaker 1: just don't give a ship.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Well yeah, well so let me let me kind of
- 27:41Speaker 3: go the other way on this.
- 27:42Speaker 4: I think we have two options, and I'll let you
- 27:43Speaker 4: decide which one you think is more viable.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Okay, number one.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Number one, it's possible that a pandemic of narcolepsy is
- 27:49Speaker 4: sweeping through the halls of Washington, c And you know,
- 27:52Speaker 4: members of Congress are immune from it, or like not
- 27:55Speaker 4: immune from it, and they're kind of caught up in
- 27:56Speaker 4: or maybe since there's this big push to ban inside
- 28:01Speaker 4: of trading by members of Congress, they literally have no
- 28:03Speaker 4: more incentive to pay attention or awake, so they can't
- 28:08Speaker 4: stay away, can't pay attention like bro you know, if
- 28:10Speaker 4: I can't be like texting my broker on the side,
- 28:13Speaker 4: then what do I care?
- 28:14Speaker 1: It is so ridiculous to see and to watch people
- 28:18Speaker 1: that are legitimately members of Congress like they're going to
- 28:23Speaker 1: vote on laws that affect you, well, they want and
- 28:26Speaker 1: your kids and your family, and they're asleep. Can you
- 28:29Speaker 1: imagine if you or I just went to sleep, well,
- 28:33Speaker 1: actively at our job. It's not even an I would
- 28:36Speaker 1: get in so much trouble because it's not a thing.
- 28:39Speaker 4: It would actually make me feel better if we knew
- 28:41Speaker 4: that these people were sleeping on the regulations, because it
- 28:43Speaker 4: would at least explain how things happen, because it seems
- 28:46Speaker 4: to me more troubling and more challenging to accept the
- 28:49Speaker 4: idea that's smart people, the people that we all kind
- 28:52Speaker 4: of elect collectively to send to Washington c were coherent
- 28:57Speaker 4: and lucid and aware of the decisions that also need
- 29:01Speaker 4: to get made every day more scary.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, so you were sleep Okay, So Blake Moore,
- 29:06Speaker 1: he sucks full circle. So now we have a situation
- 29:10Speaker 1: where we've heard a lot over the last I would
- 29:13Speaker 1: say probably year of all these various stores that are
- 29:17Speaker 1: closing in these high crime areas, whether it's Targets, Walgreens,
- 29:23Speaker 1: CBS's right that we've all been to the stores where like,
- 29:26Speaker 1: you need a toothbrush, you need razors, you need deodre,
- 29:29Speaker 1: it's all locked. You have to get somebody. You're like,
- 29:31Speaker 1: why is people are really stealing everything? So this is
- 29:35Speaker 1: a clip of a local representative. I don't know if
- 29:39Speaker 1: he's a community leader or what his role is yelling
- 29:42Speaker 1: and screaming about the fact that they're closing a local Walgreens.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Did you have any setup for us, sir.
- 29:49Speaker 4: No, But I think, unfortunately you'd like to think that
- 29:51Speaker 4: this is a unique But as we discussed actually on
- 29:54Speaker 4: a more recent episode of The Drill Down, like this
- 29:56Speaker 4: is a growing trend. There's a lot of people that
- 29:59Speaker 4: think crime is okay as long as you abide in
- 30:01Speaker 4: a certain category.
- 30:03Speaker 1: And it has to be below. I think it's like
- 30:05Speaker 1: below if you steal below one thousand dollars, they're not
- 30:07Speaker 1: even allowed to prosecute and you just have to take
- 30:10Speaker 1: it as a loss. I'm like, what, I remember this
- 30:14Speaker 1: one caveat I remember as a kid. Do you remember
- 30:16Speaker 1: like being at the candy out and you like, touch
- 30:18Speaker 1: the candy, don't you take any candy? Don't you touch
- 30:20Speaker 1: And you're like, oh now, it's like going to take
- 30:23Speaker 1: it all, take the whole box. It's fine. Nobody cares
- 30:24Speaker 1: what this is. This is a real clip of someone
- 30:28Speaker 1: who thinks he's in the right.
