- 0:46You're listening to the Sports Shop Show. I'm the Sports Shop Wayne Candy.
- 0:50Good morning to you out there listening land. Memorial Day weekend, a couple
- 0:55of hours from being in the books. Uh, it is Memorial Day.
- 1:00A lot of people will be transitioning back from vacation. A lot of people
- 1:06will be hanging out at parks. Hopefully the rain in the Atlanta area will
- 1:11come and go, but we definitely need it. Uh. If you want
- 1:15to save on the water bill, I want to get that that free watering
- 1:19of the grass and rain water helps the flowers out more than the hose water.
- 1:23Anyway, you put two flowers out there and you'll see the difference,
- 1:27something about the what drops out of the sky and what comes through that pipe
- 1:34creates a different bud on a flower. Yeah, I know, you guys,
- 1:38you know it does. It creates a different you know, kind of
- 1:42like New York New Yorkers say about pizza and some places that might be in
- 1:49Arizona. Uh, sometimes ship the water all the way from New Jersey,
- 1:53New York area, just to use that water in there dough. But it
- 1:57is raining, it is storm and it was filming last night down in Dallas,
- 2:02the Mavericks winning again, pushing the series to three oh over the ten
- 2:08Bird Wolves. A lot of stars and attendance when you went around the arena,
- 2:14a Rod in the building, Queen Latifa in the building, Patrick Mahomes,
- 2:20Travis Kelcey, Jerry Stackhouse, a lot of guys, Miles Garrett h
- 2:24It was a lot of people down in that Dallas area. Well, I
- 2:30had a question, go ahead or whenever this is commands she greg everybody with
- 2:38a rod being at the games and like he's still trying to litigate buying the
- 2:43team. Is it is it awkward to me? It's a little awkward that
- 2:49he's at the games for the of the Timberwolves and he's still in the process
- 2:52of trying to buy the team. Well, the thing I noticed with a
- 2:54Rod is a Rod is a sports fan. He tends to be in every
- 2:59all all events watching sports. I see him at all kinds of heat games,
- 3:05Laker games, places, he wherever he lives. He seems to be
- 3:08a fan of sports. He seems to really want to take on the Minnesota
- 3:14Timberwolves. I think they did give him or he does own the Links,
- 3:20or at least part of the Minnesota Links. But he seems to be what
- 3:24else do I do? Because a lot of times you got to remember,
- 3:29when you start getting that high up, it stops being about did you secure
- 3:32the money, and it starts to be the other owners seeing you as someone
- 3:38that they want to be in business with. So he doesn't. He shows
- 3:45the same fever for the Timberwolves as you'll see a Mark Cuban. Mark Cuban
- 3:49just happens is to own his team right now. A Rod is trying to
- 3:53show you that no, I'm in this not just as somebody that's trying to
- 3:57invest, but as a fan. But I do. I see him at
- 4:00everything college games. It just seems to be a sports enthusiast. It's just
- 4:06at the at the Timberwolves games specifically, they're trying to buy the team,
- 4:12and then there was some issues with getting the money, and then they got
- 4:16the money and then Glenn Taylor pulled the offer off the table. But he's
- 4:20still at the game, so they're still like basically like negotiating or litigating.
- 4:25But would have said what would it have said about him if you pulled the
- 4:30offer and then he was just left. I think it wouldn't have been as
- 4:38I don't know if it would have been a big deal. I think it's
- 4:42a bigger deal that he's like still there, he's still like fighting it.
- 4:46And what does that mean for for for everyone who's in the organization now If
- 4:54he's like still fighting to buy this team and the owner there is like,
- 4:59no, I'm not selling the team. So it's there's there's like a conflict
- 5:02there that I don't know if it's going to affect how much it's going to
- 5:05Well, the owner that owns it might decide to give him a part.
- 5:09Maybe he doesn't want to work with the guys or sell to the guys that
- 5:14a Rod was connected to, but maybe a Vart can convince him to let
- 5:17let him get that part, that percentage of what he owns. You want
- 5:23to bring in a minority owner, Hey, I'm here for you. I'm
- 5:28here for that. It's it's possible, it's but it just seems like it
- 5:33looks like an awkward situation to me, just because of things that I've read
- 5:36before. It seems like a positive as far as the team being sold and
- 5:42not being sold and why, and well, I see the owners at the
- 5:46Hawks, the ex owners at the Hawks, their kids and them still come
- 5:49to the game, sits in, sit in the same front row seats.
- 5:53Yea, the Turners and even the prior to nine owners it was like nine
- 5:59owners, and he went to four. Those four owners that sold the team
- 6:01to Resnor, they still come. They still have their seats down there and
- 6:08to the to the to the game, the the and I don't understand like
- 6:13who owns what percentage, But it almost sounds like there's some sort of hostile
- 6:17takeover brewing in the way that I'm understanding it. The way you described it,
- 6:23I want to buy your team. There was an offer, we have
- 6:25the money. You said no, That's in most business negotiations. That's the
- 6:30end of it. And you're saying that he's still aggressively trying to buy this
- 6:34team, like he's going to force someone's hand. And that's what I don't
- 6:40understand how that well, because I'm saying, if the four of us it's
- 6:45like a group, we're trying to buy a team through all the powers that
- 6:49be, I find out, really he just didn't want to do business with
- 6:53you two, Right, it's just you two that really he ain't want to
- 6:58do business with, right, No saying that he shut down so me and
- 7:01bad producer. He's he may want to still do some business with him.
- 7:05So I don't feel like it was me yet, so I'm gonna stay around
- 7:10right, right. So so that's that I understand it from that point of
- 7:14view. And then a rod is a brand himself and then what other attached
- 7:17even though regardless of whatever he's known, he's a he's a Hall of Famer,
- 7:23I mean, he's he's as Alex Rodriguez and as sports just related to
- 7:28he's at all the games. I mean, I've seen him at Super Bowls,
- 7:30I've seen him at and I guess what I'm saying is it's not about
- 7:35the Alex Rodriguez wanting to buy the team part. It's the it seems like
- 7:41there is a power greater than ownership in the NBA. Like Donald Sterling was
- 7:46forced to sell his team. He's saying that this owner has said, no
- 7:50the temperature, you have to get a certain percentage of the other owner of
- 7:57vote right and see that that That's what I'm saying. So it's the it's
- 8:00not just selling the team, it's also collective of a certain percentage of us
- 8:07agreeing that you can sell the team to that person. Okay, y see,
- 8:11and they may feel it. So it's an individual buy, but it's
- 8:15also is a collective. Uh, it's an individual sale, but it's also
- 8:18a collective because remember you're leaving and we have to work with him, right,
- 8:24So it's both ours, but you keep it at your house something like
- 8:26that. Right. But watching the game last night, which the Mavericks one
- 8:33now pushing the series to three oh one, sixteen one o seven, Luca
- 8:39and Kyrie Irvin going to work. The guys inside Gafford are just making play,
- 8:46hustle, plays the go along with this group. And really, if
- 8:50you want to sum this series up, it's that the timberwill ate the whole.
- 9:00Denver Omlei. That's all it is. They did something that settled their
- 9:11soul and made them see and feel a sense of accomplishment, but the race
- 9:20wasn't over. It's kind of how we spoke about the Lakers winning the nd
- 9:26season tournament. As an athlete, you never want to feel like you have
- 9:33a ride the Timberwolves in that last round, beating the three time MVP.
