- 0:02Speaker 1: All right, coach, coming off of one game matchup against
- 0:05Speaker 1: Harvard five goals in the third period, turning your attention
- 0:11Speaker 1: back to conference play with a tough matchup against you
- 0:14Speaker 1: n H Home and Home. Just want to get your
- 0:15Speaker 1: thoughts into the weekend.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yeah, we're certainly you know, shifted gears here. We had
- 0:23Speaker 2: three non conference games after the break and now we
- 0:26Speaker 2: get into you know, the meat of the schedule here
- 0:31Speaker 2: the men's league, I think the second half of the season.
- 0:34Speaker 2: But you know, New Hampshire is gonna be a very
- 0:38Speaker 2: formidable opponent, no question about it. I think they're getting
- 0:41Speaker 2: very good goaltending by far. I think the strength of
- 0:46Speaker 2: their team is live within their defense. You know, they
- 0:49Speaker 2: have five senior defensemen and that's a lot of experience
- 0:53Speaker 2: back there, and they're very good, you know gang Ye
- 0:58Speaker 2: Jensen Hure this really really good defenseman back there. And
- 1:04Speaker 2: then up front, I mean con Mey's line with la
- 1:08Speaker 2: Clerk and Devlin, they've been scoring a ton. Lavin's has
- 1:13Speaker 2: been a really really good two hundred foot player for them.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Ring is coming to his own, So it's gonna be UH.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It's always a tough game up at the WIT and UH.
- 1:24Speaker 2: This year the way they're playing, We're gonna have to
- 1:26Speaker 2: be at the very top of our game if we
- 1:29Speaker 2: want to be successful.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Awesome, We'll all have been up for questions. Joe, let's
- 1:34Speaker 1: have you start us off.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Okay, thanks cav It's nice to be back with actually
- 1:38Speaker 3: doing a game. This will be fun. Glad to have
- 1:41Speaker 3: you back, Joe. It's only been too much I think
- 1:44Speaker 3: on time today too Well. You know last week I
- 1:48Speaker 3: had to work playing music for the Lord off a computer,
- 1:50Speaker 3: so I couldn't I couldn't do that. How is you
- 1:54Speaker 3: Larkin doing? Is he available this weekend? I don't think so.
- 1:58Speaker 3: He hasn't practiced this week, so I believe he's going
- 2:01Speaker 3: to be out again. Upper body lower body lower lower.
- 2:07Speaker 3: What did it mean for a kid like Cartman to
- 2:09Speaker 3: take the ice? I mean, I know he's practiced hard
- 2:11Speaker 3: and there just hasn't been a spot for him, and
- 2:14Speaker 3: you were able to put him in a couple.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Of different places. How did you like his work? I
- 2:18Speaker 2: thought he did a good job. You know, we spot
- 2:20Speaker 2: shifted him in different spots, and I thought, especially early
- 2:24Speaker 2: on in the Harvard game, we had some guys that
- 2:26Speaker 2: really weren't going and he came in and spelled them.
- 2:29Speaker 2: And you know, like Bobby Knight used to say that
- 2:33Speaker 2: the best motivator sitting on the bench and when you
- 2:36Speaker 2: get sat for a shift or two and someone comes
- 2:39Speaker 2: in and plays like Karpy, did you wake up in
- 2:42Speaker 2: a hurry? And I think he gave us some great
- 2:45Speaker 2: minutes against Harvard. The Muldowney, Chandor Reshard line has just
- 2:52Speaker 2: worked terrifically. Well what was it about them that made
- 2:56Speaker 2: you put them together in the beginning of the year. Well,
- 3:05Speaker 2: you're saying Muldowney, Chandor and and uh we have but
- 3:11Speaker 2: he Rich Rashard, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Well we
- 3:15Speaker 2: just put them together Joe the second half, like they
- 3:17Speaker 2: they haven't been together until uh we played Alaska. I believe.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I believe we ended this uh with Chandor, with Tattle
- 3:27Speaker 2: and Frasier. Yeah, that's right, my bet. And the one
- 3:32Speaker 2: thing we thought was like, all three are centermen, and
- 3:35Speaker 2: it was tough because you know, we had Joey Muldowney
- 3:38Speaker 2: centering I think in that BC game, Rashard and Perceval maybe. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 2: Joey's not a center, so it really wasn't fair to him,
- 3:48Speaker 2: and you know, we lost a lot of draws with
- 3:51Speaker 2: that line, and when you're losing draws consistently, you're chasing
- 3:54Speaker 2: the game instead of attacking. And uh so that was
- 3:58Speaker 2: why we've kind of moved Hudson, because Hudson is a
- 4:00Speaker 2: center and they seemed to work pretty well together. Thanks cav.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Randy, we'll jump over to you.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Thanks Colin, Good morning, Calv. Good to see Randy. Nice
- 4:12Speaker 2: to see you.