- 30:30Speaker 2: All Green should be charged with first degree corporate abandonment.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It should be a crime.
- 30:36Speaker 1: The way they're.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Treating our elders.
- 30:38Speaker 1: It should be a crime the way they're treating our families.
- 30:43Speaker 3: They show the shells are empty. Uh yeah, it's you know.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yeah, of course that's the problem.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Sure, I'm listen. It's it's no different. Really think about it.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Like I was actually just doing some research today on
- 30:57Speaker 4: the number of companies that have left California because of
- 31:00Speaker 4: the tax policies. It's no different, right, Like the companies like, Okay, well,
- 31:04Speaker 4: if you're gonna treat us this way, if you're gonna
- 31:07Speaker 4: cost us this much because of whatever policies you're gonna have,
- 31:11Speaker 4: then we're gonna stop, stop providing you with the thing,
- 31:13Speaker 4: we're gonna leave. And companies like Walgreates I think, are
- 31:16Speaker 4: basically kind of doing the same thing. Like, hey, if
- 31:19Speaker 4: we're going to kind of let this crime go on,
- 31:20Speaker 4: then what incentive do we have to put stuff back
- 31:23Speaker 4: on the shelves.
- 31:24Speaker 1: And to be fair, you know, this isn't just one area, right,
- 31:28Speaker 1: this is a national issue. If we look at Katie Wilson,
- 31:31Speaker 1: the mayor out in Seattle, right, the forty three year
- 31:34Speaker 1: old I still live on my parents' dime, you know,
- 31:37Speaker 1: who are both elitist New York professors and we're giving
- 31:40Speaker 1: her twenty two hundred dollars a month a stipend for
- 31:44Speaker 1: her to live while she campaigned, right because she was
- 31:47Speaker 1: working so hard. So I'm like, this moron is running
- 31:51Speaker 1: people out of her city. And she's like yeah, you know,
- 31:55Speaker 1: it's like no, I'm a big dal risk, Like I'm
- 31:56Speaker 1: put the tax, that's fine. I'm sorry the rich. Can
- 32:01Speaker 1: you make a sentence? What is happening? You have never worked,
- 32:05Speaker 1: You don't know anything about business. There's nothing more frustrating
- 32:08Speaker 1: to me than these people in elected office. They've never
- 32:10Speaker 1: run a company.
- 32:12Speaker 4: And the problem is there's stuff that's already there, like Starbucks,
- 32:15Speaker 4: you know, is leaving, but like they're like you kind
- 32:17Speaker 4: of it's kind of the old and Richard's line about
- 32:19Speaker 4: George W.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Bush, like born on third base and you thought he
- 32:21Speaker 3: hit a triple.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Like those cities didn't get to become like the places
- 32:25Speaker 4: where you can actually do those things, buy those policies.
- 32:28Speaker 4: That's the irony, right, Like they built up because they
- 32:32Speaker 4: were pro free market, pro entrepreneur, pro enterprise, and then
- 32:35Speaker 4: you then want it like then this value that success
- 32:38Speaker 4: and wealth is bad and must be punished. Well, then
- 32:41Speaker 4: like these people kind of ascend this way, but that's
- 32:43Speaker 4: you're not going to get more of that by doing this,
- 32:46Speaker 4: and it's a unfortunate deal for Seattle. Again, look at
- 32:50Speaker 4: what's happening in la I think it would be nice.
- 32:52Speaker 4: It's it's encouraging because it shows you it can swing
- 32:54Speaker 4: back the other way and to.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Just to close the loop on this. So this guy
- 32:58Speaker 1: is saying, this is core abandonment, right, So the same
- 33:02Speaker 1: people that are out there screaming we hate corporations, we
- 33:06Speaker 1: hate capitalism, we hate all of it. Now you're being
- 33:10Speaker 1: abandoned by the people you hate. Why aren't you having
- 33:12Speaker 1: a party. Why don't you grow from within your community?
- 33:15Speaker 1: Maybe you could ask your neighbor next door, Hey, my friend,
- 33:18Speaker 1: maybe you could stop stealing from Walgreens because you know,
- 33:20Speaker 1: my grandma gets her medicine from there. I don't know,
- 33:23Speaker 1: that's a conversation potentially to have. It's just own it
- 33:26Speaker 1: a little.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Bit, brob.