- 9:41Beating the defending champs was a hurdle that kind of made them feel like they
- 9:50won the NBA Championship. And that's where you kind of see the energy they
- 10:00thought they've arrived. And it happens all the time, is can you get
- 10:05up? Can you go play a big game and then get up and not
- 10:11take how many times do you see Alabama? They go play Georgia, but
- 10:18then next week on the schedule they have East Tennessee State and then it takes
- 10:24them to the fourth quarter to start winning the game because I just took on
- 10:30Goliath. Now you're out here with some god I don't even know right his
- 10:37superpowers making flowers grow, and that's all I see you. The Dallas Mavericks
- 10:45took the baton beating OKC and they still running Minnesota took the baton beating Denver
- 10:52and stop, now, man, did you see that? Did you see
- 10:56us just beat that instead of the four underd there? But if that because
- 11:05I really never believed that I could be here, I really never believed that
- 11:09I could get here. So I got past the spot that I thought was
- 11:13my height and and was like, oh, I don't know what to do
- 11:18now, Like I don't have a plan past getting here. My dream was
- 11:22to just that's when people talk about the experience, when they talk about players,
- 11:26to be able to get you to just see it as another victory,
- 11:31right, just see it as a piece of the pie and not the whole
- 11:33pie. And these young teams that excuse me, I said, Dallas really
- 11:39actually does have that. If you look at their rocks, they kind of
- 11:41as far as where they need it, like, uh, they finally beat
- 11:46the Clippers, the Clippers that beating them a couple of times in the playoffs,
- 11:50so they finally got past them. So the rest of it is a
- 11:52little bit easier, right, They play knowing that there's still more to play
- 11:58for, right man, All Anthony Towns they seem very beat their chest and
- 12:05everybody wanted to crown them. Everything by beating Denver. But that wasn't the
- 12:11championship. That was just the second round. Now you're down, fighting for
- 12:15your life. Down three to zero to Dallas and Game four in this series
- 12:20Wednesday. Uh, and we'll be back with more to Sports Jock Show right

- 16:06I'm just what shock. Wayne Kendy, good morning to you. Come on
- 16:08you, Greg, Big Kenny Bad is all in the studio. Happy Memorial
- 16:12Day today, rainy here right now in the Atlanta area. Prayers to anyone
- 16:19affected by the tornadoes. Last count as I was reading the article, fifteen
- 16:25people have passed away in the Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky area with
- 16:33the tornadoes that have been coming through over the last couple of days. Here
- 16:37looking out the window, it's dark, rainy here in Atlanta, but storms
- 16:45just really kind of came into the area. I'm quite sure a lot of
- 16:49flights will be delayed with these tornadoes in the rain, just in this area
- 16:55actually, with Atlanta being typically number one or number two airport as far as
- 17:00being busy in the world. So safe travels and our condolences to anyone affected
- 17:08by those Tournato's a tornado that's ripping through the NBA seems to be hitting the
- 17:15TNT show. Now. I'm not a big TNT show watcher. The show
- 17:22has been on forever inside the NBA with ch Als Barkley, Kenny Smith,
- 17:29she Kille O'Neill. Over the last couple of years, they have various NBA
- 17:33and w NBA players that come in and sit in. Last night they had
- 17:37Draymond Green part of the staff. But it seems to be something that the
- 17:45guys here on the panel are keeping an eye on. And with some of
- 17:51these streaming services buying and selling and moving shows around TNT, this inside the
- 18:00NBA is in danger of not being with this company and command you Greg and
- 18:06bad producer you spoke about, or Big Kenny maybe having where Charles Barkley and
- 18:14his production company takes over inside the NBA. Is that correct? Yeah,
- 18:22Charles Barkley has his own production company and he is open to rebooting it if
- 18:32T and T doesn't indeed lose the rights to the NBA broadcasts. So Inside
- 18:38the NBA is a self contained show on T and T. So I mean
- 18:47because for him to take the show and reboot it, he would have to
- 18:49have the rights to the show like that, like the name and the content
- 18:55and all of that. So I always thought that that was a rig no
- 19:00programming from T and T inside the NBA like they came up with that they
- 19:04I think Turner Broadcasting it did originally start from Turner T and T, which
- 19:11is all part of Turner Network Broadcasting, so it probably has its own set
- 19:15of producers, set of producers and different things. So if the network doesn't
- 19:19pick them up, they can just as a show all go somewhere else and
- 19:22everybody's you know, they won several Emmys, so congratulations and on that throughout
- 19:27the years, but sometimes go out on top. Seinfeld went on out on
- 19:33top a couple other shows. I can't think you win the Emmys. I
- 19:36mean, why do you think if you think you reboot. I mean I've
- 19:40seen things try to reboot in the past and it just turned into like,
- 19:44well, I think in the Seinfeld situation, they made the decision that I've
- 19:51done some of my best work. I'm ready to go. But I'm just
- 19:52I'm talking about there's a lot more of just Seinfeld was just one of the
- 19:56ones. But there's other shows that went out on top with Emmy Award winnings.
- 20:00But I'm saying, when you get the plug pulled on your show,
- 20:03you still may have some of your best work yet as you feel in you,
- 20:08so I can see wanting to keep doing that. Like It's not like,
- 20:12man, we've gotten to the point where Phonzie's jumping a shark on water
- 20:18skis you know what I mean, we haven't they They decided the network that
- 20:25we're going to be. So a lot of times the characters can grow to
- 20:29where they cost too much and the producer, you're sitting there, you take
- 20:33a sign fail. When I started, only had to pay Jerry, and
- 20:37then I end up having to pay all four characters, right, a million
- 20:44dollars an episode, and now I can't afford the show so and the characters
- 20:49are so beloved, I can't go kill them off because the show is basically
- 20:56it's called a sign fail show, but it's everybody's show that's on it.
- 21:00So typically that's what it seems like as long as the show is kind of
- 21:04and that's why you see some shows consistently they keep maybe like two characters,
- 21:08three characters, but they okay with right running some storylines where you just are
- 21:15part time or we just you know, cut you out completely with the TNT
- 21:19show reboots. A lot of times with sports become age, so you know,
- 21:26Charles Barkley is sixty one, sixty two, Kenny Smith is sitting there
- 21:30somewhere around sixty even even Shaquille O'Neill is about fifty one fifty two, kids
- 21:38are getting older, going to college, got a lot of business things.
- 21:44So you start rebooting because of time those guys, you know, they don't
- 21:51want to be consistently there anymore. Do you think the NBA fan is changing?
- 21:56Like I know you. We spoke about it changing in the NFL commentary
- 22:02and how that person is able to see things from a first person point of
- 22:07view, but from a more recent it's not like back in the golden age
- 22:11of football and Barkley's been I mean, the youngest one is Shaquille and he's
- 22:15been retired how long now? Good dub at least. So I'm saying,
- 22:26do you think that there they hear about the greatness? Like when the beef
- 22:30was going on, he was he was recounting his greatness on social media and
- 22:37a lot of people had to go research that they wanted to go see those
- 22:41videos because they don't remember him that way. So do you think a reboot
- 22:45partly could be almost let's step down while we still have our that that view
- 22:53that fans have of us is relevant and capable, and we'll just switch it
- 22:59up in and take it in a different direction, and based on whatever they
- 23:02send the show, whoever buys the show, it could change it. As
- 23:04we said, the producers might want to put a little more clamp on where
- 23:08they go. Yeah, let's start having them work in ways that that's not
- 23:12how they want. And you're talking about at that age those guys, okay,
- 23:18just going home before they start doing song and dances. They don't know
- 23:21because Charles said, though, you know, if you stop, if I
- 23:23can't say what I want to and it won't be fine anymore, I will
- 23:26go home. We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right after this,
- 23:48don't go away. More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dandy is coming
- 23:52up next. Never completely ready to adopt a team for a late writing English

- 27:11call them the Power five have agreed to allow schools directly to be able to
- 27:19play players for the first time in its one hundred plus years of college sports.
- 27:27So basically you can get you a job now at Power five school as
- 27:34an athelite. I wonder if they give four O one K we soon will
- 27:41find insurance. But the n CUABA and trying to figure out how to run
- 27:49as I have been saying for a while, basically just minor league sports.
- 27:53So you need to remove the sport from the school title, let it run
- 28:00as an outside entity under your brand, and just be done with it.
- 28:07Cut out the education part, stop with that and just move to that.
- 28:18Auburn has a sports company, the Auburn football club has a basketball company.
- 28:26Auburn has a baseball company, and that you play under there and do it
- 28:33like that. Let's stop the student athlete. Let's just call it what it
- 28:37is. It's basically professional sports. That's what it's called. When you get
- 28:47paid professional sports. It's only amateur athletics when you don't. That's the difference
- 28:57between the pro. So anyhow, you have justified to make so college football
- 29:03players now are pro players just in the minor leagues. Drop the school.
- 29:10Nobody needs to go to class. Somebody online all that. None of that
- 29:12needs to ever be reported on Figure out a check. Now, remember right
- 29:18now they're going to allow up schools up to roughly twenty million per year to
- 29:25divvy out towards athletes. Now, that would encompass all athletes, the bank,
- 29:30dolls, soccer, the golf. Don't read the paragraph and think they're
- 29:36just talking about football. That twenty million now, how and when, I'm
- 29:40quite sure we'll hear some more stories because somebody on the gymnastics team heard that
- 29:45somebody on the baseball teammate X, Y and Z. And so now you're
- 29:52just running a business, command you, Greg. It's a they got a
- 29:57salary cap. Yeah, that's a do I get written union? We union
- 30:04break all those kind of things we need to break. Well, we already
- 30:08got the facilities and stuff to stop trying to run it as though we don't
- 30:11need to go to class well, and I'm saying I think a lot of
- 30:15times when you go that direction, not thinking it all the way through.
- 30:21Certain things in the United States, because it's classified as a business, have
- 30:26certain rules that have to apply. You can't work so many hours without two
- 30:30fifteen minute breaks and a minimum thirty minute lunch break type of thing. And
- 30:36so that's what you did. That's what the union and the union union a
- 30:38players association will be able to go out and make a CBA and all of
- 30:44this be And so how does this affect NIL? That's that's one part of
- 30:48my question. I was like, how does this affect the NIL well,
- 30:51and to tag you onto what he said, NIL just becomes the same as
- 30:55pro sports, I just come give you it's just okay, NIL is really
- 31:00just a commercial, just like a professional sports athlete gets a commercial. Okay,
- 31:03that's all that. Okay. I had the same question Kenny, ask
- 31:06you just called it N I L because it was under the heading of college
- 31:11athletes. But the licensing work. If you're paying me as an employee,
- 31:15I'm just I just got a TV contract. So did coach save and see
- 31:18all this coming. That's why sure, because because you're gonna lose all.