- 4:14Speaker 4: So the five goal outburst against Harvard, obviously the third
- 4:20Speaker 4: period was tremendous, but at the end of the second period,
- 4:24Speaker 4: Kayden Shahan shot down the ice, drew a penalty. You
- 4:27Speaker 4: obviously scored on the power play, but just his speed
- 4:31Speaker 4: and that energy play. What did that do for the
- 4:34Speaker 4: entire team for that third period?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that was a great play, and he's
- 4:38Speaker 2: that's been something he's been doing all year long. I
- 4:40Speaker 2: think what was more important was us executing on the
- 4:43Speaker 2: power play and scoring. That really energized our bench going in,
- 4:49Speaker 2: you know, to the third period, and then we follow
- 4:52Speaker 2: that power play with a goal on the very next shift.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Then we scored again on the next shift. So I
- 5:00Speaker 2: think it was the power play goal that really ignited us.
- 5:04Speaker 4: The first two goals you scored funneled from the blue line.
- 5:07Speaker 4: I think you had three that funneled from the defense
- 5:10Speaker 4: down load to forwards in front of the net. Shahan
- 5:13Speaker 4: that you know the redirect on the second one. How
- 5:17Speaker 4: important are your defenseman And what are you seeing from
- 5:21Speaker 4: guys like Caravin, who I believe is scored in two
- 5:24Speaker 4: straight now and Scott being able to get the puck
- 5:27Speaker 4: to the net through screens.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Well, I just think that it's a hallmark of any
- 5:32Speaker 2: good offensive team. Their defensemen get pucks down. They don't
- 5:36Speaker 2: necessarily have to be on net, but you got to
- 5:38Speaker 2: find sticks or you got to put them in an
- 5:40Speaker 2: area where we're going to retrieve it as opposed to
- 5:43Speaker 2: it getting blocked by that first wave. If your shots
- 5:46Speaker 2: are getting blocked, I mean, it's just disheartening. You know,
- 5:50Speaker 2: you work so hard, you kick it to the point,
- 5:52Speaker 2: and if it gets blocked and now the forwards have
- 5:54Speaker 2: to backcheck, you know that gets old quick as a forward.
- 5:59Speaker 2: So it's something that we, you know, we work on
- 6:03Speaker 2: and I'm sure every team in the country works on
- 6:06Speaker 2: getting pucks down past that first layer.
- 6:09Speaker 4: And finally, for me, Tongue, he only had to make
- 6:11Speaker 4: fifteen saves and he gave up too early, but he
- 6:14Speaker 4: made some big ones in the second. What does it
- 6:16Speaker 4: say about him to, you know, win a game that
- 6:18Speaker 4: he gives up too quick and doesn't face a you know,
- 6:21Speaker 4: a high volume. I think he limited them to fifteen shots,
- 6:24Speaker 4: but you know, he hung in there and bounced back
- 6:27Speaker 4: and gave you.
- 6:27Speaker 2: The chance for that comeback.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I think it was again a really good game by him.
- 6:33Speaker 2: The first two shots that they take a in and
- 6:36Speaker 2: sometimes goaltenders will crumble on that, and he didn't. You know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: he made some He made a really big save at
- 6:41Speaker 2: the end of the first period to keep it at two.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Nothing made a couple in the second, you know, and
- 6:47Speaker 2: then you know in the third, they had a little
- 6:49Speaker 2: bit of a push, but you know, we had a
- 6:51Speaker 2: two goal cushion, so it wasn't probably as nerve wracking
- 6:56Speaker 2: maybe as it was when you're down to nothing and
- 6:58Speaker 2: you don't want to let that third one in. So
- 7:00Speaker 2: I was really happy with the way he bounced back
- 7:02Speaker 2: and played.