- 33:27Speaker 4: At least take it to the CBS down the streets,
- 33:29Speaker 4: their turn, now, you know.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Okay, So this is this is kind of an interesting situation.
- 33:35Speaker 1: We have a guy here, Brandon Tatum, who has a
- 33:38Speaker 1: huge following, and there was a young man he's in
- 33:41Speaker 1: high school. He's graduating this year here in Philadelphia is
- 33:46Speaker 1: where he's doing his video, and he's asking his fellow
- 33:49Speaker 1: classmates to read a sentence off of a three by
- 33:53Speaker 1: five index card. Now, I just want to say the
- 33:56Speaker 1: language here's a little spicy, so full disclosure. But he
- 34:01Speaker 1: literally is now being told he cannot walk for graduation
- 34:06Speaker 1: because they're man at him for exposing the failures of
- 34:10Speaker 1: their teaching for four years out of high school because
- 34:12Speaker 1: they can't read anything.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Sir, mister tudor, listen, I think let's let's let the
- 34:19Speaker 4: fruits of the public school system bear themselves out right,
- 34:23Speaker 4: Like I think we're about to hear from the from
- 34:25Speaker 4: the city, if this is the Philadelphia area, from a
- 34:27Speaker 4: city where Mitt Romney received zero votes zero in eighty
- 34:31Speaker 4: five precincts or whatever it was back in twenty twelve,
- 34:34Speaker 4: comes an educational policy and a larger governance structure that
- 34:39Speaker 4: has yielded this as a result reading what the fuck.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Did that say?
- 34:46Speaker 1: Well, my riodness, my realness, this.
- 34:52Speaker 7: Well, colonel asked acquired to accommodate the governor's schedule. Does
- 34:56Speaker 7: I mean he's asking admire to commodate to governor's.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Schedule right in your own words.
- 35:03Speaker 7: There's a governor's schedule, and so the colonel is asking
- 35:07Speaker 7: is asking a fire to accommodate to.
- 35:09Speaker 3: It in your own word?
- 35:11Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 35:13Speaker 7: The colonel will act the acchoir to accommodate the governor's gole?
- 35:17Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 35:18Speaker 3: Right?
- 35:18Speaker 1: They act the people to sing for the governor's goggle.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I don't know what this means.
- 35:23Speaker 5: We're calling me.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Asks the quire to accommodate the governor's schedule. What does
- 35:27Speaker 1: that mean? The ax acquired a comment.
- 35:31Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Bro it means he asked them to read a schedule.
- 35:37Speaker 1: I got to like, I mean the colonel asked the
- 35:40Speaker 1: choir to accommodate the governor's schedule, mean to sing what
- 35:45Speaker 1: the government so here? If you're if you were watching that,
- 35:49Speaker 1: If you're not, we'll tell you. On the side, he says,
- 35:52Speaker 1: I actually have another part of this video, but the
- 35:56Speaker 1: superintendent is threatening to expel me. I can't go to
- 35:59Speaker 1: prom or graduation because I put this video out. Why
- 36:04Speaker 1: why are you rewarding this young man?
- 36:06Speaker 4: No, it's you know, on some level, I'm sympathetic because,
- 36:09Speaker 4: as you know, Linda, like but technology is just so
- 36:11Speaker 4: fundamentally changed all of our brains, and it's changed the
- 36:15Speaker 4: way our eyes work and move, you know. And now
- 36:17Speaker 4: it's like the discipline of reading a text. I mean,
- 36:20Speaker 4: that was not an extremely long piece of prose there.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Now, I know.
- 36:25Speaker 4: But I'm telling you, I see more kids like they
- 36:28Speaker 4: look at a piece of paper and they see a
- 36:29Speaker 4: paragraph and they freak out, like they threw up in
- 36:32Speaker 4: their mouth a little bit, because like, I can't read
- 36:34Speaker 4: all that stuff. It's like, even if they could, the
- 36:36Speaker 4: idea of it seems too daunting. It's like it's like
- 36:39Speaker 4: they have to go through a couch to five k
- 36:41Speaker 4: to be able to read a paragraph.