- 31:23Like you said, if they want to get a union, it's gonna be
- 31:26like, well, we can only practice so many times a day. We're
- 31:29gonna we can do a lot of college coaches, Dabbo Sweeney, anyone that's
- 31:33spoken out that have been looking in the mirror, they are college coaches.
- 31:41They see what I'm I'm I'm really verbatim explaining that they're not gonna write it
- 31:45up. Maybe in ten years it will be written the way I'm speaking it.
- 31:49But they basically have just created minor league sports. So what would I
- 31:55need to go to class for. Yeah, I don't think the student athlete
- 31:59parts should even and could even be in forced. Man, this LEFL So
- 32:02someone like a coach Saban, if he wanted to take this route in his
- 32:07mind, I might as well go back to the pros. Well, right,
- 32:12I might as well go because that's what you're creating. You're gonna probably
- 32:15cut back on scholarships. It's not gonna beship so scholarship. Oh see,
- 32:22I didn't even know that they're gonna cut back because we're in a business now
- 32:24extra money. I'm not talking to you and your parents. I'm talking to
- 32:28you on age twenty five. I need the ten that will play right.
- 32:31I need to make a team. I don't need but a fifty man roster.
- 32:35I might as well cut the team. Why would I keep one hundred
- 32:37people have to pay down from like one fifteen to like eighty five. I'm
- 32:42just asking you to take your shoes off, step out here with me to
- 32:45the picture. The person who's running the program isn't even concerned about athletics.
- 32:51This person is just great. So bat at cnat all the all that high
- 32:55school GPA, all that's out the one to too, Why why why I
- 32:59need that that's to come into the school. Maybe, But that's what I'm
- 33:04saying. That's what we can drop the school part because you were not going
- 33:07it's going to school. What what aspect would be going to school? You
- 33:13just the school? You just play? What the if there is? I
- 33:16took a job at part of it. I took a job at play with
- 33:20football. Just the state CC. Yeah, state employee. Get a check
- 33:25from that's it. That's it. But like you were saying with the h
- 33:30like someone who's just good at balancing or managing budgets, that's most likely the
- 33:37future of the athletic directors. Yeah, you're going to see athletic directors who
- 33:40are more about money. This dude used to run an electric company, but
- 33:45that's been going. That's what I'm saying. Take your shoes off, step
- 33:49back and you it'll start having them aha moments. The athletic director before him
- 33:58was an ex football player that stayed around here and used to be the ball
- 34:02boy, and then he became the ticket seller and he was the rent and
- 34:06then they made him a d. Now the ad used to run IBM in
- 34:12Europe. Yes, never played football, have played for part of it,
- 34:15but he revolutionized fiber optic technology and so now to do it football and sports.
- 34:23Heat played college sports at all. We went to Columbia and got a
- 34:30masters and a PhD and went and ran a company. The athletic director beforehand
- 34:36used to be former sports people, somebody that you typically went to that school
- 34:42in some sport, whether they were great or not. And we're able to
- 34:46be the athletic director. I just would just love the n C double a
- 34:52erase all that's part about going to class higher because you're gonna cut scholarships which
- 34:57won't even be call scholarships, No more sponsorships, prime, it's just contract
- 35:01contract now. Now I don't need eighty, I don't need a hundred.
- 35:06Remember each class is twenty to twenty five people. So typically on a football
- 35:09team on the Power five, you have one hundred people on scholarship, if
- 35:14not one hundred and twenty on scholarship. I don't need that, so I
- 35:22can save money and cut forty people. Well, remember we're just contracts.
- 35:27We're not going to school. Yeah, so it's just business now. Minor
- 35:31league sports. We talked when the distance runner got booed. We talked about
- 35:39how at some point you got to make a stand and it might not benefit
- 35:45you in that time for alumni, for fans of universities and those teams that
- 35:51they've supported some for generations to see this where in the future it may be
- 35:58we don't have a real football team. We just got a business run by
- 36:01the university that plays footballs for us. Will that affect the support from alumni,
- 36:08Will that affect the support from pure fans, or will it expand the
- 36:15game to where you know, now I can truly be a fan. If
- 36:19you're winning, you'll probably be able to keep your fan base. The same
- 36:22you start losing over time, you could just be seen as a professional team
- 36:28that plays for the school. Right, people won't have that same because as
- 36:32I'm saying that now, the people that might be on the field never even
- 36:38went to school there, right right, They're just people who came here.
- 36:43What do you think the age out will be? And a lot of fans
- 36:49will be just like that fly by night, oh man, and they'll be
- 36:52saying people in the Atlanta area don't support the Georgia team like they should,
- 36:55that kind of stuff. What was your question? Just one of what would
- 37:00be the age out? Like beginning like it's got to be like eighteen to
- 37:04twenty seven? Why? Why? Why? It's business? It's business now,
- 37:08might as well just paid who pay the best dude I can afford.
- 37:14You can stay here forever, Pay the best dude I can afford. If
- 37:17all you ever was a college player and you tried to pro, you tried
- 37:21the NFL and didn't work, come back to our team. Why have any
- 37:25limits of school. Let's take the full step. Let's bow knicks for the
- 37:32rest of us, for the rest of exactly, Let's bow knicks forever.
- 37:37Let's just bow knicks forever. Make I'll make four years here, I'll do
- 37:40four years there. I'll do two years here, I'll do two years over
- 37:44there. Easier, way easier. That's all they're doing with working on your
- 37:49masters, pat while you're doing Why why would I work on anything? But
- 37:53you got on you don't have matter. See, you're still you're still locked
- 37:58in that old model. That's what I'm saying here. Still you're the reason

- 41:30shock wine canny. Good morning to you out there. I hope you
- 41:34are somewhere where the sun will be shining here at least once it gets to
- 41:37noon. Right now, nobody really cares if it's raining because you're still trying
- 41:42to sleep off last night. But in about three or four hours you're gonna
- 41:45want to, you know, at least around lunch, get out and wherever
- 41:49you are in tan and then have a better day. So what about the
- 41:52person that's got to get the barbecue ready to day, like you gotta wait
- 41:55later. Nobody really does that. Man, You gotta come out of them
- 41:59caves or North Carolina. Anybody doing none of that? Doing what caves?
- 42:04Caves where people still doing that old school? Oh you still throw the barbecue
- 42:08on Monday. Don't nobody doing that? Nobody grilling? We did that on
- 42:13Saturday, They did that beforehand. But this though, most people are buying
- 42:17on Saturday and from the smoke barbecue places and then just putting it on their
- 42:24grill. Oh they capping. No, they're not capping. They evolutionaries.
- 42:30They have moved to the new world. They're saving time, saving time because
- 42:38me and my time doing this for the slaverribs. It's twenty eight dollars or
- 42:45I could just go up here to the barbecue blace and get the slavribs for
- 42:47thirty and didn't have to waste no time. But no, where's the labor
- 42:53being authentic? Where's the labor of love? You know the place is called
- 42:59the Author Barbecue House. You should have started with that, sir. I
- 43:02wouldn't. I would just if you had to say we got it from a
- 43:07phoenix, then I would have just been like and for just five dollars more.
- 43:10It's a bargain at this point because the time that I've saved just drinking
- 43:15beer and watching the game. Yeah, you're right, Yeah, you didn't
- 43:21have to do all that. That's the No. They don't do that.
- 43:23No more do you do that? People? People don't even count on whether
- 43:28being good telling you to go to wherever. Most those places have so high
- 43:34rate. Most of their barbeque sales is to go. Yes, people are
- 43:42picking it up in boxes, boxes like I've gone there on certain days,
- 43:49like basically what you got left? Because the guy go back there looking,
- 43:54man, I got four wings, right, look like I got a breast,
- 43:59right, that's all. It looked like a brass might be a thigh,
- 44:01you know what, I might might just be a big chicken thigh.
- 44:06It's getting to the point. Now you got a slab. No, look
- 44:08like we got like a half of slap half span. We can make them
- 44:10tips though. That's how they're really doing it. Ain't nobody in the backyard
- 44:15when the last time you went to the park and somebody had actually had a
- 44:19grill. Do you know that a lot of trip over a dog. Then
- 44:22your agrell places sell them in like packages. Now like you get the half
- 44:27slab, but you know the cosgo and get the Saint Louis. Uh,
- 44:30they already do it for all holidays, but all companies you can hook them
- 44:35up Thanksgiving meal. My cousins still do all fashine side and we did,
- 44:40yes we can this weekend. We still did the old fashioned way. Shot
- 44:45out to the boys. I still use stamps, food stands, stamps from
- 44:50oh call it. But if we had the book, let's get a book.