- 7:03Speaker 4: I know, I said that was my last one. I
- 7:05Speaker 4: thought of one more. I think Chandor is on ninety
- 7:07Speaker 4: nine points. I know it's a round number, but it
- 7:12Speaker 4: would be something I don't think and Colin could check
- 7:17Speaker 4: me on this. I don't know that there's been one
- 7:18Speaker 4: hundred points scorer in the hockey's there, So Yackham did Yackham,
- 7:23Speaker 4: thank you just your thoughts on you know, his career
- 7:27Speaker 4: as a whole, and you know what that'll mean to
- 7:29Speaker 4: get that one hundred same.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I just think he he's the epitome of a Yukon
- 7:35Speaker 2: hockey player. From the day he's got here, he's just
- 7:39Speaker 2: been nothing but positive influence in the locker room. He's
- 7:42Speaker 2: a kid that started on the fourth line, got some
- 7:46Speaker 2: penalty kill minutes. By the end of his freshman year
- 7:48Speaker 2: he's on the power play and from that point on,
- 7:52Speaker 2: he's been a guy that's, you know, been a fifteen
- 7:55Speaker 2: to twenty minute player for us every single game. And
- 8:00Speaker 2: just he's an exemplary human being, is what he is.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And uh, I just I take I take one hundred
- 8:09Speaker 2: of them. Yeah, thank you, appreciate it.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Daniel will jump over to you.
- 8:16Speaker 6: Is uh Larkin's injury something that you're just taking week
- 8:20Speaker 6: to week and seeing how it goes with practice, or
- 8:24Speaker 6: do you anticipate he could be out a bit of
- 8:26Speaker 6: an extended period of time.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm hoping that he can get back
- 8:29Speaker 2: and practice next week, you know, certainly, but that's it's
- 8:36Speaker 2: it's one of those kind of lingering injuries that, uh,
- 8:40Speaker 2: I don't think it's Dan anything, you know, year ending injury,
- 8:46Speaker 2: but it's probably a week to week injury. It's not
- 8:50Speaker 2: day to day. It's probably a week to week.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Then in goal, obviously, Callum's numbers jump off the page.
- 8:57Speaker 6: But with Tye now back, how do you anticipate trying
- 9:01Speaker 6: to how do you anticipate using that position and deploying
- 9:06Speaker 6: those two.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Well to This is Tie's first week of practice back
- 9:12Speaker 2: and he's looked pretty good and he's certainly a good goaltender,
- 9:15Speaker 2: and I really think it's a strong position to be
- 9:20Speaker 2: in when you have two goaltenders that can win you
- 9:22Speaker 2: Hockey East games. So we'll, you know, take it game
- 9:26Speaker 2: by game, but it's nice knowing and this is the
- 9:29Speaker 2: first time all year that we've had the both of
- 9:31Speaker 2: them healthy, so it's nice knowing that we have an
- 9:34Speaker 2: option for both of them to play.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Then, Caden's got two goals in his last two games,
- 9:41Speaker 6: obviously had huge numbers in the USHL, leads the team
- 9:44Speaker 6: in shots. Do you see this being the start of
- 9:48Speaker 6: something for him scoring wise. Is he doing something that
- 9:50Speaker 6: could maybe lead to more goals.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I think, as you said, he's been getting shots on net,
- 9:56Speaker 2: you know, and that's what he has to keep doing.
- 9:59Speaker 2: He has to have the mindset of I've got to
- 10:01Speaker 2: get four to five shots on that every game, you know,
- 10:05Speaker 2: and if he does that, pucks will go in for him.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Natalie will jump over to you, all right, Good morning, coach.
- 10:16Speaker 7: So excited to be back with you this weekend.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah, good morning.
- 10:20Speaker 7: I actually wanted to ask you about Tray Scott. It
- 10:23Speaker 7: seems like throughout the course of the season he kind
- 10:25Speaker 7: of had you know, a point here, point there, but
- 10:27Speaker 7: the last game he had three assists. I guess you
- 10:30Speaker 7: know what allowed him to be so impactful in that
- 10:32Speaker 7: game in particular. Was there anything that really kind of
- 10:34Speaker 7: facilitated that success, you.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Know, Natalie, he didn't play the first couple of games
- 10:40Speaker 2: of the year, and I give Tyler Health him a
- 10:44Speaker 2: lot of credit because he was the one who really
- 10:46Speaker 2: pushed to bring him here to Yukon. I didn't know
- 10:49Speaker 2: much about him as a player. I had never even
- 10:51Speaker 2: seen him play, with the exception of video, I didn't
- 10:54Speaker 2: see him play live. But Tyler had seen him and
- 10:57Speaker 2: really really liked him as a player, and you know,
- 10:59Speaker 2: when he came here, he just kept practicing so well,
- 11:04Speaker 2: we said we got to get him into a game,
- 11:07Speaker 2: and he's never looked back. He got into a game.