- 36:42Speaker 3: You know. So I understanding, dude, that's how it is.
- 36:46Speaker 4: And because because we are mentally obese in this country,
- 36:49Speaker 4: this you know, young generation, Uh, it's sad. And I
- 36:52Speaker 4: think that's just like more evidence of why and how.
- 36:54Speaker 4: There's a there's a charter school. My children don't go
- 36:57Speaker 4: there because I apparently I don't love them enough. But
- 36:59Speaker 4: I found I heard a charter school that a buddy
- 37:01Speaker 4: mine runs and they don't do any technology. Peap Like
- 37:05Speaker 4: He's like, yeah, my kids won't see a computer till
- 37:07Speaker 4: they're like fourteen.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, probably pretty smart.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I'm not kidding. I literally, you know, we're pretty strict
- 37:12Speaker 1: with our kids as well. And I said, I'm actually literally,
- 37:16Speaker 1: this is my son's last year in public school for
- 37:19Speaker 1: a variety of reasons, and I'm sending him to the
- 37:21Speaker 1: Catholic school. My first question to the principle was what's
- 37:24Speaker 1: the screen time? Yeah, I have no desire for my
- 37:28Speaker 1: son to spend this amount of time. I mean, my
- 37:31Speaker 1: daughter is graduating and they have like the chromebooks that
- 37:34Speaker 1: they give them, which are the biggest, most terrible contraptions.
- 37:38Speaker 4: No, what it is like, No, that's actually just an
- 37:41Speaker 4: excuse for the teachers to be able to like, hey,
- 37:43Speaker 4: you guys can be on your chromebooks and I'm going
- 37:44Speaker 4: to go do something else. And I'm not saying all
- 37:46Speaker 4: the teachers do that, but enough of them do it
- 37:49Speaker 4: to where that's a real thing. You know, the chromebooks
- 37:50Speaker 4: that could be a whole Yeah, chromebooks has not been
- 37:53Speaker 4: as a value ad.
- 37:54Speaker 1: And I will tell you this, if you're not sure
- 37:58Speaker 1: if your child is on task, look at a search history. Right,
- 38:02Speaker 1: That's all you gotta do. Be active in your child's life.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Because I sit with my son every night and look
- 38:08Speaker 1: at his computer. I'm like, Mommy wants to see what
- 38:10Speaker 1: you did today. He's like oh oh. I was like yeah, bro,
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm like. They can get on YouTube, they can see
- 38:15Speaker 1: anything they want, they can play any game they want.
- 38:18Speaker 1: And the teachers up there either mark in their own papers,
- 38:21Speaker 1: they're on Amazon themselves. I don't know what the hell
- 38:23Speaker 1: is going on, but what I do know is I've
- 38:25Speaker 1: had enough, and I think a lot of people have
- 38:27Speaker 1: had enough.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I think.
- 38:29Speaker 4: And that's, by the way, another change that covid ushered in, right, like, hey,
- 38:33Speaker 4: let's give everybody a chromebook. I had some concerns about
- 38:36Speaker 4: it from how much data do companies now have access to.
- 38:39Speaker 4: I don't know how much of that is there, but
- 38:41Speaker 4: I do believe that we should still do a big
- 38:44Speaker 4: old study on the negative impact that all these computers
- 38:48Speaker 4: have had in the classroom.
- 38:49Speaker 3: It's not good.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and the white matter in their brains. Okay, We've
- 38:52Speaker 1: got two more clips because we know we got to
- 38:54Speaker 1: wrap it up. This is a woman wearing a make
- 38:58Speaker 1: America wait for It Again shirt as she waxed the
- 39:03Speaker 1: ever loving shit out of a Trump shape pinata. Have
- 39:08Speaker 1: I left anything out, mister Eggers.