- 44:55If I had some stamps, I would use it too. But the
- 45:00male, yeah, the male, I did do that. Elia said,
- 45:04seventeen percent of Americans still use and that's low the male. That's you still
- 45:09use stamps yea to matale stuff. So it's it's the same. I'm just
- 45:15telling you what you're thinking about waking up at six getting the chocoal hot,
- 45:20because that's actually what it requires. I do it, and that's what it
- 45:25requires, the being up at six, the season and the lawing, and
- 45:30it is love. But it allows for no time of anything else. And
- 45:35I've found that people do that more when it's a small group. They're more
- 45:39likely to barbecue for three or four people than it is for masses of people.
- 45:46I snapped the massive people I'm calling Greggs Barbecue and sports jock, I'm
- 45:52having the experience thirty five people I'm about to call Greggs barbecue, and it
- 45:57makes sense I might make a side and add on to it. And it
- 46:01took me doing it to agree with you. I did it for forty people
- 46:05and was like, nah, and I ain't doing this no more. I
- 46:07ain't doing this no more for forty forty five people at the house and everything
- 46:13was handmade. Now, it gave me a great sense of pride when they
- 46:15man, it's delicious. Who catered this right out the kitchen? Boy,
- 46:20you doing your thing on that. I really loved that part of it.
- 46:22But that's the love. The three days that it really took me to prepare
- 46:29and then clean. And you know what, we could have just went to
- 46:31authentics and had the same kind of time. You know, go ahead on
- 46:37and get your chocolate going. Hey, let's do it, he said,
- 46:42go out. But the rain is passing through here in Atlanta though once again.
- 46:45And I just want to make sure for the clear up when we were
- 46:49talking about the whole college ting, I just want us to take the education
- 46:54part away. It allows everybody to do because all you ever wanted was payers
- 47:01to get paid. That's that's it seemed like I heard that more than anything
- 47:06over the last decade. But stop trying to do it under the umbrella of
- 47:10some kind of education. Right, you don't have a restriction, You don't
- 47:15have to worry about what eligibility. Oh he you know this is six years.
- 47:20He got to move on. No, he could just stay here and
- 47:22play if that's what Tim Tebow could have just stayed in Florida forever. One
- 47:28of our online well couple of online comments from our online listeners, Charlie Johnson's,
- 47:31said that so non athletes UH have to pay and then they cut the
- 47:37tuition with all that money being made, so it still seems unfair that at
- 47:43the end of the day, somebody for the program. I don't understand.
- 47:49It's you're cutting scholarships things like that, and there are some people that could
- 47:55possibly beliefit benefit who would have went to s you just want to educate,
- 48:00I did it that way. You didn't want the education, right, right?
- 48:05And then Field says that, uh, that seventeen percent. I guess
- 48:08when you mentioned that statistic, he said, that's why the post office loses
- 48:12billions of dollars a year. Yeah, that's why they raised your rent on
- 48:15the box rent. I'm like, crazy, two hundred dollars for two hundred
- 48:21dollars a year for a post office box? Yeah, yeah, man,
- 48:25we don't trust you when it comes to money. You cheap man. That's
- 48:29nobody. Now, now he's saying this for a post office box, two
- 48:32hundred dollars, what is it a month, a year, a year?
- 48:36And now this box is probably the size of a room when you go,
- 48:40it's probably a sixty by sixty And he's like, it's a whole it's a
- 48:45whole vault. He making it sound like he's just getting a little bity a
- 48:50letter size box. But get that stripper two hundred dollar. The full song
- 48:54Paul Pierce, No I go, I go a three minute song. That's
- 48:58twelve misery. Ask them where she's going? Right after? I got some
- 49:06more minded want to crowd around it. You can see me. You're not

- 53:00week revealing that his wife of thirty five years, Miss Kim Van Gundhi,
- 53:08last August, her death was due to suicide. And that resonated because just
- 53:16maybe a day after I read that article, young man only thirty years old,
- 53:22Grayson Murray, two time PGA Tour winner, actually exited the tour on
- 53:30the sixteenth hole, if I was reading, so, he withdrew. He
- 53:37withdrew from in the second tournament, the second round of the tournament at some
- 53:43point, as his parents reported, his death was due to suicide. Suicide.
- 53:52You know, for most of us, seems like that door where people

- 54:42That means that from the day you're born day one, thirty six thousand days,

- 54:51hundred years. So somewhere between one day and thirty six thousand, five hundred
- 55:04days, most of us leave here. Guarantee. That's just really how it
- 55:12works. And you can go right now and get your calculator out and multiply
- 55:17how old you are times three sixty five subtracted from thirty six five hundred,
- 55:28and you'll see you'll start appreciating life better. I keep trying to tell a
- 55:31lot of people I'm just riding the clock. I don't try to be morbid.
- 55:36Numbers are not morbid. They're just real, just real. So you
- 55:40start thinking, Man, I got ten thousand days left. I had no
- 55:45time for this argument. I ain't got no time to be going jail.
- 55:49I ain't got no time to be wrong in no people, I got like
- 55:51ten thousand days. Yeah, I can't do it. I can't do it,
- 55:55says life says that half of them, you might you're gonna be sick,
- 56:01and that what fifty to fifty is. You know, you have just
- 56:04many good days as bad. So I mean, so you better go ahead
- 56:09on. I got about five thousand good ones left and that's all I can
- 56:14offer that it ends anyway, so you might as well live it out and
- 56:19see the comedy side, learn to laugh, find find laughter. Yeah,
- 56:23and and and and and see if that can move. And if you don't
- 56:28like the life y'all didn't just move and go become somebody else? Hey man,
- 56:32Yeah, get in your car or catch a train or flight, go
- 56:37somewhere and just start living another life. If that life. And I'm not
- 56:43talking about in a criminal I hurt somebody, run away, leave your responsibilities.
- 56:46I'm saying you change. Then go change and do something else and let
- 56:52that be what moves you. But I just I just wanted to say that
- 56:55somewhere and there, and it's sad to see a young man thirty. I
- 57:00would imagine Stan van Gundy is close to maybe around sixty eight up in there,
- 57:08so you imagine his wife probably somewhere in the same range. But for
- 57:15the young man, grace and Murray and his family. You leave that and
- 57:19quite sure you might have. You know, you say you love people,
- 57:22but that's what you leave them with that I don't know, and sports kind
- 57:27of love that is to leave me with that bag for forever, with questions
- 57:31that'll never get answered, right, And if I could add anything, Some
- 57:37people, when they hear you say what you just said, if you find
- 57:40yourself in a life that you're not happy with, move on to a space.
- 57:45A lot of people will say it's not that easy, and I'm here
- 57:49to tell you it is. It is just that easy that if you're not
- 57:52happy where you are, you can decide to move somewhere else where you're or
- 58:00happy. It may not solve everything that's wrong today, but a shift will
- 58:06begin a progression, and you can do it as easy as that. You
- 58:10don't have to worry about how obviously you're not worried about other people when you
- 58:16take your own life. That's unfortunate that they leave purple behind. A lot
- 58:22of people are tortured because they try to live a life based on what others
- 58:27think of them and where they should be. And find someplace where you're happy
- 58:32and go there. That's all I have to say, Comangie, just just
- 58:37want you to know that now, yeah, they ever get tough. Just
- 58:43want to make sure you know, oh yeah, we know this. Pray
- 58:45for that young man's the game is already read. It's already read. We
- 58:51all getting our chance to clock out, ride the clock. I'm telling you
- 58:57that's me. I'm just walking around dust and stuff. Yes, but condolences
- 59:01to the Van Gundhi. And you see Stan doing a great job. And
- 59:06I'm quite sure what he's doing this season is therapy, yes, being able
- 59:10to get out, move around. I bet he's so happy to have that
- 59:14job, a job that takes him away from home and puts him and keeps
- 59:19his mind occupied doing that color analyst work. Does a great job there.
- 59:23And the Grayson Murray family, young man thirty years old. I only did
- 59:30ten thousand days, so he kind of left a little early there. He
- 59:34left a lot on the table there, Grayson. But to his family who
- 59:37has to carry that burden because I've lost someone who was close to me to
- 59:45suicide and everybody left wonders what could I have done different? Like was there
- 59:52a call that I didn't take. We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show
- 59:58right after this Don't Go Away, or of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne
- 1:00:04Dan. Videos coming up next, And now let's talk about something exciting,
- 1:00:08life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of
- 1:00:14financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I
- 1:00:19was twenty five, me and my wife were just getting started with our family
- 1:00:22and thought we lived forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:00:24What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I
- 1:00:28was forty, with a kid in college and bills piling up, I was
- 1:00:30worried how my family will survive without me. That's what I'm made an appointment
- 1:00:34with the insurance informant. Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your
- 1:00:37family security no matter what stage of life you're in. Now that I'm older,
- 1:00:42I don't worry about whether I leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:00:45The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn
- 1:00:47a little or a lot, all you need is the insurance informant to help
- 1:00:52you build a foundation of security. Because without you, your family will have
- 1:00:55two options, benefits or bills, which legacy will leave behind log on today
- 1:01:01benefits or builds dot com. That's benefits or bills dot com. Hear that
- 1:01:12that's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in rhythm to the
- 1:01:19world you've created. But every time you drive after drinking, music gets drowned
- 1:01:24out. Your life sounds pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it.