- 11:09Speaker 2: He's got so much poised with the puck. He's patient,
- 11:14Speaker 2: you know, and that's the reason why he had three
- 11:16Speaker 2: cysts the other night. He was patient and he didn't
- 11:19Speaker 2: do anything you know, revolutionary. He got bucks down to
- 11:23Speaker 2: the net and they happen to get tipped and go in.
- 11:26Speaker 2: So but he's got a great feel offensively and he's
- 11:29Speaker 2: quarterbacking one of the power play units now. And the
- 11:32Speaker 2: hockey iq is really really high, which couple out with
- 11:38Speaker 2: a good skater and you know, good skill, you know
- 11:43Speaker 2: you're gonna have a good hockey player there. And he
- 11:45Speaker 2: certainly has proved that this year.
- 11:48Speaker 7: Would you say it took him a little time to
- 11:50Speaker 7: kind of find I don't know if it's his groove
- 11:51Speaker 7: or his confidence throughout the first half. And you know,
- 11:54Speaker 7: what will the second half look like for him? You
- 11:56Speaker 7: think he's going to emerge.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Well, I think he already has emerged, I think, and
- 12:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I think he's always been a confident kid.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I think it was us giving him the opportunity, and
- 12:05Speaker 2: once we gave him the opportunity, he's taken the ball
- 12:08Speaker 2: and he's run with it.
- 12:11Speaker 7: I also, you know, with the with the un H series,
- 12:14Speaker 7: I feel like this is always a fun one to
- 12:15Speaker 7: talk about on the broadcast side. You started your career
- 12:18Speaker 7: or Mike Susa, you know, both at yukon twenty thirteen
- 12:21Speaker 7: to twenty fifteen. How much of a friendship has there
- 12:25Speaker 7: been established over the years and do you like playing
- 12:28Speaker 7: against each other this time?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Well, I've known Mike god when he was a player.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I recruited him unsuccessfully way back when. And then you know,
- 12:39Speaker 2: then we actually worked at camp one summer when he
- 12:42Speaker 2: was still at UNH. He was still a student at
- 12:44Speaker 2: un H, and I got to know him a little
- 12:46Speaker 2: bit there. Definitely had stayed in touch. We had a
- 12:49Speaker 2: lot of mutual friends. I knew his agent very very well.
- 12:54Speaker 2: And then when he came available, you know, when I
- 12:57Speaker 2: got the job here, he was one of my first
- 12:59Speaker 2: phone calls. It was great working with him. He was
- 13:04Speaker 2: right here on the ground floor when we started. And
- 13:07Speaker 2: then when the opportunity came for him to go back
- 13:09Speaker 2: to New Hampshire. I totally understood that, being his Alma Mada,
- 13:13Speaker 2: and I'm really happy for It's not easy and it's
- 13:17Speaker 2: not easy to follow Dick, you Millie, I mean, who
- 13:22Speaker 2: had so much success at New Hampshire, and you know,
- 13:26Speaker 2: Mike havn't played for him, and it's really I think
- 13:30Speaker 2: it'd be really tough. I was always I was in
- 13:32Speaker 2: that position as an assistant coach for you know, Jerry
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yorke for so long, and I always thought, God, if
- 13:38Speaker 2: I ever took over for him, it would be different
- 13:39Speaker 2: because your relationships with the players are different as an
- 13:43Speaker 2: assistant coach to a head coach, So that transition I
- 13:47Speaker 2: didn't really envy him having to do that, and you know,
- 13:50Speaker 2: I think it was probably toughest first couple of years.
- 13:52Speaker 2: But you've seen now that he's been able to kind
- 13:56Speaker 2: of put his fingerprints on the program, how much success
- 13:59Speaker 2: they've having, and I'm always rooting for him, except for
- 14:04Speaker 2: this weekend fair enough.
- 14:08Speaker 7: You know, speaking of travel with your team, you don't
- 14:10Speaker 7: get to travel, you know, too much. But you went
- 14:12Speaker 7: to Milwaukee over the holiday break. Was there anything you
- 14:16Speaker 7: did away from the rink with the team that was
- 14:18Speaker 7: kind of a fun like bonding moment.