- 39:10Speaker 4: No, that's ever loving, is I think a word that
- 39:13Speaker 4: belongs in that sentence, Yes, ma'am.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Absolutely. So if you're listening, this is what's happening and
- 39:17Speaker 1: people are cheering her ontopp oh yeah, oh yeah. So
- 39:51Speaker 1: here's the best part. This is a woman clearly about
- 39:53Speaker 1: sixty five plus, okay, watches The Golden Girls, probably every night,
- 39:57Speaker 1: big fan of Betty right, Okay, she's where here make
- 40:00Speaker 1: America kind against shirt. She's got help from a fellow
- 40:03Speaker 1: attendee who's in their caffie wrapped around their waist, probably
- 40:07Speaker 1: needs a bigger one. A lot of waste there, and
- 40:09Speaker 1: now that person's going to stomp on the head, because
- 40:12Speaker 1: that is what peaceful protest looks like.
- 40:16Speaker 4: So I will say this, I agree with you about
- 40:19Speaker 4: the Golden Girls. I think she clearly comes with more
- 40:22Speaker 4: Estelle Getty energy than the Betty White.
- 40:25Speaker 3: She's a little feistier.
- 40:26Speaker 4: And I also want to commend both of them for
- 40:28Speaker 4: being apparently women in their sixties and still being quite
- 40:31Speaker 4: physically active. Now, you and I might disagree with the
- 40:34Speaker 4: way they want to channel that particular activity, but they're
- 40:37Speaker 4: you know, they're not sitting on the couching bond bonds,
- 40:39Speaker 4: they are engaged in cardiovascular exercise. And I'll also say this,
- 40:42Speaker 4: and I'm being serious about this because and we talked
- 40:44Speaker 4: about this on a recent episode of The Drill Down,
- 40:46Speaker 4: the podcast that you produced with me and Peter Sweitz,
- 40:48Speaker 4: are a significant and alarming percentage of this country thinks
- 40:52Speaker 4: that political violence is okay and justified. And I will say, like,
- 40:57Speaker 4: I don't actually think that counts as violence. I think
- 40:59Speaker 4: that that count says like, there are a lot of
- 41:02Speaker 4: worse things that we are reminded of quite often that
- 41:04Speaker 4: people want to do so if you need to, you know,
- 41:07Speaker 4: get a cathartic release by going to the equivalent of
- 41:09Speaker 4: a rage room, but you do so at a public square,
- 41:11Speaker 4: then you know, is it how I want to spend
- 41:13Speaker 4: my Thursday afternoon.
- 41:14Speaker 1: No, But and just imagine I always like to play
- 41:18Speaker 1: this game. I'm like, if that pinata was Kamala Harris,
- 41:24Speaker 1: oh for sure, we're Barack Obama. Yeah, we're Hillary, we're Bill.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I definitely think they would play the race card right
- 41:31Speaker 1: with the first two, and then they would play the
- 41:33Speaker 1: dem card with Bill and Hillary.
- 41:36Speaker 3: But no, you're absolutely right. Double standard one hundred percent
- 41:39Speaker 3: all the way around.
- 41:40Speaker 1: The standard, all day long. And the problem is Republicans
- 41:43Speaker 1: are too feckless to fight the fight and say what
- 41:45Speaker 1: it is, which loops back to the very beginning of
- 41:47Speaker 1: the show, which is, don't be afraid to say what
- 41:49Speaker 1: it is. If it is, it is, and your feelings
- 41:52Speaker 1: don't matter because this is real shit.
- 41:54Speaker 4: So oh well, and if you want to say what
- 41:57Speaker 4: it is, try and use the lead vocabulary words like feckless,
- 42:00Speaker 4: as Linda, just so you see, this is a gift.
- 42:03Speaker 1: You have to be able to use the word feckless
- 42:04Speaker 1: and follow it up with asshole because then.
- 42:06Speaker 4: It's relatable and loving. Dude, it's all. It's all the
- 42:09Speaker 4: multi slavic excellence display.
- 42:11Speaker 5: Today.
- 42:11Speaker 1: You're welcome, America. This is the Rogue Recap. You are
- 42:14Speaker 1: watching our fifth episode of Soundbites. He's Eric Eggers and
- 42:17Speaker 1: we are so excited to be with you at Eric
- 42:19Speaker 1: Underscore Eggers and I'm at Linda Mack at Roague Recap
- 42:23Speaker 1: and we'll see you next week.