- 1:01:31Buzz driving is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed. A message from nits in
- 1:01:37the ad council share and we hold the world ransom for excuse me while I
- 1:01:52whip this out shoot broadcasting live and it led to this. This is the
- 1:01:59sports jock with Wayne Ganty. You bagga kill me up? Can you plain
- 1:02:08come to come to poyet get comes to mark it just I'm gonna do it.
- 1:02:17I'm gonna go on the way till Vegan WP up to this? What
- 1:02:22shock? Shock? This what shock? Wayne Ganny good morning? Tell you.
- 1:02:27Uh. If you missed any of that first hour as the show go
- 1:02:30off, you can go to Apple Podcast, Amazon Podcast, Spotify, Deezer
- 1:02:37iHeart Radio and catch the replay of the show. Com at you, Greg
- 1:02:40Big Kenny Uh, the bad producer in the building. We have reached Memorial
- 1:02:45Day and guys, I'm telling you the sun is gonna come out. You
- 1:02:49know, this is the at l You might need a first coat by seven
- 1:02:52pm. Hey Bacon, Because I was thinking about how much faith you have
- 1:02:58in the weather that you were saying, like, lady, you might want
- 1:02:59to get out in ten I was like, that's a stretch looking at the
- 1:03:01weather now, But you're right, we might be out at the beach like
- 1:03:06three hours from now. Like, man, it is hot. Where did
- 1:03:09this sid come from? That's just the ad. We'll do that. It
- 1:03:14will give you three seasons in one day. We talked about the Minnesota Timberwolves
- 1:03:19being down three zero to Dallas. Dallas really keeping the pressure on these Timberwolves
- 1:03:27and man called Anthony Town taking their lumps this time around learning and that's part
- 1:03:32of you can almost see the lesson of them learning that just beating the champ.
- 1:03:38Sometimes you still got people to win and beat and Dallas right now with
- 1:03:44Kyrie, Kyrie's been down this path before, finally hooking up with another Lebron
- 1:03:51James type, which is always good for Kyrie. And we look at Luca
- 1:03:57he has he's more of that Lebron Jane style of game, kind of point
- 1:04:01forward where Kyrie can play off ball, something I keep trying to get here
- 1:04:06in Atlanta with our young superstar Tray Young. I believe you need to create
- 1:04:12something where he's more off ball. But everybody else you don't know what it's
- 1:04:15saying. Yeah, he's a he's really a two guard. It's the same
- 1:04:18thing that the Sixers try to do when they put Snow at point and let
- 1:04:24a I play the two. It's just those guys are They're just small two
- 1:04:30guards, that's all they are. Kyrie, Isn't that really what Kyrie is?
- 1:04:35He's the two? He just six point a point s guard, not
- 1:04:39a point guard. Well that's how it was that but Anthony Edwards, it
- 1:04:45called Anthony Towns. The young studs getting their lesson right now. And they're
- 1:04:49down three tonight, down three ozer. Boston Celtics rising up on the Indiana
- 1:04:56Pacers, and you knew when they said Holland Burton was going to be out,
- 1:05:00the Celtics is gonna win. And again, you know, I kind
- 1:05:04of felt that this could be a sweep from the jump anyway, heart knows.
- 1:05:11Victory to even get out of New York were the Pacers. And then
- 1:05:15you catch the Celtics with like a week of rest, which looked like they
- 1:05:19finally have gotten out of that comfort zone of playing down to the competition so
- 1:05:28easily. Could be a sweet They could have a long break. Remember,
- 1:05:30the finals won't start to June sixth, so if they went to night,
- 1:05:38it'll feel like training camp for a preseason in ten days, right, there'll
- 1:05:43be ten days before they play again. You could get some legitimate rest,
- 1:05:46get a lot of vacation in yeah, yeah, and come back and lock
- 1:05:51in and really really get it done. I think that one of the things
- 1:05:55that sometimes and it's just my opinion about the Celtics, at the end of
- 1:06:00the season, they start playing like they ready to go home, you know,
- 1:06:02like, man, I got stuff I had planning to do this summer,
- 1:06:05almost like teachers, they're ready to back up and get the school year
- 1:06:10over with. But then now they see, like, man, all we
- 1:06:13need to do is get through this last series. We can be world champions.
- 1:06:16It's like, like, let's stop playing around and go ahead and handle
- 1:06:20our business, get these dudes out of the way, do the same thing
- 1:06:24with the next guys, and then hoist Detroit. It looked that way in
- 1:06:27Game three because they were down by eighteen, yeah, in the in the
- 1:06:30first half. But then when Andrew Nimhardt is the best player for the Pacers,
- 1:06:36Uh, you didn't have to say that, and you didn't have to
- 1:06:42say his name like that though that man made the team. He made the
- 1:06:45team. Now I'm saying, let's let's let's you know respectfully, he had
- 1:06:49thirty something points, like we've never seen that in his career. So but
- 1:06:54the heart's are listening and they like, hey, hey, put some respect
- 1:06:58on that question. My question. You think that the first game with Indiana,
- 1:07:02with how they lost and when over time had that game actually one?
- 1:07:05You think that really just took another part, took a lot out of them
- 1:07:11as far as trying to come back, Like I'm gone. I mean,
- 1:07:15well, what do you have you ever had that blow? I mean,
- 1:07:17because, like you said, it was in a hard fought series in New
- 1:07:19York. Then you go into Boston, you have you got the game your
- 1:07:24hand, and then have you ever given it all you had? Knew you
- 1:07:30left it out there, gave it more than you thought you had and still
- 1:07:33came up Sure, how did it affect you? How did it make you
- 1:07:38feel? Well? See, that's why I asked hypothetically. I wouldn't ask
- 1:07:45you because I'm sure that you have a point. He doesn't know what all.
- 1:07:49And that's what I'm saying, not not just your awe, but you
- 1:07:53thought that was your alle and you found two three more down there when you
- 1:07:57went to digging around, and you gave that and still came short. How
- 1:08:00do you think that would affect you? When you know I can give you
- 1:08:03my best and you still can beat me. That won. That's the first
- 1:08:08game. It has just been a five game series. Boston is the better
- 1:08:14team. The Knicks were not going to beat Boston. Only people can beat
- 1:08:18Boston is Boston. What Boston sees now is they have no real reason not
- 1:08:24to win the championship. That's motivating too. Yes, the people I thought,
- 1:08:30maybe the you know, the Jolo Beebes and the Sixers or the Bucks
- 1:08:33or even Denver or whoever I thought would be teams I would have to run
- 1:08:38into to take home the trophy are no longer there. So all I can
- 1:08:45do is look in the mirror. At this point, it's I can put
- 1:08:49on a ring, do y'all, because that's a special I can put on
- 1:08:51a ring, or I can fumble the back. If I'm Jason Tatum,
- 1:08:55that's what I walk in there and do we put on a ring or not?
- 1:08:58Because we the only people can stop it. You're already put on a
- 1:09:03ring. Now, then when the eight victories, we put on a ring.
- 1:09:10Let's do that. Who spost to stop us? Right? Then we
- 1:09:13can go home for the summer, do all that stuff you wanted to do.
- 1:09:17It's those are the simple motivational speeches. Here's the people that's left who
- 1:09:25supposed to stop us, right, and they can put on a ring.
- 1:09:30Great series could could be coming up between Boston and Dallas, but it could
- 1:09:34be for both of them a long break because if they both sweep these games,
- 1:09:41they will have until June sixth before they play again. The new series
- 1:09:45the doing way the NBA does it, where they lock in the dates.
- 1:09:49Now everybody gets a check. We know that they are professionals. What are
- 1:09:54the chances that in Minnesota come back and stretch this further than the one game?
- 1:10:01Oh one more game they can do that? You think that you think
- 1:10:04they got at least one left in them because the same advantage that we were
- 1:10:09talking about with Boston, now Dallas sees that as well. Like these dudes
- 1:10:14didn't come in as somebody that's snuck in here. They have been playing.
- 1:10:17We've had to fight our way back. We found more than we thought we
- 1:10:21had and it worked for us several times. So we almost we're almost invincible.
- 1:10:29Well they can't. We can't get so anytime you have him, you
- 1:10:32can get you a pride game. Okay. Yeah, and see speaking of
- 1:10:39him in the last twenty six twenty seven seconds last night, I think he
- 1:10:42might have took the last shot from Minnesota, and that explosiveness was the first
- 1:10:45time that I saw the comparison that you make of him and d Wade.
- 1:10:49I saw that last night. Looked exactly like d Wade, and I was
- 1:10:54thinking, as bad as that dude is, they still can't get a w
- 1:10:59which made me feel like Dallas is just going to you know what I'm saying.
- 1:11:01It's not like he was burned out at the end of the game.
- 1:11:04He didn't have anything left in the tank. He was still ant man and
- 1:11:11Dallas just beat them. Well, Dallas team is just a better team.