- 14:21Speaker 2: You know, we have some great supporters in Jim and
- 14:24Speaker 2: Jane Mitchell. We have an award named after him, and
- 14:28Speaker 2: also David Anne for Chante. They came out with us
- 14:31Speaker 2: and they sponsored a dinner for us the night before
- 14:35Speaker 2: we played Alaska and it was off the charts dinner
- 14:39Speaker 2: at the steakhouse that they brought us to. So that
- 14:43Speaker 2: was really a fun night. But other than that, there's
- 14:47Speaker 2: not a lot of time, Natalie, Like you know, we're
- 14:50Speaker 2: all flying out there the day after Christmas. We all
- 14:53Speaker 2: get out there about eight o'clock. The next day, we're practicing.
- 14:55Speaker 2: We had the dinner and then we played a game
- 14:58Speaker 2: at one o'clock in the afternoon. So it was a
- 15:01Speaker 2: very very quick turnaround for us. So it wasn't like
- 15:05Speaker 2: we got to go to the Taps Blue Ribbon Bottling plant.
- 15:09Speaker 2: So one of them go see go see My players
- 15:12Speaker 2: didn't even know. I said, this is what happy days
- 15:14Speaker 2: and Laverne Shirley was they had no idea what I
- 15:16Speaker 2: was talking about. You probably don't either, Natalie.
- 15:20Speaker 7: I was gonna say, you know what I don't, but
- 15:22Speaker 7: I don't want to expose myself there.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Thank you so much, exactly. Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 3: That was one of my old man references that Randy
- 15:33Speaker 3: would look at me like, what what is wrong with you?
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, we'll go Cooper and then Joe you
- 15:40Speaker 1: can wrap us up.
- 15:41Speaker 6: All right?
- 15:42Speaker 2: Sounds good.
- 15:43Speaker 5: I gotta be honest, I have no idea either.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Surprised Coach Cooper, Nice to meet you.
- 15:51Speaker 5: I just wanted to ask about one of your other
- 15:52Speaker 5: defensemen and John Spetts and you know, for a young group,
- 15:57Speaker 5: what has he meant to that group?
- 15:59Speaker 2: He is Cooper. I was so glad when he decided
- 16:02Speaker 2: to come back as a fifth year senior, both he
- 16:05Speaker 2: and Hudson. Because of all the players that I've had,
- 16:08Speaker 2: I don't think there's a like a player that's more
- 16:12Speaker 2: of a student of the game than John Spetz. He
- 16:16Speaker 2: is literally another coach on the ice, in practice and
- 16:20Speaker 2: in games. He understands concepts in the game as well
- 16:25Speaker 2: as anybody I've been around. And he's very good at
- 16:29Speaker 2: being a liaison between the coaching staff and some of
- 16:32Speaker 2: our younger players in helping them comprehend some of them.
- 16:38Speaker 2: It's not like it's rocket science, but still, when you're
- 16:40Speaker 2: a young player, you might not understand the idiosyncrasies and
- 16:44Speaker 2: the little things that details that come with playing it
- 16:48Speaker 2: within a system. And John's very good at, you know,
- 16:53Speaker 2: breaking it down for them and maybe putting it in
- 16:56Speaker 2: the language they understand that sometimes we can't as older coaches.
- 17:03Speaker 5: And then just you know, big picture here, you know,
- 17:05Speaker 5: you look at the league and you've got you know,
- 17:07Speaker 5: maybe eight, nine, ten teams all in a similar pairwise
- 17:09Speaker 5: situation with basically you know, most of the league to go,
- 17:13Speaker 5: and that includes you. I mean, when you look at
- 17:15Speaker 5: the way the league is right now and what's ahead
- 17:17Speaker 5: of you and all of these teams, I mean, what
- 17:19Speaker 5: comes to mind for you.
- 17:21Speaker 2: I think it's fantastic. I told the team that the
- 17:23Speaker 2: other day, of fourteen of our sixteen games, I think
- 17:27Speaker 2: Vermont's twenty six and the pairwise so fourteen of our
- 17:31Speaker 2: sixteen games are like essentially against top twenty five pairwise teams,
- 17:36Speaker 2: and thirteen of them are against teams in front of us.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I think, so, or maybe eleven or against I forget
- 17:44Speaker 2: what the numbers. I think maybe Quinnipiac, you, Mass, Northeastern,
- 17:48Speaker 2: but they're all in the top twenty five the only
- 17:52Speaker 2: ones maybe below us right now. But I think it's
- 17:55Speaker 2: a great position to be in. I would not want
- 17:58Speaker 2: to be in a position. And there are a few
- 17:59Speaker 2: teams I was looking at that are like fourteen, sixteen,
- 18:04Speaker 2: seventeen in the pairwise and they don't have one game
- 18:07Speaker 2: against teams ahead of them. I mean, that's that's basically
- 18:11Speaker 2: what you're saying is we got to go play eight
- 18:15Speaker 2: hundred percent here down the stretch or win our tournament
- 18:18Speaker 2: to get in. And that's that's a very hard position
- 18:23Speaker 2: to be in. You know, we're in a position where listen,
- 18:27Speaker 2: it's I don't know if we can win all our games,
- 18:32Speaker 2: you know, but you expect to win the next one.