- 1:11:15Yeah. Their components they have. You just don't know the name. See
- 1:11:21that's the thing in sports, when you don't know the name, you just
- 1:11:25credit the people. So you know Luca, you know Kyrie, and because
- 1:11:29you don't know the other five people, you don't understand. They made a
- 1:11:31team of those guys, and those guys do exactly what they need to do
- 1:11:35to play with Kyrie and Luca chemistry, and bad producer doesn't try to create
- 1:11:45chemistry. He tries to create superstars. It's the others that win you championships.
- 1:11:54It's the superstars that sell the tickets, that's all. So how are
- 1:12:00your others? That's what you need to be wondering. How are your other
- 1:12:03people? How is your other cornerback? Don't worry about this dude. How's
- 1:12:08the other dude though on the other side, because everybody we got him,
- 1:12:12we know he gonna lock somebody down. But how is your other cornerback?
- 1:12:15How is your third receiver? Stop worrying about who the first and second is.
- 1:12:19Who is the third guy I'm supposed to throw the ball to and most
- 1:12:24obvious didn't scratching your temple? Well, then that's probably why your team ain't
- 1:12:27winning, because you don't even that the third guy is just as important as
- 1:12:30the first. But nobody looks at it that way. They want is what's
- 1:12:39the man from Man. We just we need uh, what's the guy from
- 1:12:42the Bengals. We got Jamar Chase. He wouldn't hurt. But I'm not
- 1:12:50saying we got to go get him specifically, but he wouldn't hurt jam on
- 1:12:56I team. Everybody got a Jamar Chasey. I got Jamar Chase on that.
- 1:13:01There's a Jamar Chase on everything on every team, on every team.
- 1:13:05Yes, it has to be. It's always a lead receiver. Yes,
- 1:13:09yes, we got guys that don't call one hundred and fifty balls for their
- 1:13:13team don't make the playoffs, so obviously that that pattern doesn't work. We'll
- 1:13:18be back more to Sports y'all show right after this practicing. Now you know

- 1:21:30But I don't think me getting robbed adds up to me and my mom.
- 1:21:36I've been robbed a couple of times too. I don't think that he
- 1:21:45was robbing others. Yeah he was, he was robbing. He didn't say
- 1:21:48that. He said he was. But at the same time, I'm just

- 1:27:32you get up and start the day. It's a sleeping day for a lot
- 1:27:36of people, not just because you parted hard last night, but if you're
- 1:27:40off work, most people wake up a little later and the day is raining.
- 1:27:44Here in the Atlanta area, one story that is gaining a little interest
- 1:27:50is I mean Shiloh Shiloh Sanders the safety out in Colorado. Uh deon Sander's
- 1:27:58son that uh he used to have a lot of potential not sure that I've
- 1:28:02seen first round, but definitely second third round safety. The only thing about
- 1:28:10him is the combination of size and speed is he you know the new safety
- 1:28:15now looks more like a linebacker. You know those guys you don't know what
- 1:28:21if their linebacker or what. So Shiloh, who played great last season,
- 1:28:30I seem to have that knack to get to the ball. We talked about
- 1:28:32him being even in a a BMF episode playing his dad. Has come under
- 1:28:40some trouble financially. He's had to file bankruptcy. There was a judgment put
- 1:28:46out on him from an incident in high school where he broke a security guard's
- 1:28:54arm is that what it is or janitor's arm? And twelve million dollar lawsuit
- 1:29:03has been fouled and judgment against him, So that has put him where he
- 1:29:13had to file bankruptcy. I do know we've seen him in commercials, as
- 1:29:15I said, we've seen him on the runway fashion model, but bankruptcy has
- 1:29:21been what he's had to file to get out of this legal message. It
- 1:29:26was a the it was a security guard at at his former school, and
- 1:29:31he claims that he has neurological injuries and damage to his cervical spine, and
- 1:29:41he won the judgment. Twelve million dollars judgment against him. Right now,
- 1:29:45now looks like this happened maybe when he was a sophomore in high school.
- 1:29:53I guess I'm and I understand how when it comes to collecting for people will
- 1:30:00file bankruptcy. I know that they have restructured the laws in the United States
- 1:30:05to make it more difficult for people to file bankruptcy in an effort to avoid
- 1:30:11debt. I also know that in any personal injury judgment, when they find
- 1:30:19you libel and then you say I'm bankrupt, a lot of times your lawyers
- 1:30:26and the courts will move to freeze whatever assets you have, and then we'll
- 1:30:30evaluate those and then we'll give you what comes from that a lot of times.
- 1:30:36So I don't think this means that he gets to completely leave the situation
- 1:30:41behind. But I think that maybe he may not have to pay a full
- 1:30:45twelve million, yeah said, I think bankruptcy lets him of rule where they
- 1:30:49just take all his money out of the rank and they can only take a
- 1:30:54certain percentage or payment plan or something like that, instead of just saying,
- 1:31:00okay, you got twelve million in the bank, right, But I'm reading
- 1:31:03here also that it says that he lost he didn't show up for trial,
- 1:31:10leading to a default judgment against him, which is uh. See his attorney
- 1:31:15said in court filings he wasn't aware of the proceedings that know about the judgment
- 1:31:20until twenty twenty three. Notices didn't reach him and were not sent they were
- 1:31:27sent to the wrong address. So I guess he gots work ahead of him
- 1:31:31too, because when if that's his claim, he can get another trial.
- 1:31:36Well, no, no, no. Generally, a default judgment is the
- 1:31:44court's way of saying that we've done our due diligence in trying to notify you.
- 1:31:48Now, what I don't understand is if he's got an attorney, why
- 1:31:51didn't they notify that person? He said the notices didn't reach him. You've
- 1:31:57got legal represent representation, They notify your attorney, and your attorney calls you
- 1:32:03and says, at least that's how mine used to day we got court on
- 1:32:06Friday. You know what I'm saying, that kind of thing. I never
- 1:32:10was on some hey man, they said that we need to be in court.
- 1:32:14That's now. It never worked like that in my case. I don't
- 1:32:16know what it's like in that kind of situation. So I think that's odd
- 1:32:20that I didn't get any of these notices. And now you know, oh
- 1:32:25man, I didn't know because when yeah, like you said, you know
- 1:32:29that he has an attorney and with this incident happening that you you were involved
- 1:32:34in it, so you know you lawyered up because you had to. Possibly
- 1:32:38charges were filed against or something at the school at the time. So the
- 1:32:42attorney's being because the incident happened in twenty fifteen. And trust me, the
- 1:32:45people who serve these notices or they see you years old when it happens,
- 1:32:50Yeah you still you still and you're still under perennial guardianship. So somewhere along
- 1:32:57the way, somebody was getting those notifications. Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell on
- 1:33:04Saturday Night. Now, Antonio Brown last week filed for bankruptcy as well.
- 1:33:10We do know he's had since he retired, a couple of business things,
- 1:33:15trying to go into music, also being a music was an agent, a
- 1:33:24sports agent, and he had a music arena football team. So he's had
- 1:33:29a couple of business ventures that could have put a strain. A couple of
- 1:33:33lawsuits against him as well. Remember the truck driver won a couple of million
- 1:33:39the furniture delivery guy. So he's had a couple of incidents, but he's
- 1:33:43filed bank's ruptcy. But this story is more of him and Levon is former
- 1:33:47Stiller teammate. Leveon Bell had a boxing match on Saturday Antonio Brown. As
- 1:33:56you've seen, some fighters do have musical artists bring them to the ring.
- 1:34:01That's what Antonio Brown provided for Levon. The most interesting part of the whole
- 1:34:08deal stood out for me is that their attire were was black and gold.
- 1:34:15They looked like Pittsburgh Steller fans. Leveon even had on the number twenty six.
- 1:34:21And I say that because both of them kind of left Pittsburgh with the
- 1:34:28felling of a middle finger up at Pittsburgh, right. Oh yeah, wasn't
- 1:34:32it more like that? Like you know, the Stealers are nothing that kind
- 1:34:39of that kind of sentiment energy. They say they for you, they say
- 1:34:43they family, and then you go and they see they both walking to the
- 1:34:47ring. Now, Leveon did win this fight against I don't really know his
- 1:34:53opponent, Tristan Ham. I didn't get to see the fight. I have
- 1:34:57to click on here later. But Leveon did's win the fight. He says
- 1:35:02he wants to be champ at his weight class, so we'll see about that.
- 1:35:06But I did laugh that two people who seem like they left with some
- 1:35:11kind of animosity towards the organization, would the Scott decided to go with that
- 1:35:18color scheme yellow, black and yellow. Well, again, we know name
- 1:35:23recognition is everything, so you know, don't nobody remember them from their Tampa
- 1:35:29Bay days? And then we talk about all the time the fierce loyalty that
- 1:35:35the fan base in Pittsburgh has, so they're hoping to tap into maybe some
- 1:35:42of that residual love for them. Even he even got the couple of little
- 1:35:45what's those things called this on the helmet, a little red and blue decals.