- 18:35Speaker 2: And if you have that mindset, you know, and you're
- 18:38Speaker 2: playing against opponents like we're going to play against, it
- 18:41Speaker 2: puts you in a great position to make the national tournament.
- 18:43Speaker 2: You control your own destiny as far as making the
- 18:45Speaker 2: national tournament.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Last one for me, you know, kind of with that
- 18:50Speaker 5: context in mind, you've played what eighteen games at this point.
- 18:54Speaker 5: When you look at the first eighteen big picture, what
- 18:57Speaker 5: is kind of the number one or number two things
- 18:59Speaker 5: that you take away as you look towards the second half.
- 19:03Speaker 2: The takeaway is we've you know, our schedule, strength to
- 19:06Speaker 2: schedule seventh in the country right now, and then I've
- 19:09Speaker 2: already told you what we have coming up, so it's
- 19:12Speaker 2: by far going to be a top ten schedule as
- 19:14Speaker 2: far as strength the schedule goes, could be top five
- 19:17Speaker 2: when it's all said and done. But that being said,
- 19:20Speaker 2: I want to be playing our best hockey, you know,
- 19:24Speaker 2: in February and March, and it's it's building and it's
- 19:27Speaker 2: weekends like this that help you build towards playing your
- 19:30Speaker 2: best hockey in February and March. So right now we're
- 19:33Speaker 2: just focus on the Wildcats and playing to the very
- 19:40Speaker 2: best of our ability on Friday night.
- 19:43Speaker 5: Thanks guts, appreciate it.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Sure, all right, Joe, you can wrap us up right,
- 19:50Speaker 2: thanks Ca.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Have you saw Jared Whale when he was with Alaska Anchorage.
- 19:54Speaker 3: He took the loss, but he made forty saves. What
- 19:57Speaker 3: do you see on him? That makes him a good
- 19:59Speaker 3: goal tod and has helped New Hampshire especially with that
- 20:03Speaker 3: as you said, that veteran defense in front of him.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Vince Stiletti reminded me of that of this week,
- 20:08Speaker 2: that he was a goaltender. It's funny, you know, when
- 20:11Speaker 2: I was an assistant coach, I could remember all that stuff.
- 20:13Speaker 2: We're here and a head coach. I can't remember who
- 20:15Speaker 2: played against us last week, you know, but Vince reminded
- 20:20Speaker 2: me that he played against us in Alaska and then
- 20:22Speaker 2: he was dynamite in that game. That was the All
- 20:24Speaker 2: Student game here, and I felt like we played extremely
- 20:29Speaker 2: well in that game and we had hard time getting
- 20:32Speaker 2: pucks by him, and we're fortunate to get one by
- 20:34Speaker 2: him in overtime to win that game. But he's a
- 20:38Speaker 2: super athletic, he's got good size, he competes, you know,
- 20:43Speaker 2: and he's played a lot of quality minutes for New
- 20:46Speaker 2: Hampshire this year. So we're gonna have to like like
- 20:50Speaker 2: all good goaltenders, you know, and we'll face a bunch
- 20:53Speaker 2: of them down the stretch here. You have to get
- 20:57Speaker 2: traffic in front of him. I mean, it's a broken record,
- 21:00Speaker 2: but you have to take their eyes away. You have
- 21:02Speaker 2: to get volume and uh, you're gonna have to get
- 21:07Speaker 2: quality looks and expect to get rebounds and second chance
- 21:11Speaker 2: opportunities if you want to be successful, because if he
- 21:15Speaker 2: gets clean looks, he's gonna make says, it's plain and simple.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Thank you sure, awesome, Well, thanks everyone for jumping on
- 21:24Speaker 1: coach thank you.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Good luck this weekend, all right, Thanks guys, thank you,