- 1:35:51Well, I see the stiller, I mean, you know, the
- 1:35:54like the little diamonds dimond shaped. He even got that on his on his
- 1:35:59jersey that he's made custom made. So he basically stole the whole logo.
- 1:36:05I wonder if it's not official. I guess they can wear it commanch you
- 1:36:11if yeah, if it's not the exact same, it's not he got it.
- 1:36:15As long as it's not official. It looked like he got to make
- 1:36:16it. What was more man Dapper Day and he went to New York got
- 1:36:18Dapple Day to make it for him. But he had his man, Antonio
- 1:36:21rap him. I don't know if it was a what song or if it
- 1:36:25was specifically a song made for Le'Veon, but he did as we've seen.
- 1:36:30That's why I said, other hip hop artists have rapped and song. We'll
- 1:36:33mostly rap or rock or something you know heavy to bring you to the ring.
- 1:36:40You don't want no love songs, saying if you go down there to
- 1:36:43fight, if this well and you just walk in all slow waving the people,
- 1:36:53Uh, are you guys taking Leveon serious? Yeah, I'd have to
- 1:36:59see some more. I commend you on what you've done thus far. I
- 1:37:02mean you've stepped into the ring and won to fight more than I've ever done
- 1:37:06in a professional boxing ring. So kudos, but one fight does not make
- 1:37:13a career. And you know how old is Le'Veon right now? Levian should
- 1:37:19be about thirty two and you're talking about being the champion because Antonio Brown should
- 1:37:27be around about thirty five. So it should be in there thirty two,
- 1:37:30thirty three years old. It's been a while because he's been out of the
- 1:37:34league. Le'Veon about four years now, and there's we know that football is
- 1:37:43a brutal sport, but it's when it comes to boxing. This ain't that
- 1:37:46and that ain't this. Yeah. Greg Hardy got knocked out the other night
- 1:37:51and he hit people when he was in football. That's what he was doing.
- 1:37:56Greg Hart at d N that got in trouble at Carolina, went to
- 1:38:00Dallas for a year and then got in the UFC. He was in the
- 1:38:02Barren knuckle boxing. He did that too. Okay, now he's where he's
- 1:38:06playing basketball now. I think he was trying out for the Big Three.
- 1:38:11Oh okay, so hey, Kyrie said no byself, Greg Hardy the Big
- 1:38:18Three. I guess that boxing is totally not His sense is loose. As

- 1:41:38and closer the time you think you'd be you what you think grade you can
- 1:41:42give him this first season, be Tom Brady going up in the box the
- 1:41:47color analysts for Fox B minus. Okay, Okay, that's a good grade
- 1:41:54because I'm I'm I'm gonna have an incomplete. I'm gonna give him my eye
- 1:42:00because I got to I don't know, I don't know what that is.
- 1:42:05You can withdraw from a class like I've never I've never. Okay, if
- 1:42:12he showed up for all the exams, he took all the tests, all
- 1:42:15the pop quizards, I know he's got the wealth of knowledge, but broadcasting
- 1:42:21that knowledge live it's different than this is all hypothetical. So I would give
- 1:42:30him a solid be since he's uh prepared as well, because you know,
- 1:42:39we see him prepare for everything super Bowls and the season and everything he's I'm
- 1:42:44gonna say he might be an a minus because he has that personality also,
- 1:42:47and that's basically the personality is gonna take over for a lot of the mistakes
- 1:42:51his first year. Now, I'll give him a bee too. I think
- 1:42:55I think he's going to do better than expected expected because he seems to have
- 1:43:00a personality that you wouldn't He doesn't never really necessarily show you because most of
- 1:43:08the time you see him it's in that stoic mode, right, But he
- 1:43:12looks like a guy that would just talk. Yeah, he's not going to
- 1:43:23be in this kind of nervous mode. He's going to just be talking,
- 1:43:27relaxed. And I've wondered how he would balance in a an ensemble. Usually
- 1:43:36he has had the focus in most of what he does in these panelists football
- 1:43:44broadcast. It's usually a lead who's a journalist, and then you've got the
- 1:43:47separate uh personalities who are specialists in there given areas. And I wonder will
- 1:43:54he be you know, good at giving up focus and and following along.
- 1:44:00I think that's why he took the year off. Yeah, maybe the practice
- 1:44:02so he could take a moment to practice for take a moment to look at
- 1:44:04study uh and and actually understand what he was walking into, just trying to
- 1:44:12go off the field and go right into saying that he probably had no timing
- 1:44:16because we don't even know that that was an interest of his. They could
- 1:44:20have approached him just a great deal to opportunity, right. I can imagine
- 1:44:26he was in his basement watching doing a lot of games, practicing color being
- 1:44:30like with the volume down, whoever he's gonna work with they've been doing.
- 1:44:33They've been in training camp whoever he's going to be his play by play,
- 1:44:39and they've been doing old games. I can imagine that That's why I said
- 1:44:42I respect the personality that he has is going to take over. Now he's
- 1:44:46starting like at the with the A team. Correct, Yes, So I
- 1:44:50think do you think that that was all? That's obviously all a result of
- 1:44:57I'm just Tom Brady there. There were is no we gonna have you play
- 1:45:00a little while with the Triple A team and then bring you up. We
- 1:45:04just go well, you have to always remember other people were competing. So
- 1:45:12if I'm blindly trying to get you on and I know three or four other
- 1:45:15companies, I have to imagine I gotta go all in, even if I
- 1:45:24find out that I might have to move you down. I gotta take the
- 1:45:27gamble. Even if I find out you Drew Brees, I gotta you know,
- 1:45:30I gotta take the gamble because I'm coming here and offering you the second
- 1:45:35unit. I know I'm gonna lose you. So we'll see Tom Brady just
- 1:45:41wondering how you felt about that. I know Angel Reesa, the Bad Producer's
- 1:45:45Superstar Chicago take another shot at Caitlin Clark last week. It's starting to come
- 1:45:56off bad dus like Haitian jealousy. Hey shouldn't I hadn't. I saw a
- 1:46:03couple of reports so about some things, but I didn't know she had took
- 1:46:06a shot at her. I know they had spoke about them coming in playing
- 1:46:11together. I know Becky Hammond's has made some statements and different things, but
- 1:46:16I'm not for sure what. Yeah, it was, it was a tweet.
- 1:46:24No, this was recent after they had won a game, and she
- 1:46:28tweeted out, uh, this is a good team win and it has nothing
- 1:46:31to do with uh one player on a charter flight and yeah, but that
- 1:46:40stands from at least when the season started, Angel Reach's team hadn't got around
- 1:46:45to charter flights yet. Correct, they were still doing it like last season
- 1:46:49the Indiana Fever were on charter flights. They were they were the first team
- 1:46:55to do it. But all the teams have it now. But that's just
- 1:46:59been the ass a couple of weeks. And the only news this week was
- 1:47:03the Thomas girl Alssa Thomas threw She got objected from the game where she blatantly
- 1:47:11just threw yeah through as on Brown, But that's been more than She deleted
- 1:47:17that tweet as well. Yeah, I know this was like on like Friday
- 1:47:20morning or something, Thursday night she put this tweet out. It is just
- 1:47:25Monday, so we're within seventy two hours of it. Uh, And it
- 1:47:30just seems that there's a certain envy. Well exist was she playing? Was
- 1:47:34she playing Caitlyn Clark? No, they weren't even They were playing New York
- 1:47:39and the Libery Liberty. And this is I struggle to have these kinds of
- 1:47:45conversations with people about what is it? Is it hate or is it when
- 1:47:50you ain't got nothing to do with what I'm doing right now? You somewhere
- 1:47:55minding your business and people ask me how I feel about what I'm doing,
- 1:48:00and I say something negative about you. Whatever that is outside of hate,
- 1:48:08tell me so I can use that word for it, because other than that,
- 1:48:12that's jealousy, that's hating, that's envy, and it don't look good
- 1:48:16on you. I don't understand why you would think it's anything else but hate.
- 1:48:20Well, I know most of the headlines is about the flagrant file that
- 1:48:24was put on her right the last and we're not even talking about that.
- 1:48:27But you got flagrant fouled, and you want to tweet about it's just your
- 1:48:30hate towards the whole story because you want to try to narrow it down.
- 1:48:34Nobody's talking about no fagorant file. That was nothing. A veteran hit a
- 1:48:39rookie wasn't even ejectable. She hit her in the face and throw it down.
- 1:48:48So that's his deflection mechanism from what we were actually talking about. He
- 1:48:53decided he would bite on that part because if you learn with anybody be mad
- 1:48:57with the girl. Chok will be sure. Right after this we did on
- 1:49:00my hanger not to win all the world of Saints and everybody got still play.
- 1:49:03They bought God works in misty. We gets raising when you start of
- 1:49:06the job. We speaking the bus. We'd be so sincere with this here
- 1:49:10snow drugs or alcoholic or I can get the signal clear of this day.
- 1:49:14Don't go away. More of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dandrius coming up.

- 1:50:19Hi, we're the Goo Goo Dolls. We're fortunate that our daughters have what
- 1:50:24they need to grow and learn, but that isn't the case for nearly thirteen
- 1:50:27million kids in the US that struggle with hunger. Child in hunger is a
- 1:50:30heartbreaking reality that feeding America is working to change. Each year, the Feeding
- 1:50:34American network of food banks rescues billions of pounds of good food that would have
- 1:50:38gone to waste and provides it to families and children in need. You can
- 1:50:42help kids in need in your community by visiting Feeding America dot org. Brought
- 1:50:45to you by Feeding America and the AD Council. And now back to the
- 1:50:53sports job, Wayne Gandy. It's times go to school when we put a
- 1:51:00spin on life and sports and how they intermingled on the Sports Jack Show with
- 1:51:08Wayne Gandy. Man seen so thick Low rides seventy seventh of his all dog
- 1:51:19them but them relax, all the players, all the hustles. I'm talking
- 1:51:26about a black man heaven here. You know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 1:51:30it's beginning to look a lot like boy. Though Mike have re stepped to
- 1:51:34take no some of my white reps. I'm about to go whin zepp.
- 1:51:36This is the way Creek my season his Mike, get your rep I kept
- 1:51:40to say, the least don't know what chance. See they get the peas
- 1:51:43might two went to together. They got about sport shock and Wayne Gandee Marcel
- 1:51:50Malanga invited friends from his former US high school football team to come over to
- 1:52:00the Congo in an effort, as he said, to help the country and
- 1:52:05dig wales. But the story, comment your Greg from what I'm reading back
- 1:52:11bad Producer Big Kenny, is that they planned on kidnapping them. Is that
- 1:52:19the story? And have any of y'all seen this? Hold on, I
- 1:52:24have not seen this. I invite you to a part, yes, and
- 1:52:29you get together with some other people who invited to the party, and y'all
- 1:52:31decide to kidnap me. Marcel Milano invited friends in the US by telling them
- 1:52:38he would either be digging wells in Central African Nation or joining him on his
- 1:52:44family holiday. He struggled to find takers, and the one friend who accepted
- 1:52:49was lasting being captured and begging for his life after a short uprising and in
- 1:52:58the depth of Mala goals. Father, No, none of you saw this
- 1:53:03story. Maybe I have to let it breathe and but that's what the story
- 1:53:08is saying over in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, So watch out.
- 1:53:16They played football in Salt Lake City suburb and and he invited some people.
- 1:53:26Then those people came like he invited a couple of his former high school friends
- 1:53:29that played football with him over to the Congo and they got kidnapped. Not
- 1:53:33only one person accepted the invitation, but he invited him under some kind of
- 1:53:39I guess good will kind of mindset, only to find that the person who
- 1:53:45did accept got into got kidnapped or killed or at least missing at the moment.
- 1:53:53So it's traveling as an American right now is very very unpopular abroad,
- 1:54:00not like covered by military type of protection system. Just you know, I'm
- 1:54:06finna go see up the pyramids might not be the best thing right now,
- 1:54:12Like people going like you have a lot of people go to Haiti. There's
- 1:54:15just recently some Americans was killed over there because right now there's no governing law.
- 1:54:21Well, I don't know why you would go over to Haiti when they're
- 1:54:27telling you half the country is Yeah, you got people still going on there.
- 1:54:31Whether they call those missionary missionary trips, Yeah, some missionary people they
- 1:54:36would killed like three, well a couple of people were killed over the weekend.
- 1:54:41So so he said, like when Kenny said, traveling abroad right now
- 1:54:44as an American, it's very high alert. Well, I guess they they're
- 1:54:49not listening to the advisory. I guess not the United States. Don't go
- 1:54:59It's not even ambigie. It's like you ain't got to look between the lines
- 1:55:01I read. If you were thinking about going here, don't do it.
- 1:55:06It's a bad idea. And people still are going Lebron James, if there's
- 1:55:14a possibility of him not being a Laker, where do you see him going
- 1:55:18back to Cleveland? Told? Where else would you go? I mean right
- 1:55:23because right now, you just if you leave the Lakers and go somewhere else,
- 1:55:27you just kind of look like a homeless dude trying to find someplace to
- 1:55:29stay. You know what I'm saying. You just want a girlfriend that you
- 1:55:31stay with. Hey, maybe we could move in together. Where where would
- 1:55:34he go? No, I'm with you. I think really I have to
- 1:55:39go back to somewhere I've been, which would take me back to Cleveland or
- 1:55:42back to Miami. Otherwise, why is he? I feel like he does
- 1:55:46things he calculate. He's very calculated sometimes for him to be at that calvs
- 1:55:51playoff game. I know you from a sign, I know you from Akron,
- 1:55:58which isn't far away. But why this game, because now I'm sure
- 1:56:02down in Miami. Why we in Cleveland, Jimmy, but I was in
- 1:56:05town for my thing. Akron ain't nowhere near here, Yes, really need
- 1:56:13Akron is like from here to Buford. It could all if Cleveland was Atlanta
- 1:56:23for those that live here, or even if you traveled here, if you
- 1:56:29came to Atlanta. It's kind of a little kind of like getting back to
- 1:56:33the airport. It's like twenty five thirty miles, which would kind of resonate
- 1:56:38as a suburb of here. And sure they had nothing to do in that.
- 1:56:43He went to Cleveland to tell them, y'all need to fire JB Bigger
- 1:56:46staff this series and hire my boy JJ Reddick because I can't imagine him going
- 1:56:53back to Miami because I know Jimmy Butler somewhere like, uh, he can't
- 1:56:58come back as pat Riley. Oh he can't. Jimmy Butler's like, you
- 1:57:02better tell him he can't come back here, throwing his hand. Yeah,
- 1:57:08Cleveland is about the only spot that that's gonna work. And like I said,
- 1:57:14I think it'll work for out Brownie two way contract with on the Cleveland
- 1:57:17team and that with his dad, So yeah, I can. I can
- 1:57:21Cleveland. I would bet my dollar because you know about twenty five cent.
- 1:57:27I would bet maybe something like, uh, the Knicks, just because he
- 1:57:32ain't got nothing. That's just one of those check off, check check off
- 1:57:39the bucket list. Just have a jersey with James on the back of it
- 1:57:43from every team in the NBA. And I think reason want to say Cleveland
- 1:57:46too. Because of Bronnie. The fans will be more accepting if Bronnie was
- 1:57:51on that team with his dad. You know it wouldn't It wouldn't be as
- 1:57:56he's only here because of this. Well, you know, we weren't talking
- 1:57:59about where Brunnie was going. We didn't say nothing about Brownie though, but
- 1:58:03no, we didn't say nothing about that being the key either nobody did.
- 1:58:06I don't remember commanding Gregnnie and the Key or nothing. We were talking about
- 1:58:12where would Lebron go. You know, I'll be I'll be forgetting what I
- 1:58:15say, so I can't guarantee you if I say not. But I know
- 1:58:17y'all didn't say man By, it's got just be adding something he wants to
- 1:58:26make the story at the universe. I said nothing about just where Lebron go.
- 1:58:33If he says gotta be juicy, that'll be. That'll be in the
- 1:58:36court filing. You know he intentionally made it juicy and we are in the
- 1:58:43ocean. The truth is he will throw your in the ocean. It's time
- 1:58:49to wrap things up. On the Sports Judge Show with Wayne, we have
- 1:59:23the sound of Ocean against this voice out test. A minute to Ben.

- 1:59:50producer, thank you for your contribution to day. Going in the ocean today
- 1:59:58is twenty nine year old MLMA fighter Bryce Mitchell. Yes, Bryce Mitchell has
- 2:00:06to go. Never seen him fight. I need to see him fight.
- 2:00:13Might have to go in google him. But just had a baby and decided
- 2:00:18at his press conference that he would let everybody know that he'll be homeschooling his
- 2:00:28toddler. Didn't want to send him to the traditional way of schooling in our
- 2:00:33country, and he's going to homeschool because he doesn't want his son to become
- 2:00:41gay. Yeah, that ring in your ears before. I'm I'm pretty sure
- 2:00:54that's not how it works. I'm like one hundred I'm really like one hundred
- 2:01:00percent sure that it has nothing to do. Good morning, childrens, y'all,
- 2:01:09pull y'all. Books is out hunting. We is going to do some
- 2:01:14reading, write and rithmatic hanti. But Bryce either concussion from the MMA fighting
- 2:01:20or whoever had the baby. But you need to keep a close eye on
- 2:01:25those kind of statements. But he said he's not gonna He's going homeschool.
- 2:01:30Keep the tolerant from becoming gays. Help for that, Bryce Mitchell, fuck
- 2:01:35the plank. Ma Mama kept me home to keep me out a game.
- 2:01:51Meg Kenny the Mad Producer and commands your greg. Happy Memorial Day to you.
- 2:01:57We'll see you later in the week in Ja
